I've got some questions about your cyberpunk reader sagau idea like—
What exactly does Reader's body mods allow? Like, how do they enhance the body? Why abilities do they grant to reader? What limitations are there and do they limit Reader's in ways an organic body wouldn't
Before and during the hunt for Reader, how do they maintain their artificial components? Do any of them break beyond repair forcing reader to leave them behind?
Also the Reader having body mods for conquest is a great explanation for why it takes so fucking long for them to bleed. They're too fucking invincible to bleed unless they get done in real hard.
What do people like Dainsleif or Dottore's think of reader and their body mods? I mean the body mods were compared to Khaenri'ah's machinery and Dottore is Dottore.
Is anyone against hunting down Reader? If so, for what reasons?
These are some good questions but I haven't thought all of them through, but so far:
1. When writing the first idea, I imagined the reader being a bit like militech version of Adam Smasher, with bits of my own V from cyberpunk 2077 mixed in i.e. 60-70% of the body being converted to metal with only the head and chest organ area mostly fleshy. So the reader would be durable AF, capable of shrugging off a couple of blows from the archons assuming they didn't use elemental powers, incredible strength and speed, increased jump height and other combat mods like mantis blades or rocket launchers.
2. As for limitations; cyberpsychosis would be the main problem because of just how many mods they have. From a more physical side — blending in is damn near impossible, and all that cyberware is heavy, so it's going to be a challenge not waking up half of teyvat when going for a walk and swimming would also be difficult/our of the question as you'd just sink to the bottom.
Also, the electro element would be quite dangerous, as any attack would act like an EMP blast which could short-circuit important life-preserving systems.
2.5. currently I'm also headcannoning that the combat cybermods require A Lot of energy, and if you don't have that, the body will forcefully shut down for like 72h to generate energy, regardless of where you are...
3. I haven't thought about mods breaking, but I think the reader might be able to MacGyver old Khaenri'ahn tech to replace broken/lost pieces, though it wouldn't be a perfect match — like wearing boots two sizes too small. Before the hunt the reader really wouldn't need to do that, as their tech is durable as all hell and would have only needed cleaning once in a while.
4. Dottore, as a scholar, would be incredibly intrigued. He didn't believe in the divine, though he acknowledged their existence, but the reader would be something else... Like the pinnacle of human evolution, the seamless blending of flesh and steel would entrance him past the point of obsession. He may have enough self-control not to try and disassemble the reader, but be prepared for days worth of ceaseless questions, and his experiments would only grow more gruesome and brutal if you do not put a stop to it.
As for Dainslief... He would be conflicted. The reader's body would remind him too much of the horrors Khaenri'ah and it's leader inflicted on others, and of the war machines still wreaking havoc across Teyvat. But the reader bearing similarities to said machines, which once protected his home, protected him, would also make him feel...comfort? Idk how to describe it, but it's like the feeling of knowing someone is looking out for you, even when you have lost everything.
5. As for who's against the hunt; Barbados comes to mind because he too is an impostor and would be a hypocrite if he felt otherwise, though he keeps such thoughts to himself.
Nahida because she is connected to Teyvat so deeply that it's feelings would mingle with her own, and she couldn't shake the wrongness she feels when near the Impostor.
Alhaitham too, but his is more logical deduction; why would a creator try to fit into the standards made by their creations? It's utterly foolish to base their belief off an imagined appearance when it is your actions they should see.
Also the harbingers and the Tsaritsa, but those I'd say are pretty obvious as they seek to destroy Celestia, and a betrayed creator seems like the perfect rallying call.
______
This was reallyong and it's all up for change if I actually end up writing this, but this is just by thoughts rn lol.

Wanna add my input on the convo of how much of Songbird borg opposed to organic. The main question seems to be about her legs. Two reasons I think they’re organic. One, at the end of her path in Fierstarter when she jumps out of the gate, she hits her ankle, cries out in pain, (and comments about it) then limps to the van. So, she can most definitely feel pain there. Second, during the ride to NCX during The Killing Moon, V has to give her a booster and does so via her right leg. It would make sense that they’d have to be organic for the medicine to work because I doubt they would administer it to an area of cyberware. My natural assumption is that any implants in them would be to help support the weight of the chrome. Now about the rest of her body, it’s kinda tricky because some stuff (like her arms and torso) are most definitely cyberware, so her head is my main interest. We can literally see the plastic covering her chest/torso, meaning she has no skin left in the stomach area either. You can also see the plate covering her neck, meaning she likely doesn’t have skin, but notice how it’s the thickest layer of cyberware? I’m thinking maybe because there’s nerves in her neck. Technically, we know she HAS to have a brain because she’s not an ai, but it’s very likely she has some sort of spine left or bone/tissue around that area which is why it’s so heavily protected. Truth be told, I have absolutely no idea what that little metal plate on her chin does, it’s probably irrelevant but maybe you have an idea? Same goes for the metal sternum, idk why it couldn’t be full plated like the rest of her chest area. All I know is it looks badass lol. As for her face, her ears are gone but she can still hear just fine, meaning her eardrums have to be intact, or if not, there’s something else supporting her hearing. I really REALLY hope her face and cheeks are still organic, her neck isn’t because we can see the plate covering the chrome from behind but truly I hope she can still feel things in that area. She does lean her cheek against V’s hand in that one scene so every bone in my body wants to say that’s because she’s touch starved. (But we all know she is regardless lol.) So that really just leaves the question of where liquid goes when she drinks it. Champagne at the party, water at the spaceport. She’s gotta have SOME sort of throat or throat system to be able to swallow but where the hell does it end up? I HIGHLY doubt you could squeeze any internal organs in that chrome but surely it’s gotta go somewhere. I overthink lol. Anyway, that’s all I can pull from it. 🤷🏻‍♂️ (I’d love to include images but the post is so long it won’t let me lol) Not checking for grammar issues on this one
This is how it feels digging even deeper into topic of Songbird's body😭💙 let's gooo
Tumblr media
First - legs. I totally forgot to mention the booster scene, but you're so right!! It struck me too that V applies it specifically in her leg. Another confirmation that they have to organic.
Secondly - I really have no idea what these metal pieces on her chin and sternum serve for. I'm gonna stick with my 'protecting from electromagnetic fields' theory for the lack of better alternative. And it does indeed look badass😌
Third - her face. Weird metaphor perhaps, but it kinda seems to be in 'a frame' of all this chrome? Also, girl still has hair so I'd say it was left untouched by the surgeons.
Tumblr media
Also, come on! there's a reason why she leans with her cheek when V touches her. If she didn't feel anything at all, why would she do it??
Fourth - her throat has to work somehow. Maybe it's this thicker part that serves as its replacment?
Tumblr media
She may be mostly chrome, but she's still human. Water has to be somehow processed and distributed to rest of her organic body. She wouldn't be alive otherwise. IT HAS TO WORK SOMEHOW.
Okay, now put your tinfoil hat on.
