hello there~ i honestly don’t know if you still remember requesting this but here you go! i am so sorry for answering after such a long loooong hiatus. also, i am not really familiar with all the segments for the knowing brothers so i apologize in advance if some of them do not make sense. hope you still enjoy it nevertheless!

taemin scenario: just add jealousy

summary: taemin and reader have been liking each other for quite a while now and promoting as a duo together makes their relationship even more complicated. maybe a sprinkle of jealousy would finally ignite the sparks between them.

taemin plopped down on a seat and loosened the black necktie he was wearing for the knowing brothers recording. he reached over the table to grab a new bottle of water and contently chugged down its contents. the shoot just wrapped up and the cold drink was refreshing especially after participating in a lot of the activities today. he already spent more than a decade doing variety shows but this one made him extra tired. maybe it comes with age? who was he kidding, twenty-seven is not yet considered as old. he can perform and dance for hours and gladly do it again the next day. comparing to that, a tv show guesting should be a piece of cake but why does he feel more than relief to wrap it up earlier than expected.

with a long heavy sigh, taemin tilted his head backward and close his eyes. he knows exactly the reason why he feels exhausted and also annoyed. it was because of his certain senior called kim heechul.

a frown quickly formed across his forehead as the events a while ago replayed on his mind.

exhibit a:

“with your great chemistry on stage, fans keep on speculating if something is going on between you two. is there something we should know?” heechul asked as the cast talks about your debut single.

honestly, you were not that surprised with the question since it was quite a buzz across social media already. the other members of your girl group practically shoved their phones to your face whenever they saw comments regarding your performance. of course, their loud teasing comes next as if they were a package deal of some sort–which you don’t remember purchasing at all.

“no, we’re both just good friends.” you answered confidently with a chuckle. “i think my chemistry with taemin only comes from how much effort and passion we have put in our every performance. seeing such reactions from our audience makes both of us happy since it means that we did something great up there on stage.”

taemin was nodding silently beside you like a cute little puppy dog as he listened to your answer. he was quite proud of how well you handled the question on your own.

“so does that mean you’re still single?” the super junior member continued to ask.

“um… yeah, pretty much.” you laughed as you nod.

“then i can ask you out?” well, that one caught you off guard.

“hey, isn’t that a bit inappropriate?” taemin can’t help but interrupt your conversation.

“why is that?” the older guy snapped back and sounded a bit offended.

“because…” okay, taemin did not really think this through but thanks to his variety show experience, he was able to blurt out an entertaining response. “aren’t you a bit too old for her? wouldn’t that put you to… i don’t know, jail?” the comment earned laughs and more insults from the other members.

“look here, mister! she’s of legal age so what do you mean jail?” heechul stood up from his seat and started to point his index finger towards his junior. "also, don’t you guys think it’s up to y/n to decide?“ he directed his look to you and raised an eyebrow. “so, what do think?” he tried to pull off a flirty look.

“well, they do say age doesn’t matter in love.” you shrugged as you went with the flow.

taemin knew that you’re also good on variety shows especially on how open you are to any situations that were thrown in your way. you always have the best responses and reactions. that is why people from the industry love to invite you over to shoot an episode with them. however, he kind of hoped that you have let go of the idea of flirting back.

exhibit b:

heechul pulled out the empty chair beside him and patted it, indicating for you to sit beside him. you removed the black backpack you were wearing and placed it on top of the desk as you gladly sat down next to him.

“so where should i take you for our first date?” his sudden proposal caused you to scoff and let out an amused laugh.

“well… i do love eating expensive steak in a fancy restaurant where i can wear a beautiful dress that you bought while thinking of me.” you teased with a sweet smile.

“isn’t that too much for a high school student?” he mumbled to himself before reaching out to brush the stray hair on your forehead. “okay, oppa will do it for you.”

you placed both of your hands underneath your cheeks and looked at him cutely. “thank you, oppa!”

“oppa? more like samchon if you ask me.” taemin looked back from his seat in front of you two.

“alright, what the hell is your problem today? did i do something wrong?” heechul replied incredulously with his eyes wide.

“he’s just probably jealous. he wants some steak too.” you playfully stuck your tongue out before pushing taemin’s head so he would look in front once again.

all of you are now playing the whisper challenge and it was yours and heechul’s turn. he was the one guessing and you were the one mouthing out the words. both of you are going at it for a while now and it makes you a bit frustrated on the inside. you can feel the sore throat creeping in as you blatantly repeated the same phrase over and over. he’s great at a lot of games but this one is definitely 100-percent not his forte.

“ah… ah ah, i know it now!” he finally said confidently with his right first up in the air. “i love you…”

his answer made you cover your face and burst out into fits of laughter before waving your hands in front of you indicating that he guessed the phrase wrong.

“i love you!” he repeated with more conviction.

“no, that’s not the word!” you shook your head while giggling.

“yeah, i know that’s not the word. i just want to say it to you.” he nodded before giving you finger hearts which you immediately reciprocate.

both of you are playfully flirting for most of the recording but this one got to be the cheesiness lines you heard today.

taemin was pulled out from his train of thoughts when he heard you snickering loudly from across the room and his head hastily snapped in your direction. there you were, wearing a high school uniform that matches his and he was not going to lie, he was stunned when he saw you wearing it the first time this morning. you look bright and youthful with the red checkered bow around your neck. your high-waisted skirt emphasizes your curves. your pair of black thigh-high socks were the perfect length to make your legs look longer. your hair was pulled up on a half ponytail which he doesn’t usually see on you so it was a sight for him to remember. there was a soft blush on your cheeks and across the bridge of your nose. the gloss on your lips was also mesmerizing as it catches the light every time you speak. that didn’t help at all given the fact that he often caught himself staring at your lips too much lately.

seeing you made him think that if you both met as high school students, he would have undeniably confessed to you in an empty classroom after class. he chuckled at the thought. he was not quite sure if you would have liked him back in high school since he was not confident in himself back then.

his daydreaming was cut short when he realized who you were talking to. it was none other than the kim heechul. he can’t help but observe as the two of you conversed animatedly with each other. he knew that heechul was a funny guy but he’s not that hilarous for you to laugh that hard. while listening to whatever story he has been conjuring, you were pulling your hair up in a quick messy bun since the studio was quite hot with all the lights around.

what happened next almost made taemin fell down from his seat. a scowl immediately appeared on his face as he watched heechul casually wiping the sweat on your nape with his handkerchief. not that taemin was counting but that was the 9th time he flirted with you today and not to mention that it was already after the show.

he bitterly watched as you both bid your goodbyes and now you were walking towards him. he cleared his throat and took another gulp from his water bottle.

“what’s with the long face?” you asked in fluent english as you sat down on the desk in front of him.

“what?” he looked up with a confused face.

“i thought you were taking english classes?” you mocked him–this time in korean. you nonchalantly reach out for his drink and took a sip.

you and taemin knew each other for quite a while now, almost 4 years to be exact. you were on friendly terms with him even before debuting as a duo but after spending these past few months preparing together, you have gotten much closer with him. too close that it became complicated for both of you. it was quite obvious that you two were acting more than friends but no one clearly expressed their feelings yet. the tension between you and him when you were alone became heavier and heavier as the days went by. you always have this urge to bring up the situation you two are in but everytime you were about to speak out, taemin would suddenly open up a conversation about a whole different topic.

“so what were you and heechul-hyung talking about a while ago?” yep, lee taemin always has awful timing.

“he just wanted to make sure that he didn’t make me feel uncomfortable during the recording a while ago.” you shrugged.

“oh, how sweet of him.” taemin scoffed and straighten up from his seat. “he even has to wipe your sweat for you.” he muttured under his breath.

