I just saw another ask calling Gemini au Donnie afab, and obviously he does have XX chromosomes in your au (or the turtle/mutant equivalent at least?), but if afab means assigned female at birth and Donnie and Leo were assigned male at birth by Big Mama.... Does that technically make the two of them amab trans men???
Or.... amak? assigned male at kidnapping?
LMAO yeah. I always grapple with the terms because I'm like. WELL... THEY TECHNICALLY... WEREN'T ASSIGNED FEMALE AT BIRTH LMAO,,,, they're both, technically speaking, amab, so yes, they are in fact both amab trans men lmao.
And they weren't TECHNICALLY kidnapped... so... amaa? assigned male at... adoption??? u w u

Transphobes get off my blog, transandrophobes especially. In fact go hate queers with the evangelical white moms who have coincidentally the same talking points as you about trans men.

i'm chronically nosy i had to go find what u were talking about on twitter and man it's wild how comfortable people are with the transvestigating thing because they think it's funny. why are they validating the real transphobe even jokingly....
i don't fucking knowwwwww. i got fucking blasted on twitter for being like. have none of you actually experienced irl bigotry because i have and it's not something i would actively choose to emulate????? in any context????
like this is what was happening back in october. yeah, very cool, very funny to quote tweet a guy calling glenn a fag for tweeting in support of california legalizing gay marriage and say he was "ahead of his time". for. using a slur. everyone is so fucking irony brainrotted it hurts.

Feeling weird about being blocked for saying that the whole thing about trans men having male privilege and perpetuating misogyny within the trans community is a discourse that feels very American centric to me because in my country we aren't really given that treatment within the community, and outside of the community you only get it if you are extremely cis passing and the moment cis people find you out you lose it right away
I mean I'm also not the best reference cause I'm non-binary and we're still treated as cis girls trying to feel special or trans women who haven't accepted themselves by the binary trans community in my country
Like we only just got legal recognition and a lot of trans collectives were extremely against it

Everyone turning Yamato into a masculine trans guy with pecks and a masculine scruffy face.... Go off or whatever....... But so many trans guy are soft and curvy with big tits and no facial hair.... But..... continuing to do this is saying "trans men have to fit into the male/female binary but on the male presenting side or they're not valid trans men" or "all trans men want to physically transition or else they're not valid trans men".... Go off. Do whatever you want and make whatever impact on the world that you want to..... But I think Yamato represents a type of trans man that very much exists and very much gets ignored and invalidated and undermined in real life, and it's nice to have him as representation. As he is.

okay so i was just watching an episode of tawog and had a thought. considering that penny's canon human design is black-coded (95% most likely black though!) and thought about that "The Shell" episode.
now, my memories of that episode - and the show in general - are a little blurry since i haven't watched a full episode of tawog since fucking forever. though i somewhat remember "The Shell" - even as someone that was young, i appreciated the episode. it was kinda deep to me - nothing that serious, but serious enough to appreciate this episode existing. and i just couldn't help but to look up the episode (on the wiki, though) again.
but i just can't get enough of how that episode hits differently, when knowing Penny's human version is black. the existence of her shell could easily connect to the way some black people force themselves to hide - they try to stay away from being seen as "the other black ppl" to just live normally, they may not embrace their culture (and/or facial traits associated with their race) in general from internalized racism. they repress their emotions, especially negative ones, to not be reduced into something hollow.
when her shell cracks, her insecurities slip in - she thinks that gumball's thinking that she's ugly. and the fact that her father gets on her ass about her being a "monster"? she's been conditioned to adapt into a society that won't accept her if she embrace her culture - a society that will see you as nothing more but an entertainer, aggressor or terrible being. a society who rewards you if you look or act similar to the default. her father has conditioned her this way so she couldn't get hurt - he's afraid of the risks that she'll get for not adapting into a certain look or attitude... he associate his true culture with the bad and wild representation of that culture.
// note: the fact that she's transforms into random ass creatures while expressing her emotions??? this is something i looked a little "too" deep into i admit, but the fact that her transforming into a creature could represent the way people reduce black people into a single trait when they express their emotions (especially negative ones), while in the process - those same people view less of black people as well, people?? this note just ties into the rest of my post.
andddd that's fucking it. i appreciated its existence back then and still fucking do. such a memorable episode honestly. i somewhat related to this back then, but now this episode just gave me a slice of literal relatability. mainly about her repressing her emotions

🫤 Mh. Not sure what to think of the fact I know my therapist has read all the notes my psyciatrist made about me, including the fact I’m trans and what my pronouns are(we’ve even discussed it) and then today she misgendered me to my face. Huh.
I had to play it back to actually convince myself I wasn’t mishearing and then I spent a bit trying to convince myself maybe she just didn’t know until I remembered we’ve LITERALLY TALKED ABOUT MY GENDER AND PRONOUNS. I know this is one of those situations where I’m going to have to walk her through the fact my pronouns are not optional little extras she can pick or choose whether to use but sjasflesahse I guess I was just hoping I wouldn’t HAVE to do that. But nope. I guess not. 😮‍💨

why is the fact that transandrophobia can and does exist still a controversial topic? transphobia, transmisogyny, transmysoginoir, sexism, racism, they're all linked together. some of u still need to recognize that the patriarchy and things like colonization, istitutional racism and cultural hegemony they all contribute to a system that finds everything "out of the ordinary" extremely dangerous, offensive, or pityful. while transfems may be considered dangerous, which puts them in danger btw, transmascs may be considered incapable of making their own decisions (leading to a deep lack of medical care, harassment etc), BECAUSE everyone still thinks of us - all trans people - as our assigned gender, BECAUSE of these societal rules that oppress everyone, AND with that comes specific sets of discriminatory acts towards the specific groups it targets. black people, people of color, transfems and trans women, they all suffer the most. they've been on the front lines since forever and they're considered expendable. that doesnt exclude other groups from facing different kinds of oppression. even if they're not worse as a whole, they're still oppressions and they coexist. if people dont want to believe im a man and try to convince me im quote unquote a stupid little girl, there's layers and layers of where that comes from: they dont think im trans, being transphobic and violating my bodily autonomy <- they think I'm a woman <- they think (even if it's subconscious) that women aren't capable of deciding for themselves. ive also heard so many times "eww men are so gross" and "they suck" and everyone hates men (its not true and that's abundantly clear by the privilege men, white men in particular, hold) but the fact still stands: i want to be a good man, and i never fucking know where to look because so many are shit and im so tired. despite it all im aware its a phenomenon that goes with the societal structures we still hold, and the blame to the individual can and should coexist with that underlying notion.
