Animage February 2024 Issue ft. Masato Yano Interview (translation below)
Publication: January 10, 2024 (between episodes 43-44)
Tumblr media
"It's time to save the universe."
Up until now, Dagded Dujardin has been playing a game of destroying the planets and life that exist in outer space, calling it "tidying up," by making different beings hate and fight each other. The war between humans and Bugnarak that took place on Chikyu was also due to Dagded's actions.
The succeeding Shugoddam kings were destined to serve Dagded, and Gira's former king and brother, Racules Husty, was also at the mercy of Dagded. However, Racules was carrying out an ambitious plan behind the scenes to overthrow the invulnerable Dagded and save the universe.
Gira, who had inherited Dagded's power, would be trained to obtain the power to kill immortals…to achieve this goal, Racules tried to be a king of evil and tyranny. Gira once confronted Racules, who had said, "People are tools. I am the country," and declared that he would become an evil king. With the brothers belief in saving their people, and daring to go down a false and evil path, it can be said that they have the same underlying motivation.
Although he was sentenced to death, Racules decides to now live as a tool for the Royal Sentai in order to defeat the resurrected Dagded. At last, the paths of Gira, the other members of the Royal Sentai, and Racules cross. The battle against Dagded advances into its final phase!
-Did you find it surprising? Thoughts on Suzume-
"Racules's true objective has finally been revealed, but Yano-san, how much knowledge did you have about Racules's secret?"
Yano: During costume fitting, aside from the Bugnarak, I had heard that there was another enemy, the Uchu King, and that Racules had to play the role of a bad king under his instructions, and that there was a spy in the castle so that the Uchu King was always watching him.
"After understanding the gist of his secret, you played out that role starting from episode 1."
Yano: Right. I wasn't told all the details, but I was in a position where I knew alot more than everyone else did. Still, I knew of future developments, and in the beginning, I played the role wondering if I was going to become an enemy or an ally to Gira and the others. Now, I'm trying to soften my demeanor alittle, hoping to present a genuine image of Racules. In episode 42, there's a scene where he acts like a big brother towards Gira for the first time, but from this point on, I think we'll see more scenes where we can feel that those two are brothers.
"Yano-san mentioned it in another interview, but in episode 42, Gira and Racules fighting together for a common cause was achieved."
Yano: That's right! At the time, when I gave that answer, I didn't know that we'd be fighting together, so my ambitions were achieved. However, while a joint struggle is a joint struggle, Gira is overwhelmingly more powerful than him. The power balance is like, Racules: 10, Gira: 90 (laughs). While it's a very dramatic scene that I like, if possible, I feel that I'd like us to fight together with equal strength.
"Is there anything you're mindful of when expressing your current relationship with Gira?"
Yano: I haven't changed anything in particular from before, but I feel that the atmosphere between the two of us has softened considerably. As for Racules, he'll no longer have to play the role of a bad king, and he won't have to oppose Gira.
"Then, have your impressions of Sakai Taisei-san, who plays Gira, changed?"
Yano: I worked together with Sakai-kun on another production before we appeared in King-Ohger, and I think that he's become very strong. Around the first episode, it felt like he had alot of work to do, and that he was doing his best to learn. However, by the time I came back from my early exit, the look in his eyes had changed. I could see from his behavior that his position was to lead others, and that he was starting to look more like a leader.
"In the interview from the previous issue, we heard from Kaku So-san that the speech scene in episode 34, in which Racules was revived, was met with applause on the film set."
Yano: Everyone likes to imitate Racules's self introduction. I think that was the first time in a long time that I announced myself, so they were like, "Whoa, it's really him!" (laughs).
"It's like if during an impersonation show, the actual person appeared (laughs). What do you consider to be important in your dialogue with Kaguragi, who's played by Kaku-san?"
Yano: Kakkun (Kaku-san) has appeared in Taiga dramas, has a well built body, and his line delivery is also impressive. I clash with him seriously, and although Kakkun also responds, I try to be considerate about it. At times like those, I sometimes consult with him and ask, "Would you prefer if I did this way?"
"The scenes with Suzume, Kaguragi's sister and Racules's wife, are impressive for showing a different side to him than usual."
Yano: Racules doesn't often get closely involved with female characters. When a partner is as close to me as Suzume is, there's a part of me that feels embarrassed as Masato Yano. I think that Racules probably has something like that too, so I feel like I'm expressing a mixture of my feelings and Racules's feelings (laughs). In Suzume's case, I was impressed by the line he says to her in episode 42, "Meeting you was the greatest luck of my life." Does Racules trust Suzume? Does he have romantic feelings for her? I wasn't sure about either. When I saw that line in the script, I thought that Racules was quite devoted to Suzume, and that there was an element of true love for her.
"Was it unexpected that Racules had those feelings for Suzume?"
Yano: I think so. I thought that even if he had romantic feelings for her, he wouldn't express them in words, so it felt like an unexpected side to him.
-Joining forces with Gira, whose feelings overlap-
"Do you have any memorable interactions with Imai Yasuhiko-san, the Suit Actor in charge of OhkuwagataOhger?"
Yano: I often consult with Imai-san on the spot about the untransformed action scenes. He's very kind and answers everything I ask. In the second trial by combat scene (episode 20), there's an untransformed action scene with Gira. I worked on it while talking with Imai-san, Action Director Watanabe Jun-san, and Shige-san (Ito Shigeki-san), who plays KuwagataOhger. I also have fond memories of Imai-san using an air blower from the action department to blow air onto my back during filming. It was very hot that day, and because Racules's costume was designed to prevent heat from escaping, it was difficult. The makeup artists and production staff also used large fans to blow air, but the blower Imai-san brought with him made me feel much better and was very helpful.
"It's the kind of wisdom only a Suit Actor can offer."
Yano: Yes. It was my first experience putting an air blower inside my costume (laughs).
"Other than Racules, if you had to name your favorite character, who would it be?"
Yano: That's a tough one……This is going to be a pretty bland answer, but it's Reiniol. Reiniol's (costume) decorations are more dignified and flashy than that of Gira, Racules, and Causus, his father, also played by Nakamura Shido-san. In the wedding scene with Suzume (episode 20), I wore the gorgeous cape that Reiniol wore, but I felt that it was still too early for me (bitter smile). When I get alittle older, I'd like to play a role similar to Reiniol.
"Including filming and events such as the first pitch ceremony, please tell us about any memorable memories you had while working on King-Ohger."
Yano: Kakkun may be older than me, but it was great to stay involved with cast members who were younger than me for an entire year. I haven't had much experience with that, and even when I was in my early 20s, I spent my life as an actor with few opportunities to play student roles and such. It was fun for me to work with younger people on the same production. I think the first pitch you mentioned earlier was something I was able to do because I appeared in King-Ohger. It was very emotional for me to stand on the mound of Seibu Dome (currently Belluna Dome), where I used to go and watch baseball games with my father.
"For Yano-san, this production was a valuable experience."
Yano: Yeah. The fact that I was able to transform into a Sentai hero, and a silver one at that, gives it a special feeling. Actually, in my second or third year of elementary school, I appeared in "Kamen Rider" (Agito, episode 4). At that time, my role was that of a child being killed by the enemy, but now, I'm the one who transforms and protects them from enemies, which is pretty amazing.
"I sense a strange connection. From the episodes so far, which scenes have left the strongest impression on you?"
Yano: It's episode 42, where Gira and Racules fight against Dagded together. Even though he's attacked by Dagded and is about to die from being pierced by the sword, he asks Gira one final question. Since his revival, he hasn't had a chance to properly interact with Gira, so I was acting with the feeling of "do your best" not only to Gira, but also to Sakai-kun.