“what was that?” you already heard what he said but it was too faint and you just wanted to make sure.

“nothing.” of course he would deny it. what did you expect?

“so… are you like jealous of heechul or something?” you were only joking, well half-joking. you used this opportunity to slowly open up the topic and to finally know where do you stand in his life.

he held your gaze for a few seconds before crossing his arms across his chest. you were not fully prepared for his serious stare and for what he said next. “and what if i am?”

“huh?” your dumbfounded voice was a couple of notes higher than usual.

“i said,” he leaned forward and looked up to you under his lashes. “what if i am jealous?”

you sat there frozen. you helplessly stared back at his eyes and looked for any signs that he was just fooling around. except it was clear as day, he meant what he said. you always have waited for this. you imagined all the possible scenarios. you even prepared what you would say once this was brought up but why were you speechless now? why do you feel all clammy and nervous? why can’t you calm down your frantic heartbeats?

you took a deep breath and forced yourself to bring back the confidence you once had. “then why don’t you ask me out already so you don’t have to feel threatened with every guy out there.”

“you know what?” he stood up and suddenly he was now towering over you. his scent wrapped all around you and it made you overheat even more. “i might just do that.”

“then i might just say yes.” you crossed your arms and hoped that it can disguise your slight shaking. whether it was from excitement or not, you do not know anymore. everything was happening so fast that you were not sure if you were comprehending them properly. you felt light-headed as you waited in silence.

“so we’re doing this?” his low voice broke the stillness.

“yes!” you responded a little too enthusiastically for your liking. you’re a mess right now, you ain’t denying that.

taemin chuckled softly before discreetly slipping his fingers under yours.

oh, god. you felt a shock and then a shiver from his touch. it was not like it was your first time to have skin-to-skin contact but this one was quite different. you can feel the tension slowly rising along with the heat on your cheeks. you can feel the frustrations that were build up every time you wanted to touch him in a not-so-friendly manner. you were willing to bet your life that he was currently feeling the same as you when you witnessed his eyes dilate and darken.

“look, as much as i want to make out with you right now. we can’t.” he took a step back and put his hands in the pockets of his black slacks.

you felt both relief and disappointment when he widened the distance between you two. you can now catch a breather at last.

“i mean we can’t… here.” he suggestively added before turning away. “i’ll be waiting in my dressing room.”

there goes your breath again.

it took you a minute to recover after hearing his inviting words. you looked around while you fan your warm face with your hands as if it helped with cooling yourself off. you closed your eyes and relaxed yourself for who knows how many times already. you then hopped down the desk and made your way to the place you can’t wait to go to.

if this was what jealousy does to taemin, you absolutely cannot wait to see more of it.

Book 2 Chapter 4: Tomodachi

"Thank you for your hard work!"

We bowed down respectfully, thanking the production crew at the studio and the hosts of the show. We had just finished shooting our variety show episode today, and we had a great time laughing and talking with the cast members.

Momo skipped towards her boyfriend Kim Heechul, who was one of the cast members, and gave him a warm kiss on the lips.

"Momo-ya..." uttered Heechul embarrassedly. His fellow cast members jeered and laughed, poking fun at the two. Heechul's face blushed red, but Momo only smiled cooly, as usual.

"See you later, Oppa!" she said, kissing her boyfriend's cheek, before turning and walking towards us.

Mina chuckled next to me.

"Sometimes I wonder how Momo can be so confident in public," she said with her soft voice in Japanese. I looked at her. "She's confident everywhere, Mina," I replied. Mina nodded and chuckled again.

Momo reached us and fling her arms around our shoulders. We walked arm in arm out of the studio towards the lobby of the building.

"So! What's next? Ansel?" Momo asked excitedly. I nodded. "Mm! He told Mina earlier that he had booked a table at a nice sashimi restaurant in Itaewon," I said. Momo's eyes widened. "Sashimi! Sugoi desu ne?" she exclaimed. Mina giggled. "Hirai-ya! You just had sashimi two weeks ago!" she said. Momo pouted. "It's two weeks ago already, Minari! It's time for another sashimi meal!" she said excitedly.

I laughed. It was nice to spend time with my fellow Japanese sisters every once in a while, talking freely in our mother tongue. We were so used to talking in Korean that I had forgotten some Japanese words, although to be honest it might be just me. Momo and Mina seemed to remember everything, especially Mina who spoke Japanese as eloquently as she spoke any other language.

"How are we gonna get there? It's quite far from here to Itaewon," pondered Mina. "Yeah, the studio only promised us transport from our apartment to here for the shoot. Fucking cheap bastards..." Momo cursed them. Mina was startled. "Language!" she scolded her. The black haired girl chuckled. "No, seriously! How are we gonna get there? Are we supposed to hail a taxi?" she asked again.

I smiled as we exited the lobby, standing in another cold November day. The sun was setting, and the temperature was dropping again. I looked at the two girls.

"Come on, girls! We're Twice! Our new manager should be on his way to pick us up already!" I said.

My words made Momo and Mina remembered.

"Ah yes! Jihyo told us in the group chat! What's his name again?" asked Momo. "Han Minsoo," said Mina. "What do you think he'll look like?" I asked the girls.

Momo shrugged.

"Meh, I don't know... As long as he's competent, I don't mind if he's ugly," she said, taking out a cigarette box out of her bag and lighting up one. She offered the box to Mina and I, who chuckled and refused her. She knew we didn't smoke, but she kept offering us nonetheless.

"Jeongyeon said he's a lifelong Once," said Mina.

Momo inhaled her cigarette and puffed out a smoke cloud before turning to face her.

"Sodesuka?" she asked her, sounding surprised. "I wonder who his bias is," I pondered out loud. Momo and Mina chuckled. "Fuck you! You've got the most fans already!" said Momo, glaring at me. I laughed. "Noo! You two have a lot of fans as well!" I said, deflecting the attention.

Mina smiled and grabbed my hand gently.

"I do think it's you, Sha," she said. "Yeah, who can resist the cute 'Sha-Sha-Sha'," said Momo, mockingly copying my dance part from 'Cheer Up'. I couldn't resist a laugh. "Not even Blackpink's Boyfriend can resist her," said Mina suddenly. Her words shocked me. "Eeh?! We're just friends!" I exclaimed, feeling my face turned red.

Somehow, hearing Mina mention Yeoni made me feel really embarrassed, but I was telling the truth. We were just friends; really close ones, but still just friends, nothing more. I hadn't even kissed his cheek after that early morning encounter in IPG's warehouse more than a year ago, because Jennie and Jisoo were my friends too, and I wanted to respect his relationships with them. I knew I was always flirty and could come across as naughty sometimes, but when it comes to respecting people, I always knew when to behave properly.

Mina laughed and squeezed my arm gently.

"I'm just joking, Sha..." she uttered kindly. "We're really just friends, Mina!" I said, still trying to convince her. "I know, I know!" she said while giggling.

At that moment, we heard the sound of a car approaching. We turned to see the black Hyundai van that I knew belonged to the TWD. It slowed to a stop in front of us, and from the driver's seat, a young man jumped down. He approached us with a nervous smile and bowed low to greet us.

"Annyeonghaseyo, Momo-ssi, Mina-ssi, and Sana-ssi! I'm Han Minsoo, your replacement manager!" he exclaimed loudly, introducing himself.

I chuckled when I saw him. From the get go, I could tell that Minsoo was a nice guy, and I knew that he must be capable, since Suzy-unnie wouldn't pick anyone that wasn't up to her high standards to take care of us. However, he looked so nervous, and I noticed that he kept avoiding eye contact with me. Was I really his bias?

