I don't know much about religion, but I have a query I would like to inquire.
There are religious holidays/events where there is a certain timeframe one is allowed to eat in while the rest of the time is fasting, correct?
How romantically intimate would it be considered if during one of those religious holidays/events Person A would wake up in that eating time frame and grab some home cooked food and head over to Person B's house so they can eat together during that eating time frame?
Or would that be offensive?

I do love Haley Stardewvalley. Surface level she's the popular mean girl character, except the only person she hangs out with Alex. She misses basic social cues. She keeps to herself most of the time. She loves photography and fashion. She's the only character in the game who hates the Prismatic Shard. She wrestles a pig for you and it's adorable.
I love you Haley Stardewvalley, please ignore the haters

Rio’s request for Miles, before everything went way, way off the rails, was to take care of her little boy when no one else would - treat him kindly and remind him that he belongs
How literally do you think Miles is going to take that
Miles (1610): I just want you to know, if nobody else told you today… I love you
Miles (42): No
Miles (1610): I appreciate you and how talented you are at punching things
Miles (42): No shut up
Miles (1610): And even though you’re not a spidey and were prevented from your fate of becoming a spidey due to circumstances outside of your control in a cosmic mistake that only made your life worse, I want you to know… you belong
Miles (42): Shut up shut up shut up I hate you

Alright, I'm about to have a Trolls moment. Please ignore me if you will.
So I'm starting to have a meltdown over Branch's brothers' understanding of who he is as a person.
Like, they were fully absent during his entire childhood and young adulthood, of course. And we all keep making jokes about how they didn't tease him enough about his relationship because, duh, that's what brothers do. But what I have yet to see discussed is his confidence as an individual, how he interacts with the audience as a band member, and how his brothers are simply not interacting with a person they've ever met before.
Like, there's the whole "boy band members are so suave so as to properly appeal to their audience" thing, and Branch, post-World Tour, has gained a lot of confidence. Yes, most of his audience interaction is aimed at the band's biggest fan, his own girlfriend, but he does so very smoothly. The level of confidence that Branch has gained since the first movie is immense and it's actually so heartwarming to watch the two movies back-to-back to see, but beyond that, his interactions with Poppy, as her boyfriend and also as a band member, are very confident, flirtatious, and charming. He's playing up the persona when he's on stage of course, but they also flirt a lot on their own as seen in this movie. And while yes, his brothers being his brothers would probably off-screen tease him about flirting with his girlfriend, they also have no idea how he is as a band member. Because the last time they were in a band together, Branch was IN DIAPERS. Spruce was the Heartthrob, the flirt, the tease, and Branch was a BABY. But now Bruce is married, he's checked out of that life. And even if it's all directed at Poppy because Branch is a very loyal boy (clearly), he still has never exhibited those specific behaviors in front of his brothers. It's funny and easy to make fun of when it's with his girlfriend, but when he does it as a band member? Then it's a persona. And he's absolutely killing the game.
The boys have never met this suave, confident adult. They've never seen Band Member Branch with his own personality, with character traits, with the ability to make decisions for himself in any form. So his new band persona is, apparently, to some extent, the flirt. And his brothers must be reeling from that, because WHO is this guy??
I don't have a point. My point is just the idea that once upon a time, when Branch was in the band originally, he was just Some Kid™. And now he's not just some kid, he is A Boy Band Member™. And kind of the new leader, to boot. Beyond that, to Poppy, he was just Some Depressed Guy™ for so long. And once again, look at him now. The character development combined with character perception is just so absolutely fascinating to me and the lack of time to elaborate on it is very much the reason why fanfiction exists.
I don't know, man. Big Trolls fan over here. I love Branch so much.

