The Three Caballeros as the Three Wise Men along with their nephews as shepherds visiting the Savior - Duckverse in History - My Version
"And going into the house, they saw the child with Mary his mother, and they fell down and worshiped him. Then, opening their treasures, they offered him gifts, gold and frankincense and myrrh."(Matthew 2:11)
I haven't done Three Caballeros for a long time, but since the survey showed me to draw Three Caballeros, it will be.
Yes, in the Bible, more precisely in the New Testament and the Gospel according to Matthew, three wise men (according to some three kings) who are supposedly astrologers and magicians, went to visit the Holy Land to bring gifts to the Savior, that is, Jesus Christ who was born in Bethlehem, in stable, swaddled in a manger by his mother Mary. The three wise men brought them gold, incense, and myrrh. And those wise men are called Gaspar (or Caspar), Melchior, and Balthasar. The symbolism of the three is very well known so I used that for our heroes the Three Caballeros to be in those roles. Except in the Bible, they are not mentioned anywhere else, so it is uncertain who is who. Donald is Gaspar and wears gold, Panchito is Melchior and wears myrrh and Jose is Balthazar who wears incense, at least in my version or how they play the part. And they take it to the Savior Jesus Christ. I drew them wearing traditional clothing as worn at the time of Jesus' birth (1st century BC and 1st century AD) in Judea, in the Middle East. Donald is said to be from Persia, Panchito is from Yemen or Arabia, and Jose Carioca is from Ethiopia, which is where the three wise men supposedly came from.
Besides them, I also drew their nephews, Donald's nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie Duck and Jose's nephews Zico and Zeca Carioca as shepherds, that is, they play the role of shepherds. Luke's Gospel from the New Testament mentions that the angels told the shepherds to come and worship the Savior and the shepherds went to the Savior and worshiped him. So both Donald's and Jose's nephews will go and they are wearing shepherd's clothing as worn at the time (yes even though they are teenagers and these versions are from my version of the Quack Pack, they are still wearing the clothing of Jesus' time). There are also sheep and lambs from the Middle East accompanying them, and the wise men riding a camel and an elephant standing behind them. And there is the Angel Duck (to take from Donald's Better Self who is Donald's conscience and Donald's guardian angel) who leads them to the manger where the Lord Jesus Christ is. Glory to God who was born and who came to save us from our sins! Amen.
And I'm sorry if I offended you with something and it's not my intention to do so, this is just a drawing and some alternative and playing cosplay. Yes, the Three Wise Men are celebrated on January 6, ending the Christmas season, and with this I also marked the 800th anniversary of the Christmas Nativity tradition, which was introduced by the Catholic saint Francis of Assisi, the founder of the Franciscan order, who did it in 1223. Once again I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year as well as a Happy Epiphany! And sorry about some things I did wrong in this drawing and just to say that I am a believer and I believe in God the Savior! And yes, I'm not the only one who drew the Three Caballeros as the Three Wise Men, there are already those drawings on the subject, I just did it in my own way.
I hope you like this drawing and feel free to like and reblog this!

Duckvember - Human, Loved and Nude Duck (Ducks) - Donald and Daisy as Adam and Eve and Gladstone Gander as Michelangelo's David
No more old Ducklooney. XD Joking aside, I've always had a love for history and good old art, so I drew on these leftover themes from Duckvember as redraws from famous works.
The first drawing represents Donald and Daisy Duck as Adam and Eve, as the first humans, that is, as the first ducks. According to the Book of Genesis from the Bible, Adam and Eve lived in Paradise, that is, in the Garden of Eden, until they took the fruit from the tree of knowledge and were then forced to leave Paradise. Yes, they obeyed the Serpent, or Lucifer, who prompted them to commit the first sin and disobedience to God. Whether the red fruit is an apple or a pomegranate or something else, it is not known, but I certainly drew it as a red fruit that represents the fruit of knowledge, as I also drew the background of Eden, and represented the snake as Evronian (an enemy alien duck from the Paperinik New Adventures comics) , since they are certainly evil. Yes, I also drew as a redraw from the genius artwork painted by Tony Fernandez, one of the genius artists for Donald Duck comics. Poor Donald and Daisy, what have they gotten themselves into.
