Levi is so clingy in the morning-

As soon as you move to get up, or your alarm goes off and you mumble “….time to get up.” Levi’s arms wrap around you tighter and he lets out a huffy little sigh…not actually saying anything, just trying to keep you in bed. You’re so warm and the blankets are so comfy…..he know it's time for you to get up, both of you actually.

But he doesn’t want to lose you, not yet. he knows the second you get out of bed he has to share you for the rest of the day, fighting for your attention.

And it’s just not fair!! He’ll miss your warmth and he always craves your attention, your scent, your touch- just you. Even if he knows he’ll see you later it’s not the same. so every morning he tries to keep you in bed just a little longer…..just keep your attention on him for a few more minutes.

and you know he’ll do it every morning so you just sigh and kiss his forehead, “Come on, guppy….I have to go….”

"No…..not yet….just…just five more minutes… please…”

….well- five more minutes can’t hurt, can it?

It’s just hard.

Objectively, there’s nothing to really be upset or down about — I opened myself up to that comment by asking a question and the anon simply replied. I can’t be mad at that, and I’m not.

But when you’ve had a really rough, tiring week at work to the point you’ve had migraines that made you ill, and the only thing that’s gotten you through it was the thought that you would *finally* be able to do something you were excited about, only for someone to say it’s nothing they particularly care about — yeah, it stings. I don’t even want to look at my notes app right now.

I’ve seen your comments/messages and I’m so grateful (even though I’m definitely whining rn pls forgive me) — and I will respond when I have the energy to do so. But I can’t lie and say that anon didn’t kind of suck all the excitement and motivation out of me. And it sucks in particular because I just got some of my writing mojo back, but it feels like it’s disappeared again. I can’t even bring myself to read what I’ve already written.

BUT to the anon that originally asked about the ratio — I saw your message, and you’re totally fine!! I promise I wasn’t upset at you!

I know Netherwood was supposed to be done in October and it’s now December. I’m sorry it’s taken a while, but I just can’t really look at it right now.

I think a lot of people don’t recognize how intentional the parallels between Ranma and Akane are and how that factors into their relationship.

Akane is a tomboy (but I’d probably say more futch because she’s shown wearing feminine clothing often, but it’s up to interpretation how much of that is performative or personal.) As a child, she was often mistaken for a boy and this really didn’t seem to bother her until people (her family, bless them) seemed to react to it badly. Learning she was “wrong.” Akane is stubborn, headstrong, has a temper, and also speaks her mind. While she can be a kind and gentle person, Akane is often shown with masculine traits. Fighting, clumsy, aggressive, etc. (and I love her for that.)

On the other hand, Ranma is great when it comes to performing femininity. He cares about his appearance, cleaning, is good at cooking, and most “feminine” aspects that Akane fails at he succeeds in naturally.

I think this plays in part to their relationship because Akane likes Ranma whether he’s being feminine (actually a female or performing feminine traits) or not. She is often shown comforting Ranma whenever he’s being “too soft” or “doing something wrong.”

And Ranma likes Akane whether she’s performing femininity or not. He teases her for it because he thinks that’s what a guy is supposed to do, but he likes that she’s strong. He likes that she speaks her mind and is smart. He thinks it’s hot that she can totally destroy concrete with her thighs.

It’s often said as a joke, but Ranma and Akane are a “matching set.” I just wish this aspect of their relationship was explored more in fandom. Especially for Akane, because they both have a lot of internalized sexism and homophobia to work through with their partners. Also, I love masculine Akane with girl Ranma, (it’s hot, I love to see the girls winning) but I think it’s really important to show masculine Akane with male Ranma, too. It’s equally hot for him!

Anyway Wild West spiderbit au in which Cellbit is a former criminal hiding out in the US’ recently-acquired New Mexico Territory after leaving the Empire of Brazil (or O Império do Brasil if I’ve got my articles right) with his buddies through some less than legal means.

He and his gang all settle down in the small frontier town of Perfection, run by the twin sheriffs known only as Los Ositos. They run Perfection with iron fists and well-used six-shooters in the hopes of helping the territory eventually achieve state status.

But, well, it isn’t so bad. The town might suck, but there’s a pretty boy living on a ranch a ways away from town- a former mesteñero named Roier who eventually settled down in Perfection to raise his son in a more stable environment.

But there’s some bandits in the hills- a masked man the locals are calling a demon who only seems to steal furniture, a man whose skin is said to be made of solid California gold. A half-man, half-spider with the fastest draw in the West. A woman with bird wings and a scream like an eagle’s.

Los Ositos want to catch the bandits, but, well, Cellbit might just beat them to it. He might not be as good with a gun as he used to be, but his brain sure still works better than any damn sheriff’s. And with Roier helping him, how can he fail?
