Neteyam’s eyes constantly lingered on you when you were in a room, he couldn't help it. You had to be handmade by Ewya, you were always so pretty, so perfect.

Neteyam would constantly be stepping over his words when he was around you or even if someone else brought you brought, “oh look, it's [Y/n],” Neteyam immediately touched his hair making sure he looked good, “where?”

Lo’ak laughed watching his older brother, “looks like someone has a crush,” Neteyam immediately covered his mouth, “shut up, asshole!” He was just finding the courage to speak with you there was no way Lo’ak was going to ruin that for him.

Lo’ak licked his palm to make him let go, “i’m just stating the facts, Neteyam! Neteyam thought, “well, her eyes are like stars,” Lo’ak put a hand over his mouth, “I don't wanna hear about it, tell her!” Neteyam took his hand off his mouth, “whatever loser.”

“This loser just got you a mate, should be thanking me!” Kiri walked in laughing, “Your first mistake was going to that loser,” Neteyam looked at her, “I’ll take my chances.”

Neteyam stood in front of the place you were helping, he had tried to find the prettiest flowers he could but they didn't look the best, “here goes nothing.”

“Neteyam!” You waved at him as he walked over to you, “what brings you here?” Neteyam rubbed the back of his neck, “I just wanted to show you these!” he showed you the flowers, “omg who could do such a thing!”

Neteyam's mouth clamped up, “these poor flowers, you know I never understood why someone would want them as gifts.” You placed it on the table, “just a bunch of dead weeds!”

Neteyam crumbled up the poem he wrote while he smiled at you, “I was thinking the same thing!” you nodded at him, “omg i’m so glad we agree everyone else thinks I’m crazy!”

You placed your hand on Neteyam, “you know whoever ends up with you is one special girl!” you then hugged him, “see ya later!” Neteyam smiled as he watched you walk away, he was never taking advice from Lo’ak again.

“She hated them,” Neteyam hit Lo’ak in the back of the head, “how was I supposed to know?” Neteyam groaned as he heard Kiri’s laugh, “told ya!”

Neteyam got up and walked to her, “what do you think I should do? Make her another gift?” Kiri shook her head, “you're doing too much work, just tell her straight up.” Neteyam looked at her confused, “wouldn't she rather I make her a gift?”

“No, she’s a simple person, if you are honest with her I promise she’ll appreciate it more.” Neteyam nodded, “where is she now?” Kiri smiled, “probably by the storage room.” Neteyam left in a hurry to catch you, “what a fucking idiot.” Lo’ak snickered.

You were packing some food when an older woman tapped you, “be sure to be out here quick, we close the door so no one can get to the food, especially the little kids,” you smiled brightly, “okay!”

She left and you went to go put away the last few items when you saw Neteyam, “funny seeing you here!” You laughed, “what do you need this time?”

Neteyam shrugged, “oh ya know, just hanging around,” you nodded as you put the last plate of food away, “let's go do something more fun,” Neteyam went to speak but accidentally dropped cans of food, “you’re just clumsy today!”

“I guess I am!” you both bent over to pick them up, not realizing the door was covered by rocks, nobody was getting in and nobody was getting out. “I actually wanted to tell you something.”

This was the moment he was finally going to tell you how he feels, you walked towards the door before attempting to open it, but it wasn't moving. “I can't open this door.”

Neteyam went over to help, “well, you know I’ve been meaning to say this for-,” when he tried opening the door and it didn't move he shut up, “I think something blocking the door.”

“Crap, they must've thought I left already,” Neteyam noticed how you sat in defeat, “they're not coming back for another hour,” Neteyam sat down, hopefully, this works out to his benefit.

Neteyam rubbed the sweat off his forehead, he had never been so nervous in his life. “You okay over there?” you questioned him but he just smiled, “yeah just a little hot.”

“It’s cooler over here! Come sit next to me,” you patted the spot in the floor next to you which he gladly took. “Let's play a game to pass the time!” You smiled big at the idea.