Another drawing presents Gladstone Gander as the Human Duck, in the pose of Michelangelo's David. David was a Biblical figure and king of Israel who reigned in the late 11th and early 10th centuries BC and was the writer of Psalms, Biblical songs. Michelangelo Buonarroti, who was an excellent Renaissance artist in the late 15th and early 16th century AD, created a statue of David from 1501 to 1504 and that statue represented the power of the Medici family. I always imagined a sexy Gladstone so I drew him as Michelangelo's David standing in Florence as a future statue pose. Although I have not managed to draw a fully human duck, although Gladstone is half goose, it is still strange to me that even though ducks look more humanoid, they have fully human legs. Anyway, this is my first time doing this, so I apologize for that. Yes, I put a shell, because I don't like to show indecent body parts, and it should be censored for children.
This is a joke after all. I hope you like these drawings and these ideas and surprises like this. Feel free to like and reblog this. And it is not allowed to use such ideas without my permission and without mentioning me.

According to Disney Duck Lore, Sir Eider McDuck, one of Scrooge’s ancestors, was killed in a Saxon siege after his serfs abandoned him due to his stinginess; He gave them crossbows without arrows.
Another ancestor of Scrooge’s, Sir Quackly McDuck, was attempting to hide some valuables by sealing them behind a wall in a secret room, but forgot to stand on the outside of the room and sealed himself inside.
And yet another ancestor, Sir Roast McDuck, broke into a King’s pantry and ate himself to death.
I’m just thinking...

"And if you ever get a war without blood and gore / I'll be the first to go"; An Exploration of Draft-Dodging Activity in DuckTales Characters
Abstract
Obviously we're all asking ourselves this question: Would Scrooge McDuck be a draft dodger? I endeavor to answer this question to its furthest extent, and to expand upon these implications and the potential actions of his comrades were they in danger of being drafted.
Some notes:
It is past my bedtime and this is probably significantly less funny than I think it is but I'm a history major who knows slightly more about this topic and the "duckverse" as it were than I probably should; additionally, I am using this as an opportunity to pretend that I'm not supposed to be reading Descartes right now. god i love my life
listen to Draft Dodger Rag by Phil Ochs for the full experience. I too have a wracked up back, am allergic to flowers and bugs, get epileptic fits when the bombshell hits, and am addicted to a thousand drugs.
if I get canceled for this at least I'm going out with a bang
I said ducktales in the title as an attention grabber but I'm not working exclusively with dt17 characterization or context. I'll probably use what I know best which is the shows and a smattering of American comics
im american obviously
"what war are they drafting for" idk maybe it's peacetime maybe It's a wwii scenario maybe [elroy patashnik voice] It's Vietnam Baby! maybe I'm making shit up idk use your imagination don't think about this too hard or take it too seriously [<- guy who spent 3+ hours writing + read an essay about Thomas Hobbes to put this together]
Scrooge McDuck
Okay so. Obviously he is technically elderly and also has bad eyesight so like he wouldn't have to. Let's ignore these factors because it's way more fun.
For at least half his life Scrooge has the funds to discreetly buy his way out of military service. However, it is a well-distinguished trait of his that he refuses to use his wealth as a ladder to success. Given this, it is easy to conclude that he would use his hardworking grit or whatever and con his way out of the draft the good old fashioned way. He could fall back on any existing or faked conditions but I'd prefer to think he'd end up doing something round-about and ridiculous because it would be way funnier.
Additionally:
Tumblr media
if my meaning is caught here.
Conclusion:
Tumblr media
dodger
Goldie o'Gilt
Any and every iteration of Goldie can and will dodge the draft by any means necessary. The more dastardly, the more fun it will be for her. She will bribe an official. She will seduce an official. She will claim conscientious objector status despite having little-to-no qualms about violence [citation needed]. Barks' Goldie will be so so so sad and pitiful and say think of the orphans. 1987 Goldie will shoot any government official who tries to come collect her. 2017 Goldie will do whatever is most entertaining to her at any given time.
[Footnote: Maybe she's Humphrey Bogart in Casablanca. idk]
Conclusion:
Tumblr media
wholehearted dodger
Bentina Beakley
(Within 2017 context) this question is difficult for me to answer. Yes she is old. No she is not physically unfit. No she is not huge on deception. Yes she loves rules. No she probably is not excited about the government or the military. Yes she is, it you will excuse my being so blunt, a girlboss.
