Voldemort was furious, as expected. Crashing, screaming, and throwing didn’t lessen his fury.

Your mother and father stood in the back of the room, with both their heads down. Maxwell left in a fit of rage, and though Bellatrix had sent Theo out after him, it was a lost cause.

Blaise was still out cold, and Mattheo had been instructed to watch over him while his father dealt with Grayson, Draco, and Cordelia.

Lucius tried to step in, but his wife had stopped him before he opened his mouth.

After the foul words and all the wrath had been taken out on the young Slytherins, they were all sent away.

Voldemort collected his most trusted advisors — Snape, your parents, Auntie Bella, The Malfoys, and Fenrir Greyback — to figure out a way to get their most perfect prodigy back.

THE BURROW

“I knew this was a bad idea,” Molly Weasley cried, watched as your head lolled over to your other shoulder, your eyes still sealed shut.

The charm was wearing off, and soon you’d be waking up to see the entire Order of The Phoenix standing above your helpless body. 

Still dressed in your ball gown and emeralds, you slowly started to stir awake.

“Oh Godric, poor thing will be so scared, it’s not her fault that her parents dragged her into this…” Molly stressed, smoothing down the flyaway hairs on your forehead.

“Mum, she’s the enemy!” George scoffed.

“Think about it this way, she wants Harry, Hermione, and Ron dead.” Fred noted, Molly dabbing a tear from the corner of her eye.

Your eyes snapped open at the mention of the Golden Trio’s names, and when you opened your mouth to scream, no sound came out.

The fuckers used Silencio on you.

Since you couldn’t produce any noise, all you could do was glare daggers at the group of men and one woman standing around you.

“Is she awake yet?” A cheery voice called. Tonks walked into the room, and her eyes widened at the sight of her distanced cousin strapped to a chair.

“Wow…” she muttered, slowly walking closer to you.

You struggled against the restraints, but kept your eyebrows narrowed as she held eye contact with you.

“Didn’t we do an excellent job, Tonks?” Fred asked, George nodding in approval.

Tonks didn’t answer. She lowered herself to your level to look you straight in the eye.

“Hey, Y/N/N. Long time no see.” She slightly smiled.

You kept the scowl and sour look on your face despite the welcoming greeting from your distant cousin. It could all be a facade.

Tonks wasn’t a good woman. Your family made sure you knew that. Her mother pranced around with mud-bloods, and she was an auror! The most despicable and desperate career you could aim for…. It was absolutely shameful to the Black family.

After a little more taunting from the twins, you finally regained most of your conscious and were able to make out the faces crowding around you.

The twins, obviously, a chubby woman with red hair, most likely their mother, Professor Lupin, a man you were supposed to trust, some other man with darker skin who seemed to be older, and then your cousin.

You wanted to cry.

You were so helpless, and unless Voldemort came get you now, you didn’t even want to imagine what these people planned to do with you.

Torture? Or even worse? The thought made you shiver.

You wanted to scream at them, use all the painful spells your father and aunt had taught you. Everything you had been prepared with. Just in case this were to ever happen.

It wasn’t really a secret that you had been lusted over before. Most men dropped at your feet. Even for seventeen, you were like a doll carved from porcelain who was the most perfect being anyone had ever seen.

It also wasn’t a secret that Fred Weasley had thirsted over you since his sixth year at Hogwarts.

Only this time, he was planning to do something about it.

YOUR HOME — THE BLACK ESTATE

Voldemort had sent everyone home after his impromptu meeting, needing some rest himself.

Your mother cried once she walked through the large and beautiful doors of your home, and your brother threw his wand at the closest wall.

Jozzy, your house elf, quickly rushed to your distraught mother, and helped her stand up.

“Get away!” Your mother screamed, Jozzy slinking away, terrified, into the lingering darkness.

They had just had the worst night of their lives; their eldest and most perfect daughter gone.

Voldemort wasn’t willing to attack to get you back just yet, he wanted to wait to see what they wanted from you.

Your father and Aunt Bellatrix were beside themselves, and tried to reason with him, but he wouldn’t budge.

Nobody knew what to do with themselves; it was like a game of cat and mouse. They were forced to wait.

But Grayson wasn’t willing to sit around and wait to hear that his sister was dead.

So, he went and got Mattheo, Theo, Draco, Blaise, and Cordelia.

And if Voldemort had a problem, then he would just have to deal with it.

I feel like i don't need to explain it but the Schroedinger family is named after Erwin Schrödinger

Shady specifically is of course a reference to the "Schrödinger's cat" paradox, a kind of thought experiment/metaphor for illustrating the more conventionally nonsensical seeming qualities of quantum physics. Shady is just literally a cat who was in a box, and also has some dualistic qualities like his use of both fire and ice magic.

