HYUGA CLAN HEADCANONS
The Hyuga never had a problem with Naruto, but they were cautious of how open association with him could impact the clan given how hated the boy was.
Prior to his death, Hizashi Hyuga was one of the Anbu who watched over little Naruto, under the codename of Owl🦉.
Naruto's nickname for Hanabi is ”Little Firecracker,” which she pretends to hate, but she actually loves it.
Hinata & Hanabi are extremely ticklish.
Most of the Hyuga, Hiashi included, bet on Naruto to win when he fought Neji but never admitted it.
Many Hyuga are perverts because the temptation to peek and peep with their byakugan rivals the Uchiha's temptation towards power.
The caged bird seal the Hyuga used to enslave the side branch was originally invented by the Uzumaki clan to keep incarcerated criminals in line and swiftly end prison riots.
The Hyuga knew about Ao's byakugan eye the whole time.
Hiashi entrusted Kurenai with Hinata because she reminded him of Hinata's mother, which he'll never admit.
The Hyuga have a betting pool.
They find it amusing that people mistake them for being blind
The Hyuga clan enjoys hearing about the antics of Naruto, Konohamaru & Anko
Hinata & Hanabi's mother was besties with Kushina, Tsume and Mikoto.
Hiashi was almost considered for the position of 4th Hokage.
Hiashi acts cold towards Hinata in public to keep up appearances, but in private he's a big ole softy who loves her and makes sure she knows it.
Hiashi and his wife were among the few who knew Kushina was the Kyuubi Jinchuriki and that she was expecting a child.
They'd be perfect medic-nins with their exceptional chakra control and byakugan.

What do you think about hinata
Hi there, anon.
I don't really have an elaborate opinion about her, I don't give her many thoughts, actually. She is mostly irrelevant to me.
She was born from the enslaver branch of her family, something that can't really be blamed on her. As a kid, I don't think she was clever or deep enough to understand the position of privilege she was in, her brain was apparently equipped barely enough to fangirl Naruto. So, when people trash her for not empathising with Neji, really, I see their point but I can't really blame a child for the crimes of adults.
As an adult she clearly had a responsibility to end slavery in her clan. Some people claim she has no power as she is not head of her clan, but I am sure her Hokage husband can give a hand. Konoha pretends to be unwilling to meddle in private clan affairs, but we know they indeed do so when they find it convenient. So I don't want to hear any excuses, we see her (them) doing nothing, so I can't respect her (them) at all. I wonder what the Hyuga people from the side branch are thinking or doing right now... I think they are in need of a revolution against those parasites...

The Hyuga clan stuff makes no sense.
Ko Hyuga is apparently a main branch member, but Hizashi, Hiashis twin brother and therefore the son of the former clan head, is not. You are telling me that the twin brother of current clan head and child of former clan head is not, but this random Hyuga is?
By the traditions explained in the manga of the main branch/side branch we get during the Chunnin exams either Hinata or Hanabi should be sealed, depending on which one of them becomes the next clan head. And since Hinata was basically disowned it would most likely be her. And this all also basically implies that the only people who are a part of the main branch are former clan head, current clan head and their heir (the next clan head). But apparantly not because Ko Hyuga.
The Hyuga clan just needed so much more focus and development to make this all make sense. And like I have seen people try and makes sense of this with explanations like Hiashi and Hizashi were twins or the treatment of men and women being different. And like this is interesting, but it’s just assumptions, nothing of this is actually established in the text and it doesn’t help with making sense of the whole situation since it’s not established canon. We don’t know what Kishimoto was thinking, and most likely he wasn’t. And like considering Kishimotos track record with the story it’s probably just unintentionally inconsistent like with most things in Naruto.
Sorry, for ranting. The Hyuga clan just derserved so much better and I think it’s one of the biggest examples of wasted potential in the manga. Like theres just so much potential for different plotlines and interesting characters and we just got nothing.

omething to bring up with Hizashi's death. It very telling how Hizashi was never celebrated or treated as hero for his ""sacfrice" ( he didn't have much of choice). It again shows that Hiruzen and co see The Cadet Branch members has been expendable and their lives and personhood don't matter at all to them. Its clear Hiruzen sees the Cadet Branch same the Main Branch does, they are inferior and lives are to be thrown away for their "betters".
Hiruzen's view of the secondary branch of the Hyüga is no different from his perspective on the general shinobi population. The secondary branch is, almost without a doubt, the one sent on the most missions outside of Konoha (since they possess the seal, which I debated its effectiveness here); while the main branch stays within the village.