My conclusion?
I know she's an elderly British woman but Bentina Beakley IS Captain America
Conclusion:
Tumblr media
Not a dodger
Huey, Dewey, and Louie
In the time of Vietnam my grandparents may or may not have snuck drugs to someone so that when the government went to do their medical examination this person was having wacked up symptoms and they were presumed to be unfit for service. Barks' triplets especially would be doing this sort of thing all over the place (see "Gladstone Returns" (1948)). The 1987 triplets could be convinced to act similarly.
The 2017 triplets may also do this, but it would inevitably play out differently, as former incarnations of HDL have generally relied on them as a unit to interact with other characters and plot elements, while the 2017 boys' strength is largely in their interpersonal dynamics; as such, there would be significantly more push-and-pull between the three of them narrative-wise. I could theorize further but I don't really feel like it.
Suffice it to say: No but only because they're perpetually twelve.
[Footnote: the Quack Pack (1996) triplets are more likely to be in the running for the draft (they're old enough to drive by the time the show takes place, so they're likely 16 or 17. The US conscription cutoff was lowered to 18 in 1942. They had better be damn careful). As Huey explained his plans to get out of military service, Louie would say, "Do you guys ever think that by conning our government we're breaking the social contract we've created with our sovereign authority and actually betrayed the self-preservation we're claiming to protect, much like Thomas Hobbes outlined in his 1651 novel Leviathan?" at which Huey and Dewey would look at each other and then say "what's your point" and that would be that. For the purposes of this exercise you may exclude them from your rankings now.]
Conclusion:
Tumblr media
Not dodgers but only by technicality
Gyro Gearloose
Much like Leon Theremin Gyro would be pulled from a gulag and forced to create devices to aid the USSR cause.
[Footnote: if i remember correctly the USSR killed all the scientists and or put them in gulags and then got confused when they didn't have any scientists to help them against the US in the cold war. lmao.]
[Secondary footnote: Yes that was the guy who invented The theremin. he also invented a listening device that was hidden in the white house]
[Tertiary footnote: Gulag kermit]
Conclusion:
Tumblr media
Not a dodger but mainly on threat of death
Flintheart Glomgold
yeah
Conclusion:
Tumblr media
Dodger
Gladstone Gander
Gladstone would dodge the draft if he had to but his luck would result in his lottery never being pulled and/or the government losing his profile. Donald would be so fucking mad.
Conclusion:
fuck I ran out of space for pictures. I'm doing some of these out of order [dodgeball.jpg]
Dodger but on a technicality
Fethry Duck
Fethry is perpetually a college student and also (points to beatnik archetype) probably stoned out of his mind at all times. I claim the "addicted to a thousand drugs" clause.
Conclusion:
dodgeball.jpg
Dodger but not maliciously
Launchpad McQuack
I haven't watched Gomer Pyle since I was like 10 and I remember almost nothing from it but I feel like that would be his experience
Conclusion:
rosie.jpg
Not a dodger
Webbigail Vanderquack
she is 12 years old
Conclusion:
rosie.jpg
Not a dodger
Donald Duck
I'm saving my favorites for last. I know you've all been waiting for them. here are the Duck twins
Tumblr media
2017 Donald I'm gonna be real I'm not really sure. 1987 Donald joins the military on purpose. Quack Pack Donald would really really really not want to and would probably try to dodge in the saddest most cowardly ways possible (I support him). he could and would fake an injury, any of those old cartoon-esque tricks. I feel Barks Donald may fall into this category as well.
Donald is Schrödinger's serviceman; he both is and is not a part of the military at any given time. Like the gods of old, his mythos transcends the limits of many labels and characteristics. He would love to serve his country; he hates doing things for other people and being told what to do. He feels a sense of duty; he is beholden to no one but his hammock.