"Nice to meet you, Minsoo-ssi! Let's work together!" I said, extending my arm to shake his.

He was startled to see me do that, and it took him a few seconds to grab my hand and shake it. When he did, his hand was trembling. So it was really me, wasn't it?

"N–Ni-Nice to meet you too, S-Sana-ssi!" he stuttered.

I heard Momo scoffing behind me. I turned to see her throwing her cigarette butt on the ground, before stomping on it to put out the fire.

"Happy to have you on board, Minsoo-ssi!" she said coolly. "Y–Yes, Momo-ssi!" said Minsoo.

Momo smirked and walked towards us. She leaned in to whisper in my ear.

"You're his bias. Confirmed," she whispered. I glared at her jokingly. She chuckled and walked towards the car.

Mina smiled and bowed respectfully.

"Nice to meet you, Minsoo-ssi! Happy to have you as our new manager!" she said elegantly. Minsoo bowed again. "Y–Yes. Nice to meet you too, Mina-ssi! Thank you!" he said. Mina smiled and joined Momo in the car.

Minsoo turned to look at me. I knew he didn't know what to say or do at that moment. That happens sometimes when you meet your idol. I fully understood this and empathized with him, so I decided to help him do what he needed to do that very moment.

"Minsoo-ssi," I called him kindly. "Y–Yes, Sana-ssi?" he said, looking even more nervous now. "My hand," I said with a smile. "Y–Yes?" "My hand, Minsoo-ssi. You need to let it go. I want to go to the car. It's cold," I said, smiling wider.

Minsoo realised that he hadn't released his grip on my hand since the moment we shook hands earlier. His face turned red immediately in embarrassment, and he quickly released my hand, before bowing again to apologize.

"I–I'm sorry, Sana-ssi!" he exclaimed. I chuckled. "Come on. Let's get going! It's really cold!" I said cheerfully, patting him on the back.

I walked towards the car and joined the other two girls inside. They both eyed me and giggled mischievously.

"What?" I asked them, but I felt a smile forming on my lips. "He's starstruck," said Mina, chuckling. "I bet he fapped to your photos and videos countless times," said Momo casually. "Ya! Momo!" I exclaimed, shocked at her remark. Momo only laughed in reply.

Minsoo closed the door on us and jumped to the driver's seat.

"Sorry to keep you waiting! W-Was I late?" he asked us.

"No. But we will be if you don't start driving right now," said Momo. I knew she was teasing him, but Minsoo gulped.

"Y-Yes! Sorry, Momo-ssi!" he said nervously, immediately starting the engine and zooming away.

I chuckled. Momo could come across as mean sometimes, but she never meant any of it. I leaned in forward to calm the poor guy down.

"Don't listen to her, Minsoo-ssi! We still have a lot of time until our appointment. Drive safely, okay?" I told him kindly. Minsoo nodded and smiled nervously, not saying anything.

Thankfully, there weren't any traffic jams on the way to Itaewon that evening. Momo, Mina, and I talked and laughed around happily, not paying attention to the road. I noticed Mina looked more excited than she usually was, giggling every now and then.

"It's been so long since we met Ansel the last time, right?" I said. Momo and Mina nodded. "How long has it been... Four years?" Momo tried to count. "Yeah. We last met him during our tour in Japan," Mina said, smiling.

I chuckled. Ansel was a Japanese-American lawyer, his mom Japanese and his father Black American. He was Mina's schoolmate back in Japan, and I think they connected better as fellow Japanese Americans. She introduced him to Momo and I during our first tour to Japan in 2017, and we quickly became friends, partly because of how charming and fun he was. Everytime we visited Japan, whether for work or on holiday, we would spend time with him to simply eat, have some drinks, sing karaoke, or go to theme parks.

During our tour to Japan four years ago, Ansel told us that he was joining SM Entertainment's legal team, positioned in their branch in Tokyo. We were happy for him, although I thought Mina was a little bit disappointed that her friend joined SM instead of JYPE. Now, four years later, he had become SM's Head of Legal team and was transferred to the headquarters in Seoul, so it was understandable that SM would task him to be the one contacting us regarding the contract proposals.

"I wonder what he looks like now," said Mina ponderously, looking outside the window.

Momo and I exchanged looks and giggled. We knew that she was excited to meet Ansel, as were all of us, but somehow I felt that for Mina, this was something more than just about meeting an old friend.

Momo stared at me, as if asking permission to tease Mina, but I smiled and shook my head. It was best to let the sweet girl get lost in her thoughts without us disturbing her. Momo understood and chuckled, looking outside the window instead. Suddenly, she looked alarmed.

"Hang on... Where are we?" she uttered.

Startled, Mina and I looked out, and I saw that we were on the leftmost lane on the highway. The surroundings looked familiar, and a split second later I realised that we needed to exit the highway soon... Like... Right now. I looked to the right, and saw that we were approaching the exit towards Itaewon fast. Too fast.

"Minsoo-ssi! The exit to Itaewon is on the rig–..." I exclaimed.

Minsoo was startled. He just realised his mistake.

"Eh? E-eh? Oh no!" he exclaimed. He tried to hit the brake and spin right, but the cars behind us honked their horns loudly, forcing Minsoo to stay in the leftmost lane.

"... Nevermind," I said, chuckling. Momo was less forgiving. "I'll report you to Jihyo later," she uttered menacingly. Mina and I glared at her, and Momo chuckled, not meaning any of her words. Gosh! Why was she so mean!

Minsoo was horrified.

"I–I'm sorry! I can't believe I missed the exit! My sincerest apologies, everyone!" he stuttered.

Momo sighed, but when she looked at her watch and saw that we still had some time before our scheduled meeting, she shrugged and chuckled. Mina smiled and leaned forward.

"It's alright, Minsoo-ssi. This highway can be quite confusing sometimes," Mina said kindly, grabbing his shoulder lightly. Minsoo smiled a nervous smile.

"T-Thanks, Mina-ssi," he said. "I'm so sorry. I'll take the next exit!"

Mina smiled and sat back down. I decided to start a conversation with Minsoo to make him less nervous.

"Jeongyeon told us that you're a Once, Minsoo-ssi," I said. Minsoo nodded rapidly. "Y–Yes, Sana-ssi! Been following you guys since Sixteen days," he said proudly.

Gasps left our mouths. Really? He'd been following us that long?

"Wow! Really?" Mina asked him. "How old were you?" "Seventeen," he said. "Oh! You're Dubu's age, then!" I said. He nodded. "Y–yes. You can talk comfortably with me... If you like," he said.

Momo grinned.

"Has Sana been your bias since then, Minsoo-ya?" Momo asked him teasingly. I slapped her arm and she chuckled, but I saw Minsoo's ears went as red as a tomato. "Y–Yes... E–Eh? I didn't say Sana-ssi is my bias!" he said panickedly. I laughed. This guy was so adorable. "We can tell," said Mina softly, smiling.

Minsoo didn't answer, but I saw him smiling sheepishly. I leaned way forward, my face almost by his side now. I felt him trembling, so I grabbed his shoulder to calm him down. Okay, that might be a bad idea, for I felt him shudder even more. I released my grasp and chuckled.

"Am I really your bias, Minsoo?" I asked him sweetly. His face was so red that traffic would stop if they saw it. He gulped before answering. "Y–Yes, Sana-ssi," he finally admitted.

I knew I had the most fans out of the other eight girls already, and I had developed a reputation as Twice's 'Bias Wrecker', but hearing someone admit that I was their favourite member made me happy. I squealed excitedly.

"Kamsahamnida, Minsoo-ya!" I exclaimed cheerfully, before pecking his cheek.

