Marco Sangwook: The Yandere COO who may or may not be a golden retriever in a suit. Also he likes bugs, so he's a weird nerd as well.
Hyun Sangwook: Typical Manwha Yandere CEO with daddy and mommy issues. That's it. Boo him for being so boring lol.
April Sunset: Just your regular bisexual disaster. He hasn't felt the touch of another man or women in years. Seriously, give him a hug- he needs it. But then again he reads fanfiction, watches K-dramas, and listens to vocaloid- so maybe it's deserved. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Paige Nieman:
Your typical dead lover's trope. Also, she's a singer/streamer. May or may not be on thin fucking ice thanks to Hyun and his expertise at framing her for murder. Also, Hyun might murder her as an extra bonus point.
Matheias Garcia:
Marco's first and last best friend. Was the first one to witness Marco's true colors and bullshit before Marco decided to pull a pro gamer move.
Angela Ginto:
fucking died by brown sugar butter. Thanks for giving her a honorable death Marco. 😐
First Generation:
Edward Ridley:
April's homophobic closested alcoholic bisexual dad. Thanks to Mr. Sangwook, he's also traumatized for life! May or may not be banned from Disneyland.
Garida Sunset:
April's single mom. May or may not have committed tax fraud in the past
Raven Nguyen:
Garida's emotional support bird. Also, she's rich - ig that's cool, idk lmao. Her favorite shirt to wear is the "I ❤️ Hot single mom's." she bought when going to a convention.
Ethan/Mr. Sangwook:
Hyun and Marco's biological/ father of the fucking year award.
Mrs. Sangwook/Aria:

Brandon De Wilde, Jean Arthur, Van Heflin, and Alan Ladd in Shane (George Stevens, 1953)
Cast: Alan Ladd, Jean Arthur, Van Heflin, Brandon De Wilde, Jack Palance, Ben Johnson, Edgar Buchanan, Emile Meyer, Elisha Cook Jr. Screenplay: A.B. Guthrie Jr., based on a novel by Jack Schafer. Cinematography: Loyal Griggs. Art direction: Hal Pereira, Walter H. Tyler. Film editing: William Hornbeck, Tom McAdoo. Music: Victor Young.
The sexual tension between Shane (Alan Ladd) and Marian Starrett (Jean Arthur) is key to the texture and motivation of George Stevens's Shane. It's obvious from the moment when she watches him, shirtless and glistening with sweat, help her rather dull (and fully clad) husband, Joe (Van Helflin), uproot a tree stump, and it plays like a low bass note throughout the film, until it becomes the main reason why Shane feels he has to move on at the end. After all, he has just humiliated Joe by knocking him unconscious and taking on the role Joe assumes is his rightful one, thereby reducing him in the eyes of his wife and son, Joey (Brandon De Wilde). It also doesn't escape the notice of the bad guys, one of whom taunts Shane with the fact that Joe has a pretty wife. (The filters used on some of Arthur's closeups are a giveaway: She was 50 when she made Shane, her last film, but she's plausible as a character 10 or 15 years younger.) It's to Stevens's credit that he plays all of this as low-key as he does. It would have been much too easy to move the eternal triangle to the center of the film's structure. Shane is an intelligent film, though to my mind it gets a little heavy-handed with the introduction of the black-hatted Wilson (Jack Palance) as the potential nemesis to the knight errant Shane. As fine as Palance's performance is, I wish his character had been given a more complex backstory than just "hired gun out of Cheyenne." Otherwise, the screenplay by A.B. Guthrie Jr. does a fair job of not making its villains too deep-dyed: The chief tormenter of the sodbusters, the cattleman Rufus Ryker (Emile Meyer), is given a speech justifying himself as having gotten there first and settled the land -- we haven't yet reached the point in historical consciousness where the claims of the Native Americans are taken seriously. And Shane's first opponent, Chris Calloway (Ben Johnson), eventually has a change of heart -- not an entirely convincing one to my mind, considering Calloway's behavior in his first encounter with Shane -- and warns Shane that Joe's appointment with Ryker is a trap. Stevens uses Jackson Hole, Wyoming, almost as effectively as John Ford used Monument Valley, and Loyal Griggs won a well-deserved Oscar for his cinematography, even if Paramount's decision to trim the original images at top and bottom to make the film appear to have been shot in a widescreen process resulted in some oddly cropped compositions. Shane is undeniably a classic, but I think it takes itself a little too seriously: The great Western directors, like Ford and Howard Hawks, knew the value of a little comic relief, but in Shane even Edgar Buchanan plays it straight.