[Footnote: Here the author would encourage the reader to ponder the wonders of homosexuality in the American Navy of yore. Okay cool moving on]
Conclusion:
Tumblr media
man idk
Della Duck
Della would have no qualms about resisting the draft. Drawing on the Phil Ochs song for inspiration, possible methods include:
being 18
(pretending to have) bad eyesight
flat feet (all ducks have flat feet....)
asthma
getting a boyfriend
poor old invalid aunt (read: claiming to be caretaker for scrooge, who is soooo old and frail and can't be left alone, come on guys)
college student
working in a defense plant
allergic to flowers and bugs
addicted to a thousand drugs
Additionally,
Straight up just not showing up when conscripted
Claiming to be homosexual (she doesn't have to be lying)
Convincing the medical examiner that she's hysterical
Bribery I guess but it's kind of tactless
Becoming pregnant with triplets
HOWEVER.
and I have considered this extensively.
her ass would join the air force. like for funsies. now to be honest this is like a really really really bad idea in war time because if you've ever looked at the statistics (I have) "As Donald L. Miller writes In *Masters of the Air*: "By the end of the war, the Eighth Air Force would have more fatal casualties—26,000—than the entire United States Marine Corps. Seventy-seven percent of the Americans who flew against the Reich before D-Day would wind up as casualties.""
like. not a great choice
[Footnote: at this point my thought process is almost entirely centered around the 40s]
As a result I feel that Della may let herself get involved in the war effort in some capacity (ie nursing (she would hate this), working in a factory (she would hate this), being a test pilot like the WASPs (she would love this but everyone would hate her bc she's reckless and insane), or being an air force pilot if able. she would do this to be sooooo bisexual
Tumblr media
generally speaking I feel the second that she was put into active combat or got bored she would desert immediately
Conclusion:
cupcakeinthemiddleofabarrenwasteland.jpg
Deserter!
In closing,
I spent three hours compiling this and I have more thoughts that I could have added but left out for the sake of brevity (ie thoughts on Daisy and the USO)
I'm sorry that I think draft dodging is funny it runs in my family idk
war is bad
not a huge fan of the draft either
big fan of Phil Ochs though. my mom makes me perform that song when we have guests over
scrooge mcduck says don't trust the government. or do I'm not your boss
this concept got out of hand so quickly. so quickly.
I hope this post is not a cancelable offense but if I go down for speaking the truth I'll do it with my head held high
I am going to go eat microwave ramen [it is midnight and I have to leave at 8:30 so I'm really cutting it close here]

Duckverse June Week 1: Storytime
I think this will be fun to get into! And since I can’t really draw, I’m gonna write my own short pieces revolving around the prompts!
So now for the first one. I give you…
I Go Where the Sky Takes Me
“Oh, yeah, this is the life,” proclaimed Launchpad.
“You said it,” agreed Dewey.
It was a beautiful day in Duckburg. The two friends were sitting beside the pool, sitting in beach chairs and drinking lemonade.
It was the kind of day where you couldn’t see a cloud in the sky, where it looked like the blue could stretch on forever. Launchpad, in particular, liked to just look up at sky sometimes. It didn’t matter to him whether it was day or night; he just really enjoyed it.
“Wow,” he said. “You know, Dewey, when you’ve been flying for as long as I have, the sky just looks completely different when you’re on the ground.”
“Doesn’t seem that different to me,” Dewey commented.
“Trust me, you’ll know when you see it someday,” Launchpad proclaimed. “When you’re an awesome pilot, like me or your mom.”
“Well, I hope so!” Dewey chirped. “So tell me, Launchpad. What’s it like having been a pilot for so long?”
“It’s kinda crazy to think about sometimes,” Launchpad replied. “Since my whole family has been in the flying biz, I was pretty much born in the air. Well, actually, I was born on the ground. But yeah, piloting has just kinda been in my blood.”
“Do you get to see your family often?” Dewey wondered.
“Nah,” sighed Launchpad. “Mom checks in every once in a while, but Dad’s usually busy with his stunts. They’ve been trying to get him to retire for some time, but he always says, ‘If you want me to step down, you’re going to have to pry the controls from my cold, dead hands!’”
“What about your, uh, sister?”
“Loopey’s a stuntwoman herself, and she works alongside Dad quite a bit,” Launchpad explained. “When she and I were kids, Mom and Dad loved taking us to whatever air show they were performing at. It’s really kinda how our love for piloting developed.”
“What shows have you gone to?” quizzed Dewey.
“Oh, lots. Mom and Dad took us all around the country. We’ve seen nearly every trick in the book. We’ve even been to shows in other countries, like France, the United Kingdom, and even South Korea,” Launchpad reminisced.
“Any that stick out to you the most?” asked Dewey.
