Hello and welcome to my bodyshop previews so I can at least hope to ever finish this project era.

eftopblouse replaced with a retexture by @goatskickin using Xandher’s Chelsea sweater.

eftopcowgirlshirt replaced with Trapping's flannel shirt and EF conversion of Bunhead's triple band shirt. This default is by Moogle, I just reduced the number of textures.

eftopflaredwaist replaced with Amaryll layerable cardigan, @deedee-sims Vest Open Short and this top by @artemida-sims (requires their eftopnaked default).

eftoppoloshirt replaced with @deedee-sims Easy Does It Short Sleeve, plus one recolour by @chaotic-simmer​ (released previously, included for your convenience).

eftopsweaterset by @biffysims with DeeDee’s 3t2 Belted Sweater. All credit goes to Biffy, I just removed empty textures.

eftoptuckedwaist replaced by Deveroux with Trapping's EF conversion of Bunhead's wing top, and by Kamina with Needlecream textures. I reduced the number of textures and changed some of the colours (added black and red I think?).

I need to say something. The saltiness I have seen against Seyka. The negativity to Aloy and Seyka's relationship even. It's hurtful and sad. I am so sad to see this from such an amazing community that I love very much. A lot of us LOVE Seyka. Attacking her character, claiming she is written badly etc. Please stop. All that is a salty opinion that some people may agree with but doesn't mean it's true for the rest of us. And it's hurtful to see everyone attacking each other over it. You are allowed to be critical of the story. But attacking each other, lashing out, being mean is wrong. I love all the characters in Horizon. All of them! And it's fine if you don't. But be polite and respectful.

Aloy is confirmed bi/lesbian. Can't we all be happy for her at least? Your fantasy still continues on with whomever character you ship her with. It doesn't need to be canon. That's not what this story is about. It's not about your fantasy. It's about Aloy's growth and her learning about love. It was beautifully and respectfully told too. So relatable as a lesbian for me. Everything. And in my opinion, It wasn't rushed at all. It felt natural. Realistic. 🌹💞

Then you got the saltiest ones saying. "But Aloy has built up all these other characters who mean something to her and putting Seyka with her as her lover is like tossing the rest of the characters under the bus." 😒 Really? So That's like me saying. I got all these people who are into me sexually and friends in my life who I made deep connections with. That means I should and must date them?? 😬 Red flag alert! No!

Sorry kids but that's not how it works. Seyka just happens to be what Aloy wants and opens her heart at the right time. It's realistic, natural and her own decision. I feel like Tilda and Lis' tragic love story helped to make Aloy realize something deeper in herself. It's Guerrilla's story and they are telling it beautifully. Not some cheap dating sim. Look, I ship Tilda with Aloy. I get it. But I am not upset that Aloy never got with her. Specially since it was canon that Tilda was totally obsessively in love with Aloy and Lis. Then she went and died. (Left up to speculation of course. 😌) Spite whoever Aloy is with romantically, I just want Tilda to be in the 3rd game.

It's fiction and supposed to be fun. But people are legit shitting on Seyka and each other! I find Seyka is an amazingly well written character. People are more upset that Aloy didn't get forced into being with their favorite character. I understand we love our favorite characters but the negativity saltiness around it is toxic. Aloy can be with whoever she wants and Seyka is her girl she chose. Seyka also represents girls out there who look like her for once. Another plus. And if you chose for her not to be with Seyka...it doesn't change her sexuality or who Aloy is and what she likes. Sorry if that upsets you but not sorry. She's B/L and we should really be happy about this. Sometimes it's our own community that can stop more industries from making games for us. Since it's always easier to go the straight route. Then it's typical and the drama stays out of it. Is that what you want?

I am so happy for Aloy and her story. I am proud of Guerrilla for telling the story they want. (Spite all the backlash now from all sides.) And not listening to any particular group who think they deserve the favoritism. Instead they gave us something new and fresh. A new character who vibes with Aloy and gives her confidence who she feels equal to but also only knows her as the girl who fell to earth. Not the savior. Not the outcast and I prefer that. I just see it as the more the merrier. Seyka is just another beautiful character we can ship Aloy with in fanart/fics. But some people rather be angry about it all and cause drama, even use it to hate on other shippers. Like fine, do that if it makes you feel better. But it looks salty and really raised a red flag for me.

Also as a middle aged elder gay who works in the gaming industry and sees so much bigotry, this behavior doesn't help and looks bad on the lgbtq+. I've seen some amazing devs already be talked badly about because of their decision. We really need to be more supportive of each other and characters that represent us and companies who risk a lot to tell stories made for smaller minority groups. The game industry is still far from being a healthy environment for women, PoC and LGBTQ+. Let's not make it worse. ❤👏 Thank you.

uh I had more to say about this

When making elder cc (mostly EF but I’m looking to do much more EM stuff too, yay grandpa), I do try to highlight shapes and choose patterns, that - to me - scream: “I’ve lived a good long life. I’m not 21 anymore and I don’t want to be. But I’m no schlub.”

All About Style has always been a huge style inspiration for me for grandmother fashion. That site’s EF clothing was the perfect mix of quirky, fashion-conscious and matronly-cool clothes. Judie had immaculate taste! There’s a reason her cc was beloved, even after years of play.

Much of existing elder cc is on alpha meshes. Those are fine and good! But I feel like elder sims need to be dressed in ‘bulkier’ stuff. It just makes sense to me. There’s tons of older elder CC that I see and like the idea of, but it’s painted on a mesh that is little more than the base EF/EM body shape on top. Idk, skintight sweaters on grandma or grandpa just kind of give me the willies. 😵‍💫 It’s not realistic either.

Plenty of elder cc is also Maxis match. Perfectly fine! Love those shapes way more. There are lots and lots of age conversions that look great on elders. But, I feel like our elders deserve more than a copy and paste of what we already have on offer for adult sims. So, I retexture those age conversions. The clothes just need to be stuffier, with more mature colors and patterns. Just, have more of a mature “vibe”.

