the midwilshire family group chat headcanons
ok so the canon confirmation in 5.13 that the core group have a group chat with each other is probably one of THE best things to come from last night’s episode, and one thing abt me is that I LOVE found family shenanigans so you know I had to make this. so here’s what I think their group chat looks like:
nolan always goes to bailey whenever a phrase, abbreviation, or emoji is sent over text that he doesn’t understand
originally he went to henry but because of the time zone difference henry would be like “dad fuck off it’s 3am here I can’t explain to you what bffr means” so then bailey comes to the rescue
the whole group actually GASLIGHTS tim. like they will send the most unfunny 2012 facebook memes and tell him that it is the kind of stuff kids find funny these days, acting like he’s crazy for not laughing, and he gets so annoyed because he knows they’re fucking with him and he’s insulted they think he’s that lame but also they NEVER break. they commit to the bit 100% and keep at it
lucy sends obscure uquizzes like “find out what famous true crime documentary you are by choosing bts lyrics” or “what kind of wings would you have if humans had wings” or something like that
unless directly mentioned or asked a question (or unless she herself needs something) nyla will not text in the chat. the only exception is when she has an occasional girls’ night to get a break from leah, and then she (and angela) will get super drunk and start sending drunken voice memos and texting the group chat saying really affectionate stuff like how much she loves all of them, and she misspells every word
angela sends one picture of jack. ONE. and lucy responds with 80 different texts fawning over how cute he is, sending little 🥰 emojis and rambling about how nyla and angela have the cutest kids ever. the guys only send like one text each. but it gets to the point where angela only ever sends pictures of jack when she’s had a bad day and needs a serotonin boost or wants to feel like the best mom ever (which is true) because she knows lucy always goes insane and it makes angela feel good about herself
tim will ABSOLUTELY send all-caps messages late at night giving extremely heated commentary on whatever sports game is on and everyone will either play along with it (“nooo, not the lineguard!! (I have no idea what’s going on)” comes from wesley) OR it’ll be too late at night so they will all text him in unison going “SHUT UP ABOUT THE GAME”
there are also several group chats— like one with aaron and celina, one without them, one with all the spouses and SOs (bailey, james, wesley) and one without, one even with grey, one with just the ladies, etc.— and in the ones aaron is in, tim will send recent paparazzi pictures of aaron that he finds online just to fuck with him
celina also sends daily horoscopes to the ladies group chat
lucy and tim also always send out invites to tyler’s little league games because tim is convinced that a bigger audience showing support for the kids will help them succeed (and the litany of post-game snack ideas that they all suggest)
everyone also tries to pump free construction and repair advice from nolan and he’s a sucker for it every time
If y’all want more of these then lmk because I have a whole bunch of them

Faye Wong's emotional past with Dou Wei, Jessica Jiang and Gao Yuan (2020)
DISCLAIMER: Some of this information is taken from Jessica Jiang's book so take it with a grain of salt.
- excerpt from Sister Na's Light and Shadow Notes -
Faye Wong and Dou Wei’s past must start with Jessica Jiang [Jiang Xin].
In her autobiography, "Days When My Long Hair Flew", Jessica Jiang recalled the legendary emotional entanglement between her, Dou Wei and Faye Wong.
In 1989, Jessica Jiang was 18 years old. She was attending a party at an underground dance club when she met several young rockers including Dou Wei.
"There was a boy in a black windbreaker. I couldn't see his face under the flashing lights, but I noticed his long hair that was flying with the rhythm... He danced very well and was very intense."
It was an era when everyone was very young and also unknown. Dou Wei was a Beijing native. His parents divorced when he was young. His mother took him and his sister to live in a compound. He went to a vocational school at the age of 16 and majored in psychiatric nursing. But because of his love for music, he learned guitar during his school days and began to play music. At the age of 18, he was admitted to the Beijing Youth Music Group.
Jessica Jiang dropped out of school in her sophomore year and started to make music, initially singing in a bar. The two met and fell in love. In addition to being driven by young love, they also had a mutual appreciation for each others talents.
Jessica Jiang wrote in her book, "Love is something that suddenly occurs in an instant. It is something that catches you off guard and you can't get rid of it."
After the two lovers confirmed their relationship, Jessica Jiang followed Dou Wei to live in his small courtyard [living quarters].
At first, the parents on both sides opposed to their relationship. Dou Wei's mother felt that the two were too young to fall in love and shouldn't live together. Dou Wei persuaded his mother on the grounds that "We are serious about love, we are not playing around. We will get married when we are old enough".
At that time, Faye Wong was already a singer in Hong Kong. When she was bored, she liked to fly back to Beijing. Beijing was home and a place of freedom and love. At that time, Faye Wong’s boyfriend was Luan Shu from the band Hei Bao [Black Panther], so she also knew Dou Wei and the other band members.
According to Jessica Jiang's recollection, one day she was home alone and received a parcel pickup slip from the postman. The address was the United States and the sender was Faye Wong.
When Dou Wei returned home, he took the slip to the post office to retrieve the package. It was a box full of CDs, a nice knit cap, and a letter. The letter was about her recent troubles, and at the end it said, "Can you stop calling me Little Wong in the future?"
Obviously, such precious gifts and an ambiguous letter from across the ocean meant something beyond a relationship of ordinary friends.
Dou Wei saw Jessica Jiang's displeasure and said, "Don't be so petty." and then gave the hat that Faye Wong sent to him to Jessica.
As for when Faye Wong and Dou Wei got closer, there was a rumor that she and the entire band often met up in those days. One time, Dou Wei was going to buy something and Faye Wong followed him but the two did not come back.
Whether this is true or not, I am afraid that only the parties themselves will know.
No matter what, it can be seen that Faye Wong is very proactive with her feelings. She takes the initiative to pursue the career she likes and takes the initiative to approach the people she likes. She never passively waits.
Many people feel that Faye Wong's life is carefree and easy. This is probably because she chooses every part of her life on her own initiative. No matter what the outcome is, there will be no regrets. Her life is fully lived and experienced, so there is real freedom. And those who are passive or hesitant miss the right to choose and will have so much reluctance and resentment.
In the winter of 1991, Dou Wei left Black Panther and cut his long hair. At that time, the band's popularity was at an all-time high and everyone did not understand. But this decision had something to do with Faye Wong. After forming a new band, Dou Wei asked Jessica Jiang to come watch his performance. But when Jessica arrived at the scene, everyone else was there, only Dou Wei was missing.
Finally, Jessica found Dou Wei and Faye Wong at a hotel.
"I found him and he was in the bathroom in her room. He had obviously just taken a shower and I noticed that his hair was wet -  that was the last thing I wanted to see."
As Jessica rushed into the hotel room, the security called the police, and the three were taken to the police station. Because of her Hong Kong identity, Faye Wong was released first while Jessica and Dou Wei were detained overnight. Early the next morning, the two left the police station, walking one after the other. Dou Wei began to walk faster and faster and then ran. Just like that, he disappeared from Jessica's eyes.
Jessica Jiang wrote in her book:
"To be honest, I did hate her [Faye] at the time. But after many years, I began to understand - there is no right or wrong in love. We have all seen the beauty that exists in someone. We all desire to share a life with him. So who is wrong?"
There is no right or wrong in love. But a relationship between three people does bring pain to each other.
Dou Wei once asked Jessica very seriously, "If I stop making music and just open a small grocery store at the entrance of the hutong, or become a music teacher at the primary school, will you still love me? Will you be happy with me?"
Of course, Dou Wei did not give up music, nor did he stop his relations with the two women.
One afternoon, Dou Wei's grandmother, younger sister and Jessica were making dumplings. Dou Wei answered the phone and went out. When he returned home, he was dragging a suitcase in his hand and was followed by Faye Wong.
The three of them sat at one table, eating and chatting together until late at night. In Jessica's memories, Dou Wei said this:
"I know you love me and I love you. But to be honest, I don’t think this [situation] is contradictory. I can give you everything you want from me, so I really don’t understand why we make ourselves suffer. I have never dared to say these words and kept them in my heart because I was also asking myself - is it normal to think this way? Is it right? I have not overthrown myself and forced myself to make a choice. But my conscience is always disturbed..."
The three fell silent and politely added water to each other’s cups. Faye Wong asked Jessica, "Do you think he loves you?" Jessica said, "If he didn't love me, why are we together?" Faye Wong said, "But he told me the same."
This three-person love line lasted for awhile. Whenever Faye Wong returned to Beijing, Dou Wei went to Faye Wong. When Faye Wong returned to Hong Kong, Dou Wei went to Jessica.
At that time, Faye Wong was already very popular and became a superstar. The photo of Faye Wong coming out of the toilet in her pajamas one morning was taken by paparazzi and the public was in an uproar.
Faye Wong truly loved Dou Wei and the love was very painful and persistent. Her own lyrics in the song "No Regrets" may be an accurate expression of her state of mind at the time: "This time I resolutely confront / I rashly allow myself to become enraptured / I don't care whether this is right or wrong / Even if it is a dangerous trap, I won't care about anything else / Even when it comes to love, I'll love without regrets”.
In 1996, Faye Wong got pregnant by accident and the two got married.
Dou Wei's mentality at the time was probably a bit helpless. At their dinner banquet, Dou Wei hesitantly said to Faye Wong, "Actually, I’m not a good man. You have to think about whether to marry me or not."
Upon hearing this, Faye Wong's friends became angry and her manager Katie Chan immediately hit the table, "What do you want? Are you marrying her or not?"
Dou Jingtong was born in 1997. The stable, seemingly perfect marriage that was finally attained only lasted a little over two years before it came to an end.
Later, Dou Wei publicly stated that he suspected that it was a conspiracy when Faye Wong married him. He blamed Faye Wong for putting too much emphasis on her career and disregarding the family. Buying him a car and house corrupted his will, consumed his creative talents, and almost ruined him in music.
But the real reason for the divorce was the existence of another woman, Gao Yuan.
In early March of 1999, Faye Wong held a concert in Tokyo. Dou Wei appeared at the after-party. However, the atmosphere between the two was obviously off. Not only did they sit separately from each other without any communication, but Faye Wong also seemed very down. It was not until Dou Wei left that she became lively.
The reporters immediately sensed something was wrong in their marriage.
Faye Wong's team tried to clarify the rumors until one day Dou Wei brought Gao Yuan to an event and said to the media openly, "She is Gao Yuan, my lover."
Gao Yuan is a photographer and met Dou Wei when she took photos for his band.
According to her, they met in 1994 and have been together since so she was not a third party in Faye and Dou Wei’s marriage .
At that time, Faye had a glimmer of hope for Dou Wei. She once said, “Everyone makes mistakes. If there’s an affair, I must first know under what circumstances the other party made the mistake. If there is no intention to give up the family, I will be forgiving at my discretion. If he likes the other person and will not look back, then I will give up fighting and I won't force it anymore."
As a matter of fact, doesn’t the one who has been let down have a right to choose? Talking about forgiveness is self-deception. Unfaithfulness will never be truly forgiven. There will always be a gap between the two people, reminding you of the existence of betrayal and the collapse of trust all the time.
