Reviewing The 5th And Final Season Of Gomorrah
*WARNING: THE FOLLOWING REVIEW CONTAINS MAD SPOILERS*
Tumblr media
Sad to see this show come to an end but it had to end.
Tumblr media
As the 5th season begins, Gennaro Savastano is still on the run from prosecutor Ruggieri, who almost came within an inch of getting Patrizia, Gennaro’s most trusted employee, to turn on him, but moreover, Gennaro Savastano is literally and figuratively, in a hole.
He has literally taken to living underground to avoid being seen, and from a business perspective, he is as isolated as he has ever been with many of his block bosses ready to look elsewhere for new supply.
Ciro’s death in the finale of season 3, coupled with Patrizia’s betrayal in season 4, and the attempted takeover by Gerlando Levante’s family, thought to be Gennaro’s last remaining relatives, has all left Gennaro a tad bit desolate.
And add to that, his wife won’t speak to him.
But make no mistake, Gennaro is not a sympathetic figure. He’s a mob prince turned mob kingpin. About as far from relatable as a man can possibly be. Guy went from rich to richer and keep this in mind because it’s going to matter as far as the alliances that are formed later.
Among the things that are very real, and/or genuine, about Gennaro, was his affinity for his best friend, Ciro Di Marizio.
When Gennaro finally gets the prosecutor off his back, thanks to an alibi provided by his wife, Azzura, he wipes out what remains of the Levante clan and then sees to it that some of the their co-conspirators meet the same fate, and it’s here that Gennaro finds out that Ciro Di Marizio is still alive.
Tumblr media
While you are more than welcome to have your doubts, given how tired this trope is, you have to bear with me because the writers of this show took it, and absolutely gave it new life with how much subtexts it adds to the themes of this show in it’s 5th and final season.
When the two are reunited, Gennaro appears to embrace Ciro and even talks about bringing him back in to the fold and “taking over the world” again.
When Ciro refuses, he proceeds to calmly sit back as his bestie is kidnapped and taken to what looks like a dog pound to be kept as a slave, because he dared to try to establish any kind of independence from Gennaro.
See that’s the major difference between Gennaro and Ciro.
The reign of the Savastanos, both Pietro and Gennaro, has been particularly brutal and treacherous.
Forgiveness doesn’t exist in the Savastano realm and what cannot be controlled, or manipulated, must be destroyed. There is no room for oxygen at the top of this pyramid and it’s an all-or-nothing game with anyone and everything the Savastano’s come in to contact with.
Tumblr media
Contrast this with Ciro, whom upon freeing himself, seeks out SangreBlue, the man thought to have killed him, and allies with him.
This in itself shows the differences between Gennaro and Ciro.
Gennaro could never allow SangreBlue to live even if his reasons for “killing” Ciro were justified, and indeed SangreBlue is still on the run from Gennaro and his business partners in season 5, having lost his territory due to not having any supply because he trusted Patrizia.
That type of benevolence doesn’t exist in Gennaro’s world.
In fact, while Gennaro and Ciro’s relationship is very much built on loyalty, and the two have always insisted that it was them against the world, and that they are two peas in a pod, the way friends do, this season showed they are, in fact very different people.
I mentioned how treacherous Gennaro’s time as a mob kingpin had been, but it has also been efficient, pragmatic, adaptable and reliable. His business partners knew that he could come through, no matter what.
But the drawback of this, is a man who allows his need to control, and moreover his desperation, to get in the way of what is actually best for him, his business and his family.
He makes an unnecessary enemy out of the Gentlemen’s wife when he cannot accept the Gentlemen’s refusal, and that turns out to have long term consequences but also speaks to Gennaro and the Savastano way.
Tumblr media
What we are watching, are two conflicting styles of leadership.
Gennaro’s being the more traditional, pragmatic, business-minded, and at times even corporate, leadership style.
Ciro’s style is one that borders more on kinship, loyalty, and most of all, belief.
While Genaro gives his business partners confidence, Ciro gives his closest allies faith, and these things are, in fact, very, very different.
Gennaro’s allies back him because they think his triumph is the likeliest outcome, Ciro’s allies having nothing but a belief in the idea that a man once thought to be dead, is said to have come back to life, and this turns Ciro into something of an urban legend and a unifying force against the Savastanos.
Gennaro has had many different foes throughout five seasons of this show.
He went to war with the old time mobsters in Rome, and claimed one of their daughters as a prize. He built his drug empire up again at a time when it seemed that no one could possibly control the block bosses of Naples, and one-by-one, he has eliminated the top bosses of his father’s generation.
None of those people were like Ciro.
His old foes were leaders because of their business savvy, their charisma, their money, or their legacy/ family name.
That is nothing like a guy that people believe to be immortal. A guy that fills them with belief in something outside of themselves.
Gennaro’s defeated foes always had someone that would turn on them for the right price. Ciro’s followers appear to be operating on blind faith and an out of place sense of moral justice, much like the Gentlemen’s wife.
As it turns out, it’s way harder to pay people off when they’re fighting for something other than money.
Tumblr media
The politics of Gomorrah have always been fascinating to observe or ponder, and this season, it really feels like the writers were more ham fisted in depicting how each situation, or new scenario forces a kind of compromise that otherwise wouldn’t be ideal.
That’s not new as far as this show’s themes are concerned, the difference is for a change it actually harms the Savastano clan in a way that Gennaro cannot recover from.
His decision to trust the Monk and bring him in to the fold of his organization is arguably his worst mistake in the war against Ciro, and he completely misreads The Mistral’s devotion to his wife, a decision that weakens him severely in his war effort.
He also unnecessarily makes an enemy out of Nunzia, who ironically browbeats Gennaro about a lack of respect for his elders and the dead, which pretty much sums up Gennaro better than most.
Up to this point, Gennaro’s leadership is the tried and tested, immovable institution of the criminal world. It’s as set in stone as the monarchies of King Louis the great, and as expansive and as robust as the Roman Empire before Christ. It is the hegemonic power of it’s day.
But even empires have limits.
The Soviet Union, Germany in World War 2, and yes, even the Roman Empire, all collapsed because it is not practical to wage war on two different fronts, and in the same way, Gennaro simply had too many enemies.
Compare this with Ciro, whose leadership is like socialist democracy in action. He unites what remains of his own loyalists with SangreBlue’s that remain in Forcella, then allies with Gentlemen’s wife for financial backing.
However that doesn’t mean Ciro is free, and his unholy alliance with the Gentleman’s wife, is the constant theme of his life and it is really unironic at this point, how his own goals always clash with those in power, leadership, or in this case, positions of leverage.