"In a sense, was it a scene where Racules and Yano-san's feelings for Gira and Sakai-san overlapped?"
Yano: Yeah, that might be it.
"Finally, please tell us about some future highlights."
Yano: The climax is approaching, and every episode until the final episode is full of highlights, but there'll be "break" episodes inbetween. There's a mysterious episode that makes me think, "Is it really okay to have such an exciting episode now?" (laughs). While everyone is playing a certain game, Racules becomes the referee. I feel like he looks more like Masato Yano than Racules (laughs). There was a previous episode (episode 11) that depicted Racules in everyone's imagination. I feel like you can watch it with a similar feeling to that one, so I'd like to mention it as a highlight (laughs). _
Question from Kaku So-san! (Kaguragi Dybowski's Actor)
Q: Why do you think Shugo Mask's mask makes noises, and that he has a raspy voice even though his mouth is sticking out?
I was also surprised when I saw the broadcast (laughs). The Director of that story (Kato Hiroyuki-san) likes comedic elements, so I think that's why he intentionally chose that kind of direction. As for my own theory, it's that the mouth of the mask is actually covered with some kind of transparent screen. There's various types of technology in the world of King-Ohger. Since he's actually speaking through a screen, you can hear the sound of his breathing, and his voice is different than usual……so, what do you think? (laughs). (-Yano)

| the fic no one asked for but i had to write
| warnings: lots of cursing, reader is part of ILUNA
“i’m just going to stand over here alone..” Rosemi states, your character following behind hers “What did you say? your mic is dank as hell.”
Before Rosemi even has a chance to respond, a snowball is thrown directly at your characters face.
You didn’t even have to think to immediately know who it was.
“LUCA!” You scream whilst pressing shift and running over to him and punching his character repeatedly in the face.
With each punch, you say one word.
“eat. my. balls.”
As you were doing this, Aia jumped atop of Luca’s head and her characters body went lip.
“AHAHHAA SHE DIED!!” Luca howls, punching your character.
And behind you both, Vox and Alban are slapping each others butts. Typical NIJI collab, right?
“I need to watch a YouTube tutorial for how to live life.” Kyo’s disembodied, dank mic says whilst running past you.
The only thing you can hear (that actually makes sense) is Luca’s maniacal laughing and telling Fulgur about how Aia died.
“What’s the matter with you, Baby?” Fulgur asks Luca.
“Nothing much, hegh..”
Your character runs up to Luca’s and punches him once.
“Hey girl, sorry we couldn’t skype tonight. but, thats alright,” Luca pauses, punching your character, “see you tomorrow, girl. good night.”
Thats the last thing you hear before your screen fades to black and the first game starts.
The first game is the snowball fight.
You get placed on Red Team, and immediately start bunny-hopping around and throwing snowballs at the other team.
And, eventually, you hit Ike, and right before his mic cuts out you hear,
“FUCK YOU Y/N L/N OF NIJISANJI EN’S-”
You immediately burst out laughing, your model ceasing to move on the bottom right of the screen due to how hard you were laughing.
And as you were laughing, you get hit in the head with a snowball.
You’re not even mad though, it was too funny.
And as this game comes to an end, you’re brought back to life due to your team having won that game.
You’re still laughing as the next game starts, but it starts dying off as you analyze what game it is.
Crusty Rocks.
Within seconds, your character hops from one sinking rock to the same one as Fulgur.
“Hey, Y/N, friends right? You wouldn’t hurt the birthday boy?”
“No, never. Why would you think that?” You say before pushing him off the rocks a few seconds later.
Fulgur, not phased, just tells his chat: “Eh, I didn’t trust her anyways.”
“Anyone who betrays me I will never- AHHHHH-” Rosemi screams as her rock starts sinking down, you immediately start laughing before jumping over to her.
“Hi Rosemi-sama..” You say, punching her character once to greet her, but not push her off.
“Hi Y/N-san… you’re not gonna kill me, right?” She says, sounding slightly worried.
“Of course not, you’re my wifey, Wosemi-sama….”
You say before hitting her character once again, luckily, just before she lands in the ocean, she somehow manages to jump onto a nearby rock.
“EVBEBEHEU PLUCK YOU Y/N!!”
You start laughing maniacally once again, hearing Rosemi keep on saying the word ‘pluck’.
You watch as Nina dies at the last second, having been deserted far away from the others on a single rock that started to sink.
“Oh God, chat. I don’t think I’m going to survive TanTan.” you say, chuckling whilst the next game boots up.
Ike Eveland [NIJISANJI EN] 🔧: i hate you.
Fulgur Ovid [NIJISANJI EN] 🔧: So do I, Ike. So do I.
“Hi Fulgur, Hi Ike.” You say whilst readjusting your headphones. “Sorry for killing you both.” You say before winking and the round starts.
The first thing you hear is Luca’s chuckle as the round starts.
“Alright mate,” He keeps saying in an overdone Aussie accent.
“I actually had a nightmare about TanTan last night,” Vox says to no one directly. However you heard it.
“Please elaborate, Vox.” You say, confused whilst chucking a snowball at TanTan.
You hear Millie screaming in the background as she had not realized you needed to jump over the shock waves TanTan sends in order to survive.
“Well-” Vox starts before he gets hit in the head with a snowball. “You guys are so funny, YOU’RE SO FUCKING FUNNY-” you don’t hear the rest of Vox’s sentence as you had bunny-hopped too far away, hoping he wouldn’t figure out that you were the culprit.
However, you are able to hear when he screeches (screams?? idek know what noise he made) so loud that you’re genuinely surprised his microphone didn’t implode.
It’s only you and Luca left before Luca hits you in the head with a snowball, your body going limp afterward.
“OH YOU MOTHERFUCKER YOU THINK YOU’RE SO FU-”
You mald, aware he can’t hear you anymore.
Ike Eveland [NIJISANJI EN] 🔧: what you get LOL
“Shut up, Ike. Aren’t you streaming anyway? Why do you have mine opened?”
In a matter of seconds, Ike sends another message.
Ike Eveland [NIJISANJI EN] 🔧: not streaming. am i not allowed to support my kouhai?
You’re caught off guard by Luca screaming about how much he loves crab before the screen switches over to the theme music and Luca dancing violently.
As it switches back to the lobby, the first thing you hear is your genmate Kyo saying:
“Y/N should have won.. Luca you have some sort of rich super-power.”
You fake tears and say, “My genmate, Kyo Kaneko, loves me??”
“Don’t push it, bitch.”

PLS as a new stars enjoyer i really wanna know whos who in this 🥹🥹 i kill for family dynamics 🤲🤲
https://www.tumblr.com/39oa/744137614807924736/the-stars-are-like-this-is-39-yo-joe-pavelski
hi anon!!! of course i would be MORE than happy to explain and in fact am about to egregiously overexplain so apologies in advance for that >__< welcome 2 starsblr pls enjoy your stay!!! 💚💚💚
"pavs and sons" → this is our top line that consists of jason robertson (21 / "robo"), roope hintz (24 / some call him "roop", his finnish nickname is "hine"), and joe pavelski (16 / "pavs"). pavs spent over a decade in san jose and was the sharks' captain during essentially their twilight years, and he came to dallas intending to retire (which is likely to happen at the end of this year tbh) but instead revitalized a distinct second phase of his career after being placed on a line with 2124 in 2020-21, unexpectedly becoming stalwart producers for a struggling dallas stars offense (2 words: rick bowness) — robo was only in his first year with the stars and roope's career was not that much older, hence the nickname pavs and sons; although pavs is only an alternate captain because the stars already have a very established, homegrown captain, he is basically treated as our second captain thanks to his age and the vast influence he has over both our young players & the locker room as a whole :') one of his nicknames is also captain america from representing team usa on the intl stage LOL.
