*Levi and y/n on their wedding day*
Priest: “Now do we have any objections?”
Levi, stops and turns around, pulling off his suit jacket to reveal the ODM blades strapped to his back. “…”
Everyone: “…..”
Levi, nods his head and clicks his tongue, “Yeah…...OK..”

One night stand with Levi is just that, a one time thing. He can't risk a relationship, he knows that he can't give you what you deserve so he gives you everything that one night, he marks your skin, makes you moan and beg for him. He interlocks his hands with your as his thrusts get deeper, his cock hitting all the right spots and he is close to saying those three words but he doesn't. Insted he kisses you, swalloing the words with a moan. Levi won't forget that night ever and he hopes that after all this is over, you and him can be finally together
Except he is watching you in a white dress, walking down the asile to marry another man. You look beautiful and Levi was never the jealous type however the envy he feels for that man waiting for you is through the roof. He will get to kiss you and have you, love you like Levi never did because he was a coward when he wanted to love you the most. During the vows, he stands up and leaves looking over his shoulder to catch a glimpse of you, you're too busy looking at your soon to be husband. Levi leaves without a word, as soon as he is outside in the fresh air, a sigh leaves him. No regrets was his main rule, no matter what choice he made, he never regretted it until now. Swallowing the lamp in his throat, he puts his hands in his pockets and walks away, feeling the metal of the ring he brought for you, a ring that you were supposed to wear on your ring finger.

Flock of Birds
Pairing: levi x gn! Reader
Summary: You’re injured, disoriented, and alone in the middle of the forest with your thoughts. The rest of the Levi squad is dead. You’re hoping death comes sooner rather than later, but luckily your Captain finds you in time.
Warnings: angst, descriptions of violence, reader hoping for death, happy ending.
**something to get me back into writing, and apparently symbolism is hard for me to write. Takes place during season 2 and reader is apart of his og squad.
Their relationship can be read as romantic or platonic, it’s not really specified.
Tumblr media
The birds never looked so free. A small flock flew above you in the typical ‘v’ form. Sasha said they do that to keep track of each other. To keep each other safe while migrating and make sure no one gets left behind. Were they ducks? No, no, they had to be crows. Maybe they’re- who cares?
You’re mind was fuzzy.
Vision was blurry.
And of course it had to be raining.
But… the sun was out and the sky was clear.
Then why was water running down your face? The slow tickle of the liquid trailed down your face and down your jaw until it fell on your white pants.
Blood.
Oh. That explains it.
How long have you been out here? What time was it.. what day was it?
The ringing in your ear slowly dissipates and your vision starts to clear. You’re sitting down.
Why? Captain Levi gave you and the rest of his squad orders to stop the Female Titan. This isn’t making any sense.
Where was Petra? Eld?
God, your head hurts.
Maybe they found their flock of birds and flew to safety? But without you?
Nothing makes sense.
All you can see are trees, granted you can’t even move your head around fully. But, the Scouts are in titan territory, this was no time to be sitting.
You try to move your legs that sprawled in front of you, but the small movement makes you release a strangled cry.
Oh. It’s all coming back now.
Your squad, no, Levi’s squad… they’re all gone.
The female Titan elbowed you while going after the others. You must’ve hit the tree and only suffered a few broken bones before you went unconscious.
Perfect.
The sun was starting to get lower in the sky and you realize the scouts must’ve made their way back hours ago.
A small and bitter laugh escaped you. This is how you die? Alone and surrounded by the corpses of your comrades? What a sick world.
Maybe, just maybe if you close your eyes, you won’t wake up. The painful yearning for death in your sleep was no more than a miracle. And miracles don’t happen. Not in this life.
No, a Titan is bound to grab you at any moment, squeezing your body in its hand until your bones crack and blood is pouring out of your mouth. Death only comes once its teeth bite down on your skull.
That’s how you’re supposed to die.
Then why weren’t there any titans?
Not that you minded, but it was very peculiar. This was prime Titan country and you should’ve been dead before you’ve even woken up.
A faint noise catches your attention. That sounds like… odm gear.
With your rotten luck, they’ll fly past you, not noticing you’re still alive. Thin tears leaked from your dehydrated body. You’ll have to suffer a cold night by yourself, then get plucked off the ground by a Titan once dawn approaches. If you’re lucky, you’ll die during the night.
“Captain!”
A voice shouted out as the odm gear sounded a lot closer now. It was a female voice.