Ciro really only wants to take down the Savastano clan and claim Naples as his own. The Gentlemen’s wife wants to go a few steps further than this, and Ciro is in the same pattern, he’s always been in, doing the bidding of more powerful forces even when he’d rather not.
Gennaro’s price to pay is that he is betrayed by those closest to him, in very much the same way as he had encouraged those that eventually betrayed his foes in almost every conflict he’s ever been involved in.
Tumblr media
See, Ciro and Gennaro, are reunited at very different points of their narratives in this 5th and final season, and for as intelligent, pragmatic and resourceful as they are, neither truly attains what they set out for.
Gennaro is not venerated as the gangster-turned-businessmen, and in doing so also legitimizing his family, and thus becoming the greatest of the Savastano line.
Ciro doesn’t attain any sense of freedom or independence. HIs proletariat visions of the common criminals ruling over the blocks of Naples are never realized.
Gennaro is at a point where years of controlling and monopolizing Naples’ drug market, compounded with the isolation of his time on the run, has resulted in him being pushed as close to breaking point as he’s ever been, as shown when he admits feeling overwhelmed to Azzura on a few occasions this season.
The demands of Gennaro’s business, his ambitions and his family life, stretching him thin before all coming together to contribute to his demise.
Ciro has reached where he is for very different reasons, which are explored better in a prequel called l’immortale, but Ciro realizes how good criminal independence could be, and this is the reason he does not return to Naples, even if Gennaro is his friend.
While Gennaro seeks to maintain control, Ciro seeks to dismantle and disrupt the old order, but the way he approaches this is with a sense of inevitability, a sense that what will be, will be, and always clouded in desperation.
You get the sense that this guy actually thinks he’s immortal.
Ciro assembling a ragtag group of dealers with no funding or arms, to take on the machine that is the Savastano empire, is a suicide mission, and Ciro approaches it with a brazen, devil may care attitude, that requires one to lose all regard for themselves before undertaking it.
In the end, for all the ways these guys differ, they still shared the same ending, and the series end the way it began.
Genny and Ciro in a hail of bullets versus everyone else.
Tumblr media
I enjoyed this series more than any other television series in this decade, and it’s rare for there to be a show that I like as much as this given how narrow my tastes can be sometimes when it comes to television.
I mentioned earlier that there was a kind of follow up, with a show called l’immortale, which depicts what Ciro’s life was, in between being thought to be dead and reuniting with Gennaro in season 5.
it’s worth checking out for the Ciro fans like myself, but note to future producers of Italian television shows, don’t bother re-dubbing with English voice actors, the shows are better when dudes are speaking their native tongues and subtitles are still cool.
I don’t care what anyone says, SUBTITLES WILL NEVER BE OUT OF STYLE!!!!

(Edits closed as of 28 Nov.)
Lmaoooo
Nah I getchu. So this post has been circulating for like two years:
Tumblr media
Link to post.
But yesterday, it had inspired someone to do this:
Tumblr media
Link to post.
Next thing I knew there were fake Letterboxed reviews.
Goncharov moodboards. Really good ones.
Tumblr media
Link to post.
Meta analysis. So many fake meta essays. Disturbingly good ones. And of course the memes. (Edit: HAVE I SAID THIS SHIT IS DISTURBING)
As you can see, the myth just started to grow, characters and ships and tropes being added one after the other, almost bizzarely without contradiction, until there was enough of shape to the whole thing for people to start posting fanfic about it on AO3. "No beta we die like ice-pick Joe" is already a tag.
Tumblr media
Link to post.
It was hilarious in the beginning, but the way it's developed within less than a day, kind of like it's being willed into existence, is freaking me out a bit. We're toying with powers beyond our comprehension. 😂😂😂
Tumblr media
Link to post.
Of course, there could be an ulterior motive as well.
Tumblr media
Link to post (tags mine).
Edit: guys, please tag these posts "unreality" so people with disassociation issues can filter them out (not this one, this is an explainer). <3
----------------------------------------------
Edit 2: Aparently the boots in the original post are actually referring to a movie called Gomorrah that came out in 2008, directed by Mateo Garrone, based on the Scampia Feud. And other people had also been making posts about the fake movie for a while before the poster took off.

Tumblr media
Edit 3: Explainer: why did those boots have this movie on them anyway?
Edit 4: Alt text added to all images courtesy of @valentineish ❤️
Edit 5: Turns out tumblr has done this kind of thing before. Nine years in this hell place and I had to have "Squiddles" and penis smp explained in the replies.
Edit 6: This post collects the Lore so far.
Edit 7: Lynda Carter (real one)/ earns more/ Tumblr cred.
Edit 8: Holy shit y'all we have the theme music. With sheet music. And it's on Spotify!
Edit 9: THERE IS A TRAILER WITH THE THEME MUSIC
----------------------------------------------
I made this post 18 hours after the movie poster went up. Closed edits 27 hours after first posting. So all of the above happened within 45 hours of the movie poster going up.
Edit 10: Google document live-compiling all the lore so far (Day 3)
Edit 11: Masterpost of Goncharov soundtracks (Day 3)
Edit 12: Entertainment news articles covering the Gonch-posting (real) (Contd from yday)
Edit 13: The music from the masterpost all compiled into a 31-minute original score with video edits on YouTube (edit: unfortunately taken down)
Edit 14: Staff's Goncharov art showcase for Tumblr Tuesday
As of closing on Day 3 there are 371 works in the AO3 tag.

Updating with Day 3 shenanigans I missed yesterday:
Edit 15: Goncharov TV Tropes page
Edit 16: Ethics of Gonchposting
Important PSA 1 (how to reduce harm to Tumblr's neurodivergents)
Important PSA 2 (reality affirmation, anti-bullying)
Important PSA 3 (why you should stop trying to vandalise legit information sites)

Tumblr media
(alt text included)
End of Day 4 there are now 485 works in the Goncharov tag on AO3
----
Didn't get to update this on Day 5, so these are the Day 5 doings:
More trailers!
Trailer 1 (My favourite)
Trailer 2
Trailer 3
Trailer 4
I also just found out about the Goncharov Game Jam.
Tumblr media
It appears this opened a day after after the meme took off.
Goncharov was first entered into Wikipedia between Day 4 and 5 (attempts to vandalise it with fake info don't count, incidentally – please knock that shit off) under List of Internet Phenomena. This was then expanded into its own Wikipedia page at the end of Day 5 because, according to the talk history: "the topic now meets the notability threshold for its own artice due to significant coverage in The New York Times and other sources cited." We're on Wikipedia, people!
And then we made The Guardian half a day later. So while the meme is definitely dying down to embers by now, it still stays winning.