Hiruzen does not interfere in internal clan customs or policies unless he deems it necessary for the protection of Konoha or its political system; Hiashi's death would set a dangerous precedent because it would leave the management of the second most important clan in Konoha in the hands of an untalented heiress. There is nothing to guarantee (or dispute, for that matter), the loyalty of an oppressed branch that suddenly finds itself without its greatest oppressor.
Of course, to say that with Hiashi's death, there are no more oppressors is fallacious since several members of the main branch can perform the jutsu.
It's unknown what the reason for Hiruzen's presence inside such a meeting was, likely he was there to be aware of the Hyüga's curse of action as the matter touched international affairs between Konoha and Kumo, with whom they had just signed a peace treaty (a peace treaty Kumo broke, but likely Konoha didn't have enough military power to retaliate).

you know, i think tenten will also give them good luck charms for protection like how she gave her tsunade-sama one in sd.
she totally would, with her penchant for fortune telling, she’d handcraft three good luck/protection charms and give them to each of them.
I like to think she gives them to each of her team at different times.
Lee gets his first, after Tenten overhears him telling Gai-sensei about how he has almost lost hope in his dream to beat Neji.
“Perhaps just hard work isn’t enough,” he sobs to Gai-sensei as Tenten walks away, her heart heavy. She hands him a little good-luck charm at training the next day, a carved dragon, quietly telling him that he should never lose hope.
Neji may be a genius, but Lee is a genius of hard work, and she will protect his boundless hope until he achieves his dream. Perhaps it comes from a place of selfishness. After all, Tenten is no genius herself, and Lee’s hope is her hope too.
Or maybe it’s not selfishness, but relatability.
Whatever it is, Lee thanks her with a huge hug and many, many tears. Tenten protests loudly, but deep down, her heart swells.
He always keeps it in the hidden pocket of his jumpsuit, and never forgets to take the charm out before washing it. He shows it off with pride to everyone, much to Tenten's chagrin.
Gai-sensei receives his next, after both Tenten and Lee end up in the hospital after the Chunin Exams.
After Tenten is healed, she finds her sensei standing over a sleeping Lee, tears rolling down his face. He immediately puts on an act when Tenten walks in, but she knows what she saw, and it weighs on her.
The next day, when Gai-sensei pops into her physical therapy to check on her and offer some good old Gai-sensei encouragement (motivational shouting), Tenten pulls him aside. She hands him a small charm she’d made the previous night, a little wood turtle carved with the symbol for luck.
“Don’t worry sensei, the people you care about will always be okay!” She smiles brightly at him as she sets the charm in his hand. “It’s for protection—”
Gai-sensei’s thanks is also in the form of many, many tears and shouted declarations of his sweet lotus flower’s kindness and compassion. Tenten’s response, as usual, is loud and embarrassed protests, and a secret smile muffled in Gai-sensei’s broad shoulder as he hugs her tightly.
Gai keeps his charm in the safest pocket of his jounin vest, going as far as to ask Genma to give him a seal to make sure it never breaks or gets damaged. After all, his lotus gave it to him so he could protect her and her teammates, and he would rather die than let her down.
Neji is the last to receive his charm, after his fight with Naruto in the final round of the Chunin Exams. He sits in the hospital room and tells her about everything, his clan, his uncle apologizing to him, his restored faith in the future.
"I will change my clan," he insists to her. "I will better it, for all of the Hyuuga."
The next morning, through the rubble of a torn-apart and betrayed village, in the wake of the Sandaime Hokage's death, Tenten walks to the Hyuuga compound dressed in her mourning clothes and deposits a small carved phoenix charm in his hand.
"What's this for?" he asks, turning the charm over in his hand and studying it.
"Good fortune, protection." Unlike the rest of Team Gai, Tenten always keeps her stories to herself. For some reason, she finds the words tumbling out of her. "My mother used to make them for me. They were for protection and good luck."
Neji nods. He runs a thumb over the carved bird's wing. "Protecting what?"
"My hopes, my well-being, whatever it was she thought needed to be protected."
Neji finally looks up at her, understanding filtering through his gaze. Tenten turns around, ears burning. "Come on, let's go. They'll kill us if we're late to the funeral."
Neji stows his charm in the pockets of his clothes and jogs after her.
Several years later, when Lee surpasses everyone around him, his taijutsu a shining beacon of his hard work and dedication, he is ever aware of the wooden dragon in his pocket, the way his hope is a reflection of Tenten's. He vows to work harder, to prove to her that she can do it just like him.
He will protect her hope too.
On the battlefield facing down Madara Uchiha, Gai quickly moves the little turtle charm to the pocket over his heart. To protect the village, to protect his precious students, he can do anything.
"Eighth Gate of Death, release!"
As medics work to stabilize Neji in the emergency tents, they find a blood-soaked phoenix charm clutched in his hand.
His full recovery is nothing short of a miracle.

