yeah i was gonna say like. isnt that literally the OPPOSITE of how frost works. like i could be wrong but iirc a lot of freezers are specifically designed to thaw and freeze over and over to DEFROST the stuff inside and if your freezer DOESNT do that then you get frost like that right

YEAH LIKE im not a fuckin sciencetist or expert in refrigeration by any means but through 3 years on night shift IN FROZEN i know damn well that person is talking out their ass

we had some shitty old freezers that cost more to repair every time they went down than they would have to outright replace, and we had problem doors that would stay frosty like that, & 100% of the time it was because the door had a bad seal or the hinge was busted, and customers can't be relied on to fully close doors before they walk away. shit we even had one door that EVERY NIGHT on defrost, the freezer would shut off on schedule, and the pressure inside the box would shift & pop the door wide open, and it would stay open all night until one of us noticed it. the waffles in that door were always frosty until that door got fixed, but never thawed

& yea you're right! freezers will build up a little bit of frost over time if they're on like 24/7 bc air has a little bit of moisture in it, naturally, so we had them set like, every day at say 3am, to shut off & defrost, and they'd be down for a FULL HOUR & reach like 40-50°F if i recall. BUT. say there's an ABNORMAL amount of moisture coming in through, an open door or a bad seal, it will form a bullshit amount of FROST all over the place & it sucks to work with and it makes your hands and gloves all soggy and cold, but the food inside -- get this, just like the frost? -- is Still Fucking Frozen

now if the pizza boxes are soggy and limp? probably thawed a little at some point.

good things that have happened to me recently:

1. college pal came to visit me & we had a lovely weekend & cooked & hiked a little & saw the new captain marvel movie & hung out in my tiny kinda cold town!! my god i missed being around anyone i have known for more than two (2) months! friends are the best!!!

2. was very tired and frustrated today @ work due to driving friend to the airport at 4am and also having a whole bunch of little extra things i had to get done BUT right before i was about to leave my trainer told me i am doing a good job at my job !! 

#she is usually very quiet and often seems annoyed when we ask her stuff or get things wrong so it was especially nice to hear #my job is v repetitive but also each step is important to get right so its hard to know if im doing well #but she said ive learned very quickly and my data looks really good!! #guys........ im sciencetist