UFC 287: Adesanya VS Pereira 2 Preview
Tumblr media
I am getting really tired of these “hole in my stomach” feelings heading into these UFC fights and I can only hope that Kamaru Usman was the worst of it.
Israel Adesanya is my final hope.
At one time 3 African fighters held championships in the UFC, and now none do.  Adesanya’s UFC 287 rematch represents the last hope to restore some glory to the continent, and it couldn’t be against a worse opponent.
youtube
For all intents and purposes, Alex Pereira is a beast. Every time I see him, he reminds me of Tong-Po, from the Jan Claude Van Damme movies because he is an absolute villain and a beast of a fighter.
However, the fact that he’s a beast, is exactly the problem.
Several people within MMA, as well as anyone with eyes in their head, knows that Alex Pereira is not a natural middleweight.
The reality is that, for the 3rd time Adesanya is being matched up with a guy that’s the size of a light heavyweight, and that’s what the UFC has resorted to in order to find some way to displace arguably the greatest middleweight of all time.
youtube
What this brings in to question, is how much should a fighter be allowed to cut weight.
As good a Pereira looks, I have him placed alongside Khamzat Chimaev in the category of weight bully fighters, who really should be competting in heavier weight divisions but are able to cut weight to be considered middleweight and welterweight respectively.
I have no interest in watching weight bully nonsense.
Take for instance, the boy, Jon Jones, I have mixed feelings about Jon Jones personally, but he did move up in weight to compete at heavy.
The issue with expecting everyone to do that, is that, gianing weight or moving up, takes longer than losing weight or cutting weight. It’s an issue others have pondered and Chael Sonnen has gone as far as to call it sanctioned cheating, when a fighter is cutting too much weight and essentially giving themselves an edge provided they can maintain a certain level of strength and conditioning.
Tumblr media
And to add another layer, there is the actual history between Adesanya and Pereira, a history that spans almost 10 years in 2 different combat disciplines.
The stat that obviously haunts the Adesanya fans, like myself, going in to this one is the fact that Adesanya is 0-3 against Pereira throughout thier pro careers in Kickboxing and MMA.
That’s the issue here.  Alex Pereira takes away, or at the very least evens out the advantage Izzy usually has in in the stand-up game.
Jorge Masvidal was on the Joe Rogan podcast, and he noted Pereira’s size and how that serves to also negates the takedown option as far as Izzy is concerned. In the same interview, Jorge Masvidal also talks about the difference in speed and power when you are moving up in weight.
Personally, I have a bunch of issues with this.
Alex Pereira has a 7-1 record in MMA, and I honestly think his road to a championship opportunity was shortnened by the fact that Izzy was the champ in his division and he beat him in Kickboxing.
Pereira has not beaten any of the other top middleweights in the division and while I think that has more to do with match making and the UFC maintaining fan interest by ensuring new fights in the event of a Pereira victory, it’s a shortcut for sure.
The stats from thier first encounter at UFC 281 paint a slightly more rosy picture, and show Izzy winning the 2nd, 3rd round and 4th rounds after and even first round, before Pereira pulls off one of the great 5th round come backs in UFC history.
Adesanya, during his press conference on Wednesday, showed full awareness of how he needed to keep the pressure in in every round, and also fully aware that this is probably his last title shot for a long time.

