Ya’ll cannot convince me this isn’t true. Headcanon or not he is their son and they are his birth parents.
I finished the game days ago and he literally has so much of both of them in him its crazy.
My headcanon is that his identity was concealed to protect his identity as a Kirigiri. Because as Kyoko says, Kirigiri detectives aren’t well known by choice. Yet he had Makoto’s desire to help everyone and make them happy despite that.
So he gave up his identity as a Kirigiri to protect his family’s identity. In case he ever becomes famous as his own detective. Leaving his family to grow on his own.
I feel like this would make the most sense.

i love how after everything that has happened, he STILL somehow thinks people won't turn up to his gigs. what a guy
Here's the thing: he hasn't actually seen everything that's happened. He hasn't had time to take that all in.
Before UMK, some dozens or tens of people came to his shows and he has made fun of it, saying that his gigs never have a back row because there are so few people attending. He even organized a joke contest in his IG stories, and the winning one was along the lines "I don't like crowds, that's why I only go to Käärijä's gigs". Then after UMK his gigs were suddenly sold out, but most of them were still on small venues and nightclubs that could fit maybe a few hundred people. He got big hype before UMK and even bigger after winning that of course, but he really didn't have time to react to anything as he was doing as many shows as possible and doing hundreds of interviews and podcasts and challenge videos and what have you, and practicing singing and dancing and performing before leaving to Liverpool.
Then he was in Liverpool for two weeks without almost any time off, again every day filled with interviews and promotion videos and parties and rehearsals, and the hours he had off he didn't spend on social media but with Joker Out and other contestants, just to relieve the stress and pressure. So he wasn't in Finland, and he wasn't on social media that much, so he didn't see the actual craze that took over this country. Kids dressing in green and practicing Cha Cha Cha on music classes, stores running out of piña colada and Malibu and pineapple juice and everything green including grapes, all landmarks and statues in every city either dressed up in green boleros or lighted up with green lights, people dying their hair green and getting bowlcuts, people getting Käärijä tattoos, people sewing so many green boleros and other outfits that the biggest fabric store chain ran out of all green fabrics, people with green make-up and nails, the fan art everyone was making, even the government offices and political parties changing their logos Käärijä green on Instagram and Facebook, the support messages and posts, literally every store from clothing chains to grocery stores and art supply stores putting their neon green and pink stuff on display in the window - hell, even my local pet store had their neon green fluffy cat toys on the prime spot!
He said in an interview that he heard rumours of all that happened, but of course he hasn't seen it. He said that he has around 100.000 notifications unread and he won't have time until maybe autumn to start checking out what has actually happened this year.
When you think about it from his point of view, six months ago he was a broke-ass musician with a day job, living in a tiny apartment. Some dozens of people used to come to his shows, and then suddenly after Cha Cha Cha he was selling out venues, small ones, but still. Then he left for Eurovision with the single goal of winning, and he didn't achieve that, so he thought himself as a loser, that he had disappointed everyone who supported him. From his point of view he is still the same broke-ass musician living in a tiny flat, but now he's unemployed and Eurovision loser so even more of a failure. So why are there thousands of people suddenly coming to the shows and wanting to see him? Of course it would be baffling to him. He wasn't there when he became a national hero, and he doesn't yet understand that he is no longer a failed musician, he is an international phenomenon.

So Aldebaran is a bit of an oddball. No remaining documentation of the OS mentions his existence.
He isn't a real module per se, but rather a blended state of Rigel and Vega in control at the same time. As a result of the their contradictory access models, the Operating System doesn't really know what to do with them and gives them... Superuser/root access. In other words the OS defaults into granting them absolute control over it, including crucial system files.
Combine that with the emotional instability the resulting person is constantly experiencing thanks to equally contradictory personalities, and you can imagine how much can go wrong very easily.
(rigel is there only to give a comparative height difference)
[First Image ID:
Turn around reference of Aster with Aldebaran fronting: a humanoid being with four arms in a tuxedo-esque suit, with round poofed up shoulders for both sets of arms and a triangular twin tail on the coat, round head with rays resembling a star. His right hand of the frontal set of arms has a long poofy sleeve, the other has a elbow-long glove, and the other way around for the set of arms on his back. The backs of his hands, tie, and sleeve cufflinks have an outline of a crescent moon with a dot in the middle. He's shown standing in front view, back view and side view. He has a dark purple-lavender-white color scheme, with his only eye and teeth in dark purple color. The pupil in the eye is a golden spark. Next to the front view Rigel is partially visible, to showcase the height difference: he's shorter than the Aldebaran form by the diameter of Aldebaran's head hemisphere.
Text reads: Aster. Module: Aldebaran. [Multiple question marks obscuring text in pixelated font: "Root Access Granted"] Agent. Adult. He/they.
First image ID end]
[Second image ID:
Turn around reference of Aster with Aldebaran fronting (cont.), but without the coat, showing that the arms which have a long glove cut off at the shoulder with a purple rim. The size reference Rigel is also coatless.
Second image ID end]

