Not sure that many people remember that ‘Sin’ began as a warehouse party put on by Nicky Holloway and cohorts Tommy Mac and John. The venue was in docklands, where back in ‘88 the scenery was so deserted and dystopian they used to shoot films about the Vietnam war in the area. The local constabulary decided to raid it before it even started. Such was the ‘scene’ at the time that we bundled into a car and crossed town to a film studio in Wembley for an even bigger rave and ‘experience’. Finalising Layout
I wasn’t happy with my other layouts that I was experimenting with, so I decided to take a new approach - I started to blend my images together. This is so as a viewer you are truly immersive into the experience due to no white borders distracting the viewers eye. With this approach you fully dive into the narrative story and it creates the feeling of you being put exactly into the rave. I have finally finalise the layout and I am so happy with it. The reason why I decided to take away the text is because it was too distracting and I want the viewer to have there own interpretation on these characters.

The Laws against Raves
Section 63 of the 1994 Criminal Justice Act gives police officers the power to remove people from events at which music “wholly or predominantly characterised by the emission of a succession of repetitive beats” is being played. The phrase was a draconian attempt to define and derail the illegal raves that first appeared in 1988 in post-industrial parts of London and Manchester.