On a more tinfoil hat note (lol), I think some simmers do not like to play elders at all, and that has everything to do with fearing age itself. And not having a worthy selection of clothes for them, that too. 😂

But I mean, there are mods to skip elderhood entirely. And a clothing mod to make elders have the standard AF chest instead of a sagging one exists, and that has existed forever. It’s like one of the oldest mods out there! And a mod to make them not have the “elder” walk. All things to make them less “oldpersony”.

Elders are thought of as being boring or unimportant sims, something to avoid, unappealing. I think that says way more about how people feel about aging themselves. But I think it’s much more freeing to embrace and enjoy a stage of life that I’ll face myself.

And let me know who I should look to next for style inspiration. I’ve already gained inspirash from: the Golden Girls, the oracle from the matrix, Eartha Kitt as madame Zeroni in Holes, probably anything Stevie Nicks has worn recently, anything Judi Dench has worn as M in the Bond movies, André Leon Talley (rip), Sag Harbor, Eddie Bauer and Squaw Valley sweaters and long skirts from the 90’s, what Diane Keaton is wearing in any movie, any era, Guinan from Star Trek: Next Gen (slay, the colors especially), thinking if it would look good on current day Jane Seymour then go for it, my friend whose mom is a high school art teacher, a sprinkle of Mrs. Doubtfire, a sprinkle of Miranda Priestly, and of course, anything Prue Leith wears.

NSB (Straud Legacy) Gen 9 Ep 29: Young Love

Luigi did his best to leave all the negativity behind when he went home, where young love was the order of the day.

The co-habiting couple of Tess and Hunter continued to have casual fun together both in and out of the bedroom. Neither one was ready to make their relationship official or exclusive, but they were thoroughly enjoying getting to know one another better.

On the opposite end of the spectrum Denton was looking to fast track his new relationship with the bold and beautiful Bridget.

When casual talk about marriage didn’t scare her off Denton was more sure than ever that what they had was made to go the distance and the couple quickly progressed to going steady.

He was completely taken with the other sim, and in no time they were basically inseparable.

Unfortunately, rushing into things often meant that there was a lot yet to learn, and Denton quickly found out that was the case with his beloved.

Bridget’s bold nature turned unpleasantly dramatic. She’d fly off the handle for no reason at all and rudely reject Denton’s advances only to come onto him minutes later. Eventually she admitted that she was in therapy to manage her evil nature and begged him not to leave her “like everyone else” had.

Denton had been thinking about breaking things off but the fear and sadness in her eyes made his heart swell with sympathy. No one was perfect, he reasoned, and everyone deserved a second chance. She was clearly trying hard, and he was willing to put in the same effort.

Denton reaffirmed his love for Bridget, telling her he’d help her any way he could. He began checking in frequently on her progress and did his best to overlook her angry words, which he had to admit were usually immediately followed up by an affirmation of her devotion.

The relationship wasn’t easy, but despite their struggles Denton continued to fall deeper in love with the beautiful, troubled, young sim.

Luigi and Noemi’s relationship was effortless by contrast. Having so much in common they quickly became good friends “with benefits”, actively seeking each other out as study buddies on campus and as casual lovers many a night after their respective club meetings ended.

Luigi and Isra had always struggled in conversation. Noemi, on the other hand, just seemed to “get” him, and that felt fantastic. The added benefit of someone to relax in bed with, woohoo-ing his worries away at the end of a stressful day, was delicious icing on the cake.

When Noemi invited him to a quick dinner date before practice one afternoon Luigi put aside his distaste of restaurants. He was happy to pay strangers to provide him less delicious food than his family could easily cook if she was the one sitting across the table from him.

They had a fantastic time, as usual, and as the meal wound down Noemi admitted she was falling for him. She was ready to leave her spouse for good, but her wife was an elder, and pretty much leaving for good all on her own. This upcoming Harvestfest would likely be her last and Noemi wanted it to be a happy one. Luigi could appreciate that, remembering how important those final holidays had been to Papa Jack when he was growing up.

The pair parted all smiles, Luigi looking forward to taking their relationship to the next level as soon as Noemi was officially free.

Sims 4 Legacy Challenge: Stranger in The Alps by Phoebe Bridgers

Heya! I like to make legacy challenges for the Sims 4 :)

This one here is based off of the album "Stranger in The Alps" by Phoebe Bridgers. I'm not done yet, but the first three gens (Smoke Signals, Motion Sickness, and Funeral) are going to be below.

Talking through your emotions has always been hard, so instead you’d write about them. You lost your best friend after you got pregnant, now you focus all your attention on music and your baby. You slowly begin to rise in fame through the years, but you still have a missing piece.

This version of the Super Keener Trait has been completely refurbished, and deserves its very own post. The trait includes skills, wants, and autonomy from several game packs, including Base Game, but they are not required to use the trait. You simply shouldn't get anything popping up if you don't have the relevant pack.

The Super Keener Trait V6 can still be applied to sims aged child-elder.

CAS trait picker blurb:

"You love to learn and you do it well! You tend to require less time than other sims to build your mental and social skills, and maybe a few others. Genius? Extremely capable? Pff! You are next level!"

Found in Lifestyles category. I know I swap back and forth between categories, but I found this version fits best in Lifestyles.

Right off the bat, your sim will be focused, and they will always have the focused moodlet, because Super Keeners are always ready to learn! I call this, In the Zone.

There is also now a proximity buff called Like minded individual alert! and your Super Keener will be happy to be around other intelligent sims. This happens under certain circumstances, and the list is long, but basically around geeks, geniuses, sims in certain careers at level 3, Honors graduates, etc, as long as your sim is interacting with the sim with one of the required traits, your sim will receive a Happy +1 moodlet.

Vampire: the Masquerade Legacy Challenge

Since Forgotten Realms Chalenge I play is coming to the last quarter, I decided to look for some other challenges that might interest me. Along the way I decided to write my own rules for challenge inspired by my favorite roleplay setting, Vampire: The Masquerade. I took only Camarilla clans, and I totally ignored the 5th ediction, so Gangrels are also a part of this.