Was it Krista? No, her voice is too soft.
Sasha? No, it couldn’t be.
“Captain, they’re alive!”
Oh, it was Mikasa. She was cool.
Thumps and the sound of the twigs and leaves snapping as the two made their way over to you.
Which Captain was it?
Wait, wasn’t there only one Captain?
Yes, he wasn’t just your Captain, he was your squad leader.
Your head tilted to the side and through half-lidded eyes, you saw Captain Levi standing there in shock. Mikasa quickly rushes over to you and scans you for any lethal wounds.
“T-they hit their head pretty hard it looks like.” She says with tears brimming her eyes. Levi finally snaps out of it and remembers his authority.
“Scan the area for any Titans until I get them on one of the branches.” Levi crouches down in front of you as Mikasa leaves. “Hey, hey, can you hear me?”
His hands carefully grasp at your face to steady your head. “Y/l/n, I asked you a question.” Your eyes locked with his. The sharp grey eyes bore into yours just like so many other times, but this time you could tell there was a sense of longing and concern within them. Your hand reaches out to grasp the wings of freedom patch on the shoulder of his jacket.
That’s when your emotions took over. Tears leaked from your eyes and you gave out a cry. “I’m s-so sorry, Captain. We t-tried to stop her.”
The disappointment in yourself rang through your body. You were still alive. Everyone else was dead. So why you? You were the first one down and couldn’t even follow your captains orders.
“Shut the hell up.” Levi interrupts your thoughts.
“You’re alive. That’s all that matters.” He breathes out and rests his forehead on yours. “Thank god.”
More tears. “B-but the others-”
“We can mourn when we’re all safe. Right now, we have to get you out of here.”
Levi takes out a roll of bandages and starts to bind them against your head wound. “Don’t die on me yet, kid.”
“I’m only a few years younger than you.” You gave him a weak smile.
“Save your energy, brat.”
There’s the Captain you know.
Once he bandages your wounds, he sets his arms under you to carry you. You let out a small cry at the movement of your leg.
“Shit.” He mutters and moves to take off his cloak. “There’s nothing I can do for the pain. Just hold on until we can get to the wagons.”
“Okay.”
His thumb wipes away a few of your tears and he rips a strip off his cloak and rolls it up. “We can’t have that loud mouth of yours attracting more of those ugly bastards.” He hold it up to your mouth.
“Bite.”
The cloth is pressed between your teeth and acts as a bite guard.
You couldn’t help the muffled groans of pain as he lifted your body up. He tied more pieces of his cloak around you both to act as a harness so you were strapped to his back.
“You alright?” Levi asked once he stood up. He only got a muffled grunt in response.
Without another word, he took off into the trees.
“Mikasa, let’s go! We’re meeting up with the others.”
The other scout soon joined you two and she gave you a worried glance.
Your arms were limply resting around Levi’s neck as he moved and your head turns to the side.
Birds flew next to you.
“To keep each other safe.” Sasha’s voice rang out in your head. “When my dad was teaching me to hunt, I always wondered why birds flew like that, too.”
“Aw, so they’re looking out for each other?” You asked, splitting your slice of bread in half and handing it to her. “That’s cute.”
She eagerly took it, “Yeah! It’s to make sure no one gets left behind and makes communicating easier.”
Who knew one of Sasha’s old stories would play through your mind at a time like this.
Levi landed on his horse and was careful with you and his own injured leg. The forest was becoming smaller and you could see the walls in the distance.
You’re gonna be okay.
Levi’s hand gripped both of yours around his neck and he held the reigns in the other.
Sorry fate, you weren’t getting left behind this time. Maybe miracles do happen. You might have lost some along the way, but the birds must stick together, especially in this world.

[love in the dark] levi ackerman x f!reader
cw + what to expect: angsty levi thinking he’s not good enough for you, self deprecation, talks of a family and kids, nudity (not sexual), brief mentions of battle scars, swearing, jealousy, alcohol consumption, eventual comfort
Tumblr media
levi hated everything he loved about you. you were so loud and talkative and bubbly. always smiling, despite the chaos around you. always caring and laughing and mumbling made-up melodies.
he hated that other people loved those parts of you too. he hated the way erwin would light up when you entered the room, that he somehow found ways to spend more time than needed with you, that hange would tease him playfully about his crush on you, a simple cadet.
