Grouping these all together because a whole bunch of things happened today and there is a lot to talk about. For those who haven't seen, Georgia posted an Insta story of the sunset, which was followed by an extremely similar picture/Insta story from AL about an hour later. Shortly after that, Anna posted another story of Lyra and Birdie baking side by side, which Georgia also reshared:

Right off the bat, one thing in particular stood out about AL's story: Her using the hashtag #bakingwithsheenant, which differs from the tags she and Georgia normally use (#Sheenbergnants or something to that effect). It especially caught my attention because "Sheenant" is one of the ship names used in the fandom for Michael/David (though it is not a term I normally use). AL could have easily been referring to Lyra and Birdie in the photo, of course, but...of all the portmanteaus and hashtags AL could have chosen, she went with that one, and all I can say is that if it was nothing more than a fluke, then it was one hell of a fluke for her to make.

As if all this weren't enough, however, we then have what @phantomstars24 has mentioned, which is another story that Georgia shared just a little while ago:

To what was said in the Asks above, if this is true, it would absolutely mean that Michael and David are also neighbors, and that my head feels like it's slightly melting. Because there is no way in hell Michael bought a house in London next to David by accident. A meteorite has a better chance of hitting the Earth and bringing back the dinosaurs as our reptilian overlords than that does of being an accident.

Also if Michael and David are together as part of some poly arrangement, I can't think of a better way for them to ensure that they can see each other all the time. The number of possibilities are limitless: Random sleepovers, snuggling on the couch for movie date night, unwinding with a glass of red wine after they've had a long day doing their respective plays. Thinking as well of how we saw Michael and David looking at each other at opening night of Macbeth, now the chances of them going home together afterward have shot up by about a million, and I can hardly get my mind around it. I mean...dear God...

As for Georgia's "So linked!" sounding sarcastic, I could definitely see that as sarcasm. The sunset pictures from earlier seemed very planned, and even more so once we saw the baking picture. I saw some reactions from fans calling AL and Georgia "besties" once the Insta stories were posted, but I'm not exactly sure how those posts make them besties. The way Georgia posts about Anna is entirely different from how she posts about Jennie Fava, whom we know actually is one of Georgia's longtime best friends, so that difference makes it difficult for me to see why people see Georgia/AL in that light.

And if they are frequently getting together because of that proximity/because it is easier for Michael and David to have one house to themselves while AL, Georgia, and the kids are in another, I could see some degree of resentment existing on Georgia's end, especially if she feels like more of a babysitter than anything else. It's difficult to say for certain, of course, but we also have so many instances now of Anna copying Georgia on social media that I would imagine it has started to feel like a bit of a "me and my shadow" routine.

In any case, we have a lot of little pieces here that only give us a small glimpse at the whole, but boy, are they some very interesting pieces indeed. I think what strikes me most about all of this is that these stories also allude to Michael and David spending time together, yet we never actually see any pictures of them. (I have an Ask related to this waiting in my inbox, so I will expand more on that in a bit.) But we are being given room to think that, and to draw certain conclusions as a result, and I think both Georgia and AL know that and seemingly do not have a problem with it.

So yes, those are my thoughts on all the developments from today. Glad as always to hear from my followers and what your thoughts are on all this...

i feel like a lot of my descriptiveness is lacking? like it just comes across as filler, or it’s too expository. i also can’t write actions 🫠

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

i am fluent(ish) in a few languages other than english but they almost never come up in fic lol. but if i had to include a foreign language, i’d either write it from the pov of the character who doesn’t know the language (and gets it translated from a third party) or i’d have to consult someone who could help me out with the language

Just one. It's a Bucky oneshot and I am trying to collect my shit to post my only series (A Gun Amongst Daggers) on there soon.

Right now? Just TGM, but I have been known to write some Marvel/Avengers fics

I do my best to get to every comment that gets sent my way and if I don't reply, I always read them. I love being able to connect with the readers and their kind words mean the world to me!

