Friday es la banda sonora de la película sobre de Felix Gary Gray de 1995 Friday. Gary es un director de cine, productor de cine y director de videos musicales estadounidense, ha sido director en numerosos videos musicales premiados y aclamados por la crítica, incluidos "It Was a Good Day" de Ice Cube, "Natural Born Killaz" de Dr. Dre e Ice Cube, "Keep Their Heads Ringin'" de Dr. Dre, " Waterfalls" de TLC y "Ms. Jackson" de Outkast.  

Friday fue lanzado hoy 11 de abril de 1995 a través de Priority Records y principalmente contiene música Rap y R&B. El disco cuenta con la producción 2 Live Crew, Angela Winbush, Bootsy Collins, CMT, DJ Muggs, DJ Pooh, Dr. Dre, E-A-Ski, E-Swift, Ice Cube, N.O. Joe, Ralph Tha Funky Mexican, Rashad Coes, Roger Troutman y Ronald Isley.  Conto con el sencillo de Dr. Dre "Keep Their Heads Ringin'" lanzado el 7 de marzo de 1995 que llegó al número 10 en el Billboard Hot 100 y al número 1 en la lista Hot Rap Tracks.  

El disco alcanzó el número 1 en el Billboard 200, donde ocupó el puesto durante 2 semanas, y en la lista de los mejores álbumes de R&B/Hip-Hop durante 6 semanas. El álbum fue certificado doble platino por la RIAA el 4 de junio de 1996. Se filmaron videos musicales para "Friday" y "Keep Their Heads Ringin '". Stephen Thomas Erlewine de AllMusic escribió: "la banda sonora de una comedia ligera coescrita por Ice Cube, el disco transmite todas las fortalezas de la exitosa radio urbana. Mantiene todos los buenos elementos del formato, incluido el G-funk de Dr. Dre , el Soul de la vieja escuela, el sonido del R&B contemporáneo y el infaltable gangsta rap: el disco suena como una colección de "Lo mejor de los 90".

James Bernard de Entertainment Weekly escribió: "No hay sorpresas aquí. Dr. Dre retumba sobre su ritmo suave e insistente en ("Keep Their Heads Ringin'"), Ice Cube suena enojado en ("Friday"), Cypress Hill canta sobre su obsesión con la marihuana, y E-A-Ski, contribuye con el alegre "Blast If I Have To". Agregue los clásicos de Rick James e Isley Brothers y obtendrá una experiencia auditiva familiar y divertida". En 2005, en el décimo aniversario de Friday, Priority Records lanzó un disco extra de once pistas titulado Old School Friday (Más música de la película original) junto con la banda sonora original. Estaba compuesto por nueve canciones, que aparecieron en la película, más dos canciones, "The Chase" y "Hangin 'in the Hood", de Hidden Faces, que no estaban en la película.

GEISHA READING A BOOK BEFORE SLEEPING -- A Meiji-era Studio View of Old Japan ("Salt Print" # 8) by Okinawa Soba (Rob) Via Flickr: From a rare series of ca.1880s-90s full-plate images printed by sunlight on simple "salted paper", and hand-tinted with transparent water colors -- but not by me. These are all over 110 years old. Photo attributed to REIJI EASKI. The process harks back to the very beginning of photography when Fox Talbot of England introduced the first commercially viable paper based photographic process to the world (but held himself and the world up with his jealously guarded patents). Although the first prints were made from waxed PAPER NEGATIVES called 'Calotypes", these "Revival Salt Prints" seen in the 11 prints posted here were made with GLASS NEGATIVES. The print paper had no emulsion layer (no collodian, albumen, or gelatin), and was developed right into the silver-sensitized fibers of the PLAIN PAPER they used. As the tinting was applied, it soaked immediately into the paper, living up to the literal meaning of SATURATED color. As you can see here, both the photograph and color that saturated the paper have remained rich and vibrant. However, a few photographers who also went down the salt print road were not so lucky, as poor processing and underexposed images tended to have fading problems. That being said, a well done Salt Print is a beauty to behold.

Did Taka gave that medallion to Shiya as a gift? Why is he put a shocked face when he learned that Shiya wants him gone for good? On a scale of 1 to 10 how betrayed Taka felt when he learned the truth?

Nope, the medallion is Shiya’s temple symbol~ :3 Taka didn’t recognized it but he now has it embed in his mind that it’s ‘her’.

Taka froze in shock because the last person from his past he’d expect to hunt his butt is Shiya. Remember, he thinks he left her in good hands and that she grew up happy. Upon hearing that the grudged masters that sent Easky to hunt him down is Shiya herself, all of the past kind of rushed in on him. After all, he’s grown enough now to know he messed up. It was just momentarily an overwhelming realization.

Don’t forget, he’s the true traitor here~ He absolutely has no right to feel betrayed for the reason I mentioned above and he knows. :3c Saddened, regretful and shocked, yes. Betrayed? Nope.

(Keep in mind Shiya’s extreme actions aren’t justified either, at least in my opinion. She could have handled this peacefully first, talk to him and learn he changed as a person too that can now feel remorse for his actions but nope! She wants to woop his butt!)