Fandom Gripe #23: I know that fandom is in some deep denial about its treatment of female characters that are canonically involved with fan favorite m/m ships, but do y’all realize that when you disappear female characters from the narrative wholesale to push the idea that your canonically straight fav was “secretly gay all along!” you’re making several bad implications? That 1) bi men don’t exist, 2) bi men do exist, but those who have genuinely loved a woman before cannot genuinely love a man after that (therefore bi men don’t exist in practice), 3) women cannot inspire genuine love and devotion in men, therefore any relationship with a woman is “lesser” than the one they later have a man (see previous parenthesis), or 4) to acknowledge the existence of a lovable woman who isn’t a terrible person, where if a relationship previously existed, it did not end because of “incompatibility,” is enough to destabilize the present relationship between two queer men?
Because why is the tgcf fandom allergic to acknowledging that He Xuan had a whole ass fiancée that he loved? Why does no one ever seem to remember that the kidnappings and murders of He Xuan’s sister and fiancée were the final straws that sent him on his rampage, and he still keeps a shrine to them in the present-day of the story? Why is her entire existence and significance to He Xuan as a man, character, and to his character arc disappeared in favor of pushing Shi Qingxuan—the brother of the man responsible for his fiancée’s death—into that same role, as if to say that her impact on He Xuan is significant... just not when it's from her? Why does He Xuan’s life in fandom essentially begin not just after her death but because of it?

"It's perfect!"
Sloane haphazardly tosses one last blanket over your pillow fort before standing back to admire their hard work. You pop your head out from behind the blanket curtain and look around anxiously.
"Get in here before the thunder starts!" You warn, diving back into your warm safe space.
You snuggle up with your favorite stuffie as the rain begins pouring down outside. A brief flash of lightning lights up the sky before a loud crack of thunder follows in its presence. You jump and squeeze your stuffie close to your chest for safety and Sloane finally crawls inside the fort to join you.
"I almost forgot this!" They exclaim, turning on a star projection lamp they hold in their hands.
A soft yellow glow emanated from within and casted starry shadows on the blankets surrounding the two of you. Sloane sets it on the floor next to a nearby pillow for safekeeping.
"It's battery powered! That way if the electricity goes out we can still have light."
"Don't say that! The power isn't supposed to go out..." You frown.
"I know, but just in case!" They reassure you and reach out to squeeze your hand.
They nuzzle into your face and pull you close into a hug. Another sudden crack of thunder causes you to cling to them for support. They tighten their arms around you and pull you down on to the mountain of pillows beneath the two of you for emergency cuddles.
"I'm here, don't worry." Their voice is delicate and reassuring.
You rest your head comfortably on their chest and listen to their steady heartbeat. You wonder what it's like to be so calm during a storm– to be able to sleep without the fear of the elements raging on outside. It was a fear you've had since you were a child but unfortunately never grew out of as an adult.
"Is there anything you're scared of?" You ask curiously.
"Well, sure! Lots of things!" Sloane pauses and rubs your back. "Spiders are definitely scary, even if they are helpful."
"How? I always see you trap them and throw them back outside." You point out.
"Just because I save them doesn't mean I can't be scared of them, too!"
You giggle at the thought of Sloane being scared of anything. You've never seen them act anything but brave in the face of adversity. You definitely admired them for that. If only you had the amount of courage they had... maybe then you'd feel a lot more confident.
"Fine. I'll tell you what I'm scared of but you can't laugh, okay?" Their voice grows serious for a second. "Cause it's kind of silly..." They add.
"I promise I won't laugh." You look up at them with sincerity, stars slowly dancing across their skin.
"I'm scared of being alone." They admit. They smooth back your hair and place a kiss on your forehead. "Being around you makes me feel a lot braver."
You blush softly and reach for their hand to hold it in yours. "I'll make sure you're never alone then!" You promise.
Sloane laughs softly and squeezes your hand again. "I know that's physically impossible, but just knowing you're here– with me, in my life– that makes me feel a lot braver than I was before I met you."
For a brief moment you were left speechless and unsure how to proceed.
"Wow. Really? Why me?" Is all you can come up with.
"Honestly? I have no idea! I just think of you and I know I have nothing to worry about." They pause to think again for a second. "Maybe you're just good luck!"
They scoop you in, pull your face close to theirs and nuzzle you lovingly. The sudden affection causes you to giggle uncontrollably.
"You're my lucky charm. A blessed artifact! Every archeologists dream." They place their hand on top of your head and ruffle your hair. "Except you don't belong in a museum. You belong right here by side– uhh... if you want to be, that is."
"Of course I would. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else."
You snuggle tightly into their body and the heavy feeling of sleepiness overtakes you both.
"I love you, [Y/N]." They yawn before pulling you close again. "My precious little artifact..."
"I love you, too... my brave archeologist." You smile warmly.
Outside, the storm rages. Inside, all is safe... just as it should be.