Neteyam just nodded, “let's play truth or dare! I heard your dad talking about how he used to play this all the time!”

You squealed making Neteyam crack a smile, your happiness fell off you making him happy, “okay I’ll go first, truth or dare?”

Neteyam thought, “truth,” you gave him a boring face, but he was playing it safe he didn't want to end up saying anything weird and make this already awkward situation more awkward.

“Hmm, what is the thing that makes you most happy?” he stared into your eyes, and the only thing that came to his mind was you. It didn't matter wherever you two were doing but you always knew how to make him feel special.

“The stars,” half-truth, half lie the stars reminded him a lot of your eyes and how they sparked the exact way, you smiled big at him, “look at Neteyam being a big softie!”

“Truth or dare?” you smiled, “I’ll be like you, truth!” Neteyam thought, he wanted to ask who your crush was but he didn't wanna seem intrusive, “what's your favorite thing to do?”

and this fic was tagged 100% correctly like it was very explicitly tagged as smut n stuff yet there were still a bunch of comments being like “uhm what did i just read 🤨” and when i made a comment defending the authors right to yk, not be harassed for making not even rlly problematic content someone who clearly would suffer withdrawal symptoms if they turned twitter off for too long started arguing with me abt how “erm ackhtually we should be allowed to comment harassment under ppls harmless and explicitly tagged fics cause theres no smut in this fandom and it shocked us” and u could just rlly tell they felt they were more righteous than God in their opinions and yeah so cut to tonight when i’m scrolling through the tag and i see a post titled “i’m so sorry” in which the author made a post basically being like “i’m so sorry for posting that ik it was disgusting it has been permanently deleted” which in the comments a few ppl were telling them that what happened sucked n stuff (myself included // judging by their reply they only did this to stop the harassment which yk, completely fair) and i went back to scrolling since i wanted an actual fic not fandom drama but like 2 posts down there was another post titled “please stop” or smthn like that where someone else made a post basically being like “guyssss can we please not write smut of these characters this fandom is so wholesome i dont wanna ruin it 🥺 anyways sorry this isnt a fic this just needed to be said lol” and like dude, my guy, WHAT THE FUCK?!

Like all the Blood Moon stuff made it seem like they’d be an unstoppable force once they were through that portal, but it turns out they were just another piece of some big evil plan. Crazy.

-Ness, when not on an AuDHD hyperfixation spree or working late hours, actually has a pretty good sleep schedule and can fall asleep fairly easily

-Mike on the other hand is a huge insomniac nightmare haver who can only sleep if he has help of some kind, like the nature sounds and medication in the movie (though I think in the movie the nature sounds were specifically to help trigger dreams abt that memory so idk why this fandom acts like it’s just a thing he likes but also like whatever idk- /lh)

-it takes Mike a longgg time to be comfortable enough to be willing to sleep in even the same house or room as Ness, let alone the same bed, but he eventually comes around to it. At first he is veryyy “do not touch me it’s a miracle I’m even letting you stay here like I love you but please just don’t” and Ness respects that, but as they get more comfortable with each other they become HUGE cuddlers

-Ness just likes giving affection in general so they’ve never had a problem with cuddling or anything, but Mike had to warm up to it (dysphoria + not used to this kind of affection or relationship = touch is weird) but when he does, he learns he absolutely LOVES IT

-Mike learns via hugging and cuddling Ness that he loves the deep pressure stimming that comes with it so cuddling with Ness actually helps him relax a lot. After a long day or a stressful event, he’ll come home to/invite Ness over and just cuddle with them and he’ll actually be able to fall asleep in less than an hour which for Mike is CRAZY

-Ness love love LOVES watching Mike sleep and just playing with his hair or tracing his face or rubbing his back as he’s zonked out. In part just cause he thinks Mike looks cute and in part because he likes to stay up at least a little longer to help with Mike’s nightmares. If they notice him having one, they’ll gently wake him up by whispering to him, nudging his shoulder, and kissing his face, and then they’ll comfort him until he falls asleep again