So, this is to be played as a legacy of vampires in The SIms 4. The next generation is supposed to be embraced by Vampire Creation ability, however, if you wish, your sims may reproduce the classic way.

Generation 1: Ventrue

You are from old blood and old customs. You were born to rule, and everyone has no choice but to comply with it. The power of your persuasion and influence knows no bounds. All those young fledglings don’t realize how inferior are they to you, and they are needed to be guided with a firm hand. You deserve only the best, the most luxurious and rare, be it your house or the blood you drink.

Dress sim only in old-fashioned outfits

Get Good Manners (P) trait before aging up to adulthood

Generation 3: Nosferatu

To you, unlife is unfair. Cursed with ugly looks, forced to hide among the trash and to drink from junkies and rats – that could hardly make happy anyone. But you managed to find an escape in the Net and comradery among the other outcasts. You help to maintain the Masquerade with your outstanding hacking abilities, and that pays oh so well.

Create a really scary sim, even in non-dark form. When leaving home lot, always dress them in disguise.

You dream of becoming a great artist, but manage to create only bleek copies of what you used to make when you were a mere mortal.

You don’t care about mortals’ and the Kindred’s opinion of you; you see them all through. Sometimes bearing with visions of the Final Nights becomes too much and you either succumb to them, or dose yourself with narcotic substances.

Get yourself crazy and weird outfits for each slot, like hot-dog, hamster or panda

General Rules for each generation:

All sims must be vampires

All sims must complete at least 2 lifetime aspirations

After 2-3 aspirations your elder vampire and their spouse will retire to a gothic mansion/castle in another world, relinquishing the title of coven leader (Kick them out of the club but you can make a separate club for ex Leaders if you would like)

Keep record of every vampire (family and turned sims) via painting (Painter will be the second Gen Heir)

All generations must master the vampire lore skill

All generations must have the ‘vampire creation’ skill

Play on normal lifespan

Generation One

Aspirations: Master Vampire, World-Famous Celebrity

Traits: Determined, Passionate, and Ambitious

Career: Entertainer

To do:

Marry one of the three original premade vampires in forgotten hollow- Vladislaus Straud IV, Caleb Vatore or Lilith Vatore

Win in a fight against Vlad then move into his house kicking him out (Unless you married him)

Have four or more children

Retire to a huge gothic mansion/castle in Del Sol Valley

Max out the entertainer career and quit when you retire

Have one child from a affair

Max out the Piano, Singing and Violin skills

Story: You are new to Forgotten Hollow. You are a young vampire with a lot of dreams- primarily you want to start your own vampire coven and become the greatest musician of this time. There you find three other vampires and you make it your goal to get close to them. They help you learn how to be a vampire and hone your skills. One of them falls in love with you along the way.

You start your coven and marry, that is when a mysterious vampire swoops in something about them attracts you in a physical way that you cannot resist. Without realizing how deep your consequences go you end up pregnant/getting them pregnant. Not wanting to continue the affair as you love your spouse you end things shortly after finding out. They disappear after the birth of the child with hatred between you two.

You take in the child and tell your spouse of the affair, initially things are rough but you both work it out. Raising your family as if the affair never happened, not wanting it to affect your relationship and the children.

Generation Two

Aspirations: Vampire Family, Painter Extraordinaire

Traits: Sensitive, Creative, and Slow-to-warm-up

Career: Painter

To do:

Do not marry until you complete your 2 aspirations

Have only one child

Max out the Painter career then quit and work on creating portraits for the family and turned sims

Retire to a loft in San Myshuno (blade vibes)

Have a negative relationship with your oldest half sibling

Create 4-5 vampire offspring to add to the coven

Max out Painting, Charisma, and Pipe Organ skills

Story: You were the creation of an affair between your mother/father and an unknown vampire they will not speak about. You don’t even know if your other parent is alive with how little is spoken about them.

Watching your mother/father interact with their spouse as if the affair never affected them bothered you a little. Shouldn’t there be some trust issues there? Still you were at least grateful that your step mother/father always treated you as their own.

You were surprised when the time came you were elected to be the leader of the coven when they were ready to retire. This elicited the rage of your older half sibling who believed as the eldest child of both the heir and their spouse deserved the title. You never were able to get along with him. With the oddness of your creation and the tension between you and your sibling you grew to have a hard time getting close to others. Focused on your skills as an artist and improving the coven to impress your parents you did not bother with romance until you felt satisfied with where you were. Even then you waited until you found your perfect soulmate.

Generation Three

Aspirations: Serial Romantic, Villainous Valentine

Traits: Heartbreaker, Egotistical, and Evil

Career: None

To Do:

Have a child with a married sim (If they born not a vampire turn them when you can)

Have a negative relationship with your parents and children

Never get a job (using the funds of the past two generations)

Get romantically involved with everyone in the Coven (besides family obviously) and have another child with one of them

Leave one of the Coven members at the altar

Never marry

Get a butler to raise your kids (rarely interact with them if it can be helped)

Retire to Sulani taking the remaining money and leaving only 100

Max out Charisma, and Mischief skills

Story: You knew of your power as a vampire so why should you not flaunt it? You can do whatever you want!

Being the only child you were destined to take over for your mother/father unfortunately for them. With a terrible relationship trying to control you, they hesitantly handed over the title. You personally did not care for the responsibilities that came with being Coven leader but at least it gave you access to other hot vampires which you took full advantage of even leaving one of them at the altar for a good laugh.

Getting pregnant/getting others pregnant including a celebrity was not part of your agenda so you never bothered being a parent leaving a butler to deal with them.

You also never bothered to work because why should you waste your immortal life working normal human jobs? Bleh! Plus you have the wealth from your predecessors to spend! Once your children were old enough you threw the title of Coven leader onto them and left taking the remaining fortune with you to live your days in Sulani continuing your crazy lifestyle.

