#kara next to lena with her arms around sg

this is set in an au that’s some kind of vague mashup of s4/s5 where lena found out about her magic and sg at the end of s3, then left, and then the deo turned against kara.
/
Kara’s powers are a dim and distant memory, but still she can hear the alarms. She can feel the earth shake, and the rage of a storm howling all around.
It is… strangely comforting, somehow.
She had let herself sink into the haze of the Kryptonite. The sickly green light suffusing her body, sapping her strength, gnawing at her, consuming her. Time blurred and fell away: a second an eternity of agonizing torment, an hour slipping away in the blink of eye. The cell and the glowing green shackles becoming her own personal Phantom Zone.
But now, she feels something almost like hope.
The alarms are closer now, and the howl reaches a crescendo. Gunfire, and shouts that are quickly cut off just outside. Then the cell door is flung open.
Kara recognizes her immediately – how could she not? Even wrapped in her ragged dark cloak, even wreathed in a halo of golden light, even after all their time apart.
Maybe Kara is hallucinating, or dreaming. Maybe she’s dying.
“Lena.”
Then Lena is right in front of her. The lightest touch on her wrist, and the shackles holding her up and suppressing her powers come loose. Without the support, she collapses. But Lena catches her, easing her down. “You came. You got my message,” Kara mutters. “You kept the watch?”
“Of course I did,” Lena whispers absentmindedly.
The brief lucidity is slipping away again. But this time it’s the safety and comfort of Lena’s presence she’s sinking into.
“You left. Every one left me. Alex left me.”
“She didn’t,” Lena says with surprising vehemence. “She didn’t know what to do, and she made a mistake.”
Kara loses focus on the thread of the conversation as Lena turns around, aiming some kind of device at the kryptonite emitters on the walls.
“I made you leave. I’m sorry,” Kara babbles. “I’m sorry, Lena.”
“I know,” she says softly, returning to Kara. Gentle fingers caress Kara’s bruised wrists. She’s close, so close – she slaps something on Kara’s chest.
A flash of golden light jolts through her, melting away the haze once again. Every cell in her body is humming with energy, and for the first time in forever she feels fully awake. Looking down, she finds a small metallic disk on her chest, pouring yellow light into her body.
“What – ” Kara starts, not even sure which question is going to be first, but Lena silences her.
“Not now. That won’t last long.” There’s a commotion the hallway. Without looking, Lena tosses a small stone towards the door with a brief chanted incantation. A curtain of fire erupts, covering the door. “No time. Come on, up.”
She offers Kara her hand, and Kara takes it. She stands up mostly under her own power. She’s just about to ask Lena what next when the kryptonite emitters on the walls flicker back to life. Kara nearly doubles over in pain.
“Fuck.” Lena presses a button on her watch – not the one Kara gave her, she notices – and points it somewhere behind Kara.
At the same time, the fire dies down.
The last Kara sees of the cell is Alex, shocked expression on her face and gun held limply in her hand as she steps through the door, calling Kara’s name. Kara lets herself fall back into the safety of Lena’s arms, and the cell vanishes in a swirl of purple light.

Because how close Supergirl and Sentinel are, how Sentinel is more gentle with sg, the public thinks they are a couple
Kara is super offended that she's not paired with Lena.
Adds 10 years to Alex's therapy
Cue the f!Guardian
sdjghlsg ok so i was just gonna post a meme but i was feeling inspired for the first time in 84 years. i still dont have the space to open up ask prompts yet, but here u go, and thank you for the ask!

Kara buried her face in her hands with an uncomfortable whine. On the high metal table she was leaning against a stack of tabloids had been scattered and flipped through, a couple of the nastier ones were crumpled. Pinned to the surface under her elbow was the latest edition of National City Mail. It was a full page, full color photo of Supergirl with her arm slung around Sentinel’s shoulders, her body leaning tiredly into the more slight form of the sleek vigilante. The angle of the photo and the way her eyes were downcast gave off the impression that she was leaning in to kiss her.
Super Saved by Sentinel, Sparks Sizzle!
“I hate tabloids. Soulless vultures.”
Kelly rubbed soothingly across the back of her shoulders with a concerned sound. It had been a growing issue ever since Alex had started working as Sentinel, everything getting even more messy when Kelly had joined the fray as the new Guardian in gold armor.
Supergirl and Sentinel, Is there something MORE?
A Super Save, Sentinel Snatched from Harm’s Way in a Close Embrace
Soft Spot for Sentinel? Supergirl Sings Praises
On and on the blithering headlines went, spinning tangled yarns as she and Alex worked more and more together in the public eye. Kara picked her head up and roughly shoved the tabloid away from her as if it stunk. Across the metal table Alex was stony faced and silent. She was also a little green around the gills.
“Kelly you should kiss Alex next time we save the day.”
“Not the right move, Nal.” Alex warned, not even bothering to look at Nia.
Nia bit her lip to keep from laughing, but Kelly wasn’t as tight lipped with a soft giggle. “Well you can’t just tell everyone you’re sisters. Maybe distant cousins could work?”
“Still not helping, sweetie.” Kelly softly turned Nia down. “It was a good thought.”
“I just don’t know what to do.” Kara whined. “Why Sentinel?” Kara griped.
“You two are, like, obviously buddy buddy even in costume.” Nia looked at her as if it were the most obvious answer in the world.
“But I’m like that with you!” Kara whined a little louder. “With Kelly! Even more so with Lena!”
Nia just shrugged. “I dunno, dude. Tabloids are weird like that. And the more you protest the more they double down. Though it doesn’t help a lot of people think you’re together. Don’t ever go in the twelfth floor break room at CatCo.”
“I’m going to need so much therapy for this.” Alex muttered, her dark eye makeup a little smeared from when she had hidden her face in her arms earlier.
Kara crossed her arms across her chest, feeling put out and jealous and a whole manner of mixed up ugly emotions.
“I wish they would leave me alone. But Sentinel? If they want to catch a picture of me with anyone I’d rather it be Lena.”
There was an awkward silence for a beat and Kelly filled it with an uh huh. Kara froze.
“I said that out loud, didn’t I?” Kara laughed nervously and glanced around, the heated embarrassment of her accidental semi-confession creeping up her neck and face.
Alex grimaced sympathetically. Nia’s wide eyes were trained over her shoulder and her mouth was pressed into a thin line.
“Could you all give us a moment, please?”
Kara’s heart dropped through her stomach and out her ass as Lena spoke up quietly behind her.
Fuck.
She had really done it now.
Kara looked beseechingly to Alex for help, but all she got was an apologetically mouthed sorry and her sister was high tailing it out of there. Nia kept her mouth shut but gave Kara a somewhat supportive thumbs up and flip to finger guns as she left as well. Only Kelly, kind and supportive, gave her forearm a gentle squeeze and whispered one last bit of advice.
“You’ll be fine. No more secrets.”
She gave Kara a no nonsense look with a quirk of her brow, and then slipped away leaving the two of them in the room alone together. Kara could feel the space yawning open between her and Lena and she knew Kelly was right. No more secrets. She took a deep breath, straighted up with squared shoulders, and turned-
Lena was right there.
Right in front of her, barely two feet away.
Kara forgot what she was going to say.
“Hi.”
Lena’s green eyes were dark and roving all over her face, cheeks pink. “Me, huh?”
Kara swallowed thickly and nodded, afraid to say something even more stupid.
“Why me?”
Just the two simple words lanced through her paper thin defenses and words were spilling from her mouth like a geyser.
“I just-you’re amazing and so smart and honestly I don’t think I’ve had a better friend-and you’re so smart I haven’t had someone to talk to who knows as much as I do since Krypton and-and-Rao Lena you’re gorgeous too I’m almost intimidated-but you’re so kind and understanding and empathetic and if I could tell the world how amazing you are every minute I would because you’ve-”
Kara’s back collided with the table as Lena careened into her, her lips hot against her own as slender arms wrapped tightly around her neck. She steadied herself and breathlessly returned the affection as tabloids fluttered to the floor.

You know what could have been a Real Good God-Tier SG Reveal?
Lena defusing something incredibly life-threatening, like a bomb or some shit, and feeling a nice calm settling over her as the timer ticks closer and closer to detonation. Because at this point, she realizes that she’s not going to make it, but it’s okay because she’s already made everyone else leave the premises and she’s going to die alone, which is honestly the best outcome she could ever ask for in this situation.
Then the absolute worst outcome she could ever ask for starts taking shape right before her eyes when Kara Danvers appears out of nowhere. And Lena tries to kick her out, tries to desperately explain why Kara can’t be there right now, and her panic hits a fever pitch when the timer hits zero and Kara’s still in the room with her.
The next thing Lena knows, her ears are ringing, there’s dust in her eyes and mouth, and Kara’s arms are wrapped around her so tight that she could hardly take even a single breath. And all the while, Kara’s whispering into her hair, “It’s okay, it’s okay. I’m Supergirl. You’re safe, and I’m safe. We’re okay.”
And in that moment, all Lena has room to feel in her heart is relief, because thank god, Kara’s still alive. Thank god Lena didn’t kill her.