YouTube channels with episodes on the meme:
InformOverlord (4:30)
Lessons in Meme Culture (2:43)
End of Day of 5 there were 511 works on AO3, and End of Day 6 (today) there are 556.

🚨BREAKING 🚨 from Martin Scorsese's daughter's TikTok (real actual)
tw: unreality:
We did it you guys!
Clarification: Francesca Scorcese asked her Dad about the meme and Martin played along. Please reblog this PSA to help Tumblr people with psychosis. Thanks.
Final edit: Day 8. Media reactions to Scorcese's TikTok (everyone from Forbes to Vulture). That one Tumblr user who said they'd do a screenplay if their post got notes has promised to shoot a single scene, but please don't be dicks just because you reblogged it; leave them alone until they get around to it themselves. As of end of Day 8 there are 609 works in the AO3 tag. I love all you lunatics. Peace! ❤️

I know its beens awhile but what did you think of S15 as a whole?
As a whole I think season 15 was an above-average season due to below-average execution and ended with a stellar series finale that added rewatch value not just for season 15 but also all of 15 seasons.
Season 15 started and ended with callbacks to previous seasons; from season 1's woman in white and Sam's goal of returning to a normal life, to season 5's Dean's time in hell as Alastair's apprentice and bringing closure to Adam Milligan, to season 8's endgames for Sam and Dean.
The first half of the season 15 was about free will vs determinism, with Sam representing the former and Dean representing the latter.  Sam and Dean’s confrontation with God parallels how they've reacted to family and authority their entire lives: Sam challenged God’s Divine decree over His Creation while Dean accused God of abandoning His Creation.  When Abraham spoke with his heart and mind to God over His plan to destroy Sodom & Gomorrah, it led to Abraham transcending himself, leading the way for God, and becoming the father of faith. Metaphorically it's all about lessons in honest, meaningful relationships with our fellow human beings.   People often suppress their true selves and principles for the sake of avoiding conflict instead of taking the relationship a step further into a place of sincerity.   From season 11 to 14, Sam and Dean spoke their hearts and minds to God and the brothers' relationship became at its strongest, never wavering even when occasional arguments sprouts up because they were honest with each other.
Sam and God became connected through Sam's hope which manifested in their identical wounds. Secular-based hope is about anticipating something good to come in the future.  Sam has hope in a better future, so Chuck showed him a bleak future to make his lose that hope.  Once Sam lost his hope, God leaves.  That’s pretty much what happens to people in real life, when they lose hope, they feel there is no God or God abandoned them. Another physical manifestation of a bleak future is Dean's old friend who retired from hunting, Lee, who became so corrupted that Dean is forced to kill him.
The return of Sam and Dean's half-brother, Adam, brings welcome closure.  Adam is not out for revenge as he acknowledged his own culpability for agreeing to vessel-ship in the first place.  Him and Michael only having each other for 10 years in the Cage led to their codependent-symbiotic-ish relationship that parallels Sam and Dean to some extent.
I like to call the second half of season 15 the "Dean redemption tour" where side characters were used to address Dean's unresolved issues in order for him to be good enough for Sam in their eternal afterlife. Normally whenever Dean interacted with side characters it is about the side characters, not Dean (see example here and here). But when the formula is reversed, it becomes a bit disjointed, and the audience picked up on it. The final redemption act target Dean's anger issues that both Amara and Chuck discussed.
Chuck: This is my ending.  My real ending.
Very next scene: *Dean pulls a gun on Sam*
Dean’s been so obsessed with having free will that he’s actually following Chuck’s writing.  As usual Sam broke through to Dean, in effect breaking Chuck’s influence. Then a very mad mad Chuck shows up.
Chuck:  “Are you kidding me? After all that, you did it again!”
Then 15x18 happened. Ignoring the hilarity of that scene, the speech was supposed to remind the general audience that Dean is A HERO before he dies two episodes later. By 15x19, free will vs determinism comes to a conclusion.   Michael and Lucifer betrayed the Winchesters and succumb to determinism, fulfilling their destiny to destroy each other.  Sam and Dean manipulated Michael to lure Chuck into a trap to replace him with a new God, Jack. Chuck is left only with human frailties and for the first time Chuck has no idea what happens next, bringing the free will theme to a full circle.
Due to interactions with Sam, Rowena became the new queen of Hell while Jack becomes the new God of Heaven. Jack promises Sam that He will have a hands-off approach and people don’t need to pray or sacrifice to Him. Jack’s perception of humanity is distilled down to, “When people have to be their best, they can be.”
Before the story ends, the protagonist is supposed to accomplish their primary goal that had kept them driven and move the story forward.  Sam’s goal was attaining normal life, it was never about eradicating monsters to extinction or avenging his mother’s death.  In fiction it always seems like the main character want many things, but there is always a primary goal.  Harry Potter gets dragged into many subplots such as conflicts with his best friends, romantic misfires, and incidents with secondary characters, however his main goal was always to defeat Voldemort and that's what the audience is holding out to see.  Sam Winchester’s journey is flipped from Harry Potter’s; Sam gets dragged into many subplots of saving the world, defeating the Big Baddies, and conflicts with his brother, however his main goal was always to have a chance at a normal life. But this can't happen while Dean is still alive.
Dean has everything he wanted: Sam and hunting.  Dean is a complete person; he doesn’t need anything else. But Sam had given up just about everything so that Dean wouldn’t be alone. 15x16 reminded the audience that Sam wanted out of the hunting life since he was a child. Sure, Sam is very good at his job and even became a leader, but they always made sure to show that Sam doesn’t have passion for the family business other than saving people’s lives.  Claire Novak shows way more enthusiasm for the job. But Dean would never retire from the hunting life.  Even when Michael gave Dean a fantasy life, Dean still conjured up monsters so he can fight and kill them.  As long as Dean is alive, Sam will never be free to pursue a normal life.  Think back to Dean's speech in season 8 telling Sam to pursue his normal life only after Dean dies with a gun in his hand and a smile on his face.
The pivotal barn scene in the 15x20 finale was genius, bringing the series to full circle with callback to the pilot, fleshing it out, adding backstory to Dean’s pov that brings his fear, need, relief, and love to stark relief.  It hurt like hell, and at the same time, cathartic because Dean was honest.   The way Dean said, “Come here. Let me look at you. There he is!”  That’s Dean in dad mode, the parental figure to Sam.  The show reminded the audience in 15x18 that Dean raised his little brother.  Still in dad mode, Dean then tells Sam that he is proud of him.  It’s what every son wants to hear from their dad.
