The Nations of the Basin: Part 2

Part 1 Below the cut is a brief introduction to two more of the major nations in my D&D campaign. Tomorrow I'll start introducing the minor nations.

The Lizardfolk

Lying in the deserts of the Basin, no one is exactly sure when the lizardfolk appeared or where they came from, though they claim to have been formed from the sand itself by their four dragon-gods; Ekhez, Talroz, Olkan, and Kheilki. For as long as the lizardfolk have been around, they have ambushed caravans that enter the desert and harassed the Empire as it encroached on their territory. But there is yet another group of lizardfolk, as swimming throughout the rivers of the Basin are the crocodile-folk, followers of their goddess Sthonis.

Population: ~240k. Lizardfolk, Dragonblessed

Faiths: Draconic Pantheon

Languages: Common, Draconic

The lizardfolk are quite meritocratic, one’s worth is determined how well one can support themselves and those they hold close. But some lizardfolk have the advantage of being blessed by their dragon-gods, and these long-lived dragonblessed take leading roles in their clan and provide some measure of continuity for the oft-short-lived lizardfolk. Each clan of lizardfolk has a slightly different culture: the crystal lizardfolk are wise and diplomatic, the bronze lizardfolk militaristic and honorable, the brass lizardfolk sociable and egalitarian, the gold lizardfolk secretive and devout, and the turquoise crocodile-folk individualistic and temperamental.

The Human Tribes

Entering the Basin in significant numbers a bit over a century ago, the twelve human tribes are each descended from a great individual and their followers who took part in a failed rebellion among their homeland to the southeast. The tribes have quickly adapted to life in the Basin, creating permanent settlements in the highlands of the southeast, and otherwise living a nomadic lifestyle. Six of the twelve tribes are the Athir, Bakar, Erdemir, Farida, Kamil, and Zuhr.

Population: ~350k. Human

Faiths: Ancestor Worship

Languages: Common, Human

Each of the tribes is divided further into clans, which are composed of about a dozen families. These clans are the main unit that humans travel in. A tribal meeting between all the clans in a tribe might occur once every five years, or if some event requires an emergency meeting. Every 20 years, a Grand Council is convened between all tribes, with the vast majority of the nomadic human population in attendance. Lingering inter-tribal conflicts are often brought to the forefront during the Council. However, a custom of ritualized dueling keeps most conflicts contained, with little risk of significant escalation to full blown war.

Dinar Candy Disebut Plakor Saat Video Call Dengan  Arfandi Suami Orang.

Berita buruk mencapai Disjoki Dinar Candy. Dia dikabarkan menjalanihubungan dengan Arfandi, juga dikenal sebagai Ko Apex, seorang pria yang sudah menikah.

Masalah ini dihasilkan dari akun seorang wanita yang diposting Lambe Danu di situs gosipnya.

Wanita itu, yang mengidentifikasi dirinya sebagai istri sah Ko Apex, mengakui memiliki hubungan dengan Dinar Candy. Namun, posting akun gosip telah dihapus.

Hubungan terlarang ini diduga bermula saat Ko Apex memberikan saweran pada Dinar Candy.

Dari satu momen tersebut berlanjut pada momen lainnya hingga berani menyawer via online saat Dinar Candy live di Tiktok.

Sebuah obrolan yang diduga dari istri Ko Apex, yang menegaskan bahwa dia telah mengajukan petisi perceraian untuk suaminya, juga dimasukkan dalam pos tersebut.

Ko Apex hanya memohon kepada istrinya untuk tidak bercerai setelah gugatan diajukan. Di bahwa dia hanya sebatas nafsu adalah satu-satunya alasan dia bertindak dengan Dinar Candy.

Istri Ko Apex juga mengakui mengirim pesan Instagram kepada Dinar Candy. Ko Apex tidak berada di level Dinar Candy, tapi dia mengelak dan mengakuinya.

Selain itu, istri Ko Apex mengakui bahwa Dinar Candy sering melihat suaminya saat dia menonton langsung Tiktok.

Posting ini akibatnya menarik perhatian publik juga.Selain itu warganet juga menyoroti ucapan Dinar Candy yang sempat mengaku bila dirinya tidak bisa ditawar hingga mengaku tak doyan suami orang.

Pasalnya dengan beredar video ini ia justru seolah menjilat ludah sendiri.