Listen, I actually couldn't finish this episode. Like I lost brain cells, got ingestion and finally KO-ed because I could NOT grasp the plot. Not even seeing Lena again made this enjoyable for me. But here's what I got:
- I wonder how many takes Thomas took to say Nxyly's full name without biting his tongue off
- also I am so sorry Thomas that they had you sing. And yet somehow that wasn't the most cringe thing to happen in this episode
- Nia and Kara desperately assigning blame to themselves instead of just, idk, working together to fix the problem. Who cares who's fault it is??
- Alex jumping in front of kara when mxy brandishes the PZ projector is the only thing I liked
- Kelly's absence felt so odd after 2 back to back episodes of her front and centre
- Nia thinking that Kara would drag her for making a mistake makes me wonder if these characters even know each other
- kara: "I should've told you guys about Nxyly". Yes you idiot you absolutely should have! Like I get that they don't wanna bring it up but like how is ignoring what happened to her any better? Do they not do any Intel sharing?
- the fucking zookeeper is still here?!?!?
- look I wasn't expecting Lena to be talking to kara on the phone, I know better than that, but I had hoped it would at least be Nia considering that Lena and her have been bonding over their moms and it just makes sense??
- andrea's titty window sans kara or Lena to see it. What was it all for?
- I understand Lena using Andrea's resources to help her out and shit and I'm actually surprised the writer's remembered she doesn't have access to the LuthorCorp jet anymore. I honestly wouldn't have batted an eye if she did tho.
- the way we haven't had ANY scenes of dialogue between kara and lena aside from 6x01 and only ONE line from kara to Lena since then. Like are they actually going to brush everything under the goddamn rug? We heard from Alex that they've forgiven each other and it seems that way too but we haven't actually had the chance to judge that as an audience and it's (checks notes) 11 episodes already???
-Kara is back and yet Lena doesn't seem full. Kara is back and yet she hasn't been vulnerable with lena or with anyone really. Or was that all a lie?
- Nxyly is actually kinda hot in this episode. Interesting development there
- the team actually fighting a giant pussy cat and more brain cells have died. If they were hoping it would be amusing like the Legends fighting a giant Beebo, spoiler alert - it was not
- mxy and Nxyly and even the king has some keysmash names but one imp is actually named Jared? Just fucking Jared. Christ
- Lena being bullied by a bunch of Canadians is hilarious and I say this as a Canadian. Like Lena has stood her ground against Lex, Lillian, SG, an interrogation room filled with judgemental pricks, fucking Reign and yet, she looked two seconds from crying when denied her hotel room by some fucking Newfies. Get the fuck outa here.
- not a single Tim Hortons run in this entire episode. Are we sure she even went to Canada???
- at one point, I was rooting for Nxyly to win.
- so not only did they bring back that god awful wig that they actually had the audacity to make footage with it? That thing needs to be snatched and thrown into the sun like the trash monster.
- Katie looked so done in this episode and I don't even blame her. I suffered second hand embarrassment on her behalf. Those lines, her behaviour. It's like what the fuck happened to the Lena from the past 4 seasons?
- the mean bartender says "I've seen you on the news running arm in arm with a bulletproof alien" and the places my mind went is probably why I didn't pay any attention to the rest of the episode.
- so lemme see if I have this right. Lena's mom visits the cave lady in her dreams but never once thought to visit her traumatized little daughter?
- am I supposed to be upset that they killed an abuser? Because I'm not
- so much porn shots of the town car driving up and down some sketch and lonely road
- did Google maps really lead Lena to some random cave?? Bruh
- Lena's scenes felt so disconnected for a minute I thought I was watching a completely different show.
- aluminum foil on the props lord did they just say fuck it and made a Dollarama run for the cheapest 200ft roll they could buy?
- Kara being a mentor to Nia for the first time since that Nia centric episode last season. God I hate it here.
- they do remember J'onn is a shape shifter right? Why do we need an image inducer? I get the little Lena is still with the team crumb but it's stupid.
- still no word on M'gann huh
- yo since the Luthors are technically perceived on Earth-Prime as "good", what trail of bodies is this bar lady talking about? This isn't public knowledge and Lena's mom only killed 1 dude who frankly deserved it.
- sigh. We're really doing this witch Lena thing then.
- kara stop trying to reach the good in people! Just stop. When has this bullshit EVER WORKED? Some people are just too far gone. Accept it.
- stronger together has truly lost meaning on this show
- Alex and Kara being so willing to hold much less use the PZ projector is utter bullshit. Also they just have that thing lying around for any grabby hands to take?
- what the actual fuck is Kara's arc this season? Or Alex? Or poor J'onn. The man has been seriously neglected.
- kara is supposed to be the most powerful being on the planet and yet this show continues to nerf her abilities. God I missed the days of S1 when Kara looked like she could fuck shit up.
- also when is kara going to be the focus of her own show again? Are we ever going to properly address Kara's issues? We got two episodes of James processing his trauma and only 5 mins of flashbacks in 6x08 for Kara and a few fleeting moments sprinkled across the last 5 seasons. Ridiculous. Like it won't diminish her as a character to seek professional help, it won't make her any less of a hero. Think of how impactful that would be and the message that could send about the importance of mental health.
- glad to see a promo for this important episode next week (I honestly can't wait - Kelly in a head wrap is so personal to me y'all) but please I'm begging you, do not make the issue of race come at the expense of kara's intelligence and awareness. She's a journalist, she's seen xenophobia and written about it, she's been friends with James for years. Kara knows about racism. Please show that.
Needless to say I did not enjoy this episode at all. I was happy to see Lena again but all her scenes were just hard to watch. I feel like so much of their very limited time is being wasted and there's still so many things they haven't touched upon yet. When exactly are we gonna get to it? Better question, will we ever get to it? Probably not.
Like I wanted to see the super friends communicating, leaning on each other, character growth, being truly stronger together but no. They're giving us literally anything but that and it's frustrating.

Based on my SG head cannon post the other day...
I made a post about my head cannon after this past week’s episode... thus I present my one shot scene based on said head cannon... an Alex/Lena drunken scenario. Tentatively titled “The One”...
Lena sighs heavily as she pours herself another shot. All the heroes had gone home for the day. Another day, another failure at bringing her back. Lena still can’t say her name. She fights off the cringe every time someone says her name. She was able to spend those first few days she was gone, focused on Lex and the trial. Spending time with Andrea, leaning on her for support. Trying so hard to not think about her. And then when he was free, she focused on taking him down, on trying to fight him at Luthorcorp, with Brainy’s help. But then… she did the unthinkable. She left Luthorcorp. And while, in the moment, it was the most amazing feeling in the world. To finally walk away from him, for good. And she knows, in her heart and soul that this is and will forever be the best decision she could have ever made for herself, to finally be free of Lex, that this also means she can no longer focus on the anger and hatred she has for her brother. She must now focus on the other emotions that have been bubbling up beneath that. The guilt and the grief that she has surrounding the loss of her.
“I just got you back. And I turn around and immediately lose you. Like the idiot I am. Why did I not see him using it… not predict this would happen…” Lena says out loud, to herself, before downing her third shot in ten minutes. She stares at her phone, at the last photo she has of her and Kara, smiling, happy, from over a year ago.
Lena is so wrapped up in her own guilt and grief, she doesn’t hear the door to the Tower open.
“Lena,” Alex says, seeing Lena sitting on the barstool with her bottle of whiskey, shot glass, and phone, tears glimmering in her eyes.
Lena looks away, attempting to wipe her tears away as she does. “I thought everyone had gone home for the evening.”
Alex walks up to her, pulling up a stool. “We did. I came back. I forgot something.”
“Oh,” is all Lena manages to say as she pours herself another shot.
Alex watches Lena, who refuses to look up. “So do I get one, or is there only one shot glass?”
This comment finally draws Lena’s gaze as she looks up to see Alex looking at her with a soft smile. Lena’s head nods towards a cupboard and Alex gets up to retrieve her own glass. As she does, she sends Kelly a quick text, letting her know she won’t be home for a while. She returns a few moments later and Lena pours her a shot.
After she down it, Alex asks, “So, what are we drinking for this evening?”
Lena lets out a single, harsh laugh “To my failures.” She pours them both another shot and slides Alex’s glass back to her across the table.
They down the next shot. “Lena, you know we are all working hard to get K-”
“Don’t say her name!” Lena yells, surprising them both.
Alex holds her hands up, palms facing Lena in surrender. “We are all working hard to get her back. We all miss her, so much. We all feel like we failed her.”
Lena shakes her head as she pours another shot before she starts rambling, almost more to herself than to Alex. “But none of you spent the entire last year betraying her and working against her… I didn’t get enough time to prove to her… to make it right… to fix things… to tell her… to show her… there wasn’t enough time… and Lex is my brother… my family did this… I can’t help but wonder if Kara had never met me…”
Alex reaches across, putting a hand on top of Lena’s. “Woah, I’m gonna stop you right there. Kara and I already know what happens if the two of you never meet.”
Lena stares at Alex for a few seconds with a look of complete confusion before finally asking, “What’s that now?”
Alex downs the next shot and then shakes her head. “Kara is gonna kill me for telling you this, but she tried to go back and change the past. She tried to go back and tell you the truth before Lex. She got to see what the outcome of telling you at different times would be. And then she got to see what a timeline looks like where the two of you never meet.”
Lena stares blankly at Alex before she looks down at the whiskey. “I’m gonna need more alcohol for this.”
A half hour later, and several shots later, Alex has filled in Lena on Kara’s adventure with Mxy that happened all those months ago. She tells Lena what she knows from each timeline, what Kara told her. How each one came with its own consequences, usually far worse than what happened in the current timeline, because one or both of them were usually dead. In one of the timelines, everyone was dead.
“So… let me get this straight…” Lena says, her words a bit slurred now, “The one we never meet… my mother turns me into a monster… and I become an evil dictator… that’s… that’s perfect.” She finishes with a hiccup, her eyes glassy. By now, the two women are sitting on the floor, Alex is showing Lena photos of Kara from their adolescents and from college. The bottle of whiskey is nearly gone.
“This past year… She was miserable without you in her life… She hated it.” Alex says, firmly.
Lena’s eyes fill with tears. “Me too,” is all she manages to get out before her eyes wander back to Alex’s phone and the photo’s she is scrolling through.
Alex pauses for a moment, waiting to see if Lena says anything else. When she doesn’t, softly, Alex says, “I know you’re in love with her.”
Lena freezes as her breath hitches. Alex doesn’t say anything else. Lena doesn’t deny it as Alex puts an arm around her and pulls her into a side hug, letting Lena rest her head on her shoulder. After a few more minutes of silence, Lena softly whispers, “she’s the one, Alex. It’s always been her.”
Alex feels Lena shudder as the tears finally fall. She gentle rubs Lena’s arm. “I know. We will get her back, Lena.”
The two women stay there a few more hours, finishing off the whiskey, reminiscing about Kara, sharing stories. Eventually, Alex calls Kelly, who graciously comes to pick them both up. She makes sure Lena makes it home safe before taking Alex home.
The next day, Lena returns to the tower bright and early, hell bent on working on some new ideas for locating Kara in the phantom zone, despite the headache from the previous evening’s adventure. She is joined by Brainy very early on and not long after, by J’onn, M’gann, and then Alex.
When Alex walks in and greets everyone, bringing food with her for the group, Lena’s breath is caught in her chest as the memory from the night before flashes through her mind.
I know you’re in love with her.
As Alex makes her way over to where Lena is working, Alex gives her a curt head nod, and simply says, “So what’s the plan for today?”
Lena is surprised, but manages to answer her question, going into her ideas and what her and Brainy are already starting to work on. Alex seems excited and asks how she can help. And as the day goes on, Alex never mentions their conversation from the night before. Even when her and Lena are left alone when the others go out to handle a bank robbery with aliens. And that’s when Lena realizes, Alex isn’t going to mention it. That maybe perhaps Alex needed last night just as much as Lena did. And that for the first time since it happened, maybe she had hope that they would get her back. And then she could finally tell her the truth.

I had a Supercorp dream last night where Lena and Kara were still in the fallout of Kara's secret, and Kara finally knew that Lena knew her real identity. But Lena got injured publicly, and for some reason, she was in hiding and on the run. Kara was desperate to find her, because she knew Lena needed medical attention.
Somehow, Lena left a clue for Kara (it was kinda vague in my dream, but it was the location of something they needed to save the world, but Kara figured out that it's also where Lena is). And it gives Kara hope because it tells her that Lena still wants Kara's help. No matter how angry she is, she hasn't given up on their friendship, and in her hour of need, Lena still knows Kara can help her, and she wants her to.
The clue was on a slip of paper (I couldn't read the rest of it but it was a long code and might have been a literary reference or might have been in Kryptonian). And at the bottom of the clue was "D28".
Every single one of the Superfriends helped find her (except for J'onn who was at the DEO covering for them), surprisingly even Mon-El was there to help look for Lena because she was in danger (don't know why, maybe Lena dying changes the future).
The group goes to L-Corp to search through records there to find Lena and whatever it is they were looking for. There were file cabinets that the group thought D28 was referring to, and they're rifling around, searching desperately.
But Kara's the only one who knows Lena's thought process, and she tells them it's not here, she's not here. Somehow they all end up in a bunker, I think it might have been an old, dilapidated nuclear shelter (probably Lionel's) and it was huge. Huge enough that the supplies in there could be sorted by day.
Kara and the others run along the aisles, and Kara's the first to find D28 (Day #28). She searches desperately, but there's nothing there to help her.
And then Lena's voice comes from behind her, and she's condemning Kara for every single time she lied to her, and how Kryptonians are liars and they've brought nothing but suffering to Lena and her family.
And Kara's heart sinks, because she thought - she thought -
Lena appears from the shadows, limping from her injuries. Her clothes are bloody and she's looking worse for the wear, and Lillian appears beside her, supporting her daughter.
Both Luthor women stare at Kara in her Supergirl suit. The look on Lillian's eyes as she looks at Kara is disdainful and triumphant, like she revels in the aftermath Kara's secret had wrought. Lena looks at Kara with a spark of rage in her eyes, but underneath it all, she just looks tired and defeated. Like cornered prey knowing it's as good as dead, lashing out one last time to try and save its own life.
And Kara hates that look, because she put it there. Lillian may have taken advantage of it, but Kara's betrayal had brought Lena here.
She tries to reach out to Lena, to take her in her arms and make it right, but Lillian spirits her away, and Lena goes with her.
The bunker is huge, and there's so many places to hide (there were showers, and there was a lot of steam, and Lillian took Lena in there to bathe her and treat her wounds). Kara searches desperately but she can't find them. At one point Hank Henshaw appears, and a robot/clone/cyborg Supergirl too (it wasn't clear, but I think an emotionless SG would have helped convince Lena in her vulnerable state that Kara didn't care for her). And Kara fights them, and she also gets injured. She tries to get up and get to Lena.
And then I don't know what happens next, 'cause I woke up 😅 but whatever, i was more entertained by a dream than season 5b.

