my personal little headcanon is that Simon becomes one of the best pro-bono lawyers in Sweden.
A not insignificant part of the motivation would be something that Wilhelm (ironically) said in S2E5: "You don't understand. August would have the best lawyers in Sweden protecting him…you wouldn't stand a chance." I feel like those words would've lodged themselves in the back of Simon's mind, but that they'd begin to come back to him more and more as time went on, particularly after S3E1 when he comes face to face with August's stepfather - who is considered one of the best lawyers in Sweden.
Admittedly, the main reason why August's stepfather could force an agreement was the fact that a) The Royal Court didn't want to pursue charges against August, and b) August had the very real blackmail material which was Simon's own drug-dealing in S1. However, I also think that even if August didn't have that leverage, Simon would've been in for a very painful time trying to win against August's stepfather and his considerable resources. Without the Royal Court backing Simon, I genuinely don't know if Simon could've made much ground in the legal system - then again, I don't know much about how the Swedish legal system works.
At any rate, with what did play out, I've always felt Simon's character is the kind to have taken that loss and then thought to himself - I never want anyone else to feel so powerless. I never want anyone else to have to simply back down because they don't have access to a lawyer who has the compassion to want to help and the ability to do so. I think this would've galvanised Simon, made him think - hang on, I could be that person.
The question is, of course, whether being a lawyer suits Simon's character. My own feeling is that it would, regardless of whether he goes down the solicitor or barrister route (or any of the many other routes that are available). I think he would actually excel at being a barrister (the lawyer who specialises in presenting arguments in court), because we know he's got the confidence to speak his mind. We also know that he's great at formulating and delivering take-downs that are backed up with logic (Why is it called tax "evasion" but welfare "scam"? It's all right that rich people cheat, but when poor people do it, it's messed up.) Granted, this is when he's sixteen and in a classroom - but I'd argue that it takes guts to speak up like that when you're surrounded by people who actively, vociferously disagree with you. Imagine what he'd be like in about ten years' time, after finishing a university degree and doing a few internships.
Anyway, this got super long, but it's a thought that's been percolating in my mind for the past year or so. Simon Eriksson has what it takes to make an amazing lawyer - but he can just as well go pursue something else. With what we've seen of his character, I don't think anyone can deny that he'd excel at whatever he puts his mind to.

i think we need to talk more about how in daredevil s2, karen is the first person to cross the line around frank's bed in the hospital room. that taped line is small, but it's everything. it's a physical representation of the line that separates the evil (frank) from the good (everyone else). it shows the way everyone separates frank from his emotions and his humanity, it’s the black and white morals everyone else is viewing the situation through, and the way everyone sees him as a monster because of what he's done, regardless of his reasons. everyone except karen. she doesn't care about crossing the line, even when matt is pulling her back.
this can also be read as the reason why karen and matt will never work. because karen is willing to cross that line in order to find the truth, which is where justice lies in her eyes. she doesn't hold herself, or anyone else, to the same exact moral standard matt does, and matt pulling her back is the reason they would have inevitably fallen apart even without the intervention of both frank and elektra. it's important to note that he is not "holding her back" by any means because for the most part they are on the same side and neither are necessarily one hundred percent right or wrong, but they are just fundamentally incompatible because of internal values and moral codes. matt will NEVER cross that line, but karen has and is willing to do it again.
it's also why her and frank are perfectly matched for each other in a way (though, they will never work out because of the thousand and one other circumstances holding them apart, but that's a completely different set of issues) because even though frank is in the wrong for killing all those people and karen doesn't agree with his methods, shit, she understands them. she's killed people, not for the same reasons at all, but she has. she's killed, and she's willing to go to any lengths to find truth and justice, and she knows that about herself. she sees those parts of herself - the parts she may not like that much - mirrored in frank.