Tumblr media
Dean then goes into brother mode and tells Sam he admires his strength even when they were children.  Sam’s strength is such that Dean was afraid that Sam doesn’t need him. Fearing rejection, he stood outside of Sam’s dorm for hours before finally going to Sam because it’s always been Sam and Dean, and Dean can’t comprehend if he didn’t have Sam.
From there Dean gives Sam his blessing to keep living his life.  “I love you so much, my baby brother”. Sam’s reaction was pure and raw, he has always been honest about his wants and needs but craves Dean’s approval to pursue them, and now he has it.  Sam’s faith in Dean went answered with Dean saying how proud he is of Sam, how much he admired Sam’s strength so that Sam knows he is strong enough to go on living without Dean.
Another reason why the barn scene is genius is the pilot callback sets up Sam and Dean’s reunion in New Heaven as pilot 2.0.  From there they will build their relationship just as Sam and Dean.  They are at peace without monsters disrupting their lives, without vindictive angels disrupting their afterlives, and without childhood angsts weighing them down.  They have both freedom and peace.
This applies to all of the hunters.  Jack’s New Heaven is like a retirement home for hunters where they can enjoy their peace and socialize with their friends and loved ones and even upgrade themselves to the people they were meant to be on earth.

Genesis chapter 10 "The Table of Nations": mapped to probable locations.
From the New Oxford Annotated Bible 5th edition.
Genesis 10 (NRSVue translation):
These are the descendants of Noah’s sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth; children were born to them after the flood.
2 The descendants of Japheth: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras. 3 The descendants of Gomer: Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah. 4 The descendants of Javan: Elishah, Tarshish, Kittim, and Rodanim.[a] 5 From these the coastland peoples spread. These are the descendants of Japheth[b] in their lands, with their own language, by their families, in their nations.
6 The descendants of Ham: Cush, Egypt, Put, and Canaan. 7 The descendants of Cush: Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, and Sabteca. The descendants of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan. 8 Cush became the father of Nimrod; he was the first on earth to become a mighty warrior. 9 He was a mighty hunter before the Lord; therefore it is said, “Like Nimrod a mighty hunter before the Lord.” 10 The beginning of his kingdom was Babel, Erech, Akkad, and Calneh in the land of Shinar. 11 From that land he went into Assyria and built Nineveh, Rehoboth-ir, Calah, and 12 Resen between Nineveh and Calah; that is the great city. 13 Egypt became the father of Ludim, Anamim, Lehabim, Naphtuhim, 14 Pathrusim, Casluhim, from whom the Philistines come, and Caphtorim.
15 Canaan became the father of Sidon, his firstborn, and Heth 16 and the Jebusites, the Amorites, the Girgashites, 17 the Hivites, the Arkites, the Sinites, 18 the Arvadites, the Zemarites, and the Hamathites. Afterward the families of the Canaanites spread abroad. 19 And the territory of the Canaanites extended from Sidon in the direction of Gerar as far as Gaza and in the direction of Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim as far as Lasha. 20 These are the descendants of Ham, by their families, their languages, their lands, and their nations.
21 To Shem also, the father of all the children of Eber, the elder brother of Japheth, children were born. 22 The descendants of Shem: Elam, Asshur, Arpachshad, Lud, and Aram. 23 The descendants of Aram: Uz, Hul, Gether, and Mash. 24 Arpachshad became the father of Shelah, and Shelah became the father of Eber. 25 To Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg,[c] for in his days the earth was divided, and his brother’s name was Joktan. 26 Joktan became the father of Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah, 27 Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah, 28 Obal, Abimael, Sheba, 29 Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab; all these were the descendants of Joktan. 30 The territory in which they lived extended from Mesha in the direction of Sephar, the hill country of the east. 31 These are the descendants of Shem, by their families, their languages, their lands, and their nations.
32 These are the families of Noah’s sons, according to their genealogies, in their nations, and from these the nations spread abroad on the earth after the flood.

The picture below is as an actual photo from Gaza, as the truthfulness of the Palestinians claims about "indiscriminate bombing". Those claims are, well, entirely false.
A simple look at several numbers of real indiscriminate bombing events, shows that pretty clearly.
During Feb. 13th-15th 1945, the allies dropped on the German city of Dresden a total of 3,100 tons of bombs, killing 25,000-35,000 civilians. The area of Dresden is 328.8 Km², and its population before the bombing was 567,000.
Let's take a look at another similar event from WW2. During operation Gomorrah, the allies dropped 2,326 tons of bombs on the city of Hamburg, killing 34,000-45,000 people. The area of Hamburg is 755.2 Km², and its population before the bombing was 634,000 people.
Now, back to Gaza. 3 days ago, the Gazan Hamas government media office claimed Israel had dropped 65,000 tons of bombs, and reported about 22,313 casualties. The area of the Gaza strip is 365 Km² (slightly larger than Dresden) and its population before the war was 2.3 million people (according to several sources).
I guess you can see where this is going: the population density in Gaza was 6,301 People/Km², which even increased after the massive evacuations of Gazans.
That's 3.6 (!) times the population density of Dresden, and 7.5 (!) times the population density of Hamburg, before the bombings.
So according to the Palestinians and their supporters: 21 times (!) the bombs dropped on Dresden, and 28 (!) times of bombs dropped on Hamburg, in an area with a population density 3.6 times larger than Dresden and 7.5 larger than Hamburg, caused less deaths than the smallest casualties number verification after the bombing of Dresden in 1945. The numbers are entirely absurd, and if they are true, that's the least indiscriminate bombings I've seen in my life.
As a conclusion, I'd like to ask several questions:
1 According to what absurd logic, the Hamas propaganda is treated as even somewhat believable?
2 How does the Palestinians know the exact bomb weights, simply from looking at explosions?
3 If the Hamas ministry of health said on Nov. 21st they've lost the ability to count their dead, how they are still reporting exact casualties numbers?
4 What alien technology are they using, to know exactly how many people are under the rubble, as they claim?
5 If Israel identification of almost 1200 victims took about 3 months and is still going, how exactly Hamas is reporting exact casualties less than an hour after each attack, and at the end of each day?
6 So far it seems that almost only women and children are killed, according to Hamas, and almost no men and no Hamas eliminated terrorists appear in the reports? Are they invincible, or hiding too good behind the women and children? For my followers, I really appreciate your support. Thank you for helping me combatting propaganda. The sources, as always, are attached below.