And Maya is of course even in-world a throwback to Calamity Jane Maxwell from the first game, having applied her ability to materialize information she reads in books to the adventure novel "Disaster Girl of the Wasteland" she both she and Virginia are fans of --incidentally the Japanese [荒野の災厄娘] would be more readily translated as "(The) Wasteland's Calamity Daughter"/"Calamity Girl of the Wasteland" so it was likely meant to be a much more direct reference to Calamity Jane. (Virginia herself of course also bears the Maxwell family name and may well be a distant descendent of Jane's if the two games' Filgaias are in fact part of one contiguous history.)

Todd Dukakis is a sort of throwback to both McDullen/Magdalen Harts as well as Jack Vanburance from the original Wild Arms. He's Maya's butler like McDullen was to Jane, but also uses Jack's attacks --Psycho Crack, Meteor Drive, Divide Shot & Heal Blade/Factor-- as well as Black Fenrir, harkening back to the Fenril[sic] Knights.

No idea about Alfred, actually... He's a kid with bombs who is shown to be good with tech, so I guess sort of a parallel to Rudy? It's actually really weird that he's got a much less distinctive gimmick when all the others are very strongly designed around their thing.

Their team attack "Wild Bunch" is a reference to either the 1969 Sam Peckinpah film, The Wild Bunch, or the real world wild west gang led by Butch Cassidy.

Werewolf Lore for Max:

The legend of the Werewolf has been passed around for many years, but unlike many myths, this particular legend has no clear beginning. Differing legends have cropped up in different areas of the world, and in each telling the cause of the sickness changes. Perhaps the oldest of these legends is the story passed down in Norse mythology. In this tale, a father and son (Sigmund and Sinfjotli ) find a pair of enchanted wolf pelts that, when worn turn the wearer into a wolf with all the cunning of the animal and all the intelligence of man for ten days. On the tenth day, the pelt may be removed and the curse or spell lifted.

According to the legends, the father and son made an agreement to howl for one another if they found seven men to attack at once. The son broke this promise, killing eleven men on his own and angering his father enough that the elder left his son with a fatal wound. The son survived thanks to intervention from Odin, who sent one of his ravens with a healing feather to be placed over the sons wound. Once the boy was healed, the pair removed the pelts on the tenth day and burned them, thus freeing themselves from the curse.

In reality, things were much different. The enchanted pelts were real, as were the father and son, but the legend differs greatly from that point forward. The pelts themselves were created by the trickster god Loki who took fur from the dread wolf Fenrir and wove it into two pelts, one each for the beasts children, Skoll and Hati. These he left for man to find, a grand prank crafted with hidden secrets.

Once removed and burned, the father and son who found them were indeed freed from the curse of transformation, but it lingered within their blood as a sleeping sickness, to be passed on to any children they might bare. The father was too old to have any other children, but his son fathered many and in them the sickness took root, and on the first Full Moon of their third year, each child took the form of the wolf. The return of the curse frightened Sinfjotli, and he murdered nine of his children and cast the others into the wild in the hopes that they would never return.

Those children that survived thrived however and from them all Werewolves began. Some went mad with the change, and through their bite they changed others. These wolves differed from their sires, and were often more violent and bloodthirsty, seeking out humans to feast upon as prey whenever the change took them, as they themselves had been preyed upon.

As the years passed, both groups began to spread out across the globe. Those descended from Sinfjotli and those changed through violence developed much differently, leading to the many differing legends that are spoken of today.

Sinfjotli's kin are more in tune with their wolf, and continue to have their first change in their third year. Unlike their infected cousins, they can switch forms whenever they choose outside of the Full moon with only two exceptions. On the Full moon itself they will always change, and on the day of the New moon they cannot change at all. Those infected through the bite or scratch of another can only change on the Full moon, and many are gripped by the violent rage that many believe affects all of their kind.

Maxwell, through his father's line, is of Sinfjotli's ilk although he did not know it until much later. However, he was also attacked by a supposed 'wild dog' when he was just a toddler, only to go missing a few days later when the one who attacked him came back as a human. He spent two years with the pack, who told him his family would not want him now that he was cursed. He was eventually reunited with them after Aden was assigned to investigate a spate of vicious maulings. He would not discover his ability to transform at will until he was nearly 13 years old.

Pedro Characters as Norse Deities

Note: so I really wanted to do this, and this is the epitome of self-indulgent cause I love Norse mythology and I love The Boys so have this lmao. This will include gods, goddesses, and other such beings, just FYI.

Agent Whiskey:

Tyr. God of justice and victory. Lost his right hand in the jaws of the wolf Fenrir because he gave his word that if the wolf was not unbound, he would sacrifice his hand. Also considered a god of war, finding victory and justice within the violence. Pursues recompense even at the expense of himself.

Javier Peña:

Mani. He’s the one who guides the moon across the sky each night. Not much is known about him, other than he is constantly chased across the sky by a fearsome wolf. Also known as a protector of abused children, and took one under his protection to help him manage the moon’s phases.