Okay, I might have not thought that last act through, because for a brief moment the car swerved dangerously away from our lane. Minsoo was so shocked by me kissing his cheek that he lost balance of the steering wheel. Cars started honking around us.

I laughed out loud and fell back to my seat. Mina and Momo both slapped me furiously for endangering their lives.

"Fuck you! If we die because of your horniness I'll haunt you in the afterlife for eternity!" exclaimed Momo. "Don't ever do that again, Sha!" Mina scolded me.

I kept laughing loudly, so eventually the two girls started laughing too. Momo glared at the nervous manager, driving carefully now, but from the rearview mirror I could see that he was smiling from ear to ear.

"Minsoo-ya! If you're going to be our manager you need to control your urges!" she barked at him, although she still smiled. "Y–Yes! B–But... It was... Sana-ssi w–who kissed me!" he said, defending himself. We all laughed. "Still! You can't be distracted by our actions!" Momo said, a chuckle left her mouth. "U–Understood, Momo-ssi!"

Mina slapped my head softly again.

"You and your flirtiness," she said. I only shook my head, trying to calm myself down from all the laughing.

Momo stared at Minsoo's back for a few seconds, before grinning mischievously. I somehow knew what she was about to do and glared at her, telling her not to do it, but her mind was set.

"Okay. Let's test it out!" she said. "E-Eh?" Minsoo said fearfully.

The cool girl leaned forward and started kissing Minsoo's cheek slowly and naughtily, but she added something extra by slowly sliding her fingers down his shoulder towards his chest. I saw Minsoo shudder.

"M–M–Momo-ssi..." Minsoo said tremulously.

To my surprise, Minsoo kept his balance, although if he was straight he'd definitely be having a boner right about now. Momo kept kissing his cheek sexily, before creeping down to his neck. Mina interjected.

"Momoring! That's enough. This can be filed under sexual harassment in a workplace already," she said, suddenly sounding serious.

At that moment, I felt my phone vibrating, so I took it out. It was a text message from Minsoo.

'Sana-ssi, I'm already outside. But please take your time!'

I smiled. He was a lifesaver. I looked up towards Ansel.

"Hey, our manager has arrived to pick us up. I think we should go," I said.

Ansel looked disappointed.

"Really? So soon?" he said, but as he looked at his watch and saw that it was already midnight he chuckled. "I guess you're right. He's right on time!"

We stood up, went out, and went down to the first floor. Minsoo was already waiting for us outside by the car. I chuckled seeing the boy freezing in the cold night outside.

"That's your manager?" Ansel asked, sounding doubtful. "Yeah, our replacement manager," Mina said softly. "He's a good boy." "He faps to Sana's pics," said Momo naughtily. I slapped her arm again. "Ya!" I exclaimed. Momo laughed, and Ansel laughed with her. "Oh shit... Does he know that Sana's gay?" Ansel said through his chuckles. "Shh!" I shushed him. "You'll break his heart!"

He laughed again and hugged me.

"Nice seeing you again after a long time, Sha! Thanks for the night!" he said gently. I smiled and hugged back. "I'm the one who should be thanking you! Nice seeing you too, Ansel!" I said. "See you in Singapore!" said Momo, hugging him next.

Momo and I went out of the restaurant, but Mina stayed behind to hug him a little longer. I smiled looking at them. Mina was really in love, I suppose. Ansel kissed her cheek gently, and Mina blushed red, before kissing his cheek too. She left the restaurant looking happy. Minsoo bowed and opened the car door for us.

"Straight back home?" Momo asked me as we entered the car. I nodded, yawning. "Yeah, I think I needed my beauty sleep," I said tiredly. "It's your fault you fooled around with Jeongyeonie and Dubu last night," uttered Mina, chuckling.

I glared at her. Minsoo had just entered the driver's seat and he must have heard what she said, for he paused for a few seconds. Mina realised this and was horrified, but to our surprise, Minsoo only chuckled nervously and started driving.

"I–It's alright... Jeongyeon-ssi told me earlier today when I visited your apartment," he said slowly. "She did what?! She told you that?" I asked him in genuine surprise. "W–Well..." he said, "... I... Had a little accident, i–involving... Some of your... Umm... Toys... In the bedroom. So... She told me."

I was shocked. What accident? More importantly, what accident could have been caused by our sex toys? Suddenly, Momo laughed out loud. Mina and I looked at her in confusion, and she had to calm herself down before speaking.

"Oh so that's the accident Jeongyeonie was talking about!" she exclaimed, before laughing again.

Mina and I stared at her, bewildered for a second, but then I remembered what Jeongyeon said in our group chat earlier today. She told us that Minsoo slipped on a dildo and stumbled into Jihyo, grabbing her tits by accident. Jihyo was annoyed that Jeongyeon told all of us about it, but she was a good sport anyway and even defended Minsoo, saying that it really wasn't his fault.

"Minsoo-ya! Did your hands get wet when you grab Jihyo's tits?" Momo asked him suddenly in a loud voice, before laughing maniacally.

Her question shocked Minsoo so much that he almost hit an oncoming ahjussi riding a motorbike. The ahjussi cursed at him loudly, and we couldn't control our laughter.

"W–What? W–wet? W–What?" Minsoo stuttered panickedly.

Mina slapped Momo's head while laughing, and I had to clasp my hands on my mouth to stop myself from laughing too much. Of course, Minsoo didn't know about Jihyo's body that much. Yet.

In the K-pop industry, it's pretty common to see male idols crossdress as females for fun. But one male idol stands out among all of them and it's none other than Super Junior's Kim Heechul.

Heechul serves as Super Junior's visual, vocalist, and rapper. Thanks to his amazing yet androgynous features, the South Korean pop idol can claim the looks of both a guy and a girl that would often lead many to say, “He is prettier than me.”

Despite knowing his gorgeous visual, Heechul never lets it get to his head and claims that it's all about confidence.

In an episode of “My Ugly Duckling,” he was quoted to say, “In the end, it boils down to confidence. In my opinion, you don't need looks at all.”

Heechul has portrayed many roles as a beautiful woman since making his debut with the legendary K-pop boy group, making it one of his strongest suits in the South Korean entertainment industry.

From Hee-sica (a portmanteau of his name with SNSD's Jessica) to his portrayal as Seo Ye-ji in an advert for a chicken ad, let's take a look at all the times he's dressed as a woman (and became way prettier than most of us) in this gallery:

The most iconic look from Heechul would have to be when he dressed up as Girls' Generation's Jessica Jung. He even called himself “Hee-sica” who made its debut in 2009 when Super Junior became guests at the variety show 'Intimate Note.'

Rokkugo

But prior to the debut of Hee-sica, Heechul already showcased his androgynous look when he crossdressed as a lady in Super Junior-T's music video 'Rokkugo.' In the trot music video, he acted as a girl who had fallen for all the members.

During Super Junior concerts, Heechul and the other members sometimes transform into girls. That's why in their third concert, 'Super Show 3,' Heechul appeared as Lady Gaga and called himself “Lady HeeHee.” He even performed “Pokerface” and “Crazy in Love” with members Shindong, Eunhyuk, and Donghae.

In 'Super Show 5,' Heechul made an appearance as Brown Eyed Girls member Gain and danced to SISTAR's 'Alone.' Just look at that cropped top!

Elsa

Another show-stopping moment for Heechul would have to be when he dressed up as the 'Frozen' character, Elsa in 'Super Show 6' from 2014 to 2015.

Anna

In the following concerts, he chose to dress up as Elsa's sister Anna from the same movie. When asked why the sudden change in costume, he reportedly said that he didn't like girls with heavy makeup and preferred a more natural look like Anna.

