Velocivolt Rock/Electric Reconstructed from a bird fossil found in Galar, Velocivolt is a small flightless bird pokemon. While it lacks the electric abilities of its older form, Nykazolt, Velocivolt is a pokemon capable of incredible speed and agility, presumably to keep it safe from predators.
Nykazolt Rock/Electric The evolved form of Velocivolt, its feathers are charged with incredible electric power, and it often shakes them loose as a form of attack, though it will also slice apart foes with its deadly electric arm blades. These blades can also be used to glide an impressive distance with a running start.
Some extra information: - It is thought that this fossil pokemon once lived in rocky and mountainous terrain due to their claws built to dig and grip onto sheer mountain surfaces. - The pads of the pokemon's feet are almost rubbery, and thought to act as a grounding mechanism for large electric attacks. - They're carnivores- presumably feeding on smaller mammalian pokemon and pokemon eggs.
Thank you [Anonymous] For donating this fossil so we can continue to learn more about this species of pokemon!

I love fossil mons! I have some fun headcannons to one day reveal here on the blog too!
But then i learned of the Galar fossils.
So heres a mything pokemon Fauxsil ((just pronounced Fossil)) to fix all that horrifying work that Cara Liss and others have done thatll make its way into the story for more mundane reasons since my world doesnt have a Galar region. Ive limited it to gen 4 and lower and to individual pokemon i love from later regions but not whole regions.
If YOU want one they come with a few rules:l below cut:
•They all originate from my universe and are sent out after other universes call for the mythic for it to be born there.
• I call it a mask but that is in fact its skull specialized to reflect away pokeball beam/tech. This fact also makes insta capture balls only have a 50/50 shot and all others useless
• sorry no shiny version, but pattern can be more detailed as long as its still got the vibe of a lab coat outfit! And mask can look different as long as it covers most of the face and head and is metalic for its typing.
• all that fluff is feathers if your a more detailed artists. Its for speed while flying and better water resistance!
• no pupils. This little thing has no eyes. It senses the world in whatever way best to find fossils as well as fossil mons.
• Teeth, pawpads, and claws can look like anything! Whatever you think fits your world best
• the bone stick can look like anything, just gotta be bone related lol
•They are genderless and non-replicating, preferred pronouns can change ((trans ur mon ues)) but they cannot have eggs/kids.
• Size ranges from 1.5 feet tall to 4 foot tall
• I MUST BE CREDITED AS THE SPECIES CREATOR so @ this blog
Have fun!

The first in my Galar fossil restoration project! Named Dromaeozolt after the Zolt in its other fossil forms (and electricity) and Dromaeo from the Dromaeosaurid like body it has! I gave it the rock typing since this is supposed to represent a properly restored fossil pokemon and not the pokemon from it's original time ^^ I know it's been done a few times before but I just really want to help these poor pokemon, lol, look at the Galar fossils..they are suffering Please do not use without my permission!

I think we can argue that fakemon canonically exist in the Pokemon universe(s??)
Like Ultra Beasts straight up come from different universes, dimensions, timelines, what have you. Recognized as Pokemon only because they made their way into our universe.
The Galar fossil Pokemon are literally just made up. I guess all of the fossil Pokemon are if you think about it. Some scientists just took some bones and dna bits from other fossils and pieced them together how they wanted and did magic to make them exist and got them registered as official Pokemon
And Mewtwo! And all the other manmade Pokemon! Literally just made them all up! Coded the Porygon line into existence!
Anyway the only reason some Pokemon are Pokemon and not fakemon is because of whatever bureaucracy exists in the Pokemon universe to get them officially recognized as such.

Dunno if I've posted this here before, but back when the 'Shrunk Dunk' paper came out last year I made this silly little concept for a full vish. It doesn't really innovate much but I really like Dracovish, not much to improve on really.

Some Fakemon designs I finished up last month for spooky season!
Goomy > Sliggoo > Goolossal I first designed the Goomy about a year ago and have been stalling on the evolutions ever since, but I’ve finally gotten to them. Felt fitting for a regional form that gains the Bug type to be based on parasites, leucochloridium to be specific!
Mermorbid "A certain Galarian researcher has stumped the scientific community with her discovery and revival of a supposed ancient mermaid-like Pokemon. The origin of this fossil is unclear." Pretty much just imagine the Fiji mermaid crossed with the Galar fossils. Nobody remembers the original Pokemon so they think its a new species! :)
Impidimp > Morgrem > Grimmurk Based on the Toronto tunnel monster! They lurk dark sewers and probably smell like wet dog.