Din Djarin:

Frigg/Frigga. Though her roles in the mythology is relatively sparse compared to others, she is considered one of the most powerful seeresses and magic-practioners in the mythos. However, though she knows the fate of all living beings, she does not say them. Also intensely protective over her son, Baldr.

Catfish/Frankie Morales:

Baldr. God of light, one of the most prominent in the early days of the myths. He had terrible nightmares prophesizing his death, so his mother went and had everything in the world swear to not harm him. He then spent an inordinate amount of time having his buddies hurl objects and weapons at him to prove his immortality. (Except mistletoe. We don’t talk about the mistletoe.)

Ezra:

Odin. The god of many names and a god of many things, one who can and has gone to extreme lengths in the name of gathering knowledge. Well-versed in dubious morality, and overall a wanderer. He never stays in one place for too long, and is constantly in pursuit of learning something new.

Oberyn Martell:

Freyja. The goddess of love and war, who’s known for her sexual appetites and the fact that she gets half of the dead slain in battle. Her power and abilities are pretty much on par with that of Odin, and she’s known for her fiery temper and mastery of magic just as much as she’s known for her sexual prowess.

Maxwell Lord:

Skadi. A giant who showed up at the gods’ door one day, demanding recompense for the death of her father. Threatened to wreck their WHOLE shop if she didn’t get what she wanted, which included the gods finding a way to make her laugh. Not an easy thing to do, but One Loki + One Goat later and they finally managed somehow.

Max Phillips:

Loki. Listen, Loki Fucks(tm) And is the epitome of “chaotic little bastard”. You name it, Loki’s probably done it. He’s stolen shit and broken shit. He’s the one who showed up at a party just to call everyone a slut and then left. Big talk from the deity who can, has, and will bed down just about anyone.

Marcus Pike:

Freyr. A fertility and harvest god. He gave up his most powerful weapon in exchange for the hand in marriage of a woman. He was so enamored with her that he’d do anything to make her his. However, don’t underestimate his battle prowess. He’s a fierce fighter on the battlefield as well.

Pero Tovar:

Thor. God of the storm and the harvest and the common man. Best known for defending the gods and humans from giants and other enemies, as well as his short fuse and temper. Not above resorting to tricks to gain an advantage over his enemies, though he usually prefers a straightforward approach.

It was a brutal first round; spectators cheering and shouting at the contestants. Bets were placed and kochba was both won and lost. Some of those that others assumed would win, had conceded, while others chose to take their fight into their own hands.

A loud voice echoed throughout the Slaughter Ring:

Congratulations to those that have one their first match’s. Before we continue onto the next round, I’d like to pay some respects to those that have chosen to give their life to the ring: 

Corvina Alkera; a Demon of Wrath who’s life was taken by the hands of Demitri, a Vizier of the Vampire’s. How tragic, yet exhilarating, it was to watch her demise. She died for such a great cause... For our own entertainment.

Now... is everyone ready for Round Two? I know I am.

Champions can thread their fights, discuss in your pairs results or if you want that randomised too, please let us know, we’ll dice roll success/fails on hits/punches or whatever your pairing lead to! You can thread them talking to others in between the fights, or while they are waiting for their’s to start. 

Everyone who would like to can still spectate! Or, if you’d like your characters to leave and go somewhere else, that’s fine as well. It is not mandatory that everyone attends SRS as a whole, or even the whole time. 

If you all have any questions, please let us know! Also, please keep us updated on who wins each fight so we can know for the next round :)

Favourite thing to put in your sippy? 

I like to put watered down apple juice in my sippy cup or watered down mango and passionfruit juice. They’re both tasty!

What music do you listen to in little space? 

um I do actually have a spotify playlist called “Lotsa Disney”…..it’s got pretty much all the disney songs I could find on there. One of my favourite ever littlespace songs is “Return to Pooh Corner.” Also “Just can’t wait to be King!” :-D (And a lot a lot of other songs…all of the Moana soundtrack.)

What do you want for your birthday?

I really really want a big set of watercolour pencils and more colouring books! I love colouring. And I adore watercolour pencils, they’re my favourite thing because I’m not very artistically talented but you can blend and make things look really fancy with the level of next to no skill that I have. Also colouring is very soothing. 

Who are your top three favourite stuffies?

I can’t possibly answer this. Leaba is my very favourite of course but only because I’ve had him since I was chronologically tiny. And after him I love them all equally. I don’t have that many anyway just Sarah and Maxwell and Bob and Eliot and Fenrir and Claire and Stephen and Arthur and Stella and Humphrey.