but what he hated the most was that he couldn’t speak. he couldn’t kick the living shit out of erwin and punch hange’s stupid face, scream how much he loves you.
because you were a cadet. levi was a captain. it was so inappropriate, him breaking every possible rule and code of honour to be with you.
today was a very bad day. many scouts had lost their lives in an expedition to capture two titans for research. the remaining ones needed an uplift, erwin thought. and now squad leaders, captains, scouts and the fucking commander were sitting in a circle drinking wine.
you couldn’t handle your alcohol. levi was the first person to introduce you to wine, and then whiskey. that was also the first time levi felt old. how young were you that you had never tasted alcohol before?
he smiled to himself at the memory, but the smile faltered when he looked up to see erwin helping you to a couch. you gracefully thanked your commander, slightly embarrassed at how dizzy you were. petra, your friend, looked between you and the commander, giving you a suggestive wiggle of the brows. that didn’t go unnoticed by your captain, whose hand slipped as he poured wine in petra’s glass, turning her white pants a pale hue of red.
something snapped inside of levi as he drank glass after glass of sweet red wine. erwin had so much to offer to you. money, a home, a family. you were listening intently as erwin explained the rules of a card game to you, peering over his shoulder as you sat on the couch and he on the floor.
don’t let your head fall on his shoulder. don’t let your-
a gasp came from levi’s left. of course it was fucking hange.
“i must be boring you.” erwin chuckled when he realised you were falling asleep. “i’ll take you to your dorm.” levi reached the couch with two big steps, protectively standing between you and erwin as you got up.
“i’ll take her.” he was throwing daggers at erwin with his gray eyes, and erwin was surprisingly returning the gaze.
“you don’t have to, captain. take your rest today.” erwin was not giving it up. he gave levi a pleading look, as if saying let me have this, friend.
you’re not my fucking friend, replied levi.
“she’s my soldier, erwin.” you pulled on levi’s jacket, after making sure no one saw. a silent please stop. “lead the way, cadet. you can walk, i assume.” he was cold. more than usual, barely letting you say your good nights to the room.
was he mad at you? you weren’t the one making advances, it was erwin. you didn’t know how to politely turn your commander down, nor did the alcohol running through your veins allow you to.
“your room is that way, is it not?” levi stopped sharply, making you hit his back.
“levi,” when had you ever slept in your room the last two years? “are you mad at me?”
he sighed and turned around, still alert for any guards, or even worse, erwin and hange showing up.
“you’re drunk.” was all he said before walking again, signaling for you to follow. he was silent the rest of the way, silent as he stepped out of his clothes, silent as he grabbed a towel.
“can we take a bath together?” you asked hopefully. deep down you had a feeling he would turn you down. levi was always sour after failed expeditions.
“i want to go to sleep tonight, you take too damn long in the bath.” he was right, but the way he said it made it sound like he was accusing you of being a serial killer.
“okay. you go then, i showered before.” you smiled softly and started taking your clothes off to lay on the clean linen sheets.
levi thought about tonight over and over as he sat in the hot water. he didn’t mean to snap at you, or be so mean. he was pushing you away and into erwin’s arms.
erwin could give you the world. levi could not.
and you deserved the damn world.
he couldn’t help but smile when he saw you taking up the entirety of the bed, stark naked, like you always did.
he loved everything about your body. every curve, every dip, every beauty mark. he loved the healed pink scars on your legs and back, he loved kissing them and caressing them every time you cried that they were ghastly.
he hated what he was about to do.
“don’t you dare.” your voice was quavering. you didn’t dare look away from the ceiling.
“dare what?” levi put his boxers on and tried pushing you to the wall so he could lie down. why are you crying?
“do what you’re about to do, levi.” you moved so he could sit next to you and you both rested your backs on the cold wall.
“if you know what i’m about to do, you also know why.”
“oh, eyebrows is flirting with my girlfriend. time to ruin a perfectly fine two-year relationship.” you were mocking him. he was almost mad at you, but you were trying so hard not to cry.
“that’s not it.” he muttered. god, he hated talking about these things. “i can’t…”
i can’t give you enough.
“can’t what, levi? can’t love me anymore?”
“i can’t be what you need.” he sighed and turned away. why the fuck were his eyes burning and watering now?
“what are you talking about?”
“do you want kids, y/n?”
you let out a surprised laugh.
“levi-”
“do you?”
“well, yeah. not for like, ten years, but sure.”