rest below the cut:
raising johnny -> our team's ACTUAL baby is 2003-born wyatt johnston (53 / "johnny" but sometimes we use "wyjo" lol), who was in the ohl before the 2022-23 season but managed to impress during training camp and basically forced his way onto the roster (without getting too much into it, 18-19 y/o rookies can play 9 games with the big club before burning a year off their elc, so being from the ohl at his age his only options were basically Be In The NHL Permanently or go back to ontario.) because "HE (WAS) ONLY 19!!!" and there was some uncertainty about whether he'd stay up, pavelski invited him to live at his place with his wife and teenaged-son, and now a second year into his career wyatt is STILL with them because he loves it there so much lol. the stars frequently joke about pavs being his dad/landlord, and we've gotten a ton of fun content like these quest for the stanley cup clips and other interview moments like this, this, and this.
fostering stank(s) -> logan stankoven (11 / "stank" though you will also see "stanks") is our other baby and a very recent addition to our nhl roster; he's from the same draft class as johnny, but spent last season in the whl and therefore was eligible to go to the ahl this year, where he's been cooking up a storm for half the szn. it was pretty inevitable that he'd come up at SOME point, but the perfect opportunity arrived after one of our forwards got injured and he was slotted in on short notice. like johnny, he has basically forced his way onto the team permanently by immediately performing to (and well-beyond) standard :') the fun part is that he stayed with johnny at pavs's house when he first came to dallas, though he's since moved out and found his own place... nevertheless, this was still very sweet because logan & wyatt have GENUINE history from knowing each other half their lives & winning gold for u18 team canada in 2021, and have since picked their immediate chemistry right back up on the stars's 3rd line together. (more on this later!!!)
resident glueguy tydel + otter's son -> u know how every team needs its emotional support 4th liner who is at constant threat of being dumped at trade deadline? ty dellandrea (10 / "delly" but we like "tydel" as well) is our 13oa pick who never really panned out as expected, but he's still crucial to the overall health of the locker room and beloved by many. as a small piece of the Cycle Of Mentorship that the stars subscribe to, pavs is known for basically being a deflection master and a menace in front of the net and has passed on this propensity to a lot of younger stars by doing targeted practice sessions with them, including tydel. anyway delly's lore in general is just INSANEEE because he's at the center of the stars' social fabric in a lot of ways. happily third-wheels along with the wags, gets along with the 279195 canadian slagline who mostly exist outside of any family narratives, is Publicly Liked By Roope which is kind of weird because outside of cellys roop practices jane austen levels of finnish repression, imprinted on johnny hard last year (JOINED HIM ON PAVELSKI FAMILY NIGHTS) (from this devastating webweave), has SOOO much ahl history with otter to the point that otter's baby brother sees ty as part of the family — this is also where otter saying that he and his girlfriend saw ty as their son when he stayed at their apartment during training camp comes from. which is genuinely like Absurd Things to say because jake oettinger (29 / "otter") (as a completely random aside, please look at this gifset of harls wearing otter's shirt) is ONLY 2 YEARS OLDER THAN DELLY. LIKE THE FUCK D'YOU MEAN YOUR SON???
i'm normal. okay
jbenn / "daddy" line dads -> so the stars' real captain is jamie benn (14 / multiple nicknames but "chubbs" is a signature), whoooo is a quite the contentious figure amongst stars fans but as a 2007 draftee is very much a homegrown player and still quite important to the organization. i'm ngl, stars rpf is a VERY small space nowadays in hockey fandom, but ~back in the day~ he and tyler seguin were one of The Big Ships before slowly fading as both fandom figures & stars of the team thanks to age and injury and [waves hand vaguely]. anyway while the top line on the stars has remained *mostly* set since robo was called up, the 2nd & 3rd lines still experience a decent amount of reshuffling, so wyatt is kind of jamie's fixed line son atp but they also played with tydel before we 1:1 swapped some russians and evgenii dadonov (63 / the "DADDY" in question) came in and replaced delly. so now we've had multiple "benn and sons" lines (jamie + wyatt/delly, now jamie + wyatt/logan ❗️), plus essentially a "wyatt and dads" line (wyatt + jamie/daddy) lmfao.
wedge raising harls -> robo's emotional support backup goalie is scott wedgewood (41 / "wedge" or "wedgie"), who as far as backup goalies go is like shockingly well-integrated into the stars' locker room. the piece of lore that inspired this WHOLE post is that taylor dropped an article on how wedge claimed to basically be RAISING HARLS WITH HIS (recently-married!) WIFE...??? which is just. thomas harley (55 / "harls") is one of our resident baby d-men and was in and out of the ahl for a while but has been Officially with the stars since last years' playoffs... he's a very like, self-assured but kind of introverted, Beyond-His-Years type who literally has the voice of a 50 y/o, so it's both DEVASTATING and hilarious 2 me that wedge is like "oh, this 22 y/o kid likes to show up to my house every day and me and my wife are teaching him how to cook and he keeps facetiming me to ask random questions about his bills." LIKE OH... OKAY THEN ;___;
& last but not least: the ultimate Mini Family on this team that i didn't mention in my orig post is actually the finnish mafia — see robo constantly joking about them being brothers and loving each other lol. finnmaf currently includes four players (roope, miro, esa, jani... rip kivo 😔), and they kind of help split the stars' locker room into several groups including the finns, the ontario guys, robo's goaliefucker / Nerd_Collector ensemble, and... well honestly the cliques overlap a lot (which is why our locker room is so healthy!!!) but you get the idea.
there is soooo much other lore i could get into that isn't really related to dad/son/brother narratives but i feel like this is enough of an infodump so i'll stop here for now. in general the way the stars are constructed makes it really clear why they all see one another as family and why there is such a strong & positive & sustainable sense of personal leadership that permeates the locker room... benn handles Official captain duties while pavs uses his experience not to usurp him but simply to further support him in understated areas of mentorship/leadership, and our top line consists of 3 Very unassuming & responsible player archetypes which crucially trickles down to all the other lines. so while many teams have their Old Guys (who are often on a noticeable decline) and Kid Lines, the stars are cool because we've been successful at integrating young players with very established veterans and having them feed off of each other without sacrificing their development or "anchoring" any young talent unnecessarily; benn is really not the player he used to be but he's still been great with wyatt over the past 2 years. and pavs IS a total anomaly, so it's kind of insane & surreal that a guy in his late 30s can perform at such a high level while also taking it upon himself to prepare so many of our young guys to be the present & future of our team *__*
tl;dr: also i just remembered that the amazing @starscelly has a preexisting primer from last year so feel free to check that out too :') (the primary differences are basically that we replaced domi for duchene and recently picked up chris tanev haha)

us! chara my sassy lost child
my own interpretation of underswap:
us! chara:
chara replaces frisk so they're now the 8th fallen child. they retain some key characteristics of their og/ut version though (dislikes humanity, has a soft spot for nicer monsters). i heavily see chara as a sassy, firecracker and trouble making child <3
personally, i think of ut! chara as an entity similar to flowey - they have no soul and can't really "feel" love and compassion. depending on what route you as the player takes, they go along with the ride. their beliefs and goals rely on how much exp/lv you've earned. i think of them as a pretty chill souless kid
us! sans:
im not a fan of infantilizing us! sans (honestly this applies to all "papyrus-types"). like chara, he retains some characteristics of his og version. he likes puns (and loves annoying his younger brother with them), a sciency type, and LOVES greasy food ("sans, for the last time, stop buying grillby's overpriced food"). most noticeable difference with his undertale counterpart is that he's a bit more active & more or less has his shit together a lot more than ut! sans.
you can actually die in his boss fight unlike og papyrus. he's aware of what "capturing humans" entail, & he's not really a fan of the whole killing children thing. but y'know, monsterkind just.. needs one more soul don't they? like og papyrus bossfight, you just need to tire him out before he goes "YOU KNOW WHAT, I CAN'T KILL A KID" & spares you.