Tumblr media
So Mi has to have some nervous connections going from her head throughthe upper body, cause how in the hell would she still feel her legs otherwise?? Also, the mechanical parts have to connected somehow to her brain too if she's able to move them. My guess it's the wires I selected with red colour.
This little engine on her back intrigues me though. These are completely different wires going somewhere inside her body. Also, it changes colour when she connects to the Blackwall. Is this some power junction? Or a generator? Maybe that's where energy from food/water is processed and distributed to her organic parts of the body?
One more thing - there's no way Songbird doesn't have a brain (it sounds quite funny tho XD). She wouldn't be alive otherwise. Remember, even an engram stored on a Relic requires an organic brain to function.

OKAY im gonna talk about the thing in mask of the rose thats been consuming my thoughts. For people who might know the scene I'm talking about, it's something Ivy tells you, and the game keeps giving you options to stop the conversation because it is, genuinely, pretty disturbing. its got horror elements that have been in FL before, but never in this particular way, and as i said in my last post, seeing the content warnings will probably give away the broad strokes. im gonna put them in the tags, and hopefully if you have them filtered, then you wont see this at all? idk. i genuinely am sorry if you see this and didnt want to, but i have things i wanted to say about it
okay so in mask of the rose, Ivy gets really into doing Hallowmas stuff, accepting peoples confessions and secrets, and occasionally doing stuff to their memories (i think there was something in Zubmariner where theres a port made up of peoples regrets?? it might be connected to that, but i never played zumbariner. it might also be something Midnighter adjacent. or it might be its own thing!! i just dont know)
Ivy can tell you about a confession she received, which is incredibly disturbing. To make it quick: a womans child died, and times being hard as they are, she ate it. But then David returned from the dead fully intact, and everyone learned that death isnt permanent. Ivy had to remove this womans memory of what she'd done
like i said, while FL as a franchise has included (maybe too much?) cannibalism, and certainly a decent amount of child death, it's never been... like this before. it was disturbing in a way nothing else ever had been in any of the games
...so is it bad to say that i kinda liked it?
cannibalism has come up in fallen london often, but its usually kind of flippant about it imo. like, it's a thing that debauched rich people do sometimes, or starving zailors do, or deranged cultsits do, but not people like US. random women in london dont get that desperate!!! until they do.
and when cannibalism appears in the games, its usually written so... idk distantly? that i really never feel much of anything for it, except almost bored. most of the time when it shows up, im like "wow cannibalism. again. how original 🙄 pretty sure thats the only horrific twist fbg even knows exists". i dont think it's bad, the way its usually written. it's not like i even WANT ever lurid detail, and i think it would be pretty bad for me and for the writers to do that. but the side effect is that, for me personally anyway, it never really has the weight i think they probably want it to
but in mask of the rose? its a visual novel, so youre not given that same kind of distance you get in fallen london. it affected me in a way that other, similar horrific moments very much did not. I mean, i played all of seeking and i just thought it was boring for the most part!!!!
i also think it really gets at the horror of "you cant die in the neath". i mean, this woman did something horrible and taboo out of desperation, and then had to learn that it was also entirely unnecessary. she could have just waited! how could she possibly live with herself, having done this? but also she cant die! what option is there for her, other than to excise the memory entirely?
and also i think it emphasizes why cannibalism would be especially taboo and especially horrific in the neath. if death is rarely permanent, i would think defiling someones corpse would be seen as especially abhorrent
anyway. it was a moment of pure horror and i kind of liked that it was in the game. its a little tonally out of step with the rest of motr, tho, lol. but it kinda makes me wish theyd leaned more in on the horror of the fall. you as the player character want for very little, because you always have food and a place to sleep, and the Masters are (allegedly) organizing and distributing resources. but also... i mean clearly thats not benefitting everyone, and i think thats genuinely really interesting
.......... although i sure would like it if i could stop thinking about that scene lol. the game kept being like "you dont have to read this" and i did not listen. ain't that just the way!!!!

its so late but im like. ive been thinking for Three Days Straight about how much i love mileena lmao like okay. okay. she's a fucking construct basically made to be kitana's 'better' replacement & Made To Order to suit her father's purposes, except she's kinda put in this weird position where despite being told she's the rightful heir etc etc, she's also constantly reminded of the fact that she's not the original, that she's a clone at Best. & her tarkatan side is so very off-putting to people around her, she's feared and that gains her some respect but also she's never actually been loved, so there's something she's missing out on and i think honestly on a very deep subconscious level, that's exactly the type of connection she's craving. i don't even know if she would organically want to be khan, or if she just had it drilled into her that it was 1. the only path for her to take and 2. the only way she would ever find any sort of acceptance from anyone, even it was was forced.
i think there's a part of her that really does want a real connection with her sister but because she has no real way of knowing how to build that (not like kitana is interested in the first place lmao) it just manifests in hostility. idk maybe it's just projecting but i read a lot of her lashing out & anger as a cover for a deeper hurt & feeling of isolation. it's very clear that no one is really accepting her for Her nor are they interested in doing so, and i have to believe it's affected her emotional development. i could also just be reading too much into her teddy bear tea party, but there was something i found to be really just... sad almost? about the jade and kitana bears. like yes it's silly or whatever but c'mon. i think it's very much implied that there's some jealousy towards their friendship, and i think that there was a time she would have loved to be included in it but just couldn't break in. i maintain she doesn't actually hate kitana & what we see is a mixture of shao khan's influence + repeated rejection.
i'm not saying that love can 'fix' her or whatever, but i think a genuine friend who was in her corner and just wanted to be around her without fear-based coercion would make a huge impact in her life.

ok i'm gonna finish bg3 re au so it can leave my mind. begone from me vile thoughts
Edit: adding the Wyll and Karlach bios from an earlier post for safe keeping
Karlach- Gortash (UBCS) betrays her to Zariel (top Umbrella researcher) who infects her w the T-veronica virus. Like Manuela she has to keep getting organ transplants bc of how unstable her condition is, and though she hopes for a cure she also recognizes the reality of her condition and tries to find humane ways of getting the transplants she needs w/out the help of Umbrella. May work as a lone mercenary in between escaping and meeting the other companions- can't imagine her working for something like the BSAA since that would put a target on her back
Wyll- Ulder starts as a high ranking BSAA agent and then gets into politics and Wyll is set up to do the same. Has the opportunity to go undercover and expose Umbrella by using Mizora (she works directly under Zariel but has her own motives) as a contact. His father finds out about their connection but not the reasons behind it and banishes him. Wyll decides to work as a travelling spy (working against bioterrorism with Mizora as a contact) and is at some point infected w the G virus. He survives but it mutates his right eye and he gets a prosthetic after. Is sent to kill Karlach, obviously does not after he learns about what she's been thru. Has made a name for himself but no one really knows the real wyll.... until now (gasp)
Lae'zel: was raised in a nondescript German village like the nondescript Spanish and Romanian villages that appear in re4/8. Everyone that lives there is infected with a unique form of the Megamycete ("for the good of the collective"). The people of the village subscribe to "the strong will survive" mentality which has made Lae'zel ruthless. She has never known life beyond the village. Trained to kill.
