Last week was really enjoyable at uni and I thought of you a lot! Midterm starts in a week so the last one was peaceful like "calm before the storm".

There was also like an event where small business owners open booths in campus for a week and sell/ advertise their work. There were lots of handcrafted stuff and food and so much art!

The highlight of my week was getting a cinnamon roll there with caramel and white sauce (which I think is sweetend milk? Idk) BUT IT WAS AMAZING!!! I wish I could send you one fr 💗💗💗💗💗

I would be more down with the Gorillaz TikTok if the only band member really running it was Murdoc, and we didn't get any other character TikToks unless it was lore-relevant (like if Russel got ahold it just to spread the word of The Static Channel, or something). Murdoc's always been the one attached to brand deals and social media since Phases 2 and 3, so it would be more in-character it was just him making videos. Just Murdoc being Murdoc and doing anything to expand Gorillaz' reach. The marketing team can keep making those bland reactions and duets, but with only Murdoc doing winks and nods, in his (bad) attempt to go viral. In fact, give him every kind of social media. Murdoc on Tumblr. Murdoc on Snapchat. Fuck it, give the man a Tinder account. Now that'd be something.

Yeah, I think it would be a lot more immersive if they tailored their social media to what would be in character for the band. Like, it *does* make more sense for Murdoc to have the biggest social media presence because realistically, he's probably a complete control freak over their PR and the amount of ~spotlight he receives. Historically, he's also been the most active online, like you said. However, it's likely that other fans would complain if they took this route, since it's more en vogue to want all the band members to have equal screen time. I'm completely biased in favor of Murdoc, so this isn't me lmao, BUT if they're that attached to pleasing the fanbase, they could also have more of an in-universe explanation as to why the social media is so bland. Is the label pushing for everyone to be online? Is the band finally being proactive and enforcing a more democratic approach to out-vote Murdoc? There are a lot of interesting directions they could go! And yet...

I also love the idea of Murdoc using other apps. It probably falls outside their family-friendly goals, but it's another direction that has a ton of potential that will probably never be utilized. RIP