After seeing Dou Wei with Gao Yuan, the "battle" was too late. Faye Wong made up her mind and chose to end this marriage. That year, she was just 30 years old.
A few years later, Dou Wei married Gao Yuan but their marriage did not last long and ended in divorce. Perhaps people like Dou Wei are not suitable for marriage.
I don’t know if their story paints them as "jerks", so I hesitated when writing about them. Now that I have written about them, I will say a few more words - aside from moral judgments, I can actually understand that artists, especially when they are young, need high-stimulation and fresh emotional experiences to enrich their perception and artistic life.  It is precisely because they are such highly sensitive and highly passionate people that they have moved towards the fate of creativity.
Of course, those entanglements and betrayals in the relationship must be painful when they experience it. But Faye Wong makes me admire her:
She has never regarded the end of her marriage as a failure in her life. She has never used her child to sell an image of a miserable mother to win sympathy from the public.
Dou Wei's influence on Faye Wong's music is obvious.
I really like Faye Wong's album "Fuzao", which has a strong color of Dou Wei. I particularly like the song "Impermanence”. The lyrics were written by Faye Wong and arranged by Dou Wei. The whole song has a far-reaching artistic conception and it seems to be pondering subtle feelings with a Buddhist flavor. Impermanence, like their love that was once so fierce, burning brilliantly and recklessly had soon disappeared. Another song I like is called "Fracture":  innocently smiling, see through everything, exhausted of love, don’t disdain anything. The first time I heard this song it hit me deeply.
On the other hand, I also like Jessica Jiang's music very much. She has a more carefree and casual personality. She did not have a strong desire to pursue pop success. She was always regarded as relatively indie. My feeling is that she sang with all her life emotions, not her skills.
She has a song called "I'm Not a Random Flower" that I really like.
Jessica Jiang married drummer Zhang Yongguang in 2003; he died of depression in 2014.
Faye Wong fell in love with Nicholas Tse after her divorce, then married Li Yapeng in 2005 and divorced him in 2013. She reunited with Nicholas Tse in 2014. Of course, that is a whole other story.

My Thoughts on JYP Entertainment
Founder/CEO: J.Y. Park - Good but problematic
I have complicated feelings about JYP as a person.  I think that as a business man he is smart and knows his business.  I also think he knows how to train his trainees, but as a person and creator he has done some questionable things.  Mostly he is very misogynistic towards his female trainees, along with his own music lyrically.
Two examples of this is during Sixteen he told Jihyo that she was too fat...to a 17-18 year old girl.  She also wasn’t what people would even considered fat.  His reasoning was not a good one, it was simply a stylistic look choice of a dancer’s body that he wanted and thus a 17-18 year old girl who was probably going through puberty wasn’t the ‘right size’ for him.  He also said this to another girl who was 17 on the nizi project in 2020.  Only five years later, his views unchanged.
The second example is his questionable lyrics that he gives TWICE.  Not only in Cheer Up which is basically telling a guy, even when I say no, keep pestering me.  And Yes or Yes, basically disregarding that No isn’t an answer.  If either one of those songs was sung in context of a boy group, they would have been accused of disregarding the probablemic argument that as a society of a whole, women face daily.  There are other songs for example Girls Girls Girls by Got7, and I will probably go into a deeper separate post about cheer up and Yes or Yes, even other songs he has written as well, but I wanted to give examples here.  (Also not trying to put down TWICE or GOT7, counting that they didn’t write the lyrics or choose the song.  I’m talking about the Song writer, a man in his 40’s.)
Company as a whole: Not the worst, but not the best.  (But really is any company)
As a company, to me at least, they always wanted to be seen as a creative and forward thinking company rather then looking at it for money reasons, but how they treat their groups scheduling wise, future groups, and even trainee’s it seems to be more about money then what they want you to think.  It sometimes feels like a shady company that wants a sugar coat cover to hide what they do.
JYP Entertainment is always praised for their look on mental health in their company and health in general.  Which is a good quality to have, but they also are just doing the bare minimum.  They are not doing it proactively, instead of only doing it after it’s a huge issue to the point were it affects business.
Such as with Mina, it’s good that they didn’t force her to be on stage when she has a panic disorder, but also they let it get to the point where she couldn’t even go on stage.  With how much they promote and with no rest really given to the group until it’s absolutely necessary, meaning the girls’ are constantly working, I’m surprised only one member seems to have broken.
Their trainee system: They don’t seem to care so much about talent
For their trainee’s they seem to pick nice, wholesome people who work hard.  Which isn’t bad qualities at all.  They also have strict rules that they have to follow, such as the dating ban, the no going to bars ban (which makes sense to me considering the burning sun scandal and so on).  They don’t seem to have a diet for trainee’s, but from the views of their Founder, I think it’s probably an unspoken rule.
Compared to other companies, talent wise, they seem to focus more on dancing skills then actual singing.  When they do have singing, they seem to have a more westernized singing rather than a technical one.  This is kind of made apparent on the show Unnies, when Tiffany recorded with JYP.  Tiffany was trained at SM Entertainment which is known for having a more technical singing education.  During their recording he showed her a more breathy way.  She even stated, it was more about feeling rather then technique.  Which isn’t bad.  Most theatre performances want to emphasis feelings rather then technique, but if you can’t hit a note, there’s a too much of a problem.  Plus this doesn’t necessarily mean a good longevity career wise, because if you are using improper technique for long periods of time, it could result in vocal issues in the future.
Moving on….
On how they treat Male Groups: They last longer then the girl groups.
Current Male Groups they have:
2PM + Soloists
Day6 - Band + Soloists
JJ Project
Got7 + Soloists
Stray Kids
Jus2 (sub Unit)
3Racha (Sub Unit)
J.Y. Park (Soloist)
Former Notable Groups they had:
2AM
G.O.D.
Rain (Soloists)
So with The boy groups, they seem to have a more usual staggered comeback release date, other then Day6 which for a year, they released a single every month.  From my past experience, they seem to promote Got7 over Day6 and now that Stray Kids have entered the chat, Got7 is now getting less promotions resources wise.  Which makes sense in terms of business, because they are already established while Stray Kids being the new kids on the block have less of a fan base.  That is normal for most companies, given that the Kpop system relies heavily on the already established fandom that they create in the first couple of years rather than a long term comeback and promotional system.
2PM is from their 2nd generation of idols, along with their counterpart 2AM.  They had a similar single release date between the two like got7 does with stray kids.
I am mostly excluding G.O.D. and Rain from this conversation because they are from the very beginning, where JYP was just starting out.  G.O.D. is considered a legendary 1st generation group, and Rain is considered a legend in term so of male soloists himself.
Just mainly speaking on Got7, Day6, and Stray Kids, their most active male groups currently, here is a timeline from their debut years and how many singles they each had.
2014 - got7 Debut
Got7: 4 singles, 2 Ep’s, 1 Studio
2015 - Day6 debut
Got7: 4 Singles, 2 EP’s 1 Repackaged,
Day6: 1 Single, 1 Ep
2016
Got7: 3 Singles, 2 Ep’s,  2 Studio
Day6: 1 Single, 1 EP
2017 - Stray Kids Debut
GOt7: 3 Singles, 3 Ep’s
Day6: 12 Singles, 2 Studio
Stray Kids: 1 Single
2018
Got7: 5 Singles, 1 Ep, 1 Studio,1 Repackaged
Day6: 6 Singles, 2 Ep’s, 1 Compilation, 1 Studio
Stray Kids: 3 Singles, 4 Ep’s
2019
Got7: 3 Singles, 4 Ep’s, 1 Repackaged
Day6: 2 Singles, 1 Ep, 1 Compilation, 1 Studio
Stray Kids: 5 Singles, 2 Ep’s 1 Repackaged
To note, in 2020, Stray kids have 6 singles already planned or have happened.  Out of the three, Day6 seems to have the least amount of promotions all together minus one year when they released a single a month.
On how they treat Female Groups: Milk them for they got then leave them to dry Once they hit a certain age.
Current Female Groups they have:
Itzy
Twice
Former Notable Groups they had:
Miss A + Soloists
Wonder Girls + Soloists
15& + Soloists
Jeon Somi/Trainee - complicated thing
Baek A Yeon (Soloists)
They treat their female groups  differently then their male counterparts.  For them, they either care or they don’t.  Which is a weird thing to say, but you can tell by how they promote and how many singles they have.  For most JYP Groups, they seem to be more of an afterthought with recycled concepts over and over again. With Itzy is too early to tell they path that they will go with.  Will it be like MissA whose single count capped out at 8, with only one member the focus of the group?  Will it be like 15&, who was never actually given the chance to shine and disbanded before they were even known as a group?  Or will they overwork them like Twice?  Wonder Girls started off good, but once they went to US and didn't get the results that I think JYP wanted, they were fazed out, as they grew older.  JYP with their girl groups, seems to not know what to do with them once they hit a certain age.  Which isn’t just a JYP problem, but a KPOP problem.  The only differences is, he doesn’t wait till they are close to 30.  They tend to stop earlier.
Let’s look at the numbers shall we….
15& - Deserved better!
Debuted in 2012 at 15 (Both girls were 15)
1 Studio Album
5 Singles (4 of them on one album)
Disbanded after having a four year hiatus
Active only for 3 years (2012-2015)
Disbanded by at the age of 18.
Miss A - Should have focused on the group as a whole, not just one member.
Debuted in 2010 at average age of 19.5
2 Studio Albums, 2 single Albums, 3 EP’s
8 Singles...yeah just 8.
Active for 5 years (disbanded in 7 years)
Disbanded by the average age of 24.5 (2015) 26.5 (official Disbandment)
Wonder Girls - a Legend that had so much potential with their band concept!
Debuted in 2007 at the average age of 16.2
3 Studio Albums, 4 EP’s
15 Singles (with 2007 being their most releases in a year with 4)
Active for 8 years (Disbanded in 10) (In 2017 they had one goodbye song never promoted)
Disbanded by the average age of 26.8 (2017)
TWICE - Overworked for money
Debuted in 2015 at the average age of 16.8
3 Studio Albums, 2 Compilation Albums, 4 Repackaged, 9 EP’s (Still counting they haven’t disbanded yet)
23 Singles in 5 years (not counting the 1 in 2020).
They had 5 singles alone in 2017 only in korea
In 2018 they had 9 comebacks total between South Korea and Japan
Back to just 5 in 2019.
Average is 2-3 comebacks a year for girl groups for the first two years then 1 or 2 after that...TWICE’s least active year was 2016 with 2.  (Not counting their debut in 2015.)
As of 2020, their average age will be 21.8.
Also on solo artists, he has no idea what to do with them really, regardless of male or female.
Overall, I think I’m more critical of JYP as a company, because they try to hide the fact that they function like a business as opposed to YG or SM in terms of big three.  They want to be seen more of an artist themselves rather then a business, which I find hypocritical.  I based my opinions on facts and overall feel of the company that I get from them.
In terms of music, I tend to like vocal’s more, which also is not just a kpop thing.  It’s true for most music genres, which is a personal preference.
So To end on happy notes,
Groups I Like from the company:
Miss A
Wonder GIrls
Day6
Baek A Yeon
I know it’s a lot of former….