Generation Four:

Aspirations: Fabulously Wealthy, Renaissance Sim

Traits: Self-Conscious, Serious, and Perfectionist

Career: You choose!

To Do:

Have multiple careers of your choosing and work on skills associated with each career (each job must get to at least lvl 5 before quitting)

Have your only Good friend be the heir of generation 2

Start with negative relationship with all Coven members and fix all relationships to acquaintance/friend (no higher and you will have to cheat to set relationships to negative)

Marry another vampire (randomly generated or create one)

Have twins(cheat this) and have strict dynamic with both

Retire in Forgotten Hollow and train any future vampires quitting your job

Achieve at least level 5 in 6 different skills

Story: So your mother/father was a little crazy and went off the deep end. Now you have no money and leaving you with a list of enemies because of their selfish actions. Lucky for you not EVERYONE hates you for being the child of a disappointment, your grandmother/father seems to be the only one who realizes you’re not your parent.

Now being forced as Coven leader you know you have a lot to fix and make-up for, which explains your overly serious manner. But deep down you’re super self-conscious it's not easy having everyone's eyes on you, including your great grandparents. Luckily as you started to accumulate wealth and impress with your wide variety of skills people started to hate you less and less. You even get married to another vampire even if you don’t really love them but they have a powerful bloodline that you wish to add to your own, everything for the sake of the Coven right?

When you finally feel satisfied with repairing the damage of your parent you decide to remain in Forgotten Hollow acting as a trainer to all current and new vampires who will join the Coven.

Generation Five:

Aspirations: Body Builder, Super Parent

Traits: Practical, Sporty, and Brilliant

Career: Athlete

To Do:

Max out the Athlete career and obtain all Vampiric Strength skill

Marry and turn your highschool sweetheart

Have at least 2 children and adopt 1

All children must max out all skills (from infant-kid)

If this sim has a opportunity to graduate early take it

Win a spar against each member of the coven

Retire to a modern gothic mansion in Oasis Springs

Max out Fitness, Parenting and Logic skills

Story: You grew up to be a very practical child. Your parents taught you to be nothing like your grandmother/father. They both wanted you to be the very best and had very high expectations of you which in truth you did not mind you always knew you were capable of impressing.

You were smart and fit, probably the envy of many. While you may have had many sims throwing themselves at you, you only had eyes for your highschool sweetheart marrying once the both of you became adults and turning them as your parents wanted you too. You had kids and even adopted one, you wanted to give them all a great start to their immortal life. When you were not working out or at work you put your all into raising your children, while you were not as strict as your own parents you raised them with a bit more love than you received.

When you were at your strongest you challenged the entire coven and won! Secretly reminding them who is in charge.

Generation Six:

Aspiration: Computer Whiz, Good Vampire

Traits: Squeamish, Geek, and Likable

Career: Tech Guru, and Video Making

To Do:

Never feed on a stranger and only ask for permission if you do feed (even after you complete the good vampire aspiration)

Max out Tech Guru career

Reach at least 1,000,000 followers

Make at least 2 good friends and 2 enemies (only drink from these 2 sims )

Acquire all Sun Immune skills

Do not take withered stomach or sleep of the undead weaknesses, Do take Guilty drinker

Marry someone from the Coven, children up to you this generation

Retire to Windenberg in a normal mansion

Max out Gaming, Charisma, and Media Production skills

Story: Unlike the rest of your family you could never imagine life without technology, it's about time we go out with the old ways. In truth you don't even like being a vampire it’s always plasma this, plasma that! You never really understood it because frankly, directly drinking plasma is gross, you don't know where that sim has been so you only drink from people you trust.

You find out being on technology all the time you turned out to be quite popular, people liked watching you and your high quality videos. Who would have thought a vampire who pretends to not be a vampire and a technical genius would be so popular? Despite not really paying too much attention to the Coven you’re supposed to lead as you’re focusing on your million plus followers and pretending you're human you do end up falling in love with one of them and marrying. Even if they’re all vampy you love them!

Generation Seven:

Aspiration: Jungle Explorer, Archaeological Scholar

Traits: Clumsy, Heroic, and Short-Tempered

Career: Part-Time Jobs only

To Do:

Visit Selvadorada at least once every two weeks

Marry someone you meet while visiting Selvadorada (turning them of course)

Have at least 2 children

Max out Selvadorian Culture, and Fitness skills

Create 2 vampires and add them to the Coven

Visit Gen 2 at least once a sim year and have a negative relationship with the Gen 3 heir

Retire in a Gothic Castle in Willow Creek

Story: Your parent was a bit of a public figure, which you always managed to stay away from and while also disagreeing with their “human” lifestyle. You’re determined to be a good leader for the coven and you’re very protective- enemies of the coven are treated with full hostility from you, mostly that aloof third leader. As a young adult just when your parent is about to retire, you decide to take a trip to the jungle to mentally prepare yourself for stepping up as the leader.

There you fall completely in love with Selvadorada culter, even falling in love with one of the locals. Once you’re married and return to lead you continue to visit as much as possible with your spouse that is why you only work part- time between the trips, and kids it's all you can afford plus the two new bloods you created. Why haven't the past leaders since Gen 2 created a new vampire besides their spouse is beyond you! That is why you only ever bother to visit them, to you the only competent leader besides you of course.

Generation Eight:

Aspiration: Academic, Bestselling Author

Traits: Eccentric, Linguist, and Jealous

Career: Writing Career and Royalties

To Do:

Write at least 1 of each emotional book (potions allowed)

Go to university and earn a degree (live on campus until degree is earned)

Marry a sim from the rival university (again turn them), and have a enemies to lover moment

Master Writing, Research and Debate skills

Have 3 or more children

Max out Writing Career, then switch over to freelance writer/or just royalties

Retire in a witchy cottage tucked away in Hendford on Bagley

Story: The Coven is practically ancient by this point and does not need an active leader. You have always wanted to experience college life and so you do. Moving out temporarily you live on campus while your sibling runs the Coven for you promising to return once you finish your degree. Before you return though with your university boyfriend/girlfriend who you used to have a hatred turn to love with, visit the vast fields of Hendford on Bagley. You love the animals and the peacefulness of the place wishing you could just hide away here writing books for all your immortal life.