Gale: Kind of a Luis situation- low level Umbrella researcher, his hubris gets the better of him as he tries to appease his superior Mystra and he infects himself w uroboros. Has to take those shots Whiskas takes to keep it under control. Ends up fighting against Umbrella as a researcher and intel
Shadowheart: Il Veltro operative sent on missions to recover viruses from competitors. Morally bankrupt spy, Shar is her superior and she would do anything for her approval. Was given the P30 device by Shar and eventually seeks to be free of it. Weirdly enough the only one to have never been infected (until now)
Astarion: Corrupt judge gets nearly beaten to death in the street, he's found by Cazador and used as a subject for the submissive strain of Las Plagas. Continued to be used as a test subject until his eventual escape
They all meet after having been taken from their respective locations by.... IDK who and infected with Cadou parasites. It's a matter of days before they mutate hypothetically but for some reason some mysterious benefactor is giving them medicine to suppress the parasite... it may react weirdly w/ other people's various viruses and parasites (Supersedes las plagas so Cazador can't control Astarion, etc.) (Emperor has already mutated from the Cadou and probably looks more like Moreau than Mindflayer)
Edit: in this hypothetical game it's an Outbreak style, choose your own character but play as a team option. They each have their own specialties and weapons. Takes some inspo from old school resident evil, where Gale and Shadowheart are the only ones who can mix herbs, Astarion doesn't start with any weapons, Lae'zel has a larger health bar than the others by virtue of her training, etc.

Random, but do you think RE8 would be better if there was more exploration of The Connections as an evil organization?
I think RE7 did a good job in establishing it via Eveline and to some extent, Mia. But I feel that was all put away to waste in RE8.
What are your thoughts on the potential of Yhe Connections? Do you think The Connections would have any other connections to Umbrella apart from Mother Miranda and Spencer?
I really do! I think that after the og games had Umbrella as the big bad, including other corporations like Tricell and Neo-Umbrella and w/e, that after the introduction of a new bioterrorist company in this universe that it makes sense that people associated with them would be the next big bads. And they kiiiiinda did this but not really. Miranda worked with The Connections, sure, but her motivations had nothing to do with it, and not in a fun “I am going to betray these people for my own personal gain” way like Wesker did, she just used them for what she needed and then disappeared to continue being a cult leader, not using her bioterrorist connections (no pun intended) as part of her plan at all.
Hell, the game focuses more on UMBRELLA’S origins in that game and how they relate to Miranda than The Connections. If you look at the files, The Connections is actually rlly relevant to the og games because its founder is someone who was close with one of the og founders of Umbrella. That’s interesting! The building may be knocked down but the foundation still stands and build again! The founder is Brandon Bailey, right hand man of Dr. James Marcus. Bailey was presumed dead, killed by Albert Wesker, but he’s live and founded The Connections with his influence and wealth. And the only reason we know that is because of optional game files when that’s actually interesting for this universe. It’s such a disappointment.
8 Was such a separate thing from the rest of the series, even 7, I don’t think anyone disagrees with that. And I think 8 kinda recycled Ethan’s motivation of “I’m only doing this to rescue someone who’s important to me” instead of doing something different with his motivation and character, or just having a different character for 8 entirely. Idk 8 was just such a let down esp for me as someone who cares abt lore

jt (finally) watches warrior nun - s1 e2
Another interesting episode - today, I have thoughts on:
Ava and Mary's parallels
Duretti, and some filming irks
More Beatrice thoughts lol
Okay, about Ava and Mary: such an interesting choice, to have these two particular storylines run parallel to each other. Both are diving deeper into things they don't understand, trying to find some sort of closure/answers; both quite unstable and at times, desperate. Idk I feel like that bit where Mary's torturing that dude and Ava leaves JC to find Michael (who was creepy af ngl) was an interesting parallel at what they're both capable of: Mary leaving behind her humanity, Ava leaving behind what's been her first semblance of comfort and safety.
Also, again, have to give props to both Alba Baptista and Toya Turner because their scenes could have fallen flat, but their acting choices were brilliant. Also, a nod to JC's character too - I think if he wasn't written so sympathetically (and if Emilio Sakraya didn't play him with such kindness and sincerity), it wouldn't bring out Ava's different moods (and Alba's reactions).
Let's talk a bit about Duretti - fascinating how they portray him in both cinematography and dialogue as the quintessential baddie - and also how that characterization immediately makes us want to be sympathetic to Vincent (again, setting up for his betrayal later). My only beef so far are the scenes between Duretti and Kristian, and then Duretti and Jillian, mostly for the trite "religion vs science" dialogue and the uninspired cinematography.
I say the latter only because we've seen really beautiful cinematography for Ava, so I'm assuming it was a conscious choice, but still I'm not sure what it brought, just having close face shots the whole time. It would have been really nice if they used the setting a bit more - for example, if they had the lighting play a role, maybe during that standoff between Duretti and Jillian, have the camera a bit wide at times and have the light swing back and forth between the two, maybe even time it to light a character when they have the upper hand in the argument.
In that standoff between Duretti and Kristian, I think the writing could have been improved by being more aware of the audience they have. To have to be indirect about things not only would have added some tension to the exchange but also force the audience to think a bit more. For example, that scene where Ava gets all excited about the wheelchairs and she says "I always wanted one of these!" - the others are a bit confused about it but we the audience can make the connection that oh, right, because of when she was paralyzed. Again, this might have been a choice, maybe to not force the audience to think so much? idk
Okay now my favorite thing, analyzing Beatrice lol. Three things stuck out to me (outside of the fact that for a "seemingly" minor character, she's present quite a bit) - first, how she does the research on the tarasks herself. So, in the military and larger organizations in general that have a similar hierarchy and specialist teams, leaders would typically assign other people to do that kind of research. Which makes me wonder: Did Bea just want to do it herself? Does the OCS not have folks who specialize in research? I feel like the latter wouldn't be true (though we don't really have any evidence otherwise) and more that it's the former: I'm willing to bet that Beatrice doesn't see herself as much of a leader though she carries herself as one (see my notes on the first episode here). Though now I've just had a thought: I wonder if this is her also trying to keep info close to only the core group? Mm that doesn't quite work because Camila's there, and it would've been easy to assign her as the junior person to research things. Anyway, I just see this as an interesting choice of Beatrice doing the work herself.
Second thing is the tranquilizer gun. Note how this was hidden beneath her robes - she has to put away the weapon she was holding to then reach for it:
Tumblr media
This makes me think two things: 1) she figured there'd be a lull and she would have the time to get to it, showing again her incredible foresight and strategic thinking, and 2) she was hiding it from the others. That latter is really interesting to me. I don't think she was hiding it because she felt ashamed of it, but rather it being an extension of the first point above: Beatrice does the work herself. Additionally, this is her working off of her own conclusions from the conversation with Vincent - she didn't receive a direct order from Vincent, they just talked about Vincent wanting to "give her [Ava] a choice" and she went with that. So this is her acting on her own but because she was convinced by/agreed with Vincent. (Side note: This makes me wonder what action Beatrice would have taken if she hadn't had that conversation with Vincent - again, fascinating to think about what Beatrice is capable of).