  Nights were a blessing of sorts, with any and all sounds of the day drowned by the daunting sudden darkness of the world. The Hyuga compound became quiet after a certain hour, and his brain could rest.
  Hizashi could focus on spending time with his son, who enjoyed telling him all about his day and friends at the academy; he made everything worth it. Document after document, training after training and the elders were still a pain in the ass even after he had been the Clan head for years… Neji was his guide in the fog, somewhat.
  They would stay up later than they should solely to read together– his son had an insatiable hunger for books of whatever kind, and they’d share their thoughts about what was in their pages whenever it was possible. That’s what they had been doing before bed, finding a way to make sleep come easy at them no matter how stressed they were.
  It was their daily routine. Yet something was… off.
  The man could feel an unknown presence in the compound, a chakra he had never sensed before, and an unwanted feeling invaded his chest– Hizashi opened his eyes due to this, observing his surroundings with a wary gaze.
  The guards tended to take care of any intruders, yet the stranger was quickly making their way towards his home. Precisely going to Neji’s bedroom, sneaking… Hizashi got out of bed in no time, running towards the adjacent room without wasting time. Perhaps it was his tired mind playing tricks on him again, yet all he was met was by an open window and an empty bed.
  “Neji, is everything alright?” he called to no avail, leaning towards the curtains to maybe get a clue of what was going on. The silence was deafening, and a shadowy figure leaving the scene made adrenaline run through his veins.  “Dove! I’m coming!”
  Hizashi jumped from the open window, adrenaline flowing through his veins as he ran through the compound, running through labyrinthic paths between houses just to keep track of the intruder– a quick glance at the guards showed him they had fallen asleep on the ground, possibly due to the unknown person and one of their jutsus. The man couldn’t stop his path to think, making a mental note to check on the guards later on.
  His Byakugan helped him keep track of the kidnapper, who seemed to be lost in the compound– or perhaps they were playing tricks on him, for there were more than two unfamiliar presences nearby. Clones…
  Though, only one of them had a small boy in their arms, and the stranger didn’t think to clone Neji. Defeating them was easy enough(albeit, Hizashi killed them in his rage), and his son didn’t even realize what was going on… he was breathing, yet unresponsive. It was odd, though the Kumogakure band on the kidnapper’s forehead was enough of a clue.
  And if his memory didn’t fail, it wasn’t any ninja– they were important. Oh dear, he would have to deal with an enormous diplomatic mess…
~
  He almost decided to cover the truth, though it would be hard to explain a dead body in the yard. Kumo had been staying for a couple of days in Konoha, to make some agreements or something like that– they had shown their true colors of the meeting last night, to obtain a Byakugan for themselves.
  Though, it wasn’t like they were going to admit it. A small reunion between the elders, Lady Hokage and himself was held to discuss the matter, trying to find a solution of sorts.
  “Kumo wants justice for the death,” Minato informed, her eyes looking at the ground as she spoke. “They want your body, Hizashi…”
  “Nonsense! All they want is your Byakugan!” one of the elders argued, rolling her eyes.
  “It’s their fault for kidnapping the heiress!” another person chimed in, and Hizashi scoffed– they kept messing up about Neji, not willing to respect his identity no matter what.
  He wouldn’t allow that, even if his son wasn’t present.
  “The heir. And… there must be a way to solve this mess,” Hizashi replied, letting out a long, long sigh. “We don’t want another war.”
  There were more and more arguments between the people present, and no conclusion was obtained in more than half an hour. Until someone remembered  Hiashi– his identical twin. Nobody would notice the difference between the two.
  Even if it would mean losing his brother… the Clan head refused to accept that, although his twin was called into the room while he wasn't paying attention.
  "Hizashi, it's okay. I'll do it," his brother said with a sad smile on his face, and Hizashi could feel a hand carefully placing itself on his own– Minato said nothing, yet she was trying to support him in her own way.
  "It's not fair to you. You– you don't deserve this!"
  Silence. Nobody dared to speak, not even the bossy elders or Lady Hokage; it was a matter between the two, one that must be solved without anyone else interrupting them.
  And with a whisper, his twin broke the tension, still trying to reassure him.
  “... Do you remember what I told you all these years ago, when my fate was sealed on my skin?” Hiashi said, letting out a long sigh before continuing. “‘The loser should serve the winner, and you shouldn't feel guilty of that.’ My point still stands, Hizashi. It’s my duty as a member of the Side branch to protect you… my duty as a brother. Let me protect you.”
  “But– Hiashi…” Hizashi muttered, though his mind was blank, devoid of response.
  His twin was right and, in his place, he wouldn’t think twice before doing the same. He wanted to cry, though it wasn't correct while being the leader of a Clan. Hiashi seemed so sure of his decision… and the elders were looking at them expectantly, ready to sacrifice someone they deemed worthless.