Nie Xiaoqian

Heechul boasted his amazing looks by playing the exotic princess Nie Xiaoqian from the popular Chinese movie, 'A Chinese Ghost Story.'

Hee-mi

Whenever he plays his girl counterpart in 'Knowing Brothers,' he always uses the name Hee-mi. Because of his looks, some guests couldn't help but be dazzled by the amazing features Heechul has.

In the 12-episode tvN drama 'Flower Grandpa Investigation Unit,' Heechul played the part of Park Jung-woo, the precinct's golden boy who escapes an aging spell that prohibits him from aging. In one of the episodes, Park Jung-woo disguised himself as a girl for an investigation.

Even without the wig and the makeup, Heechul is known for having a very androgynous look earning him the nickname of being “Prettier than Female.” Because of this, rumors have circulated about his sexuality. When asked why he never denied the gay rumors, he said it's because he believes that it'd be rude to deny it strongly.

The year 2020 has been one of the worst years in recent memory (Covid-19). While silly k-pop scandals don’t compare to the real life issues that happened, I still like to keep track of what went down in the world of k-pop. It’s a little distraction. Of course there have been some serious issues that came to light, like bullying or harassment in the industry, but there were also some disbandments and dating news. Super Junior (슈퍼주니어) - SORRY, SORRY (쏘리 쏘리)

This week’s rec is one of my absolute favourites: Super Junior’s SORRY, SORRY!

Quick ramble before we get into this: when this song released back in 2009, it was the first time I ever listened to a ‘kpop’ song. I’m not even kidding when I say that this song and entire album was a game changer for me. This was my stepping stone into kpop and, consequently, Korean culture and it really does mean a lot for me! Like, bruh can you even believe that March 2021 will mark me down for being a fan of Korean music for over 12 YEARS. This is honestly such a classic kpop song, as well as being one of the most well known in my opinion.

SORRY, SORRY was released March 3rd, 2009 as a digital single before coming the title track of their 3rd studio album of the same name. The song was their comeback as a complete group since their activities as subgroup in Mainland China and South Korea in 2008. It was Super Junior’s most successful single on the music charts and won them a sum total of 10 recognitions throughout their promoting period.

SORRY, SORRY was a new style for Super Junior, a dance song stimulated with heavy electronic beats in the genre known as ‘urban minimal funky’, and unlike their previous releases. It’s a ‘polished and trendy’ dance song, with an exciting beat and earworm chorus, with influences of American funk and contemporary R&B.

This song was an international hit, though not as we may know it today. Rather, it became the best selling k-pop album in Taiwan, Thailand, China and the Philippines, where they credited Sorry, Sorry to have been the first k-pop album to reach number one in the music charts from the country. It was an instant hit, and stayed number one in Taiwan for an astounding 37-weeks in their k-pop singles chart. Sorry, Sorry achieved both national and international success and this has been their best-selling single in South Korea since.

For fans too, who had been waiting for a return of all 13 members, this was an exciting (if not bittersweet) moment for them, as this marked the last time they came together as a full group again before two members, Hangeng and Kibum, left the group.

Outside of South Korea, SORRY, SORRY, was heavily promoted in other Asian communities. Over 51 subway trains in Taipei were covered in Sorry, Sorry advertisements from April 17th through to May 7th, to promote the Taiwanese release which came out on April 17th. Among these trains was one called the Super Junior Train, which was entirely covered with Super Junior posters.

Not only that, but this song had a big cultural impact, the dance having been covered many times not just by idols, but professional sports players as well. In April 2009, volleyball player Kim Yeonkoung from Heungdeuk Life stated if her team won the 2008-09 NH Nonghyup professional volleyball championship, they would perform the routine. They won and performed this at the award ceremony. Football player Kim Seungyong danced to Sorry, Sorry after scoring a goal against Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma in the 2009 K League. Basketball players have danced to it at the Dongbu Promy Professional Basketball season awards ceremony too, an event which marked the end of the season in professional basketball league.

The honour guard of the South Korean Air Force has danced to Sorry, Sorry (alongside Gee by SNSD) ahead of the groundbreaking ceremony of Airforce Museum at Sanjicheon, Jeju City. Employees of Korean Air created a parody group called 직장인 슈퍼주니어 (jikjjangin super junior) which literally translates to Office Workers Super Juniors, and performed the choreography at an in-house concert held at the Korean Air HQ.

Finally, in the Philippines, a video of inmates known as the CPDRC Dancing Inmates, from the Cebu Provinvial Detention and Rehabilitation Centre, dancing to the song went viral after being uploaded to YouTube.

Super Junior was originally a 12-member group formed under SM Entertainment in November 2005. They debuted with their single Twins (Knock Out). They later became a 13-member group when their youngest, Cho Kyuhyun, was added in May 2006, in line with their release U. Known by other nicknames such as SJ or SuJu, Super Junior have been dubbed by the media and the Korean Music Awards as the Kings of the Hallyu Wave due to their prominent contributions in the Korean wave.

With the release of Sorry, Sorry, their best-selling single, they launched into international recognition. Throughout the years of their career, they have been divided into smaller groups, being able to target different music industries and audiences at the same time. The members have all individually branched out into other Entertainment Industry roles such as hosting, presenting and acting. Due to their success and popularity as all-rounded entertainers, they have led other Korean entertainment companies to begin training their groups in other aspects of the entertainment industry, rather than just singing, dancing and rapping.

These other groups included: Super Junior-M, their Chinese sub-unit. Super Junior-T, their Trot sub-unit, Super Junior-H, their ‘Happy’ sub-unit. Two other more recent sub-units are Super Junior K.R.Y - Kyuhyun, Ryeowook and Yesung, their ballad sub-unit, and finally - my personal favourite - Super Junior D&E, comprised of Donghae & Eunhyuk, main dancers and best friends within the group, who cover a myriad of genres in comparison.

Super Junior was the best-selling k-pop artist for four years in a row. They have earned 13 music awards from MAMA, 19 from the Golden Disc Awards, are the second singing group to win Favourite Artist Korea at the 2008 MTV Asia Awards after jtL in 2003. 2012: they were nominated ‘Best Asian Act’ in MTV Europe Music Awards. 2015: they won the ‘International Artist’ and ‘Best Fandom’ awards at the Teen Choice Awards. March 2020, Super Junior broke their own record topping the Korean Album Chart of Taiwan’s KKBOX for a jaw-dropping 122 consecutive weeks since 2017, with their 8th album Play, the 8th album repackage REPLAY in 2018, the 9th album Time_Slip from 2019 and the 9th album repackage Timeless, 2020.

As it stands right now, Super Junior have only 9 active members left in their group. In 2009, Hangeng filed a lawsuit against SM, which saw him stop promoting until he finally left the company in 2011. Kibum also took a step back from the group in 2009, opting to focus more on his acting career through a temporary hiatus. Though he appeared in the MV for Sorry, Sorry, and was featured in promotional adverts for their upcoming concert Super Show 2, he did not attend. His contract ended with SM in 2015. Kangin left in 2019, following another DUI incident.

Though Sungmin has not been classified as left and his contract with SM is still active, he has been on hiatus since 2015.

Super Junior’s fandom name is E.L.F, standing for Everlasting Friend and their fandom colour is Pearl Sapphire Blue.

I don’t listen to their sub-units as often, considering M, T & H are pretty much disbanded at this point.

Scenario - Knowing Bros Episode 200

Anon - can you do a chapter on knowing bros ep 200 with sky and the members. Thank u!!!

I did my best and tried to only get Sky content with the members of course. I hope you like it!