-even if Ness helps him sleep, Mike still has nightmares pretty often, and any time he has them after Ness has already fallen asleep, he usually feels too embarrassed and nervous to wake them up or anything, so he’ll usually just sit in bed for a minute, trying to relax, getting up and getting some water or going to the bathroom or something and then coming back. Ness isn’t a very heavy sleeper though so all that usually wakes them up anyways and they’ve learned what it all means so they just go straight to comforting him, making sure to tell him repeatedly that they are more than ok with Mike waking them up if he needs them (it takes a long time but he eventually gets comfortable enough to do so)

-on a normal occasion, Mike likes to be the big spoon because lowkey gender euphoria + wearing his binder means he doesn’t have to worry abt his chest being in the way and all, and Ness is fine with that, he loves his little backpack 🫶🫶🫶 /hj but when SLEEPING, Mike is the little spoon because dude needs to be held and protected for once in his life and Ness is the big spoon who is very careful not to touch his chest until given permission to do so (which takes a veryyyyyy long time lol)

-most of the time they’ll fall asleep cuddling, Mike laying his head on Ness’ chest while Ness plays with his hair, or spooning, or Ness laying on top of Mike for some extra pressure stims, but they absolutely end up a sprawled mess of tangled limbs and soft snoring after they fall asleep

-yes they both snore, Mike snores louder though, Abby HAS complained in the past (he’s not THAT loud but I can’t imagine it’d be that hard to hear given their small house. The walls are probably paper thin anyways)

-Mike almost only has nightmares or doesn’t dream at all, Ness on the other hand dreams all the time and they are the wackiest shit ever and he has a dream journal and stuff and he rambles to Mike about trying to analyze them

-Ness wakes up first, they’re an early bird and like taking care of morning stuff and helping Mike wake up and yada yada

-I still can’t decide which one is freezing cold and which one is like a human heater. Personality wise I’d say Mike is cold and Ness is warm, but like vibe that I specifically am getting is that Ness would be cold and Mike would be warm and they’d both be shocked abt it. Either way one of them is warm and one of them is cold and they cuddle to balance out but also will argue about sleeping conditions (“stop hogging the blanket” “can you turn the heat a little higher then?” “Absolutely not” “babe I’m freezing” “yeah well this is the only way I can sleep idk what to tell you”)

-Mike sleeps in a lose t shirt and shorts/boxers, Ness will too but at least Ness actually HAS pajamas and will wear them

-now that I’m thinking about it, logically idk when they’d EVER get the chance to actually sleep together, at least not without Mike changing jobs, because their work schedules are literal opposites…but let’s just…ignore that…for now…ig since Ness can kinda work whatever hours he wants, they could get their sleep like before Mike goes to work or after they take Abby to school or smth, irdk lmao

Alright looks like we’re doing this. Let’s talk abt Chase! I’m ready to dissect this guy like a frog.

Pretty sure it's already thought up, idk, but this thought randomly popped into my head while in the shower so I’m making it everyone’s problem :D

So Chase. Oh, you dumbass child. Keep in mind I’ve only watched the first four episodes so these are based off of them and the posts of Chase I’ve seen on here.

Let’s start with why ppl don’t like him: he cut the brakes of his (current at that time) girlfriend’s car while doing a stunt and didn’t know why she’s still mad at him. (this is as far as I know—if there's any other reason, lmk!)

I decided to start with that in my quest to delve into aspects of Chase’s personality and analyze certain actions he’s done.

(disclaimer: I'm not saying I'm picturing him in a good light for what he did and with this analysis. I'm just trying to figure out just why he would do this. Bc no one just cuts the frigging brakes of their girlfriend's car and not tell her abt it. So everything here is as objective as I can get unless otherwise specified.)