  “I’ll write a farewell letter for my daughters, then you can do whatever you need to me,” his brothers told their spectators, and Minato looked away, also not too convinced of the idea. “They deserve to know what’s going on.”
  After that, less than an hour passed and Hiashi was ready to go. A last embrace between the twins, and Hizashi’s heart became shattered as an old mirror, just by seeing his brother’s permanently closed eyes– finally freed from the mark on his forehead.
  The Side branch was always the one to be hit the most, ignored by the Main branch unless convenient for them. Or when they wanted things that… they wouldn't do it to another person.
 It was unfair, and his brother died believing it was right. Hizashi felt sick to his stomach as he took his nieces in, both being too young to understand what was going on.
  “Uncle? When– um, when will father come back?” Hinata asked, her big eyes burying themselves on his own, worry showing in her gaze. She had a cloth covering her forehead– covering her cursed seal. It pained his heart even further.
  How was he supposed to explain a permanent absence to such a little child? That it was his fault that her father was gone, and he wouldn’t return at all? Hizashi felt his heart shattering in a million pieces as he hugged the girl, who was too confused to return the gesture.
  “... Hanabi and you will stay with me for a while,” was all he said, looking away. “Your father has an important mission to attend to. I’ll… explain it to you when you’re older– but know that he’s the bravest man of them all.”
  A little smile appeared on his niece’s face, and suddenly the letter on his pocket became as heavy as a mountain, wanting to be given to its righteous owner. Hizashi tried to ignore the feeling before going to pick up his other niece, already making mental plans on how to make up a room for the two girls.
  Neji wouldn’t mind sharing their home… perhaps. But new rooms were needed immediately.

boruto rewrite where the show actually still focuses on the original characters from naruto, but we're seeing them face their struggles that come with being adults in the society they live in and after going through what they did. their children are also in the show and we're given their perspective on the events compared to their parents'.
the overall plot revolves around naruto trying to change the shinobi system. he knows first hand how terrible the repercussions are when children are forced to be soldiers, and now that he's the hokage, he finally has the power to change it.
the only problem is, not everyone agrees with him. many believe by changing the age that shinobi begin their training, they won't be as strong later on and the village will become weaker over the years. not only that, but some people just don't understand why naruto feels this way. they were shinobi all their life and they turned out just fine — why fix what isn't broken?
it causes conflict within the cast and allows us to delve into each character more, showing why they feel the way they do and how their experiences have built up to the person they are.
besides that, other characters get their own storylines as well that connect with the theme of recovering from trauma.
gaara realizes that he's only ever lived for his village — as a soldier, a weapon, the kazekage. he works himself to the bone for his village while ignoring his basic needs, still having not realized he's a human just like everyone else. when he gets shinki, he realizes what it's like to prioritize something; what it's like to nurture and love.
sakura works at a hospital for young shinobi, doubling as both a healer and a therapist of sorts. she listens to the children tell their stories and gives them a shoulder to try on. she saw what being alone did to her teammates and she doesn't want any other child to go through what they did.
during her time at the hospital, she slowly begins to see pieces of herself within her patients. her trauma, which she's always pushed away and ignored, starts to come out. she's forced to face these memories she's always tried to bury deep. she struggles with understanding it as well as feeling validated compared to what naruto and sasuke had to go through.
she also struggles with her marriage to sasuke as she starts to unpack all the terrible things he's done to her. she's knows why he did them and she can justify his actions as much as she wants, but it doesn't change the fact he traumatized and tried to kill her at one point.
hinata's would focus on the hyuga. she's an outsider to them without any power. when she was stripped of her title and allowed to marry naruto, she thought it was a dream come true. she was so confident that hanabi would change the clan, that the branch system would be destroyed and neji wouldn't have died in vain.
only, without hinata, hanabi began to crack under the pressure of the elders and her father until she became just like them. the seal system is still in place, the branch families are still treated as servants.
it's a lot about generational trauma. how no matter how much hinata tried to change things for hanabi, she was always destined to fall into the same path as her father. only by recognizing this and making the changes her family refused to do in the past, are they able to change things.
i think there could also be something about how once, a long time ago, hiashi had wanted to change the hyūga. he wanted to dispel the main/side branch family system so his brother could be free. but overtime, he became complacent — very similar to hanabi.
as for the kids, i would show the differences between them based on how their parents feel about them being raised as soldiers.
for example, shikatema would have no problem with the shinobi system (at first) and their child would be entered into the academy and ready to become a ninja.
boruto, however, was raised by parents who want to change the system and hate the senseless violence, therefore he was not enrolled. this causes him to have some resentments for his parents as he's in the minority of children who aren't attending the ninja academy. he's viewed as a weak and soft-hearted by his companions and he hates it. maybe he goes against his parents and attends the academy in secret somehow.
there's a lot you can do with each character, honestly. i won't go further into it unless asked, but here's my main thoughts. i have a lot of idea with how to conclude the arcs as well, but i'm not sure how people would feel about it.
gaara stepping down as kazekage and leaving suna, sakura divorcing sasuke as she realized she never truly loved him romantically, hinata becoming the hyūga head/disbanding the hyūga, etc. many ideas.