But you do return to Forgotten Hollow begrudgingly.

Despite your eccentric nature you do make for a good leader. Your Coven loves you even when you constantly hide away in the works of your own writing absent most of your reign. They will miss you when you retire to the woods as you always wanted.

Generation Nine:

Aspiration: Soulmate, Chief of Mischief

Traits: Stone-Hearted, Mysterious, and Feeble

Careed: Freelance Paranormal Investigator

To Do:

Live in a Haunted house once you become a young adult (Remain in Forgotten Hollow)

Marry a ghost then bring them back to life (once alive turn them)

Max out the Medium, Mischief and Gardening Skills

Purchase the Brave reward trait

Never get close to anyone besides ghosts and your child

Have only one child

Retire in a haunted lighthouse in Brindletone Bay (the museum make it a home)

Story: You grew up always watching ghosts move about, but no one really believed you. Which you found ridiculous being vampires and all. You were determined to prove them wrong one day, so you immediately went to work honing your medium connection and intentionally moving into a haunted house. There you managed to make contact with a ghost who you fell in love with, the problem is they're dead… more dead than you. While having a ghost wife/husband is cool and all you crave intimacy so with your gardening skills you managed to concoct a death flower bringing your long dead lover back to life just to curse them with your own form of death, yay!

Just like @sims4lizzyuk version Generation 10 is up to you!

Continue the story! Gen 10 finds renewed passion for the coven and continue to run it

The Wilson Family Chronicles

I feel like writing down my story of my new legacy save in TS4 so I thought I'd write it here.

I created this save with Jean Wilson being the legacy founder. In CAS, I made her the grandmother. She was already an elder when the game started, with an Adult daughter (Andi Wilson), Adult Son-in-Law (Daniel Wilson), a Teen granddaughter (Jude Wilson), A Child grandson (Zach Wilson), and a Toddler grandson (Colt Wilson). The house they moved into at the start was supposed to have been a house that Jean had built for her and her daughter to grow into. Once the game had started, Andi and Daniel had their last child (as a science baby). Her name was Robin Wilson. Gen 1's childhood was pretty normal and uneventful. Colt and Zach joined scouts and made it all the way to Llamacorn scouts. Jude completed her "Friend of the World" aspiration and Robin and Colt eventually aged up to being children. When things begin to get more eventful is when Jude decided she wanted to find someone to love. She decided to go out looking for teens her age and eventually found Cassandra Goth. She went over to Cass' house to rizz her up, and ended up woohoo-ing with her that night. A few weeks later, Cass ended up moving in with Jude which meant that there were 8 sims living in the Wilson household. Eventually Jean passed on, entrusting everything to Andi.

Some more time passed and eventually Zach and Colt moved out. Zach moved to Evergreen Harbor and found love with Karmine Luna, and Colt moved to Brindleton Bay to live out his dream of becoming an animal whisperer. Jude and Cass got married and later welcomed their daughter Kaya into the world (science baby). Once she aged up into a toddler, they had their second child, Jessie (also a science baby). Then, Zach and Karmine had their twins, Donna and Jessie. Finally, Jude and Cass had their final child, Taylor (also a science baby). I believe before Kaya aged up into a teen, Andi and Daniel died meaning there were only 5 sims in the house now. Before Taylor was born, Jude and Cass decided to adopt an Australian Shepherd named Nugget. Kaya was a sweet child and was not a big source of trouble. Apart from wanting to spend her entire child as a pineapple bear, she went largely unnoticed. Jessie was the favorite child for a long period of time, and when Taylor was not commanding attention simply from being a baby, the attention was on them.

Now here is where the drama starts:

When Kaya decided to look for love, she found it in Emily Volkov. Emily, not surprisingly, was a werewolf. Cass was ambivilent about this, but Jude was vehemently against this. She said that if Kaya wanted to be with Emily, she had to forefeit the house. Kaya was ready to move out as soon as she could to be with her true love.

Jessie decided that he would find love in a sim named Charlie Paul. Charlie was a great deal younger than Jessie, but he didn't seem to care. Not even that their younger brother was older than Charlie.

About a week before Kaya was going to move out, a friend of Jude's was over at the house (Dominique Colvin). She was just making friendly conversation when she decided to flirt with Cassandra. Since Jude was right there, she assumed that Cass wouldn't flirt back. But she did!! This put lots of strain on their relationship. It would take a long time to get back to how it was. Because of this, Cassandra decided to call Kaya after she had moved out to let her know her stance on Kaya's girlfriend. Kaya decided to allow Cass to come to her wedding even though none of the Wilsons would be attending.

After Kaya moved out, Jessie for some reason started having an intense mean streak (with no remorse, mind you) to the point where everyone else in the house began to have bad sentiments toward them. Jude and Cass decided that someone who acts like this does not deserve to inherit the house and told Jessie that if they continue to act like this, they will not inherit the house. For now, Taylor is the assumed heir.

Valentines day came around once again and now Taylor is a teenager. They found this kid in their grade named Charlie who is super cute and around their age. They go to their house on Valentines day and ask them on a date. They go to the museum and really hit it off, having a first kiss and everything. A few days later, they decide to make things official. Taylor breaks the news to his family only to find out that this is the same Charlie that Jessie had chosen all those years ago. Jessie is angry, but Taylor argues that Charlie probably wouldn't have even liked Jessie anyway. Jessie tells no one that their new years' resolution was to get into a relationship.

Emily and Kaya get married and Cass attends their wedding. It was a sort of impromptu-type thing after dates got mixed up (I didn't realize that clicking the "plan a wedding event" option meant "have a wedding right now" lol). A week or so later, they have a science baby together named Abigail!