Some Songs that I like that you should check out from this company:
ITZY - Dalla Dalla
TWICE - What is Love?, Like OOH-AHH, Dance the Night Away
MISSA - Hush, Only You, I Don’t Need a Man, Bad Girl Good Girl
Wonder Girls - Tell Me, Nobody, Be My Baby, Why So lonely, Draw Me
Day6 - Congratulations, Out of My Mind, I need Somebody Lean On Me
Got7 - Just Right, Miracle, Hard Carry
Baek a Yeon - Sad Song, Shouldn’t Have, So-So Just Because
Stray Kids - Hellevator
Things to note in general:
Some of these are not just JYP issues, but also a kpop industry as a whole.  I tried to point those out, when I can.
It’s well known that Male groups are a gamble in terms of profit either they make a ton of money or the loose a ton of money, while Female groups always bring you money just with a shorter life span and don’t tend to out sell male groups (With some exceptions), which is why most small time companies debut female groups in order to gain money to debut a male group.
Also this just my opinion, so these issues might not be a problem for you, maybe you even prefer dancing groups to vocal groups.  Both are valid.  I’m just giving another opinion.

there’s not a lot I can say about s3 that hasn’t already been said (and articulated 200x better) but! here are some of my (albeit dumb) thoughts :~)
ep1 -isak leaning against the bathroom wall gets me EVERY time its such a powerful scene esp introducing you to s3 and tarjei..... spare some talent for the rest of us please -LiTeN gUtTeN fRa StRaNgEr tHiNgS -isak rly ties his pants w a shoelace...... -isak noticing even for the first time bc of his laugh.. whew.... also. i love this intro SOOO much bc its so non-monumental? theres no dramatic music or whatever but its not subtle.... like you know right away o shit love interest!! hello sir!! bc isak’s expression watching him :’) i could go on -isak is a bad liar HOWEVER this only applies to stupid nontrivial things e.g. the black sweatshirt. but when you look at him lying about like, his sexuality, he hides that shit well -”c00l” isak. i hate u so much -honestly all u have to do is look at even for .2 seconds and u can tell this boy has had a crush for a solid month bc he just looks awestruck (HOWEVER henrik’s acting is *chef’s kiss* bc its subtle enough to go undetected b4 you actually know eVEN SAW HIM ON THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL) -even isak and emma all sitting on the bench together is funny enough on its on but then a song called threeway comes on and like. julie sdshjsfdjfkjskd ep2 -there’s something so endearing about even’s handwriting idek what -i LOVE even’s video w mikael it reveals so much about him to us- how weird (ok we saw how weird he was w the paper towel thing but) and dorky he is? and his love of film! his view on love stories and how he sees the world :( but it also shows a lot abt isak because he saw even making stupid jokes about vladimir putin and was like yeah we about to fall in LOVE love -isak not using headphones to watch even’s video or r+j?? bde or general incompetence what’s the verdict guys -the isak watching r+j scene hits so hard like yall ever think about isak lying in bed at 3am staring at the ceiling probably thinking about how he’s never gonna get a beautiful world-shattering romance like that like ..... also him changing positions skam get out of my life go away ur too realistic -not to make this even more self-projection-y but isak simultaneously being the least emotionally vulnerable person ever but crying during r+j > -i made a post abt this already but even’s INTENSE staring vs isak’s “i have never looked anyone in the eye in my life” gets me it says so much about their characters -even said i see your bde move (asking me to buy you beer) and i raise u with my own (inviting you to my house after faking not having my id) -”if you listen to music” even is such a dick fsdjhsdff -when the message comes on...... i rlly do owe julie my life huh -”have you heard about my rapping?” “I have actually” have we talked about this enough????? 1. isak finally feels comfortable enough w even to flirt and his first move is to RAP for him jesus christ. keep in mind this is the same man who pulled that smooth af ibuprofen line w emma like...... 2. even has heard about isak’s rapping. either this means im-not-on-social-media even went out of his way to go thru homeboy’s instagram OR isak’s rapping is actually talked about. i- -the group chat messages. cant believe i forgot about the 2016 clown epidemic
ep3  -mahdi is a good friend and i love him. thank u -even wearing isak’s cap until he chucks it at him sjksfjsdjsd -how much yall wanna bet isak’s been listening to illmatic on repeat since last friday thinking abt even (even tho meeting sonja shattered his heart a lil) [also kinda an aside but i think a lot about how isak n even bonded over rap and how some homophobic lyrics in 90s etc rap might have impacted them? or how that little detail ties into julie’s story? e.g. halftime by nas, which is on illmatic] -whats worse. even staring into isaks soul wearing a size xs see-through white t shirt or isak staring at even for five (5) seconds before chugging his beer and immediately making out w emma. OR even crashing that party before it can start “i think you guys are bonding too much” cheesy ass shjhfsdhskdf -yall act like evak didnt invent hands. did even shaking isak’s shoulder telling him his apartment is nice mean nothing to u -im convinced robyn wrote call your girlfriend for this scene specifically bc how could anything fit so perfectly by coincidence -is anything better than egging isak on- even bech naesheim (2016) -idk if yall have read the scripts but i love the sock thing so much bc its soo true to how isak thinks and it makes everything so much more interesting and !!!
ep4  -i will never get over even sending isak bad seinfeld memes -even smacking open isak’s locker. first of all whew second of all u think as soon as he got into the stairwell he lowkey cried bc ow -parallel of isak saying “it’s 2016, why are you religious?” to sana vs. emma’s “it’s 2016, get out of the closet” to isak anyone :( -”takk sanasol!!!!” thank u isak for my life -I wanted to be with you aloneeeee -even’s face when he sees the pool like we get it youre a director -how many times do i need to say even is such a dick sjkfsd “does it look like i care about my hair?” “usually but not right now” like this would only work on isak i love soulmates!! -even just.. fully choking isak out ssdhgfd got em -when the first notes of im kissing you start ooh boy -even going in for the kill kiss and isak going from huh to oooo shit and pushing his lips out at the last minute. phenomenal
ep5 -ngl as soon as im not in love comes on my heart goes uwu bc like!!!! that song the meaNING.... them......... i jus love this scene sm like theyre in their own little bubble and they both feel so comfortable and at peace :((  -even leaving isak comics about an inside joke of theirs like yall mind if i scream -isak feeling left out from the conversation and his friends whew i felt that... and having them talk about how gross it is to makeout with a girl w facial hair?? blease :( -taking stock of isak’s nicknames: issy k, isabell, izzy, baby jesus, -im not even gonna bother trying to articulate thoughts on Pause bc it’s a literal masterpiece. thank u tarjei henrik and julie for inventing television with this one  -MAGNUS SDFKJSDFJKDSHK "oooh my name is Jonas and I love idealism and reading klassekampen and I don’t like plastic and I skate on a skateboard made of sustainable wood and wear old clothes because new clothes are bad for the environment and I only drink recycled water” screAMMM -what i said abt pause also applies to pride ugh its such a powerful scene and!! the beginning of kicks to isaks stomach. honestly what i fucking love about this episode is how it goes from hell yea best day w even ever to crying in the street within one week (s3 had the best balance of angst and payoff thanks) -even’s Soft Party Flannel... forever tainted by this scene rip -not knowing why even kissed sonja keeps me up at night -speaking of. how used and stupid isak must’ve felt when he saw even completely unbothered, hooking up w his ex at this party?? whew :( -bros is one of my all time favourite clips solely bc of the music?? lift me up gives me chills and when hold my liquor starts i LOSE it -ep5 and 6 remind me of that quote “to see what your characters are really made of you have to break them” because julie rlly goes all in and god it hurts so good
ep6 -never have i ever seen insomnia portrayed as accurately as tarjei did here and i remember when i first watched the cantina scene i was like. winded bc its SO true to sleep deprivation whew -i really like that isak wasnt together with even when he reached out for help and came out to jonas. bc it was him, on his own, being strong enough to talk to his friends and then eventually he was confident and secure enough in himself to be in a good place when even started reaching back out!! -i have no idea what its like to come out to someone, to be afraid of your friends rejecting you, everything isak went through. but tarjei’s acting of when, like, you have something you KNOW you have to tell someone, and youve put yourself in the position where youre going to have to tell them, but youre terrified and eventually just force yourself SAY the words??  -and isak’s smile when he realizes jonas is gonna be his bro no matter what :’)))
ep7 -weirdly one of my favourite isak looks (black t-shirt grey snapback c-c-c-combo) -”what’s your name again?” have i mentioned i love sana and isak bc i love sana and isak -jonas truly is the best friend oh man. perceptive, thoughtful, loving, laidback, a friggen BRO. tbh i was wary of him in s1 and thought he didn’t treat eva well (tho I recognized he loved her a lot, he was just bad at being a boyfriend) but jonas in s3?? just goes to show how powerful your perspective of someone can change viewing them in a different role!! because while jonas was a crappy bf, he literally is SUCH an incredible friend and his actions and words and just! him! in s3 completely redeemed any illwill I had towards him :’) -maybe im a little gay (up there with other s3 comedy classics such as “thats a boys name”) -mahdi season WHEN ugh a legend -’when someone asks isak if hes going to a family party’ literally what other reason for living do i have if not to read the boy squad text convos -isaks locker finally opening and his smile at evens drawing whewwwwwww!! also even rlly is that guy who wont text you back but will leave hand written love letters in ur locker -also. another stellar look from valtersen -slutt a meld meg is a whole masterpiece like what other piece of media has the RANGE -eskild: play hard to get. jonas: no smiley!!! isak: nah fam im good B)
ep8 -this episode is BEAUTIFUL bc you feel practically euphoric?? like hell yeah theyre finally together!! isak is out and accepted and even is done with sonja! but theres also this unsettling undercurrent of worry bc you know deep down something isnt right? why is sonja calling isak? why is even acting kinda strange? whats going on? yknow?? -literally never going to get over 5 fine frokner :~) even is such a goddamn nerd and he’s the man of isak’s dreams can u believe!!  -sana’s little speech is SO important in so many ways ooo i love her so much -also have we discussed eskild making evak do a photoshoot for him. highkey those are my favourite pictures of ALL time u can tell even was like hm strange but im down while isak was more omg guys stop🙄 omg haha eskild i cant believe youre making me cuddle with even for a photo🙄 i cant believe ur making me snuggle this dude for a pic!!!! definitely would not have done this otherwise!!! -magnus only realizing it’s THAT even after seeing how isak looks at him. whew -isak is so brave i rlly love that kid! his text to his mamma <3 -no r*make will EVER nail text conversations like mari/julie did w evak’s this week thanks for coming to my ted talk. i'd quote the best ones but it would literally double the length of this post (ok ill cave. “hahaha shut up❤️” GETS me) -you dont know whats in store but you know what youre here for. hallo -isak running around oslo with even’s clothes looking for him :( his heart is so big he cares about even so so much -when Part II (on the run) comes on in the credits its like a kick in the teeth honestly