(if you die thrice in his bossfight, he'll see your expression & just lets you go. he's unnerved & thinks chara's expression will haunt him for the rest of his life)
he can actually make edible food & is popular with snowdin's residents. he has the qualifications to join the royal guard, he just chooses not to. alphys approves of him and would gladly accept him into the team, but eh - he's content with being an unofficial member.
acquaintances with alphys. you could have considered them friends a.. long time ago, but the past is the past. the best big brother - cares deeply for papyrus and his severe lack of friends. pushes the human to hang out w/ him & papyrus (instead of a date).
us! papyrus:
following the trend of retaining some of the og's traits, papyrus can't cook very well. he's slightly above the category of being capable of burning water. he's talented when it comes to making and constructing puzzles - a great engineer tbh. papyrus still has the racecar bed & has dreams of driving one on the surface.
and for the record, he doesn't smoke - it's a lollipop. he's also anxious and socially awkward - guy's got ZERO friends (okay im exaggerating, he does have at least TWO). nevertheless, he's a loser and i love him; a certified babygirl.
similar to ut's events, paps makes a promise to a man behind the ruins' door to guide the human who passes through, and he intends to keep it. unlike ut! sans who tends to watch over the human from a distance (& occassionally intersects with their journey), papyrus is a bit more involved. he keeps chara company during some sections of snowdin/hotland & likes to keep check on them by calling on the cellphone.
although papyrus is lazier and more easy going than ut! papyrus, he's just as compassionate & kind. during his fight's first phase in genocide, he tries to force the human to give up and rethink their ways. his attacks generally consist of blue attacks - a defense; to push you back. he doesn't like the idea of killing someone (even if that someone happened to be the one who killed your brother and all your friends), but if the human does happen to die - it can't be helped.
if you spare him, you don't get dunked on dw. he'll let you off the fight but doesn't allow you to proceed any further. he'll keep blocking your way — the only way to get past him is to kill him. as a result, his bossfight is a lot easier than ut! sans, but still very difficult. when the second phase happens (you attack him when he spares you), he pulls all stops & tries to full on kill you fr.
on a lighter note, he's bffs with undyne. they construct wild and destructive experiments. BESTIES(tm) IN EVERY UNIVERSE <33
(that's all there is for now.. i have plans for the others but i'll post them in due time)

You peer up at the universe sprinkled overhead, gnawing your lower lip. “I’m not sure I see it.”
The grass of left outfield shifts beneath the blanket as San scoots a little closer to you. Despite the comfortably warm night, the feeling of his body heat mere inches from your side sends prickles across your skin.
“Okay, look,” San says, lifting his arm and pointing to a cluster of stars. “Starts right there, beneath that really bright one, and it goes down left, and then trails around that way, see?”
You force your gaze away from the contour of his arm and attempt to follow as he traces an outline in the heavens. “And you said it’s…”
“A jellyfish,” he says, and you can hear him grinning. “That spot I just traced is the bell, and then the tentacles—”
“—are just there,” you realize, suddenly seeing the constellation. You snort.
“Nice, right?” San snickers. “I actually felt clever making that one. Okay, your turn.”
“Oh, god,” you mutter, smiling and gazing all across the sky. “Okay, um…”
This is exactly what you’d expected when San asked if you wanted to sneak out to the campground’s baseball field and look at stars. Several other young camp staff you’d been sitting with watched you accept his offer with jealousy, and you knew they were picturing a far more romantic, swoonworthy scene. Something it seemed most of the young camp staff would kill for with San—at least, something they’d kill for now.
Choi San has been your camp bestie since the day you met as kids, when you accidentally spilled green Kool-Aid all over him and he retaliated on purpose with his purple Kool-Aid. He wasn’t one of the cooler kids at camp over the years—too dorky, the other kids said. But that worked out perfectly for you, because you were a dork, too.
It was shocking when he turned up one summer a few years ago when you were counselors and he was…cute. Against your better judgment, it awakened something in you—and, apparently, several other counselors, who were suddenly interested in hanging around him. You tried not to let it boost your ego when he barely noticed them, preferring to stick around you, instead. He was still just as dorky, like nothing had changed, and you wanted to keep it that way, so for the sake of your friendship you fought down any feelings that awakened.
Except they like to re-awaken all the time, as you both continue to grow up and he only gets cuter. A constant battle. You’re running out of room to bury your feelings at this point.
“Aaah, wait—um, uh, um…” you sputter, laughing as San begins humming the Jeopardy theme.
You chance a glance over at him, only to look away again sharply when you see him grinning ear-to-ear at you. Your entire face comes to a boil. Panicked, you fling your arm up and point. “There, take a guess.”
You begin scrutinizing that spot desperately for a form that makes sense as San groans. “No fair, that’s where I was going to pick next.”
“Pff, yeah, what were you gonna pick, a….coiled-up snake?” You retort, tossing the snake idea out the window.
“...Noooo,” he says, then pauses. “Okay, kind of. It was going to be one of those fuzzy worm things, so that doesn’t technically count.”
You snort. “Keep dreaming.”
“What’s yours, then, huh, if you’re so clever?”
“You mean you can’t see it?” You ask, faking offense, wracking your brains for ideas.
“Methinks thou doth protest too much,” San says, and you can hear him smirking.
You huff. “Fine, I’ll tell you, spoilsport. It’s one of those, you know…”
You can definitely hear him grinning now. “You know…?”
At last, inspiration strikes. “It’s an ammonite.”
A moment’s pause, and then San asks, “an ammonite?”
“Don’t tell me you don’t know what an ammonite is,” you say, injecting mock horror into your voice. “I remember your dinosaur phase from fourth grade summer too well for that.”
There’s a moment of silence as San scrutinizes the sky.
You smirk the longer he doesn’t reply. “So, you know. An ammonite. Duh.”
“That…” He says, staring at the place you’d pointed out, “…is genius…”
You grin.
“....ly stupid.”
“Hey!” You turn and smack his arm, laughing. “You were going to say it was a fuzzy worm!”
You pointedly ignore how cute his dimples are, the way his eyes crinkle when he smiles. “At least mine wasn’t a fossil.”
“You didn’t make any rules except ‘it can’t be boring like a real constellation’!”
“I’m changing the rules now, no fossils.”
You scrunch your face up into an indignant, scowling pout. “Starting now. Mine counts.”
San rolls his eyes, but a grin tugs at his lips. “So needy. Fine, my turn.”
“And you can’t start from where I just made one,” you remind him.
“Yah, who’s in charge here, anyway?” San complains.
You scoff. “Who said anything about someone being in charge? Besides, you’ve got loads of other stars to work with.”
“But I wanted to work with those stars.”
“Bo-ring.”
“Ah come on, they’re all fake constellations anyw—whoa!”
You both jolt, eyes wide, as the brightest shooting star you’ve ever seen hurtles through the sky above. It’s huge, the tail burning fire from one horizon to the other in a brilliant slash.
As quickly as it comes, it fades, but the spell it casts lingers over you both. Both of you fall quiet, staring up into the stars. Everything comes into focus that you hadn’t been aware of before—the soft chirp of crickets from the nearby woods, the barely-there breeze stirring across your legs, the earthy smell of the baseball diamond. How close Choi San is lying next to you, on this blanket, the two of you in a world all your own.