“there you have it.”
“what, are you impotent or something?” you tried making light of the situation, because truly, you had no idea how to approach this. so you resorted to humour, hoping levi would snap out of it too.
“no, i’m just not cut out for that family crap.” he was standing up and walking around the room now, and he was making you dizzy. “erwin is, though. erwin wants a family and three children, did you know?”
you did know. you still shook your head no.
“and he has money to raise them. hell, he has a house in the countryside, and servants.”
“well, good for him. i hope he finds a wife soon.”
“are you fucking stupid, y/n?” you hated when he talked like that. “you’re 22 years old, god damn it!”
“so?”
“other women your age are already married and have a second kid on the way. not wasting their days away fighting titans, risking their lives!”
“i didn’t join the scouts to find a husband, levi!” you were crying. god, he hated it so much. what was he even doing. levi regretted ever opening his mouth.
“don’t you understand, erwin is your way out! you’re wasting your time with me. your life.”
“levi…” now you finally understood. it wasn’t that he was jealous of erwin flirting with you. well, that too, but he was jealous of the life erwin was living. “levi, i love you.”
“y/n, i really don’t know what you’re doing with me.” he was sitting down on the edge of the bed, his back to you. you shifted on the bed, until your legs were around his and your cheek resting on his back.
“i know you don’t get it, but you’re giving me exactly what i need.”
“and what is that?”
your hand fell on top of his, and you intertwined your fingers before he could take it away.
“you give me life, levi. and that’s more than i could ask for. i know you’re scared that you’ll die, or i will, but that’s our purpose. i joined the scouts knowing the risks.”
“i just want you to live properly. peacefully.”
“so be my peace.” you whispered in his ear and got up, sitting down again on his lap. “and don’t ever think you’re not good enough for me.”
“i know i’m not, y/n.”
“i don’t care, then. i love you, i don’t want to lose this, ever. i don’t care that i’m too young, or at child-bearing age or whatever other stupid crap you’ll come up with.” he smiled softly at you, letting his forehead fall against yours.
“promise you won’t die, then?” you giggled and kissed the tip of his nose before replying.
“i promise.”
“i love you.”
“good. don’t ever do that shit again, levi.”
“don’t swear.” he muttered and guided you to lie down, still on top of him. you could feel your heartbeats turn to one as you lay in silence. “i’m sorry, y/n.”
“that’s okay. just know i wouldn’t trade you for anything. for anyone.”
“really?” his arms tightened around you. a form of saying, me neither. you’re my everything.
“yeah, i like my men to have thin eyebrows.”

You get angry at Levi for something and ignore him for a period of time and he'll get so anxious that he'll literally annoy you till the end of the world, just to hear your voice.

Untimely Love
Tumblr media
There is a struggle in loving someone whose heart lies elsewhere.
Your kisses with the captain were fleeting, you were always left teetering on the edge of love and self-destruction, always wondering what you were doing wrong, why your relationship with him would never and could never advance. The invisible wall that existed between you both became more and more prominent as the familiar faces that once surrounded you became distant memories, a daily reminder that you, too, could meet a similar end like them. Levi had stopped fearing death a long time ago -no, death was no threat to him- but it was a threat to anyone he held dear.
Levi Ackerman’s heart lied with the scouts. As much as you had fought your way in, Levi’s heart could not belong to another until the very end. The sacrifices he made, the love he denied himself - he didn’t have to think too hard whether or not he regretted it…He didn’t, it was his life’s purpose to try and live with no regrets. And when peace was finally achieved, he was glad to see you there, battered and bruised, but there. Alive.
Finally, Levi could dedicate his heart to you. Sure he was wheelchair ridden, and there was no telling what mental scars hid inside his pretty little mind, but he was finally ready to wholly dedicate his heart to you.
Except it was too late.
You had moved on. For your sake, you had moved on. Even before the Rumbling, even before Levi had formally ended things between you all those years ago. The feeling of his absence while you were together was a cruel motivator to unlearn everything associated to your captain, and to teach your heart to beat for itself and not for another.
Levi got to watch you get married, he got to watch you have children. The things he couldn’t give you were provided for elsewhere and the self-hatred almost consumed him. But as the wrinkles on his face became more and more apparent and his hair became a snowy white, the hatred had become replaced with a healthy acceptance.
You were there, alive and happy. There was no greater thing he could’ve asked for.