ep9 -ive already screamed enough about cherry wine but god it fucks me up -cannot put into words how much I love eskild and how good of a person he is, he just has so much love in his heart  -”wait they have waffles here? see ya” -this convo is why i love skam so much!!!! magnus giving insight and good thoughtful advice to isak was such a brilliant move by julie (also truLy heartwarming) bc like. magnus is a flawed layered character! he’s dumb and ignorant and not very careful with his words BUT hes also such a sweet guy. i genuinely dont think he would hurt a fly and him talking about vilde (in ep10) is ;-; bc he really likes her and respects her and wants to be a gentleman! hes so loving and just. yeah. also i wonder if isak and magnus (and vilde) ever talked about having mentally ill parents and lent on each other for support bc like....<3 [sidenote- this is why i HATE b***** like they absolutely massacred magnus’s character and magnus did not deserve that!] -det er bare slutt........ very cool of tarjei to invent acting here. also the character development makes me WEEP like at first isak lied and told his pappa it was over bc its easier to brush stuff off and say you were joking than be vulnerable especially about 1. having a boyfriend and 2. saying youve already broken up?? but then isak was like hey im done with lying about who i am bc i want my life to be REAL and he told his dad the truth even if it was hard and even if he was trying rlly hard not to cry  -isak reaching out to even<3 standing up for even<3 -o helga natt. another scene i genuinely cannot comment on bc u cant really put into any written language how magical and breathtaking and heartbreaking and powerful and brilliant this scene is. so. -jk. obvs i cant say anything intelligent enough to give this scene justice but probably the most stunning piece of television i have ever had the privilege of watching. even’s text breaks my heart every gd time (esp since we never really see this side of him before finding out he’s bipolar? his guilt, insecurity, feeling like a burden, being scared of losing everyone in his life because he thinks he’ll hurt them). the music is SO beautiful i cry real tears as soon as the strings start. also the brilliance of JUST o helga natt playing and no dialogue except for isaks one line? isak’s realization when he sees the cross. him RUNNING across oslo to go to even. the FLASHBACKS all going backwards in chronological order until them smoking on the bench. isak looking at the bench and not seeing even and u can feel his heart breaking and urs breaks too! but then he remembers the bathroom and he turns and theres even and whewwww. du er ikke alene<3
ep10 -minutt for minutt is THE most healing clip im telling u. and like.. seeing even depressed really is hard and as someone who was very very depressed for 4-ish yrs of their life it rlly hits me? like when youre in an especially bad funk and you cant get out of bed and youre just numb and exhausted and feel so shitty and u want to be alone but you really dont???? could go on but literally i owe henrik holm my life for his portrayal of even  -not to be a soft bitch on main but when isak tucks the blanket over even and it keeps getting pulled off his back so isak just. covers that spot with himself? -i do love that call between sonja and isak bc once again! a flawed (realistic) human being -and isak thinking its his fault even is depressed? it means a lot that sonja told him its no ones fault, even is just bipolar. and i wonder if isak felt that way about his mamma as well, guilty for her being ill, and if what sonja said made him feel better about that situation too :( -lowkey random but when isak is rambling really fast and he goes “maybe we’ll get bombed tomorrow and talking about all this is a waste of time” it continually punches me in the throat bc that is /exactly/ how i ramble and think like tarjei........ pls -like eskild said. there really is so much love in isak’s little grumpy teenage body<3 -isak no longer just passively accepting life as its given to him, now he fights for him and even!!!!!  -isak is such a forgiving person and seeing him able to just accept things and move on? incredible -i remember when i first watched ep1 i was like oooo even and isak are gonna be kosegruppa partners and thats when theyll first get together, cooking food or smth!! but lmfao after episode 3? kosegruppa whomst???? also hilarious vilde thought isak of all people would willingly sign up for kosegruppa just to go to revue parties -even and linn friendship!!!! -cannot articulate how mf heartwarming it is to see even smiling and being more himself after being depressed (also thank u julie for having ups and downs coming out of his depression- its so true to life having one day when youre feeling awesome and then the next you feel awful again for no reason and its SO frustrating) -I had to stop watching passe pa meg cause it made me toooooo crazy! it would just be like: “I like seeing you laugh” and I was like: *SCREAMS* -im the fucking master of lying 😤 -literally don’t know why isak and even ragging on kosegruppa is so funny but “did you think I joined to have fun” gets me every time -I SAW YOU THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL -also even literally radiating love @ isak watching get snarky w vilde on the phone bc it reminded him of the first time he saw him! even rly is that boyfriend who thinks isak being pissy is the Best Thing he has Ever seen -halla boiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiz -literally the glo up of isak telling his friends the order in which he’d bang them -No filter! wow I love symbolism -so nice to see the girls together for a lil bit :) -the boys hyping up mags while also telling him to be respectful awwwwww -take desperate to a whole new level- Confucius  -who’s going to show isak how to properly hold a beer can -literally evak banter gets me thru the day. thank u tarjei and henrik for having phenomenal chemistry + improvisation skills + making isak and even the dumbest nerdiest boys i have ever seen -biology partner. and friend. ;-; -even literally is the biggest stoner blease -isak’s talk with eva is just sooooo<3 and not to be emo on main but every single word of the last few sentences he says hit me so gd hard because i feel the exact same way in my BONES -livet er nå 💛
final thoughts :( <3 -this season is so special. it feels like one really long oscar-worthy movie or smth?? i cant even exblain, its just magical. ALSO very dear to my heart. -julie really said you guys have seen isak sad and alone and repressed for the past two seasons so heres him falling in love with the best person in the world and coming to terms with who he is and being brave and opening up and finally being happy and living a real life -this season definitely feels different from s1/2/4 to me editing or production or music smth wise? as in, its got a lot fewer aesthetic shots and the cinematography seems a bit different if that makes any sense???? I also think this is the season most focused just on the main (i.e. not many- if any? sideplots going on) -literally will never get over the thought, love, and detail put into this season. when i say there is literally nothing i would change about it, i mean it and coming from my nitpicky ass??? means a lot lmfao. the acting, directing, music choices, symbolism...... sublime -s3′s cold rainy autumn aesthetic makes me ACHE for fall and also nostalgic for a highschool experience I never had lmao?? also. all the nighttime clips >>> -don’t know what else to say except thank u skam for my life

The End is Also the Beginning
Summary: It’s the end of the Mumbai show. Although Dan is bittersweet with endings, Phil knows that he’s going to make their show not only the ending to an era, but the beginning to a new one as well.
Written for the @phandomficfests: Tour Fest!
Word Count: 1.2k
Rating: Teen
Warnings: This fic contains Interactive Introverts spoilers!
This work is a side by side fic with @phloridas fic that can be found here :)
A/N: I’m super excited to share this with everyone since I really wanted to do a cheesy fic like this for the fic fest! haha Special thanks to my lovely group chat and to @moon-boye, @knlalla, @freckliephil, and @laddyplester for all being great beta’s for this fic and nit-picking it just enough to make this fic amazing in the end! Thank you all again! :)
It’s been nearly five months since their tour had begun, and there was so much that had happened in those five months that made a lifetime of memories from them. They started in Brighton, just a short distance from their home city, and now they’re about to perform their last show in Mumbai. To say it was bittersweet would be a complete understatement.
The tour itself wasn’t bittersweet, but the ending of this chapter of their lives was. Dan had felt the sadness and post-tour-depression woes  to dawn on him as soon as they touched down in Mumbai. After today, there would be no more constant shows. No more meeting fans all of the time. No more performances. No more Interactive Introverts.
The thought made him sad.
When they had started planning Interactive Introverts, it seemed like a far-fetched idea that would never work. They had been just lying in bed that day, post-sex (but no one needed to know that), when Phil spewed out the words ‘I wanna do another tour’. They brainstormed random and silly ideas back and forth with each other until Dan had jokingly said ‘maybe we should just ask our audience what they would want’. Nearly instantly, the tour was born.
When the tour started, it was bumpy. They made a few slip ups, like being caught in the fact that they made the London show and the Glasgow show exactly the same. And also the time Dan fell on his ass on his stage and nearly cried. Or when Dan was on the wheel being sacrificed and he called Phil a ‘dick’ in front of the audience of their young viewers and some parents. And then there was also that one time where Dan forgot his lines, laughed, and then snorted into the microphone (turns out some viewers had filmed that, cheeky little shits).
But now, they’re in the interval for their last show and Dan is feeling it in his chest. The weight of how this was the last time they’d be performing the second half of the show was heavy. He was gearing up to be on the wheel—like he’d been for majority of these shows—and he was zipping up the plastic suit. Phil was stood back, scrolling on his phone and looking at all of the tags for the show, checking out what everyone was saying.
“Apparently, everyone is loving the fact that you got to be a furry in the simulation portion.”
Dan scoffed. “Ha. Ha. Very funny that my tail got caught in the door and I slipped and died. Very. Unfortunate.”
Phil chuckled, doing his weird tongue thingy that Dan loved so much, even though he liked to pick on it as well. “At least you didn’t end up in hell with the danandphilcrafts version of yourself.”
“Hm…don’t know. I’ve probably got a golden seat embellished with my name already waiting for me down there.”
In the background, the beginning of The Final Countdown started playing and Dan sighed. Show time. He needed to get up on the wheel…for the last time.
* * *
It was getting to be the end of the show. Dan was poised at his piano behind the screen as Phil finished up his diss track. He had his fingers already sitting on the keys so he could start playing as soon as Phil said his cue.
Then he heard it.
The screen opens and there is smoke: Dan always did want to make a dramatic entrance. As he begins to play, he sees Phil stood there on the side of the stage, his backwards cap making him look like a dork. But he was Dan’s dork.
He begins to sing. He thinks his voice is trembling slightly and he hopes no one else can hear it. These lyrics mean a lot to him. They’re the story of he and Phil and he likes being able to tell people about it.
He continues to sing, people are laughing, some are singing along. He can hear it all and it’s making him emotional that this is the last time he’ll ever sing this song for others. Then he stops and looks up for a split second to Phil sitting on the piano.
He loves how Phil glows in this light, so calm and so poised as he watches him.
Dan loves him so much.
And then it’s their duet. Dan knows that they’re not in sync, nor are they harmonised. But he stills loves singing along with Phil. He always has. Even when they’re in their kitchen and singing along to the songs of Mamma Mia at three AM while wine drunk.
And then the duet is over, and people are clapping and cheering. And everything is done. It’s over. They’re over. The show is over. Dan feels like he could cry. Maybe he is? He feels kind of numb right now.
But then the cheering stops and there are some gasps coming from the audience. He’s confused. Why is that? Did something set on fire? He doesn’t smell smoke.
He looks around because he’s honestly confused until he sees it and his hands come up to his mouth in shock. In front of him, there was Phil, on one knee, with a black velvet box opened to show a beautiful black band glimmering under the light.
“Dan, I’ve been wanting to do this for so long and I have been struggling to find the correct time.” He hears Phil begin. “We’ve become more open and we’ve agreed that we wanted to make ourselves more known and our relationship more visible. That was the whole point of our lives this past year, right? I’ve loved you since I first met you, and I’ve known for these past ten years that I wanted to marry you and spend the rest of my life with you.” Phil’s voice was now choked up, and Dan could feel some stray tears coming down his cheeks as well. “Will you marry me?”