Fakemon idea (suggested by @arknautikore)
Skorplash, Euryptide
Type: Water/Rock
Ability: Intimidate/Poison point
The fossil of this pokemon was discovered off the coast of Galar some years ago. Unfortunately due to the “experiments” of one Cara Liss, Skorplash was only officially recognized as a species recently. This pokemon enjoys swimming in groups and is capable of breathing both above and below the waves. Though they have poison and greatly resemble the pokemon Skorupi, the two are not actually related.
Euryptide are large enough to carry a grown person over the waves and gentle enough to give one a ride. Despite this, it’s unique “swimming paddle” style of locomotion leaves much to be desired by the rider. They are capable of bounding over and through the waves with ease and even climb onto rough terrain should it become tired.

Non-Ghost Pokémon Intro
I have been a massive fan of Pokémon since I was a young lad, watching the anime and playing the games with not a care in the world! Even after all of this time with be bing interested in other franchises and monster collecting games, Pokémon always drags me back in. I even took the last couple of years to make my own fakemon for potential regions and themes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
As one who thinks too much in terms of Pokémon designs and ideas, I always have fun little thought experiments that push the idea of what a Pokémon can be! I've made TV fossils, Nuclear winter hippos and a collection of blocks as fakemon, but the main dex always interested me! The main thing that has interested me as of recent is the breeding mechanic in Pokémon and how it could be expanded. As of now, you get two Pokémon of the same egg group, put them in the day care (or have a picnic in gen 9) and wait until an egg is given to you. The egg is always the youngest form of the female species, unless Ditto is used, and often obtains moves, IVs, and abilities of the appropriate species. However, not all Pokémon started from these eggs...some had to pass on before becoming what they are now. I am of course talking about the Ghost type!
Tumblr media
As stated in the Pokédex for many a Ghost type Pokémon, they are all stated to be a creature that has died then became a ghost. Take Yamask for instance:
Tumblr media
From the first gen Gengar all the way to our current gen Houndstone, every ghost type Pokémon references how they are spirits of the deceased, now forever used by other people. Pretty spooky right? But then, how is it that a Pokémon like Phantump is able to make an egg? Is every egg just filled with a dead child's soul? Well, I personally have a theory: there are two classes of Ghost Pokémon; Originator and Progenitor. The Originator is the Pokédex to a T: a spirit possessing an object of becoming a tangible creature via Infinity energy or the like to become a Pokémon. Progenitors, on the other hand, are the Pokémon we most likely see today, generations of ghosts later that are far removed from their living origins.
But then that brings another question: why are the offspring STILL ghosts? Well, why do Pokémon become ghost type to begin with? They don't die, they merely become more in tuned with the spectral energies. For example, take the newest evolution of Primeape's Pokédex:
Tumblr media
This means that the eggs are powered with ghostly infinity energy to continue being ghosts from hatching. Of course, this is just a theory that is all well and good, but what do I want to do with this information? Well, what if they weren't? What if a Ghost type Pokémon hatches and isn't a ghost type any more. We've seen this happen with Corsola becoming a ghost in Galar, so why can't it be done in reverse?
In the upcoming posts, I will be putting my hat into the ring to show what potentially a ghost type Pokémon would become if they lost the ghost typing. Some ground rules, though, as there will be some Pokémon I won't cover.
No legendaries/mythical/Ultra Beasts. They are not breedable, so wouldn't produce an egg to be de-ghosted.
No Pokémon that start as non-ghosts but evolve into them, like Snorunt or Nincada. The Pokémon has to have their BASE form be ghost type to count.
No Regional variants, such as Galarian Corsola or Hisuian Zorua. They are already the ghost versions of "living" Pokémon, so would be redundant. But note I will be taking inspiration from these types of Pokémon to see a design philosophy to follow.
With all that said, I look forward to seeing what you all thought of this and your reactions to the Non-Ghost Pokémon. Stay Tooned!