Sky’s P.O.V~

Another episode of Knowing Brothers. The 200th episode to be exact. And what better way to celebrate it by having the members join. Just like the 100th episode, the members are back. All 10 of us and I couldn't be happier.

Today I’m in a different schoolgirl outfit than I usually am for filming because I’ll be on the other side.

All the knowing bro’s cast was wondering where Heechul and I were since we aren't at our seats. They kept yelling our names and Heechul and I decided to walk through the door of where the guest comes in. The cast looks confused, “We’re here as singers today.” I said. “Yeah, We’re not about of Knowing Bro’s today.” Heechul then said after me. The cast kept wanting us to sit down, not liking the sudden change.

“We brought some friends today,” Heechul said.

“Indeed we did. Come out here!” I said and the rest of the Super Junior members came along. I stood back, pushing lightly at the members to all stand at the front. Heechul and I are standing on opposite ends. Us members and the cast all clapped and cheered as we all gathered around the front.

“We’re from “We are Back After 100 Episode″ High. We are Super Juni-” Leeteuk said.

“Or!” All us members said and did our hand poses. Everyone cheered again and I smiled proudly. The Knowing Bros cast tried to copy us, but instead of Super Junior, it was Knowing Brothers, which turned out... not good at all.

“Wow, that was a fail. Glad to say I’m with the members and not the cast.” I said and smiled after everyone laughed.

“It seemed like they made it up,” Leeteuk said.

“I got a shock. It seemed a little rushed” Heechul said after.

Kang Ho Dong then started to explain how amazing the group Super Junior is and how we released a new song called “Super Clap” and are now joining them for their 200th episode. Then Kyuhyun explained how we all came here not knowing it was the 200th episode, we just found out before we started recording.

“I honestly didn't expect this show to reach 200 episodes,” Leeteuk said.

Then Shindong and the cast began to talk about how the show would have gotten canceled because of how risky it was at the beginning. Then, of course, Shindong got cocky and said he was the one that made the show alive after he danced with JYP perfectly.

Then, of course, Lee Soo Geun talked about how Leeteuk looked like a tour guide especially with the bag. Leeteuk then proceeded to act like one, which got a huge reaction from our reaction man, Siwon.

Finally, we got to introduce ourselves and Shindong came up with the idea of doing it like how we used to in debut years since our album title is called “Timeslip”.

“Hello, I’m “Cinderella” Kim Heechul,” Heechul said. Then he explained that it was his social media username in the past and that he had to go home in the past and that he had to go home or go out at 12:00 AM.

“Hello, I’m a special leader of this world, the angel who lost his wings, Teuk, Teuk, Leeteuk!” Leeteuk said, even doing his old hand gestures. I giggled to myself, thinking he is still cute to this day.

Then Before Yesung started, Ho Dong said he lost weight and Yesung began saying that his face his swollen today. Then we all made fun of him about how he has no face at all making everyone laugh. “Hello. I’m the lead vocalist of Super Junior, with the voice of an artist. I’m Yesung. Nice to meet you.”

“Hello. I’m Donghae, who is cuter than the animation Finding Nemo. ” Everyone laughed and I smiled wide, nodding my head in agreement. He sure looks like him.

Everyone was curious about Siwon’s introduction and how he is handsome. What will come to them is a surprise, but to them, not to us. “Hello. I’m Choi Siwon.” And that was it. Nothing more to explain about him, making me roll my eyes in a joking matter.

Since Shindong was on Popopo at the time, the name of his character was “Dongridong” so he used it in his introduction. “Hello, Donridong, Dong, Dong... I’m Talented Shindond,” He did, with his hand movements as well.

“Hello, I’m self-illuminating handsome jewel, Lee Hyuk Jae.” 'Everyone chuckled because it wasn't his stage name, he then explained that he often forgot his stage name and just used his regular name instead. “He really is stupid, huh?” I pointed at him, looking at the cast, making them laugh. Eunhyuk just staring me down, trying to get through an episode without us ending up arguing.

“Hello, I’m Super Junior’s vocalist, one of the youngest member’s Ryeowook.” Everyone forgets that he is older than Kyuhyun and me, especially since he looks young as well.

It was finally Kyuhyun’s turn and he stepped back, “ I used to kind of hesitate. I was introverted and lacked confidence. When we were standing, I would stand slightly behind.” Everyone laughed. “I swear he did this and I felt bad all the time. I tried to bring him to the front and he would always just find someone to slightly stand behind.” I explained to everyone. Kyuhyun got into his act, looking at everyone first, then began talking with no eye contact with anyone and talking quieter, “ Hello, I’m Super Junior’s new member, Kyuhyun.”

Finally, it was my turn. I bowed and said energetically, “Hello, I’m the only girl who’s the cutest of them all, Ji Sky!” Also adding my poses was putting a peace sign to my eyes, with a wink. Everyone awed, “She’s still cute now, oh gosh!” Heechul said. Everyone agrees.

After introductions, Ho Dong explained about our album concept and how almost all of our hair colors are different, and about how we picked our own style this time around. Which made everyone to proceed to attack Eunhyuk because of his bright ass hair that no one wanted to see. “I sometimes wonder if Leeteuk is the attention seeker or Eunhyuk,” I said, making the members laugh. Then we also talked about Siwon’s hair and how it’s the rich hairstyle of a young businessman, which also targeted Seo Jang Hoon who has the same hairstyle.

We then proceeded to talk about how it's our first time back with all the members back from discharge. “Sky, how did you feel when the members kept coming and going because of their military service?” Lee Sang Min asked me. I thought for a moment, already feeling a little emotional, “They are my brothers, almost my whole lives have been about them. Seeing the members come and go was very hard. I knew they were doing a great job, but I couldn't help but feel selfish. I get lonely easily and sometimes I go to specific members for different things, so at times when I needed them for that certain thing, they weren't there. It took me a while to process it and understand. After more members started to leave, I accepted it more. When we were on our hiatus that’s when it hit me hard. Because for a couple of years we went and all did our own thing. It was very weird. But I’m happy, we’re all back together because now they get to deal with me again.” I laughed at the end, making sure tears didn't fully come out. Everyone chuckled, “She tried to make it funny so she didn’t cry,” Kyuhyun said, laughing and giving me a side hug. I smiled and leaned into him, “She learned that from me” Heechul said.

After we proceeded to talk about other topics. Such as; Leeteuk being the most complicated when it comes to our upcoming tour because of how much he messages us, Us members saying happy birthday to Ryeowook in a group chat that he isn't even a part of, Who visited Ryeowook in the military, Heechul and I suddenly becoming awkward because we aren't in our original spots on the show, Leeteuk being popular among elders even J-Hope’s family, after Yesung’s confession about Ho Dong other victims came and talked about their trauma with ho dong which led to Kyuhyun talking about that one incident with yesung and Ho Dong, Siwon having a bad experience with Jang Hoon when he was a kid, and Kyuhyun being the Genie on Masked Singer.

Eunhyuk got to do his interpretation of our song “I think I” by dancing and he never fails to impress me. In which not many people know right now, but we just started dating recently and it’s so hard for me to not have a bigger reaction like I wanted.

After we got to talk about Shindong and how he is the best at dancing of all of SM and even trainees use this one video to audition or do a cover of it. Shindong then proceeded to redo that dance, which had a great storyline. During towards the end of the song, the old Dance Line used to be a part of it, So Eunhyuk, Donghae, and I stepped up with Shidong, Leeteuk being close behind. We danced with him.

After we all got to sit down with each other, Ryeowook with me, Yesung with Heechul, Eunhyuk with Kyung Hoon, Siwon with Jang Hoon, Donghae with Young Chul, Kyuhyun with Ho Dong, Leeteuk with Soo Geun, and Shindong with Sang Min.