story
his dad was raised in utah and was very strictly mormon. when new jerusalem collapsed, dad moved himself, his wife, and his first son to the mojave and found work on an NCR sharecropper farm.
teddy was born fifth of six kids: four older brothers and one younger sister. he, his sister hannah, and his brother noah all have very visible vitiligo.
the kids were all also raised strictly mormon. his whole childhood, they were very poor. "at least we have each other" poor. his dad blamed it on the NCR, who owned the house and land and animals they ranched. they owned nothing, and the NCR paid them little more than that. teddy was quickly disillusioned with the NCR, then with the three of his brothers who decided to join them. one brother stayed back to inherit the ranch.
turns out, the NCR was paying; dad was just gambling it all away. he was so deeply in debt to all the families on the strip that they all decided to cut their losses and burn his farm to the ground.
that's... that's the story teddy decided to tell hannah, anyway (he wouldnt tell u this but he totally burnt that shit down on purpose). mom, dad, and one of his brothers were lost in the fire. teddy and hannah made it out, waved goodbye, parted ways.
teddy took his horse, old red, and began running jobs for whoever needed them. he never tied himself to one organization aaand his jobs weren't always above the ethical board. really, it was luck of the draw that, on any given day, he was the one defending the caravan instead of stealing from it
when he eventually went searching for his siblings, he found that two of the three brothers that had enlisted, predictably, were killed on duty. noah, though, had absconded almost immediately upon arrival due to a nasty chem habit
he found hannah "working" in front of gomorrah on the stip - her vitiligo made them instantly recognizable to each other - but she pretended not to know him because she was ashamed. he understood and gave up, but not before she hinted that he could find noah at the old mormon fort
he did, in fact, find noah there, medically detoxing under the care of some hot, blonde doctor (bweheheh....). they reconnected and it was..... really nice, even when they talked about how ashamed their dad would be if he could see them. it didnt matter. the family disappointments were the only family survivors.
teddy and arcade quickly grew very fond of each other, with arcade even being the first one to call him "teddy" after he told the doctor his name was theodore. he decided, despite its cutesy nature, to keep it.
after finishing his open jobs, teddy decided to stay with noah at the fort and run jobs for the followers when they needed it. he got reeeal comfy with arcade, and their subtle, playful flirtations eventually became noticeable to others. his brother, angry and sick from chem withdrawal and still fighting his religious upbringing, could not handle finding out that his baby brother was gay. when he did, he angrily shouted slurs and threw bottles at them until he was sedated and returned to bed.
teddy left the fort that night while everyone but the night watchman slept. he struggled to recover from what happened and drifted listlessly for a while... until he heard the news that noah had fled from his "rehab" program in the fort the day after teddy left, overdosed, and died.
the news spurred something in him, and he went looking for a real family and place to call home. after excelling in his initiation trials, he found one with the great khans. for two years, he was their resident rancher, runner, therapist, you name it.
then: 2278. the bitter springs massacre. teddy was away when it happened, and he still hasnt forgiven himself for it.
he spent the next three years drifting - again. hunting NCR. somehow racking up bounties in seemingly every single tribe in the mojave. his infamy, believe it or not, helped him survive: when he came across those who would kill him or turn him in, they seemed to prioritize who got to turn him in and collect the bounty over keeping themselves alive. whoops!
it was exhausting, though. drifting, killing, taking on the wasteland completely alone (except his beloved animals) took a heavy toll on teddy. he'd always been a killer and an outlaw, but he'd always been paid to clear other people's consciences. now, he felt he was only killing people to run from the consequences of his own actions. it was exhausting.
so, when three strangers – one in a loud, black-and-white checkered blazer – tried to knock him out and bind his hands, well… he had no reason not to let them.
*aint that a kick in the head starts blaring*
fun facts
hes not a big chem guy but hes such an alcoholic. in game he keeps at least 10 whiskeys on him at all times but would prefer to drink a sarsaparilla over using a stimpak.
he needs glasses pretty badly for his one seeing eye but he’s too stubborn to wear them
his scars always look a bit irritated because he doesnt take care of himself
he was a big pistol guy before benny shot him, but after he went blind in his aiming eye and started suffering from bouts of dizziness, he became a shotgunner. they require a far-from-perfect style of aiming

Sodom and Gomorrah: A Speculative Meta
on Ao3: Sodom and Gomorrah: A Speculative Meta
Sodom and Gomorrah is the story of a land so steeped in sin that many prayed to God for intercession, and God sent two angels to see for themselves if the rumors were true, and determine based on their testimony whether the cities should be destroyed.
In Season 1, we learn that Sandolphon was there, doing a lot of smiting and turning people into salt. The way that Aziraphale talks about it, we are led to believe that he was there too, bearing unhappy witness to the destruction, his plastered-on smile faltering as his vision fades into the middle distance:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In this meta I am taking an alternate stance to the wonderfully presented interpretation by @queerfables in my speculation of what happened in Sodom and its relevance to the GO story arc overall, if canonized. I hope that readers will consider the merits of both arguments in their own formulations of Aziraphale and Heaven in the GO universe.
TW: discussions of homophobia, sexual assault, death & destruction
Verses are taken from this translation of Genesis, chapters 18 and 19.
Genesis 18
20 Then the Lord said, “The outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is so great and their sin so grievous
21 that I will go down and see if what they have done is as bad as the outcry that has reached me. If not, I will know.”
(Notably, the allegations made against Sodom and Gomorrah are never discussed. It is simply left at “sin so grievous.” Though it seems like there may be more information in Genesis 12)
But God herself did not go down to Sodom, instead sending two angels. I, like queerfables, read this and quickly came to the conclusion that for GO narrative purposes, the two angels that God sent to Sodom were Aziraphale and Sandolphon, where the former is playing tour guide to the latter, who has the real authority in the situation.
Upon arrival, the angels are met by Lot; he invites them to stay with him. At first they refuse, saying they will stay in the square, but he insists.
Genesis 19
4 Before they had gone to bed, all the men from every part of the city of Sodom—both young and old—surrounded the house.
5 They called to Lot, “Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so that we may know [have sex with] them.”
There is a lot of baggage to unpack from these two lines, especially in the 2023 context of politics in the Western hemisphere. Same-sex marriage is nearly ubiquitous, a near turnaround from only twenty years ago, but so is homophobic rhetoric, and the story of Sodom and Gomorrah is cited a lot for those purposes. Intersectional communities of faith have done a lot of work to try to reinterpret these two verses, insisting that what God finds so abhorrent about the actions of the men of Sodom is not that they are homosexual but rather that they are attempting to gang-rape two newly arrived strangers in their city.
For the real world, this is a very important discussion and a solid position to maintain, if one wishes to defend the concept of a benevolent God who made homosexual, bisexual, transgender, and every other flavor of human as lovingly and intentionally as was made every cisgender heterosexual person.
But we’re not talking about real-world God. We’re talking about the God in Good Omens. And She is not a very nice person.