Dan’s answer is immediate. It comes out a little bit choked but he manages a “yes!” pretty quickly before sliding off his piano seat and throwing his arms around Phil. They don’t kiss because he isn’t ready to show that level of PDA yet. But they do hold each other as the audience cheers and whistles. He lets Phil place the ring on his finger and it’s a little bit big, but they’ll worry about the resizing later.
He looks down and he’s in shock. The black band stands out against his complexion and he has no words. As he stands up, with Phil beside him, they wave their goodbyes to the fans and Dan can’t help but stare at the glimmering black on his left ring finger. As they stand in the back, waiting for the screen to close, he takes Phil’s hand in his and he smiles widely.
This is definitely an end of an era for them, but it’s also the beginning of a more amazing one as well. Up next: house shopping, wedding planning, and dog adopting.
But that can wait after they spend the next few days in a haze of love as they travel around Mumbai.

youtuber!changbin
omg i’m excited for this one bc it’s the loml
s e o  c h a n g b i n
enjoy :)
Chan | Woojin | Minho | CHANGBIN | Hyunjin | Jisung | Felix | Seungmin | Jeongin
introducing the one and only. . .
Changbin “I love dark” Seo!!!!
so, as you (probably) already know
he has done lots of collabs with chan and jisung under 3racha
that’s how he met the rest tbh; chan messaged him and jisung both for a 3-person collab and then he stuck with them bc they made some bombass tracks
and he also manages the joint StrayKids youtube account where their gameplays are posted
he has too much time on his hands
which is also why he posts a lot of diss tracks about the other guys
it’s all in good nature, no harm done
and his insults are the bEST
he’s actually a lyrical genius
and no one can hate him or what he says in his raps because
1) what he said is probably true
2) if you hate on it, he’ll come out with a second diss track that’s much worse
his tracks are usually about how chan is like the dad of the group
but everyone just uses him for his money (not in a mean way!!!!!)
or about how felix is desperate for changbin’s love but it’s unrequited (he’s still salty about the forced kiss ok, give him time pls)
he hasn’t made a diss track about jeongin though because the boy is too precious okay no one can say anything bad about him except jyp but hes a snake so screw him
you may be asking what changbin could’ve said about seugmin bc he’s also heckin’ precious but i’m afraid you’re gonna have to wait for seungmin’s one to find out ;)
jisung once hacked into changbin’s youtube account
hacked meaning he guessed changbin’s password (hint: it was ilovegyu<3)
and changed the profile picture to a screenshot he got from a video hyunjin took of changbin being dared to act cute
the video was vv cringey so jisung figured this was the perfect revenge for that diss track changbin made of him
and he also thought changbin needed a change from the pitch black profile pic he had up before
yeah, he loves dark thaaaaat much
as well as producing music and gaming
changbin also dabbles in skateboarding and a biiit of parkour
he does this with felix
(when he has a quick method of escaping felix’s wrath, he can tolerate time together)
his skateboard is. . .
you guessed it: black
probably has a skull or some other ‘scary’ design on the front too
but felix managed to notice a small sticker of a munchlax (the pokemon gyu is fyi) on the back too :) cutie :)
changbin really loves skateboarding because he thinks it looks cool and goes well with his dark concept
but then he always ends up bumping into something because sometimes he pulls his cap too far down and so he can’t see very well
idiot
it’s really funny seeing him try to act nonchalant about tripping up
when everyone around saw
and felix videoed it and is laughing his ass off
changbin threatened to murder felix if he posted that video anywhere
and felix was like “;) good thing i haven’t posted it... i did send it to the SK group chat though”
bro felix was literally running away for his life and changbin was right behind him on his skateboard tryna run him over
that was not a good day to be felix tbfh
the parkour he does is usually quite simple (about as simple as parkour w/ a skateboard can get)
but he looks badass whilst doing it so it’s cool
his favourite move is when he rides perpendicular to a rail and so the board goes under the rail and he jumps over the rail
it took a while to perfect the landing but he was really determined and now he’s mastered it i’m so proud of him
whenever he posts these videos he gets a lot of comments
because with his music & gaming videos his face usually isn’t seen
but with this, it is
so there are a lot of comments about him being b e a u t i f u l
the comment with the most likes was from jisung who was like “mr dark?? more like sunshine boy! :) keep up the great work i <3 your vids!!”
he was close to reporting that comment just so it would go away lmao salty
but instead he ranted to gyu like “sunshine boy? i’m not a sunshine boy, i’m a dark, dark man, right gyu?”
the group have a lot of hang-outs at his house (bc dude look at his house wtfffff it’s so shiny)
and his mum is the cutest!!! always giving them food as soon as they enter
she also LIVES to embarrass her child, poor changbin :(
constantly pulling his cheeks, giving him lil’ kisses and always calling him her “little prince” or some other equally cheesy variant
the guys lowkey thinks it’s cute and know she’s only doing this for fun, but they still use it as an opportunity to laugh at him
one time she whipped out the photo album with baby changbin pics and omg they’ve never seen changbin redder in the face than that day
no one knows if he was fuming or just really embarrassed lmao
what hurt the most was how jeongin - the baby of the group - was laughing and calling him a “cute baby”
and obviously hyunjin had to go “wow dude you were so cute, what happened to you??”
his mum, bless her soul, was like “he takes after his father that’s why”
#SavageSeoMama (this is where he gets inspiration for his diss tracks)
oKAY BACK TO GAMING!!!!
he mainly plays shooting games like battlefield, CoD and csgo with the guys
loves it when they play with just them in a local match, not online (mainly talking about CoD here)
because then he can put on friendly fire so that he can kill his team mates lmao
he’s a major kill scene stealer and proud - truly evil
the guys eventually kick him out of the lobby
only bringing him back once he’s apologised to them
to this day, he hasn’t apologised lmfao
when they kick him out he’ll just start playing online
because changbinnie don’t care
he loves killing people’s hype
for instance, jisung will be cheering over the mic like “yay!! i got the last kill”
and changbin will just reply like “ok and?”
jisung: “wHY CAN’T YOU JUST BE HAPPY FOR ME?!?!?!? I <\3 YOU”
the real question is: how did jisung say “<\3″?
he kills his own hype too though
like when he gets the final kill and suavely goes “wow much skill”
and felix is like “yeah!! wow!!! that was so cool changbinnie!!!”
he’s just like “yeah it wasn’t that good, stop that”
sometimes when they’re all playing free-for-all
he’ll start singing his threats
like he’ll be two steps behind seungmin and just start lowly singing “seungmin, i’ve got your back~”
and like normally someone might interpret that to mean “dw bro i got your back, i’m protecting you, you’re covered”
but nah
changbin straight up stabbed seungmin in the back
seungmin felt that betrayal in his heart
so on the one hand he’s singing to people before he kills them which is heckin’ creepy
but on the other hand he has a beautiful voice so it’s not that bad???
but on the other, other hand (idk imagine 3 hands or smth) he’s technically being nice by giving them a heads-up before he kills them so
really
they should appreciate his kindness
:)
ok no i can’t defend him he’s too into these killing games
the only person he likes teaming up with is hyunjin and here’s why:
chan talks about strategy too much (dude all you gotta do is kill ok relax a bit)
woojin, as previously discussed, makes really bad rookie mistakes
minho gets too frantic when ambushed and just ends up dying without fighting back
jisung is too talkative
felix is also too talkative and is too risky (he’s literally jumped in front of changbin’s character dramatically like “I’ll save you!”. jeongin ended up killing the both of them together lmfao #DoubleKill)
seungmin just runs around in the middle of the battlefield with NO strategy
and jeongin is jeongin. he’s too precious for changbin’s lethality
so that leaves hyunjin. he’s the right amount of talk-y (yes that’s now a word), he has gr8 gameplays, he can handle a multiple-person attack AND he can be really frickin’ ruthless at times
gotta love that boi
felix is always fueled to kill hyunjin for stealing his man
but honestly changbin would rather just solo it because “i work alone, buddy” [sOMEONE GET MY REFERENCE PLS]
wow this has gotten rlly long soz
imma just end it here:
although changbin loves killing them in games and mocking them through his diss tracks
the guys know that they can trust him 100% and that he really, truly does have their backs (even seungmin’s)
and he’s always prepared to fight anyone that hates on any of the guys because only he can do that okay they’re his family and no one else can do that to them
he feels blessed to have them and whenever they come around to his house he’ll get lowkey sentimental bc wow, this is his family that bring a smile to his face everyday
and although he probably won’t admit it without jisung forcing him to, he really loves these guys and is glad to have met them
thank you for reading this far lmao hope you enjoyed it & feedback is always welcome!!
i saw some tag where someone talked about waiting for hyunjin’s one, and bc i’m doing this in age order he’s coming soon
and now just to playfully annoy them i wanna change the order
just kidding
ok not kidding i wanna change the order but i’m too lazy to since i’ve already planned it out
also!! is the desktop theme okay for everyone?? pls let me know of any improvements! :) thank youuuuuuuuuuu

Taylor,
You have brought so many good people together and here are thirteen (totally not on purpose) of them. We get to lean on each other, talk about life, freak out over you, support you and support one another. It’s amazing to have people who understand how you have changed all of our lives, whether we’ve been a fan for 11 years or 2 years, there is an amazing story behind all of us. We can all relate to the darkness you have pulled us out of, without even knowing it. We have a group chat that is so welcoming, loving, hilarious and consist of a lot of “all caps” replies about how we died dead. We hope one day we can all meet each other in person and meet you and thank you for everything you’ve done for each of us. We all have a story, we all have a reason why we love you and support you and here they are...
@youre-s0-gorgeous - @taylorswift One of the first times I remember hearing your music was when love story was on the radio...I can't believe that was so long ago now, 9 years! Since then I've always enjoyed listening and jamming along to your music (not caring if anyone sees me dancing/singing), especially now when I'm older and actually delve into the meaning behind the lyrics and see how I relate to entire songs or even just parts in some way. Like in welcome to new york, ‘and you can want who you want / boys and boys and girls and girls.’ That song came out right around the same time that I was figuring myself out like who I truly was and who I liked and stuff, and knowing those lines were in such a great song really gave me the courage that it doesn’t matter who I like/want. And now I know that it shouldn’t matter that I’m gay, because there’s some place where I’ll fit in just fine, and people that’ll accept me no matter what.
Being able to relate to these incredible songs that you write just makes me so AHDKS!! Even just listening to all your songs is so incredible, being able to love everything you have to say in them all. And even when I'm not loving your music, I love seeing all the time and effort you put in just for us swifties!
One day I know I'll get to be one of the fans that meets you, even if it's just seeing you on stage at one of the shows for the rep tour!