Zamfara Community Releases Names Of 85 Children, Women, Others Abducted By Terrorists

SaharaReproters had reported how the terrorists kidnapped at least 80 children on Friday morning during a fresh operation in the Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State. The Wanzamai community in Zamfara State's Tsafe Local Government Area has compiled a list of the 85 people kidnapped by suspected terrorists on Friday. Although the victims' ages were not specified, it was learnt that they included women and children. SaharaReproters had reported how the terrorists kidnapped at least 80 children on Friday morning during a fresh operation in the Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State. This was confirmed to BBC Hausa by the parents of the victims who revealed that the children were between the ages of 12 and 17. They added that the victims were in the bush fetching firewood at about 8:00 a.m. when the terrorists rounded them up and marched them away into the forest. A parent who said her 15-year-old son was abducted spoke to the BBC Hausa service about the attack and expressed concern about the children in captivity. “We are worried because we don’t know the condition of our children in captivity,” she said. Internationaal stelt ze weinig voor momenteel: in 2021-2022 nam ze deel aan in totaal 5 ECups, maar zonder zichtbaar resultaat; nam vorig jaar wél deel aan het EK u18/-52kg en werd er 7° na 2 overwiningen; ze verliest daar tegen Florina Badiceanu (°04; Rou; 3°EK’21 u18/-52kg) en verliest tegen Inez Bognar (°05; Hun; 5°EK’21 u18/-52kg &  2°EK’22 u18/-57kg);  in mei dit jaar won Lola het tornooi van La Roche-sur-Yon (Fra, label “Excellence u21”).

   Ray Marinx (°04; /-66kg; no JRL; JC Koksijde): 5° (4 own)   op het VK dit jaar werd de finale u21/-66kg beslecht tussen Robbe Demets (laatste-jaars) en Ray (eerste-jaars)/ Robbe won op shido (00s2/00s3); op het BK moest Ray forfait geven;  Internationaal vocht hij in de periode [2019-2021] in totaal 9 ECups, wat in tijden van corona, best wel veel was: balans: 2x 5° en 2x 7°; ook Ray stond op het EK u18/-66kg in 2021, maar sneuvelde onmiddellijk in zijn 1ste kamp; Als junior vocht hij dit jaar op 3 ECups: Lignano (9°; 1 own), Nanterre (9°; 2 own), Malaga (out; 0 own).

Het voordeel van een EYOF is dat je als 1ste-jaars junior, hier vecht als ‘laatste-jaars’, ttz. niemand is ouder. Ray bereikt de 1/4-fin in poule-D : hij wint in 1/16-fin van Jan Moravik (°04; Cze), na 2′24″min (02s0/00s2); Moravik géén top-8, over in totaal 4 ECups; in 1/8-fin wint Ray van Samuel Hager (°05; Svk): waza-ari na 1′57″min GS (01s1/00s2); Hager vocht op 5 ECups u18, en werd 2x 7° in 2022 (Lignano & Strasbourg); van geen betekenis op de 2 EKs u18 waaraan hij deelnam (2021-2022); in 1/4-fin verliest Ray (ippon) na 2′30″min van Eltaj Yusifli (°04; Aze): 2 ECups vocht de Azeri: 5° Teplice’21 u18/-60kg & 13° (1 own) Poznan’22 u21/-66kg; Yusifli wordt hier 5°; in repechage wint Ray ook 2 kampen: eerst tegen Ciro De Luca (°04; Ita; 2°NK’22 u21; 3° Porec’21 u18): hij komt 2 shido’s achter, maar wint uiteindelijk met w-a na 33″sec GS; daarna wint Ray tegen Krystian Liwocha (°04; Ger; 5° Teplice’21 u18), dit jaar geen top-8 u21/-66kg in Poznan, Malaga, Graz;  >> video : een gelijkopgaande kamp tussen gelijkwaardige judoka’s met aanvallend judo; de eerste shido (tegen Liwocha) valt pas na 1’13″min GS, en pas daarna wordt Ray meer duidelijk de meest aanvallende, meest frisse judoka; Ray wint tenslotte op shido na 6′53″min wedstrijd (00s0/00s3). 

Voor brons een wedstrijd tegen Tornike Mosiashvili (°04; Geo; in 2021 u18/-60kg: 3° Porec & 7° EK). >> video : 2 heupworpen en de medaille-droom van Ray was voorbij: na 9″sec tsuri-goshi van de Georgiër en waza-ari; en een uki-goshi, gevolgd door een zweem van uchi-mata, maakten het af na 1′26″min.   

  Azerbaijan won dit EYOF voor landenteams; Mark vd Ham mag weeral een (goedbetaald) lintje opspelden ;-)