Dating Neji Hyuga HCs
Tumblr media
GIF by scavengerscab
Tumblr media
-Neji would be very sweet and very proper
-He was raised very modestly so he asks that you respect his boundaries
-He is a distinctly no PDA kind of guy
-That doesn’t mean no affection at all, he just prefers to keep it behind closed doors
-He has to uphold his family name, despite the main branch and side branches of the family being made more equal
-He is still very proud of who he is and his family name
-He definitely dates with the intention of marriage, or at least, long term partnership
-He would enjoy having children, but he would also happily adopt
-Once he gets a bit older, he gets more comfortable with light PDA
-Holding hands, a kiss on the hand as a greeting/goodbye, potentially a kiss on the forehead, a hug if you’re distressed
-He might be a bit stiff, but he does his best and always wants to make you happy

A bit shorter this time, hope you guys don’t mind! <3 Ask Box: Open! Feel free to send me an ask! ~Cricket

Let's look at Infinite Tsukuyomi dreams once again:
and see how it's clearly shows Hinata is a really sh*tty person
Worth to mention - this is their perfect world, this is how they wished it to be. No limits, no restrictions, everything is possible.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Let's see how they want the world to be:
Gaaras dream:
Tumblr media
His parents are ALIVE AND HAPPY. His siblings are with their parents and they are all a close, cute family.
Lee and TenTen:
Tumblr media
Lee wants to fight with Neji/Naruto and win, but Neji wanted to fight with Lee and we know they were sparring frequently.
So in Lee's perfect life, he and Neji are still happy with the only difference being - Lee finally won. Sakura is in love with Lee, but she is still herself. She is doing what she is always doing - being loud and happy, SHE IS HERSELF.
TenTen is standing with Neji and doing what they are always doing - judging Lee and Guy
So in TenTen's perfect world - Neji is alive and they are all (weird) happy family like they were before.
Choji, Shikamaru and Ino:
Tumblr media
Chiji found love and his father is proud of him. Nice, self-explanatory.
Shikamaru is watching 2 couples (Kurenai x Asuma and Shikamarus father and mother) while doing what he loves - complaining. Asuma is ALIVE and meeting his child, Shikaku is ALIVE and with the woman he loves - Shikamaru's mother.
So in Shikamaru's perfect world, they are all the same people with their loved ones. Shikamaru is complaining and happy to see them together.
Ino is with Sai and Sasuke who are fighting for her and her father is happy and proud of her AND ALIVE. Sasuke and Sai are fighting for Ino but look! They are not blushing, not doing anything OOC, they are themselves but in love with Ino.
So in Ino's perfect world, she is popular (with two guys she is attracted to), her father is happy and proud of her.
NOW TO THE SELFISH TEAM:
Kiba and Shino:
Tumblr media
They are both successful, Kiba is the Hokage and Shino found a new species. Not much to add there.
But then, Crème de la crème, this b*tch Hinata:
Tumblr media
In Hinata's dream, she is with Naruto (no surprises) and Neji is alive, but is it? Let's break this down:
Naruto is not Naruto. He is quiet, just sitting there. Naruto, the child with SO MUCH ENERGY he cannot stand in one place, just sitting. Naruto the child WHO SPEAKS SO MUCH is just quiet.
In Lee dream - Sakura is in love with him BUT SHE IS ACTING LIKE SAKURA, SHE IS SAKURA.
In Ino's dream - Sasuke and Sai are fighting over Ino, BUT THEY ARE THEMSELVES. They act like themselves. THEY ARE THEMSELVES.
Everyone who dreams of someone imagine them as they are. Sakura is Sakura, Sasuke and Sai are themselves. Even Temari speaking her one word in Shikamarus dream IS TEMARI. She speaks like she usually do when they are together.
But Naruto in Hinatas mind? Quiet. Stagnant. She could have imagined him as himself as a talkative, over-energized, NARUTO, but no. Quiet.
But that's less infuriating - more just annoying.
Now to the infuriating part.
WTF NEJI.
Why is he annoyed? Why in Hinata's perfect dream - Neji is mad and stalking her? Why in a world when they can be friends, when Neji can be proud of her (like fathers in Ino's or Choji's) she imagined him as unhappy?
