There is something i really like about this line because in this context Vlad is begging Dan to stop talking about how he was ¨created¨ by the Vlad of his timeline. Vlad is trying to convince himself that he personally wouldn't create something like that by separating himself from his other timeline-Dan's timeline- self. In part i wonder if it has to do with Vlad trying to separate his past self from who he is now. As his past alternative version of him would have done something like this but not him.

However, Dan reminds Vlad of how he is lying to himself about what he really wanted. He beats up Plasmius both physicaly and mentally by taunting him with how he is the person he wished Danny to turn into, as his own evil pupil. Vlad gets faced with this idea of what Danny could have turned into had him joined him on his offer and he is horrified by it. He finally realizes that he doesn't want Danny to become into someone like Dan and later makes him see that the problem has always been himself and his own self-destructive habits.

A) Keep it?

Pros: It looks like lined book texture which is pretty cool. Not of a lot of artists do it like this, so you'd pretty much immediately know it's me.

Cons: It can be disruptive and distracting, especially when its a comic, with text you have to read.

B) Go back to using a regular watermark?

Pros: More immersive experience with the comics, less disruption

Cons: Art stealers/reposters will get their grubby mits on my yummy and tasty art like its a drop of ambrosia in their mundane mortal world

At the end, I'll decide for myself, but I value your opinion as my audience, so let me know if you have any suggestions!

Danny Phantom Idea: Monarchy Fraud

The ghost king isn't a real position, Pariah Dark just made it up and forced everyone to obey him. The Observants were some of the only ones to willingly agree to serve him as King. They use their ability to write magically binding contracts and their foresight to help Pariah conqueror everyone else in exchange for basically being his second in command(s). They were furious when he was deposed because they lost most of their power and prestige.

When Danny kicks Pariah’s ass they see their chance. The law of conquest is known and respected in the Infinite Realms, giving Danny a right to Pariah’s ‘throne’ and all his vassals. In fact, Pariah’s vassals have to ‘help’ him take the throne because of the magical contracts Pariah forced everyone he conquered to sign. And once he’s on the throne, well. He’s a kid. The Observants would be well within their rights to declare themselves his regents. And by the time he grows up, they're sure to have figured something out.

Danny is trapped in a race against time to break all the old fealty oaths and permanently free everyone from the Observants while his closest allies and most hated enemies alike try to forcefully coronate him.

Yay, Connie is redeemed! I'm a little sad that she won't be fussing about hats anymore because it was funny, but I am glad she'll stop being mean to the kids for having the audacity to not do hard labour all day.

Speaking of children and hard labour, Henry is determined to put himself into dangerous situations. I think he's upset I don't let him do any of the fighting despite it being what he was genetically engineered to do, so he wanted to head off to the mines instead.

He will not be doing any mining, but I have allowed him to help sweep up dirt around the colony so he feels like he's helping. It also gives him a mood bonus because he has the 'neat' trait, so it's a win-win!

I don't think Henry puts up his mature-for-his-age, gruff, battle-hardened soldier front all the time. I bet he and Andy get up to all sorts of trouble sharing a room together, as young boys are wont to do.

Also, Candlelight made a legendary carving. Good job her! I like to imagine the "plunderer" depicted is Trazyn the Infinite because he's from Warhammer, and Candlelight is from my only Warhammer mod. And, y'know, because Trazyn is awesome. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Lately I've been going down the Luigi's mansion rabbithole and I've been thinking of King Boo's powers.

So we all know that he's able to create portraits to capture people right?

But you know who else has used paintings to do evil things?

Bowser in Super Mario 64/64 DS. In there, Toad said that Bowser "stole the power stars and used their magic to create evil lands of monsters in the walls and paintings."

So because of this, I have a small headcannon/theory that King Boo took inspiration from Bowser's use of the paintings in Mario 64.

I mean he had to get the inspiration to use paintings somewhere. (Imo)

Real fast, whether you believe 64 DS or the OG 64 is canon, I like to think that either way, King Boo took notice of what Bowser did and wanted to build off of it.

I haven't played the first Luigi's Mansion, but if I recall correctly, King Boo used E. Gadd's portraitficationizer just in reverse to free the ghosts and Boolossus. Then he used it to trap Mario in a painting, however Mario could still move in his portrait prison (somehow).

So he didn't do anything himself there, but by the time of Dark moon, we see him actually learn to create portraits via his new crown magic and make them still so his victims can't move or yell for help in them.

Then by Luigi's Mansion 3, King Boo has basically perfected the art of prison portraits (pun intended) and even learned how to put more victims in them and to increase their size for larger traps.

So it seems through his experimentation with them, he developed his portrait powers.

TLDR: King Boo liked what Boswer did with paintings and just rolled with it, just in a completely more deranged way and his use of them evolved over time.

IDK, I just noticed that they've both used paintings before then this headcannon/theory formed. Hope you liked my random rambling about my 2 favorite Nintendo villains.

Also, I'm sure this isn't the most well thought out, but still, it's kinda interesting to think about.