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

With what I currently have out? Probably This Love is Fireproof; it's not really all that angsty but I wrote it as a way to process my feelings around a wildfire burning near my home, so the ending is kind of open. Otherwise my angstiest fic isn't out yet, it's been a WIP for months now 😅

7. What is the fic you wrote with the fluffiest ending?

All of them? Ring Around my Rosie and I Just Need a Hug came to mind immediately, but I'm sure most of my work can fall into this category.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Not really. I've had one anon telling me that I was selling out by writing a WWII au (which is just living in plot-landia right now), and I have had a few confrontations with anons in my inbox saying some awful things about a good friend, but most of the time I try to keep it chill. If someone has an issue, DMing me is the best course of action because I want to handle things like an adult.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

If you know me, you know that the answer is no. I much prefer fluffy to smutty, but I have written it once or twice as a part of AGAD. I'm still practicing lol

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?

I haven't ventured in that direction just yet. Maybe in the future, but they aren't really my thing.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Once. I had a copycat rip off A Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, to the point where the title was a bunch of synonyms for mine. Some of it was changed, but yeah. It was taken down, thankfully, but I'm always wary of it now.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

No. Never. I'm not all that well known in my fandoms for writing, so I haven't ever been approached with an offer like that.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic?

Not in so many words. I am working with @footprintsinthesxnd on my WWII AU right now, she's been so generous as to offer her help with research, but I don't think I can call that co-writing, unfortunately.

I'd be interested in attempting one, if an opportunity ever presented itself.

14. What's your all time favorite ship?

I have too many! But probably Stucky, those two got me through some tough times lol

15. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Umm... this one I have where Jake gets his callsign of Hangman. It's also my angsty ending one and I think I need to go back to the drawing board on it. It's as of right now, started but unfinished, but I think that I can maybe slam it out. Just depends on the timing of everything.

16. What are your writing strengths?

Not a clue. I'm leaning towards really well-rounded and developed characters but I think I should leave that up to my readers.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Umm... smut. Which makes sense to me as I literally have nothing to draw from other than what I read and maybe scene descriptions. I feel I describe the scenes the same way and use the same words over and over, but maybe that's just me.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I haven't actually found a way that I feel does the language justice. I would totally add some French into a fic if I felt it was needed (its the only other language that I am fluent in, so that's why). Other times, I'm relying on Google Translate so I will usually just stick to English.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Percy Jackson back when I was 13. I wrote a few things over on Fanfiction.net and read shit that I should not have lol

20. Favorite fic you've written?

I love them all, but it has to be A Gun Amongst Daggers without a doubt. I poured 10 months of work into this fic and the characters will forever be a part of me. It is also the first series that I have ever finished, so I have so much love for this work of mine.

Do you have any advice about how to get better at the social side of fandom? I try to reblog art and posts that interest me with nice comments and post original content I think is fun and cool, but I can’t seem to make an impression on anyone. I’ve tried joining Discords, but I just end up getting overwhelmed and lurking like a weirdo. Overall, I just can’t seem to find my crowd, and I just feel discouraged and lonely while everyone else in fandom seems to have incredible friends.

Hi! This is a hard one because so many of us struggle with it, even people you think might not be, still feel the same way you do.  It’s even harder because you’re doing all the things I would immediately suggest as a place to start, to leave comments and tags, to create your own original content in the tags, to join Discord (I get overwhelmed by Discord a lot, too), so my best advice is that it just takes time. I know it feels like you’re the only lonely one, but I promise you that you’re not.  Yeah, you get some amazing extroverts in fandom (whom I love and admire deeply, even sometimes am envious of you guys! XD), but the majority of us are in the exact same boat.  It took me years to develop friendships with people, it took me years to get going on tumblr even to the point I’ve gotten to.  When I started, I posted so much--SO MUCH!!--and there were a lot of crickets until I’d been around awhile and had discussions with people. The best advice I can give you is to do your best to relax and know that you’re not the only one who feels this way and that it often is just a matter of time.  That the friends you make may not be the ones you’re expecting, that a lot of social interactions aren’t going to feel very satisfying and it has nothing to do with you, people are busy a lot, they’re depressed a lot, they’re shy a lot, fandom is often contentious and some of us don’t know who’s going to get mad at us because we like the Jedi, so we tend to hold our cards close to the vest.  Or sometimes we’re introverts as well and just don’t have a lot of social skills. You have to remember that, as much as it seems like people are out there with all these incredible friends, the vast majority of fandom is actually a bunch of socially anxious nerds who have trouble with interactions, even if it seems like they don’t.  It’s usually just a matter of time and letting the right friendships come to you, rather than seeking them out. It’s hard to give more explicit advice without knowing your specific circumstances--which I understand why you may feel shy about explaining more!--I don’t know what kind of original content you create, I don’t know which corners of fandom you’re interested in, like if you’re a fan of a particular ship or a specific character, or even what kind of friends you’re looking for, like do you want fandom friends or ones that you would give your full name and address? because those can be two very different things!  And sometimes it’s hard to tell which strengths of yours should be played to, like my strength is yelling about my feelings about Star Wars, partly because I’m good at it and partly because it’s the thing I genuinely most want to do in fandom, but someone else’s strength might be writing fic or drawing art, neither of which I’m very good at, your strength might be writing fic or making headcanon posts instead, and my advice on that would be different from if you just wanted friends to hang out with and speculate about a given series with casual friends versus friends who are intensely into the lore. Really, though, when it comes down to it, I suspect a lot of it is that it’s just a matter of time.  Ignore the overnight prodigies of social interaction fandom who seem like they found their friends immediately (I say with love, I promise XD) and remember that the vast majority of us took years to find our places and it can be disheartening to keep trying to put yourself out there, but it will happen eventually.