Third and last, there's that flippant comment "I had a feeling she'd be a handful." Two things here again: 1) this kind of ability to make light of a shitty situation (in contrast to Lilith's exasperation) reminds me again of the military, where dark humor is really one of the only and best ways you can cope sometimes, and 2) it's also Bea kinda making light of her own abilities - her ability to foresee and plan (and follow, in a way). Again, this is Bea not seeing herself as a leader or extraordinary.
Alright, well I've got some travel planned this weekend but hopefully I'll get to episode 3 before that, but no promises.

yea it's really kinda fucked up what kind of attitudes people of various professions have towards hyper mobility in itself and what it could be connected to. like I had a friend who dislocated her shoulders maybe once a week and we overheard the adults talk about how the medical conclusion seemed to be "hmm, is this kid being abused" rather than "maybe there is a reason this kid dislocates her shoulders every time she tries to hang from something". and then my teacher, when I went to school, just straight up told us that joints overextending just means we've got weak muscles and having a specific kind of posture means we are in bad shape (kids! we were kids! not even pre-teens yet wtf?) and then later on a personal trainer kind of person declared I am NOT hyper mobile because apparently my hands didn't align a certain way she was looking for? like I can sublux my shoulders at will, have to walk a certain way to keep my knees aligned, lock up my fingers doing certain activities etc and apparently maybe have some extra wear and tear here and there from this sort of shit, but you got it, pal 🙄
honestly I don't understand what's so hard for ppl to comprehend like your body's right there and it's doing this thing and then ppl keep going "oh, idk, maybe this isn't a thing?" like ???
Oh my god, that's immensely fucked up. I'm sorry you have awful medical professionals like that in your life... Truly, you deserve better!
I absolutely think 'oh you can just exercise away EDS/HSD in general' is a massive oversimplification. Strength building exercise has HUGE benefits for hypermobile folks, don't get me wrong! But exercise doesn't do jack shit about internal organ problems, or get rid of long-term damage that's already been done to nerves or joints? And frankly, if you are severely unstable, it can absolutely make it worse.
Like..... I am muscular. I work out A LOT, and have done for years. I have a lot of visible muscle! I have very little body fat, but what weight I carry, is muscle. It just......... only gets me to the approximate strength of an 'average' person, and my joints are still very weak and give out regularly.
My physio still wants me to work out even more to add more muscle mass, for what amounts, all together considering my personal exrcise plan, to 2+ hours a day (approximately 1 hour of work out and 1 hour of physio) just to maintain my ability to walk dodgily and not lose further functionality & sensation in my legs.
Like... That's completely unfeasible considering I also have a day job with up to 12 hour shifts, chronic fatigue and pain AND exercise intolerance??
The 'exercise' solution just feels like a super-handy way for health professionals to put all the pressure on the individuals to manage their own condition, with completely unrealistic expectations, and minimise the amount of care they actually provide. Like, I know EDS is a genetic incurable condition and there's literally nothing else you can do except brace, rest lots, gain muscle, exercise, and treat the internal problems as they occur. But. Sigh. A little appreciation of how that's impossible for most people living with this condition would be better than the usual 'oh this will be cured by exercise so it's not actually a problem :)' bullshit.
But.... yeah. Shit's fucking wild. I'm truly sorry you and your friends dealt with that. Keep on troopin'. You know your body better than any health professional you see for a fifteen fucking minute appointment. x

One/Vecna: What is he, and how does he survive?
CW: Dead Bodies and Gore (but it's just stuff that's shown in the show)
So I've had a big question for awhile that I've see pretty much no one ask before: How is One alive? Is he alive? Does he exist in a limbo? What the fuck is his deal exactly?
I think answering this may also provide some clues as to how Will was able to survive in the upside down. Because I do see people ask that one, which, again confuses me because we don't even know the answer to how One isn't dead.
How did One end up in the upside down?
Tumblr media
So we see El send him to the shadowrealm basically. His body dematerializes into small particles as he's sent into an alternate dimension.
Tumblr media
As he was falling through this dimension he was burned to a crisp by multiple lightning strikes. Being struck by lighting even once could cause cardiac arrest, and it also damages nerve cells, can cause temporary paralysis and can cause vessels in the brain to burst. I don't think I need to say that being struck as many times as One was would 100% kill a normal person, but this alternate dimension isn't the same as our reality. It does have some similarities, because we do see his skin is burned pretty badly.
What did he do once he was in there, exactly?
Tumblr media
We see him create the mind flayer with the particles in the air. And then things basically end there. I kinda gotta shrug and say I don't know for this question.
We see El make contact with a Demogorgon in season 1. This contact causes a portal to the upside down to open in Hawkins lab.
Tumblr media
Back to the original topic: how is One even alive (?)
According to basic science, all forms of life need some source of energy to be considered alive. For animals, this is food, water and oxygen. For plants it's sunlight and water. For fungi it can be a variety of things.
The upside down isn't 1 to 1 accurate with real life. But there are living things in the upside down. At least there is in the later version of it.
In the original version, it's basically just sand and rocks. Inanimate objects. There is lightning, which implies the existence of air. Not a living thing, but a thing that living organisms do need. The Demogorgons or creatures similar to them are already there, which would imply creatures of this realm do not need or have another source for energy.
Honestly gonna need to wait for the Duffer bros to expand on this because, i have. NO fucking clue how One is alive for those three years. The only possible explanation could be that maybe time has a different effect on your body in the upside down? idk man
After El opens the portal
Now this is where things get more explain-able. So we know that at this point, the upside down is a hive-mind and the demogorgon, mindflayer, etc are all connected to Vecna. There are also phsycial vines along the floor of the upside down which connect back to him.
Because they are all connected, we can infer that what the creatures digest is also put into the source (Vecna.)
The demogorgon is attracted to blood, as pointed out by Nancy. When she and Jonathan first encounter one, they see what they think is it eating a deer.
We are familiar, with eating, as humans. That was a dumb fucking sentence, okay, what I mean is, we usually apply our egocentric thinking as a way to rationalize other things. Animals eat, humans eat, so obviously, demogorgons must eat, right? Wrong, actually!
We never really see the bodies of any of these things killed by creatures of the upside down get eaten and digested. We see them biting them, but no actual eating is done. The dead deer, Mews, Barb, Bob... all dead bodies, but they remain mostly in tact.
Tumblr media
Mews is dead, but no substantial amount flesh has been consumed.
Tumblr media
Behind the scenes shot of Barb's (fake) corpse. We see that she is split open, but all of her....uhhh... stuff? is still there.
Tumblr media
Multiple demodogs going at Bob, but there's not really much flesh being torn off him.
The closest we get is Dart eating a three musketeers. And, also, I think meat Dustin leaves out for him? But that's it.