“Well,” said Launchpad, drumming his fingers on his leg, “there was a show we went to when I was 10 in North Cawolina. Mom and Dad told us that after they were done, they’d take us somewhere special. So after the show, the four of us went to this park. It had a couple of hangars, and this huge monument. Dad explained to me and Loopey that we were standing on the location where the first sustained, powered aircraft was launched in 1903. It was made by these two brothers, and they actually took a few different tries at it before the plane was damaged. The longest flight was just under a minute.”
“Just shy of a minute?” Dewey questioned. “That’s not super long.”
“Well, seeing as the brothers were basically the first to do what they did, that’s pretty successful. Especially with how flimsy the craft was,” Launchpad explained.
“That’s cool, though,” Dewey interjected. “You were actually where the first sustained flight happened.”
“I’ve probably got some stuff somewhere in the garage from that trip,” Launchpad grinned. “A bunch of photos, plus this biplane clock that Dad used to own. Wanna go check it out?”
“Of course!” exclaimed Dewey.
And with that, the two friends, empty glasses in hand, set out towards the garage to find the box full of Launchpad’s memories of aviation history.

my OC Violet, so one day I was looking at pictures of ducks that have these black marks on their beaks, and my thought process was like "aww wouldn't it be cute if there was a Duckverse character with these little marks, wait I'm an artist :0 " maybe i'll talk more about her one day, but my oc's most of the time don't have much history, they're just there and looking cute

How about Granny De Spell and Rosolio?
Okay so Rosolio isn't really interesting - he's Caraldina's apprentice and he's in love with Magica. Also he's allergic to Ratface.
Granny/Caraldina/???? is much more interesting.
In the 60s, Magica had a grandmother named "Granny De Spell" or Nonna Amelia in Italian (yeah even though Magica's Italian name is Amelia, idk don't worry about it).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
She's a retired witch who taught Magica everything she knows - and obv she's from the canon where Magica and Madam Mim hung out all the time. I don't like thinking about humans in Duckverse so I usually ignore this kind of canon BUT it's fine we're just talking about the big picture
Granny Amelia appears in a bunch of comics, none of which ever came to America but a lot of them have official english translations in Australia. I couldn't find them so idk any details about them but these are also the comics that Samson Hex comes from, he's a (teenage?) apprentice of Magica's:
Tumblr media
From what I can tell, Granny Amelia doesn't do much in most of her comic appearances. She's mostly just there for commentary or guidance and she's always in this weird canon with Madam Mim.
Now InDucks and some of the Duck wikias have this wrong, but the blonde "Granny De Spell" / Caraldina that we see in the same comics as Rosolio and Minima is a different character.
Tumblr media
She's an Italian creation and a lot more fun and dynamic than Granny Amelia up there, plus she fits better into modern duck comics (where there is no Madam Mim lol). Her comics were mostly from the 90s, though I think she's made a few appearances in the 2000s. Not a lot.
As with Minima, she's cursed (thanks to Magica) and trapped in a magical dimension for 77 days at a time, and is only able to escape for 33 hours each time. She doesn't seem particularly bothered by it, but she guilts Magica about it everytime she sees her.
More recently I assume they dropped the curse concept (or it was lifted) and she just appears whenever she wants. In her most recent appearance, Magica came to stay with her for a bit because of some trial with seven other volcano-themed witches (this comic looks great and I definitely want to scanlate it sometime but of course it's super long lol)
Tumblr media
Anyway so these are Magica's two grandmothers. I like to think Amelia De Spell is probably Magica's mother's mother ('cause of being so magically powerful), and Caraldina (who I don't think has ever been referred to in canon as a 'De Spell' and though she's magic, she's not as notable as Amelia)* is Magica's father's mother.
Why is Magica a De Spell, then, you may ask? Well it only makes sense that in witch marriages, men take the women's last names. Especially a name like De Spell, with a history of powerful witches...you don't give up a name like that for marriage.
And we saw in Origins of a Witch that Magica's father was just a normie while her mom was a powerful witch, so I think him taking her last name is sensible.
*I haven't been able to read all of her comics, but the ones I have just call her Granny or Caraldina afaik.
Anyway Magica's grandma history is complicated. The author who created Caraldina specifically said Caraldina is not Amelia, but they're still listed as the same character in a lot of places. But they have literally nothing in common physically or personality-wise, so idk what's up with that.