And why is he spying on her? Why is he not happily with her, or with his friends OR HIS FATHER, but he is just sitting in the bushes and stalking Hinata?
That's again, not Neji, people who imagined the opposite of Neji saw him like Hinata wanted him in her dream.
Look at Road to ninja, a movie when they are THEIR OPPOSITES. What is Neji doing? Stalking Hinata and getting angry. Wow, would you look at this.
(And yes, that's a filler movie, and no I don't like studio pierrot, but COME ON, WHAT THEY IMAGIN AS THE OPPOSITE OF NEJI IS WHAT HINATA WANTED NEJI TO BE)
SHE COULD HAVE IMAGINED HYUGA CLAN BEING FIXED, MAIN AND SIDE BRANCH HAPPY TOGETHER.
But no, let's imagine that everything is like it is, Neji is still her slave (even after his death - she still imagine him as a slave, propably with his curse mark), he is spying on her and unhappy with it :)
Why dream of change, when you can be with your crush (who acts like a completely different person) and still having your slave, but in this world - he is stalking you! Yeey....
Tumblr media
I can't, I can't with that character, every chance she gets to do the right thing - she keeps on proving how s*it of a person she is...
🤡:hiashi is a horrible father who abused hinata!
Meanwhile manga and The Last film hinata fans love so much:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
hiashi NEVER abused hinata in any form at all.
N E V E R.
hinata fans lie about hinata “being abused by hiashi” to draw your attention away from the fact that hinata exploits (what is a real form of abuse) Neji and Ko as her slaves and uses them as her teachers and bodyguards.
hinata fans try to gaslight you into thinking that “hinata has a bad dad who hates and neglects her” so that they can trick you into sympathing with hinata.
By the way,even if hiashi really was an abusive father,like Gaara’s dad, this still would NOT justify hinata abusing Neji and Ko by using them as her slaves.
hinatafans are desperate to white wash hinata and to make her seem oh so innocent and oh so pure,so they lie,lie and lie some more.
hiashi being slightly strict to hinata one single time in the whole Naruto/Boruto franchise does NOT make him an abusive father.
hinata lost to hanabi,who is FIVE FUCKING YEARS YOUNGER!
Imagine that your child is worse in mathematics or any other school subject that someone who is 5 years younger: will you praise your child for failing?
Also,y’all are forgetting that this is a shinobi world full of political games and wars: hiashi is raising future clanhead,obviously he is forced to discipline his children and to pick a worthy candidate.
hiashi could and should have banished hinata to side branch and claimed her with caged bird seal,but he did not do so,he left hinata with all the sweet privileges of being in main Hyuga branch: owning slaves and using them as her bodyguards and teachers,having free access to the strongest Hyuga justu,being protected even against chunin exam rules; but without any responsibilities at all: hiashi dead straight tells hinata that she has no responsibility in the clan and can do whatever she pleases to.
Also,another lie hinata fans tell you:
🤡:hiashi forced hinata to become a kunoichi! hinata never wanted to be a shinobi,but was forced because of her clan!
hinata LOST her titul of heir and future clanhead to hanabi when she was 12.
hiashi TOLD HINATA TO DO WHATEVER SHW WANTS TO.
Nobody never forced hinata to do anything: unlike Neji and Ko,hinata is not enslaved with caged bird seal and is absolutely free.
hinatafans are so stupid that they don’t even understand their fav.
hinata wanted to be a kunoichi herself because she wanted to be with Naruto,that is why she even shamelessly stole Naruto’s ninja way and than abandoned it.
Stupid bitch and her stupid fans.
Ew.
[ DEMO (TBA) ] - [ PINTEREST (TBA) ] - [ PLAYLIST (TBA) ]
Asahi Uchiha ( x )
he/him
One of your teammates, a member of team 3
One of your childhood best friends, and the most talented shinobi in your class. With how humble he is you could almost say it happened accidentally though. Prefers only having a few close friends and would go to the end of the Earth for them
Niko Sarutobi ( x )
they/them
One of your teammates, a member of team 3
From the Hidden Leaf Village
Your other childhood best friend! The opposite of Asahi and will make friends wherever they go! Will always put you and Asahi first though! Is also very flexible
Inoru Yamanaka ( x )
A member of team 5
Not a fan of Asahi, as he thinks he was the best shinobi in your class (he wasn't). Despite that, he is very talented so he has a right to be confident. As he gets older, his confidence and charisma continue to grow
Rona Inuzuka ( x )
she/her
A member of team 13
Her clan members can be a little chaotic, so she likes to be the responsible one wherever she goes. Safe to say she's the mom friend of your group
Mokoto Aburame
they/them
A member of team 9
A member of the Kazekages clan, Ryoku was born with their ability to control sand with their chakra. He has a serious personality and will protect his village with his life.