Barb is notable because she is literally brought to the upside down, but when El finds her she is just a decaying corpse. Why wouldn't the demogorgon consume her entirely?
Mushrooms.
So I mentioned before that there are crucial things every living organism needs. For humans and animals, it's water, oxygen and food. For plants it's water, oxygen and sunlight.
The upside down doesn't have water or sunlight. This eliminates the existence of plants in the upside down completely. Same thing with animals or humans. In fact, every living organism needs water to survive.
Which leaves us with... Fungi.
Now fungi also needs water. But fungi can absorb water, like other nutrients it needs, through it's environment.
Fungi is the one confirmed thing that can live in the upside down. The script labels what has originally thought to be ash falling from the sky as spores.
Fungi is kind of a biological mystery in a lot of ways. Scientists still don't actually fully understand fungi.
What we do know is that fungi thrives in dark, damp environments and that it feeds on decay.
This brings me back to the things killed by creatures of the upside down- I think that their end goal is not to eat them, but to kill them and let the fungus from the upside down envelope them. This is where they get their energy from.
Vines? Roots?
So the hivemind is connected via these. And the characters do label them as such. But roots and vines are things for plants. What I think the things in the upside down actually are would probably be labelled better as Mycelium (basically, mushroom roots.)
Mycelium can cover huge amounts of area. The worlds largest organism is actually a fungus with mycelium- it takes up about 10 square kilometers (thats 6.2 miles for my fellow americans out there.)
Pesticides
So in my research I was able to answer a question that I wasn't even actually aiming to answer. But if you remember, in season 3, we see Mrs. Driscoll and and the rats consuming both soil and chemicals. This seemed really fucking weird at the time, and I'm pretty sure it was literally never fucking brought up again. But I actually figured it out bc I'm a genius and totally not because I just randomly stumbled upon this information.
Tumblr media
(Bag of fertilizer lists Chloride and Ammonium Phosphate as ingredients, both are toxic to ingest.)
Fungus can absorb pesticides. When fungus absorbs these pesticides, it absorbs the toxic qualities of them.
So when Vecna was having the members of his hivemind ingest chemicals, it wasn't just for a laugh, he was likely doing it to weaponize himself. Why exactly, I'm not 100% sure, but this makes it clear that he has the ability to absorb these toxic qualities, like mushrooms do.
So what does this mean
Vecna is still alive, somehow... But he has taken on mushroom-like-qualities rather than animal ones. Fucking WILD, I know. But how how else can you really explain it? He absorbs nutrients from his tentacle-like appendages, similar to a plant or fungus. But he seemingly doesn't eat them, instead killing them and letting them rot. He then extracts nutrients from their rotting corpses (gross), in a way... using them as part of his life cycle. This could be what he means when he says he wants his victims to "join him"-- he doesn't want them to physically join them, but rather, he's like "heyyy let me slurp up the supplements from your cadaver (i tried to word it differently, it's still gross I'm sorry) and use them to continue my work here"
What about Will?
So I think everyone can agree that Vecna does not want Will dead, by any stretch of the imagination.
Tumblr media
We see that by the end of season one, Vecna has actually connected Will to the hivemind via a tentacle. This could serve two purposes:
He wanted to implant the baby-demodogs inside him (gross.)
He was trying to keep Will alive with the nutrients he was absorbing though the hivemind.
Honestly it was probably both! Will is clinically dead when Hopper and Joyce find him, no breath or heartbeat. But... does Vecna have a breath or heartbeat? I don't know. And Vecna isn't dead, so... Maybe Vecna was trying to Vecnify Will. Vecnafication, if you will (you wont.)
We don't know exactly how long Vecna had Will on life support in the upside down, probably at least an hour? But maybe borrowing some life from Vecna is what is causing their connection.
Hopper and Joyce don't get attacked in the upside down like the men Brenner sends down do. I think that Vecna probably wanted Hopper and Joyce to find and rescue Will, so that he could use Will both to spy and to use him to incubate...? The pollywogs?
Conclusion
Vecna has become a sentient fungus lifeform. I realize sound kind of insane for saying that but Stranger Things is a sci-fi show made for entertainment purposes so maybe it's not that far-fetched.
There's still a lot of unanswered questions. But I feel like this answers a couple of questions I originally had. Excited to see how close I got with this!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Will is mushroom-shaped, if u really think about it..... (i'm jk)

Hand over all your Tsumugi Headcanons asap. If you dont have anny hand over all the lore insted
Ive been in a bit of a slump creatively lately so i feel like i forgot any and all headcanons i ever had. I hoped i'd get better, i didnt, and having an unanswered asks bothers me so i'll be very boring in my reply.
Tsumugi's easy to misinterpret. He's clumsy and caring, but he also never lets any task he starts unfinished. He can be surprisingly cold, i think, because he sees himself as unaffected by what's happening around him.
Backstory wise, we know his mom falls prey easily to scam organizations (i believe it was mentioned theyre religious in nature, but i have to double check, it was definitely in Element). This lead to her losing money, a divorce, having to close the dance school she had where Tsumugi and Natsume met as kids. Tsumugi has an older brother who is distant from the family, presumably because of his mom's actions.
Despite all of this drama, Tsumugi doesn't resent his family. It was also a miscalculation on Eichi's part when he assumed Tsumugi was his friend cuz he wanted money to distance himself from his mom. Which was never the case. I personally would love more Tsumugi family lore, i want to meet his brother in the future, but alas, this is what we know so far.
When you think of the war, you condemn Eichi and Keito, but overlook that Tsumugi was just as much involved in scheming as the rest. He didnt start the war, but he was invested in seeing the plan finished, even after he got cast aside, he never neglected his duties down to the burning of the documents. He admits multiple times he sees what they did as a necessary action and never regrets it. But because he believed so much in Eichi and didn't want to acknowledge that it was a contract based friendship, you can't help but feel bad for Tsumugi. You're more willing to forgive him and pretend he was just manipulated by Eichi. Even Madara seems to have fallen for this and to be on good terms with Tsumugi now despite the animosity he holds towards the people who actively participated in the war.
Tsumugi adapts easily. It's part of his objective "i dont feel pain" persona he puts up. The main role he plays is that of bluebird of happiness, at first for Eichi, then for everyone else as a way to make up for the pain they've caused in the war. And this just makes him seem trustworthy and pleasant to talk to, it's why he has so many connections. He also seems to know a lot of secrets because of this persona. The younger characters see him as a caring older brother, but the rest just see him as inoffensive. Rei in particular is known to just. Share random secrets about other characters with Tsumugi.
Idk if anything im saying really matters, let's go in speculation territory. I cannot provide answers in the form of headcanons as requested, but i can provide questions. Im very curious how the story wouldve progressed if Tsumugi had been part of Valkyrie instead of Fine. Cuz we know he was in the handicrafts club, he stopped attending cuz it became more of a Valkyrie hangout spot, we know he adapts easily if he believes in a cause; i think he couldve followed Shu's demands if he could get himself to care for their artistic goals. And I really dont think the war wouldve been won by the student council if this had been the case. Shu and Natsume would also not have been part of the oddballs. Idk im not really going anywhere with this train of thought, im just saying Tsumugi was essential to the war and the narrative to progress as it did.