We have only to look at the contract that would allow the murder and then replacement of Job’s children, or the abject poverty under which Elspeth suffers that forces her to commit [apparent] atrocities, and ultimately drive her to attempt suicide. Whatever your feelings may be about the God of our shared meatspace, the God of Good Omens is not a character we are meant to admire, sympathize with, or make excuses for.
Returning to Sodom in the Good Omens universe.
I propose that it is thematically in keeping that the men of Sodom were not attempting to commit gangrape, but rather, they saw Sandolphon and fell in love on the spot. Because yes, Aziraphale is a fine scholarly-looking fellow, but it’s approximately 2000 B.C., the Bronze Age. Sodom and Gomorrah are most likely agrarian societies, and Sandolphon looks like he could throw a bale of hay like a javelin. He’s a whole lot of man, and the men of Sodom are into it. I mean, c'mon, Paul Chahidi in some biblical garb, is, uhh...
Tumblr media
...not an eyesore, iykwim. [image source: imdb.com]
So they go to Lot’s house and ask if they can see this man, in hopes that they can ask him on a date. They are smitten by Sandolphon. Sure, the ultimate goal may be to have sex with them, but not right there on Lot’s doorstep, and the gross misquoting can be attributed to Sandolphon’s own libelous report of events, not to the Sodomites themselves. History is written by the victors, after all.
While we’re at it, let’s consider Lot’s response:
Genesis 19
6 Lot went outside to meet them and shut the door behind him
7 and said, “No, my friends. Don’t do this wicked thing.
8 Look, I have two daughters who have never slept with a man. Let me bring them out to you, and you can do what you like with them. But don’t do anything to these men, for they have come under the protection of my roof.”
In the true spirit of Good Omens comedy, I can envision Lot walking out among these men, complaining that not one of them has asked permission to court or marry either of his daughters of maritable age, and perhaps rather than simping for his houseguest, perhaps they would consider dating one of them instead. Is it homophobic? Sure, but I’m not here to defend Lot; he doesn’t need it. Because standing next to Sandolphon, he’s an absolute poppet.
(The remaining stanzas regarding the Sodomites breaking into Lot’s house, I am going to selectively set aside and chalk that up to Sandolphon blowing some Sodomite choice statements about Lot being a homophobic asshole way out of proportion.)
Sandolphon, a True Believer, is not about to stand for this insult to his heavenly purity. Angels do not have relations with humans, and to insinuate that he would even consider it is blasphemy. He takes it as a personal insult that the Sodomites would propose such a thing. He finds this to be evidence enough that the Sodomites are truly corrupt and worthy of destruction.
I feel the need to emphasize here that while this contains some distinctly queer themes, Sandolphon is not angry because they are men; he is angry because they are human, a different species from himself (in the same way that angels are different species from demons), and furthermore that anything resembling love the way humans do it is disgusting and vile to him.
Aziraphale, meanwhile, is standing helplessly on the sidelines, desperately trying and failing to de-escalate the situation. But it’s no use, Sandolphon has already made up his mind. There’s nothing left for Aziraphale to do but to try to save as many people as he can, beginning with Lot and his family.
Genesis 19
12 The two [angels] said to Lot, “Do you have anyone else here—sons-in-law, sons or daughters, or anyone else in the city who belongs to you? Get them out of here,
13 because we are going to destroy this place. The outcry to the Lord against its people is so great that he has sent us to destroy it.”
Again, in the fashion that GO takes liberty with biblical narrative, I propose that it is Aziraphale alone who warns Lot that Sandolphon will destroy Sodom come sunrise, and sends him out into the night to gather his family and get them out as quickly as possible. I propose, additionally, that Aziraphale is the one who leads Lot and his daughters by the hand out of Sodom and then protects the village of Zoar from destruction so that they can take shelter there.
Genesis 19:
15 With the coming of dawn, the angels urged Lot, saying, “Hurry! Take your wife and your two daughters who are here, or you will be swept away when the city is punished.”
16 When he hesitated, the [angels] grasped his hand and the hands of his wife and of his two daughters and led them safely out of the city, for the Lord was merciful to them.
17 As soon as they had brought them out, one of them said, “Flee for your lives! Don’t look back, and don’t stop anywhere in the plain! Flee to the mountains or you will be swept away!”
18 But Lot said to them, “No, my lords,[or singular, lord] please!
19 Your[singular] servant has found favor in your[singular] eyes, and you[singular] have shown great kindness to me in sparing my life. But I can’t flee to the mountains; this disaster will overtake me, and I’ll die.
20 Look, here is a town near enough to run to, and it is small. Let me flee to it—it is very small, isn’t it? Then my life will be spared.”
21 He said to him, “Very well, I will grant this request too; I will not overthrow the town you speak of.
22 But flee there quickly, because I cannot do anything until you reach it.” (That is why the town was called Zoar.[“small”])
While yes, this is a fictional interpretation of a biblical scripture, let’s take something from the fact that Lot is supposed to be addressing two angels, but the pronouns he uses to do so are all singular in the original Hebrew: that is to say, it seems like he is only talking to one angel. So in the victor-edited retrospective, the story is written to seem like two angels were rescuing him, but from the faithfully quoted words of his own mouth, it was only one. It seems like Sandolphon tried to write himself in as one of the good guys but couldn't bring himself to actually change the words that were coming from Lot's mouth. (Again, this is unnecessary work to do for the biblical narrative to be molded to a GO narrative, but it is an interesting feature of the original text nonetheless.)
At sunrise, the destruction begins:
Genesis 19
23 By the time Lot reached Zoar, the sun had risen over the land.
24 Then the Lord rained down burning sulfur on Sodom and Gomorrah—from the Lord out of the heavens.
25 Thus [S]he overthrew those cities and the entire plain, destroying all those living in the cities—and also the vegetation in the land.
26 But Lot’s wife looked back, and she became a pillar of salt.
So goes the story of the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah: The cities are slandered before God, who sends Aziraphale and Sandolphon to investigate; Sandolphon is so incensed by human men flirting with him that he determines that the city shall be destroyed in the morning, and Aziraphale races against the clock to save as many as he can, knowing that he cannot save everyone. He bears witness as the men who resemble himself so much, who committed no greater crime than to seek out a forbidden love, perish in a rain of fire and brimstone. He must feign heavenly delight that a sinful blight was erased from the world, while mourning thousands of lost souls. He wonders if they have been sent to Hell. Even Lot’s wife, whose only crime was to question, to wonder what is behind her and perhaps regret leaving it behind, is turned to salt. He sees the vicious glee of Sandolphon exacting his revenge for the crime of impugning his celestial celibacy. He wonders what Sandolphon would do to him if he ever found out about the stirrings in his heart for a demon who, 500 years prior, had sat beside him on a rock, looking out over sea, comforting him as he nursed his wounded faith. He wonders just how far along with Heaven he can go, and what the consequences will be when he dares to say, “I will go no further.”

