Okay, but a GTA!AU where Burnie and Ashley just meet under the most random of circumstances? Like, nothing to do with their crews or anything, they just happen to be taking the same aquarium tour one day, or they stop to rest on the same bench while jogging in the park. And they start talking, which leads to flirting, which leads to exchanging numbers and texting all the damn time (even during crew meetings, which annoys Gus and Joel to no end. Matt and Geoff just think it’s adorable). And they’re always planning dates, but of fucking course work keeps forcing them to cancel.

And then finally the stars align, and they’re able to go on a first date. Which is going really, really well until both of their phones start buzzing in the middle of dinner. And Burnie just immediately deflates because Matt is telling him that something big is happening tonight; big enough that Gus is calling in friends that no one even knew he had. He apologizes to Ashley, tells her that something came up at work, and she replies with “yeah, same here”. And neither of them say it, but he knows they’re both thinking that maybe this wasn’t meant to work out after all.

Matt has to pull him aside later, because his mind kept wandering during the briefing, and he even asks if Burnie wants to sit this one out. And while he appreciates the offer, he knows it’s Matt’s way of saying he thinks Burnie is too distracted to do his job, and besides, it’s not like he can just go back to his date. So he tells Matt not to worry about it, that it’s nothing, and they should really get going if they want to meet their contacts.

And his jaw practically hits the floor when Ashley is waiting for them in a parking garage with two other girls that she introduces as Dollface and Blawndee. She doesn’t seem shocked to see him in the slightest, and he starts to realize that he might be the only one that didn’t know he was dating the infamous Jinx.

And later, much, much later, after they’ve saved each others’ asses once or twice and the sun is starting to rise over Chilead, he asks if she’d like to continue their date where they left off. She answers by stretching up on her tiptoes to kiss him. He can hear his idiot colleagues whistling and cat-calling from a few feet away, but he chooses to ignore them.

They go back to his place, where they eventually fall asleep watching Netflix on his couch. And for all the trouble that his last first date was worth, he wouldn’t trade it for the world.

You’re right. I can definitely hear that. It also makes me think immortal FAHC shenanigans. It’s honestly probably Gavin’s knife, which ended up in Jeremy’s stomach entirely by accident. He was just trying to learn how to throw knives like Ryan, and he was starting to figure out how to put a proper spin on it and have the blade actually hit his target. The only problem is his aim. And it wasn’t his fault that Jeremy decided to stand so close to the box he was using as a target.

When the short blade goes into Jeremy’s stomach and the blood starts to darken his bright orange shirt, Gavin freezes. Jeremy just looks down, and then back up at Gavin, surprised and faintly annoyed, also almost a little pitiful. And Gavin oh so hesitantly asks for the knife back, cause he’d like to keep practicing please, Jeremy, and sorry for hitting you, he meant to hit the box... And without even a pause, crossing his arms above the protruding knife, would come Jeremy’s “No. You buried your knife in my stomach, which means it’s mine now.”

Gavin would only get the knife back with enough pleading and apologies and promises not to stab anyone else (a promise he breaks within two hours - though this time it wasn’t Jeremy).

Had an idea for a fic where Ashley was an Amur Leopard Hybrid who had a pretty transient life growing up due to the threat of poachers. She was finally finding a steady life a RT when she becomes paranoid there are poachers around, after Chinchilla Lil' J. Everyone thinks she's just seeing things (maybe Leopards are stereotyped as unreliable and jittery) until poachers really do come after her and lil' J and everyone else has to rescue them/burn the poachers warehouse to the ground.

NICE!!!! I never write Ashely, which is a shame as she is quite lovely. but yall know how much i love rescue type fics. and this is so cute, i fully support.

I'm hoping to have all of these posted for early access during February. My last exam is on the 11th, so I can't guarantee anything until then, but this is what I have in store for you.

Rifts in Time: Mistress of the Universe (currently $3 tier): Disney's Descendants time travel, Mal-centric story, bamf!Mal

Once these are up and running, I'll be working on my first multi-chapter of the year. Which brings me to the next point...

Voting Results

The Replacement won the race of which multi-chapter that will be, so that's what I'm going to work on first! I'm about 1.5 chapters into the story, so I'm hoping to post the first one come March.

The general interest checks resulted in my To Write list for the rest of the year, in addition to these three multi-chaptered fics and my original novel. Since there's a tie between the Ramwood Marriage and Eternal Eclipse, I will put them back up to vote when Replacement is finished, together with the two clear winners of the other poll, the Jeremwood Dragon AU and the Mavinwood Hybrid AU.

Other stories that got enough interest to be pushed up the priority list include:

Multi-chapters: No Good In Goodbye (Freewood fahc), Burned Ashes (Burnie/Ashley fahc), Turnfreewood Kings

One-shots: Werebear!Michael (Mavin fahc), Doppelgänger (Trevredo fahc), Freewood Robbery

Jeremichael Knight AU is also on this list, but I'm as yet unsure if it'll be just a long one-shot or a multi-chaptered story.

Misfits and CEOmegaverse clearly won this race. I'm going to try and write two installments for each of these series and put them up as options on polls for shorter in-between stories.

As you can imagine seeing this long a list, I'm not going to be able to work through all of these ideas in 2019, especially not with my original novel as a side-project. However, I'll try and get as many as I can of them done and post regular votes so you can decide which I should focus on first.

Novel

My goals for the original novel is to have at the very least the first draft done this year, if not the second revision. I'm currently participating in a workshop by Lynsey G of Oneshi Press on the planning and preparation for publishing, and it's an incredible help. I will share more with you as soon as I have a little breathing room to write up my experience so far.
