Was there going to be a main villain? And what would the story have been about after the "Moving to a New House" Arc?
The conflicts of interpersonal relationships would have been the “villain” most of the time. A few big bads (like Kingsley) would pop up here or there but The intention of my comic was to be about these people living together. Experiencing growth, heartache, loss, tragedy, miracles, learning to live and love together. And by the end of it, everyone growing closer and being like family to each other.
Yeah sometimes there were a few Kingsleys, C.O.F.E., and at the end a giant skeleton of the ender dragon brought back using magic forces everyone to come together Endgame style. But they were never the point.
After the Homearc I was going to jump into a comedic comic that centered around Techno, and everyone banning him from eating potatoes bc that’s all he has.
The Dream Team arc was going to focus on how the dream team met each other, as well as going through all of the story beats that led up to Sapnap’s exile, which is the next arc.

Review The Memory of Babel (The Mirror Visitor #3) By Christelle Dabos
Expand to read the review
I read the German version, translated by Amelie Thoma
The English version is not published yet, and the cover has also not been revealed yet (although it will most probably look like the French one, but with the English title), so I chose the original French cover.
Spoilers below for book 1 and 2.
After being sent back to her homearc Anima, Ophelia did not hear from her friends for nearly three years, and is close to going crazy from the isolation from the people she loves, when suddenly, finally, she gets the opportunity to leave Anima. Following the only hint she has, she decides to go to the arc of Babel to find out more about this God and the history of the world, and to hopefully find Thorn. But yet again, she has to realize that she knows a lot less than she thought she did, and that she is lost in another hostile world. To reach her goal, she has to grow stronger than ever before...
Again, I really loved this book. Christelle Dabos really could write a book about every arc in this world, I would probably read them all. I love how she lets us explore those beautiful worlds, how every world is so distinct, and how there really is no “good” and “evil”, just people trying their best to survive and to reach their goals. We see this again, and it forces us to overthink our opinions about certain people again and again.
Talking about our opinion about certain people, Ophelia did not convince me as much as usually at the beginning. I had the feeling that she had lost every bit of growth she had gained in book 2, which is really sad. Thankfully, she gains it back later, but I missed the woman we saw at the end of the last book, the woman that had her own head and made her own decisions while still thinking logically. We see glimpses of it, yes, but overall she seems a bit more childish again. Especially in the way she thinks and acts around other people, but I will not say more about that, because of spoilers.
Her growth is amazing, though. At first I thought it would maybe, maybe go back to where she was, but she actually grows even more, and I hope she keeps that growth this time, although I’m quite certain she will. Not only does she grow characterwise, but also in her skills, which is very nice to see.
Also, of course, we get introduced to a lot of new characters, but never in a way that would be overwhelming. I especially like little Victoria, Berenilde’s little daughter, and I am thrilled to know what happens next with her and her special abilities.
In conclusion, I really liked this book. It was a tiny bit too slow-paced in the middle, in my opinion, but it has an amazing ending. Sadly, though, I really missed the growth Ophelia had in book 2, even though she grows back to it later in the book. Still, 5 points from me, it’s an amazing book, with a beautiful world, and I would really recommend this series to everyone interested in Fantasy and worldbuilding.