You Saved Me
Lena Luthor x Stark!Reader
Requested by @confusinggemini612
Request: I saw that you wanted some Supergirl requests so I figured I'd give my idea a go. I took some inspiration from A DEO Agent & an Avenger, how about r x Lena where r is Tony Stark's daughter & a genius just like him so Lena & her instantly click. Also, at some point Lena gets taken & instead of SG saving her it's r who has her own iron suit & is an Avenger. Thanks
Disclaimer: I don’t own any of the characters, they belong to DC and Marvel.

You remember the first time you met Lena. It feels like it was only yesterday, the Avengers had to work on a mission with the DEO. The DEO had found a few hydra bases so they contacted Nick Fury.
During the mission you had gotten close to Kara and Alex. The day before you and the others had to go back to the Avengers compound Kara had invited you over for game night.
That night was when you met Lena. The two of you instantly clicked. You both started taking about a few things that you’ve been working on and you’ve been talking ever since.
Over time you started to realize that you had feelings for Lena but you didn’t know what to do. You wanted to tell her but you were scared of losing her.
xxxxx
“When are you going to tell Lena?” Alex asked.
You were in National City visiting your friends for a few days. You looked up at Alex, raising an eyebrow. “Tell Lena what?” You were trying to act like you had no idea what Alex was talking about.
“Come on (Y/N), this is me you’re talking to.” She walked over to you, placing her hand on your shoulder before turning you around so you were facing her. “I know you have feelings for Lena.”
You sighed. “I just don’t know what to do. What if she doesn’t feel the same?”
Alex gave you a kind smile. “You’ll never know unless you tell her, trust me.” She pats your shoulder before leaving the room to go find Kara.
You watch as she left before looking down, lost in your thoughts. You took a deep breath. Alex was right.
xxxxx
You looked up at L-Corp for a few seconds before walking inside. You asked the receptionist if Lena was in and if you could see her. They let you go up to Lena’s office.
Once you got there you took a deep breath before knocking on the door. You waited for her to let you in but there was nothing. Something wasn’t right. You knocked again. “Lena? It’s me can I come in?” You got no response.
You opened the door and what you saw made your stomach drop. Lena was gone, the balcony doors were open and there was clearly a struggle. You quickly looked around to try and find anything that might help you to find out where Lena might have been taken.
You saw a piece of paper out of the corner of your eye, you went over and picked it up. The person who took Lena must be new to the job because they dropped their instructions.
You walked out onto the balcony and called your iron suit. Once your suit was on you took off to the location where Lena was taken. You knew you should’ve called Kara but there was no time. You had to save Lena, you couldn’t lose her.
xxxxx
Once you got to the location you did a superhero landing. As soon as you did enemies came running at you. You used your blasters to take them out. No one was going to get in your way of saving Lena.
When the enemies outside were taking care of you flew to the building. You broke the door down and went inside, taking out the enemies trying to attack you.
You found a room with the door closed, you tired opening it but it was locked so you knocked the door down. What you saw caused you to see red. Lena was strapped down on a table and there were two scientists, one was about to put something into her.
You growled. “Get the hell away from her!” You used one of your blasters on one of the scientists and punched the other one, knocking them out.
You quickly went over to Lena, you broke the restraints. “Lena, look at me.” You gently placed a hand on her cheek. The faceplate on your suit lefts up so Lena could see you.
“(Y/N)...”
“I’m here, I got you. Everything is going to be okay.” You carefully picked her up, carrying her bridal style. Once Lena was in your arms she passed out. You ran outside and flew up, flying as fast as you caould back to National City.
When you got to the DEO you flew inside. “Alex!” You yelled for her as you land.
Alex and Kara came running over to you. “(Y/N) what happened?”
“Lena... she...” You were so close to breaking down. Once Lena passed out you started to get really scared, you didn’t know what those people did to her before you were able to find her.
Alex brought you to the med-bay, you gently placed Lena down on the bed. You didn’t want to leave her side but you knew Alex needed to work on making sure Lena was okay.
Kara placed a hand on your arm before guiding out of the room so you two could talk about what happened.
xxxxx
After Alex ran some tests she found out that Lena was fine. You had gotten there just in time before they put whatever they were going to use in her.
By now you changed out of your iron suit, you were sitting in a chair next to the bed Lena was on. You heard Lena let out a groan, she tried to sit up but you gently pushed her back down on the bed. “Easy, you need to rest.”
“(Y/N)...” She looked over at you, she could tell that you’ve been crying. “You saved me.”
You nod. “When I saw that you were taken I was so scared...”
Lena reached over, she placed her hand on your cheek. She cupped your cheek and wipes away the tears that started to fall with her thumb. “I’m okay, I’m safe.” She gave you a small smile.
“Lena I have feelings for you and when I saw you were taken I...” You look down. “I thought I lost you.”
Lena slowly sat up, she leaned forward and kissed you. When you both pulled away from the kiss Lena rest her forehead against yours. “I have feelings for you too.”
You couldn’t help but smile. “When Alex says it’s okay for you to leave the med-bay would you like to go on a date with me?” You bit your lip.
“I would love to go on a date with you.” Lena smiled before pulling you into another kiss.