I think its fair for me to think this considering I 100% liked gen uhhhm uhh what. Number. 8? Galar generations pokemon designs, so its not my distaste for the direction and lack of playing them making me think this, but maaaaan. Paldeas designs feel unusually half-baked. Kimda tempted to have some fun redesigning some.
Idk what it is. Reminds me of how people complained about gen 4 designs being covered in doodads and wierd clunky shapes, but for real this time. Its a valid complaint for some gen 4 mons but here, jeez, every second mon feels like something from a fangame (generalising obviously, tons of fangames have sickass designs but the general 'fakemon you made to have an obligatory pokemon stand in' vibes. Idk.
Tons feel unfinished design wise and missing evolutions. Is there an unusual amount of single stage mons this time round it feels...?
Don't get me started on the paradox mons. I feel theres maybe a plot reason theyre not literally like, from the actual past or present, but maaaaan. How do you make the concept of past and future pokemon so fucking lame. You have either The Same Pokemon But With Doodads (which megas already were... but like good because they werent supposed to be, yknow, from alternate times, just same mon but Power) or The Same Pokemon But Robot.
Also just disappointing because... pokemon does fossil mons so good? Idk, was there really not enough mons to do some fun stuff like, primeape but synapsid for past, gyarados but with legs for future, or just make a single fuckin future one not a robot. Where are the goofy alien future mons. Uuuuaaargh!!!!
The worst part now is that this sinply isnt going to happen again. They had a generation about time and they didnt do more dinosaurs or prehistoric anything. Or wacky future stuff. They had one chance annd they did nothing interesting with it.
*melts into a puddle of mild disappointment*
*reforms* -counterpoint though the convergent mons??? Fucking sick idea??? Still feel a bit undercooked but oohhh. Please give me more. Its bizaare they bring in a concept as, i guess, advanced as convergent evolution essentialy but seemingly had zero ideas for past versions of mons. Wat.

Coelevish Rock/Water Reconstructed from a fish fossil found in Galar, Coelevish are the unevolved counterpart to the much larger Dunklevish. Coelevish feed on small crustacean pokemon and have a generally mellow demeanor, they have hard armor on their face and aren't bothered by many other aquatic pokemon species. Dunklevish Rock/Water An incredibly large fossilized fish pokemon- Dunklevish- despite its dopey appearance is an incredible predator of the deeper seas. It will eat just about anything that can fit in its mouth, and is a very fast swimmer. Hard armor on its face and sides also protects it from most attacks. Some other facts: - This pokemon has an incredible bite force despite its appearance! - It also has the habit of spitting up its preys bones after consuming it.
Thank you [Anonymous] For donating this fossil so we can continue to learn more about this species of pokemon!

-- HC: The Eeveelution Project
Tumblr media
Ashe has a off-hand project besides her main studies of every pokemon she can get her hands on/befriend and that’s the study of Eeveelutions. It began with Lucky’s evolution into an Empatheon, a psychic/fairy type under unusual circumstances and who is her partner, first pokemon, and do-or-die best friend. It is her belief that there are all kinds of Eeveelutions out there and that they are capable of great and wonderous things. Later he would settle finally into a Sylveon, but the fact that there were dual-types has driven this project still.
DISCLAIMER: Below are a list of the Eeveelutions I consider canon to my verse and if they are designed by someone, as also where they would be found in my verse. They can be considered common to rare at this point. If at all we get canonical eeveelutions they will be swapped out accordingly... Also if I find more appealing eeveelution fakemon, I made swap them out as well.
Eevee - Normal-type, first recorded in Kanto and the base form
Flareon - Fire-type, first recorded in Kanto
Jolteon - Electric-type, first recorded in Kanto
Vaporeon - Water-type, first recorded in Kanto
Umbreon - Dark-type, first recorded in Johto
Espeon - Psychic-type, first recorded in Johto
Leafeon - Grass-type, first recorded in Hisui/Sinnoh
Glaceon - Ice-type, first recorded in Hisui/Sinnoh

Nepheon - Flying-type, first recorded in Unova (fakemon by PavLover)
Brawleon - Fighting-type, first recorded in Alola (fakemon by SplatterParrot on deviantart)
Toxeon - Poison-type, first recorded in Paldea (fakemon by CoffeeButter on reddit)
Tricereon - Rock-type, first recorded in Orre after being revived from a fossil, ancestor to Eeveelutions (fakemon by inprogresspokemon on tumblr)

The second in my proper Galar fossil restoration project! Based on a Liopleurodon, it gets the second half of its name from such. The first comes from the Arcto fossil it has been restored from! It is speculated to have been an ice/water type in the distant past, this Pokémon was the apex predator of the time in frigid ocean waters.
