i don't even want to take half my classes that im registered for autumn quarter

#this is just me spitballing here -#definitely need to take the security related classes that i want to do and even if i did dogshit at databases i still want to take the next #-class in the series bc i heard its more programming #also maybe the instructor won't suck that was a huge part of it #and im dropping data science im sorry i can't do algos i can't do machine learning. fuck cs theory im not into that.#but the question now is - do systems (which would give me a leg up in the security track) or do animation capstone (which is cool)#downside of systems is that theyre some of the hardest programming classes and i have to do group projects #downside of animation is that i missed the ball on most of the stuff and its a lot of classes in a sequence. also group projects.#(or neither and fuck off and do the global health minor or take english/art/architecture/philosophy classes just for fun idfk)#the stem major's curse #the last humanities option is looking nice rn maybe i can also take a bunch of public health stuff too #i actually kind of want to enjoy college even if im a commuter with no friends #hm ok i will go look for some classes later today #the data science stuff really screwed me over im glad im free of that at least #milk (normal)#i am kind of the ''mid at everything'' guy so no specialization for me or else i get bored and start attacking myself with hammers #and i change my mind about who i am and my personality every few months so thats really fun to deal with.

I am clinging to the edge of the fnaf fandom by the tips of my nails and it's dragging me in slowly but surely like... Well like an animatronic that wants your corpse. Anyway have a belle security breach au idea.

The virtual reality of U is top of the line vr tech, with millions if not billions of users, each with a unique personally generated avatar. It hosts hundreds of worlds and global events, able to create spectacles impossible in real life.

Naturally, fazbear entertainment would have a huge presence on there, it being so much easier to create, maintain and animate false bodies in the virtual world. They create a mega pizza plex, dressed to the nines in neon and strobes and holograms, and without having to worry about the dangers of npcs turning evil they fill it up with new characters and robotic staff to serve. Even with the many... issues they face with their real world locations, the fazbear name skyrockets, bringing in fame and fortune... And obsessive followers.

One of which is a young woman called Vanessa, who lingers around the pizzaria a little too long for her own safety.

And, years later, a young homeless boy with dreams of performing and government given U earpieces for online education. Or maybe he just stole them.

There's a cool mechanic where visitors can win a ticket to go in freddys body for a time! No one's too sure whether it's an actual avatar with an actual paid performer or just a really good script, but either way glamrock freddy is cool with it. No one really wants to ask his physical counterpart to do the same though, those rumors are NASTY.

Gregory is one of the lucky few, but his scheduled time is when it's getting dark. He steals some pizza out the back of some restaurant for dinner, and enters the virtual world. It's great! It's even better than he imagined! He gets to meet his idol!

But human bodies don't follow into the virtual world.

And the fazbear pizzeria has some worrying rumours.

I think the two possessed kids would get on but I'm not sure how #Security breach being virtual would be such a cool idea though. Not to mention it'd explain how it looks like that. Meta!#Also the idea of a possessed animatronic having to work alongside actual ai animatronics and being treated the same would be...#A not good experience for your self worth and mental health #On the one hand so much angst potential #On the other there is significant potential for crack if Gregory just decides they're people and goes found family #And he gets to perform! On a global stage! With his idols! And gets glamorous living quarters and merch and expensive accessories and -#And there is a computer virus going around corrupting his best friends. He's seen the moon attendant staring through the window at night.#I think the final arc of this au would be freddy/Gregory himself getting sort of hunted by increasingly suspicious ai in the bodies of his #Having to talk and act his way out of situations and avoid vanny - possibly his murderer #While hunting down information on how he died and what's happening outside virtual reality #And possessing souls are ANGRY. He is ANGRY. Heya guys. Sorry for posting this for the billionth time. But maybe if you guys would like to give my posts about patreon a boost it would mean the world to me. I know I post this a lot and I don't take any help I receive for granted. I've only been able to make two new drawings since February. Bc every day I have been working almost 9 hours. I'm sick nearly every other week, my lymph nodes are swollen n I've been feeling incredibly depressed. I am from the global south, in the philippines, government help is near nonexistent. I am the sole caretaker of three disabled people. My mom can not do any housework, she is a full time wheelchair user, she needs care 24/7, insulin, adult diapers and kidneys that are under threat of failing if we don't watch her health, my dad has a chronic heart condition and my sister is autistic with a very low frustration threshold. Both my parents are diabetic, and I am the only person in my family who can work. I currently have three jobs, one in publishing, but I have a morality clause which means the publishing house can take back every single penny I make if I or the author fail to meet certain expectations. Anyway.. I have been working nonstop, my scoliosis is untreated and extremely painful, n for the past few four days I have been rationing a single can of spam and a few potatoes. Would mean the world to me if you guys could pick up a print, or subscribe to my patreon, or reblog any of my old art or send me a tip on ko-fi or anywhere else. Sorry and thank you again. As Gaza spirals toward full-scale famine, displaced civilians and health workers told CNN they go hungry so their children can eat what little is available. If Palestinians find water, it is likely undrinkable. When relief trucks trickle into the strip, people clamber over each other to grab aid. Children living on the streets, after being forced from their homes by Israel’s bombardment, cry and fight over stale bread. Others reportedly walk for hours in the cold searching for food, risking exposure to Israeli strikes. Even before the war, two out of three people in Gaza relied on food support, Arif Husain, the chief economist at the World Food Programme (WFP), told CNN. Palestinians have lived through 17 years of partial blockade imposed by Israel and Egypt. Israel’s bombardment and siege since October 7 has drastically diminished vital supplies in Gaza, leaving the entire population of some 2.2 million exposed to high levels of acute food insecurity or worse, according to the Integrated Food Security and Nutrition Phase Classification (IPC), which assesses global food insecurity and malnutrition. Martin Griffiths, the UN’s emergency relief chief, told CNN the “great majority” of 400,000 Gazans characterized by UN agencies as at risk of starving “are actually in famine.” UN human rights experts have warned “Israel is destroying Gaza’s food system and using food as a weapon against the Palestinian people.”

The World Economic Forum’s annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland, has just ended. The theme of the five-day event, “Working Together, Restoring Trust,” was both vague and troubling, in equal measures.

Remember, this is the WEF we are discussing here, an international organization actively pushing “The Great Reset.” The theme could just as easily have read: “Suffering Together, Restoring Compliance.”

Among the many issues discussed, members focused on the spread of misinformation and disinformation. How, they asked, can the proliferation of harmful content be combatted? It’s easy, they answered, how about introducing digital IDs?

The WEF recently rolled out the Global Coalition for Digital Safety, an initiative designed to “accelerate public-private cooperation to tackle harmful content online.” In an effort to remedy the scourge of malicious material, the WEF has brought together a “diverse group of leaders who are well placed to exchange best practices for new online safety regulation and help millions of connected citizens improve digital media literacy.”

These “diverse leaders” include head honchos at the likes of Google, Microsoft, Interpol, and a number of government ministers. Another coalition member is Yoti, a company that strives to make the internet a safer place. How so? Through the use of digital IDs.

The dangers posed by digital IDs cannot be emphasized enough. As the researcher Brett Solomon—a man “who has tracked the advantages and perils of technology for human rights” for well over a decade—previously noted, the mass rollout of digital IDs “poses one of the gravest risks to human rights of any technology that we have encountered.”