Aburame: Tattoo Shop AU | DLC This is basically an additional addon to @kankuroplease's own AU. So thank her for all the good content she brings!
The Family
Occupationally Speaking. Many within the Aburame Family have taken to working with the dead as morticians or as hitmen. Usually though they'll work in teams where one is the hitmen and the other the mortician.
Some within the family have even gone to use their knowledge of insects to help expedite the process of getting rid of the bodies. Though it does help that they collectively own quite a few crematories and some graveyards too.
Also. They run a few of the garbage disposal places. Basically they are where you go to when you need to get rid of something.
Since the family makes it's living off the dead. Many find it to be creepy. Since ya know- death.
They work with both the Uchiha and Hyuga, they are a neutral ground kind of family as no matter what happens. They ofc will always be there waiting to take the dead. By their own hands or gifted.
Sometimes if the pay is good enough they'll even help smuggle things- people to wherever they're needed to be.
There are different syndicates of the family. Approximately six, they try to confuse the law by doing this and if one needs to go down they can easily replace it with another branch head.
Amongst the clan these branches are known by. Bikōchū, Kidaichū, Kikaichū, Kochū, Rinkaichū, and Shōkaichū.
The Aburame numbers always seem to stay the same amongst the gang. It isn't really obvious how many people they may or may not have.
Public schooling for the kids. Most don't even know the Aburame are in charge since they have those syndicates and what not. Though some of the higher ups kids do go to private schools. But most of the time it's all public.
The Crew
Shibi Aburame
Another childhood friend of Mikoto's but she didn't need to kick his butt for them to become cool.
Use to be a hitter but after having Shino he decided he rather work with disposing of the bodies instead of making the hits himself. Keeps him closer to home and gives him a cover up.
Met his girl in school too. Makes the off handed joke to Fugaku that he didn't need his ass kicked to know he found the one he liked. He just needed a ear full.
His wife does know of the business, he tries to make sure she and their children stay out of it. But unluckily for him Shino has joined them after seeing his adoptive brother and his father tending to a work incident.
Shino Aburame
Is going to college to become an entomologist. But is also trying to partake in the family business because he hates to see father and brother suffer alone.
In addition the way the family uses insects to decompose of the bodies gives him the ability to study them much more closely. (Shibi breathes a sigh of relief that his son is just as weird about bugs as his mother is.)
Torune Aburame
As his father, Shikuro, is often locked up for one reason or another. Torune has taken to staying with Shino's family. Unofficially adopted by them basically.
His side job is being a tattoo tech for one of his cousins. But disposal is his primary source of income when he isn't sleeping on Shibi's couch- much like his father tries to do when he isn't locked away.
Shikuro Aburame
Is alive and well in this. But is locked up and keeps getting locked up. He's practically the family fall man after an incident with his adoptive brother having thrown him under the bus.
Muta Aburame
Far off distant cousin to Tatsuma and Torune. Muta is also Torune's hand in crime as the two often are partnered up.
When he isn't working with Torune, Muta is often tending to his silk worms. He often uses them for craft works.
Tatsuma Aburame
Personal guard to the current family head Takeo.
Chews a lot of bubble gum. Uses a cigar case to carry his gum packs.
Yōji Aburame
Best marksmen out of the main family.
Takeo Aburame | Oc
Has been in charge of the family since he was fifteen. Inherited the position from his Aunt.
Wishes to pass on the title to his son already but knows he would get bored if he didn't keep it. He's far too use to the excitement the job brings and as much as he enjoys making teapots in his spare time. He finds that life in charge more fulfilling.
I know it's Naruto's story and the Konoha 12 are not the protagonists, but I still regret how the Classic set the scene for some amazing dynamics that kinda,,,, died there,,,,,,,,,
The Hyuga situation was directly connected to Naruto's shinobi path during the Chuning Exams. It was the moment Naruto made his promise in blood to defeat Neji (for the way he treated Hinata) that involved them with Konoha politics directly. He was not a child with a big mouth anymore; he was a threat. He was interfering with traditions and he was promising to break the institution with his own ideals. To free both the main and the secondary branches of the Hyuga clan from the structure that guided one brother to sacrifice his life for the safety of the other.
It was a direct parallel to the Uchihas and a direct line for Naruto to understand Sasuke past and motivations, but it was never ever mentioned again.
If not the theme, I expected at least for some friendship, you know? Meaningful moments where Naruto and Hinata and Neji would be allowed to continue their dynamic based on their shared memories and promises.
It never came.