what made you pick up the current muse(s) you have?

Interesting story with Akio's origin, when first starting the blog Akio was actually a collaboration between a very old friend of mine and me. I unfortunately haven't talked to them in a very long time, but the idea was to create a character that could grow to become a more "Hero" type character. At the time, there was quite the lot of OCs who had unique stories, but none of them really had any heroic bits to them. So during Akio's draft, I picked a bunch of my favorite characters to design his personally. The two main characters being Zack Fair from FF7 Crisis Core and Roxas from Kingdom Hearts 2 specifically, Makoto from Persona 3 was also the reason Akio is blue/ocean-themed. So over the course of the years, Akio became a character I am proud to have written. Plus, it gave me a chance to meet a lot of wonderful people!

is there anything you don’t like to write?

Nothing in particular comes to mind out off the top of my head that isn't just common things. Like sudden gore related scenes or scenarios that might be more sensitive to write about, I have written such things before, but it is better to have a proper talk beforehand.

is there anything you really enjoy writing?

Oh, I adore writing action scenes with Akio. It gives me a chance to express Akio's energy and skill in a multitude of ways, but while writing his own skills is fun by itself. I love to add references to other characters assisting him in other ways. It helps to solidify how the connections and friendships he has made helped him grow stronger.

how do you come up with headcanons?

Music is often my main factor when it comes to writing Akio, while I never really had the time to dedicate myself into drawing, I took it upon myself to better my writing instead. With the help of music and even some game scenes, it inspires me to add things to Akio's character and style.

do you write in silence or do you play music? 

I have specific tracks for Akio when I write him, a more casual scene can be written easier with the track [A seafarer's skills - Bravely Default 2]. While come combat oriented ones can be split between Akio's chaotic and heavily stylish combat with [Intervalo I theme - Limbus Company] and, surprisingly, the more serious fights or scenes with either [Chesed's Theme - Library of Ruina] or [It's Going Down Now - Persona 3 Relaod]

do you plan your replies or wing them?

I usually think out my replies, which can cause them to take a while to come out. Ironically, some of my best replies and short stories come when I let myself get lost to whatever I am listening to and just let Akio take over. Usually happens late at night.

do you enjoy shipping? 

Akio is canonically married to Asta [@halfliing-ormr] and he even has kids of his own with her.

But with the idea of shipping in general, I like pairing up Akio with other OCs or characters to see how the synergy works. While a Platonic bond is the main thing to go for, it also helps to bring out other sides of Akio that I usually don't delve on my own. Like a more in depth talk about his magic issues or his heroic tendencies, often bringing him trouble.

Hi! Thank you for the warning. I don't "support" him or anyone, per se - I see art I like and reblog it. I'm sorry, but I'll have to do a small rant. Firstly: do I fall in the "fetishizer of clones" category? Because most of what I do here is ogle over them and write graphic smut of them with self-insert reader characters. Anyway, moving on:

When I reblog art from the small internet artists here, I'm not raising a flag or promoting them or anything, I'm just... slapping some pretty/cool/funny art on my blog bc I liked it, y'know? My reblog of some person's doodle doesn't - and shouldn't - mean an immediate display of my agreeing with everything this person says and thinks.

In fact, we share glimpses of each other's thoughts, headcanons, opinions with a reblog and we move on to the next one. I have mutuals who like all sorts of things I don't - soup, hiking, the brithish royalty, hunting. I still reblog their stuff, and that doesn't mean our opinions on those topics align.

