#PHnews: Over P8-M worth of suspected shabu recovered in Iloilo
ILOILO CITY – A series of anti-illegal drug operations in Iloilo province has netted over PHP8 million worth of drugs.
The biggest haul was an estimated PHP8 million worth of suspected shabu recovered from the subject of a buy-bust operation at Barangay San Antonio, Oton town around 2 a.m. on Tuesday.
A report from the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) identified the subject as 30-year old Mary Joy C. Villarina of Block 5, Lot 9, Deca Homes Subdivision, Barangay Pandac in Pavia.
Before the recovery of the more or less 450 to 500 grams of suspected shabu inside five transparent plastic bags, the subject handed to the poseur buyer one plastic sachet of shabu in exchange for PHP9,000.
Operatives of composite teams of the Oton Municipal Police Station (MPS), Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU), and the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU) team 1 also recovered from the suspect PHP11,650 cash including the buy-bust money and other evidence.
IPPO director Col. Gilbert Gorero, in a phone interview, expressed the belief that Villarina's sources of drugs are from Negros.
The successful operation was a follow-up of the first buy-bust on the same day that led to the arrest of drug watchlist personalities identified as Jimbee Polo, 38, and Efren T. Salinas, 55. They were arrested around 1 a.m. in Barangay Trapiche of the same town after handing to a poseur-buyer two plastic sachets of shabu in exchange for PHP2,000.
The operatives recovered from the suspects 15 plastic sachets containing suspected shabu with an estimated weight of 2.5 grams and a street value of PHP15,000.
Cash of PHP6,220, including buy-bust money and other pieces of evidence, were also recovered from the suspects.
“We have recoveries in the first operation and they cooperated. We used them for the second transaction that resulted in our recovery of bigger volume of drugs,” Gorero said.
The police official said that the two could be Villarina’s resellers.
All suspects are currently detained at the Oton Municipal Police Station for the filing of appropriate charges.
On the other hand, a minor was arrested the night of January 4 after a buy-bust operation that was conducted in Barangay Abaca, San Enrique, Iloilo.
The 17-year-old suspect sold to the poseur buyer a plastic sachet of suspected shabu in exchange for PHP25,000.
The operatives from San Enrique Municipal Police Station, RPDEU 6 team 3, and PDEU team 2 further recovered two pieces of plastic wrappers and two plastic sachets containing suspected shabu and other paraphernalia.
The confiscated drug weighs more or less 70 grams valued at PHP455,000.
The suspect was brought to the San Enrique Municipal Police Station for appropriate action. (PNA)

Hey all, gonna try to make this post without looking too needy :(
Long story short my agere side is kinda lonely. I’m just trying to see if I have any sibs (big or same as me) or Caregivers in my area or beyond. Strictly platonic; and for playdates, fun, and friendship!
You don’t have to message or share publicly if you don’t want. I’m just looking for a way to connect with others and make more friends, as I don’t have many I can meet in person.
I have lots of interests and we don’t have to get together right away! In fact, I’d be comfortable if we talked a bit first!
I live in the Cincinnati, OH area but can travel quite a bit to cities a few hours away if need be.
If anyone in the agere community could please (whether your local to me or not) share I am quite lonely and while I love being little alone; I would really love to have someone to hang with occasionally and talk to!