We are playing the game, “I am sorry, I love you.” It’s basically where we get something off our chest about someone else. The other person should apologize after one says something and then, in the end, both say “I love you.” It seems simple enough.

After Leeteuk and Kyuhyun went first, Heechul replaced Kyuhyun’s spot, which got us, members, freaking out not wanting another Incheon battle. So, we went over dramatic with our reactions whenever they said anything about each other. Eventually, they did makeup and no battle happened. Everyone got to confess and misunderstanding and on now asking questions and trying to guess the answer.

After Shindong, it was my turn. “Everyone Listen up, I’m asking the question now,” I said, holding the hammer in my hand and raising an eyebrow, looking at everyone. “Oo~ she thinks she tough,” Eunhyuk said, looking away, which earned a well-deserved glare from me. The members then gasped, “Don’t fight!” they all started to say and the cast was confused. “When they are on a show together they start to sometimes fight and cause an actual argument,” Shindong explained.

“Anyways! I’ll start.” I start reading the card, “Everyone knows I was really young when we debuted, yes?” I looked at everyone, then went back to reading, “What did I use to hate about myself but now I love?”

Everyone “ooo'd” and I examine all of them, everyone looked at each other then started laughing, “Min Kyung Hoon is growing his beard back!” Heechul yelled out. I looked at him and held my hammer ready to fire at him, “What are you thinking about, huh?!”

I walked over to him, hemmer ready in action. “B-breast?” He stuttered laughing and looking away with his face red. I laughed and hit him with the hammer lightly, “Wrong even though that is a good answer.”

I smiled and went back to the front. “I Got it!” Eunhyuk yelled loudly with his hands up. “Your dancing skills?” I glared and walked over to him and hit him hard, making the sound of the toy hammer echo in the room. “Wrong. Plus, I’ve been better than you since trainee years and I was 11.” I walked away from everyone and the boys all laughed.

“I got it! Was it your chubby cheeks? ” Shindong yelled out and I hit him on the shoulder lightly. “Wrong,” I said.

“Kyung Hoon was the closest to it.” The boys started to think.

“I-i got it!” Kyuhyun stood up and I looked at him, “Was it your body figure in general?” he asked.

“You got it!” I said and everyone clapped.

“W-why?” Everyone started to ask.

“Back then I was really young and obviously was still growing. I’ve hated myself for years. My first relationship made it worse for me. And when I am stressed, I eat a lot and then not eat for days because I was scared of my image. My weight would function weird and go to places that made me feel unattractive. Now that I’m older and things balanced out, I enjoy how my body looks. The fat goes to the right places.” I winked at them and sat back down, getting a hug from Ryeowook.

The last segment of today was the Super Scholarship Quiz where we find out who is the best in variety by playing some games. It was very chaotic as usual when it comes to us. I was with Leeteuk, Shindong, and Ryeowook. With Ryeowook and I together. It was an easy win. Us, Super Junior, won the Ice Cream which I was so excited to bring home, I saw Kyuhyun in the corner of my eye, smiling at me.

During one of the questions, Kyuhyun was asked what his girlfriend's name was, which of course was asked by Lee Soo Geun. He wasn’t supposed to ask that, but that man wanted to win. Kyuhyun said “No one” which meant he didn't have one. Then we all bagged on him because he didn't say E.L.F. Leeteuk made me laugh as well when he said, “She must be disappointed” which was funny enough until Heechul slightly mumbles, “At least it wasn’t to a different member then we’d be in trouble. “ And at that moment all the members started yelling and hitting him because we all knew who he was talking about.

In the end, Super Junior is the best of variety shows. We got some good food and then we promoted our new song “Super Clap.” Overall this has been the best time I’ve had since episode 100 of Knowing Bros. Not only am I with my Knowing Brother’s cast family, but I’m also with my Super Junior family.

Hello! My name is Y/N. I’m not really sure what to say and I don’t even know if you’ll read this, but here it goes.

I’ve been a fan for a long time, and I don’t regret a single moment. You captured my attention when I first watched your music videos. Your dancing is phenomenal, and you’ve inspired me to keep chasing my dreams of becoming a professional dancer. I’m sure I could never reach your level, but I managed to start a dance studio! It’s nothing big, but maybe that will change! Whatever happens, I just want to thank you for being the biggest inspiration in my journey.

I hope reading this will make you proud of yourself, for using your platform and abilities to bring hope to your fans, and maybe of me, for being able to get closer to my dreams because of you.

Yugyeom isn’t sure this is real. He reads the letter again, but it’s all the same. He’s used to praises, confessions, proposals, even, but being inspired enough to start a studio is a first. She’s telling him to be proud of himself, but he almost feels unworthy. He’s nothing special, yet here she is, commending him for her success.

He laughs. Something ripples in his chest. He has to see her again, ask how her studio is going, if she’s well. The letter is too short, and he’s left with a bundle of questions.

“Thank you. I’m not sure what I would do without you.”

He’s met so many fans and even gets familiar with a couple faces, but that’s it. It’s a busy life. But for whatever reason, he doesn’t want to forget Y/N.

Y/N wishes, more than anything, that relating to people were easier.

She’d think to deal with her friends for two years would make her a professional, but her progress has been nothing but linear. They’re her colleagues—technically employees—but she doesn’t want to be alone. She has to be a good boss, a good teacher, and overall, a good friend. But God, are they exhausting.

They’re not terrible people and they have their moments, but she can’t find it in herself to care about Kim Soohyun starring in a new drama. It’s almost amazing how similar they are, like soulmates. It’s just a little unfair she wasn’t part of the package.

“Y/N. Have you seen Royal Lover yet?” Sunhee asks.

Y/N takes a sip from her juice. She needs to come up with something fast. “That’s actually next on my list. I was planning to watch it later.” She’s going to regret this.

There’s nothing wrong with dramas. In fact, they’re great, but she’d like to watch them for herself at her own pace. They’re not exactly forcing her, but doing this is better than being excluded. This is how she finished five dramas in less than three weeks.

“Okay, okay, finish it as soon as possible! It’s sooo good. I cried at the end,” Areum says, and wipes a barbecue sauce stain on her shirt. She couldn’t care less about the mess, but she was fuming about Heechul and Momo’s relationship a minute ago. “Jia, what did you think about the ending?”

Jia, although busy on her phone, doesn’t waste a moment to reply. “All I’m gonna say for now is that I think it has one of the best endings in K-Drama history. We can text about it later, but we should stay quiet for now until Y/N finishes it.”

Areum shakes her head. “No, let’s text about it now!”

The rest of the lunch is quiet except for keyboard clicks and laughter. There’s no use getting their attention now. Y/N slumps against her wooden chair and sighs. Her eyes wander to a family in the indoor area of the cafe where they laugh at something the father says. She can’t remember the last time anyone listened to her like that. She looks back at the girls.

Why can’t she be more like them? They’re weird, but they aren’t alone. They have people to talk to and connect with. Is there something she missed? Was there a handbook for social skills she never received?

Why does she feel alone when they’re right in front of her?

The metal seat is cool against the bottom of her thighs, and she instantly regrets wearing shorts. It took her a few stops to get seated. Her legs were ready to give in to the fatigue, so she’s not sure if she should feel guilty for hurrying after the seat before a child could take it.

His mother glares at her, and she wishes she could explain herself, that she’s a dancer and needs to sit down after a long day at the studio. But the child pouts and looks at her too, and it bites at her conscience. She checks the map above the doors. Her stop is two stations away.