Supergirl and Lena Luthor participating in a marathon. Maybe Supergirl is wearing some SG themed sports paraphernalia that has Lena thirsting. She’s trying to run at humanish speeds and it ends with her carrying Lena on her back over the finish line. Everyone’s murmuring about how chummy and, uh, handsy the two are around each other
(For @hedoesthexindifferentvoices , sorry it took so long, life is weird, so have some cute!)
Okay, so, running has never particularly been Kara's thing.
Like, duh, obviously she's fast, and she's only really slower than Barry Allen by like, a hair, but still. Why run when you can fly? Flying is just… better, objectively. The views, the smoothness, the freedom that can only come from freaking flying…
So yeah, Kara's fast, but she's not really 'a runner'.
Which is why she's still questioning how it is, exactly, that she finds herself out this morning, stretching needlessly in a crowd of thousands as they loosen up before a marathon. "How did Supergirl go from starting the race and presenting medals to running it?"
There's a soft chuckle beside her, and a quiet murmur of, "Charity, love, charity."
"Those dang, cute sick kids," Kara mutters. "They knew I was weak for their sweet little faces and smiles."
Lena elbows her lightly with a grin. "I know, trust me. Training for marathons isn't exactly my favorite sort of exercise."
"And what is your favorite sort of exercise,  Miss Luthor?"
"Behave, Supergirl," Lena chastises lightly.
Kara raises her eyebrows innocently,  but her wide smile is devilish. "I don't know what you mean, Miss Luthor. Just making conversation."
Lena eyes her, lips pressed together to stop a smile. "I'll remind you that I'm very happily taken."
"Racers ready!"
Kara's mouth snaps closed and she sighs. She's gonna do her best to do this race at a human pace (it'd be hardly fair to medal in an event like this, after all), and she's raising money for the Luthor Children's Hospital. Supergirl has the most sponsors of anyone in the race, which makes sense in that she's a public figure but lacks sense in that there's no way she won't finish the race. Like, honestly, she could lap everyone here 1,000 times before the first person crossed the finish line (which she'd suggested to raise donations, but that idea had been thoroughly, rudely vetoed).
That Lena is the one who agreed to help her pace herself is just a bonus. Lena never takes a Saturday off, so getting to spend extra time with her is also a bonus.
Like, okay, sure, yeah, they live together, but Kara will always take more time with Lena.
"Racers at their mark!"
Kara shifts so her stance better matches Lena's, smiling when Lena's hand 'accidentally' brushes hers.
"Go!"
The pistol fires, and the crowd starts forward.
***
"Well it's another beautiful day for the annual National City Marathon, and we've got some of the best distance runners in the world here with us today. Amy, what do we think of our runners?"
"We have a great turnout this year, and as you know, the full marathon is the final event of the day. We've been enjoying all of the races, and you know I have a soft spot for the little ones and their Bunny Hop 1k. But the marathon is truly the event that shuts the city down. Thousands are out and about today, lining the streets and enjoying the sunshine to watch the racers."
The male host grins. "And I think we know who the most popular racer is this year."
"We absolutely do! National City's favorite superhero, Supergirl! She's running to raise money for the Luthor Children's hospital."
"And sporting what appears to be some super workout gear! A far cry from her more familiar outfit, don't you think?"
"Well, she can't exactly run in the skirt, Matt," Amy laughs. "And although she's still wearing the famous 'S', she's not the only one! Dozens of other runners seem to be channeling their inner Super today as they start the 26.2 mile trek to the finish line…"
***
It's been over an hour, and Kara is starting to get a little restless.
"Can't I just, like, fly the marathon? It's the same thing."
Lena huffs at her, her pace steady and unrelenting. "No, it's not."
"But it's boring," Kara whines.
Lena looks over at her. "Marathons are supposed to be challenging, Supergirl. That's the point of them."
"The only challenge is not running faster!"
Lena smirks, a few flyaway hairs sticking to her face. "That's still a challenge."
Kara groans. She knows she's being a baby about it, she does, but running like a human is harder than she thought. "Augh."
Seeming to take pity on her, Lena's next steps take her closer into Kara's space. "You know, I've heard a runner's high is a potent aphrodisiac," she says casually.
Kara trips and almost falls flat on her face before clumsily recovering. "Oh, uh, really? That's… interesting."
Lena hums in agreement. "I thought so too. I've never had the opportunity to test that theory, though." She looks over at Supergirl slyly. "I'm hoping my girlfriend will be up for it when I get done here. You know Kara pretty well, Supergirl, do you think she'll help me out?"
Kara can feel herself blushing. "Oh, I, uh, I'm sure she will be. For sure. I mean, who wouldn't be, with you all, y'know, like that," she says, using her hand to gesture to all of Lena.
"She usually is," Lena agrees. "Though sometimes, she acts a bit like a pouty child and it ruins the chances of me wanting to let her throw me down and do anything she wants. So I'm really hoping she's got a good attitude today."
Kara gulps. "Right. Wouldn't want that." They run for a few moments in tense silence, before Kara ventures, "Anything like what, exactly...?"
Lena grins, knowing she's already won. "Well, nirmally I don't kiss and tell, but there was this thing she mentioned last week…"
***
"Oh my goodness! It looks like Supergirl has human moments after all! Look at the divot she left in the pavement!"
"Amy, I've never seen a superhero trip before today, I don't think."
"I know I certainly haven't! But she seems to have hopped right back up and is back in the race!"
Matt laughs. "It looks like we weren't the only ones who thought it was funny, her friend looks like she might keel over laughing."
Amy laughs with him. "And that friend is none other than L-Corp's CEO, Lena Luthor, a known acquaintance of our favorite hero. Miss Luthor is Supergirl's biggest sponsor for the race, promising over $2 to the Luthor Children's Hospital- which she already finances. Miss Luthor seems dedicated to doing good in National City."
"She absolutely does, and her friendship with our hero has her becoming a bit of a local favorite herself."
"She's been rather chummy with Supergirl for the race, wouldn't you say?"
"They are friends, Amy. And they're not the only celebrities in this race! One of our favorite on-screen couples is running the race side-by-side to raise money for the Trevor Project, and from what I'm seeing they're making excellent time! Dave Ishael is down on the street. Over to you, Dave!"
***
"I can't believe you fell on your face!" Lena wheezes.
"That was like an hour ago, stop laughing!"
"I'm trying,  but then I remember you fell on your face and it starts up again."
Kara turns her big, blue puppy-dog eyes on Lena and pairs it with her deadliest pout. "Leeenaaaaa…."
Still giggling, Lena reaches out, giving Kara's arm a squeeze. "Alright, alright, I'm sorry."
Kara huffs, bumps her shoulder against Lena's, and grins when Lena laughs again. "What mile are we on?"
Lena's gaze darts around for a moment before she announces, "Eighteen."
Kara fights the urge to groan again. She manages, but only just.
"I know you're bored, love. But when we get home, you're getting so kissed for being a good sport."
Kara lets out a loud bark of laughter. "Miss Luthor, what would your girlfriend think?"
"Of me kissing Supergirl senseless? I have a feeling she'd be into it."
***
"Alright, most of the racers are now at Mile 22, and everyone still seems to be having a blast."
"There have been a few incidents of heat exhaustion and dehydration,  but I'm told those rates are 30% lower than they were just last year, so excellent job, racers! Stay hydrated, stay in the race!"
"And passing Mile Marker 23 are Lena Luthor and Supergirl, who appear to be… racing?"
Amy laughs. "I'm pretty sure we know who's going to win, Matt."
"You would think so, but she seems to be overtaking the Girl of Steel!"
***
"Okay, y'know what? Guilting me into letting you win is not the same as actually winning!" Kara protests as Lena jogs circles around her and shimmies in victory.
"Prove it!"
Kara huffs out a laugh. "You're ridiculous."
"You like it."
"Only a lot," Kara grins, rolling her eyes. Silly Lena is her favorite.
"Good, because- shit!"
Kara whips around in alarm, only just managing to catch her before she drops to the ground, clutching her ankle. "What happened?!"
"I tripped," Lena hisses, clutching her ankle with her face screwed up in pain. "I heard it pop."
Kara's eyes x-ray her ankle quickly, and she breathes a sigh of relief when nothing appears to be broken. "No broken bones."
"Can you set me down?" Kara sets her gingerly onto her feet, but as soon as Lena puts her weight on the ankle in question,  she fairly leaps back into Kara's arms. "Ow ow ow ow, shit fuck, ow."
Kara cradles Lena carefully, adjusting her so she's resting more comfortably against her chest. "Well that's not a good sign."
"I think it's sprained," Lena grits out. "Your x-ray vision wouldn't see it unless you were looking. Shit, damn, and fuck, I really wanted to finish the race..."
"All three, huh?" Kara jokes, receiving only a glare for her troubles. "Okay, let's go, gimpy."
"Go where?"
"We're gonna finish the race!" Kara chirps cheerfully, the 'duh' left unsaid but heavily implied.
"I can't walk, let alone run another three miles."
"Right, which is why I'm gonna carry you." She sets Lena carefully only her good foot, turns her back to her, and squats down. "Hop on!"
"I'm not riding on you." When Kara grins mischievously and opens her mouth to retort, Lena points at her sternly. "Don't. I know what you're about to say, and don't."
"Lena, c'mon. It'll be faster, and you'll still get to finish the race. Heck, it's not like you're too heavy for me."
Lena huffs in annoyance. "You aren't going to take no for an answer, are you?"
"I am not," Kara confirms. "C'mon, hop!"
"Fine. But I warn you that I'm all sweaty. Not all of us are blessed with never sweating."
She hops onto Kara's back, scrabbling for a second before Kara scoops up behind her knees, securing her legs around her waist. "You know I like it when you're sweaty. Rrip zhindif ehvahn vrrahdh bem."
Lena hums, looping her arms around Kara's neck so her hands hang down in front, barely brushing across Kara's chest (maybe a bit more than absolutely necessary). "One day," she whispers, lips brushing the shell of Kara's ear, "you're going to tell me what that means."
"Will I?"
"You will."
Kara starts off at an easy trot, doing her level best to keep from jostling Lena too much. "Miss Luthor, I don't know if you know this, but I'm the Girl of Steel. I'm pretty tough."
"I have ways of making you talk," Lena husks, voice dropping an octave as she stealthily nips Kara's ear, following it with a lick of her tongue.
Kara is proud of herself. She doesn't even drop Lena a little.
***
"It appears that Miss Luthor has been injured and is now being carried to the finish by Supergirl. What a good friend! Not everyone would do that."
"You might even say she's a super good friend," Amy snickers.
"That was terrible, Amy."
"You're just jealous I thought of the joke first. And our last runners are now past the 10 Mile Mark. And among them is a very inspiring young man who is running the race with his younger sister on his back. Tina has their story…"
***
They cross the finish line, grinning- though Supergirl's face is redder than usual and Lena Luthor is noticeably smug. Kara hustles Lena over to the medic station despite her many protests, stating that she's going to go fly a lap around the city to make sure all is well. She's gone in a flash, and moments later Kara Danvers appears looking a bit harried. "You're hurt!"
Lena tips her head up and pulls her into a kiss. "It's just a mild sprain, I'll be fine in a couple weeks."
"You know what that means, right?"
Lena's brow furrows. "I can't say that I do."
"You can't wear heels. You just have to be little. For weeks." Kara's grin is wide.
Lena frowns. "I don't recall that being one of the restrictions-"
"It is," the medic wrapping her foot informs her wryly. "You have to wear a boot for a few weeks, so no heels higher than an inch."
Lena's frown deepens at this. "That really puts a damper on my wardrobe…"
Kara rolls her eyes fondly. "Can I take her home?"
"Absolutely. Supergirl already did an x-ray, so just go see your doctor on Monday if you need any pain medication. Ice, rest, and elevation are your new best friends for the next several days, alright?"
Lena huffs, and Kara smiles at the medic. "Thank you. I'll make sure she behaves."
The medic's lips quirk up at the corner. "I'm sure. Oh, and Miss Luthor, before you go, I have something unprofessional to ask of you."
Lena eyes the man warily. "Alright…?"
He digs into his pants pocket, and Kara tenses imperceptibly until her produces a pen and paper, holding them out to Lena with a hopeful expression. "My niece thinks you're the coolest person ever, and it would make me the coolest uncle ever if I could get your autograph for her?"
Lena blinks. "You want my autograph?"
"Well, I mean if you don't mind. You'd be doing me a solid, though. I love that little nerd, and this would make her whole week. She wants to be an engineer when she grows up. You're kinda her hero."
Lena ducks her head, smiling shyly, and accepts the pad and paper. "What's her name?"
"Maddie. She's 13."
Lena scrawls her name and a short message neatly onto the paper before handing it back. "Tell your niece I said hello."
"Will do, Miss Luthor. You both have a great night!"
"You too!" Kara says with a grin, helping Lena as she balances on her newly-acquired crutches.
They start off to where Frank is waiting with the car.
"This was a fun day," Kara decides, head tipped up to the sky as the meander through the dwindling crowd.
"Speak for yourself," Lena mutters, swinging her crutch at Kara's leg half-heartedly. "I have to limp around for weeks."
"That's what you get for smug happy-dancing."
Lena turns to Kara with her biggest sad eyes. "My leg hurts."
And, on cue, Kara melts immediately. "I know, sweetheart. Want me to carry you?"
Lena nods, still pouting adorably,  and Kara scoops her up easily into a bridal carry, noting that Lena suddenly seems much less sad. "You just wanted to be carried."
Lena ducks forward, pressing a kiss to the underside of her jaw. "I only ever want to be carried home by you."
Kara pretends to ponder this before meeting Lena's lips with her own in a chaste kiss. "I think I can live with that."
"Good." Suddenly, a thought enters Kara's brain, and the smile on her face is enough to rouse Lena's suspicion. "What?"
"Are your legs tired?"
Lena's brow furrows. "I mean, yes, why?"
"Because baby, you've been running through my mind all day."
Lena arches a brow, fighting a grin and mostly succeeding. "And just for that bad joke, now you're not getting laid."
"Let's face it, bad jokes are the only reason I do get laid."
"You're an idiot."
"But I'm your idiot, right?"
Lena sighs, setting free the adoring, exasperated loving smile she's been holding back. "Always."