Review #8: Yumi's Cells (Season 1)
WARNING: THIS POST DEF CONTAINS SPOILERS. PLEASE READ AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED THE DRAMA. (I will do my best to label spoilers, but I’m not perfect.)
With the second season announced, this drama has been showing up in front of me a lot lately. For a while, I thought it looked kind of cringe, which is why it took me so long to finally give it a chance. What made me cave in was seeing that Jinyoung from GOT7 was a part of the show. This drama came out in 2021 and is starring Ahn Bo-hyun, Kim Go-eun and Jinyoung.
Welcome to THE THIRST CORNER!!!!
I'm gonna just say it right off from the beginning, I figured I would simp over Jinyoung the most. He's someone I know, he's definitely handsome and his character (Yoo Bobby) is really sweet.
HOWEVER
Tumblr media
Ku Woong is possibly the most attractive male lead I've ever seen. Like, the way I was instantly smitten with him? His hair is so cute, I LOVE HIS BEARD IDK WHAT ANYONE ELSE SAYS. Also, to be blunt, he's got some tig ol' biddies and I am a FAN. He's so strong yet gentle. I love the gentle giant type idk.
He's also not just physically attractive (100% my ideal type in this drama) his personality is just AHG. He's so smart and level headed. I'm in love with his big juicy brain. The way he does quick math? I'm in awe. But like he's also dumb? The most perfect himbo to ever exist.
Also, he looks like a real life Asahi Azumane (but Korean instead of Japanese ofc).
Like, Woong is absolutely best boy. He's not perfect, of course, but he's so sweet. I can't find any other words to describe the way he makes me feel. I just am absolutely head over heels in love with him. Would do anything for him. I feel like I could treat him better than Yumi. Just come here sweet boy. All I want is one chance.
Tumblr media
Like?? He's too precious for this world?? (this scene had me kicking my feet and squealing like I was 14 again)
Also, as someone who isn't the best at cleaning, the fact that he genuinely enjoys cleaning and organizing is that much more attractive. He's my perfect opposite and I think we could really make it work.
Side note: I couldn't figure out where I recognized him from, but he plays Eun-gi in Her Private Life! (I thought he was also adorable in this role and got severe second male lead syndrome from him). So maybe I'm an Ahn Bo-Hyun fan. What about it?
Okay wow that was a lot. I'm just obsessed with him.
NOW LETS TALK ABOUT JINYOUNG
Tumblr media
His character is unbelievably sweet. I love how respectful he is. (SPOILER) Like, I def could tell he had feelings for Yumi, but did his best to not make her or Woong uncomfortable. Also, Yoo Bobby deserves better, tbh. (SPOILER) His girlfriend was terrible and I hope nothing good ever happens to her.
I obviously have less to say about him because 1- he's not Woong. 2-He actually wasn't around much until the end. I'll have more to say once I watch and review season 2.
Thank you for indulging me as I gush about the love of my life Ku Woong. I feel like I can move on now. (Not move on from Woong but just like move on in the review).
I feel like this drama concept was really original. Like, the fact that different cells in our body control different things. The animation gave a really cool look into the mind of our characters without taking away from the story too much. I think, of all the cells, I loved Hunger the most . He's a cutie and I love the little tteokbokki on his head.
Lets talk female lead really quick.
I was so excited when I realized the female lead was my girl Kim Go-eun. I loved her in Goblin and was excited to see her in a bit of a more mature role.
Lets start with the things I love about Yumi :)
Tumblr media
I love the way that she's most motivated by Love. (Thats an indirect spoiler I guess?) I find that extremely relatable and could really connect to Yumi, especially in the beginning. She works hard and is diligent with whatever she's given. When she does something, she puts her entire heart into it, which I think is really admirable.
Now what I don't like :(
Especially towards the end, it became so difficult to root for Yumi. Maybe it was because I was so wrapped around Woong's finger, but she seemed to not even take him into consideration. If Woong wasn't doing things her way, then he was in the wrong. I do admit, there were mistakes Woong made along the way (SPOILER) mostly just holding too tightly to his pride as a man. But Yumi just kind of did whatever she wanted. Maybe that was just me. She just let too much bother her in regards to outside influences and her relationship. I hope she's grown by Season 2.
The ending gave me 25/21 flashbacks(iykyk). It didn't feel right. It felt like it was just because they wanted a more "realistic" ending and didn't even bother to look at character development. Or even want to put in the work to develop the characters. I was so distressed by the ending that I literally put my head down on my desk and cried for a while. I can't imagine finishing this drama and not knowing there was a second season. Props to all of you that had to endure this long.
In regards to the OST, I actually really like it. The only artist I recognize is J.UNA as well as DOYOUNG. But I think the soundtrack really did well to set the mood. It's also just nice background music for life, which means its a good OST in my opinion!
I'm hopeful that season 2 will be just as good if not better. This drama made me laugh, cry, scream, swoon, and everything else in-between. That's something I like in whatever media I'm consuming, whether it be a kdrama or a marvel movie.
Rating for this drama: 9/10 (It has inserted itself into my kdrama top 20)
Reminder that these are simply my opinions. If this is your favorite drama, I don’t mean to offend you. Feel free to put what you loved/didn’t love in the comments. Just be kind and remember that everyone like different dramas. Also please be nice to me, I am but a normal person. :)

Hi! Just wanting to talk about the Shadows Of Rose DLC!
First of all, your talk of it was amazing, and I loved how you analyzed it completly- amazing work!! I found you while scrolling through the tags for Resident Evil 8, and you've earned yourself a follow!!
Secondly, I'm a little on the fence about them turning Redfield into a villain. I mean, at this point of the universe, he has already lost his younger sister, Claire and her (Boyfriend?? Fwb??? What is Leon to Claire?? Tbh I've played resident evil but I just know Claire died? I didn't get too far into her and Leon's relationship, I only say boyfriend as that's what it seemed like in Resident Evil 2) Friend Leon.
He's also seen that most of the big organizations, The B.S.A.A, The Connections, Umbrella, can't be trusted at all since all three are connected due to the megamycete. Tbh, it's all but fair for him to become a villan- but a villain who destroys things that those three companies are doing.
I never really liked Chris in Resi evil 8 (Coughs awkwardly at the fanfiction I wrote) because he was basically just hiding things from Chris. Why the hell did he not tell Ethan before idk fucking kidnapping his goddamn child?? Oh, and not to mention this whole thing probably wouldn't have happened if Chris LET ETHAN HELP IN THE FIRST PLACE!!
Also, what idiot puts Miranda- a person you know can connect with the megamycete and you don't know if she's dead or not cause you used regular bullets- In the same van as the two people she was trying to kill?! If that isn't the stupidest fucking move known to man then idk what is.