The thing about Aziraphale is that he still can't accept that Heaven does not equal Good.
Throughout the centuries, he keeps seeing Heaven shrugging off or even downright supporting horrible things that hurt humanity, and he keeps justifying them as just being mistakes, or bad managment, or the result of the fact that angels do not quite grasp how humans work. When everything else fails, he brings up the ineffable plan, sure that even if he does not see the point, there is a point.
He sees how good Crowley is and of course he assumes he'd like to be an angel again. Of course he's happy when he gets offered exactly that chance.
Aziraphale has long been terrified of what Hell might do to Crowley, just as much as he's terrified of Falling. But, we learn, he already once made a choice that he thought would make him Fall. He hleped Job and his children, determined to do the kind thing even when it went against the divine plan. Which probably now hurts Crowley even more, because from his perspective it sounds like "Aziraphale was wiling to defy Heaven for humans, but he is not willing to defy Heaven for me."
But the way Aziraphale sees it is: "You Fall was always a mistake, let me fix it." No more bad managment, no more mistakes. Aziraphale can finally make Heaven work the way it was meant to.
What is it ever gonna take to make Aziraphale see the truth? I think that being in charge is exactly what he needs. I think he needs to see that this is not a case of bad managment, this is an insistutional problem. I think he needs to be in the position where he is supposed to punish an angel who, in his eyes, did nothing wrong. And I think that angel is gonna be Muriel.
"It's different when it's someone you know."

I literally just had the stunning revelation that both the head of the Demon Slayer Corps and the actual Demon King have had the strangest gender experiences lmfao?? Kagaya is like yeah haha I was raised as a girl my whole childhood and then suddenly I became an Adult Man at the age of four :) and meanwhile Muzan shows up in full drag to a business meeting and then proceeds to murder all of his employees??? Absolutely unhinged and I love it to death because you just KNOW that transphobia doesn’t fly in either organization. Kagaya and Muzan have one (1) shared idea and that is fuck the gender binary I said what I said

Oh dear....
Tumblr media
This entire revelation of Hilmes' true parentage is so gross but what truly shook me is that it was this man's wish to kill Hilmes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Osroes was everything to Hilmes. We have seen how much he revered his father's remembrance. His pure, justly father who, he thought, got murdered by Andragorus. Apart from the murder attempt on himself, it was also his father's death that he wanted to avenge, by taking the throne. The cause of all of Hilmes' miseries was the man he devoted his life to :'(
We have seen Hilmes crumbling, panicking many times before and he fought his fears to come back stronger each time. But this time, it's different. It seems Andragorus has snatched away the very foundation of his person. What happened with Hilmes is cruel. And absurd.
Tumblr media
He's always so high and mighty so it's kind of....difficult watching him going through identity crisis like this T.T
One character that I took only as seriously as Gieve until now, caught my interest in this chapter. Yup, that's Queen Tahamineh :'D
Tumblr media
I never thought I would feel sorry for her but here we are. She's an example of a cursed beauty that people desire, use and accuse for being used at the same time. She was displaced from her roots, handed over from one king to other like an object and bore the blame for everything when the kings and kingdoms failed for whatever reasons (Note what happened in case of Lusitania). Then, she lost her only child and the ability to bear children. She couldn't do anything thing to change her own and her daughter's situation. She's been so powerless, and all of that pent up angst she let out on Arslan.
It's understandable how she would feel. What I don't understand is, though, that how could she resist loving Arslan? He had such a lovable personality even as a child. How could anyone not love him? Maybe her anger thawed at some point and she had to hardened herself consciously. She must have battled with a lot of conflicting feelings.
Anyway, Arslan did nothing to deserve such bitterness. She could, at least, have loved him as just a child, if not as a mother.
Tumblr media
Until this point, Arslan showed much understanding for her. It is only when he learns that she never tried to connect to him even as a person, let alone a son, that he finally reacts sternly. He is horrified at thought that she expected Arslan to hit someone he called his mother. And also at the reality that his supposedly mother is as ignorant of his feelings as a stranger would be.
Tumblr media
Here in this panel, she feels something other than disdain for Arslan for the first time. I think she got a glimpse of who Arslan really is.