Of course, I'm always grateful for warnings about me accidentally rebbloging content from a terf/nazi/homophobe/pedophile/scammer, etc, etc. because then I can erase said post and report the user who made it to try make Tumblr a safer community. Disagreeing on whether soup is good isn't the same as disagreeing on lgbt rights.

But when it comes to shipping... man, I don't really care, y'know? Since the clones are all adults, this falls to me in the "ship and let ship" category, and I really lack the mental energy to get into the whole debate of what artist is writing/drawing what about people who, at the end of the day, are still nothing but [adult] fictional characters.

Because here's the deal: who really cares about how or with whom these characters are being shipped? "The children"? They shouldn't be looking at art marked as 18+ in an account that says "no minors". People (like myself) with squicks/triggers/traumas? Tags and blocking systems exist precisely to aid you with that. I use them and I love it. People that Don't Like that ship and want everyone to stop shipping it because they said so? Tags and blocking, again.

I didn't mean to soapbox on your ask, anon, and I'm not even defending Lychgate here bc I don't really care enough about him or this debate to do so tbh.

But I want to emphasize that I only appreciate these kind of warnings when they are about serious, actively damaging stuff, like me accidentally spreading crypto-terf posts bc they're disguised as feminism, or me having some creepy teen groomer's pokemon content on my blog bc they made a funny joke.

I know your intentions are good, but shipping discourse of adult ships is, in my particular opinion, not that important. I don't even ship clones, nor do I care when I see works in which they are shipped. I'm just... detached enough to see they are fictional characters that anyone can get to play with in their own sandbox the way they see fit, and that's none of my business.

That's my stance on adult ships of - and I repeat it - fictional characters. Again, this is not a dig at you or any other person squicked/triggered by clone shipping, nor is a pro clone shipping post. In fact, I'm not pro or against anything when it comes to adult ships - i'm over 30 and way too tired to be screaming about any of this anymore as I did in my teens. Now I just wanna sit here and vibe.

Hello! My name is Tai, but you can also call me Zachary or Ruin. I'm a gay trans dude (he/him) just having fun online and posting whatever I'm currently interested in/fixated on! I mainly draw and write as a hobby, but occasionally dabble in some music as well.

I'm currently fixated on Saw! Expect seeing a bunch of that from me on my page :-) Some blood/gore and ship art is to be expected, so be on the lookout for that. I'm also interested in Insidious, ReAnimaror, That's Not My Neighbor, Good Omens, and POTO, so I might post/reblog some content of that here too! (And anything with my favorite actors to be honest)

Most recent ship: I would say Hannigram but I actually watched Our Flag Means Death for the first time more recently than Hannibal, so I have to say GentleBeard even though I am currently obsessed with Hannigram.

Most written about ship: Again, I would say Hannigram because I've posted the most about them, but I haven't actually written anything substantial about them (in terms of word count). I did once write a 45,000 word fic for a different fandom, but it was an x reader so I can't count that either really. Given all that, I think the ship I've written the most for is Yona/Hak from Yona of the Dawn. I've written about 9,000 words of fic for the two of them.

Ship that got me into fanart/fanfic: As far as fanfic goes, I started out writing almost exclusively x readers for a bunch of different fandoms. I'm pretty sure the first actual ship I wrote a fanfic for was Destiel. As far as fanart, I don't actually spend a lot of time drawing the same character or ship over and over in most cases, but I do remember that the first ship I ever drew fanart for was Mika/Yuu from Seraph of the End:

It's not a great piece of art but I drew it when I was 15 and my art has improved a lot since then. You can also see (what I think is) my most recent ship art below of Yona/Hak from Yona of the Dawn:

First ship: I mean Avatar: the Last Airbender came out when I was just a little kid, so I can't say I shipped it the same way I understand shipping works now, but I remember watching it and being like "Ew why is Katara with Aang she should be with Zuko."

Last song I listened to: Last song I listened to was Polyphemus from EPIC: The Cyclops Saga. If you haven't heard of the musical EPIC, I would definitely recommend checking it out. It's not entirely released yet though. Only two sagas are out and I think the creator (Jorge Rivera-Herrans) said there's a total of nine sagas.