So on one hand, yes, Chris deserves to be a villain cause he's been fucked over by the system. He's lost his sister and Leon and possibly many other friends because of Umbrella and the other corporations. I feel f
On the other hand, Chris is already a fucking villan. He betrayed Ethan's trust, he 'killed' his wife infront of him, he didn't tell Ethan about the entire plan until the end, and after Ethan died, he apparently didn't tell Rose nothing of her. That's a shit move tbf.
Anyways, sorry for just ranting, I thought it was interesting that Capcom would be making Vhris the villain, when he's already halfway twords being one.
My only hope is that he doesn't drag Rose in on this quest for vengeance or whatever it is lol.
Hello and welcome! Hope you enjoy your stay, I love talking when I have a shit ton of feels, and I'm so happy when people enjoy my ramblings :D
Again, I have only seen gameplays of re7 and re8 (and played the main of re8 myself a bunch of times) and absolutely nothing else of Resident Evil in general so I don't know that much about Chris as a character. I tried to make sense of his actions in re8, even wrote a post about it, but this dlc really isn't giving me much to help. I don't even have any explanation as to why he'd put Miranda in the same van with Ethan and Rose in the first place, I'm guessing it was a second van? And she just killed everyone there and just attacked the other van that Rose and Ethan were in? Idk and at this point I don't know if I want to care XD
And yeah if you ask me, Chris did the exact opposite of what Ethan asked him to do. I saw so many people being like Daddy Chris! and I was like I don't know shit about him but it doesn't look like he's fit to be a good parent? Not exactly out of his own fault, like he has seen and been through a lot of tough shit, while trying to help kill bioweapons and focused on the greater good, and I understand the whole feels thing of him having someone to take care of, but if we're being a little rational here, he shouldn't be the sole custodian of a child who can potentially cause mass deaths if she doesn't feel loved enough.
Ethan said with his dying breaths that he wanted Mia to keep Rose safe, he wanted her to be with her mother, and what we got was Chris going like "I can use her to grind Mirander evil guys into paste!" and never reassuring her emotionally. Ethan got a few moments with her and it was all it took for Rose to accept herself, powers or not.
Yeah idk I'm not being here like hating on Chris or whatever, I'm just very between "They're gonna make him a villain" and "Should I care about him and be invested in him?" because on one hand it would make sense with all the writing choices, on the other I don't know if they're bold enough to make such a beloved character a villain. I don't know. Maybe they'll just go that way in re9 and we'll just realize we were being stupid for worrying XD
Never worry about ranting! As I said, the DLC touched me so much and I have SO many things to say about it, so I'm really glad when people prompt me to talk about it!

Are there any songs you associate with Venali?
Hello ! :))) I’m just gonna give you the Playlist™️ break down. Fun fact! I have all of my playlists organized into folders and Venali is my only BG3 character to go directly into the BG3 folder rather than the OC one :3 it’s bc she’s canon 2 me
Songs and Reasons under the cut
• Don’t Let the Good Life Pass You Bye by Cass Elliot
Chosen bc since gaining magic, she hasn’t settled Once. This song is her reminder to slow down, appreciate the beauty of the present, don’t focus so hard on getting back to a life that can’t be returned to. It’s up to her to make her current path good.
• Dreams by The Cranberries
Sort of the same vein as the last song, except more along the lines of meeting and falling in love with Gale
• What’s Up? by 4 Non Blondes
bc tbh what the hell wven is happening
• The Cave by Mumford & Sons
Sorta follows Ven simultaneously running from and pursuing that which she considers to have ruined her. It’s a pep talk but also a reprimand to herself for putting herself in an u favorable position but knowing she’s strong enough to see it through.
And I’ll find strength in pain
And I will change my ways
I’ll know my name as it’s called again.
This bit ^ in particular bc she’s spending all of her time pretending to be somebody she isn’t (a wizard). Allowing herself to be authentic again is as much a motivator to see her task through as being rid of her magic entirely.
• Left Behind (Together) by Gustavo Santaolalla
idk how much you know about the last of us or the left behind dlc and ellie’s relationship with riley but this song. ….. …….. …. . good lird. put it on the playlist for venali and maude bc i think their relationship favors ellie and riley’s, especially how it ended.
i don’t think i’ve gone that deep into that aspect of ven’s backstory here but long, Long story short. Ven had 7 other friends, the 8 of them did adventures in childhood that turned into pursing for actual careers in adulthood. of all of them, maude was ven’s closest friend, co captain, favorite person in the world. they also had a sorta romantic, kinda almost dating thing going on. part of how ven got her powers is the entity demanded sacrifice, took control of 4 of them, made them kill the other 4. venali had to kill maude. thusly, song from left behind but specifically fun a really soft and happy moment to make me want to eat glass. also the title, being left behind together. maude because she lost her life, venali bc she lost a large part of herself.
• Euthanasia by Will Wood
honestly only here bc i’m mean. listen.
I was right there, while you fought tooth and nail
Gasping in the gas mask, thrashing ‘til you disappeared
mostly it’s the grief venali feels over the entire situation, but specifically being made to kill maude.
• We’ll Meet Again by Johnny Cash
i mean. following a theme here.
• My Silver Lining by First Aid Kit
it’s SUCH a venali song. i guess it could be a tav song in general but it encapsulates her specific journey so well.
I don’t wanna wait anymore
I’m tired of looking for answers
Take me someplace where there’s
Music and there’s laughter
I don’t know if I’m scared of dying
But I’m scared of living too fast, too slow
Regret, remorse, hold on
Oh no I gotta go
litchrally describing her search for information on what basically cursed her and her friends to have a connection to the weave they Don’t Want and Can’t Control. She’s struggling to live in the present but has to choice in the matter. She can’t dwell on the past bc it will consume her, she can’t worry about the future because it will demoralize her.
These shackles I made in an attempt to be free
Be it for reason, be it for love
I won’t take the easy road.
she’s bound herself to her current path. by running head first into the first idea she had, she’s had to full send that decision. and it isn’t easy maintaining a deception of the magnitude she is for so many years. she’s gonna see it through, though. plus the latter half of the song is pretty hopeful.
so i guess this song would be a more direct answer to your question but. venali hours, you understand.
• Don’t Forget About Me by CLOVES
and we return to “songs about Ven’s dead friends”
• Locked in a Cage by Brick + Mortar
(love these guys btw they’re great live) but basically another song about how ven feels trapped by the path she’s chosen
• Who Are You, Really? By Mikky Ekko
mostly just for the opening lyrics
So you feel entitled to a sense of control
Make decisions that you think are your own
You are a stranger here, why have you come?
Why have you come? Lift me higher, let me look at the sun.
• We Haven’t Turned Around by Gomez
i don’t remember adding this tbh. but i do like it. maybe something about that line “so you wanna make catastrophe”
• Cul De Sac by Duncan Fellows
another song speaking to how venali is unhappy with how her life has turned out thus far but also kinda allowing gale to show her that there’s some good further down the path she leads. also sort of a gale song. a big part of their dynamic is they teach each other to appreciate the parts of themselves they’d sooner forget so Y’know.