***
You met Kara Danvers through your childhood best friend Alex. You're born on the same year as Alex, goes to the same class as Alex, goes home after school with Alex, does homework with Alex. Both your parents used to tease you that you might as well just stay in the same house, as you're practically attached to the hip. You've lived next to the Danvers for as long as you remember. You were there when Alex yelled at her parents that she doesn't need a sister because she already has you.
For Kara's part, she looks like she doesn't wanna be there too. You smiled and walked up to her. "It's okay, she’ll come around," you said handing her your spare lollipop. "I'm (Y/N). I live next door." Kara with her bright blue eyes smiled at you.
From that day, you've served as a buffer between the two sisters until Alex's angsty teenager phase passed. For Kara, you were her angel. You were always there to subdue Alex's annoyance, and you were patient when Alex loses hers. So it hit Kara extra hard when your parents decided to migrate to Switzerland after high school. You remember her beautiful tear-stained face at the airport on the day of your flight to Switzerland.
"Promise you won't forget me," Kara said while her face is buried in your neck.
"I promise," you kissed the crown of her blonde head.
***
Over the years you kept in touch with both Danvers sisters but distance and jobs kept those interactions few and far apart. You just moved back to the States and was able to track down Kara's address. It was only a little over 7 PM when you found yourself knocking at Kara's door. You were a little surprised when a tall man opened the door.
"Hi, I'm looking for Kara Danvers. Is this her apartment?" You asked. Before the man can answer, Kara, yanked the door fully opened. You and the tall man instantly looked at the hinges. Kara was gaping at you, then she's gathering you in her arms just like old times.
"Kara, can't breathe," you said. She lets you go instantly.
"Alex! Look who's here!" Kara nearly shouted at her sister while dragging you deeper into her apartment. You noticed there's a number of people in the room. You smiled at them before you looked at Alex.
"Hey Alex," you said before Alex is wrapping you in another Danvers hug.
Kara introduced you as the 'Original' Superfriend, Alex's other sister. Apparently, you caught them before they start their game night.
***
"So which one of these beautiful people are you dating, Danvers?" You asked Alex casually while you caught up to her getting herself another beer in the kitchen. She just laughed at you. Deflecting. You turned back to the group playing monopoly.
"If I still know you, I would say," you paused for dramatic effect. "Sam?"
Alex choked on her beer. You smirked at her before patting her back. After Alex calmed down you looked back at the group, and subtly eyed Lena Luthor. Ever since you've been introduced at the beginning of the night, all you can think about is how green her eyes are, how smooth her hands are, and how smart she is. Of course, you know who she is, she's phenomenal; making great strides in the field of science and technology at 25.
"Earth to (Y/N)," Alex said smirking at you. "Off-limits, that's Kara's best friend," she continued.
You just rolled your eyes. "I don't know what you're talking about," you denied before getting your beer and walking back to the game. Kara smiled when you sat behind her, scooting backward so she can touch you. You think nothing of it, Kara's has always been touchy. Unbeknownst to you, Lena was watching you too.
***
Moving back home is tedious. Unpacking all your stuff to your new apartment is exhausting. Kara offered to help you but she's Supergirl now; she's got bigger fish to fry than your moving boxes, her super speed would have been great though. It was already 2PM when your body protested and demanded some food. So you decided to head to the nearest restaurant near your place to grab lunch.
There's virtually no one else in the restaurant when you arrived. That's why you easily spotted Lena tucked away in the corner booth at the back. You thought it'll be weird not to at least say hello, so you gathered up all your courage and walk up to her table. She looked up, and immediately you thank the gods for the foresight to put on a decent outfit of denim jeans, your old university shirt and black combat boots. Your brain short-circuited the moment her forest green eyes met yours.
She smiled instantly. "Hello, Ms. (Y/L/N)," she greeted formally. You cringed a little bit.
"Just (Y/N) please. I didn't mean to interrupt but I just wanted to say hi. I saw you when I came in and I thought it won't be polite to just pretend I didn't see you," you paused your rumbling because Lena suddenly started giggling. Then she started fully laughing. You didn't mind her laughing at your expense, you found at that moment you'd do anything to make her laugh all the time. When she calmed down a little, she gestured for you to take a sit and you did.
"I'm sorry, I wasn't laughing at you. Alex said you're practically her first sister, I guess the rambling was passed on to you too," Lena explained. You smiled at her.
"I guess," you shrugged. You ended up having lunch with Lena that day, and the same day next week, and the same day the next, and the next. You deemed Wednesday is Lena day.
***
It was Wednesday when Kara found out that you've been hanging out alone with Lena. She was on patrol and passing by L-Corp when she heard your heartbeat next to Lena's. She landed on the balcony of L-Corp with the grandiose of a superhero; confident walk, cape and hair billowing in the wind. When she entered Lena's office she had to control herself from shooting heat vision on Lena's hand that's resting on your knee. She frowned at how close Lena was sitting next to you.
"How long have you two been hanging out?" Kara asked hands on her hips. It's adorable.
"A couple of weeks, (Y/N) and I bumped into each other at Noonan's," Lena explained. Kara wasn't appeased, she made some small talk and excused herself. You thought nothing of it, Lena wonders how oblivious can you be. That night, Kara found herself knocking at Alex's door at 2 in the morning. Her annoyance dissipated as quickly as it came when she saw Kara drunk.
"What happened to you?" She asked, ushering her sister to the couch. When Kara was safely seated, Alex walked to her kitchen to get her sister a bottle of water.
"For someone so smart, how can she not know how I feel about her?" Kara slurred. "Why can't she see me, Alex?"
Alex sat next to her sister and wrapped her up in a hug. "I think it's time you tell Lena how you feel," Alex said softly. Kara sat up at that, frustration visibly rolling off her, "yeah, I'll tell Lena that (Y/N) is mine!"
Alex doubled over at that. "Wait. What?" She exclaimed. Then it dawned on Alex, it wasn't Lena they're talking about; its (Y/N). Of course, she's aware that Kara harbored a crush on you since you were young but she thought Kara outgrew it with distance and time. She's also not blind, you're her best friend after all; she knows you like Lena Luthor.
She sighed. This is a mess.
***
For the next couple of days, Kara was adamant about ignoring you and Lena but she still has to hold game night. So instead of texting you about the details, you were surprised when you arrive home and you got a dozen lilies, a box of donut and a tray of Eliza's famous pasta with a note from Kara. You smiled, she's not mad at you. You pulled out your phone to text her while putting the lilies in a vase.
[Y/N]: You don’t have to dare me to love you, silly. I do, I always have.
[Y/N]: Tell Eliza thanks for the food. See you, tonight.
Kara almost heat visioned her phone in happiness when she read your texts. Take that Lena, she thought. She feels bad about fighting Lena over you but she loves you for so long just to let Lena get you that easily.
Kara was in a good mood when Alex arrived at her apartment. Her mood instantly dropped when you arrived with Lena though. You greeted everyone and walked directly to Kara.
“What’s with the pout Kar?” you said after kissing her cheeks. Her pout turned into a full-blown frown when she looked pass you and caught Lena staring. You’re walking towards the couch and was about to sit between Alex and Lena when Kara literally flew to the couch and tag you down to sit next to her.
“Sit next to me, (Y/N),” she said. You laughed because the love seat is cramp, so you have to put both your legs on Kara’s. You really don’t mind, growing up with both Danvers’ sister you’ve been in tighter spaces with both of them. Lena watches and quietly seethes with jealousy.
Sam leaned next to Alex, “are you sure, we’re not to intervene babe?” she asked.
“Nope, they’re all adults; they’ll figure it out. Besides, if I intervene I risk being partial to one of them and we can’t have that. (Y/N) is the honorary middle Danvers child, Kara is our youngest, and Lena is my friend. I must remain neutral on this one,” Alex explained softly to Sam.
After much ruckus from the group, game night proceeded without a hitch. Kara instantly claimed you as her partner. Leaving Lena to partner with Eve. Lena decided that she’s not going to sit by and let Kara think she can claim you without a fight. Suffice to say, Lena destroyed everyone at their own games. Kara was not happy.
“No fair! One more game of poker!” Kara exclaimed. Everyone just laughs. The way Lena looks at you make you cross your legs tighter together. She turned back to Kara, “Okay Kara but if I win, I want a prize,” she said with a confident smirk in her face.
“Name it!” Kara said, jutting her chin up.
“If I win, (Y/N)’s mine,” Lena said simply. Everyone fell silent. Oh no, Alex thought.
“Ok but if I win she’s mine,” Kara said defiantly. You watch both of them closely; you’re sure you’re missing something there. You’re about to protest when you hear Lena agreed.
***
When the game began, everyone seems to be holding their breath. Alex was bouncing her leg in anticipation. Lena is the perfect image of a poker player. Kara looks like she will smash the table if she loses. In the end, Lena’s hand won. Kara abruptly stood from the table and stormed off towards her balcony and promptly flew away. Everyone was looking where Kara exited.
“Well, that was the most intense game of poker I’ve seen to stake a claim on a woman,” Querl said.
You whipped you’re head towards him. “What?” you exclaimed, mouth gaping at him.
“Okay, I think it’s late. We should all head out,” James said. Without question, everyone filed out including Lena. When Alex went back to the living room, you’re still standing where she left you. You look at her when she rounded your peripheral.
“Did you know?” You asked her. Alex gave you a dead-panned look.
“Since when?” You asked.
“Since when do I know or since when did Kara have feelings for you?” Alex asked. She ushered you back to Kara’s couch.
“Tell me you never had feelings for her?” Alex asked next. Alex is your best friend, the older sister you never had; you can never lie to her.
You heaved a sigh, “I had a crush on her when she first came to our life. How can I not? She’s adorable and soft even after the destruction of her whole planet. She’s smart, I still haven't forgotten how she solved that particularly difficult calculus homework we had in high school, and we’re already supposed to be smart. She’s patient and caring; she took care of us when we injure ourselves playing rough on the field. She brings us lunch when she knows we might forget because we’re busy cramming for finals. I love her ever since we were kids Alex,” you paused. Tears already welling in your eyes.
Alex held your hand just like she used to. “But she’s also been my baby sister for as long as she’s been yours. Over the years, I just figured it’s better to have her as my sister. This way, I never have to risk losing her. Alex I don’t want to hurt her.” You continued, crying on Alex’s shoulder.
She ran her hand over your hair. “But you have to,” Alex said simply. In your heart of hearts you know she’s right. Unknown to you and Alex, Kara was just outside the window listening to your conversation.
***
You found Kara by the cliff over-looking National City a few days after the debacle at game night. You haven’t spoken to Lena either. For her part, she hasn’t reached out to you too. Kara didn’t even have to turn around when you parked behind her on the cliff.
“Kar,” you whispered. You know she can hear you. She fought the shiver that runs through her body when you breathe her name like that.
“I heard everything,” she said without looking at you. For a second you were confused, then it dawned on you that she heard your conversation with Alex.
“I’m sorry,” is all you can really say. She turned around and walked towards you. You were toe-to-toe when she spoke, “Me too. I should have told you a long time ago.” She tucked a stray hair behind your ear.
“I just need to do one last thing,” she said. Her hand coming to your face. Before you realize what was happening. She’s kissing you. You know you should push her away but you decided to give her this. She kissed you with all the feelings she buried inside. She leaned her forehead against yours after she pulls away.
“I love you so much, (Y/N),” she whispered before flying away.
“I love you too, alien girl” you know she will hear you. She smiled, it’s been a while since you called her that.
***
A few weeks after your encounter with Kara on the cliff, the Danvers sisters were having lunch but Kara can tell something is wrong. Alex is nervously bouncing her leg on the table, her heartbeat is elevated, and she’s been staring at the menu for the last ten minutes. Kara took the menu and placed an order for Alex. When the waiter walked away, Kara looked at her sister.
“What’s wrong?” she asked simply. Alex nibbled on her bottom lip. When she met Kara’s eyes, she knew she couldn’t lie.
“(Y/N) is going back to Switzerland. She’s probably on the way to the airport now,” Alex said in one go.
“What? Why?” Kara asked.
“Because she can’t be with Lena knowing that she’s hurting you,” Alex explained. Lena, Kara thought. After meeting with you on the cliff, Lena and Kara talked too. They both agreed that the decision has to be yours and that they’ll remain best friends no matter what.
“I have to tell Lena,” Kara said already exiting the restaurant. Not a minute later, Supergirl was barging in on Lena’s office.
“Kara, what’s wrong?” Lena said, already rounding her table to meet Kara.
“Lena, (Y/N) is leaving! She’s flying back to Switzerland,” Kara hurriedly explained.
Even though Lena loathes flying, she reckons flying with Kara is the fastest way to reach you. When they arrived at the airport, you’re already collecting your things for boarding. When you saw Lena and Kara coming towards you, you’re confused. They’re both not supposed to know.
Kara walked towards you first, “you don’t have to leave. You can be with Lena.” You’re shaking your head. She held your hand. “I know you think you can’t because of me, and I’m not going to lie it still aches but there’s no one else I’d rather have you than Lena. I can sleep peacefully knowing my sister and my best friend has each other. I love you both so much to stand in the way of both your happiness,” she declared sincerely.
You hugged her as tight as you possibly could. “But if you hurt Lena, sister or not, I’ll throw you to the sun,” she threatened. You chuckled wetly.
She let you go and started walking to Lena. “I love you both so much, Lena. So I’ll tell you what I told her if you hurt her I’ll throw you to the sun,” Kara said before pulling Lena in a hug. She then proceeded to bounce out of the airport.
“Did she threaten to throw you in the sun too?” Lena asked.
“Yup,” you said before linking your hand on Lena’s. She looked at your joined hands before looking up at your eyes.
“Do you still wanna go to Switzerland? I have a private plane we can use,” she said. Of course, she does. You laughed before leaning in and capturing her red lips.
“I’ll go anywhere with you,” you said after you pulled away.