Chase is a stunt person. He has his own yt stunts channel and stunts gang who do crazy stuff along with him. So if you look at it that way, it’s no brainer that this guy is a huge adrenaline junkie. A thrill-seeker; a danger-lover. Even his name fits--Chase--because of his hobbies, he always seems to chase that thrill.

Characteristics of ppl like Chase can be: impulsive, irrational at times (not all the time), and almost always trying to 'get that high' no matter the costs.

(In real life, most ppl (there are always exceptions) who share these traits would also be more easily interested in drugs/drinks, sex, relationships in general, etc, along with doing physically dangerous stuff, and bounce around a lot in regards to them, just to get that feeling of thrill--but we're not talking abt that rn as it’s not part of this post)

As far as I've watched of the season, you can see these characteristics, the thrill-seeking part of him who loves the idea of danger, in certain things Chase does. When he's one of the ppl blindfolded instead of safely above calling direction in ep1; when, instead of staying back and holding the fort, he's at the front lines trying to get the other team's skull in ep4. You can see that side of him rear its head almost constantly. He's not as impulsive in the season so far as many thrill-seekers may be, but that could be bc he's tamped that side of him down so well due to past mistakes. Either way, he's an adrenaline junkie. That's obvious.

Moving on to my reasoning of why he cut the brakes.

Being a thrill-seeker isn't necessarily a bad thing. Some ppl just like to hover at the edge of the cliff rather than stay safely back, and while that can be concerning if done consistently, it's a valid characteristic of a human being. It only gets worrying when it's taken too far, which I feel like is the case with Chase (oh that rhymed!). I'd even say it can be considered a major flaw—a fatal flaw, if you will—of his.

He loves danger, to such a point that he forgets to prioritize other people and their lives over it. He's on the extreme side of thrill-seeker.

He cut the brakes of Emma's car likely bc he was at the crest of that wave of high--that thrill of danger, the adrenaline, it was one of those moments that made him think irrationally and strive to stay on that ride of adrenaline despite the consequences. He forgot abt the fact that it wasn't him at the wheel, but Emma, his girlfriend. Or maybe he may have considered that fact, but not deemed it as important bc 'hey Emma's in this gang too, so she must feel the same way as I do abt danger and adrenaline!'

(Sorry dude, not everyone thinks the same way as you).

Which I feel is another aspect of Chase's personality that creates a greater flaw; his first priority is himself, it's a habitual thing, so when he sees other ppl in the same situation as him (fellow competitors in total drama, the gang in Three Guys And A Girl In A Beach House) his instant conclusion is that they're also thrill-seekers like him, so he shouldn't give them much 'special treatment' or consideration. In his mind, other people will always be secondary bc that's just how his mindset has been honed. He can be a bit of a narcissist and/or selfish.

This portrays him as a Major Asshole, but, to him, he genuinely doesn't understand what he did wrong. Bc like aren't these people like me? why are they so upset when I just helped them feel more of that adrenaline?

Nope. It just makes you look rlly shitty, mate.

Hence why he doesn't even think abt apologizing to Emma. In fact, his words were "You're still mad about that?!" as if he actually cannot understand why she was so mad that he'd cut the brakes. He thought she would laugh it off and revel in the 'high feeling' like he would. And in the confessional when we first meet Chase, when he's talking abt Emma breaking up with him, he sounds annoyed—the kind of emotion someone who doesn't know/understand they're in the wrong act/sound like.

To him, he feels like they can handle themselves. Maybe he'd help if worst comes to worst (I'm giving him the benefit of doubt bc I haven't finished the season), but not right away bc he thinks there's no reason to. It could be seen as a "positive" bc he deems them 'capable' of facing extreme danger, but it's a very twisted positive--it's such a warped positive that it's considered a negative lmao

Some examples: cutting the brakes of Emma's car, and not warning Priya and Millie of a potential Emma Attack in ep4 when they were going to take the other team's skull.