being fwb with wooyoung is definitely a case of “you fell first but he fell harder”. like he would love fucking with you love it. teasing you with touches, getting you worked up, saying things he knows will get you flustered, sexting you while you’re out just to tease you. definitely something of a brat though he’d never admit it he’s too cocky for that, but you know it’s true. he’s the type to ask you something and cut off your words with a kiss, only to pull back and smirk “what was that baby? didn’t catch that 😏”. just super playful, super fun vibes with you, just a really fun sex partner to have. and you have fun too, though when he calls you pretty, his words have your face burning with more than just arousal.
it’ll be after some really intense sex and you’re trying to collect your bearings that he realizes he’s fallen too. you’d be speechless afterwards, simply rolling onto your back and staring into space as you try to refocus your mind because damn that was good. and his first instinct is to hold you and soothe you. no teasing, no banter, no “i fucked you stupid huh baby?” none of that. just a simple “shh baby i got you” while he rubs your back. and that’s when he realizes oh fuck he has a crush on you.
and those teasing smirks will have a little more heat to them, gaze smoldering with something more than just lust. he’ll sound more emphatic, even more passionate, when he tells you how pretty you are. even if you’re just going down on him, he’s just fucking bewitched by your gaze and would breathlessly tell you how pretty you are, a far cry from the seductive hum his voice takes on when he’s with you. and when you ride him he just lays beneath you, speechless because he can’t believe you’re this beautiful and feel this good and you’re with him. definitely makes it a point to start taking care of you more, even outside the bedroom, bc goddamnit he’s gonna make you happy if it’s the last thing he ever does

Even More Soul Eater Headcanons
Stein has something of an oral fixation, as it’s often his way of stimming. So, if he doesn’t have a cigarette in his mouth, he’s got a lollipop.
Spirit had repeatedly given Maka various different sweets as a way to buy her love, but he somehow manages to give her her least favorite sweets every single time.
Spirit hates sports, but forced himself to learn more about them for the sake of seeming more “manly” and fitting in
Maka and Soul genuinely considered getting Blair spayed on multiple occasions
Liz is the type of person to call the most brutal, heinous piece of media “girlypop” with an ironic valley girl accent
Patty thinks she’s being entirely serious, so the next time they are sent on a mission and slaughter some person, she calls the bloodbath “girlypop” (she does this on every mission now)
Death the Kid gave up on telling her to stop, and just shakes his head in disappointment now
Blackstar still jumps up and down on beds
Cue Tsubaki in the background trying to softly encourage him not to do that
Tsubaki has been jokingly referred to as “Tsunami” before
Stein owns stitched up and creepy stuffed animals
He also has jars filled with various different organs and such on a shelf
He sits there and giggles to himself while intently analyzing every single photo of a decomposing human body possible
Spirit has walked in on him doing this before when they were young, his eyes went wide, and he just slowly backed out of the room while whispering a prayer to himself /hj

i make jokes we all make jokes about the Frontier gang, about them being feral kids that slept on dirt and barely ate for the first couple of weeks on their adventure, about how they barely had a break a minute to relax before they had to fight for their lives against enemies that were actively hunting for them near constantly and how most of the time their first reaction to a threat is to run head long towards it at max speed and volume.
but that’s really fucked up, right?
The other digidestined didn’t have it easy, but at least they got breaks. Long stretches where they didn’t know where the enemy was and the enemy didn’t know where they were. some digidestined got to go back home and sleep in their own beds and see their family. they had help, they weren’t the ones on the front lines breaking bones and getting burned and zapped and smashed against trees.
few of the main heroes in this series had perfect homes, but literally every person in the Frontier group has issues at home. their homes are dull or broken or cold or distant. Zoe doesn’t have any friends JP isolates himself with humor Takuya is longing for something meaningful Tommy is slowly starting to realize what growing up will take away from him and Koji’s brother broke his damn neck falling down stairs.
None of them have perfect lives back home, all of them have some sort of estrangement waiting for them back home, but when they get a glimpse of it they so desperately want to go back.
The world around them is beautiful and wonderous and dangerous and brutal and cruel and DYING. They hold in their hands the only things that could possibly save it and they keep failing, over and over to make progress and every time they think they’re pushing back an enemy a more powerful one shows up to kick them back down.
There is sadness back home and danger right here and no way out, so the only reaction these kids, these six grade kids, can think of is to push back with all their might. Sometimes that’s enough, most of the time it isn’t. But all they can do is push back harder and hope.
And that sounds exhausting.
I dunno man the Frontier kids make me sad, ya know?