lena and kara dancing (nice waltz or something) and kara accidentally starts floating while holding lena from nervousness
Supergirl isn’t supposed to bid. She’s there to be bid on– in the name of charity. But while her contribution is a photo-op and a Super special personalized voicemail for the winner’s phone, Lena’s is a dance of the winner’s choosing, to be redeemed at the closing of the auction.
It’s better than selling a kiss, or– Rao forbid– an actual date, but Kara’s tongue dries with each consecutive bid. She knows from watching her best friend all night that the persistent bidder is the handsy Silicon Valley transplant Lena’s been trying to avoid for hours, and the way Lena’s facade of good sportsmanship ebbs with every bidder who drops out.
Soon, the creep– drunk as well, to add insult to Lena’s imminent injury– is nearly salivating with his prize so close at hand.
“Going once, going twice–”
“Ten thousand dollars!”
Oh, Rao. Kara outbids by thousands, a lifeline if anyone’s heard one. But the auctioneer slams his gavel down sharply. “And sold! To the woman the red cape! The bidding is now closed, thank you all for your contributions!”
Maybe it’s just Kara, but the auctioneer seems relieved to award the dance to Supergirl. Kara isn’t complaining. She’s relieved too. “Would the winning bidders please come forward to claim your tickets, please, thank you.”
Kara approaches the table in long strides, steadfastly ignoring the rude gesture offered by the jilted bidder. Lena makes a beeline for her as soon as she descends the stage, sweeping into her arms with a relieved smile.
“Thank you,” she releases in a single breath. “Thank you, thank you, thank you.”
Kara can’t quite manage to hide her grin. The dance floor clears around them as the orchestra starts up a slow waltz. “Well,” she says, trying to look anywhere but the bare skin of Lena’s neck, “damsels in distress are kind of my thing.”
She freezes, panic sending a deep flush creeping up her neck. “I didn’t mean–”
“Don’t worry,” Lena promises with a low chuckle. “Your secret is safe with me.”
The assurance does nothing to abate the sudden heat in Kara’s cheeks. She reaches for the next available topic.
“You look beautiful tonight.” No! “Not that you don’t usually– that’s not even what tonight is about– I mean, it’s not what I first noticed–” Shit.
Despite her fumblings, Lena’s smile only grows. “I may be more than a pretty face, but I still enjoy a compliment. Especially from a pretty girl.”
Kara’s mouth opens and closes soundlessly before she can muster a response. “Uhhhh…”
“Did you do something different with your hair?” Now Lena’s eyes glint with mischief, and Kara realizes she’s being teased.
She relaxes with a huff. “No,” she grins.
“Doesn’t it get in your way when you’re superheroing?” Lena’s fingers trail through the ends thoughtfully. “Why not pull it back? I hear battle braids are all the rage.”
Kara shrugs. “It’s not pulled as often as you might think.”
“Shame.”
A cough of surprise explodes out of Kara, and turns into a bright laugh. Lena joins in, and this time, it’s her cheeks that turn pink.
“I’m sorry,” she says, “You’ve just saved me from the world’s worst dance, and here I am teasing you.”
“Oh, that’s all right. I don’t mind the occasional tease,” Kara informs her. Her chest feels warm, and light. She can’t stop staring at the way the lights sparkle in Lena’s eyes. “Especially from a pretty girl.”
The pretty pink in Lena’s cheeks floods to a deep red. Their eyes meet and suddenly the world seems to still around them. Kara almost doesn’t notice, until Lena’s brow furrows.
“Why is it suddenly so quiet– oh!” Lena grabs her tightly, eyes squeezing shut at the eight feet between them and the ground. “Oh… wow. Okay.”
“Sorry!” Kara says quickly, immediately reversing their direction. “Let me–”
“Wait.”
Lena pries her eyes open, and looks down at the people below. Cameras flash, and Kara waits for Lena to give her direction. “You know…” Lena says slowly. “Rumor has it that a guard slips Lex copies of the National Times every week.”
Kara takes in the devilish glint in Lena’s eyes; it’s a look she’s very much starting to enjoy. “Well then… what do you say we give them a show?”
She firms her grip on Lena’s waist, but waits for Lena to nod. She does.
As the music resumes, Supergirl sweeps Lena Luthor around the dance floor, ten feet above it. She starts slow, but gets creative when Lena starts to relax against her. When she bends her partner back for their first dip, Lena yelps, then bursts into laughter. After that, Kara spins Lena around until their back to front, and Lena’s giggling all the while. When Kara spins her out, she immediately follows, completely safe, but the split moment their hands part gives the illusion that Lena twirls in defiance of gravity.
She chases Lena’s smile, her laughter, until the song ends and applause pulls them back down to Earth.
Lena rewards her with a kiss to the cheek, then stands back to applaud her with the rest. Kara takes an awkward bow.
“Thank you, Supergirl,” she murmurs, before the mayor has a chance to sweep her away. “You really were my hero tonight.”
“It was a pleasure to be of service,” Kara replies, with more confidence than she feels under Lena’s soft gaze. Her knees feel wobbly, and her stomach rolls giddily. “I hope we get the chance to do it again.”
Lena smiles, lingering despite the bodies jostling for her attention. Just as she turns, Kara catches hold of her hand once more. “Oh! Um…”
“L-Corp will pay the bid,” Lena promises with a conspiratorial wink.
Then she’s gone, swept up in a crowd of press and bigwigs. Kara turns to find her own impatient bidder, phone in hand.
“Right. Sorry.” She shakes herself from the lingering thrall. “Let’s do this.”
The next morning, Lena enters her office exhausted yet satisfied. The charity could be counted a success, even if a large portion of the donations originated from L-Corp. She’d have rather just donated the funds outright, but her public relations team had promised the auction would help soften her image– help her seem more… relatable. Personable.
It was by sheer luck she’d escaped the night without needing to press charges for assault.
Sheer luck and Supergirl.
The thought of the hero pulls Lena’s gaze to the balcony. It’s devoid of caped figures, but she does spot a cup of coffee anchoring a fluttering newspaper to her balcony rail. She steps out into the morning breeze to collect the cup, and holds the paper up to the light.
Her own laughing face graces the front page, mirrored by Supergirl’s broad grin. While Lena’s eyes are squeezed shut in delight in the photo, the hero gazes at her with an expression that a far, far cry from the revulsion Lena still half-expects to see.
The headline reads: Super & Luthor Go Toe to Toe-- For Charity.
Lena grins when she reads the handwritten note in the margin. “Wish we could see his face when he sees this.”
Accompanying it is a fairly good recreation of an angry face emoji, complete with steam billowing from its ears. A smaller, simpler smiley accompanies the sign-off.

SUPERGIRL RANT 13
I know I said I wouldn’t be making SG rants anymore… Maybe I shouldn’t even comment since I haven’t been watching SG. But I’ve been seeing story progression because I keep looking for Katie McGrath’s awesomeness on social media….
Correct me if I’m wrong but Lena basically hides Sam/Reign away in order to figure out how to cure her and then Kara finds out that she has Kryptonite and basically freaks the fuck out. I maybe missing some details…. Feel free to add/correct/change my way of thinking but I don’t blame Lena for not telling SG that she had Kryptonite.
People are saying that she should have told SG that she had kryptonite but then why should she? If it’s because she’s been saved by SG, then I’d have to argue that she’s saved SG/the world too.
Lena saved everyone from the Medusa virus, helped them make the lead bomb against the Daxamites, agreed to marry Mon to save the Children’s hospital,  she even tried to save SG when her mom threw that sonic box thing on her, hell killed her boyfriend to save SG… point is, Lena has done a lot of good. Yet SG still doubts her just because she didn’t tell her about the Kryptonite?
Lena’s right about the God complex.
Unless season 1 is no longer canon, did SG forget what red Kryptonite did to her? If the argument is that she was afraid that Lena might accidentally have created unstable/red kryptonite, then yes I understand her anger but I think SG was just pissed that Lena has Kryptonite.
I mean SG didn’t exactly go around dispelling lead from the Earth when she found out that Mon El was allergic so the issue I feel like has to do with her mortality and a little bit of trust but I can’t really blame Lena for trying to make more Kryptonite after she saw how unstoppable Reign is and how powerless the DEO and SG have been against Reign.
I feel like Lena probably would have no problem telling Kara about the Kryptonite. Maybe if it weren’t for the Sam/Reign thing she would have said something to Kara about her breakthrough. She already knows she can trust Kara but SG is different.
Yes, SG saved her life. But SG tries to save everyone. The Supers after all, are against killing. So to Lena, SG saving everyone is just something she does.
Lena doesn’t have that same special connection to SG as she does with Kara so the trust isn’t as strong. I mean, it clearly isn’t since SG basically hinted to Lena that the only reason she’s even put in extra effort with her is because of Kara. The words “Kara Danvers believes in you” kind of implies that SG is just looking out for Lena because she trusts Kara and that doesn’t necessarily mean that she trusts Lena.
Besides, SG never told her that she’s working with the DEO (even after Lena killed Jack) or that the DEO even existed so I don’t see why Lena, who was arrested by the police for circumstantial evidence, would tell a secret faction of the Government that A) she knows they exist and B) that she has the ability to create Kryptonite.
Like I said before, I don’t believe Kyrptonite is an illegal substance to have so legally, Lena has no obligation to tell the DEO she knows how to make it.
Harboring a fugitive is illegal, but it’s not like she was helping her destroy the world. She locked Reign up, which is what the DEO would have done in the first place, but Sam is innocent in all this and Sam gave Lena permission to fix her.
Maybe Lena was worried about SG’s God complex, worried that SG wouldn’t listen about splitting Sam and Reign up because SG would take it personally since Reign can kick her ass.
Maybe Lena was just genuinely concerned that the Government would just try to kill or imprison Reign and not waste their efforts because to Lena’s knowledge (due to Kara not telling Lena about her being SG), Agents of DEO and SG don’t have a personal connection to Sam so they wouldn’t even try to save her friend.
Anyway, if SG trusted Lena then she should have just talked to her about it instead of basically blowing up at her, making her feel likes she’s just as bad as the other Luthors, and asking Guardian, who SG knows is her boyfriend, to go and spy on her.
It feels like she was just being petty. I mean, she could have asked J’onn or Alex to go instead or even herself. But no, it seems like she wanted to really hurt Lena.
I always said that the writers can’t separate SG from Kara and apparently I’m right.
It’s not fair for SG to expect that Lena would trust her so much when she hasn’t even bestowed that courtesy toward Lena, especially as Kara. She’s let her into her circle yet Lena had been the only one who didn’t know she’s SG. And yes, Sam doesn’t know either but Sam doesn’t really count because she just met her and was just shoehorned in the group this season in order to create this drama that doesn’t even really fit in with S2 characterization of Kara, who even after seeing the video of Lena having Kryptonite still believed her friend was innocent.
And damn Kara, Lena saved Alex’s life. If that isn’t enough to earn your trust for you to tell her you’re SG, then you should have never tried to be her friend. She shared some personal stuff with you and you know the girl has a hard time trusting people because everyone hates her for something her family did.
Kara’s just lucky no one found out that her parents created Medusa. I’m pretty sure aliens that have family who died from that virus would be hating on her too. I’m also sure that humans wouldn’t be too keen on calling SG their hero if they knew the Daxamites attacked because she wouldn’t give up her boyfriend the Daxamite Prince of three months!
Even after freaking Lena killed the so called love of her life for you Kara, you couldn’t make the same sacrifice?
Does Lena know all these secrets SG/Kara? I think not…
I think Lena only knows that Kara is Mon El’s boyfriend but I don’t remember Rhea telling her that this could have all been avoided if Supergirl just let her take her son home... I could be wrong so someone refresh my memory.
So I don’t think Kara or Supergirl has the right to be so harsh with Lena because she herself, both as SG and Kara has secrets she isn’t comfortable sharing. Unless Lena knows that Kara is SG then she wouldn’t know all the shitnannigans happened because of Kara… But as far as we know, Lena does not know.
As far as we know, Lena is a person who has done a lot of good. The way they’ve set up her character is that she’s a bleeding heart who tries so hard to undo the damage her family has done. The only difference between her and SG is that she relies on her smarts to get things done while SG relies on her Kryptonian genes.
This version of Kara is a hypocrite. She’s selfish and rash but the thing is, she’s weak and cannot back up her actions. She always has to ask for help and another thing I hate about these versions of the Supers is that they’re basically asking for blind trust. And that may have worked before, but now things like Red K can be made so I think it’s safe to say that Kryptonite should be a substance that’s accessible just in case the Supers go on a rampage.
Correct me if I’m wrong but doesn’t Superman know that Batman has access to Kryptonite yet still works with him?
Even if S1 is no longer canon and Red K is no longer a thing, then what if more Kryptonians come to Earth? Because first of all, unlike other versions of Kryptonians, the Arrowverse Kryptonians aren’t reclusive.
According to Kara, she’s been on like twelve planets or something. You can’t tell me that when Krypton blew up, there weren’t scouts/scientists/military personnel or something that were not in their homeworld... I mean, we know there isn’t until the writers bring them over but for Kara/Clark, they should be prepared for moments like these. It already happened once so it could happen again.
What if there’s not enough Kryptonite? Are people just supposed to depend on the government to save them? National City is in America so the people, even people like Lena, have the right to arm themselves…. and there is a thing called Checks and Balances here in the country SG is seeking refuge in.
It’s honestly unfair for the Supers to expect that the world should just trust that they’ll check and balance themselves.
People don’t know them personally after all...
Point is, the writers clearly haven’t evolved. They’re still tearing down one relationship to build another. They’re hitting as many birds as they can with one stone.
They want SuperCorp shippers to stop, they want to legitimize Lames, but most importantly they want Karamel to re-establish their bond…. So they’re throwing the rock to break the Lena/Kara friendship.
Anyway, with the way this is going I feel like Lena’s completely going to turn dark. Since Supergirl has been given the Sunday slot the show might suffer from some budget cuts and want to up the ante next season so they can ensure a S5 so maybe James will die, leaving Lena brokenhearted and she’ll blame SG then she’ll find out Kara and SG are the same and that’ll completely drive her over to the dark side.
Or, she’ll find out that Kara and SG are the same and then she’ll get mad at James and all of them.
Or, more likely, that Sam is going to sacrifice herself to end Reign (So that Alex can adopt Ruby because apparently, her biological clock just went boom in S3) and Lena’s going to get mad, blame SG, find out that Kara is SG, and then get mad at James for helping SG or something like that…
To sum it up, Lena will be all alone again and she’ll blame SG and that’s why she’ll turn dark.
Of course, all my points will probably rendered irrelevant because in the end, Lena will probably be evil from the get go and the writers will make it seem like Lena's a mastermind and she's been playing Kara from the beginning so that the audience can't get mad at Kara for treating her 'friend' like crap because she was right and Lena is a villain like all the Luthors.