Last movie I watched: My friends and I have a movie night every Friday, and this past Friday, we watched The Princess Bride and Pride and Prejudice. Also let me tell you, movie nights have greatly changed since the soundboard was introduced to discord. There's nothing like hearing Mr. Darcy say "I love... I love... I love you." followed by a vine boom.

Currently reading: I'm trying to get myself into reading Red Dragon by Thomas Harris. I'm 2 chapters in but my brain keeps wanting to gravitate towards the fanfiction world, so I'm actually currently in the middle of rereading the Hannigram fic Ethics and Aesthetics by FragileTeacup on AO3.

Currently consuming: I just finished stress-eating a bunch of chicken nuggets while sitting on the bathroom floor WOOO! My cats came to comfort me and also to try and steal some chicken nuggets.

Currently craving: idk a lot? I want a jamocha shake from Arby's but there's no Arby's near my house. I want to learn how to rollerskate but I'm afraid of breaking my spine again and I was never good at it even as a kid. I want to see my big sister but she and her husband are too busy for us until Christmas (but not for other friends and family).

I'm feeling really burnt out and lost after my doc told me that I probably have ncah but refuses to do further testing because 'it's not worth the trouble' and then spouted a bunch of intersexist excuses about how I don't have 'both parts' and so I can't be intersex :/ Any advice for self-care and self-preservation?

Hey, thank you for sending this in. I'm really sorry that your doctor said that. I can imagine that must be really disheartening and discouraging. You absolutely can be intersex without "both parts". Your doctor is objectively wrong. In fact, the majority of intersex people don't have "both parts". You might already know all that, but, just in case, you truly are welcome to label as, identify as, and be intersex. You do not need an "official" diagnosis.

That's a really good question. I think what self-care and self-preservation are can really be different for every person. For some people, self-care looks like taking a relaxing bath with bath bombs. For me, it often means making myself take a shower or playing a video game.

This is my personal way of doing it, but, when I need coping tools, I ask myself, what do I need? Do I need: a distraction, a comfort, advice/a solution, to vent, or bodily care?

What this means is: Do I need to do something like watch a movie or play a video game to distract myself and recharge? Do I need to do something soothing, like taking a nice bath, watch a kid's movie, or look at fanart of a ship I like (I know that's probably embarrassing but I am trying to be honest)? Do I need someone to tell me their thoughts on the situation or help me with the situation? Do I just need to let it all out and talk to someone? Do I need to do something to take care of my body like take my meds, shower, brush my teeth, or eat?

None of those are specific to being intersex, but I think they are very good questions to ask yourself when you are feeling upset.

The Clare Project has a self-care booklet directed towards gender diverse people here. You might find it useful, but it's okay if you don't.

Regarding intersex specific things...it can be hard to look for intersex things online without finding discourse or arguments, but you could try to look for intersex pride content. You might be able to try certain combinations of tags like intersex, pride, and art on Tumblr to find people celebrating intersexuality. (Although keep in mind people do cross-tag intersex and other queer identities in things which have nothing to do with it, which is considered spam and against the Tumblr TOS, so if you want to, you can technically report those people). I don't have much on this blog, but you can look at things like the #art tag to find pride content. Now that you bring this up, I'm going to try to come up with a tag for any posts that aren't questions or informational but intersex-related. Maybe #intersex pride?

When it comes to self-preservation, setting boundaries, taking care of our bodies, and finding coping mechanisms are all things that I think are important. Ideally, we aren't just trying to survive, but trying to survive well and live. We're trying to be happy. If you're taking care of yourself and surviving at a base level (which you are obviously surviving since you sent this), what are you doing to be happy? Is there anything you can do to make yourself happy? Do you like to create things? Do you like to watch shows or movies? Do you like to go outside? Try to do things that make you feel nourished, as a being.

My inbox is always welcome to people who need to vent about intersexism, if you need that.

This is just me, and this is because I'm an absolute dork, but I find making intersex headcanons and content for "fandom" (I don't consider myself in fandom/communities of the things I like, but rather in my own little bubble of myself and friends) really, really helpful. It helps me feel seen. I like to write content about characters being intersex. I like to draw characters being intersex. I like to make icons with the intersex flag or make posts about in what ways I think they're intersex. This helps me feel reaffirmed within the community as well as helps keep me proud of being intersex. This also goes for altersex stuff. I find fictional altersex sex systems really affirming and enjoy fantasy sex systems and fantasy genitalia. Something I struggle with though is that my intersex headcanons inherently are about their primary and secondary sex characteristics, which people often take as sexual when discussing.