“That was…amazing,” San breathes.
Your throat is dry. All you can do is nod.
“Did you see that?”
“Yeah.”
“It was huge,” he says, shifting a little on the blanket. “I’ve…I feel like I need to make a wish. Should I make a wish?”
You wish your feelings could just go away. “Nah, not on that one. You kidding? It was way too big for just a wish. That was like…a sign, or something.”
San sounds thoughtful. “A sign of what?”
“Like, anything.” Lying here next to him feels more and more dangerous by the second. You sit up, still staring at the sky. “That’s a sign for anything. Like a big thumbs-up, you know? The universe saying, ‘time to go for it’.”
“Go for what?”
“Whatever’s right in front of you, man,” you say, just rambling at this point. “Got a dream school you’re shooting for? Send in the application. Up for that promotion? Assert yourself. Someone you want to see? Gotta shoot your shot. Life’s too short and shooting stars know about it. Like, you saw that one, it was huge and bright and beautiful and it just fizzled…out…”
You stop talking, mind going blank, when you feel San take your hand, twining your fingers together.
You look down at your hands. He really is holding yours; you aren’t just imagining it. His thumb brushes over the back of yours gently, once, twice, and your entire being feels like a live wire.
He clears his throat in the silence that follows. “I, um, then I guess this is just…me, shooting my shot, then.”
Your gaze trails from his hand up his arm, over his shoulder and neck, settling on his face. He’s staring resolutely up at the sky, like the stars have just started tap-dancing. “I mean, you know, if that’s…cool? Maybe? Since you said the star was a sign and not for wishing…maybe this was a bad idea—”
“You’re shooting your shot with me?”
“Not because I don’t like being friends or anything!” San says quickly. “Honestly I haven’t said anything for a while because I didn’t want you to…I guess I was just worried that…and like, we can totally just be friends, that’s super cool, we can just forget this happened at all—”
“Stop talking.”
He falls silent, and you take the moment to calm the veritable tornado of thoughts and feelings whipping through your head at breakneck speeds.
“I…” You trail off. Where are you even supposed to start? “I’m not…I mean, I like being your friend, too, don’t get me wrong, but like…”
You squeeze his hand. “This is cool.”
Slowly, San sits up next to you. “…It is?”
“Way better than cool,” you blurt, feeling your face start to burn again. “I’m…god, San, I’ve liked you a stupidly long time and I didn’t want to blow it and you’re telling me you’re shooting your shot because of a shooting star?”
“Hey, that thing had to be a comet or something,” San said, a slow smile growing over his face. “Like fate. Or an omen.”
“I was talking out of my ass about that earlier,” you tell him, pulse sputtering frantically at the way he’s looking at you.
“No, I think that was the first non-stupid thing you said all night,” San says decidedly. He lifts your joined hands briefly and presses a kiss to the back of yours before letting them drop to his lap.
Your head feels like it’s spinning. “The ammonite wasn’t stupid.”
“It was stupid,” he says, grinning at you.
You huff, scowl-pouting again. “You’re so mean.”
“I think you like it, though,” he says, squeezing your hand and looking back up at the sky. “Just a little.”
Your face feels like it’s in flames. “...Maybe. A very little bit.”
You both spend the next few minutes smiling rather stupidly at the stars.

Undertale Yellow Genocide Route Tips (From someone who messed up the route and had to retry 3 separate times.)
This took so long to make just because I was stuck on the final fight.
(spoilers, but each section is marked and I will avoid spoiling future fights in the section before.)
General Grinding
Make sure to not grind too early.
Throughout areas, you encounter new monsters. You want to be able to encounter the ones that get you the most EXP. Grinding in the first rooms of the area limits the amount of EXP you gain, and consequently your HP and attack with it.
It's best to fight the mini boss of the area. (Specifically speaking of Decibat and El Bailidor.)
Grind in every area.
I had to restart a run because I thought I didn't have to kill all the robots in the steamworks. Don't be like me and accidentally abort the route in the last place you can possibly abort the route. (It's quite frustrating.)
Be wise with your healing items and think through what you use for each battle carefully.
Ceroba's Fight
Don't panic when you lose some max health, it's only lost during the fight.
First attack always tries to trap you, but it is avoidable if you see it coming. Going to the top middle of the box after the red beams makes everything easily avoidable for this attack.
Second attack is always whirlpool flowers thingy. I find it easiest to dodge that attack by going to the top of the box.
I'm gonna stop counting attacks from here because I don't see the need to describe them all.
I've memorized the pattern for the attack where the flowers circle around and then explode. It goes orange, blue, blue, orange, blue, and orange. The harder version later is the version I don't have memorized.
For the one with the big flower that shoots out small flowers while circling the box, I tend to just look at my soul, which makes it easier to judge the best course of movement, somehow.
The pattern for floating up flowers is blue, orange, blue, orange on the left, blue on the right.
For pillars, the order the spike balls appear in is the order they descend. Knowing that can give the chance to escape the red beam in the middle. All the flowers except the last one to explode on the right are blue.
After that, it cycles between previous attacks until you get Ceroba to under half health
Once she's under half health, Ceroba's attacks increase in difficulty, and you can't touch the edge of the box. That's really it.
Axis' Fight
The biggest advice I have for him is SAVE YOUR HEALING ITEMS.
That doesn't mean don't heal. That means using items that don't heal very much health.
His fight is short. Having healing items that heal less than 30 HP is ideal. (Gravity Granola is a good healer, save those.)
Focusing on attacking isn't necessary for this battle.
Martlet's Fight
Her fight KICKED MY BUTT. I literally just finished the fight ten minutes ago (as of writing this post). So my advice for her isn't the best.
Make sure you have the patch downloaded. It adds a healing action and genuinely made this fight possible for me.
Auto-shoot is ideal to have on so you can focus on dodging.
Try your best to save healing items since there are two phases.
Martlet's attacks are not at all like Sans'. Sans' attacks are more like platformers where you just have to memorize the attack pattern. Martlet, on the other hand, is much more bullet hell styled. Figuring out a general pattern that works for you is the best bet. Because of that, I can't give specific directions of where to go.
Her fight will be rough, but good luck!
Those are the tips I have, so happy suffering!

King-Ohger ep41
Straight to the fight!
Ah the team just working perfectly in silence. You could say it's a form of lazy but it's just right on the edge for me
Kingoh and its characters just blurting shocking truths in flat tones
I'm glad Suzume will be getting focus again
Woah they really be making up the red-purple the past couple weeks
Big sister Rita (^・^)
huh? Transparent remote severed hand choking? Cool??
what did i say about yanma and personal space. he just likes to put his hand on people's friends's shoulders
Will never get tired of hime rita pair fights
Wow I actually, kinda miss the God Kng-Ohger jingle
Jeramie's ringtone!
DX in the show. kudos to brand new strategy of advertising
the giramie crumbs! Jeramie spent that 2 years with Gira and knew how hard Gira push himself and take everything alone
shiokara 👀 a fake? 😧 oh…
Racles's purpose is to drive everyone away so they can talk in private right
the divider that's just the two of them an the jingle melting together
EVIL EVIL not just the big moffun but the medium and small moffun!!
OH callback to even the fake background you sneaky
Hmm why is Racles concerned about the people now?
He has said humans = shugodommites before
He's doing the "abandon the land, save the people" thing?
hnnn no Inferno this time… no music at all
The hold hands is to tell him naive?? NOOOOOOO
They. They are just recreating ep20
hnnn the Debonica parallel
Kagu racles is sailing but at what cost
15 minutes is a standard segment but it feels due for commercial break
new song
IT'S HERE!!!!!
as soon as Dug says 'now i grant you the power to kill the immortal' i already started cheering
yano san your acting. racles your acting!