Random Levi thought #12
Loving Levi is suffering in silence. His love isn't him pining over you, giving you gifts, trying to win you over. It's silent, yet so loud. It's him always making you tea whenever he makes himself one, it's him always making sure that your gear is functioning properly, it's him always telling you to be careful before a mission but it's never him to tell you the words that lay in his heart. He will never tell but you'll know it. That's the part that hurts the worst because it's duty before love.

Pairing: Levi x Reader
Series Masterlist
Warning: pregnancy, mentions of abortion
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“I’ll be okay.”
Tumblr media
It was suffocating. You were suffocating. The child in your stomach filled you with so much overwhelming joy. With so much anxiousness. You felt like you would throw up any second and it wasn’t because of morning sickness. The thought of taking care of a baby with the love of your life was exhilarating. Enough to bring a smile on your face.
But you were scared. Terrified that this baby would not bring happiness. Terrified that it would tear you away from Levi.
“Looks like you’re six weeks in ma’am. We can set up an appointment for next week to do your first ultrasound.”
You were sat up on the hospital bed. You hadn’t looked up at the doctor since your change in position. Your eyes were dull, and dark eye bags highlighted your lack of sleep.
This was supposed to be a joyous moment in your life. You were about to be a mom, well if you kept the baby that is. But all this brought was an excessive amount of emotions that gave you a headache. You loved Levi so much and you know he loved you just as much, you didn’t doubt it for a second. But there was one annoying part of you that thought that Levi would leave. That he wouldn’t want to be a father.
Of course that was entirely his choice. The question was would you keep the baby even without him there. Raise them as a single mother. You might, you’ve always wanted to be a mother. The love your parents showed you when you were young, how happy you all were as a family was an indicator enough that you wanted one for yourself, a family. This realization was like a slap in the face, a punch in the gut, but also a relief in itself.
You would do this, you would keep the baby whether Levi was there or not. No matter how much the thought of him not raising your baby together hurt you.
Imagining it now caused a hole to form in your stomach, no Levi. No father for your child. No family Halloween costumes, no family Christmas pajamas. You wouldn’t watch your child’s dance recitals or basketball games together. You wouldn’t talk to Levi about how fast time flies and how you can’t believe how much they’ve grown.
You needed to stop thinking like this, you haven’t told Levi you were pregnant. The future isn’t set and stone. But you knew whatever happened, you were going to be a mother to this baby.

Dusty-Eyed Thief
-> Levi Ackerman x Fem!Reader
Synopsis: He was a thief, she was a princess. Can I make it any more obvious?
Content Warnings: royalty!au, enemies to lovers, fluff, banter, a budding forbidden romance, class differences, strained father-daughter relationship, mild violence, very unedited
Words: 3.5k words
Author's Notes: I know the Levi fandom is dead but I wrote this so so long ago, figured I'd give it a place here
Tumblr media
The kitchen is your sanctuary. It engulfs you with its tranquility, the blaring sound of clanking pots only adding to the rhythmic routine of it all.
The steam from the cooking dishes hugs you on this cold, cold night as you weave your way through the maze of workers. You smile as you're hit with the first blend of splendid smells. You make your way further into the kitchen to find the buttery treat that's meticulously packed by Niccolo and placed beneath a hidden, faulty tile on the floor. Niccolo is truly a blessing sent from the Gods.
Despite its tranquility, it is an unusual place for a lady to spend her time, yet you frequently find yourself here – costumed in an apron, playing the part like you belong.
At first, you were naturally worried about being caught, but that only lasted for a spare few minutes as you soon grew accustomed to the sequence of it all. And you found that while dressed as a commoner, you were nearly invisible in this castle. You took full use of it, maybe to the point of misusing it.
A few workers recognise you on occasion, but they refuse to report you to the King in an attempt to protect their own peace. Arguments between you and your father elicited a barrage of petty retorts, coming in from both ends, which heavily affected the workers that were unfortunate enough to be witnessing it.
You're certain your father would not approve of your ventures, despite the peep of fondness he has reserved for you. Actually, you're convinced that it is deep disdain he holds for you; it's only been coated with fondness to suit his purposes.
You actively have to stop yourself from thinking about him; you do not want those thoughts to permeate through into your sacred space. And besides, you have to stay alert.
Applying gentle pressure on the strings, you open the package to discover that he made you some cookies today. You have to contain yourself from jumping in glee, settling for a wide grin for now.
