Saw this on @lateautumnnight. It’s not autumn where I live, but it is autumn where I wish I lived, so, whatevs!

What is your favorite dessert? Grandma’s apple pie.

If you were starring in a movie, who would you want as your co star? Brandybuk Crublesnatch.

What’s your favorite TV show? It changes. Probably rn it would be Dark Matter.

What’s something you’ve done that you’re really proud of? Making loved one’s depression much more bearable. 

What makes you laugh the most? Bad jokes.

Have you thought about going on exchange? Where would you want to go? New Zealand oh my god.

Do you have a favorite coffee place? Why is it your favorite? I had, but it’s not there anymore. It was a little no brand cafe when we had our first date. 

What fictional world would you want to live in? Cosmere, duh. 

Is there anything you wish would come back into fashion? Sun umbrellas. I usually want things I like to NOT be in fashion, because I hate being a copy-paste, but this one would be actually nice if it was socially accepted and I could use those things without being stared at. 

If you went to Hogwarts, what house would you be in? Ravenclaw!

What is the last book you read for fun? Calamity by Brandon Sanderson

Would you rather be a character in a thriller or a rom com? I am the biggest coward. Rom com, please. 

What color best corresponds with your personality? Purple. It’s happy and sad at the same time. 

What is your favorite class you’re in right now? Why? I’m old, I didn’t have any classes this semester, I’ve only been working on my MSC project. I do love lab work tho!

What are you most excited for about this year? I’m not excited, graduating and looking for a PhD project is fucking stressing af. 

Do you have any unusual talents? I am a tenor tenoress tenorette in the choir? 

What is your most prized possession? Black ring on a necklet.

Would you rather speak all languages or be able to talk to animals? Talk to animals, just because this is some supernatural shit. 

What would you title your autobiography? Wha? If I ever get a nobel prize or something like that - “Fuck you middle school teachers”. If I ever get popular for any other reason (don’t think so lol) - “Fuck you people who gave me Body Dysmorphic Disorder”. 

Are you a morning person or a night person? Night. It’s 4 am here, lulz.

Open: Late Autumn Nights

It had been a few weeks into school when Ella realized the change in Hogwarts. There was a much more somber tone about the place. Maybe not in the younger years, maybe not even in her year, but the 6th and 7th years were not nearly as rowdy as they usually were. Everyone was anticipating the war brewing, at least those who understood what was happening. Lately Ella had been having a hard time sleeping. She was restless, and when she did manage to fall asleep, nightmares always seemed to follow. She couldn't deny that she was worried. She knew what was going to happen to all the 7th years next year. All the 7th years she cared for were going to pick a side, and while most would be for the Order, some, or one, would not be, and that thought scared her. Ella was aware of how much danger they would be in, and the thought twisted in her like a sickness.

Having given up on sleep for the night Ella pulled her robes on and slipped on her shoes. Sitting in a room full of sleeping people, when she herself couldn't sleep, was driving her mad. She did the best thing she could think of, and left. Grabbing her wand she walked down the familiar stairs of the dormitory. Upon seeing an empty common room, she made her way out the portrait hole and down towards the main entrance. She knew she wasn't suppose to be out so late, but she wasn't really thinking of the consequences it could bring. She made it out the main door and on the grounds without being stopped, so she figured she was safe.

Making her way down to the Black Lake she sat herself down at the tree near it. She wasn't sure why she wanted to be out here, but there was an instant calmness to the place. She didn't think about the fact that at this same place, around the same time, last year she had been attacked at this very spot. It seemed like a such a long time ago. So much had changed, so much had happened. Ella was pulled out of her thoughts but rustling footsteps. She swiftly stood up and drew her wand, "Who's there?" she asked steadily, though a sudden fear waved through her.

This show almost always rewards my fandom with the big swings it takes; just when I think it can’t surprise me anymore, it goes left!
