In my hc Geppetto was born in Italy before moving to Krat during the discovery of Ergo while Carlo was born in the (let's say Cosmopolitan) city

But he never bothered to get a bilingual nanny or instruct with "Teach him both French and Italian" he was just like "Idk make him not illiterate" while playing with mechanical dolls over hearing his baby's first words

Not even after shipping Carlo off to the Monad Charity House he asked for a Belle Époque Duolingo equivalent in his son's curriculum, and Carlo WAS curious to learn his father's mother language but as the years passed he came to resent it so he never had the courage to ask to be taught by the teachers specially when most didn't like him for causing trouble and pulling pranks all around with Romeo

Meanwhile the first thing Venigni does when he notices P doesn't really understand some of the words he sprinkles around his phrases is to ask if his savior wants to learn what they mean

So long story short P learns Italian because of Venigni while Carlo never had the chance

Or maybe he did after all but it was because of Romeo, not that Geppetto needed to know that

And ironically enough Geppetto and Venigni bonded so well because of their shared language during social events outings

The Puppet Killer 🦋

⚠️ This is NOT blood but OIL (puppet oil to be precise) ⚠️

Just wanted to be clear about this and people who played the game will know how he gets all dirty when killing the puppets.

Anyway this is my 2nd illustration of Lies of P and my main challenge was to draw a more realistic face for P. I tried to stick to his face in the game without copying it from one single reference and I absolutely had to draw him with the long hair and my favorite outfit. This time, I’ve got to say I went pretty berserk on him but I really enjoyed it and hope you do as well.