THE TITLE INSERT
Screams and claps x1000
bro if everyone just went through with Racles's plan humanity would be saved 😭
every country incorporated under shugodom -> humans = shugodommites -> shugodommites get to go to space while Racles deceives Dug for god-killing power. In any of the time point, he can reveal Gira and do the evil king act and the story will still go with his script. Because he KNEW Gira would oppose him no matter what, but HE will be the one who stands before Gira pointing his sword at Dugded.
To undo the effects of Hilbil's brainwashing, do Yanma and Rita have to let Shiokara and Morphonia tickle and burn a few Moffun??
I'm entering the 'Just Enjoy the Last Stretch' phase so I'm not even nervous for next week. Just excited, I don't believe Racles will die, maybe just heavily injured and we may or may not get a whole revealation with Suzume depending on screentime. I'm counting on you Takamina!!
😰 Chatani is directing next week, time to revise Secret of King Racles...
Then if the spin-off says Racles lived on in history as the worst king, and no one is recording this fight, is his name ever cleared? Did he even survive this fight???

Path of Vengence thoughts:
Matty lived! It was really touch and go there for a second but she lived. And now she can go on adventures with her master and his boyfriend. What a lovely family. I really hope we see more of them.
I had been hoping from the start the Mother would be killed be Marda and I got my wish. Very satisfying conclusion. The reveal that the Mother and Oilviah were sister was excellent. I suspected the Mother had a specific bone to pick with the Jedi since the beginning and this explains it.
Speaking of Marda... she did good, but she could move past everything in the end. I guess she's the one responsible for creating the Nihil. She came so close to a breakthrough, but in didn't really take responsibility for her actions. "The Mother made me do terrible things" I mean yes but no. You did a lot of those things on your own Marda. The Path of the Closed Fist speech was 100% all you.
Yana got the happiest end she could have. She gets to roam the galaxy free at last. Maybe she even found a knew girlfriend. Also Shea's daughter is Mari San Tekka!?! And did she create the first Path drive?! So many questions there. The Planet X section were some of the highlights of the book for me. Really great Force weirdness that taught us a ton about what the Nameless are. I think the Protector is gonna come back big time in Phase 3. Especially given Vern has the coordinates now.
All in all an excellent read.

My 1st fully original sans that I made. Honestly I semi updated his lore a few months ago, but I might revamp him later on
I’m gonna be honest this pixel art sucks. I mean it looks alright but I hate it since everything besides the head I traced
Tumblr media
unhinged sans lore:
Unhinged comes from an alt timeline of dusttale where dust sans is suddenly able to pick one person he killed and keep their exp for the next run
He eventually kills himself before his human can, and when he has to choose who to keep exp from he’s able to choose himself, he does this about 8 more times, with every time changing his appearance slowly and permanently, he gets to lv 140, he then kills the human of his timeline and traps their soul in a container and leaves his timeline, making it abandoned.
Atk: 267
Def: 29
Hp: 30.05
Lv:140
Atk 39 (38 per 20lv)
Def 5 (4 per 20lv)
Hp 5.15 (+4.15 per 20lv)
Exp 99999
Atk 190 per 100lv
Def 20 per 100lv
Hp20.75 per 100lv
Exp 499,995
After winning lore:
After he leaves his timeline he enters the dreamtale au and meets nightmare
They fight and unhinged fled after not being able to kill him.
Unhinged then saw ink in a fell au, when unhinged got close ink, ink coincidentally left, so unhinged just slaughtered almost everyone from that timeline.
Then after a while unhinged traveled between some timelines fighting and slaughtering some aus, notable fights being against seraphim (unhinged fled), ultra (ultra fled), hero time trio (only dust escaped), most of glitchtale (slaughtered), and last breath (didn’t even get phase 3 before his head was ripped off). Eventually unhinged came across error who was destroying an au, unhinged attacked error and after a long fight error left thinking unhinged wasn’t worth the effort. After error left and destroyed the au unhinged left to continue slaughtering aus.
After slaughtering about 300 aus unhinged reached lv175.
During the slaughtering of about 300 aus, unhinged came across the other bad sanses fighting them, but they were saved by nightmare or error. Unhinged also came across the star sanses fighting them, and causing them to flee from unhinged.
Eventually unhinged found himself in an anti void. While looking around the place a shadow loomed over him, unhinged attacked behind himself but no one was there, so unhinged just decided to leave, but was stopped by fresh. A scuffle ensues fresh being slightly injured but unhinged being more so. Fresh left after getting bored of the fight.
Unhinged then went on slaughtering some more aus (about 20, becoming lv 176). Eventually unhinged got to nightmare’s castle. Unhinged looked around the place finding the bad sanses having a meeting. Unhinged then immediately tried attacking, being blocked by nightmare, but a brawl ensues (nightmare holding error back from the fight), unhinged got caught by tentacles when he was about to finish off horror and dust. Unhinged was then given 2 options die or join the bad sanses, unhinged after a bit of talking agrees to join. After being let go unhinged was forced to sit through the meeting.
Eventually unhinged has slaughtered about 1000 aus in total (being lv220). And he finally gets bored of it. He then just sits around nightmare’s castle in boredom. He actually tries a lot of hobbies none of them being that good, so he reflects on his life. He only slightly regrets killing papyrus, while everything else he’s fine with. He eventually tries pottery, and actually likes doing it (though his pottery is genuinely terrifying to normal people). Nightmare actually likes the pottery though he does destroy some every now and then so unhinged doesn’t get too happy (nightmare usually blames it on dust, horror, or killer).
Extra Lore:
-both of his mouth can be controlled separately, but he usually only uses his bottom mouth
-if he had to play an instrument he’d play 2 harmonicas at once, one with each mouth
-he actually doesn’t have any dust on his clothes due to constantly moving fast that it flies off before it can fully stick
-he has never actually changed his clothes
-he wears the regular sans outfit with a white shirt under; but with duller colors due to not being in the sun, also with dried blood on his slippers
-he rarely washes his clothes, the only time he does is when blood gets on his jacket or shorts, he usually summons bones in the shape of shorts while they wash; he usually washes his white shirt after his jacket finishes
-he prefers melee combat, using a sharp bone or the real knife and pan; he also uses biters which are blasters that can bite a lv20 monster or human in half
-his blasters have double sided mouths like his head, each mouth firing its own blast
-he has bones, blasters, telekinesis/blue soul, fire magic, spears, tridents, and some extra magic from specific aus
-his eyes are actually constantly changing shape, causing them to look like random scribbles half the time (the red eye lights)
-the exp he has to gain to lv up constantly increases
-his current total exp is around 1,099,989 (I think I did the math right)
-he keeps his human’s soul in a container, he often lets them out just to kill them again and put them back
-when he knows he has an advantage he actually tears off his opponents head and stares into it for awhile while keeping the soul together with telekinesis, though if the enemy went like a second phase he would just tear off their head and be over with it quick
-he is actually smart when out of a fight, though while in a fight he mainly tries to end his opponent as fast as he can
-if he isn’t fighting or making pottery he is usually sleeping or just waiting around for something interesting
-lv220 stats:
Atk: 419
Def: 45
Hp: 46.65
Lv: 220

Alice in Borderland – Last Night in Soho AU
CW: murder, violence, abuse, horror, drugging, poisoning (It's an AU of a horror movie, guys)
(This came to me some time ago and I got so excited by the idea that I made a moodboard and short little snippet for it! The snippet is under the cut. Please read with discretion because it is an AU of a horror movie. But other than that, enjoy!)