For those who (like me) are interested, the story of the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah seems to have been merged from two historical events, which was common in a period preserved primarily by oral history. The tale seems to resemble a volcanic event that occurred nearby and around that time, but Sodom and Gomorrah were most likely destroyed by an earthquake and a subsequent flood, since they were located in the Jordan Plain, the lowest dry land in the world, a full quarter of a mile below sea level at its lowest, and very near the Dead Sea. Additionally, the area is rich in bitumen, sulfur-rich near-surface petroleum deposits that, when disturbed by a major earthquake, may have sent hot tar flying into the air, which if it landed on anything flammable would give the impression that fire and brimstone were raining down.
✨ the more you know ✨
~~~
Blending together the biblical canon and archaeological speculation, I'm going to make a wild, unsubstantiated proposal that Crowley turns the people of Sodom into fish so that they survive the flood. Because one biblical flood was enough, and he'd heard around the water cooler that She had promised not to do that again (lying liar). This creates a tentative connection with the raining fish we see in the title credits of both seasons, and I'm also going to reference it in an upcoming meta.
John 5:4
THE TOWER HAS BEEN REACTIVATED
Tumblr media
So I guess that is for "Earth" and then "Alecto" and then "Harrow". It's interesting that this little secondary story does not actually tell us anything about where the name "Alecto" came from. Was it a name that John gave to her? Or one that she gave herself? Given John's obsession with the name Gaia, I would have thought he'd pick that
Tumblr media
You've proven over and over again that no one should trust you with anything, dude
Tumblr media
Harrow mentions "waking up" as being a separate thing from resurrection again later, but it's not clear what this means at either point
Tumblr media
Are you telling me that John made them forget everything just by doing something physical to their brains and Mercy the anatomy expert who definitely figured out what Harrow did to her brain after only a few months never figured this out in 10,000 years? I cannot believe that
Tumblr media
This makes it sound like the other planets were already populated before John destroyed everything. So how did those people die? Did just killing the planets cause that to happen? Did John kill all the people on the planets in addition to the planets? I figured that at least the technology to make the other planets habitable had come from after the start of the 10,000 years, but apparently not even that was invented during John's regime, the whole society has just been completely static the whole time. This is straining suspension of disbelief here
Tumblr media
There's no way they decided they wanted to do whatever John did with Alecto, because until the end of Harrow the Ninth, all of the Lyctors thought Alecto was just someone that John resurrected who came back wrong, they didn't realize she was Earth, and they definitely didn't realize she was John's cavalier, that was the whole point of the reveal at the end of the last book
Tumblr media
So confirmed that John only created the Lyctors so that they would be roped into fighting the resurrection beasts for him. And then he talks about ripping his fingers from his hands and throwing them to the resurrection beasts, but what he really means is sacrificing his friends so that he can continue on
Tumblr media
Oh my god, I don't think I've ever been this mad about someone misinterpreting a bible story before. The whole point of the flood story was that God said, oh, no, this was a terrible mistake, I'm so sorry, I promise I will never destroy the world again no matter how bad it gets. The point was not that the world was evil and needed a "fresh start", the point of the story was that destroying the world just because there are some evil people there is wrong. And like, this isn't a one-time lesson in the OT, either, it comes back again in the Sodom and Gomorrah story when God wants to destroy the cities because there are some bad people there and Abraham has a big argument with him and argues him down to agreeing to spare the cities if there is even one good person there other than Lot and his family. This was like, character development for God, he went from someone who destroyed the whole world because of some bad people and he is learning and relenting and getting some perspective from Abraham. And then later you have the story of Jonah, where now it's Jonah who wants the city destroyed, and God is lecturing him about why that's not right. Like, to the extent that the OT, which was written by like four or five different people with very different ideas of who God was and then frankensteined together by an editor hundreds of years later actually has a coherent narrative and consistent themes, this is pretty consistent. How does someone who grows up with these stories fail at understanding them so badly? How is it possible for someone who probably has advanced degrees to have such shit reading comprehension? This is the most infuriating thing John has ever said in these entire last two books
Tumblr media
So this is what she meant by "where did you put the people" at the end of the last John chapter. I would guess the answer is either that he actually consumed all of their souls for power somehow, or that their souls are somewhere generating power in some way. I guess this probably won't be answered until the fourth book
Tumblr media
The "tower" that's been menitoned... but it doesn't seem like this is meant to be Canaan House, as people have indicated on previous posts, and at least in this case it seems to be something that's in the River, or maybe she is just travelling through the River to get there?
Also, since this is the last John chapter, I have to ask, for poll-making purposes: Is it ever clarified in this book or elsewhere which country was the one that hired John to puppet around their dead head of state?
God’s Judgment on the Ungodly
1 This letter comes from Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ, and James' brother. I am writing to those who are called and loved by God the Father, and who are kept safe by Jesus Christ: 2 May God's mercy, peace, and love increase in your experience!
3 My friends, I was already looking forward to writing to you about the salvation that we share. But now I need to write urgently to you and encourage you to vigorously defend the truth about God, given once and for all time to God's holy people. 4 For some people have quietly crept in among you. They were written about and condemned a long time ago, for they are wicked people who pervert God's grace, turning it into a license to immorality, while also denying our Lord and master Jesus Christ.
5 Even though you already know this, I want to remind you that though the Lord saved his people out of the land of Egypt, later he still destroyed those who disbelieved. 6 Even those angels that were not content with their God-given positions but abandoned their rightful places—he has placed them in eternal chains of darkness until the great Day of Judgment. 7 In just the same way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the towns nearby that pursued immorality and perverted sex are provided as an example of those that experience the punishment of eternal fire.
8 Likewise these dreamers pollute their bodies, disregard authority, and insult heavenly beings. 9 Even the archangel Michael, when he was arguing with the devil over Moses' body, didn't dare to condemn him with a slanderous insult, but said, “May the Lord rebuke you.” 10 But these people ridicule whatever they don't understand; and what they do understand they instinctively follow like unthinking animals—this is what destroys them. 11 They're in terrible trouble! For they have followed Cain's way. Like Balaam and his delusion, they have abandoned themselves to the profit motive. Like Korah and his rebellion, they have destroyed themselves. 12 These people spoil your fellowship meals, for they are selfish shepherds that don't have the slightest sense of shame—they only take care of themselves. They're clouds blown along by the wind that bring no rain. They're bare trees without fruit—twice dead, pulled out by the roots. 13 They're violent ocean waves, foaming in their own disgrace. They're false stars, doomed forever to utter darkness.