You want to procure some milk to have with the cookies. You close the package, although not packing it fully as you place it near the nearest window. It seems safe placed in a fairly unoccupied corner of the kitchen.
As you return with the milk, a pair of hands cover your eyes. The hands are roughly placed against your eyes, and you feel out worldly for a second — blank, confused, intrigued before you push him off, digging your nails into the culprit's hand.
You hear him yelp before you catch his face, the culprit. He is a boy with dusty blonde hair. He pulls his hands back into his chest, soothing it over with his other hand.
Another deep voice reaches your ears, and you perk up, your eyes flitting over to the open window as you try to find him. Was that window always open? What is happening?
“Why do you keep making this easy for us?” The other man's voice is adorned with pure mockery.
You’ve never moved faster in your life. (Well, except for that time you were on the verge of being traded for an assassin’s payment.) You rush up close to the window, looking down before you see him, he's standing on… you're not sure. He seems to be standing on thin air, but you know that is not the case.
Your eyes flit over to his blue eyes; you find hints of green in them as you stand there for a second, just staring at him. You're not sure what to do. He's probably a thief, a thief with pretty eyes. As you stare you think his eyes might be green, although you conclude a moment later that it could be a play of light. You can't tell if his eyes are green or blue.
He’s handsome too; you made that conclusion as soon as you saw the rest of his face, and you curse yourself for thinking that when you’re literally in front of a thief that has stolen your only source of joy. He's standing beneath you, but he holds a gaze that makes you feel like you're being towered by him; he seems a bit intimidating. Instinctively, you mold your eyes to mirror his, sharpening them as you were taught, as you practice.
You feel liquid trickling down your hand, and you realize you’ve dropped your milk. You only make note of it when feeling his eyes trail down.
You immediately rush to squat down to pick up the broken pieces of glass; you do not wish for any of the kitchen staff to get into trouble, although you are certain they will when they have to tally up the kitchenware by the end of this week. You make a quick note to discreetly pay Hange to buy it and replace it for you.
In your haste and state of disorientation, you prick your hand against the pointy edge of a fallen piece. And you instantly curse yourself.
"PRINCESS," Niccolo yells out to you, and your identity is out within mere seconds. You can guarantee Niccolo would have been more discreet if the situation hadn't been so strenuous. You look down and see a tinge of vermillion seeping out of the cut in your hand.
You look up to catch a glimpse of the two men, who appear to be leaving amidst the chaos. You see them in your peripheral sight, but you’re too late by the time you turn to look, all you witness is a retreating figure, making it out the window with a swift leap.
You are waiting for the sound – his body hitting the ground, broken bones, anything.
One. Two. Three. Four. Five seconds, and still nothing. You scramble to the window, only to see trees and utensils that are washed and stacked on a white cloth left to dry under the scorching sun.
“It’s the princess, get the doctor," a couple of kitchen staff make it to your side.
There’s an immediate sense of panic seeping out from within you. You’re certain your father is going to make your life difficult if he were to find out, which would happen if you were to be tended by the palace doctor. The prickling sensation grows; you need to see a doctor. You decide you’ll deal with it.
You’re also plagued with a sudden sense of intrigue. You can’t place it quite well, not at this moment, but you want to know what the color of his eyes were. You want to ask him why he stole your food but also, you want to be him. In most ways, it's all you've yearned for. You want to leap out that window and disappear into nowhere, wherever that is.
You run straight towards the arriving horses. You're greeted with a smile and a frown. You focus on the smile, one that adorns your brother’s face, giving him a quick hug before you move to face the frown. "I heard about your little culinary mishap, my dear. To make reparations, you are to attend the ballroom event tomorrow evening, and you must ensure that you do not flee as you have done these last several times that you believe I have not noticed," your mother’s voice is stern, declaring it as finality.
You decidedly agree, knowing you will find ways to leave halfway through the event, and she will ignore it as she always does. For, unlike your father, she does not believe you to be the bane of her existence.
"Now, come here and give me a hug, my lovely and incredibly irritating daughter," as though she was reading your mind and cementing your notions about her.
You reach your arms out to embrace her. You place your chin towards the crevice of her neck and you’re hit with the smell of rose and iris, maybe even amber. It smells distinctly the same as when she embraced you after the first of your many disagreements with your father. You remember how you kept a straight face during the altercation, but immediately broke down at the sign of him finally leaving, only to find comfort due to her presence.