You’re just what I need
Oh, I just wanted you to see it for yourself, my dear
• Runaway by The National
bc i didn’t have enough sad song about ven being resolute but unhappy about it
• Silhouette by Aquilo
so many of these songs describe ven Before the events of bg3 but this one hits the nail on the head for the entirety of the campaign.
Devil’s on your shoulder
Raphael seeking her out for a deal
Strangers in your head
The tadpole, The Emperor, and everyone whose mind she’s connected to because of it.
As if you don’t remember
As if you can’t forget.
part of what makes ven’s backstory work for her is she has eidetic memory, and the only thing she has ever struggled to recall is what happened in the ruin where she lost her friends.
Let’s go out in flames
So everyone knows who we are
‘Cause these city walls never knew
That we’d make it this far
the odds were so insanely stacked against everyone by the end of the campaign that they Were willing to sacrifice themselves to stop it. at least venali was prepared for the reality that she might not walk away from this battle. also the line about the city walls calls back to ven’s simple childhood in baldur’s gate dreaming of some personal greatness.
and that’s what i have. i’ll probably add more after posting this :)

I've been to Rio once and it's such a fun place filled with lovely people and lovely vibes! Brazilians in general are just the best, they're so funny and so nice and kind idk. And I agree with your mum that the food is great. I do know the city is reportedly unsafe and has a lot of crime and stuff but tbh I didn't feel any of that when I went. I was only there for a few days though.
Sorry for the incoming essay (long car ride again) but urgh I really really feel for Brazilian Swifties 💔 all of us in Latam had collectively been wanting her to come on tour for SO long and many of us had been waiting 15+ to get the chance to see her live. Brazilian swifties deserved to have a lovely experience just like we did in Mexico and Argentina. The heat wave prolonging was extremely unfortunate but genuinely fuck t4f for always being so shitty to their clients. A Brazilian moot told me that after the LoverFest fiasco where they didn't get a refund for their tickets, they were all pretty scared that she wouldn't include Brazil in the Latam leg bc she clearly doesn't like to work with shitty/unreliable companies since she's so organized, so they were all so happy that she decided to come. She also told me that all fans who had bought LoverFest tickets got early access and cheaper prices for eras, like they had priority in line over everyone else which is only fair tbh and they were grateful for that. She also told me that this isn't the first time someone has died in at an event held by t4f, the company has historically been very irresponsible and negligent. Apparently they have been sued in the past too but they always win their cases cos they have good lawyers and connections, which really really sucks for Ana's family bc lawyers and going to court in general is very fucking expensive and they genuinely have a right to sue the fuck out of t4f and the venue. Who knows if they have the financial means to do so but I really hope they do.
Taylor and her team imo are in no way responsible for Ana's death but the way they're handling the situation isn't right either. I do think it's true that her mentioning Ana directly and/or publicly giving money to the family could be used in court as evidence of her admitting to guilt or as an attempt to bribe the family to get them to speak in her favor in court. Or well, at least my auntie who is a family lawyer and has close friends who are criminal defense lawyers thinks so (I asked her yesterday lol). I really do hope she has reached out to them privately and contributed anonymously to the fundraiser to help the family get her body back home. We may never know what happened privately though. I also agree that it isn't a good idea for her to post on main about it (bc again could be taken as admission of guilt) but Tree should 10000% put out a presser saying something like "Taylor loves her Brazilian fans and cares very deeply for them. She extends her biggest condolences to Ana Clara Benevides Machado's family and friends, and strongly laments that something so unfortunate happened during a show that is about bringing joy and happiness to everyone. She cares very very much for her fans and her goal is always for everyone to have a wonderful time. It's extremely unfortunate that conditions that were completely out of her control led to such a tragedy happening." and then something like "Taylor did not know about the incident until after the show culminated. She was absolutely devastated and upset but knew she had to do her best to give the attendees of the remaining two concerts, who had been waiting for this for so long and spent a lot of money, the best show she could. She is still very anguished by Ana's death and asks that the media and fans be discreet about attention to her own personal life out of respect to Ana and her family, who deserve to mourn accordingly and receive all the support from this community during this difficult time."
Taylor will probs be sued too. Not by Ana's family but by n2 attendees who waiting in line for 5 plus hours in the heat only for the concert to be rescheduled.
N2 attendees are def gonna sue lol.

003: You did Subaru, what about Sakurano😊
(And what about Hotaru? Did you do her yet?)
yes i can do sakurano, absolutely!
003
How I feel about this character: sadly, sakurano isnt very important, but i think hes cool! hes very mysterious. i kinda feel like we missed out with him though.
Any/all the people I ship romantically with this character: subaru. idk if sakurano interacts with many other ppl his age to begin with. he has slim pickings lol
My favorite non-romantic relationship for this character: oooh his and subaru's bond with yuka is so cute. i forgot to mention that for subaru as well. they are so cute as kids <3
My unpopular opinion about this character: uhhh i guess ill just say that when he was first introduced i thought he'd be more important lol. i kinda wish he had been :( sad.
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: just in general i wish hed had more to do towards the end. i really did think the student council would be some mysterious, powerful organization, but we dont rly see very much of them at all. its kinda disappointing.
Favorite friendship for this character: he only ever hangs out with subaru so again i will put the student council trio!
and yes i can do hotaru as well!!!
003
How I feel about this character: idk how to talk abt her really but ill try my best. i do have my fair share of problems with some of her actions, but shes a kid so i forgive her (i always forgive kids. its just how i am). i like watching her become more emotionally open with mikan and her brother. ive been harsher with her before (ive NEVER hated or even disliked her, to be clear! in fact i love her) but my opinions on characters change depending on my mood. i learn smth new w every reread and this time i made sure to examine her closely and im more satisfied with her character development than i was before. i want to be a big hotaru fan! i just dont connect with her as much i guess.
Any/all the people I ship romantically with this character: rly i only actively ship her with ruka.
My favorite non-romantic relationship for this character: subaru ;-; they are the whole world to me. theirs is definitely my favorite of hotaru's relationships.
My unpopular opinion about this character: these days ig its kinda unpopular to ship her with ruka? i dont rly care; i think they suit each other very well.
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: i wish her ending had been different (obviously). it rly feels pointless ig... the whole thing feels rly pointless. yes it makes me cry, mainly for the sibling stuff, but its still not smth im fond of. i dont know what id have done differently but smth for sure.
Favorite friendship for this character: i sometimes feel like im too hard on the hotaru/mikan friendship but the truth is i DO like them, theres just something missing that leaves me unsatisfied. do not ask me what it is, i couldnt tell u. maybe its bc i dont connect with hotaru as much. i think my fav scene of theirs is during the escape arc when mikan tells her she has the telepathy alice and thinks she can hear her mom, and hotaru assures her that she can and that she'll see her soon. that scene is fully perfect. i do like them a lot. i also like her friendship with iinchou. her determination to help him during the z arc (to the point where she makes unreasonable decisions, which i always love for her) is so touching and moves me to tears. she loves idiots <3