We could also just consider that they are both Magica's Granny De Spells, from different timelines or canons or whatever. Especially since Granny Amelia is from a canon that doesn't really exist anymore, she's very easy to ignore. But that'd be mean so I'll keep her it's fine.

Mickey Mouse and Oswald the Lucky Rabbit as Romulus and Remus, as the founders of Rome - Toon History - History in Duckverse and Mouseverse - Happy Birthday to the Best City!
Yes, it's time to change my plans now with my new project called Toon Historia, also History in Duckverse and Mouseverse in which our famous cartoon and comic characters play famous historical figures and will play in important historical events . And first I drew Oswald the Lucky Rabbit and Mickey Mouse as the founders of Rome, as Romulus and Remus. Romulus and Remus, according to Roman mythology and Roman tradition, were the sons of Rhea Sylvia and the god Mars and grandsons of King Numitor. Numitor's brother Amulius overthrew his brother and ordered the execution of his children, including the sons of Sylvia who were thrown into the Tiber River. However, according to legend, a she-wolf found them and raised them until the shepherd Faustulus came along and adopted them. Afterwards they grew up and when they heard the truth, they went to overthrow Amulius and succeeded and restored their grandfather Numitor to be king of the city of Alba. Afterwards, Romulus and Remus went to seven hills in the valley of the Tiber River and there on April 21, 753 BC they founded the eternal city, which will be called Rome. Yes, there was a conflict between the two in which Romulus killed his brother (a tragic event) and thus took the title of the first king of Rome.
Oswald and Mickey who were created by Ub Iwerks and Walt Disney in 1927 and 1928 also became the first Disney icons, however the conflict between Iwerks and Disney resulted in Oswald being part of Universal, until in 2006 Disney bought the rights to Oswald. Yes, that's why I drew Mickey and Oswald as Romulus and Remus, because of that parallel, but don't worry, Mickey won't kill his brother, even though mice and rabbits are not the same species, they are still considered brothers because of Epic Mickey. As Romulus and Remus were the founders of Rome, so Oswald and Mickey were the founders of the new world.
I drew this last year, but I waited for this moment to publish now and I drew it as a redraw from an illustration by Tancredi Scarpelli (1866–1937) for Storia d'Italia by Paolo Giudici (Nerbini, 1929). I drew Mickey in my own style, while I left the old look for Oswald, because I still like him better with dot eyes. And yes, I drew this on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the creation of Disney as well as the 75th anniversary of Topolino magazine, which is published in Italy, and the capital of Italy is definitely Rome. Yes, Rome, the eternal city and capital of one of the greatest empires and greatest civilizations of all time. As well as related to the birthday of the City of Rome, which is celebrated on April 21 every year. Happy Rome Day! Roma Aeterna!
I hope you like this drawing and this idea and if you want to support feel free to like and reblog this! I just ask that you don't copy my same ideas without mentioning me and without my permission. Thank you! Happy Rome Day, my favorite city in the world!

7 AM EST readers:
(TL;DR under the cut.)
First, thank you for being here! I sometimes take you for granted, both as a creator and a fellow fan.
Second, I want to set the record straight on something that keeps coming up: 7 AM EST PREDATES "The Duck Knight Rises," as well as "Let's Get Dangerous." In fact, 7 AM EST PREDATES any appearance of Darkwing in DuckTales.
Let me explain...
A rumor started spreading while DuckTales was still airing that in that universe, Darkwing was a TV show. And that's all we knew! Me, being the meta-verse loving little gremlin that I am, was thrilled by this rumor and immediately began to write my own AU of this exact premise, where Darkwing was a TV show. But, instead of putting it in the DuckTales universe, I put it in the Darkwing universe. You see, not long after DuckTales began airing, I became curious about the "Darkwing" show, and, well, what can I say. After watching "Darkly Dawns the Duck," I was hooked. Full disclosure: I only watched the first season of DuckTales or so because I was too busy watching Darkwing and writing my Darkwing-As-A-TV-Show AU.