That's where we're up to right now, and I just wanted to share the drama lol

the plan atm is that Taylor will marry Charlie and inherit the house (and will change their last name to Paulson because I think it's better than Wilson) and also that Donna Wilson, the cousin of Kaya and Taylor will continue the Wilson Family line with her children. Kaya decided to name her child Volkov beacuse shes still mad at Jude and I feel like Jessie's mean streak will stay with them into adulthood.

the crazy lore of my caliente and landgraab families

So for some reason, the Caliente and Landgraab families in my game have weird intertwined lives. 

I’ve already talked about Johnny Zest (who you may or may not know is related to the Landgraabs) and his wholesome life with his adoptive daughter in a previous post, but the rest of his family has been up to quite a bit.

First of all, for the record: Geoffrey and Nancy Landgraab along with Katrina Caliente are deceased. They died of old age a while ago long before I conceived the idea of creating a blog to document my sims’ lives, so I haven’t grabbed a lot of funny screenshots of them.

But anyway...

The whole gang lives in this little section of Oasis Springs, aka Bedrock Strait (I only have Johnny Zest’s household as playable since tbh I like them the most. I honestly don’t care for the rest of them lmao). As you can see, everyone but the Zest family likes to show off how big and bougie their homes are.

Malcolm Landgraab (son of Nancy and Geoffrey) is married to Don Lothario (who lived with the Calientes) of all people.

My personal headcanon is that Malcolm got tired of the richy rich snooty super-straight lifestyle that his parents tried to raise him in but didn’t know how exactly to get out of it at first. Don, on the other hand, realized he may be bi-curious though he wasn’t sure how Katrina and her daughters would take that considering they were crazy for him. One thing led to another, and Don started to fall for Malcolm. Once Malcolm reciprocated his feelings, they eloped and moved into their own place together.

Now here’s the crazy part: Don and Malcolm share four children together. Malcolm actually had his two eldest children (Jayme, who is a teenager, and Dusty, who is a child) with KATRINA MOTHERTRUCKING CALIENTE. Presumably, this was before he found himself attracted to Don and it’s probably how he wormed his way into the Caliente family in the first place. Who knows how Malcolm and Katrina broke up, but as I’ve said before, she’s currently dead and out of the picture.  He has two daughters with Don (half-sisters of Jayme and Dusty): Jodi, who is a toddler, and the most recent addition to the family, newborn Alisa.

For two people who have the noncommittal trait, they sure are loyal to each other. I mean, Don was willing to put up with someone sleeping with a woman he was probably attracted to at some point, and then marry that person and raise the children he had with Katrina as his own. That takes... something.

Oh, and, Don is currently an elder, so he’ll probably kick the bucket pretty soon. Well, at least he can spend the remainder of his life with his lovely family. This is basically the whole reason I wanted to make this post so I could have their crazy relationship recorded for the ages, lmao

Now I bet you’re wondering how Katrina’s daughters are faring without Don...

Dina Caliente is married to Gavin Richards (from the Roomies household) of all people. Meanwhile, her sister Nina is still single AND living with them. I’d imagine she’d be, well, less than pleased, lmao. Why she doesn’t just move out, I don’t know. Maybe she thinks she’s prettier than her sister and deserves Gavin more than her.

Dina and Gavin share three sons together. Their genealogies weirded me out at first but it seems like Dina adopted a son named Laurant, who’s now a teenager (he’s the one with mid-length red hair). Gavin, on the other hand, adopted a son named Heath, who’s also a teenager (he’s the one with the short brown hair). I imagine they get along pretty well and are close to the same age, so they’ll always tend to hang out with each other.

Their third son is Gordon, who is an infant. He’s a weird one, because his genealogy shows he’s the biological son of Dina and Gavin. However, when I looked at the genealogies of his brothers, he was shown as either adopted by Gavin (according to Heath’s genealogy) or adopted by Dina (according to Laurant’s genealogy). Even if that seems to be one thing the brothers will fight themselves over, all that matters is their parents have acknowledged their baby brother as their own, and they seem to be very much in love (they had a lot of flirty interactions that seemed to rival another one of my sim couples...)!

Moving on to the Caliente sisters’ other siblings (because Katrina apparently got busy before she died)!!

Tonya Caliente is (I believe) Katrina’s eldest “non-canon” child (if you didn’t catch on already, it’s because I have neighborhood stories turned on for my townies/”other households” so they’re able to have lots of babies). A while ago, when Katrina was still alive and having more and more kids, I decided to move Tonya and a few of her younger siblings out and into their own place (only for Katrina to replace them with more babies). Back when I moved Tonya and her siblings out, she was (I think) either a teenager and they were just children, but now she’s a young adult and they’re all teenagers.

Tonya is the one with the short dark pixie cut, reddish cardigan, and black pants. Her younger siblings (at the moment, I don’t know if she’ll adopt more or anything) are Wendell (the only boy, who’s sitting off to the left), Gem (the blonde with the blue dress), Rylie (the one who for some reason generated with a flipping Victorian dress, no joke), and Elise (the fan of the color blue playing with her phone off to the right). They haven’t done anything too earth-shattering yet; in fact, they’re probably the most normal of the extended Caliente-Landgraab family (I suppose Dina and Nina’s little family could be considered “normal” too, if you ignore Nina still living with her married sister and keep in mind Dina’s healthy romantic relationship with her husband).

As for the rest of the Landgraabs (yes, Geoffrey and Nancy got busy too), it appears that Malcolm’s siblings have inherited their parents’ home. They all live there together.

There’s Russell and Irvin, who are a teen and young adult, respectively. At first, I assumed they were possibly twins considering their shared hairstyle, but knowing their age difference, it isn’t possible, lol. Sure isn’t stopping them from sharing a bedroom, though. When I looked at Irvin’s genealogy, it appeared he fathered a daughter with a random townie woman, Alexandra Weir. However, they actually don’t seem to have any kind of relationship with each other. I can only assume they were one of those people who dated in high school and ended up having a one-night stand which resulted in her getting pregnant and him ditching her because he wasn’t ready to have a kid. Yeah, weird (this post is getting messy on its own so I don’t think I’m going to throw Alexandra in here too. Maybe she’ll get her own post one day...).

