I think modern au Zhu SHOULD be the lesbian best friend trope to Ouyang except that its because this man is her pet project and gODDDAMIT she's gonna FIX him she's gonna MAKE him be BETTER she's going to SOLVE EVERYTHING and he will RESPECT HER (she is actively making him worse). She has a whole complex about it and everything. She has based a part of her identity on dragging this man up from his toxic funk and is fully convinced that if she tries hard enough he will eventually come to his senses and be an equal participant in this relationship. They have a terrible wonderful toxic loving codependent relationship that's neither a romance nor a friendship nor a rivalry but a secret fourth thing.

Predictably, this does not go well. The character arcs would be Zhu learning she can't fix a sinking ship and letting Ouyang fail by himself, and Ouyang learning to not be a shit person, actually, and coming out of his bubble of self-centeredness and working on himself instead of unloading his emotional labor onto the people around him. And they should both get to develop a healthier relationship with each other than what they had in canon bc queer solidarity is great and its even better when it's in the shape of some weird bullshit some gay people built out of the corpse parts of heteronormative romance (affectionate and completely unironic)

The management at my old apartment stole my fucking bike

#apparently theyve been mass 'confiscating' bikes off peoples porches without telling anyone that theyre taking them #i dont know how long mine has been gone bc i didnt notice it was missing until i went to load it into my car to move it #but if its been more than (i think) 30 days then it would be considered forfeit and they would have already sold/claimed/trashed it by now #my gf and i saw a whole pile of 20+ confiscated bikes near the maintenance building but it doesnt look like mine was in it #i called them today to ask about it and they told me that for them to look for it i would need to provide a photo to prove its mine??#its MY bike! you stole it off my porch. how tf was i supposed to know that i needed to take a picture of it beforehand #they told us we can go check out the pile so me and my gf are gonna go look more thoroughly now that we're officially allowed #but if its IN the maintenance building we wont be able to find it #and if they already sold it or took it home with them or threw it away then it also wont be there #and i cant even ask them to confirm when they took it / if its already gone #bc it looks like theyve been doing this with dozens of bikes over the past few months so how would they even remember one specific one #what the fuck #rambling #also to be clear: they arent being confiscated BECAUSE theyre on the porches #the bikes are supposed to be under the stairwell and thats where mine was #my neighbors who leave their kids bikes piled on their side in the yard got to keep theirs #theyve been doing unscheduled porch painting without any sort of warning or notice on and off since like december tho #so my only guess is that they decided since they werent giving us any notice to move our stuff off the porch ahead of time #they decided to just move straight into confiscating everything off of the porches and hoping no one would call them out on it #which is fucking bullshit

#yet again i fail to convince my counselor i have executive function problems. mostly its bc i dont think well in the moment but also i just #feel kinda weird rn so i was having trouble making my thoughts connect. but i swear to christ i do have problems making my executives #function. i think the issue is im a grad student so i do well in school. not that it matters bc i kno loads of grad students with pretty #god awful adhd. one of my former lab mates was like. Adderall barely made her normal. and yet she was still a phd student #so like. its possible to have executive function issues as a grad student. the problem with me is the obsessive thoughts and self #destructive behavior so to her it sounds like im telling myself that i cant get my brain to work unless i put myself under extreme pressure #rather than i cant get my brain to work so to cope im putting myself under extreme pressure bc if i dont nothing gets done #but like fucking if i try to relax i dont do things. i cant clean my kitchen or my room or take out the trash or do my laundry #and im not like not doing it bc i dont wanna. these things r causing me active distress but i cant flip the switch that makes them happen #ive gotta write a grant proposal. read a paper. and find a paper to discuss by tomorrow morning. i had time to do all of this before but i #didnt do it. y didnt i do it? fucking i dont kno. ugh. whatever. i got refered to a psychiatrist so well see what happens there #i did accidentally set the meeting to when i meet with my advisor tho. oops. also my counselor said it sounds like im a rat running on a #wheel. which is accurate but also a really fucking funny thing to have said abt u. ur r a scrawny neglected lil rat. boohoo.#idk what type of medication she thinks i should b on. like what symptom r we trying to exhaust? the 0cd or the mood issues?#i dont even kno what the issue is. not that i guess it matters. idk. i need to read and write. fucking hell #unrelated

got my license today yayy tho i feel p empty inside and not v celebratory abt it ngl. im sure ill feel yay yippie happy in a bit tho i mean insane to think my practicing driving saga is over! tho im gonna have to pick up my sister later so i think once after that ill be able to rly chill. im gonna have a celebratory coke in a bit ^_^

#barely passed made 12 mistakes w/ 15 being the max u can make...#mainly for driving over the speed limit and he said i crossed the white line on stop signs but im not too sure abt that lol #regardless the guy was much nicer and super chill than the guy i got last time so im def grateful 100% yay :D #mainly a bit annoyed cause i ended up having to go w/ my dad and he always comments on my driving even tho #he says its normal like he'll give me orders on what to do n stuff and then #wheen i got home i tried parking inbetween two trash cans and a car and was struggling a bit #and he just grabbed the wheel from my hand and told me to control the gas and brakes which was annoying #especially since parallel parking is smthn ive told him b4 i need to practice so kinda like hypocritical for him #to tell me i need to practice than to just grab the wheel when im trying to practice lol