Again, I'm not at all saying that's a good thing in fact, I did say these two aspects are his fatal flaws, but I think this is a reasonable dive-in abt his character. These two flaws of his make up a huge part of his character, and ties into the reason why ppl don't like him a whole lot. I tried to analyze these actions more bc despite how much of a dingus he's being, I can't help but be interested in his character. He’s not just Some Nice Guy, he’s smth more and that’s the interesting part.

idk if this analysis will hold up once I finish the season and actually know what happens lmao

Based on this character analysis, I feel like the type of relationship best suited for Chase is not someone like Emma.

(And no, it's not bc of my hc that Chase and Emma end up like fanon stranger things stancy, and remain friends (after much-deserved apologizing on Chase's end) and become mlm wlw solidarity; I'm remaining unbiased here, shhh)

Idk much abt Emma but I do know she’s fricking terrifying abt Chase. She literally said she wants to get a huge screen so she can watch Chase get hurt over and over, like any relationship they have would not be healthy nor long-term, realistically. It’ll be like Duncan and Courtney getting together in All-Stars after all that shit that occurred. It doesn’t make sense. And I’m pretty sure Chase didn’t even apologize either?? If he did, my bad. But overall, it’s not even just their pasts, it’s their individual traits that aren’t compatible.

Emma was a part of that stunt group too. So I’m assuming she’s into stunts, doing crazy stuff, shit like that as well just to a lesser degree than Chase. To me, Chase does not need another danger-lover, no matter if they’re not as extreme as him. The guy’s already a one-man powerhouse of adrenaline-adoration, he doesn’t need someone else to encourage him to dismiss his well-being and other ppl’s.

What Chase needs is someone who can ground him. Someone laidback enough to not want to make him change the parts of him that make him Chase (bc that wouldn’t be healthy either), but steady enough to hold him back when he starts to go off the deep end. Someone who will help him realize that prioritizing danger over lives is not cool, and who is patient enough (without being patronizing) to help him or let him work things out. Having someone like that by his side will not only help Chase try to be the best he could be and become a better version of himself, but also it’s healthy and two-way if Chase decides to help them with any of their emotions too.

Not only that, it’ll be two-way in the sense that they’ll ground Chase and make him realize that his extreme thrill-seeking isn’t super healthy, but Chase can also get them to ‘feel the wind in their hair’ and face danger head-on and be brave. Now that’s a solid relationship and I want it to happen so fucking badly.

Oh, Kit. But what abt Emma? What sort of person would work for her? Someone who isn’t Chase!

I hope td portrays abusive relationships correctly bc that’s what this is. And I’m hoping in the next season, they break up bc nothing abt that is healthy at all.

But separate of shippers, I do have a vested interest in Jkk in that I do watch them the most. I have things to say and/or critiques to make, and no one has to agree with them. My blog is open to people who have genuinely interesting things to say about them, even if I might not share their beliefs.

Why do any of us watch or read romance media? I can appreciate the concept of romance and revel in the idealist nature of it, but 99% of them are hardly reflective of real life. It’s the same thing with shippers and Jkk (and I don’t mean the crazy ones). I like reading about what they have to say if they choose to share it and if it’s sensible, to answer curiosities they might have about why I’m not propelled in their direction, but there are moments where I get shitty people in my inbox. Sure, I can ignore them and I do for the most part (my asks consistently hover around 500; I can’t delete and/or respond to things fast enough to get below that number), but I also don’t think these people should get to resort to bullying tactics and lay claims to corners of the Internet that they think belongs to them.

And look, on occasion—I can probably count the moments on one hand—there have been people who’ve said things that made me change my mind about a certain event. I don’t think the end game is going in the direction Jkkrs think they’re going, but I can appreciate the opportunity to look at something between Jkk in a new light. It’s rare, but it happens.

This blog isn’t going to continue indefinitely, but for the short time that I’m here, I’m going to defend my space and my right to say what I want in my space.

I’m fucking losing my mind abt the aro discourse that’s happening right now bc I was following the person who started it (I unfollowed bc I don’t like drama, and I’m not saying their username for the same reason, pls don’t make this into a drama post I’m just venting abt how much this is driving me crazy) and like..