If you like making characters, you can make intersex characters! An intersex persona or fursona! A world where the sex system is totally different! Stuff like that.

Like, if you or anyone ever wants to come into my inbox and ramble about an intersex headcanon or anything similar, feel free to! It can be as in-depth as you want. Like, this is a blog that discusses genitalia, so people can send asks explaining the way they think a character's primary and secondary sex characteristics are. I'm also happy to discuss my own headcanons.

Okay, that ends the dorkiness bit, but genuinely, that's what I find most helpful, but a lot of people don't like fandom or fandom-adjacent stuff, so that might not be for you.

I'm happy to discuss this with you further if this inspires anything else you can think of with this! Or if you think, "Oh, that idea sounds good, do you have any more stuff about that idea?"

I'm about to tell on myself so fucking hard but you know what I wish was a feature on A03?

So...nhentai gives every comic posted to it a number, right? And you can take just that number, nothing else, and type it into the site's search box and it will take you DIRECTLY to that comic. So when people on reddit or whatever want to post the source/talk about a comic they don't HAVE to post a whole ass link, they can just give you the number. Which is cool because links can be sketchy(there are a lot of fake nhentai sites that are just loaded with viruses and shit) and like, there are lots of other reasons people don't like clicking on random links/sharing them is hard(length for one). Just posting the comics barcode? I guess? saves all of that.

Plus something I have noticed is it's pretty fucking hard to find a specific fic if you don't have the link. Cuz just the title isn't gonna do you much good on A03 given how many fics all have the same/similar titles, and if you lost the author's name too you basically just have to dive headfirst into the fandom/ship tag and pray you find what you're looking for which SUCKS with big fandoms/ships that have like 100k + works. Which is actually part of why I think I've seen some people posting "I'm looking for this fic help" stuff as fics on A03.

(Edit: also with the common practice of orphaning and posting as anonymous on A03 sometimes the authors name doesn't do you any good either.)

So if each fic had/has a unique ID number it would be a lot easier to share them around so you'd be less likely to lose them, and you wouldn't have to worry about a broken link ect. cuz as long as you have those numbers you can find the fic again instantly.

And like A03 kinda has that in the sense that like, look, here's a link to one of my fics

It HAS those numbers at the end so theoretically if I knew a fics numbers I could just type in archiveofourown.org/works/(the number) and find the fic, but you can't actually use those numbers to search

So I don't see people like, normalizing sharing the numbers along with links cuz it's just a little too complicated.

But I mean just think, you find an old masterpost with hyperlinks to fics but the site has gone weird or the links broke or op deleted the post and the versions that still exist are all fucked up now something, and you're bummed cuz sure maybe they put the titles and fandoms and authors but for all you know the fics were set to anonymous or orphaned and either way that's a lot of searching, wouldn't it be nice if each listing also just had those numbers hanging out? And that way as long as you have so much as a picture of the post you can still find those fics. You don't have to save the post and hope it doesn't get deleted or go cram the stuff into "marked for later" right then and there, you can just hold on to those numbers. That sounds pretty nice to me!!

I dunno, maybe there is something I'm missing, but I was thinking about this bcs I have a bunch of new followers on Instagram who like this ship I make content for and I WANT to tell them I wrote a fic, but it's Instagram, you gotta post pics and doing a little info graphic feels kinda tacky? So I'm drawing something based on the fic to post, but then I guess I just have to put the link to the fic in the description or something, and I keep thinking GOD it would be so much easier if I could just post the numbers 38480276 and have that be enough for all of them to find the fic without scaring away people who don't want to click on random links/the awkwardness of just posting a link in general.

