After rewatching Trolls World Tour, I just realized the relevance of the high five at the start of Trolls Band Together <3
It means they have a strong connection!
On the second movie he failed to talk with Poppy about their relationship and then she called him a friend. He got so caught up on that, that they failed to make a connection and having a good high five.
Failing miserably.
Just look at him, he feels so bad
Also I love how easy the confession was at the end
Just so casual
"and I love that we are different"
"And I love you Queen Poppy" the way he says it, so simple yet clear
"And I love you too Branch" and Poppy and her little smile, that was the smile she used to give Creek before the whole fall out, she´s now smitten with Branch :) and she loves him too, what else can you ask?
the love was always there, they just needed to have a better connection, you know, the whole thing where she wasn't actually listening to anybody because she was too focused trying to be a good queen
Also I love seeing Branch happy, it´s so tender
And they finally have their perfect high five!
Wait, did she hug him at the end? 🥺
I hadn´t noticed
I love their relationship, since the first movie and how it evolved
it´s just so tender and wholesome

batman: shadow of the bat #0
[ID: a flashback of the outside of Wayne Manor at night. A narration box (unrelated to the scene) reads, “Ya think he's got a guardian angel, or somethin'?” Inside the manor, Leslie Thompkins and Alfred Pennyworth are talking in regards of young Bruce Wayne. They sit in a magnificent library at a small table as Bruce sits at his own desk that's across the room and has his face buried in a book. Alfred reassures her, “— Worried about him, Doctor Thompkins? I can assure you there's no need! Master Bruce has the manor to live in — myself to look after him — the best education money can buy—”. Leslie cuts Alfred off before he can continue rambling out more examples. She tells him, “It's what he doesn't have that bothers me, Alfred. Friends — hobbies — the kind of life a normal teenager looks forward to. He spends all his time in the gym, or here reading. I don't think he ever recovered from his parents' death.” We're shown Bruce, now in a close-up and able to see the book he's reading is titled ‘Lip Reading For Beginners’. Bruce peers over the book intensely as Leslie continues to express her rightful concern, “He almost seems obsessed!” END ID]

im still stuck on ep 3 guys. Because in the beginning of the ep La’An refuses to talk about anything with M’benga and at the end shes practically begging the time lady to.
And maybe part of the reason La’An felt she could get so close to this guy was because on some level she knew he was never going to stick around. Sometimes its easier to bond with strangers because you’re not scared of losing them. But, by letting her guard down she went and got attached to a version of someone who doesn’t exist, and lost him anyways.
And of course part of it was kirk. He spends the better part of the episode enjoying his walk through history, taking in the sunset, enjoying the hot dogs, the old fashioned driving, the 2d chess. Once he decided to help save her timeline, he knew his life was over. And Kirk wanted to enjoy what time he had left, wanted to feel the excitement of a budding romance one last time, wanted to feel the best part of being human before he stopped existing. Despite his impending doom and warring reality, Kirk still has a passion for life. He knows to enjoy the little things while you can, to grasp onto any scrap of happiness and hold it tight. Something La’An has been afraid to do because she thinks it will be taken from her.
Then in lotus eaters, we hear her say something like “sometimes the pain is worth remembering” and maybe shes talking about something else (she has a whole slew of trauma) but since its coming off of ep3, maybe its because the pain of his loss was worth remembering how good it felt to let her guard down and open up to someone. She learned a new way of coping with loss, not to dwell on the pain it caused but by remembering what made it worth losing in the first place