14 Enoch, seven generations on from Adam, spoke prophetically about these people: “Look! The Lord is coming, together with thousands and thousands of his holy ones 15 to judge everyone, to reveal all the wicked things people have done, and all the terrible things hostile sinners have said against him.” 16 Such people are grumblers, always complaining. They follow their own evil desires, speaking boastfully about themselves, and flattering others to get what they want.
17 But you, my dear friends, please remember what you were told by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ. 18 They explained to you that in the last times mockers would come, following their own wicked desires. 19 They cause divisions; they are worldly people who don't have the Spirit. 20 But you, my friends, are to build yourselves up through your trust in God. Pray in the Holy Spirit, 21 keep yourselves safe in God's love, and wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ who brings eternal life. 22 Show kindness to those who doubt. 23 Save those you can by snatching them out of the fire. Show mercy—but with great care, hating even the “clothing” that is contaminated by sinful human nature.
24 Now to him who can keep you from falling, and who can bring you into his glorious presence without fault, and with great joy, 25 to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, power, and authority, before all time, now, and forever. Amen. — Jude 1 | Free Bible Version (FBV) The Free Bible Version is a project of Free Bible Ministry; Copyright © 2018, Free Bible Ministry. All rights reserved. Lost Fic #147
1. hi! im looking for a fic i read AGES ago, the idea was that gabriel came to the bookshop and confronted aziraphale about being in love with crowley (gabriel could sense it, i think) and aziraphale panicked and kicked gabriel through the shop window into the street and got him run over by a truck and discorporated . thank you sm 😭 - @zepuffer
2. Hello, I’m not good with words. But I really do love your blog. You do a great job running it. 💕I’m looking for I fic where Crowley is tempting god to smite him by causing problems. If I remember correctly it ends with Crowley falling in love with Aziraphale, and God saying something along the lines of “there you’re smitten.” - @hermittheecadie
3. I need the help of the GO hivemind. There is a fic(or possibly a chapter in a fic) that I am trying to remember. In it, whenever Aziraphale wants to see Crowley, he creates a disaster so the demon will come to his rescue. In this fic, he was the one responsible for Sodom and Gomorrah, and the story had him destroying what is heavily implied to be Atlantis. Thank you for any help. - anon
4. Hello, wishing the best for all the mods. Do you by chance know of a particular fic where Hell won armageddon, and Aziraphale ends up as a slave under Crowley? There's a collar given to slave angels that shocks them if they disobey commands. As far as I remember the fic rating might be NR/M/E. Thank you >< - anon
5. I'm not sure you can help, but I'm not sure where else to even look anymore.A fic was deleted from AO3, and I don't know how to find it on Archive.org or FanFiction.net without more to go on.Crowley finds out about Aziraphale's plan to trick the Nazis a couple weeks before it's to happen. He begs in prayer for the ability to survive walking into a church, to save Aziraphale.He then builds up as much immunity as he can, starting with lesser consecrations and working his way up. He saves Aziraphale. Then he goes into a kind of horrible fevered shock from the injury, and, more to the point, from disbelieving his and Aziraphale's love.There's another angel involved. I want to say the name was Qaphiel, but I can't remember for sure.Did any of you by chance come across it and know the title, or some other information I can use to find it archived?? - @embervoices
If you know any of these fics please include the number in your reply! Thank you :)
"The law will do many things to see that justice is done. Your poverty, your family, the circumstances, none of it matters. The important thing is that a man broke a law. He has a choice, and shouldn't break that law again. Instead, he can go on relief and become a living shell, to be scorned and ridiculed even more. One of my teachers once read from St. Matthew, Chapter 5, Verses 3 to 12: "Blessed are the poor in spirit for they shall inherit the Kingdom of Heaven." Our class discussed this, using Native people as examples. I became very angry and said, "Big deal. So us poor Halfbreeds and Indians are to inherit the Kingdom of Heaven, but not till we're dead. Keep it!" My teacher was furious and looking at me said, "Verse 13: 'Ye are the salt of the Earth but if the salt have lost his savour wherewith shall it be salted? It is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out and to be trodden underfoot of men.'" Then she closed the book and I had to kneel in the corner holding up the Bible for the rest of the afternoon. It was her favourite punishment. My arms would be sore but I dared not let that Bible fall, for her wrath was worse than Sodom and Gomorrah. I used to believe there was no worse sin in this country than to be poor."
so you know my fic Prodigal of Lazarus? I'm investing a lot more into it.
There's a sequel being plotted called Prodigies of Gomorrah where it's Jason & Danny-centric at the beginning, starting from the events where chapter 3 of PoL leaves off, and it'll go along the plot from Danny and Jason's povs rather than batfam and damian's all the way until beyond the end of PoL where Under the Red Hood's events (but is turned canon-divergent) happen.
i decided to separate that plot and arc because i can't keep extending the fic, this was originally supposed to be just 5 chapters WHAT HAPPENED TO MY 5 CHAPTERS.
And there's even another fic in the works where i focus on the fluff of PoL's universe because I had a lot of scenes retconned for the sake of not dragging the fic (dude there are like 8-13k words per chapter). Progeny of Sacrifices is gonna be my fluff outlet despite how un-fluffy the title sounds.
i also decided to separate this plot from the first fic because THE WORD COUNT IS TOO LONG i dont want the fic to be so DRAGGING but also i wanted to get the chapters over it so i can read it for myself
And you know what I'm gonna call this series? Paradigm of a Family.
Hell I already am calling it like that right now:
Wake up "christians"......God is trying to tell you something.
This 👆 is not the worship of Jesus. This is the worship of lucifer. God tried to show you in the covid lockdowns that he is NOT in the churches. Jesus is NOT the head of an assembly that is controlled by the government, the government is the head of that assembly. Liquor stores open open, but churches closed. God is trying to tell you to come out of it and worship him in spirit (John 4: 23-24 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.)
God ALLOWED his temple to be defiled and destroyed by the Babylonians to prove a point, he ALLOWED it to be defiled and destroyed by the Romans to prove a point. It is NOT about the building, each of us is the temple. It's time to take your temple out of the world.
And I can hear it now. "Pray for America" "Save America, Pray the Rosary".
I WILL NOT!! I will pray for judgement!!!! I will pray for the wrath of God because we deserve nothing short of it. Churches every 5 miles, Christian TV stations going 24/7, catholics boasting about their numbers and this world moves closer and closer to Sodom and Gomorrah each day. God has written ICABOD over the entry of every church and if your time comes while you still in it, you will stand accountable for it.