Love you forever and always ❤️❤️💕💕,
@youre-s0-gorgeous (also @pkmnacetrainerdan)
@casey-kay-9 - @taylorswift, where do I even start? You have been my sunshine for 11 years. It’s crazy how someone who may not know you exist can be the only reason you are still breathing. I’ll never forget being a little girl and riding in my dad’s truck and hearing Tim McGraw for the first time on the radio. I fell in love and I was too young to even understand the concept of love, but this is where everything started. My parents have always supported me and my love for music, so inevitably my dad bought me your first album a few days after. Everything changed and I realized I wasn’t the only one who loved music the way I do. Seeing you live your dreams made me want to chase mine and still does to this day. You’ve been there for me when I had my first heartbreak, when someone I loved went to heaven, when someone I loved didn’t love me back, when someone treated me like I was disposable, when I felt like I didn’t belong, when I’m too self conscious to go in public, when I’m happy, when I’m sad, when I feel alone, when I came out, when my mom got sick, when I got sick, when I feel defeated, when my demons almost got the best of me and when I stood back up each time I was knocked down. You’ve always been consistent in my life, you’ve always felt like a friend. Thank you, from the very bottom of my heart. I could never find the words to explain how your music has saved me. It still does, every day. I truly wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for you. Thank you for always being humble, always shaking it off and teaching me to do the same. Thank you for not letting the critics win, for making fans feel like friends, for being kind, for being honest and for never giving up on love and your dreams. Seeing you succeed gives me so much hope. I’ve had the time of my life fighting dragons with you and thank you for fighting my demons with me. I hope one day I can hug you and thank you properly. Never change and remember, you have an army behind you. I love you, Taylor. - Casey
@tabeainwonderland13 - Hey Taylor,
I wanted to tell you what you really mean to me.
First of all I want to tell you that you literally safe my life every single day.
I went through times when I didn’t have friends, was bullied, hated myself and thought about ending my life. In this very dark time of my life you were always there to lift me up. You made me smile, feel happy and feel like I’m worth it. You still do that every single day.
I also want to let you know that you saved me from the deepest point of my life. The last year has been horrible when it comes to my mental health. My depression and my anxiety got really really bad. I struggled with panic attacks so much and it broke me inside. I locked myself in my room just so I wouldn’t get a panic attack in public. I cried almost every night just because I didn’t want to live anymore.
And then this summer you came back. When you started posting again and announcing your Album my heart bursted out of happiness. When LWYMMD came out I was the happiest I’ve ever been in such a long time. And it got even better when you kept on dropping the other 2 songs and when you started noticing fans on tumblr again.
I can say because of you my mental health got so so much besser! My panic attacks became less and you are like a magically medicine for depression. You kinda make me burst out of happiness and I feel so much joy when you’re in my life. I just want to thank you for that with all of my heart.
You lift me up when I’m down. I didn’t want to live anymore because I didn’t see any reason to live in my life. I am so happy to call you my lifesaver and I hope one day I get to say thank you for you in person. You are my recovery and I’ll forever be thankful that you’re lifting me up when I’m at the deepest point of life.
You’re also such an inspiration to me. Since I can remember I’m doing music. I sing, write songs and play instruments. Even when people made fun about me for having that dream I always thought about you and you give me the strength to believe in myself and to follow my dreams.
Thank you Taylor. I love you more than I can put into words. 💗
I love you so much and I hope one day I will be able to hug you so tight and to thank you for everything you did for me and everything you do every single day!
I can’t wait for your next tour! Your concerts are my happy place. When I’m at your shows I forget everything and I can just be myself and don’t have to be embarrassed because of my awkward dancing and because of me screaming the lyrics to all of your songs. Hopefully I’ll get that feeling of pure happiness again soon...
Sending you so much love!!
Tabea
@hales-13 - Taylor has always been more than a celebrity to me. I started listening to her music when I was in the 3rd grade. I fell in love with her personality just as much as her music. I’m 16 now, and Taylor still continues to help me through the good and bad times. Taylor wrote about a time in her life were she learned some of the hardest lessons: when she was 15. For me, that year was this year, as I turned 16. This past year, Taylor has helped me push through loneliness, confusion, and heartbreak, but also had taught me how to learn from my past. I know as I continue to grow and as my life changes, Taylor and her music will always be there for me. Even though Taylor doesn’t know who I am, she still makes me and all her fans feel appreciated and loved. I could never express how thankful I am for Taylor, and how much I love her. I’m so proud to be one of her many fans, but mostly, her friend.
-Haley :)
@sreeparnawestliferghosh - Taylor has taught me to face my emotions. I've had some pretty bad stuff going on in my life ever since I was small. I always surrounded myself with music. She has helped me survive. If it wasn't for her, i would've been diagnosed with some pretty horrible mental illnesses(Yep, plural). Her music was like a cocoon where I'd find myself protected with rainbows and unicorns and butterflies and just warmth. I'd like to experience that with a hug someday. Taylor, i owe you big time. I have a strongheld life mantra which upto now, I've lived by completely : own up to your emotions. I respect them all cause they're me! Taylor Alison Swift helped me find myself like that. Whatever this version of me is, I like me. Not only while listening to her songs. Even while reciting her lines, trying to find meaning, desperately inserting myself in the scenario I sure ain't a part of, just to feel closer to her, known by her cause she's always had that affect on me... Like she'll protect me. She was (is) like my own vibranium shield.
@lunaatearth - Taylor has changed my life with being a constant source of joy and light for me no matter what happened. I cannot thank her enought for that. She was there with singing "Enchanted" and "Better Than Revenge" to me when I went though my first love and break up, she gave me the strenght to be happy and trust again with "Clean" and "Begin Again", she cheered me up with "Mean" or "22" every morning before school when I was too anxious to move and she always guarantees to get me on the dancefloor with "Shake It Off" or "IKYWT". She helped me so many times to see the silverlining when no one else could. She showed me a way to deal with life. Through her I learned how to stand up for myself and everyday she inspires me to be the best version of myself.
She's my best friend, I am incredibly proud of her and love her from the bottom of my heart.
@dearie13 - Taylor Swift is the most amazing person in the world. She’s inspired and helped me so much through her music. But out of all the albums and songs, Fifteen is the one that sticks with me. Because I wanted to date the boy on the football team, and my momma waited up, I thought he was the one, and I believed him when he said he loved me. This song speaks to me so much and I would really like to thank you Taylor for telling me that with a little time, I’m gonna be ok again. I haven’t found who I’m supposed to be but Taylor is helping me find myself too. I love you Taylor Forever and Always❤️💋 -Kayla
@onlyreputaytion - Ever since I first heard Love Story in 5th grade, you words and music have always been there for me through the best and worst of times. When I feel alone, vulnerable, or sad, I can count on your music to lift me up. When I’m feeling excited and happy, your music is the first thing I dance to. But you have also brought amazing people into my life solely through our love for you and your music. To me, you exemplify poise, persistence, kindness, and, of course, talent. You’re positivity and compassion for so many people is inspiring- I am so thankful to have had you as a role model as I have grown up from a little 10 year old to now a freshman in college! You make me want to work harder every day. Even though I have never been able to afford to see you on tour, I am determined to see you live this time around. Thank you thank you thank you for just being you, you’ll never know how proud I am and how much I love you❤️
@paralyzed--by-it - I was 8 hears old when I heard Tim McGraw for the very first time at a summer party. I heard some of my friends singing it for everybody..AND I FELL ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE! I asked them what it was and they told me... her name was Taylor Swift, I had never heard of her before. Who would've thought that for the next decade, this woman would completely change my life, helping me get through some of my darkest moments or even just making the good days brighter, and becoming a huge inspiration in my life. Her music, her lyrics, her voice is what made me become a fan. But who she is, her character, is what made me become a 'swiftie'. She's unapologetically herself, warm hearted, the kindest, and goes beyond what's humanly possible to make sure we feel loved. And even though her music has changed, she hasn't.
And there have been a lot of changes in my life. People that have come and gone, friendships that have faded away, but never Taylor. She was always there. For the last 11 years, her and her music have always been there for me when no one else was. T, if you ever get a chance to read this I just want to thank you. You truly have been a best friend to me at times when I've felt completely alone and I honestly don't know where I'd be right now if it weren't for you. I could truly never thank you enough for what you have done for me and what you have gotten me through. Just know that you deserve all the happiness in the world, I'm so proud of you, and loving you.. that's the best decision I've ever made💖
- Madison
@long-livee-tswift - Taylor💗 thank you so much for existing. Your music always spoke to me and it was something I could always relate to no matter what kind of emotion I was going through, and your lyrics gave me advice but they also just helped me grow. Each day I am blown away by your actions toward us and how genuine you are with your fans aka friends and how you bring so much positivity to our lives. Thank you for being such an amazing role model to everyone of all ages and thank you for never losing sight of who you are. You make me want to be better and your music inspires me every day and your courage is astonishing. I can’t wait for the day I get to meet you and tell you how much you’ve changed my life and how much I love you for it. CANT WAIT FOR TOUR AND I HOPE TO FINALLY COME FACE TO FACE WITH YOU 💕
Much love, Sam
@karinachavezh - Taylor, you taught me that’s it’s okay to change because you’ve changed your hair, style, and genres over the years, but you’ve stayed true to yourself. You have helped me be myself and you reminded me that I’m not the opinion of others who don’t know me. When I was bullied I felt unimportant and like I didn’t matter, but listening to your music helped me feel special. It’s hard not to care what others think about you, but you’ve helped me shake it off.
@islandbreeze-13 - Hey Taylor!! I just wanted to say thank you for being you the last 11 years. When I was a junior in high school I got really sick and was in and out of the hospital that entire year. None of the doctors knew what was wrong. I lost my friends..I lost my spot on the basketball team and I was really close to losing myself. But I always had you and your music to help me through those times when I would feel like I was losing control. Whenever I had to go through another test, or got told any bad news I would always just put my headphones on and listen to your music. It was the only thing keeping me together. When I got better and it was time for me to chose what I would spend the rest of my life doing I wanted to dedicate my life to something would help others just like you helped me. I became a nurse so I can help those who really need my help. I wouldn’t have been able to get here without you. I owe my entire life to you because without you I don’t know where or who I would be. I’m so happy my younger self picked someone so kind, gracious, and giving as you to look up to. (High five little arielle🙏🏻)
I hope I can give you the biggest hug someday and thank you for literally keeping me alive.
@swiftiesfanatic - I fell in love with Taylor’s music when I was 11 years old. My best friend auditioned for our 5th grade talent show with “Our Song.” It was the first time I heard it and naturally I went home and listened to her entire discography. Later on when I was 16, I was learning how to drive and when I was driving down a country road, I hit a dog. It might seem silly to some people, but it really traumatized me and I began to get increasing anxiety about everything, which lead to my longest depressive episode ever, at 14 months. Taylor’s music, in particular her albums, Red and 1989, were albums that reminded me I would get through the dark tunnels and come out stronger and happier. These albums showed me that while I might not be able to shake my depression off, I can still be happy and live my life to the fullest. Nobody in my life outside of tumblr understands the bond I have with Taylor and her music, but I always have her to remind me that everything’s going to be okay. And I love you for that Taylor❤️
There are our stories. Taylor, there is one things we all have in common, that’s you. No matter what obstacles we’ve faced, you have been there for us, every single time. You haven’t let us down and it means more to us than you could ever know. There is something that heals all of our pain, something that makes everything worthwhile and that is love. Thank you for loving us, in return we will always love you back harder.
