jake’s propped up in bed, reading over a new book about a heroic tale from world war two. you come into your shared bedroom, rubbing your towel through your wet hair. you groan when you see the pile of clothes on the floor. you kick yourself that you didn’t clean them up earlier. jake picks up on your frustrated and exhausted tone. jake closes his book and places it on the bedside table. “baby…” he watches as you pick up the clothes in a flurry. “sweetheart, stop. i’ll do that. come here.” he flips the bed covers over. it’s a warm invitation to the thing you’re so desperately craving. bed.

you crawl into bed and peep out from under the covers, sheepishly watching jake fold the clothes away. he smiles at you reassuringly. “you know i’m happy to help you. we’re in this together, sweets.”

he grabs the comb from the bathroom when he puts the last of the clothes away. he climbs into bed with you and helps you sit up. you’re pressed flush against his chest and he draws the comb through your hair. the pressure is nearly orgasmic and you feel your eyes closing steadily, heavy with sleep. “c’ ere.” he places the comb down on the side and draws you closer into his chest with his large arms and pulls you to the soft mattress. “i’ve got you, sweets. close your eyes.”