From what I can tell this all started because a mildly popular blogger shared some screenshots in frustration because a guy they knew was being pushy abt being fwb with no romantic attachment and disregarding their previous statements about not wanting this. Then just from those screenshots a bunch of people started to play devil’s advocate for no reason and go ‘oh well maybe he’s aro and is just clearly communicating his desires to have a non romantic physical relationship, nothing wrong with that!’ without considering op’s earlier posts that clearly indicated that this guy isn’t aro he’s just an asshole who hates commitment.

Honestly idk op’s opinion on aro people but before I unfollowed I noticed they were being bombarded by dozens of several paragraph long asks about how this douche was actually valid because he was obviously aro and they were being closed minded and queerphobic by being upset about it

That was when the ‘are cishet aro men queer’ poll happened, and I’m going nuts rn because yes heteroromantic aro men can be queer but like this dude is obviously just a douche and people without the full context were basically trying to bully op into thinking this guy was in the right and op was getting rightfully mad abt it but also leaning into aphobia territory by the time I unfollowed, and many of the poll responders were siding with them.

How chaotic do you think the villains from smg3s plan to destroy smg4 because he felt like would be when they all hang out

i fucking LOVE this episode to little bits and pieces, so lemme go over how i interpret each character (since they don’t show up like ever i can just lie and make shit up abt them and no one can tell me i’m wrong)

bowser- OBVIOUSLY the dad friend, tho idk if he counts since he does get kicked out of the group towards the end, but generally if he suggests they should do something that isn’t super evil everyone’s usually down for it.

smg3- literally the only one that wants to do super evil shit, acts like he’s in charge so everyone just lets him be in charge, i won’t go into too much detail since he’s literally still around and mostly the reason why everyone still watches the channel. but anyways he’s a pathetic loser, cringefail guy

xboxfan996- such a silly little guy, literally does not care if they succeed in killing smg4, just happy to hang out with people

x- idk why but i headcannon him as russian do not argue with me in this anyways he spends the whole video trying to not posses people since that’s his main form of being evil so he’s just kinda super uncomfortable being out in the open and shit

robot clone- so like after he blew up, i realized that his graphic was hall 9000’s little red eye thingy, and that hall 9000 appears in another video as a villain, and hall 9000 shows up in the crystal when smg3 uses it to bring all the villains back, but he’s not in this video? so personal head cannon, i think robot clone and hall 9000 ended up in the same scrap heap and sort of reached a symbiosis that hall can hang out in robot clone’s brain, and robot clone has the processing power now to still function

bot- weird gay nerd, thinks he’s smarter and way cooler than everyone else, he is pretty smart since most of these people are pretty dumb but he’s still mostly like a weird middle schooler

crazy toilet dude- pretty amicable when you’re not mean to his toilets, he’s just some dude who likes toilets and is participating because he thinks everyone there is a loser who needs guidance

a band i’m friends with asked me to design a show poster and some merch for them, and they needed the poster rushed (like, 3 day turnaround rushed which is crazy)..so i spent a full day and a half working on this poster that i thought turned out really cute and fun! and sent it to them a day early in multiple formats! they gave me almost nothing to work with aside from a basic color scheme and the show info and i really did my best to pull something together on a time crunch

…so i sent it over and they left me on read for 2 days. then they finally messaged me today and told me that they didn’t like the poster, they felt like it didn’t work with the vibe of the band, and they were just going to make one themselves. didn’t give me any notes or even a chance to rework the design. i feel like such a stupid asshole dude everything i do feels so hit or miss lately. right now it feels like mostly misses.