Sincerely,
Thirteen Swifties

He’s Matty Healy of art-pop heroes The 1975. She’s Heather Baron-Gracie of pop newcomers Pale Waves. The first time Matty heard Heather’s band he declared he needed to work with them. Two singles, a video and a mega US tour later, Pale Waves are on course to be your new favourite band. We meet the mentor and mentee in London.
The hub of The 1975’s empire is not, as you might expect, an airy, pink neon-lit, minimalist space with Rothkos hanging on the walls. It is, instead, a top-floor unit in a building on a courtyard trading estate in west London. The floor below has a place stocking Christmas supplies, and even on this humid September day, Santa’s grotto twinkles back at you through the open door.
Upstairs is the HQ of Dirty Hit, the record label founded by The 1975’s manager, Jamie Oborne, as a vehicle for the band he discovered as Cheshire teenagers. Now it’s home to some of the UK’s most exciting bands, from the established, such as Wolf Alice, to rising stars such as The Japanese House – whose ‘Pools To Bathe In’ EP was produced by 1975 frontman Matty Healy and drummer George Daniel – and new signing No Rome. There’s a particular up-and-coming band that Healy has really taken under his wing, taking them on tour in the States, co-producing their first two singles and directing the video for the second, ‘Television Romance’ – and that band is Pale Waves.
“I was just so excited to hear a band that was positioned in the left, an alternative band, that was so in tune with pop sensibilities,” says Healy, sat in Oborne’s office, the pungent smell of marijuana emanating from somewhere about his person. “It kind of reminded me of The Cure or The Primitives or bands like that – it’s the happy/sad thing loads of bands have thrived on. I saw them first at Dingwalls, and there was this truth in there. There’s a naivety and a purity to them and an honesty to them that kind of comes through in their music.”
Frontwoman Heather Baron-Gracie, who receives a warm, brotherly hug from Matty after plonking herself on the sofa next to him, puts it more succinctly: “I just love pop music, and when it makes you feel something, it’s even better.” Heather, 22, formed the band four years ago with her best mate Ciara Doran. Joining later were guitarist Hugo Silvani and bassist Charlie Wood. Two women, two men; two goths, two skinny indie boys – it’s a look that shouldn’t work, but it just does. “People say we’re like two sets of twins,” says Heather. “You couldn’t dress Hugo and Charlie up as goths because it just wouldn’t work. Well, we do the make-up sometimes and dress them up in my little skirts and things – but that’s just for us.”
Matty is at pains to point out the precise extent of his involvement in Pale Waves. “The songs were there, so my involvement in writing was only editing,” he says. “I always have a fear of being overbearing. I know what it’s like to be want to be prided on your own merits, and I would hate to be resented by an artist for feeling I’d strong-armed my involvement for my own personal gain.”
Mainly, the message is that Pale Waves are perfectly capable of writing songs on their own – Matty’s a facilitator, not a svengali. And what songs they are. The group’s two singles so far are the near-flawless sugar rush of 2016’s ‘There’s A Honey’ and the heart-melting crush of 2017 follow-up ‘Television Romance’.
The video for the latter was directed by Matty. What’s he like in director mode? “I’m very aggressive, but Heather gives as much as she gets so it’s all good,” he says. “We don’t do miming, we do have the track on at full volume. So I have to shout above the track, ‘LOOK SEXY!’ That’s pretty much the only thing that I shout: ‘LOOK AT THE CAMERA! LOOK F**KING SEXY!’”
The video sees Pale Waves performing in an Ashton-under-Lyne council flat in that looks like a hipster’s wet dream – all retro furnishings and kitsch collectables. It actually all belongs to the 92-year-old woman who lives there. “She had no clue what was going on but she was loving it, watching videos of The 1975 on people’s phones,” says Matty. “She didn’t actually believe it was me in the ‘Love Me’ video, because I was there with my Spielberg cap on taking it all very seriously.”
The first time Heather saw The 1975, it was accompanying her cousin, who’d won tickets to a gig. The last time, it was when Pale Waves were supporting the band on their two-month 2017 tour of huge US venues. “The first night was absolutely mental. I couldn’t even look up because I was like, ‘Oh my god’. We went from playing to about 10 people in Ireland to 7,000 people in Phoenix. It was a bit unreal.” Did Matty have any advice about that? “Yeah,” says Heather. “He said, ‘Just get on with it!’”
Though they’re friends, the tour didn’t provide much time to hang out. Matty was frazzled from the months on the road, and trying to get his head around his own band’s next album. “I was quite busy and quite down and quite emo – I’d been on tour for so f**king long,” he says. “We were pretty much doing a show every day and then when you have a day off you’re in your own little hotel and the lights are out. But it was great to watch Pale Waves grow as a band.”
Heather often writes songs with US coming-of-age films playing in the background for inspiration – her favourite being ‘Adventureland’. That sense of the apocalyptic emotion of teenage life lives in her lyrics too. “Those films set you up for going to America, but when I went I was kinda like, it isn’t what I expected. Like, we went to Hollywood at midnight and I was so scared because there’s a lot of mental people just roaming about. I was going all, ‘Take me home!’”
1975 fans have already embraced Pale Waves, and not just on Matty’s say-so. The bands share a mentality for finding romance in the everyday, and each group is formed around a creative core based on a tight friendship: Healy and best mate George, Heather and Ciara.
“That’s the thing I identify with most, the duality between them reminds me of the relationship between me and George,” says Matty, who, post-success, bought a house across the road from his bandmate to make sure he’s only ever a short skateboard ride away. “I did notice on tour that they never really did separate, never one without the other.”
Heather found Ciara on social media before starting university. “I saw a picture of her in this big group chat and I thought, ‘She’s the only one who really looks like someone I’ll get along with’. The first day we got there we met up and haven’t really been apart since then. I get scared thinking that she might not be a part of my life one day.”
Though they formed in Manchester, Heather’s home town is Preston, a no-nonsense city where the way she dresses – Robert Smith of The Cure by way of Robert Smith of The Cure – marks her out as someone different. “When I go back home to Preston, they do not take to it very well,” she says. Needless to say, her look isn’t as big a deal to her as it is to other people. “Everyone who meets me thinks I’m in a heavy metal band,” she says. “I never really call myself a goth, but others do. I’m like, maybe I am a goth?”
Matty – who adopted his own take on Heather and Ciara’s style for NME’s cameras – says their commitment to it is a mark of their authenticity. “The make-up, the hair, the whole thing, it’s not a set-up for the band. I can see those two girls being like that and needing to be in a band to express that, needing to find each other.”
Though she stands out, Heather says her teenage years were about “keeping a low profile. I didn’t really find people that I got along with,” she explains. “At school I would go to a room to play piano when everybody else was talking in the cafeteria. I’m not really into that – I’m not really a massive social person. Ciara’s always telling me off for being socially awkward but I’m just like, ‘I can’t’.”
Heather has been writing songs since the age of 11. As a teen, she would write “kind of Avril Lavigne pop”; more recently it was “folksy, emotional and stripped-back acoustic stuff like Ben Howard – not very cool music.” It changed when she met Ciara. “She said, ‘Lets try something different, because I want to make people dance at our shows and not kinda just cry: they can cry and dance.’”
Right from that first week at university, Pale Waves became Heather and Ciara’s sole focus. The band rehearse daily, and dedicate every minute of spare time to music. University was a slog she had to get through. Jobs were another unwelcome distraction. “My parents tried to get me into this job entering numbers into a computer-based system for the NHS in St Helens, and I was just not doing it,” she says. “I went to the interview looking like this, but they offered me the job anyway. It was Monday to Friday with some weekends and my brain would just be fried.”
Heather’s days of keeping a low profile may soon be over. Even now, and particularly in Manchester, she’s recognised on the street by a growing band of obsessed fans. “They always call me ‘queen’. It’s dead cute. Or ‘mum’, I get ‘mum’ a lot,” she says. “I keep seeing girls dressed like me. They ask me about make-up – I’m not even that good at make-up! It’s quite scary having people look up to you. I don’t want to mess anyone up.”
The adulation looks set to grow as Pale Waves make their careful, precise steps forward. Later today, Heather’s back with the rest of the band in the studio recording an EP. An album will follow, but not for at least a year. “With the album, I think we’re just going to show another side to us which is a lot more emotional and not as – I don’t know how to put it… Just, like, a bit more intense.”
Matty perks up. “You mean like emotionally intense?”
“Yeah.”
“Good. That’s what I’m hoping for.

Fanboy!Seungcheol
Tumblr media
Seungcheol is your biggest fan
Well, that’s what most people think since they’ve never seen someone so hyped up about you than Seungcheol
literally has no chill when someone brings you up in a conversation
‘did you just say Y/N well here’s 100 reasons why her smile brightens my whole day’
bought your album on iTunes, bought the actual album, bought a bunch more so he could go to your fan signs
really really loves your music, has all your songs on repeat
is one of the fans that look deep into the lyrics
how he discovered you, you ask?
well, he used to not be hardcore into idols or celebrities
but fanboy Soonyoung really wanted to see his favorite artist perform on a music show, and so here Seungcheol was, standing outside in freezing weather with hot packets in his pocket glaring at Soonyoung who was excitedly talking to the person next to him about another artist
then it happens, everyone starts screaming when a black van pulled up and Soonyoung was almost shoving Seungcheol
and Seungcheol swears he was about to go deaf but he now has a judging look on his face as he watches girls pile out of the car and he thinks ‘why are there so many group members’ (13 to be exact lol)
“SEUNGCHEOL LOOK! THERE SHE IS! THAT’S MY BIAS! THAT’S HER!!”
Seungcheol’s just about to shove Soonyoung when he sees you step out of the car, unlike the other members who are bundled up in coats, you’re simply wearing jeans, a t-shirt, and a bomber jacket
You’re the last of your group, so you’re doing a half walk half run to them while you’re waving and smiling to the fans
Everyone’s attentions seemed to be on the 12 girls in the front, but Seungcheol’s eyes are glued onto you, and you’re nearing where Seungcheol and Soonyoung are standing
star struck by you, Seungcheol foolishly takes out both of his hand warmers and holds them out when you’re walking by
and to his surprise, you actually stop, you look curiously at them before a wide smile spreads on your face and you take one of them before saying ‘you keep one so you can stay warm too! Make sure to go home quickly after the show so you don’t get sick!’
and you’re off running because your manager is calling for you
but Seungcheol has the reddest face ever and Soonyoung is FREAKING OUT BECAUSE
“SEUNGCHEOL YOU WERE JUST TALKING TO Y/N YOU WERE TOUCHED BY HER SHE TOOK ONE OF YOUR HAND WARMERS SEUNGCHEOL!!!!!”