Triwizard hogwarts/supergirl AU
So this is my first supergirl AU story... hope you like it :D written for @kassebaum ‘s HP SG halloween blog party!
---
“And the champion for Hogwarts is…” Dumbledore drew a deep breath, “KARA DANVERS!”
An enormous cheer erupted from the yellow and black table as proud Hufflepuffs jumped to their feet and screamed their approval of their star quidditch player, chanting “Hufflepuff! Hufflepuff!”
Polite clapping sounded from the other tables around the room, hiding the disappointment of the other wannabe champions of the British school. The exception was a green clad Slytherin girl who started whooping and hollering from her seat amidst the emerald and silver colours, ignoring the indifferent looks from her fellow housemates.
“I didn’t know your sister had entered?” Lena spoke over the cheering as she reached for her morning pumpkin juice around the exuberant Alex Danvers sitting next to her.
”Yea we entered at the same time late last night. If it couldn’t be me, I’m glad it’s her. Danvers sisters represent!” Alex shouted the last part and pumped her fist into the air, smiling as her eyes met those of her sister currently being hoisted into the air by a number of burly Hufflepuffs.
“What’s that?” Lena’s sharp eyes noticed the anomaly before Alex and the majority of the other students, too distracted by the announcement of the Hogwart’s champion to see the strange goings on at the teacher’s top table.
“Hmm?” A distracted Alex answered.
“The goblet is only supposed to announce the champions isn’t it?”
“Yea, why?”
“Well Dumbledore’s announced them all now… Fleur, Victor and Kara…”
“So…” Alex had no idea what Lena was trying to get at, and was busy claiming the last pancake from the stack in front of her.
“So… Why did it just spit out another piece of parchment..?”
Alex turned her gaze to the front, and Dumbledore, who was looking oddly confused at a fourth piece of paper in his hands.
“Can I please have everyone’s attention!” His magically enhanced voice rose over the clamour and celebration until all the noise eventually died out.
“Harry Potter… Harry Potter? Harry Potter!”
Silence swept over the great hall as Harry Potter stood up and made his way over to Dumbledore. He silently took the scorched parchment from the headmaster’s hand and walked towards the door Albus had indicated. As soon as it swung shut the hall began to buzz.
“He must have cheated… He’s not even 17 yet!” Alex exclaimed to Lena.
“I don’t see how… The Goblet of Fire is an exceptionally powerful magical object, only an exceptionally powerful Confundus charm could have hoodwinked it. Magic way beyond the talents of a 4th year…” Lena contemplated, her brows frowning quizzically.
“What are you saying? Boy wonder was set up?” Alex asked in disbelief.
Lena shrugged “He has a history of clashing with dark wizards… Maybe it was one of those who followed my brother before he was imprisoned?” She spoke the last part quietly, still ashamed of being associated with the Luthor name, even though there were those among her house who were proud of the fact that they were at school with someone of such illustrious dark heritage.
Lena leaned forwards to grab a slice of toast and as she did so spotted Kara making her way towards the same door behind the teacher’s table. The newly appointed champion turned round to pump her fist in the air once more towards her fellow Hufflepuffs, she then turned towards the Slytherin table and waved. Lena looked around quickly but Alex wasn’t paying attention, was Kara waving at her? She smiled shyly and waved back, her stomach flipped strangely when Kara beamed at her.
One week after the announcement, Lena was walking through the corridors of the school, books on rare spells and ancient runes stacked high in her arms as the 7th yr made her way back to the Slytherin dorm for an intense study session with Alex. As she turned a corner, a blonde blur crashed straight into her. Books and parchment went flying and Lena herself nearly hit the floor but found herself suddenly wrapped safely in a pair of strong and very toned arms.
“I’m so sorry! I’m late to the wand weighing and I didn’t see you, but I shouldn’t have been running, and I hit you and knocked all your books! Let me help you with those…” the girl babbled.
“That’s OK…” Lena started but as her gaze reached the eyes of the other student she lost her train of thought. All that she could think of was just how close she was to Kara Danvers… She had never really noticed how beautiful the other girl was before…  She had just thought of her as Alex’s kid sister (even though she was only in the year below)…
“Oh I’m sorry…” Kara suddenly realised she was still holding tight to the Luthor heiress “Let me help you” And swiftly stood her back up, reluctantly removing her hands from around the other woman’s waist in order to start picking up the scattered books, “I’m such a klutz!” She blushed as she dropped a book from the top of the now teetering pile in her hands. She grabbed the last couple and held them out to Lena.
“Thank you…” Lena spoke and smiled, taking the book pile, unsure of what else to say around the adorable blonde.
“OK then! Well I have to go… See you around Lena!” And with that Kara sprinted off, attempting to hide her furious blushing, not realising that the Slytherin was blushing twice as hard...