i replied apologizing that i didn’t meet their expectations and of course got left on read again. i’m so bummed. they didn’t address the merch they wanted me to do and i was sooo stoked to do it at first but now i don’t know if i even want to? like i feel like i’m going to be second guessing myself the whole time and worry that it’s not gonna be good enough or that i’m going to be rejected again. since they’re friends i didn’t ask for payment up front so if it doesn’t work out, at least nobody’s out any cash. but that also means i don’t get compensated for the time i already spent on the poster they didn’t like. and i really needed the cash i was supposed to make from the merch designs but idk if that’s gonna happen :(

The larpers (Leonard and Tammy)- crazy annoying, good choice to eliminate them first bc I don’t think I could’ve dealt with them for more than one episode

Father and son (Dwayne and junior)- idk why people like them sm bc I actually hated them sm. Junior made me physically cringe every time he was on screen and Dwayne is just…I hate him

Tennis rivals (Pete and Gerry)- idk they just didn’t get much screen time and we’re kinda annoying

Geniuses (Ellody and Mary)- again, just didn’t get enough screen time for me to actually form an opinion

Adversity twins (jay and Mickey)- idk how to feel abt them

Stepbrothers (Lorenzo and Chet)- annoying but had their moments

Mother and daughter (Kelly and Taylor)- Taylor wanted to be the it girl sooo bad it was kinda embarrasing, kelly was good tho

Vegans (Laurie and miles)- they were actually rlly funny but I hate vegans so…

Daters (Stephanie and Ryan)- they were actually rlly funny I can’t even lie

Rockers (rock and spud)- not much to say but i liked them

Best friends (Carrie and devin)- didn’t like them much at the beginning but I liked them more later on

Fashion bloggers (Tom and Jen)- deserved to stay longer, wish they didn’t leave so early bc I love them

Goths (ennui and crimson)- probs the healthiest relationship on the show, love them

Police cadets (MacArthur and sanders) love them, not much else to say but I didn’t rlly want them to win

Surfer dudes (Geoff and Brody)- loved that they brought geoff back and loved Brody as well, wish they had won

Reality tv pros (Owen and Noah)- again, happy that they decided to bring back the og cast, Noah was kind of ooc but wtv still loved him. Owen was also way better this season than he was in the first three seasons so that’s a plus

Sisters (Emma and kitty)- I loved them sm, Kitty was so much fun and I love Emma no matter how much hate she gets. Loved their dynamic with Owen and Noah, plus nemma was rlly cute

Ice Dancers (Josee and Jacques)- funniest team by far, I need josee in Roblox total drama so I can be her (that is the biggest compliment I can give a character)

As a graphic designer, Derrida’s deconstruction is like a holy text

I have to break down meanings that r socially constructed and then validated thru icons and symbols signs index yk semiotics

Like pretty is not abt beauty but rather every trait that’s ever stuck out to me/a way of being treated/discourse about privilege and also how that visually manifests is subjective the meaning gets broken down until it’s not abt pretty but abt value and why I value certain things over others

We know a fire happens bc we see smoke (smoke is an index) and also y’all is an index to show someone is from the south an index is like a clue and we know to stop driving bc we see a red light (red is a symbol for stop) we see a photo of a white dude w a halo and somehow think Jesus (icon) and what I do as a graphic designer is I go NO the twizzler will become smoke and b an index for fire but the fire will be a sour patch kid

Here I am changing what the index is and what symbols mean I am disrupting (western) metaphysics and understanding the world in a surrealist way that does not exist

I LOVE how kids will draw human faces on pizza trees and the sun it makes me smile from ear to ear they reimagine metaphysics in a way that’s so pure and lovely it’s all I wanna do

They personify things bc they assume everything feels smth like them like the world mirrors them I think this is why they tell adults “I’m telling on u” bc adults do that to them as a threat and so all they do at times is mirror what’s there

In more important shit tho graphic designers create the signs create the visuals we use to navigate the world everything is a picture or color choice or font like there is no modern world without consumer aesthetics idk we kinda the backbone of all this

I also think I have my foot in every kind of communication based hobby (radio, graphic design, research assistant, writing, waitressing, tutoring) or anything that requires analysis, conversation, or research 😭 I’m consistent there
