When I walk home I listen to Mac demarco and think of you

I hate to admit this

I spit it through my teeth

And stare at the ground, anywhere

But your face.

I know you'd smile

probably fuck with my hair again

And Drive me home

I think of you and two things come to mine

safety

And guilt,

you took off my shoes and held my hand

Carried my bundle of limbs to the couch

Never asked if you could have anything in return

And guilt

Because I never gave anything to you

Im walking home with a pocket full of stolen olives

And in my head, my tired little brain,

I flip a coin

To decide if I should leave so

That I wont hurt you like I have

everyone I've ever loved

but my fingers are crossed behind my back

And I bit my lip stubborn

like a child who doesnt want to share

And I dont.

I drank myself home on new years eve

I cried in that uber

And I smoked my brain out of my ears

when my shoes crossed my door frame

cause she laughed at your jokes

And you smiled at her

that smile that makes me feel warm

I never knew could feel so cold.