Ok, so I’m a huge nerd and figured Kara’s metabolism is toofast for the weed to have any affect on her, so I modified this a bit. Hope youlike it just the same :)
p.s. bonus points if you can spot the parks and recreference (come on, I couldn’t let this opportunity pass me by!)
Here’s the link if you wanna read it on AO3: http://archiveofourown.org/works/10159067/chapters/22708448
Kara didn’t know why she put on the suit. It’s not like shecould exactly use her powers after she solar flared in her attempts to destroyCadmus’ new army of cyborgs, but she needed to not be Kara Danvers right now.She needed to be a symbol of hope, of strength, not for the sake of the public, but rather for herself. So, she put on the suit, went outside, and just startedwalking.
It seemed like she had been wandering the streets for hourswhen she looked up and noticed where she was. Somehow, she found herself at thefoot of the infamous L-corp building, and she couldn’t help but laugh at theirony of the situation. Here she was, standing outside the building that LenaLuthor owned, when her mother was the cause of all of Kara’s problems in thefirst place. But Kara knew that Lena was nothing like her mother. UnlikeLillian, Lena was trying to make a positive difference in the world, to reversethe impact of her brother’s actions. Lena was the furthest thing from evil.Lena was… well, Kara didn’t really know exactly what Lena was, just that shetrusted her, and she was a good friend, although lately, she had begun to feellike something more.
So, when she looked up and saw that the lights in Lena’soffice were on, she walked right on into the mostly empty building, up theelevator, and when she got to Lena’s floor, she was surprised to be stopped byLena’s secretary, Jess. She was about to remind Jess that Lena had already toldher that she was always welcome to go into her office when she realised thatJess wasn’t seeing Kara Danvers, she was seeing Supergirl, and that realisationmade Jess’ bewildered expression make a whole lot more sense.
“Uh- you- you have to wait while I- while I tell Ms. Luthoryou’re here. S-sorry. Standard procedure,” Jess just barely managed to stammerout.
“That’s okay, Jess, I understand,”
“You- you know my name?” asked Jess excitedly.
Realising her mistake, Kara scrambled to come up with anexcuse for why she knew the name of a person she had supposedly never metbefore, but she didn’t have to, because right then, Jess’ phone rang, and shehesitated while reaching for it, but with one look at the understanding smile onKara’s face, she picked up the phone and answered.
Seeing that she had already made Jess so nervous, Karafigured she should do the polite thing, which was to sit and wait for Jess toget in touch with Lena, although somehow, she knew that Lena wouldn’t have aproblem with Supergirl paying her a surprise visit. Besides, it wasn’t like shehad anyplace else to be. She was of no use to the DEO without her powers, andwhile Alex, Winn and J’onn were trying to figure out Cadmus’ next move, she wouldonly be getting in the way. And she didn’t want to go home, where she would bealone with her thoughts, which were currently way too overwhelming for her todeal with, so this was pretty much the only place she felt comfortable being atthe moment.
“Um… Ms. Supergirl?” Jess said nervously.
“Oh, you can just call me Supergirl. Ms. Supergirl was my mother,”Kara said with a smile.
Jess laughed, and Kara could see the nerves go out of her withthe realisation that Supergirl was, in fact, a total dork, and not just the fierce, celestial being she was made out to be. “Right, well, you can go on ahead up toMs. Luthor’s office. She isn’t picking up her phone right now, which is weirdbecause she usually always does, but I’m sure she wouldn’t mind me making anexception for Supergirl. ”
Kara got up, gave her an appreciative smile, and walked intoLena’s office. However, when she got in, she realised that Lena was not in herusual spot behind her desk, but was out on the balcony, looking out over thecity.
Lena turned around when she heard Supergirl approaching her,and to Kara’s surprise, she was holding something small in her hand, somethingthat looked like a cigarette- no- a joint. She was holding a joint. And fromthe looks of it, she’d been smoking it for a while now.
“Supergirl! What a surprise! To what do I owe the pleasure?” Lena was looking at Kara with a dazedexpression, even as she flashed a cute smile that, for some reason, made Kara’sheart flutter.
“I just- I- is that a joint?”
“Oh, this? Yeah, I was just looking to blow off some steam. It’s been a long day,” Lena tried to focus on Kara, extending the hand that washolding the joint. “You want a pull?”
“Wha- I- pfft- I don’t- I don’t smoke,” Kara spluttered.
“Oh, come on, are you telling me that Supergirl doesn’t needa little something to help her get through her rough days every now and then?”
Kara couldn’t think clearly. All she could see was theform-fitting red dress Lena was wearing that made her green eyes look somehoweven greener than they usually did, and between that and the fact that Lena wassomehow even more charming than usual despite being high, Kara’s heart wasracing a mile a minute.
“I ate a brownie once at a party in college. It was intense. It was kind of indescribable, actually. I felt like I was floating. Turns outthere wasn’t any pot in the brownie. It was just an insanely good brownie.”Kara winced at the absurdity of her story, but Lena just grinned wickedly.
“So… basically, what you’re telling me is that you once atea brownie… in college,”
At this, Kara felt the heat rising in her face as her cheeksturned a bright red.
“I’m just teasing,” Lena smirked, “so, you never did answermy question. What brings you to L-Corp at 2 in the morning? Something on yourmind?”
Kara didn’t know how to answer Lena’s question withoutrevealing the fact that she was essentially powerless because of Lena’s mother, and instead just shook her head.
“It’s nothing.”
Lena, sensing Kara’s hesitation, leaned forward and offeredthe joint once again.
“Here, it’ll take the edge off,” Her expression was solemnand sympathetic, and this time, Kara only hesitated a second before taking thejoint and bringing it up to her mouth.
She paused for a moment before slowly, cautiously taking apull from it, and immediately feeling like her throat was on fire and eruptinginto a coughing fit.
“Yeah, that happens the first time or so. It gets easier, though, trust me. And after a few minutes, it’ll all be worth it.”
So, Kara took another pull, and then another, until thesmoke didn’t burn the back of her throat, and she felt surreal. Over the courseof a few minutes, Kara repeated the process several times until she reallystarted to feel the effects the weed was taking on her.
“Whoa, slow down there, Supergirl, we don’t want everythingto hit you all at once, now, do we?”  Lenawas doing that thing where she widens her eyes, and leans her whole body intoKara, and Kara couldn’t help but stare into her eyes and grab her arm.
“How did they get your eyes so green? I mean, were theyalways this green? They look as green as grass, and- oh! Grass is another- it’sanother word for weed!” Kara wouldn’t stop giggling, and Lena could swear itwas the most beautiful sound in the world. Who knew the girl of steel couldgiggle so much?
“Wow, your office is so big! I’m getting a little dizzy, canwe sit down? And it’s a bit chilly today, do you have any blankets?”
So, Lena led Supergirl over to her couch and pulled theblanket that, until now had lain on the couch as decoration, over the both ofthem.
“There, is that better, Supergirl?” Lena asked, because, ifSupergirl was going to be smoking weed for the first time with Lena Luthor, itwas going to be worth doing again. After all she was one of Lena’s only two friends in National City.
“Yes, much. Although whenever, I get cold, my sister Alexlikes to cuddle with me and- oops! You weren’t supposed to know that! No youweren’t,” And with that, she dissolved into another giggling fit.
It took Lena a second to put two and two together, buthadn’t Kara Danvers told her that her sister’s name was Alex? And, come tothink of it, Kara did look a lot likeSupergirl. Lena tried to keep her cool as she wrapped her arm around Kara andbridged the gap between their bodies under the blanket.
“It’s ok, Kara, your secret’s safe with me.” And she meantit, Kara Danvers had become Lena’s biggest supporter in a world that wasconstantly trying to put her down, and Supergirl did just the same, so Lenawould give up her company before she let any harm come to her friend.
“Hmm, I’m glad I can count on you, Lena,” murmured Kara asshe snuggled up closer to Lena. “Wow, you’re really warm and cozy.”
As she was drifting off to sleep with Kara’s head nestled upon her shoulder, she realised the most surprising thing about the fact thatKara was Supergirl and couldn’t help but wonder, “Wait, does that mean I onlyhave one friend in National City?”
But when she looked around at Kara, she saw that she wasalready fast asleep, and Lena knew that having only one friend in the citywasn’t so bad, because this one friend? She was worth more than any number ofacquaintances Lena could ever have.

supercorp prompt: (and maybe you're already writing something similar, but) drunk Kara turns up at Lenas apartment at 2am and tries to brazenly flirt with Lena the way Lena always flirts with her.
So i merged it with this prompt (not sure who because if it isn’t a tumblr prompt then they all get mixed up sometimes):
I just need a scene with drunk!Kara and drunk!Lena giggling on Kara’s couch and then Kara goes serious for a minute and traces her finger over Lena’s eyebrow scar and looks into her eyes and says you’re so beautiful and then Lena blushes and laughs and then they both pass out on the couch and wake up in the morning spooning
And it turned into this ridiculous mess, so I hope you guys enjoy!! (bonus points if you spot the Star Wars easter egg)
Drunk on You - Eyes Like Kryptonite Ch. 21
Read it on AO3 - http://archiveofourown.org/works/9100903/chapters/21510749
It’s well past 1am when Lena startles awake.
For a moment, she thinks she must have had another nightmare. They don’t happen as often as the used to, but occasionally she still wakes up in the cold sweat terror that only comes from dreaming about Lex trying to kill her. Or more recently from dreaming that Supergirl has fallen out of the sky, but that’s a whole other kind of terror all together.
She doesn’t feel as breathless as when she wakes from a nightmare though, and she vaguely remembers Kara playing a saxophone in her last dream, so she’s almost positive it wasn’t a nightmare that woke her up.
She gropes for her glasses and puts them on, eyes darting around her bedroom, ears straining to find the source of her wake up call.
She nearly jumps out of her skin when she see’s a dark shadow outside her balcony door.
She fumbles for the bracelet on her nightstand, the one Kara had given her for Christmas, so that she can call for help - because surely whatever has made into onto her penthouse balcony at this hour is worthy of superhero intervention. The adrenaline pounds in her veins, causing her hands to shake until they’re practically useless. Another knock sounds at the balcony door and she glances up to see the figure waving.
Her eyes have adjusted somewhat to the dim lighting and she can barely make out-
“Kara?!“
The figure nods enthusiastically, and Lena drops the bracelet back to her nightstand, head sagging in relief.
This woman is going to be the death of her.
She clicks on the beside lamp and rises, hands still shaky as she unlocks the balcony door and pulls Kara inside.
“What are you doing?! You’re still dressed like Kara, someone could see you and blow your cover!”
Kara only grins at her and when she leans in Lena can smell the alien alcohol on her breath.
"Did you go to bed early? From the looks of it, you got your beauty sleep.”
“What?“
“Did it hurt?”
“Did what hurt?”
“When you fell from heaven?“
“Are you drunk?”
“I’m not drunk, I’m intoxicated by your beauty.“
Kara looks so proud of herself that she can’t help but giggle. Her girlfriend is adorable, even if she did show up drunk at her apartment in the middle of the night and scare the crap out of her.
“Do you still have leftover pizza?”
“Yes?” She isn’t sure where this pickup line is going, but judging from the first two, it’s bound to be cheesy.
“Good, I’m starving!“
Kara skips past her into the kitchen, and she’s left wondering when her life turned into this happy mess.
“Starving for a pizza you!” She hears Kara calls back, remembering the punch line despite her momentary distraction.
Lena shakes her head and reaches for her phone to text Alex.
Kara’s here, she’s safe, not sure if anyone saw her flying without the SG costume though.
Alex: Thank god, she just shot out of here mumbling something about you being in Tennessee.
Tennessee?
You’re the only ten I see.
Lena rolls her eyes.
Yeah she seems to have a thing for pick up lines.
Alex: Can you handle her? Or do you need me?
She can hear Kara belting show tunes from the kitchen, and she’s grateful she added extra soundproofing to her apartment.
I think I’ve got it. Make sure nobody saw her flying around?
Alex responds with a thumbs up emoji, and Lena heads to the kitchen to find Kara’s ass sticking out of her refrigerator.
The sun’ll come outTomorrowBet your bottom dollarThat tomorrowThere’ll be sun!
Kara finally turns around, pizza slice in each hand. She’s forced to hum the chorus, because her mouth is full of pizza, and Lena laughs as she pours herself a glass of vodka.
It’s late to be drinking, but she needs to calm her nerves after her wake up scare, and besides, drunk Kara is always more fun when she’s a little tipsy.
When she looks back at Kara, her girlfriend is leaned back against the counter, one of the pizza slices is long gone and the other is being waved in Lena’s direction.
“Do I know you? Because you look like my next girlfriend.”
“I’m your current girlfriend.” She bites back a laugh as Kara’s eyes widen.
“Damn I’m good!”
They migrate to the couch, tossing the cheesiest picking lines they can think of back and forth. Lena is starting to feel the effects of the liquor, and even though the pick up lines are getting worse, she finds herself laughing harder. She can hear the Irish brogue seeping into her voice, a byproduct of years spent at an Irish boarding school. Normally she feels a little self-conscious about it, but the first time Kara heard it she had stammered on about how hot it was, so Lena didn’t try to hide it, enjoying the way the words rolled off of her tongue.
“Is your car battery dead?”
Kara shakes her head, and Lena continues, a giggle bubbling past her lips.
“‘Cause I’d like to jump you!“
Kara guffaws, falling over into Lena’s lap.
“You know what’s really funny?”
“What?“
“I can fly, but I still fell for you!”
Once she finally stops laughing, she looks down at Kara, those bright blue eyes studying her intently, blonde hair whisping around her face where it’s escaped from her braid.
Gentle fingers come up to trace her face, her forehead, her eyebrows, her nose, her cheeks, her lips.
“You’re so beautiful.“
Kara says it with such reverence that she feels her heart twist - there are no words to describe the happiness that washes over her.
"That’s not a pickup line either.”
“No?“
Kara shakes her head.
“Ever since that first day I saw you, I’ve thought you were the most beautiful creature I had ever seen. And I’ve seen the angels off the moons Iego.”
Lena feels the heat rise in her cheeks, and the vodka has her head spinning.
“How did I get so lucky?” she asks, pushing the hair back from Kara’s face, admiring the way her blue eyes are sparkling.
“There’s a line in there somewhere about Lucky Charms and magically delicious, but I’m too drunk to put it together.“
They both lose it then, laughter filling the apartment. When the giggles finally stop, Kara’s face turns serious.
“Actually, do you have any Lucky Charms? I’m hungry again.”

The first thing Lena notices when she wakes up is that her right arm is completely numb. The next thing she notices is the pounding in her head. Her neck is bent at an awkward angle, and Kara’s arms wrapped around her are the only thing keeping her from falling off the couch.
“We’re calling in to work today, right?” Kara’s voice is rough with sleep and if Lena wasn’t so sore she would be really turned on right now.
“It’s Saturday… I think.“
“Oh yeah, I guess it is. Thank Rao!” She feels Kara stretch, and before she can blink she’s off the couch and cradled in Kara’s arms. "Bed?”
“Please.” she mumbles against Kara’s shoulder.
When they’re finally laid out in Lena’s bed and she’s just about to drift off, Kara’s voice whispers in her ear.
“I love my bed but I’d rather be in yours.“
She giggles, despite herself.
“Come on Supergirl, make like a fabric softener and snuggle.”