But yeah, that's my rant about the porn website doing it better bcs tbh sometimes they do and I think this being a feature or coming into common usage would be nice.

hi, you don’t need to post a response to this. just read it at least please. sorry this is long, i’m not going to send you hate or a bunch of angry messages like you might be getting, i just want to share my opinion with you. i thought it was interesting that you mentioned KBS (the fanfic, not sure if the author wants it in this conversation or not so i’m abbreviating the name). the cultish behavior that harry disapproved of in the story also included spreading negativity about the work of authors who really didn’t ask for it in a community that also did not really ask for it. i think that is where people were upset with you, because it opened a conversation of mocking what other people like under the guise of criticism/personal preferences. sort of similar to the people sharing hate in that story’s discord server under the guise of trolling or that it’s okay because they are just opinions. i know this wasn’t your intention, and i’m very sure you just meant your original post as a little bit of fun to talk about something that has been sitting on your mind for some time. these are just your opinions and you can have them, but i think it was just the way that you went about it which irritated people. although not your intention, it did come across a bit mean-spirited and inconsiderate, and it did seem like you shaded something that is very well-liked in this little fandom. this will draw criticism towards yourself and your opinion just from the very nature of the conversation as it is quite negative to discuss things you dislike, and tagging the main ship tags opens that dialogue to many who likely don’t want to see that. many people here seem to have come from fandoms where drama was non-stop over silly things like this, just topics that spiral out of control until people’s feelings get hurt and nasty things get said that aren’t necessary. it’s actually really stupid and very juvenile but unfortunately that’s what it is, and i think that’s why people didn’t want you to start a conversation like that so publicly.. it invites people to spread negativity about things that others find enjoyable and people argue about it. especially leading up to tom’s birthday which is supposed to be a fun time in the fandom, full of amazing creative content from everyone.. a conversation like this circling might make people insecure over what they planned to post. so sorry again about this being so long, you might completely disagree with me and that’s okay. i just wanted to explain to you without it needing to be public necessarily or make you feel like you’re being ganged up on. i really hope you don’t let this situation heavily affect your view on the fandom or the ship itself, i know it’s selfish of me to wish but you might find some that do agree with your opinions, meaning that it’s not like everyone hates you (and unfortunately, there is no community that is forever positive without arguments). i hope you have a nice rest of your week and that this situation doesn’t give you further anxieties or troubles <3 take care!

So, about KBS, if i recall it correctly, that discord service in the story was talking shit behind the auhors' back and harry, they were talking about how pathetic he's, i remember how that made him frustrated and sad. i didn't do that, there was nothing against anyone. not everyone may like my attitude in the original post, but i didn't intend to do harm or wasn't even serious while making it. however, they attacked me, called me slurs, sended many anon hates. that's why i thought my situation was similar to the story, because i'm overwhelmed by the pressure like him. someone even said, '"...and the author has more talent in their little finger than you will ever have in your sad little life, going by all the insecurity, bitterness, and discourtesy that you're spewing here." don't you think they took it too far for no reason? for nothing? and now they're gonna say i'm playing the victim like it's all my fault and deserve all of it. lovely. i'm human too, if they only thought it as much as they think "what would author feel?" just because i said their work is not for me. thank you for being kind though, i appreciate that and see your points. and lastly, i don't think there's a single thing in this world that would make me hate tomarrymort, let alone for something petty like this. :)

Instead of continuing the theme of granting glimpses into the unsettling realities faced by hypothetical sapient spaceships, I’m gonna post about perspectives and expectations versus reality! Aka the headcanons I have about the legends and mythology surrounding Lor based on what little was known about her by people in the past, and then how the expectations those created set up those in-the-know-but-not-quite about Halcandran history for some good ol’ whiplash. And since this isn’t discussing The Horrors I’m also putting it in main tags. As a treat. This is totally not part of my agenda to spread boat mom propaganda to more people.

Most of the legends around Lor stem from the simple fact that they’re the ideas people get about her based on observations without context and a lack of concrete information. For example, it was years after she was buried beneath the Haldera Volcano that it became common knowledge that there were multiple Starcutters that all have the same appearance; her name was just learned first, and with all the warping and appearing wherever in the sky going on people just assumed it was one ship named Lor doing everything. Everything included sailing majestically through the sky with what seemed like twinkling starlight in her wake, regularly cutting holes in spacetime like it was nothing, and overall being mysterious and seemingly ethereal. As one of several exploratory research vessel, she also had ties to the discovery of new planets and territories and such for the Halcandran empire to take advantage of, places that supposedly held the potential to become paradises if properly developed.