“A police officer came by earlier. He asked about you, and about your well-being. A welfare check, he said.”
Arisu lowered his head as his elderly landlord spoke. He should’ve known this would happen—after how he’d been acting, someone was bound to call the police and ask them to check up on the insane graphic design major. He wondered who it was—Chishiya, or Usagi, or Karube and Chota… he wouldn’t have even put it past Niragi, after Arisu nearly stabbed his eye out in the library.
He tried to focus on the record playing in the background—he used to be able to depend on his mother’s records to bring comfort when not even his video games could. Now, though, he couldn’t help thinking about Takeru, the young man with so many dreams that had been exploited and murdered.
He’d been so sure that old man—Aguni, Karube called him—had been the one who did it, who took advantage of Takeru and used him, then killed him when Takeru tried to leave. But he’d been so, horribly wrong, and the innocent man paid the price. Maybe he really was going insane…
“It had me worried,” Danma-san continued. “He told me you’ve been saying a young man died up there in your room.”
Arisu glanced up. The old man’s face was strange. It was solemnly indulgent, like he was a schoolteacher and Arisu was a little elementary school boy he was scolding for pulling a girl’s pigtails. But why?
He tried to control the shaking hands that held his teacup and bent forward into the best bow he could manage. “I-I’m sorry, Danma-san,” he said meekly.
Apologizing didn’t seem like enough—not when Danma-san had been kind enough to rent him his room, put up with his video games and music, and look after him while he slowly unraveled. He wondered if Danma-san had known Takeru. Based on the man’s age now, he would’ve been the same age as Takeru in the 1960s. Maybe he could’ve asked Danma-san and avoided the entire mess he’d made of himself.
“Oh, it’s quite alright, Ryohei-kun.” Danma-san waved his apology away with his hand. “Really. It’s funny, because… you’re not entirely wrong.”
Arisu slowly lifted his head to stare at him in confusion, even as dread began to gnaw at him. What was he talking about…?
“Truth be told,” Danma-san went on, “I hadn’t thought about it that way before, until you brought it up. But I guess it’s true—a young man did die up there. The young me that came to Tokyo all those years ago.”
For a moment, Arisu could only stare dumbly at Danma-san, unable to believe what he’d just heard. The old man stared back at him, looking like he was patiently waiting for him to catch up.
Then Arisu studied his face. And suddenly, time seemed to rewind on Danma-san’s face. He slowly aged backwards—wrinkles disappeared, skin tightened and smoothed out, hair darkened and grew, until the face that stared back at him was…
“Takeru?” he whispered faintly.
How? How was this possible? He watched Takeru die…
But then he remembered what the old man, Aguni, said before he stormed out of the bar. “Why don't you ask Danma what happened to Takeru? He knows exactly what happened. He practically did it himself!”
“I had goals like you,” Danma-san kept speaking. “Dreams, like you. I wanted to be a performer on a big stage. I wanted to act.”
The faces of Takeru and Danma-san started phasing in and out, blending together before Arisu’s eyes. And it suddenly seemed like two voices were coming out of the man’s mouth; Danma-san’s and Takeru’s.
“Being a whore’s a little like being an actor, you could say.” The wry laugh grated on Arisu’s eardrums. “You have to pretend you’re somebody else—that it’s not really you there, being used so thoroughly by all those… animals. It was how I tried to forget them all, and all of their faces. I blanked them out, erased them. I had to, because then, it wasn’t so real.”
All Arisu could do was sit and listen in numb shock. Takeru was alive this whole time—he’d been in this house the whole time, indulging Arisu’s music tastes and reminding him that no visitors were allowed at night and letting him think he was dead. Arisu hadn’t even recognized him. But the eyes—the eyes were identical, the same shade of brown. Except what had formerly been lit up with sparks of enthusiasm and ambition were now bitter and dulled.
“So yes, Ryohei-kun. In a way, you’re right. Takeru did die in that room. He died in that room a hundred times. And then one night, the man who put me there—put me to work,” the word was spat out like something disgusting, “and stole my dreams…”
Visions suddenly flashed before Arisu’s eyes. It was the same scene he’d watched in the mirror, of Takeru struggling on the bed with the knife to his throat. But this time, when the knife was raised in the air and brought down… Takeru caught it. He wrapped his right hand around the blade and looked up. Then Arisu watched as the look of terror on his face slowly melted away to a look of unbridled rage. He yanked the knife out of the hand and stabbed it into the chest.
Danma-san turned his right hand over and rested it on his lap so his palm faced up, and idly ran his other hand over the two long scars there, a knife blade’s width apart. “Well…”
Arisu couldn’t tell what was reality—Danma-san in the living room looking down at his scarred palm with a look of barely-concealed satisfaction, or Takeru in the dark bedroom stabbing his captor over and over and over again, blood spurting all over him.
“I made sure he died.” Danma-san looked up at Arisu with the beginnings of a satisfied smirk on his face. “One hundred times.”
Arisu’s ears began to ring. His heart began to pound wildly with terror.
“And do you know something, Ryo-chan—can I call you Ryo-chan?”
Arisu quickly nodded his head, managing a terrified squeak of, “Y-Yes,”
Danma-san’s smirk became a full smile that looked absolutely terrifying. “It felt so good, Ryo-chan. It felt right.” His face suddenly melted away into Takeru’s, covered in blood and sharing an identical smile. “And then later, when all those assholes came knocking at my door, expecting me to lie back and take it as usual…”
The shrill sound of the doorbell rang painfully in Arisu’s ears, and the shadows of all the men—all the ghosts he’d seen in the library—passed before his eyes, headed for the stairs up to Takeru’s room.
“They made my life even more of a hell. So it was only right that I sent them there.”
Reality melted away again before Arisu’s eyes, replaced by the dark room lit up by red neon lights, illuminating Takeru and his knife as he murdered all the men. He stabbed them in the chests and slashed at their throats, getting his face and his once pristine, flashy clothes coated in even more blood. It was all Arisu could see, all he could feel, it staining his face like he’d been there himself, and all he could smell.
Then he watched as one by one, they were dragged away by Takeru, who ripped open the walls and floors of the house.
Arisu suddenly remembered what Danma-san said the day he moved in. “I hope you won’t mind the smell. I’ve never been able to get it to completely go away.”
He suddenly felt lightheaded and his stomach rolled, threatening to throw up the tea he just drank. He put the bodies in the walls and floors.
And he stayed rooted to the spot in his chair as Takeru did just that, roughly throwing and stuffing the bodies in the walls and floors, then boarding up and replacing the torn out wood and slotting the floorboards back in place.
“I’m sure you’ve seen the newspaper articles on them—you’re smart enough to do your research, Ryo-chan. Did you see they called them ‘missing persons’?” Danma-san gave a terrifying bark of a laugh. “It was actually funny after a while—everyone wondering and worrying about where they’d gone to, when I knew exactly where they’d been. I’ve always thought they were asking the wrong questions. They shouldn’t have wondered where they were, but who they were. But I knew exactly who they were. And I was doing everyone a damn favor.”
And then Takeru was there again, covered head to toe in blood. That look of ambition and determination was back, but it looked wrong—it was twisted, darker, like the determination of a trapped animal to escape its cage.
“I wasn’t going to be used anymore,” he spat at Arisu, gripping his knife. “I wasn’t going to let this fucking place break me.”
A tear slipped down Arisu’s cheek as he looked at Danma Takeru—the young man Arisu had seen as a kindred spirit, someone to admire… maybe even someone who could’ve been his friend. Why did this all have to happen to him? “I’m so sorry…”
Danma-san frowned softly, like he was comforting a little crying child. “Oh, Ryo-chan, why are you apologizing? It’s not your fault.”