Later, when "The Duck Knight Rises" finally aired I wasn't surprised, of course, by the whole set up. I'd just written the exact same thing myself, and was planning a sequel! I was enamored by the new designs and the possibility of having Drake fill the Darkwing shoes, but it felt inauthentic to me. It felt more like fan service than something the writers were planning on running the long game with. Like, it wasn't a new canon, like it was their own DuckTales-centric Darkwing AU. Which, I guess it was.
And yes, like the rest of you, I watched "Let's Get Dangerous" a dozen times after it aired, and I got emotional every time. That episode proved to me that the writers (despite what they did to Launchpad) did genuinely care about OG Darkwing, thru just didn't have the space to give him his own, proper pilot. (I mean "pilot" as in the first episode of a show, the episode that "gets it on the air." I also mean Launchpad.)
And that's... pretty much where my DuckTales adventure ended. To this day I have only seen the first season in completion, and bits and pieces scattered around. I know the basic plot points, and I went back just recently and finally watched the finale for the first time, but that's it. DuckTales was a bright, innovative passion project for a lot of people, and built a new generation of fans.
And I still prefer Darkwing.
So, all of that being said, here's my point: 7 AM EST is first and foremost a Darkwing Duck AU. I took the OG show, the OG characters, and the OG world, and put my spin on it. DuckTales 17, by and large, has exactly 0 influence on the lore, history, or story. Yes, there are DuckTales characters in 7 AM EST, there have always been and always will be crossover among the Duckverse. And yes, I took their DuckTales 17 versions because on one hand, I've never seen the OG DuckTales, and on the other hand, I like them all! A lot! And and yes, I hint at or shout out DuckTales 17 story. However, a package of lore and characters from DuckTales I'll never bring into play is their version of Darkwing or Drake, or anything relating to them. (with the Very Obvious exception being the designs because COME ON those are some great designs. But if you'll notice, "The Studio of Darkwing Duck" features all the original designs because, again, THE NEW ONES DIDN'T EXIST YET.) This means, no, I'll never include Jim St*rling. I didn't like him when I first saw "The Duck Knight," and I still don't.
TL;DR: 7 AM EST is a Darkwing Duck AU with some nods and crossover with DuckTales 17, but PREDATES anything Darkwing related in DuckTales. Any of the lore, history, characters, or story relating to Darkwing in DuckTales will not influence or appear in this AU.
And that goes double for Jim. Stop. Asking.
Instead, go watch some OG Darkwing! I know it's cringe and outdated, but it's still worth the watch.

Duckvember - Yucky, Diner, Zealous, Community, Tranquil, Brother and Curious Duck (Ducks) - Thanksgiving Day and the meeting of the Pilgrims with the Native Americans in Duckverse
I'm late, and sorry for that, but I wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! Yes, it is celebrated every fourth Thursday in November (in the US), while in Canada it is celebrated on the second Monday in October. If anyone remembers my drawing from last year: https://ducklooney.tumblr.com/post/702120382036131840/duckvember-rural-holiday-and-shy-duck
Yes, and it follows on from last year's drawing, but with a different outcome, as it depicts this as a celebration of the First Thanksgiving, which took place in November 1621, when the Pilgrims thanked the Indians for taking care of them and giving them food during the strong last winter. And here you can see Native Americans and Pilgrims celebrating the day together, with me drawing them as ducks. And the Pilgrims ducks provide food that they prepared for the Native Americans. And yes, it's like my redraw from the genius artwork by American painter Jean Leon Gerome Ferris who painted the first Thanksgiving. Since not all the characters fit in one drawing, I made a separate drawing of the kids playing, throwing mud, chasing the turkey, and enjoying Thanksgiving. Although I know that this holiday causes controversy, I must again emphasize that the mishaps between settlers and Native Americans were not as pronounced in the 17th century as they were in the 18th and 19th centuries.
Yes, the first drawing shows Native American Donald and Daisy Duck, while the Pilgrims side shows Donald, Daisy and Della Duck wearing 17th century clothing. Another drawing features mischievous Huey, Dewey and Louie who are both Native Americans and Pilgrims, Webby Vanderquack and Honker Muddlefoot as Pilgrims and Gosalyn Mallard as a Native American. And there is also the unfortunate turkey and the Bolivar dog that came to America, although Bernadine dogs are only mentioned in the second half of the 17th century.
I hope you like these drawings and once again Happy Thanksgiving! If you like these drawings, feel free to like and reblog this!