This combination of things, and the fact that such beliefs were not corrected for a very long time, led to Lor essentially becoming mythologized into an arcane, divine vessel with a heart and soul of its own that either served as the ferry to Paradise or could lead people there. And as many myths tend to do, things spun out from there, with some also deciding she must be able to don dark and royal colors and rain down divine punishment on the wicked, others saying she is the physical form taken by an angel or spirit of sorts, and a handful believing she is not merely the way to Paradise but actually holds it within. Many believed some combination of these ideas, even if they didn’t actually witness any of the things that inspired them. While at first in a sense they were drawing all the wrong conclusions, in a twist of fate spending a lot of time(as in almost 30,000 years) underground above the heart of Halcandra’s natural magic and below what may have been the most concentrated collection of soul magic ever… Well, it did have some impacts on her magic after a while that perhaps give some of those concepts more merit than they once had.

Of course that doesn’t change the fact that she is not actually some heavenly being of Paradise with godly powers beyond mortal comprehension. She’s a magical spaceship that was stuck in a rock for the vast majority of her existence and nearly forgotten about, who got taken for some teen’s takeover plan fated to go very wrong, crashed and broke, got fixed, crashed again twice being attacked by dragons under different circumstances, and woke up right as shit was hitting the fan. After all that confusion and the joy of saving herself and a bunch of strangers from the void like 3 minutes after awaking from what was possibly the record longest boat coma, she had to come to terms with everyone she ever knew being long dead and gone, the only place she really knew being entirely different and unsafe to return to, and the fact that she didn’t have anyone to go through this with. That was until some fuckin teenage catboy Minecraft spawned in the living room on the brink of death, apparently knew her for whatever reason, and was probably her best bet of finding out what the hap had fuckened while she was away. The medical part of that got figured out but afterwards the two took a while to get everything straight.

See, Magolor thought she just wasn’t talking to him the whole time on purpose; he had no idea her AI wasn’t activated so the person aspect of her literally wasn’t present. Lor in turn had absolutely no context for what she’d been involved in and was super confused how this Small Child(aka short teenager) knew anything about her because last time she was awake was thousands of years ago. The reveal that he’d pretty much taken her unconscious body for a joyride was… Interesting, for the both of them, as was the period of sorting out other miscellaneous but important things. For example, how to interact with someone who is also a something that you hyperfixated on for a long time without seeming weird, or how to gently explain to someone that at least a third of what they thought they knew about you wasn’t true. There were also more introspective things that needed to be thought out, like their respective flavors of coming to terms with everything you ever knew having been taken away and changed. In the same vein, Magolor had to find out how to cope with no longer having his family to live with, while Lor was left figuring out what she was going to do with no purpose to serve or duties to perform for someone else.

Of course they thankfully kinda solved each others’ “fuck what now” problems because the egg came to understand the hype behind found family while the boat decided to spend her new life looking after her new son. The two must’ve had that kind of connection to one another for a reason, right? Magolor really needed someone else with an ounce of responsibility to help him stay on the right path, and also make sure he doesn’t have an accident related to adhd and homemade bombs. Lor needed someone she could look after to have that sense of purpose for her existence again, and to a degree she also wanted someone to be there who could help her adjust to an era entirely foreign to her. Some might say she’s become a guardian angel for him, but she personally prefers the title of adoptive mom. Both because it’s more accurate to their relationship and because she wants him to experience consequences and learn from them rather than simply shielding him from everything the world tosses his way. Oh and because they are prone to mutual fucking around and finding out, impulsive decisions, and getting on Meta Knight’s nerves.

Speaking of which, he was probably even more surprised by Lor than Magolor, if only because he had mostly read things depicting her as mysterious, unbelievably powerful, and willing to do what needed to be done to bring reckoning to evildoers. In other words his expectations were decidedly not for her to turn out to be this curious and somewhat lighthearted computer lady who will happily harbor a traitor and spend time becoming well-versed in modern internet culture. Already not the most respectable combination of traits, in his eyes, and that was before their clashing views of authority became obvious. They got on better terms after Lor found out what exactly went down that led to the circumstances of her waking up, but saying they see totally eye to eye now would be wrong for more reasons than just their height difference and the fact that ships don’t have eyes. Also he’s mad that he doesn’t have the fastest and most advanced airship in Dreamland anymore but he just doesn’t say it. He doesn’t say a lot of things he feels towards her and Magolor, really. It’s for the better.

Anyways the moral of the story is that how history is written doesn’t always reflect the truth! For example someone capable of rending spacetime with ease is not necessarily a godlike entity. They might even like giving people head pats. Or making their voice sound like Moonbase Alpha or Hatsune Miku. Or gaming
