Instead of the “Jason vs Percy” rivalry we should have gotten Annabeth vs. Jason but instead of a fight for power it’s them having a battle of autism cause their special interests were Greek myths vs Roman myths.

Jason calls a Greek god by their Roman name and Annabeth pops up out of nowhere and goes “erm, actually”

percy has so much casual trust in poseidon and i dont think he even realizes it

like. its just so casual and natural that you barely even notice

imagine everyones the argo 2 and are like ‘so should we fly?’ and they all turn to jason whos like: idk if my dad will like if we fly, especially either nico (son of hades) and percy (son of poseidon), so percy, would we be able to go on the ocean? and percys: oh yea my dad wont let anything happen, he doesnt really mind that jason (son of jupiter) and nico (son of hades) are here, when i sailed with annabeth (daughter of athena) he didnt try to hurt her or anything, so yea we’ll be good

and everyone else is just. flabbergasted about how casually percy puts like. full trust into his father, without a second (maybe even first) thought

then they meet poseidon after the war (and after he talks to and helps percy) and they realize why

cuz hes just. so much more chill than they thought hed be. like he doesnt even blink at percy and nicos friendship and is even like ‘so you tell are getting along better now? thats great and brilliant keep up the good work (i love you two), and with annabeth he pats her on the back: annabeth, dear! you did great on your quest, youre (bitch ass) mother hasnt said anything about it, but i have a good feeling shes proud (i am too. i love you). and with the rest of the seven he just. doesnt give a shit /pos. like: yea ik you kinda left my son to fall in tartarus and i am still kinda pissed about that- but hey you seem like you all get along fairly well so who gives a shit (he does. so much)

and the rest of the seven are like. hey. hey percy. do you. do you realize how much your father cares about you.? and percy, with the shittiest self esteem ever is like: well yea he does, a bit. but i dont think its that much

meanwhile poseidon is so close to adopting all of percys friends (thalia nico and annabeth mostly) with shitass parental issues and trauma bc if percy cares and loves for them, then if sally taught him anything, he can too dammit

It’s definitely been mentioned before but I love the idea of the 7 + Nico on the Argo II just doing dumb kid/ teenager stuff??? Like yes they’re all powerful demigods on a dangerous quest but they’re also a group of teenagers (some as young as 14) with ADHD and minimal adult supervision.

You’re telling me during a quiet shift on night-watch Leo and Frank didn’t snicker whilst daring each other to spit off the side of the boat?? Like imagine Percy and Jason having a game of ‘who can yell this dumb phrase the loudest without laughing’, or Piper and Annabeth borrowing Hazel’s drawing equipment to do ‘portraits’ of each other, or Hazel and Nico both awake at 3am making crazy concoctions with the unlimited food in the ship’s cafeteria. Meanwhile Coach Hedge is running around yelling stop it shut up don’t waste perfectly good pancakes building a food castle

You’re telling me no one packed a deck of cards for this journey? They didn’t have a single UNO tournament?? They didn’t all set up their sleeping equipment in the mess hall for a sleepover one night???

just wanna see more of pjo character's efforts to heal the environment, since it's a part of so many character arcs. give me grover ordering nature spirits around the world to bring about a change in the number of trees. give me someone dumping trash into the ocean and turning around to see percy cracking his knuckles cause this random guy is hurting his fish friends. give me percy making a storm in an arid land to bring it back to life so that grover can plant trees. give me annabeth making a consistent effort to use sustainable materials in her buildings whatever it takes. and growing up to give lectures to architectural companies about it. give me rachel making her father's company eco friendly, and using the money her father spends on her to donate to organisations. give me piper who advocates for the kind treatment of animals in farms.

LEO, BEING the fireboy he was, loved summer. and living in texas, it was always heated as HELL. he loved the heat of rodeos, the kisses of the sun on his chocolate skin, even the flowers that bloomed during the season.

and he got to wear more tanks.

and so did (name). she loved the idea of going on a roadtrip to the beach, the fruity popsicles in the morning, the digi pictures. she loved everything about summer.

so on the first week of summer, (name) arrived at camp half-blood with only a sling bag over her shoulder for the summer. leo stayed all year, since, he didn’t have much of a home to go to anyway. in a way, camp half-blood was his home.

and leo was in charge of new campers that year, with will being busy in the infirmary and all.

and among the new campers, was a girl with the brightest smile he’d ever seen.

after the tour, leo had grown determined to talk to the girl on the bus. seeing her face gleam at the sight of her new siblings as she passed by apollo’s cabin, of course she was an apollo kid. he thought to himself as he chased after her figure.

“uh, excuse me!” he yelled after her. she turned, smiling. “hey! you’re the tour guide!!” she exclaimed as leo ran closer. “yeah, — uh, sorry, but, i didn’t get your name.” he extended his hand for her. “(name). you are?”

“leo. pleasure.” he winked.

and from there, the two had started talking, flirting, until leo had grown the fire to ask her out.

IT WAS deeper into the summer, (name) watched as leo tinkered, his goggles over his eyes. “leo, don’t you think you could take a break??” she ran her fingers through her hair.

leo stopped his tracks, “i’m sorry baby. just another minute.” he glued his eyes to his project. (name) mentally groaned, he’d been saying another minute for two hours now. when would he be done?

the heat getting to (name), she grew frustrated and stormed out of bunker 9. “wh— (name), where are you going?” he took his goggles out of his face and placed them on top of his head. “i’m wasting my time here leo, i’m goin’ out.”

leo’s face scrunched, “wasting your time?” (name)’s breath hitched. “no sorry— that’s not what i meant.” leo scoffed. “oh i know exactly what you meant. sorry i’m wasting your time.” he trailed his eyes back to his hands, putting his goggles back on.

(name) huffed, finally exiting out without another word escaping her lips.

leo hours after, realizing his mistake, he cursed himself under his breath and went out to look for her. he looked around the cabins, the beach, before the cabin forty’s garden. there, he found her mingling with the persephone’ children and their garden.

there was the smile he fell in love with.

“sunshine?” he called, everybody’s stopped their tracks. after the children of persephone’ decided to give them their space, (name) flashed him a smile. “sorry.” she spoke. “no— no, (name), i’m sorry, i was stupid, and i should’ve been true to my word.” he took her shoulders.

(name)’s breath hitched. “but i shouldn’t have stormed out like that.” she replied. leo smiled, kissing her forehead with a gentle press of his lips. “what’s that?” his eyes glazed over the flowers in her hands. “the cabin forty’s flowers!” leo’s eyes gleamed.

“come here.” they criss-crossed on the grass and (name) began to pluck the flowers and placed them one-by-one on her boyfriend’s honey brown hair.

leo watched her hands move around his hair and the tongue she stuck out as she concentrated. he giggled to himself, “you look very pretty under the sun mami.” he smiled. (name) mirrored his giggle, “thank you.”

there were many colors of flowers, purple, yellow, pink. it was all very colorful. he’d never do this — as it would hurt his poor precious ego as the tough firebender of cabin nine. yet, he made an exception.

after a few minutes later, he had a flower crown on and a few petals in his hair. “you look so pretty!!” she exclaimed. leo scoffed, “was it not pretty before?” he shot. “oh no, you’re very pretty.” (name) teased with a laugh. leo laughed with her, holding her hands in his own.

it was hot yes, so we’re leo’s hands, but (name) didn’t care.

“i love you sunshine.” — “i love you to the sun and back.”

jason and piper chuckled under their breaths as the flower-covered leo walked by. “this is why you guys never worked out.”