She rises from her seat with a sigh and takes their place in the center. They don’t even thank her, but she doesn’t blame them. She closes her eyes and focuses on Yugyeom’s voice playing through her earphones.

Bad days aren’t so bad when she has GOT7.

When she gets home, she prepares a bowl of ramen and a glass of milk, and spends the rest of the evening watching Royal Lovers, already wishing for it to be over.

Yugyeom’s heart is going to leap out of his chest.

The gold lights cast a soft glow in the room, and it makes the event feel cozy. Dark red theater chairs fill the compact hall, most of them already occupied. He searches through the crowd and looks away as soon as he finds Y/N. She’s here. It’s difficult, but he tries to look at other fans and focus on waving hello. This is gonna be tough, he thinks.

There are camera flashes, conversations, and the boys at his side. The fan sign is open, and the first batch approaches. Everything is familiar. Everything is the same.

Except he can’t wait to meet a certain fan.

Time is not in Y/N’s favor today. It’s too fast for her to process every second. She’s already finished talking to Jaebeom. Mark. Youngjae.

There are too many words fumbling in her mind, she doesn’t even know what they are. The few she catches are too awkward to form coherent sentences. If only she could dance what she wants to say, but she would rather not make a fool of herself.

Before she could realize, she’s standing before Yugyeom.

“Welcome back!” He says and signs her album quickly. “Y/N, right? I read your letter from last time.”

Y/N tries to catch her breath. “You remember me? And you read my letter?”

He nods and takes her hands. His fingers clasp between hers, and he does this without breaking eye contact. Y/N’s heart races and her hands tremble. She tries to push every thought to the back of her head because there is no way this gesture could mean anything. He’s an idol. Fan service is part of the job, and clearly, he’s very good at it.

“How’s the studio?” He asks.

“It’s steady. I could use more students, though. You know, with rent and everything,” she replies.

He nods. “That’s good. Just keep working hard, and it’ll be worth it.” He pauses for a moment before asking, “Do you have a letter today?”

Y/N’s heart beats a thousand times faster, and she hasn’t even had coffee. Why is he asking for a letter? Did he like the one she wrote? He did remember her. She didn’t even have to remind him of her name. Heat rises in her cheeks. If only she knew he’d want to hear more from her.

“Oh, I’m sorry. I was binging a K-Drama and forgot to write one.”

He looks down before he meets her eyes again. “That’s all right. Are you coming to the next fan sign?”

She nods. “Yes! I’ll write you a letter by then!” She takes her hands away for a moment to pull bunny ears out of her bag. “This is compensation.”

Yugyeom lowers his head and lets her place it for him. When he looks up, a staff woman from behind places her arm between them before he could speak. His body droops as he releases a sigh. Time’s up.

He takes her hands one more time and shakes them like pom-poms. “See you next time, Y/N. Fighting!”

Y/N’s heart soars. Even as she faces the rest of the members, her mind replays her meeting with Yugyeom. His hands are gentler, and his smile is wider. It’s like he was genuinely happy to see her. If only she could return to the back of the line and talk to him for a few minutes more.

Like a movie stuck on repeat, her memories are full of Yugyeom. She doesn’t care when people glare at her as she hums in the train, or when she almost hits a woman with her swinging arms at the sidewalk.

She couldn’t be happier. And it’s all thanks to Yugyeom.

Y/N is sure her eyes are fried.

They’re sore from the bright TV screen that illuminates the dark living room, which she knows was already a bad choice. She didn’t have the energy to turn on the lights when the sun went down.

She wasn’t completely unproductive, though. On the coffee table is her laptop uploading a new YouTube video. It’s not a big channel, but the comments make up for it. It’s the only place, along with Instagram, where she feels like she has a voice.

Reality, on the other hand, has a different idea. It’s where she has to watch dramas 3 nights in a row to satisfy girls who only talk to her because she’s their boss. The only voice she has around them is directions in the studio and forced opinions.

She takes a deep breath and opens the group chat.

Y/N: I finished Royal Lover! I give it a 7/10. But you’re right, Areum, that ending was really good! Made me tear up!

Even typing that was draining.

Jia: Finally kkk

Sunhee: Sorry, we moved on to Children of the Sun. You should watch it!

Areum: SO!! GOOD!! It’s about a doctor and a soldier falling in love!! I’M CRYING!!!!

“Unbelievable,” she mutters.

Except it isn’t. They’re the type to jump onto the next band-wagon in a snap. She shouldn’t be surprised. She sighs and slams her phone on the couch. There is no way she’s watching Children of the Sun. What kind of title is that, anyway? It’s time to take a break from dramas. The girls might throw a fit, but it wouldn’t be the first time.

SURPRISE LIVE: OLOLOLOLO

Y/N laughs at the title. A change from the weight on her shoulders. Their noise fills the room, which she prefers over clashing swords and exaggerated sobs. Her shoulders relax, and she takes a deep breath. GOT7 salvaged her night.

“Let’s read some comments,” Youngjae says, leaning closer to the phone. “Say hi to Brazil. Hello. Bambam, speak French.”

“Baguette.”

Y/N throws her head back laughing and almost kicks her laptop off the table. She places it on the other end of the couch before coming back to the stream. The live chat is rapid, but she types a comment anyway. Maybe today will be her lucky day.

Mark takes the phone from Youngjae. “Yugyeom, someone is asking what you’ve been up to lately.”

Y/N almost drops her phone. That’s her question! She licks her lips and grips on the cushion as she leans closer to the screen.

“Oh, I’ve been watching a lot of dance videos! I enjoy watching fans cover our songs. It makes me feel proud. Some of them are even better than us.” The members hum in agreement. “Guys, if you have any dance covers or any dance videos at all, tag us! They make us really happy!”

Bambam nods. “Don’t be ashamed! Even if you’re just a beginner, we’re here to support you. We’re a team, guys! Fighting!”

She doesn’t wait for the live to end. She runs to her bedroom and rummages through the messy drawers. There’s no time to waste. The words flow right out of her pen, and she doesn’t care if the message is messy. She doesn’t know how long it takes but the ache in her spine and hand tell her it’s been a while.

“Don’t be ashamed!”

They’re right. Dancing is who she is. It’s everything she’s ever done, and all she’ll ever do until her bones don’t allow it. She did not start a studio to be ashamed. She did it to grow. GOT7 may not notice her videos under the infinite amount on Instagram.

But there is a certain member who might.

Taeyeon says that if she could date any of her members, she would date Soojin; the other members also joke that the two of them are in love, which Taeyeon and Soojin like to playfully affirm by saying, “We’re desperate for each other.”

She believes in aliens because she thinks it’s unlikely that Earth is the only planet in the universe able to sustain life; she thinks ghosts might be real, but if they are, not all of them are malicious or looking to frighten people

She learned Muay Thai since a young age at her father’s strict commands, since he wanted her to be able to defend herself; that learning came in handy when, in 2010, a man tried to kidnap Sunbin and Taeyeon managed to delay him long enough for the bodyguards to restrain him

Taeyeon remembers a bit about her mother and thinks about her often; she wonders how her mother would feel to see where she is now, how her mother would feel about her still complicated feelings about her father, and how her life might have changed if her mother had lived

She thinks that her love for reading and writing came from her mother, who read to her every day when she was young

Publically, Taeyeon vaguely admitted that she “felt awkward” around her father up until his death; in truth, though, part of her resented and still resents him for never being there for either her or Taeyong

However, her father still occupies her thoughts, and the unresolved state of their relationship makes it even harder for her to forget him; (v) Her songs Fine and Time Lapse, which she wrote and had a hand in composing and producing, was largely based on her feelings toward him

It’s kind of odd, but in the end I see it as another form of expression.”