“I shall arrive at the stupid ballroom floor and I shall look pretty doing it. I shall catch the eye of every person in the room and you will forgive me for any mishaps I will ever commit. Won’t you, mother?”
“You’re to catch the eye of every person at a secret debutante, are you?”
“Debutante? Why is it a secret?”
“It’s a secret for it adds an element of sincerity, does it not? Your brother can court an honest woman.”
“I hardly think any woman’s honest in a society that is designed against the very notion of honesty, and especially not in a room that is swarmed with eyes waiting for any acts that are even slightly misplaced. But, I do wish you the very best, brother.”
“Thank you for your wishes. If opportunity permits, we may even find someone for our dear older sister. You’ll be next in line for picking then. Isn’t that ever-so enthralling to hear?”, the mockery reaches your ears crisply. Maybe much too crisply, because you find your mother glaring up at him.
You laugh at that, knowing that you are within the shields of the walls of your castle, but most importantly with your mother.
“I implore you to take your time, brother. You will need it to court for a suitable wife, would you not?” You try to hide your obvious nervousness at the breach of a topic you have been avoiding for much of your life.
“I suppose you are right, sister,” he looks down at you with a reassuring smile.
You do not want to be tied down by marriage any time soon. You have yet to process the fact that this is not your forever home. Your forever home is beside a man that sees you as a china piece to display, apparently. But you find brief solace in the fact that you come from the most reputable family in this kingdom and you will not be disrespected in any form, for it would not bode well for them.
The ball is the pinnacle of opulence. It's primarily filled with tones of rose gold, complementing the white and golden hues of your ballroom. You sense the presence of grey and teal amongst the crowd; you presume they're worn by accolades to instate their titles. The royal family, on the other hand, is required to constantly stand out, which is why you find yourself snug in a golden embroidered gown.
You suspect your mother has overstepped the mark with her preparations. You move the curtain that separates you from the ballroom slightly to catch a glimpse of her. Her strong and ethereal countenance reveals little about who she is, simply asserting that she should be feared and admired in equal measure.
You think of your sister’s tales of a knight in shining armor that might have reached you, if only for a fleeting moment, it’s enough for you to believe that maybe you could find a man who is respectful, charming, and filled with the tender ache to cherish you and only you, always. It only lasts for a transient moment of weakness. You’re drawn back to reality when your sister reaches for your arm and loops it with her own.
"You look absolutely lovely," she remarks, as a matter of fact, whilst sporting a sweet smile. "Who are you, and what have you done to my unlovely wretched sister?"
"Very amusing," you quip promptly as if it's habitual to do so.
"Sister, if you were to stray away early this evening, I certainly would not ask for you to procure some pastries. Although, I would most definitely not mind them after a night as strenuous as this.”
“Only if you help me escape”
“I wouldn’t expect anything less,” she quips letting go of your hand. She has a faint smile on her face as she straightens her posture. And just like that, she transforms herself to be the elegant first daughter of the King, the one every maiden in the kingdom is taught to be like.
“You look radiant, sister. I’m sure there isn’t a man in this kingdom who wouldn’t fall head over heels to court you, and yet again, I implore you to take your time. I’m not saying this for my sake, not this time at least. I hope you find a kind man, the one you always told me you wished for” You try to smile, but it is hard to ignore the bleak truth that’s hidden within your words.
“Thank you for saying that” She seems to sense it too but her smile doesn’t waver; in fact, it grows, as though your words made a difference to her. That would be a first. You too can’t help but genuinely smile.
After about an hour of dancing and chatting away with people, you find that it would not be that hard for you to escape all on your own. You’re not the first diamond of a daughter or the most eligible bachelor of this season. You’re the second daughter and fourth child of the royal family that people will worry about impressing next season.
To not frighten your sister, you make it through the swarm of men waiting for their turn to dance with her; you inform her that you will take your leave, as discreetly as you can. You meet your mother’s eyes one last time before you leave. Every single time you escape you try to meet her eye, just to catch her when she sees you leaving but somehow you’ve never caught her.
You make your way to the kitchen, briefly showcasing your teeth to perform the act of duplicating a smile at every passerby that meets your eyes. There are a lot of people. You're frankly exhausted and your head is throbbing. Maybe some tea will help with the ailment.
You know that there won’t be kitchen staff present there since there is an exclusive kitchen for events as grand as this since it requires a massive scale of utensils.