Then there’s Gideon and Kailani, who are both young adults. Kailani has quite a few unfortunate traits (she’s gloomy, evil, and has the “sinister” major impression personality - courtesy of the Wonderful Whims mod) though has surprisingly gotten along well with everyone so far.

Gideon, on the other hand, received the notification below as I was literally in the middle of writing this post. It seems like he’s taken after his brother Irvin and had a one-night stand with Cassandra Goth of all people, and now they’ve got an infant daughter. And of course it’s the girl who’s raising their child on their own.

“Ok”. That’s all he can say, lmao.

Lastly, there’s Halle (a young adult), who has also taken the same path as her brothers and had - well, adopted, actually - a little girl of her own named Lila. As you can see, Lila has a very interesting sense of fashion. I actually headcanon Halle (whose originally appearance was generated by default to be the most “hipster” or “LoOk aT mE i’M sPeCiAL aNd NoT LiKe ThE oThEr GiRLs”) to be quite a fangirl of the notorious Willow sisters (my OCs) and wants to emulate them. It’s likely due to the fact that she was the most spoiled of her siblings and is now passing that down to her daughter, whom she also wants to be special and unique (hence her qUiRkY appearance).

Guess I should prepare for the Caliente-Landgraab dynasty to flourish and drag in more people throughout my town...

The Deon-Nakamura family

Henrique Deon: The second year at Valeree was a roller coaster ride for Henrique. It all started well, with a beautiful wedding and the prospect of having his mistress and wife in the same house in different rooms. When Kylie found out about the affair, their relationship got extremely bad. Henrique decided to focus on what matters: making Valeree an amazing place to live and maybe, just maybe, having a family without the high drama. Kylie Deon: Nothing in Kylie's life is the result of what she hoped for herself. Absolutely nothing. She married Henrique in a beautiful spring, where all the guests attended, but the love… ah, that never came. And in addition to never arriving, the respect and admiration that was on her wedding day ran out the door and didn't come back. Kylie found out that her husband and best friend were a couple and her heart was never the same. In a madness of the moment, she decided to pay back in Mila' wedding causing a mess that has repercussions on her own marriage to this day. She thought that the arrival of the heir that Henrique so wanted would change things… it didn't. She thought Begonia's arrival after Akemi's unexpected death would change things… it didn't. Now she found herself in the position of an unhappy wife in an unhappy marriage who would become an unhappy queen and bring into the world a son who would probably be unhappy the second he grew up and realized his father didn't want him. Begonia Nakamura: Begonia's whole life deserves a book that maybe one day, she'll write. Valeree's baby-flower was born in a freezing winter where a blizzard took her father's life before she even met him. All she knows about Yuri are the photos taken by Dulce Morris, the paintings by Mila Burton and the stories they all insisted on telling her. She fondly remembers her childhood on the farm surrounded by animals and in the presence of her mother. Begonia has grown into an independent baby who loves the color brown and in the fall, a rambunctious scamp child in love with pink. She grew up very close to Alexander Hancock and charmed every adult in town. She did watch her mother slowly heal from Yuri's death, and just when she thought that maybe Dalton would become her new father, she watched her mother get killed by a wild bear. Begonia now lives with the Deon, as a result of a promise Kylie Deon made to her mother one day. Despite being grateful, she misses her mother immeasurably and wants to return to the farm as soon as possible. Emmanuel Edwards: Emmanuel never saw his father. In his entire life, he had never had the opportunity to look into his face or be in his arms. In fact, he spends most of his life alone staring at the ceiling of what was once Mila Burton's studio, surrounded by works of art from a future museum in a space that wasn't even planned for his arrival.

The Morris family

TOTAL FEES: $6.106 Gustav Morris: Gustav is extremely disappointed with himself. Another year passed without achieving the goal he had wanted since year one: to build the Valeree National Park, build the museum and build a bigger house for his family. With the end of another year, only one of these goals is really close to being achieved and in his mind, the time has come to really prioritize the new house. With a teenager Alex, the arrival of Felicia, and the birth of Panther, the Hancock' Cabin is really small. He also needs to decide which of the two available job he has decided to found. There are many decisions to be made in the coming year… Dulce Morris: Dulce was the second resident of Valeree to become an adult. All the events of year one made the redhead nourish in her heart the desire to have another baby. But this time, she was going to do it right, like a responsible mother would. As Akemi, her dear friend did. The year saw the disagreements with Kylie Deon be forgiven and forgotten, and now, the redhead is part of Valeree's only women's club, the Tea Club. Alexander Hancock: Alex was a child with very little patience and counting the days to grow up and be able to work with his father in the construction of Valeree. When he finally grew into a happy and active teenager, he realized that construction is not what makes his eyes shine, in fact, he hates his new job as a manual laborer. Alex likes the land, planting, harvesting, taking care of animals… maybe one day he will build a farm for himself, and that way he can finally live off what he loves. Felicia Morris: Felicia had a very different start to life than her brother. The little one was wanted, expected and loved since her first moments in Dulce's belly. If she depends on all the love she receives from everyone in her family, her future will be prosperous.