It was the same with Sakura and most of her friendships outside Team 7. They gave us so much of Rock Lee and Ino with Sakura. The two of them pushed Sakura to bloom during the Chuning Exams. Until that point, she had not found that type of help on her own team. It was always Naruto vs Sasuke as Kakashi fought a big enemy and Sakura stood behind to guard, to cry, to do nothing. They wanted to protect her from the mess their team was, I don't blame them, Team 7 was abnormal in all ways and Sakura was in the middle of far greater things. They were just... not what she needed at the time.
Rock Lee and Ino forced Sakura to do more than that. Their friendship would have been a wonderful reinforcement during Tsunade's training. Thematically, Rock Lee and Ino were the perfect training buddies for her: to develop whatever was going with her mind and to strengthen her body.
But again, we never really got any type of development on their dynamics.
Imaging Team 7 trying to reach Sasuke after Sakura learned to deal with her insecurities and Naruto understood better about Konoha politics from his connection with the Hyugas.
It would have helped the Team 7 dynamic in Shippuden to feel more organic, including the addition of Sai to the team. More political intrigue and the reflection of Sakura and her insecurities in terms of her personality, etc.
Idk, it's just what I think.
Do you think people in the fandom would be more forgiving towards Sasuke character as a whole if we got the show from his perspective or if not that then if his thoughts are more shown?
I find myself drawn to his character because, in many ways, I see reflections of my own inclinations, albeit magnified. The tumultuous events that unfolded within his clan and the devastating actions of his brother, wiping out everyone, add a layer of complexity to his character. It's kind of intrigued me to consider that, under similar circumstances, I might make similar choices, perhaps even worse. The Narutoverse, with its deeply rooted issues like child soldiers, clan annihilation, and internal slavery within the Hyuga branch, presents a grim reality. While some characters, and even elements of the fandom, criticize and reject his actions, arguing that trauma should not be an excuse, it's hard to ignore the systemic problems within the Narutoverse itself. The pervasive cycle of suffering, with clans being wiped out and individuals enslaved, points to a broken system that breeds villains and antagonists seeking change.
In contrast to the complacency and cooperation displayed by many characters, those who rebel against the established order and strive for something different, flawed as their execution may be, at least attempt to address the root issues. The fact that they are trying to break free from the oppressive system suggests a level of agency and resistance, even if I may not fully agree with their methods. That's why I'm more forgiving towards the antagantis like Pain, Madara and especially in Sasuke case.
Reflecting on Naruto's journey and his current achievements the fundamental issues persist unchanged.
Also, sorry if this got long I ramble a lot when discussing lol. I hope you have a good day.
Hello, this took long to reply, and for that, I apologize.
I don’t think the issue is “not having Sasuke’s thoughts on display” for him to get sympathy, as we get to see firsthand the reasoning behind his actions, his background, and connections; we also get to see the atrocities committed by the system on multiple characters including those that the fandom takes as “less controversial” and which are considered victims of a bigger scale than Sasuke. I put more blame on the naturalization of state-sanctioned violence and the oppression of minority groups who are then blamed for their village’s actions as they are “savage-coded,” which turns the government’s oppression into a response to their behavior rather than an action born from their own bias. Their ultimate argument always boils down to “fighting violence with violence is not the way,” yet they fail to understand that a government built with brutality as its primary basis and as its primary tool leaves no room for negotiations, as it also implies that those oppressed continue to be oppressed until a “solution” is reached through time. They blame those discriminated against and later on massacred for their demise and not those in power who decided that committing genocide was a plausible solution to their dispute.
The main issue with the idea that “their hearts are in the right place, but I don’t agree with the antagonist methods” also derives from this same perspective, where the discriminated must take all the consequences of the persecution they suffered and choose the “moral high ground” still to keep being “victims” and not become “victimizers.” Their categorization as innocents/savages is always based upon their response to the mass killing of their kin, minimizing the actions of those in power and diminishing the value of their critics to the system in place.
Yet, while the naturalization of state-sanctioned violence plays a part in Sasuke’s status as a “villain” by many of his detractors, it’s not the only one, as many feel Naruto has a similar (perhaps harder) experience with the system in place as he was ostracized, yet he chose to follow Konoha’s WoF –many fans are closer to experience something similar to Naruto (an unpopular kid that was often shunned by comrades), so they feel more inclined to stand behind a character that reflects a personal experience of them, and not behind the boy who suffered genocide, a thing not many can see themselves in nor can build sympathy for as they (again) naturalized such occurrence.
The popularization of the action genre featuring first-world soldiers invading the global south, whose focus is more on the trauma that lingers in the invader for trying to bring peace than on the indiscriminate killing of minorities, also contributes to seeing those in power as more humane or deserving of redemption than those responding violently against the intruders, because those invaded should put their trust in the “good intentions” of those abiding by the system that destroyed them in the first place.