Frozen Teardrop Volume Four Author’s Notes Translation

This time Sumisawa talks about Relena and Father Maxwells (Duo) voice actors and how they inspired the characters, Frozen Teardrop inspired cocktails, as well as misinformation on fan sites. Translation under the read more:

I’m not in a position to call myself a “writer”, but I’ve been able to spread a surprising number of misunderstandings and falsehoods. As for funny jokes, the editor told me about this year’s April Fools Day article on an American site called “Manga Market” saying that “New Mobile Suit Gundam Wing will be made into a live-action movie in Hollywood!” where I am answering the interview. What’s more, in fluent English! Using words I’ve never seen or heard before!

It’s an honor to be treated as such a story, but on the contrary, the Wikipedia entry for “New Mobile Report Gundam Wing”, says, “Sumisawa said, ‘anime otaku and magazine editors can’t keep up with the script (scenario)’”. 

I would like to raise an objection to the article saying who it was aimed at.

What’s more, it even comes with a source (it says it’s from the setting record collection, Part II, which is no longer available!), so from now on, won’t it be misunderstood as a fact for eternity? That remark was spoken by director Masashi Ikeda and directed at me. “Aim for that kind of script” It wasn’t something I said.

Moreover, at the beginning of that sentence, there was the words “not to mention general viewers”. I get the sense that this was a deliberate deletion and change to make Sumisawa the enemy of those people. In that case, you may say that I should submit a change notification, but it is impossible for me, who is not familiar with computers, to ask. Asking the editor is rude and uncool and I wonder if someone would notice it and edit it off, (I don’t say such things) and I spend my days gritting my teeth and being filled with tears.

When I started writing this novel, Mr. Torii, the helmsmen of VOYAGE, made an original cocktail called “Frozen Teardrop.” To introduce a little recipe, we mixed crushed ice and absolute currant vodka with a beautiful light blue grapefruit liqueur called “Hypnotic” as a base, blend it in a mixer and freeze it. A red cherry floats in it resembling Mars. The distribution is very difficult, but the point is that there are two small teardrop-shaped cubes inside. This represents Phobos and Deimos.

By the way, cherries can be green and blue so Mars has finished terraforming. This is the most delicious cocktail. It’s slightly sweet as if you’re dreaming, kindness and coldness coexist in the sourness like the sorrow of first love. Even women who don’t drink alcohol on a daily basis can enjoy it. However, if you drink two cups, you will become sleepy. Hypnotic means “hypnosis” in the French language, and you may end up in a cold sleep like Heero or Relena.

Mr. Torii also made “Snow White” based on apple liqueur. Mr. Torii, who is such a master, is now enjoying touring in Hokkaido and Tohoku on a large motorcycle. He’s like Father Maxwell. I don’t know if he’ll be back by Christmas, but VOYAGE has an even more talented captain and owner, Mr. Sekai, so I keep coming here.

Some of our readers are underage, so we shouldn’t be talking about alcohol all time, sorry. For that reason (what’s the reason?), I would like to tell you the inside story of the actors who played the characters of Gundam Wing.

In my case, as an anime screenwriter by profession, character creation is greatly influenced by the human nature of the actors. People often say that the women in Gundam Wing are portrayed as strong and tough, but in fact, it’s all thanks to the actors. All the female voice actors were beautiful and pretty and Relena is the very representative of that, and the attitude of daring to face the fate of hardships is the original dignity of Ms. Akiko Yajima.

Akiko Yajima’s anecdote is actually more impressive when she appears in a different place than during the dubbing of “Gundam Wing”. When I went on a launch trip for a certain program, I still can’t forget the sight of her yelling with the deep voice of abdominal breathing that she practiced everyday “Take it easy!” at men who were getting drunk late at night and playing practical jokes.

Still, while showing the sorrow of a pretty girl, she said, “This role is really hard to grasp,” and her serious face reminded me of Relena, who would wonder, “How war be eliminated from the world?”

In addition, Yajima, who met Mr. Ikeda who later became the director of another program after a long time, said lightly, “Please don’t disappear this time,” after greeting him was amazing. It’s crazy. I felt like I wanted to scream like Investigator Acht, “Here! There’s a real Relena here!”

Readers may feel a subtle difference in temperature in Relena, who appears in this novel, and some of you might feel that it is somewhat unreliable. However, if you can understand that this character’s trivial duality is the true strength of Gundam Wing, I think that you’ll be able to enjoy this world even more.

Thanks to Mr. Toshihiko Seki for voicing Father Maxwell, who has not yet been drawn, the characters have become like the narrators of these four volumes. Of course, Seki-san’s acting plan has also been adopted for the cute Duo, who insists on being roguish.

Mr. Toshihiko Seki’s voice has a very gentle, refreshing and comforting sound, as if he is trying to support someone from the shadows when he sees someone in trouble, even though he is troubled and careless and messed up. I’m sure you can hear the audio playing in your brain like that.

I’m really glad that I came up with this method of changing the narrator each time, even though it’s in first person.
