Honestly the dumbest thing about my experiences with queerness is I'd hear people talk about identity and how they navigate queerness and I'd be like, "oh, actually, that matches how I feel to a very weird level. Huh. Guess I'll never know why, though!"
And then a few months later, I'll have a breakdown of, "Holy shit, holy fuck what the hell is happening" before I realize maybe I should have paid closer attention to why I related so much to a queer experience.
The moral of this story is: if you relate to somebody explaining their queerness... there's likely a reason for that.

“Here buddy, focus on her,” Warriors murmurs, coaxing a bottle into his shaking fingers. Legend fumbles with it for a moment, gets a grip on its surface with sweaty palms.
Warriors says something else, something like breathe, bud, it’s okay I’ve got you, but it’s distant to his ears and all he can see is the translucent wings of a fairy in a bottle.

I decided to whip something up. 2023 was a good year for me as I gained new interests! I'll try to be more active here but I can't promise that. Anyways, I hope everyone had a good year. Here's to 2024! :D

I swore I wouldn’t buy the Wonderful Life remake. I didn’t want to support it for a variety of reasons, but I’ve received it for Christmas, so guess what I’ve been spending all of my time on.
It’s alright. They ruined Marlin. Some of the heart events are strange, because you’re allowed to marry characters of the same sex now, but these events were written with the opposite sex in mind. So… I trigger Celia’s introduction event where Vesta tells her not to tell Marlin she’s met the player character as not to make him jealous. This makes sense playing as a man. Makes no sense playing as a woman. XSEED also seems to think the term “bud” is gender neutral, when it most certainly is not, so Rock acting dumb, cocky, and flirty while calling a female player character “bud” is just jarring.
The game is a bit ugly, but it’s otherwise a pretty faithful remake, and I’ll play it through to the end, I guess. It could have been so much better though. Forget-Me-Not Valley is featured in both A Wonderful Life and DS. I think the game would have been best if they combined elements from both of those games. Add Griffin, Carter, and Flora as marriage candidates, add Skye, make the Mineral Town candidates available if one has save data from the Mineral Town remake on their Switch. Let us marry that guy on that phone. Marvelous is just totally shitting the bed lately. It’s disappointing.
Play Trio of Towns (the last good Marvelous game).