Yeah so I'm an Amber apologist until the day I die.
I do think there's potentially a minor writing hiccup but I'm gonna set things out as best I can from my understanding.
What a lot of people don't pick up on, and what the show tries to convey in episode 5, is that Mark has been a phenomenally shitty boyfriend to Amber. We only see a few brief snippets of him cancelling some dinner plans, but this has been a constant, unfaltering issue for 3 months. 'He's late, he doesn't show, and he always has some shitty excuse.' From Amber's point of view, it wouldn't be unreasonable for her to think she means nothing to him.
But she recognises that the situation is complex, and she cares about him, and she sees that he IS trying, if not enough. So she gives him second chance after second chance. Honestly far longer than she should have done.
But yeah, their relationship is on the ROCKS for a LONG time. But since we see Mark superheroing throughout most of that, we can't put ourselves in her shoes.
So then, flash forward to Upstate U and the reveal. My controversial theory, but the one I think most makes sense in terms of writing, is that Amber didn't know Mark was Invincible until he tells her.
Amber is visibly startled when she sees Mark flying in her room. Granted she would be even if she knew, but it leans more to her not knowing than the contrary.
Amber does not know who Invincible is at Upstate U, and she never refers to him by name in the confrontation: 'I know you're a superhero', 'fly away, flyboy'. If she had known 'weeks beforehand' a cursory google would have been likely. She would be more likely to refer to him by name.
Amber is very intelligent, she's quick-witted, she's an expert at putting up walls as a defence mechanism and she hates being lied to. She would be capable of concealing her surprise, and wouldn't want to lose control in the conversation, but honestly she doesn't have to. Because her reaction seems genuine, even if its less premeditated than she puts on.
Amber goes into that interaction thinking Mark is a liar, a coward, a flake and an asshole. That interaction recontextualises him as a liar, a flake and an asshole. In different ways sure, but the end result is the same. Amber's whole issue is that she doesn't feel valued by Mark, and she's just been told that he was hiding an entire secret life from her because he didn't trust her. Also, Mark is not 'trusting her now': he's using Invincible as a retroactive get out of jail free card for being an asshole for 3-4 months. He frames it in a way that, even if its unintentional on his part, makes her out to be small, and petty, and irrational: 'because im out saving lives or protecting the planet.' It sounds like he's blaming her for being mad at him, and he's SO SURE she'll forgive him everything in that moment. She doesn't want to let him off the hook for being shitty, and Mark's behaviour isn't helping. This is supposed to convey that the way he treated her isn't ok even if he was a superhero, and he shouldn't expect it to be.
And she isn't happy about being angry with him! The scene ends with her looking pensive, conflicted, because the walls she put up in that scene do not reflect her character! She goes back to Mark to make sure he's alright, because she sees his actions in a different light, and bear in mind, at this point, Mark is still viewed by the public as someone who played a pretty substantial role in killing around 50,000 people at a guess. She's not going back to him because he's a hero now. He's public enemy number 2. That is an INCREDIBLE amount of integrity and dedication, traits she's displayed repeatedly throughout the season through her grassroots support of local communities.
William literally says in his pep talk to Mark:
'But you were a shitty boyfriend to Amber and you got what you deserved'. This is Mark's number 1 fan. Laying it out in front of us.
And last, but of course, not least,
Guys she's fucking seventeen cut her some slack jesus christ she's not a calculator

i know this is an unpleasant memory and you dont have to answer ---- how the hell did that racist edit of your mlp art even reach your eyeballs in the first place
someone actually sent it to me to let me know about it (not with bad intentions) - there were actually two edits and the one that came first was a whitewashed edit (i had drawn twilight sparkle as brownskinned in the original piece). i tried to ask people to report the post to take it down, but that didn't work, and the blackface edit came a day-ish after. in the end the website basically removed the options to report the post for the specific racist stuff and i don't think it ever got taken down lol... it's been over a year and it's not as bad to talk about now, but it still pisses me off a bit

i truly believe that the zombies in plants vs zombies are not, by the traditional definition, zombies. i don't believe that there is any official lore so this is my speculation based on the (first) game.
zombies in popular culture are humans who have died and their corpses are reanimated through some means, and they attack/eat humans, who then become zombies in turn. why might one assume the pvz enemies match this definition?
one, they are called zombies. two, they enjoy eating brains. three, lyrics in the ending song support this: "we are the undead" and "i used to play football". these lines imply that the zombies used to be living, then died, and now are undead. however, i don't believe this. i think that they refer to themselves as undead because they understand their similarities to traditional zombies. and i think the football zombie assumes he used to play football, based on his outfit, but doesn't actually remember it (seeing as his description in the suburban almanac says "he has no idea what a football is").
i believe that they are not truly undead because - the crux of my argument - all of the zombies are created from scratch by dr zomboss. as in, i don't think he's reanimating humans. i think he's creating these grunts to do his bidding because he personally benefits from what they do. this can be supported by crazy dave in level 5 of the pool levels: "funny thing about the zombie process, sometimes it makes them come out real little. and real mean!" and then the level is filled with extremely tiny but fast zombies. i refuse to believe that this could have resulted from the reanimating of humans. dr zomboss has some kind of machine somewhere that zombies just emerge from wholecloth, and if he fucks it up then they come out tiny. see also: the gargantuar zombie, which absolutely could not have been the corpse of a human. i know crazy dave is cartoonishly stylized and human, but there's just no way. plus the fact that each zombie of each type wears identical clothing, acting identical, and they just keep coming without fail. i mean, i know the main character lives across the street from a graveyard, but there cannot possibly be that many graves.
actually i just read backup dancer zombie's description which says that he graduated from a performing arts center in "zombie new york city" so actually i think zombies just live in this world alongside humans, terrorizing humans, and dr edgar zomboss just built the robot and is a sort of cult leader. ignore everything i said above because i have no fucking idea what the lore is