The Burton-Lewis family

TOTAL FEES: $1.544 Charlie Burton: Charlie has always been a free spirit who never knows what's going to happen in the long run. Destiny is what controls his future and he is very satisfied with that! That's how Dalton quickly convinced the young man to get on the boat on an expedition. Charlie liked life on the high seas a lot, but he liked life on land even better. That would probably be the last expedition for a while, he was already made up about it, when fate decided to intervene once more and guide him to Valeree. His first weeks here were harrowing with no news of his buddy's whereabouts, but everything was overcome by the love he had for Mila Babin. He knew she would become Mila Burton. He wanted this to happen. And he made it happen. Now he is thinking about Henrique Deon's proposal to become Valeree's teacher and teach the new generations everything that can be taught about the world. Mila Burton: Mila was absolutely certain that she was going to die single. Famous for her paintings, beloved by the people of Valeree, but single and childless. Charlie's arrival in town made the young woman realize how much she wanted to change her destiny. Mila saw Alex and Begonia born. She saw the Morris and Nakamura wedding. Mila wanted this! She wanted it so bad… and now she could have it. She became Mrs Burton in an orange autumn, and although she's focused on opening up a painting career for every man and woman in Valeree, she can't wait to become a mother. Dalton Lewis: Valeree was not the place Dalton imagined he would live. In fact, his plan was to finish the expedition, return to Alvorada and retire. He wasn't getting any younger as the days passed and he needed to build a family. He was outraged to know that his buddy would not return to Alvorada, but soon the indignation passed… when he met Akemi Nakamura. Dalton started to admire that heartbroken woman and her daughter so much. He was more than ready to make her a proposal: Let him take care of both of them, and if he was lucky, one day Akemi would fall in love with her new husband. But destiny didn't allow that to happen and now, Dalton doesn't know what to do with his own life. He wants to return to Alvorada, but considers Begonia his daughter and could never leave her behind.

First Row: - The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim; Primarily, I adore the open world and making it all your own. - Fallout 4; Much the same as above, just in a setting I can appreciate more (post-apocalyptic). - Among Us; When I am a crewmate, I am the most suspicious person in the group. When I am the murderer, I am the most innocent of beans. I enjoy the irony, I think is what I am saying. - Red Dead Redemption; Honestly, I haven't played this game in a loooong time, but I remember loving it all. The world and space, hog-tying criminals and leaving them on train tracks... Ah, the good times. - The Red Lantern; It is a game of beautiful puppy dogs and I love it. Puppy deaths are off, because I can't stand the thought of it as is, I don't need to bawl my eyes out over a Nintendo Switch game. Second Row: - Assassins' Creed II; What I felt was missing in the first game was massively improved upon and explored in this one. Not to mention, a very charismatic main cast and a gorgeous setting in Renaissance Italy. - Dungeons & Dragons (Fifth Edition); Whilst you didn't specify video games, I had to put this TTRPG here, simply because it rules my every waking moment. - Dead By Daylight; The community is a love/hate box of mad cats, and the game is a cruel mistress, but I am addicted to it! I love it far too much. Claudette and Zarina are my main survivors, and though I rarely play killer, both Trapper and Pyramid Head are my mains. - Cuphead: Don't Deal With The Devil; This game was tough, and there are still certain bosses I dread to face again, but I love it all the same. The lore is interesting, the style is beautiful and the soundtrack is such a bop. There is a reason I just have 'Don't Mess With King Dice' in my usual youtube playlist. - The Lord Of The Rings: Battle For Middle Earth II; I absolutely love this game, and I am so disappointed that I can't run it on my newer computer. I haven't played it in years, but it was my go to game 5+ years ago. Third Row: - Payday 2; My partner and I play this all the time. It is a game we both love to have, and whilst they are far better at it than I, there have been improvements made on my part. Sokol will forever be my main. - This War Of Mine; The addition of the expansion packs made this game work even better, at least for me. It is a hard game and a depressing one, but it is one I adore. For the life of me, I can't really fathom why, but every time I play it, I am immersed. - Sims 4; I only play this game to build. I have played some of the actual life simulation but it bores me pretty quick. Sims 2 was the only one of the Sims games that kept my interest in the actual gameplay. However, Sims 4 is my favourite for its style and the updating of the build/buy tools. - Infected; If no one has tried or played this TTRPG, I highly recommend it. It is a zombie game, but it is so much fun with a lot of character building options. It fuels my love of the genre so much! Fourth Row: - Team Fortress 2; Whilst I am more of a Mann vs Machine player, I do really enjoy most gamemodes for TF2. I haven't gone into many of the fan made works, though I really want to, simply because I am unfamiliar with how it works. My mains, in order of my frequency playing them, are; Medic, Sniper, Scout and Pyro. - Pokemon Sword; I'll admit, I don't have much to say about this game. I do genuinely enjoy it, but Pokemon games have never really been to my fancy. I love seeing them roam about the wild, though! - Until Dawn; The first game that I saw published by Supermassive Games, and my overall favourite. Yeah, the characters don't really behave all that realistic/aren't really relatable, but the game is fun with some really good jump-scares and storytelling. - Outlast and Outlast Whistleblower; There are a number of games on this list that deserve a viewer discretion warning. This, however, takes the cake. Probably the most violent and horrific of the horror genre on this list, both the main game and its DLC are brilliantly terrifying and with a very in-depth and well-crafted story (in my humble opinion). - Northgard; A game remarkably similar to Battle For Middle Earth II, and yet, with a lot more to it and a very harsh spike to its difficulty. Sometimes I just chill on normal mode, other times I am losing my mind as a blizzard rolls in for Winter. Goat clan all the way! I shall have all of the fluffy bois! Fifth Row: - Detroit: Become Human; This game gets a lot of well warranted critique, and understandably so, but it does not dampen my love for such an interesting concept and a wonderful cast of characters. Connor's storyline is, by far, my favourite, followed by Markus' revolution. - Telltale's The Walking Dead (Seasons 1 and 2); This game hurts me inside. It really does. I do not much appreciate how the story turned in the second season, but the first is fantastic and the second is a worthy, if harsh, follow up. As for the other two seasons and the DLC, I'm afraid I have not played them. - Minecraft; This is a game made for me to waste time. It is both stressful and stress-relieving. It might be childish, but it lets me whittle away the hours I have stewing in my own consciousness. - Telltale's The Wolf Among Us; Holy Hell, I love this game! Good guy Bigby all the way but I adore most everything about it. The style, the main character, the rest of the cast (especially Faith, Grendel and Bloody Mary), and just the story pulls me in, no matter how many times I play it. - Call Of Duty: Black Ops II (Zombies); This one is just fun. I used to play this all the time with a friend and we have been slowly getting back into it and getting better every time. If you want just straight action and a rising difficulty on horde mode, I would highly recommend!