“N-No, I… I understand.” He looked imploringly at him. “I know what you’ve been through.”
Something sharpened threateningly in Danma-san’s expression. “Oh, do you now?”
Arisu nodded, hoping he could somehow get the man to believe him. “I do, I—I saw it—”
“Did you?” Danma-san suddenly seemed incredibly dangerous. “And you think because you saw, you understand?”
Arisu wanted to break down in terrified crying. Another frightened tear rolled down his cheek. “I-I’m sorry, I d-didn’t mean to get you in trouble with the police—”
“Oh, don’t worry, Ryo-chan,” Danma-san chuckled, like it was all just one big joke. “The police think you’re insane. And it’s not like you’ll tell anyone.”
His heart pounded even harder in fear and he shook his swimming head wildly. “I-I won’t—I won’t tell anyone, I promise.” He couldn’t help a frightened hiccup. “Please don’t hurt me… I swear I won’t tell anyone.”
“No, no.” Danma-san shook his head. “I know you won’t tell anyone.”
What did he…
His head suddenly felt so heavy. His arms and legs felt weighed down, like his bones had been replaced by lead. Arisu’s eyes lowered, and fell on the teacup he still held in his hands. He looked at the tea, and suddenly remembered what Danma-san said when he handed him the cup.
“Drink up. It’s a special blend.”
His eyes widened in horror, and he made a noise of terror as the teacup slipped out of his hands and fell to the floor. A rushing sound began to fill his ears and his vision swam.
“Don’t worry, Ryo-chan,” he heard Danma-san, or was it Takeru, say as he swayed dangerously on the couch. “I’m not gonna stab you like I did the others. You’re too much of a sweet boy to deserve that. You’re just going to peacefully fall asleep. And everyone will think you just offed yourself—they were worried you were going to do that anyway.” Danma-san looked him over in almost mocking pity as he gripped the couch and made strangled noises as he tried to cough up what he drank. “You poor boy… they really were all very concerned about you. Especially that one with the bleached hair—Chishiya, I think? The one I threw out after you snuck him in on Halloween. He might’ve been the one that requested the welfare check, I think, but the policeman didn’t say. With how he carries himself like a prideful cat, I didn’t expect him to care so much about you.” He looked mockingly moved. “It’s almost romantic.”
Arisu could only whimper in fear as he fought off the urge to close his eyes. He felt like he was going to faint. His vision swam and dark spots appeared. He could feel his grip weakening on the couch cushion. His mind screamed at him to get up, to run, to call Chishiya or Usagi or anyone and get help… but he couldn’t move. His limbs felt too heavy.
“So.” Danma-san smacked his legs before getting up to cross the room and go behind him. “We’re just going to let you make yourself comfortable,” he said lightly, “and lie down. Come on now, Ryo-chan.”
Arisu weakly sobbed and tried to get away from the hand placed on his shoulder. He didn’t want to die… not like this…
“Hey now, shh,” Danma-san, or maybe it was Takeru, shushed. He patted his head and gently pulled him back by his shoulder. “It’s okay. Come on.” Arisu was forced to lie back against stacked pillows, too weak to fight back. “Just lie back… There we go.” He patted Arisu’s head again, stroking his hair. “That’s a good boy. You can just drift off to sleep, listening to that music you love so much.”
Arisu whimpered and looked up. Takeru’s youthful face looked back at him, smiling down at him around the blood splattered over his face. “No more excitement for you tonight, Ryo-chan,” he crooned.
As he looked up at the man he’d dreamed about and grown to care about, Arisu couldn’t keep himself from weakly crying. He didn’t want to die… Especially not at the hands of someone he’d admired for months. It felt like a betrayal, even though Takeru had only ever been a ghost haunting him, never really his friend. He’d always thought of Takeru and seen him as the lively, ambitious, and talented young man—the sort of man Arisu would’ve been overjoyed to have as a friend. Not like this, a jaded, embittered man who had to kill to survive and escape the people who took advantage of him. Had Arisu taken advantage of him too? Was that why he was killing him?
He supposed he was never going to find out.
The rushing in his ears grew louder, slowly drowning out everything, even the music playing from the record player in the corner. It all felt like he was hearing it from underwater. His vision swam even more. His eyes felt so heavy…
And then, through the rushing sound, Arisu heard the doorbell ring. It began to ring over and over, like someone was hurriedly pressing the button. He tried to focus on that, locking in on the sound and training his ears on it. The fog in his mind cleared somewhat, and the muffled sounds became clearer as the ringing doorbell switched to someone began to pound wildly on the door.
“Arisu?!” a voice shouted. “Are you in there?! ARISU!”
Hope weakly lifted its head in Arisu’s chest. Chishiya.

i feel like eiko in a video game would be TERRIFYING . mostly due to how would force the player to play on defense the whole time : because i think there would be only three to four ways that you'd finish the fight .
one ) she kills you , point blank : it's hard to target a boss who's code literally makes it so that she can not take damage for the time she is using her power to attack you .
two ) she lets you go : that's right . i'd say her fight would involve a system of conversation . multiple dialogue options would appear and the player would be able to choose between them with the simple tap of either the numbers on the keyboard , 1 - 4 , or the controls on the back of a controller . the more you have found before during possible quests + easter egg items , the more you know of her story and can reason with her .
three ) she joins you in the fight : a possible outcome to what was mentioned above . this option would only happen though if you have found all the things you need to unlock her full story .
four ) she dies : the longer the fight goes on , the more she will decay . after a full 25 mins of the fight continuing on without the player dying , she would collapse , basically a skeleton . however , in the last 5 mins , the fight would increase in difficulty , mostly because eiko would have lost all sense of control and thought about the situation . so , she would be attacking like a mad animal .
the player would be forced to memorize her movements , especially when to know when to defend themselves or when to dodge . not only that , but would be forced to , quite literally , have eyes and ears on every possible angle , because she could phase through a wall or the floor or attack from above . think of it like the fight against sans in undertale : there's a definite sequence of her moves . she wouldn't be the final boss , but she would be the second to last and a definite taste to what the final boss would be like .

Even in a hypothetical Genocide route Papyrus fight, Papyrus should never stop believing in you.
Keep in mind, I want Papyrus to go fucking ham. I want him to make me bleed. He should be able to obliterate Frisk in seconds and have attack patterns that make Sans look like a chump. It should be a multi phase boss fight that lasts hours and never lets up.
And, in the end, after bringing your health down to nearly nothing with one big unavoidable attack, Papyrus stops. He can't do it.
He still believes in you.
Even after watching you slaughter everything in your path. Kill his friends. Murder his brother. Papyrus still believes in you.
He spares you and you strike him.
Papyrus does not fall. He stands with his arms outstretched, ready to embrace you even with a big gash in the middle of his chest.
He spares you. You strike. Over and over. Again and again. The gash in his chest grows. His health goes into the negatives. He begins to melt.
Papyrus spares you. You strike. The text turns red as Chara emphasizes "Papyrus is sparing you". You can stop. It's over. You don't. The text gets bigger. Chara gets louder. You don't listen.
Papyrus spares you. You reject him. And his head finally severes from his body.
"....WELL, THAT'S NOT WHAT I EXPECTED. I JUST.... I WAS HOPING THAT... WHEN WE WERE FRIENDS... YOU COULD TELL ME WHY."
"BUT STILL... YOU COULD DO A LITTLE BETTER. EVEN IF YOU DON'T THINK SO. I PROMISE."
The game pauses after Papyrus fades away. Chara remarks that he was always their favorite.