CLERK (2021)
Featuring Kevin Smith, Jason Mewes, Brian O’Halloran, Joey Lauren Adams, Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Stan Lee, Mark Hamill, Justin Long, Penn Jillette, Richard Linklater, Judd Nelson, Jason Reitman, Michael Rooker, Scott Mosier, Grace Smith, Donald Smith, Jennifer Schwalbach Smith, Harley Quinn Smith, Walt Flanagan, Bryan Johnson, Vincent Pereira, John Pierson, Janet Pierson, Trevor Groth, Betty Aberlin, Brian Quinn, Joe Quesada, Mark Bernardin, Raquel Castro and Lily-Rose Depp.
Directed by Malcolm Ingram.
Distributed by Mercantile Instinct. 115 minutes. Not Rated.
“When we made Clerks, I didn't even dream about going to a film festival,” Kevin Smith told me a couple of years ago on the red carpet at the Philadelphia Film Festival screening of the documentary on his life called Clerk. “We were dreaming about going to the independent feature film marketplace. I didn't think the film was festival-worthy, let alone Sundance. While we were making that film I never once thought, ‘Oh my God, what if somebody makes a documentary about me one day?’ That’s mind bending.”
Yes, Kevin Smith has had a long, strange trip in the last thirty or so years. This film, directed by former film journalist turned documentarian and Smith’s long-time friend Malcolm Ingram, gives a pretty good overview of the life of the head of the View Askewniverse.
As noted above, this film has been making the rounds of film festivals for a couple of years (which explains why Clerk ends on Jay and Silent Bob Reboot, not Smith’s more current film Clerks 3), but now it is being released on video. (For hard copy fans, VHS and Blu-Ray copies of Clerk will only be available for purchase via Mercantile Instinct's website – www.mercantileinstinct.com.)
Clerk takes a good look at Smith’s life – an aspect which fraught right off the top because his professional career is so wide-ranging, in subjects, in different mediums and even in quality. (After all, this is the guy who wrote and directed Yoga Hosers and Tusk.)
The most interesting part of the film, somewhat naturally, looks at Smith’s early filmmaking career, and how he was learning as he went on making such classics as Clerks and Chasing Amy (as well as some more problematic films like Mallrats and Dogma).
Looking at his halting steps towards film stardom – as shared by Smith and members of his regular troupe like Brian O’Halloran and Jason Mewes (surprisingly there is no appearance by Jeff Anderson) as well as some of the then-unknown actors Smith helped to break (including Ben Affleck, Matt Damon and Joey Lauren Adams) – makes for some intriguing looks behind the scenes.
However, while his career as a writer/director (and sometime actor) pretty much peaked in those early years, he has worked in an interesting if sometimes disappointing group of films ever since. (He briefly retired from filmmaking after a traumatizing experience working with Bruce Willis in Cop Out.)
However, in the mid-late period of his career, Smith has branched out and reinvented himself as the ultimate fan boy creator, taking on such diverse interests as comic books (creating and selling), opening and running stores (including reopening the original Clerks store), social media, podcasting and finding what seems to be his true calling as a public speaker, doing long lectures and Q&As on his passions and his career.
Of course, one of the great dramas of his life happened after one of those appearances, when Smith had a major heart attack and came close to ending. It has led to many changes in Smith’s lifestyle – a great loss of weight, a new seriousness of purpose and a decision to throw himself more fully back into filmmaking. (In Clerk, Smith acknowledges that he did not want to die and have Yoga Hosers be his last film.)
Still, in the long run, Smith is happy with the path his life has taken.
“I'm sure if I go back in time and tell the young me like, ‘Hey, keep this up. They're going to make a documentary about you,’ he’d be like, ‘What did we do? Who did we kill? Why did that happen?’” Smith laughed to me when I spoke with him at that red carpet interview. “Just you live long enough and fucking they make a documentary about you. But yeah, there's a lot of things I would love to tell that kid. I wouldn't change a fucking thing, because all of his choices led to this moment for me, which absolutely rocks.”
Clerk shows many of the moments which absolutely rocked him.