Finally, Seungcheol and Soonyoung get to go into the building, and Soonyoung is still freaking out and he says something about having to tell his group chat about what just happened (guess who’s in the group chat: the svt members)
And Seungcheol tries to push that moment aside but then BUT THEN, Seungcheol sees you on stage performing. He hears you rap, then he hears you sing, then he sees you dancing, and Seungcheol is melting inside out
and thanks to fanboy Soonyoung, a whole new world of you is opened to him
Seungcheol is really lowkey at first about him liking you
But then all hell breaks loose soon when Soonyoung just encourages his love for Y/N
got added into Soonyoung’s group chat which is where he meets the other boys
Seungcheol knows your whole profile
“Y/N is the main rapper, sub vocalist, likes oranges, favorite color is all of them, drinks milk to help her sleep, talks in her sleep sometimes, her morning routine is to wake up the other members and make breakfast for everyone while they get ready and she gets ready last”
And he could go on and on and on
learned all of your rap parts and can literally break out your parts in the car
believes you need more parts (but who doesn’t think of this with their bias)
when he was reading the album, he found out that you write a lot of your parts and he’s swooning now because MY GIRLFRIEND IS SO TALENTED
fights with everyone in the group about how you’re the best one in the group, ends up in an all caps battle with Jihoon
has a lot of your merch in his room, just you, no one else
he gets some shit from his parents for spending all his money on a girl that won’t notice him but he doesn’t care anymore
was watching an interview and you were asked about a memorable moment you had with a fan and you start smiling, talking about how it was the middle of winter and a fan standing outside the music show building had offered you a hand warmer
cue Seungcheol screaming in the group chat and then everyone else screaming alongside with him
created a fan site for you because he discovered that you didn’t have as many as the other had and he was now determined to promote his girlfriend
follows your schedule and takes a bunch of pictures for your fan site
he isn’t good at first but thanks to Jeonghan, who he always meets at the schedules meant for the whole group, Seungcheol learns quick from him how to take more high-quality photos
Seungcheol’s fan site became a big one in the kpop community because his pictures are always the best quality with little filters because Seungcheol just loves your natural beauty
He cries when you post a cover of a song
Cried with Seungkwan because you and Seungkwan’s bias did a duet
Also cries when he sees you playing with little kids at the fan signs
From what he sees on cameras, Seungcheol just knows you’re the sweetest person ever, you always have a big smile on your face, and you take care of your member so well, although you tease your members Seungcheol knows it’s out of love
Attended a fan sign and had the loudest scream/cry when you walked out
You were placed at the end of the table so Seungcheol had to go through 12 people before he could get to you, and it was so obvious that he was your fan because he only stared at you when he was with the others
The members are snickering and finally one of the members take a mic and whine “Ah! Y/N, this guy here doesn’t even look at us, he only stares at you, this isn’t fair”
You look over at Seungcheol who is bright red, trying to hide his embarrassed face, he peeks back at you who cutely smiles and waves before you go back to the person in front of you
side note: sweetie Seungcheol got Joshua a signature from his bias and sent it to him in the States and Joshua called in tears because he didn’t expect it
but finally, Seungcheol reaches you and he doesn’t even know what to say, all the words in his mouth are suddenly gone
he has the biggest doe eyes and you find them so cute, and the way he looks at you kind of makes you want to pinch his cheeks and the more you look at him, the more he looks familiar and then it hits
“you’re the boy that gave me the hand warmer! Right?!”
The reddest blush occurs on Seungcheol’s face and he nods saying a ‘yes’
While you’re looking at his question, he’s asking you if you ate and when you say no, he gets kind of sad
But you give him a reassuring smile “I was waiting for you, I wanted to eat with you”
that statement made him burst from the inside out and Seungcheol is shyly smiling and you start cooing at him because he’s cute
Seungcheol is sad now because he’s being ushered off the stage and you wave at him goodbye
He doesn’t have the time to look at your answer to the question because he’s gotta take pics for his fan site
When he finally does look at it, he’s screaming
Question: what is your ideal date?
Answer: Winter walk holding your hand instead of hand warmers
Seungcheol wants to die happily at that moment
He laminates your signature along with the question and hangs them up
Seungcheol can’t believe that he can love you more but it happens,
The next time he’s at one of your schedules, he’s at the airport waiting for you because you’re leaving to go to KCON and just as he got his camera to work properly, you’re walking closer
and he’s snapping pic as quickly as he can, and in one of the pics, you’re looking straight into his camera with a smile
he takes the camera off from his eyes, you grin waving at him, “you better get good pictures of me Seungcheol!”
do you and Seungcheol get together? Well that’s for you to decide, but just know, behind the camera of the fanboy, is a very devoted Seungcheol who loves and appreciates all your music and everything you do. Not once did he sway from having you as a bias.

Saturday, November 4th, 2017 – Grungy, Gritty and in Top Form, Local H Sets the Bar for the Acts at the Festival at the Switchyard
The setting was a little different for Local H from that of their North Texas show back in the summer. Back during their little stint supporting Metallica, which included opening for the iconic group when they visited at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. The duo that hails from Zion, Illinois had been back to North Texas a couple of times since, thanks to their tour supporting The Toadies, which included this stop in Carrollton as part of the cities’ Festival at the Switchyard. The venue may have been significantly different, though there was probably a much stronger turnout from the band’s dedicated fan base this time around, thanks in part to the festival being a free event. Indeed, there were plenty of people sporting their Local H shirts, while many more were clearly eager to see what was about to unfold; the downtown square beginning to fill up as the headline acts prepared to kick the music portion of the festival into high gear. Local H were definitely the ones to do that. Blaring, gritty feedback was what set things in motion, Scott Lucas hitting some of the pedals of his pedalboard well before he ever picked the guitar up from atop his amp. The grungy tones it emitted were sheer rock that seemingly epitomized the ‘90s era of music, despite the fact that the song they were firing up was “The Last Picture Show in Zion” from 2015’s Hey, Killer. Nostalgic to an extent, that is the style that Lucas and drummer Ryan Harding excel at, and they were quick to make sure everyone there knew that. A heavy, sludgy sound punctuated much of the track that was awash with reverb, which served to make it all the more compelling and a terrific opener.
Lucas briefly took up the role of frontman during it, unraveling the microphone cord from the stand and then making his way to the front of the stage for a few moments. “Well there ain't no ghost in your ghost town! There ain't no ghost in the sky!” he shouted, seething, surveying the spectators as he delivered that refrain. It was as if he were wanting to convince everyone that that was fact before he returned to his post in front of the mic stand. They would wind up doing a 60-minute long set in all, though they had to keep a swift pace in order to work everything they had planned into it, Harding laid down some ferocious beats as he bridged them right into their next number. There would be more newer songs to come, though the bulk of their performance was comprised of their classics; plenty of fans being elated once they recognized “All-Right (Oh, Yeah)”. From a one-man mosh pit (yes, that’s possible), to plenty of others jumping around, Local H was definitely doing their job of getting everyone warmed up with their high-energy music and explosive live performance. And Lucas and Harding were still just breaking in the stage. The onslaught continued as the duo knocked the songs out as fast as possible. “It’s a little early for a rock show, right?!” remarked Lucas towards the end of “All the Kids Are Right”. The sun was just starting to set, providing what was surely some unusual scenery for the group, though it didn’t hinder them in the least, nor did it impede the onlookers’ sheer delight over what they were witnessing. Come the sixth song, they struck with one of their signature numbers. “I'm not mad, I'm just bored. And everything I do is only because there's nothing much else for me to do. And that includes you…” As soon as those die-hard Local H fans identified “Fritz's Corner” they began singing along, aiding Lucas throughout it. He appeared slightly taken aback by that, surely uncertain of what the reception would be due to being out of their element, like the early set time. He capitalized off of it though, encouraging everyone to sing as passionately as they could, silently egging everyone on, making sure the crowd was giving it their all. “How is everybody?!” he asked once that angst-filled number was done, killing time as he tuned his guitar by chatting with everyone as well as thanking Carrollton for hosting the festival. They then opted to pay tribute to Tom Petty, tackling "I Need To Know" from the Heartbreakers catalog. A fairly wild and dynamic song to begin with, it was revamped a bit to better fit the Local H style. That’s to say it had more of a grungy vibe to it, a subtle punk element even permeating their rendition; Harding continuing to be an unstoppable force behind the drum kit, the relentless pace he kept up providing a hearty backbone for everything this evening. “Rest in peace, Tom Petty,” Lucas said with haste, taking a quick glance up at the sky as he bridged them into their next song, some ominous, foreshadowing riffs ushering in one of the most incredible things they have produced over their lengthy career. Which is saying something. “The Misanthrope” is a masterpiece. However, this night, it did seem to be lacking some of vigor that makes it so fantastic. The screams didn’t always sound as furious as what is captured on the recording, or from that memorable show at Dallas’ Three Links in early 2014, that song leaving plenty of people (myself included) in awe. Nevertheless, it still got the adrenaline pumping even more as the pair of musicians continued to one-up themselves. Another highlight of their set was “California Songs”. The crowd again demonstrated just how boisterous they could be, chiming in on the choruses; and while some of the other acts noted that they needed to watch their language, Lucas wasn’t too concerned by such matters. Plenty of four letter words had been said whenever they were necessary to the music, though as that anthem about how overdone California is drew to a close, he left the final line up to the audience. “And fuck New York too!!” they collectively shouted, earning a smile from the singer. Lucas and Harding made that hour pass by quick. Too quick. With the end approaching, they made sure to work in, among other things, the remaining key tracks from As Good as Dead. That included “Bound for the Floor” as well as the cut that everyone knew had to be coming as they announced that they had one final song left. “COME ON!” Lucas roared after the first chorus of “High-Fiving MF”, the throng of people growing louder as they sang along with that electrifying number that capped the show of perfectly. They had done everything people had expected, yet at the same time, Local H still left everyone wanting more, wishing they had more time to fill with… anything. Old, new, no one would have cared much as to what, so long as it was chock-full of that fierce energy and determination that Lucas and Harding exuded, personifying rock ‘n’ roll. Overall, Local H delivered the best performance of the bands that played at the Festival at the Switchyard. The duo managed to pack more intensity and energy in what they were doing than any of the other acts, reminding everyone just how potent a two-piece band can be. That says a great deal about Lucas and this project that he has invested upwards of three decades in, still giving it his all, striving for nothing less than the best. Together he and Harding made that look effortless; their chemistry being exceptional, and they often appeared to be working off of one another’s energy and spirit, each making certain the other was unleashing their full potential. Primal and in charge, Local H has just gotten better with age, their latest material being even stronger in all aspects, the music, the lyrics, etc. Lucas’ voice even sounds better, now being grittier and more forceful, and he’s still capable of packing in that angst that defined so much of their earlier work. They tore it up at the Festival at the Switchyard, probably better than any band has over the past seven years of the event, and they were the band to beat here at the 8th annual festival. And no one even came close to touching that bar Local H had set, and I say that despite an absolute love of The Toadies. Their next shows are set for November 8th at Spanish Moon in Baton Rouge, LA and the 10th at Stubb's BBQ in Austin, TX, which will be their final show with The Toadies. The latter part of November along with parts of December will be busy for them as well; and they’ll end 2017 with a two-night stand at Subterranean in Chicago, IL on December 30th and 31st. For full info on those and their other upcoming dates (including a UK tour in February 2018), go HERE. Also, check out Hey, Killer or any of their past records in iTUNES or GOOGLE PLAY.