You make it and it is murky. You reach out for the candle holder, placed at the entrance. You wince at the coldness of the brass. It holds three candles. You light all three of them, with muscle memory.
"Is your hand okay?", you hear the same deep voice and you frantically look around to spot him.
"Where are you?"
"Princess," you hear from behind you. This is honestly more frightening than the stuff you've read from your brother's atrocious shelf of literature.
You compose yourself. You will not falter and show weakness in front of a thief. "You are to greet me with respect. I am of the royal family," you punctuated every last word.
"I called you princess, didn't I?", he walks over to face you eye to eye, face to face.
"Gray'', you blurt out. You blurt it out far too quickly to calculate the embarrassment it would cause you. You feel it but you don't show it. It's one thing being part of a higher society has taught you.
His eyes are a stark sterling gray and that was rather unexpected to you. You thought about it extensively, maybe too extensively for the last two days. You concluded and expected it to be either green or blue.
His eyes remind you so much of thunderstorms. You happen to like them. They're distinctly heavy in color, but there's a variation that resonates something akin to…gentleness?
You're not why you're focusing much too much on his eyes, but they are beautiful and you could stare at them all day and night if you were allowed to. Maybe that's not an exaggeration.
"What?" he blurts out, rather confused. His eyebrows are bunched together like he's trying so hard to make sense of what you said. You refuse to bring ruin to your already faltering dignity, so you ignore the questions altogether to make room for your many questions.
You do not like not knowing things, not having reasoning for things. It bothers you immensely, for everything has a reason, does it not?
"Why are you here? Why were you here yesterday? Why did you steal my food? Do you do that often? How did you survive the jump?” Not giving him time to interject, you continue with your ramblings. “I have been thinking about what you said to me yesterday and it came to my attention that you implied this act of yours happens often. If so, why?"
This person bores a blank statement to their face. Either his facial features are impaired or he’s blatantly disrespecting you.
"You will answer me," you beseech him to answer. No, you're insistent. He doesn't budge, so you assemble all of your memories of your mother's severe glances to replicate it. You demand.
"Yes, I do it frequently, and no, I'm not answering the rest of your questions." You wait for a few seconds to see if he would budge. He does not.
"What motivates you to steal anyway?"
He stares, "Why was a princess like yourself dressed in a commoner's clothes?"
"I inquired first."
"I think you're more interested in my response than I am in yours." His eyes glint as he ever so slightly smirks, "Would you really like to play this out?"
"Very well. Just wanted some sweets really.” His mouth twitched upwards at the sight of you losing your temper. What a haughty man. “Does that answer satisfy you enough to answer mine?”
"Okay, princess.” He tilts his head a little when he mentions your title, it doesn’t sit right with you. And his tone is only a little condescending, you ignore it.
“Well, go on.” You urge.
"I was stealing food for my fellow people. The cookies were quite delicious. We thank the royal family for their utmost generosity," he says. His face is blank as you’re left baffled. You don't have time to be annoyed by his obvious mockery for something that could be seen as trivial as your long-gone cookies, for you find the way he said it interesting, to say the least.
"What do you mean?"
"Hmm? Dunno, we wanted something to sweeten the whole meal of dust and dirt we had for lunch. Do you get it now?” For the first time, there’s a hint of annoyance with you.
“I’m sorry. I–” You pause, your posture slackens for the first time today. “I don’t understand.”
His brows raise, but his face remains blank. “Yeah, I don’t expect anything else from a ditzy princess with all of her dresses and her little castles.”
You cinch your brows, “I am not ditzy,” you enunciate every single word of that sentence.
You only get a little dumb when you’re angry really and you’re trying not to get there right now as you force yourself to breathe through your nose. For some reason, you feel the need to prove you’re smart and capable. It’s odd, this may be the first time you have felt this way. You don’t generally feel someone asking for more of you. They expect you to be ditzy, not the opposite. “And we only have 3 castles…” Your voice trails out as he stares back at you. You said the wrong thing, you know how shallow you sound. You think his eyes must be hurting with the way he seems to narrow them down in judgment, every time you seem to speak.
“Well, since you seem to have 3 castles. You wouldn’t mind if we decided to take a small share of what you have, would you?”
“I don’t mind, I didn’t— I don’t— Uh—” You hear a noise, someone’s outside the door. You swivel your head to look.
No one. Nothing. An empty corridor is all that meets your eyes.
You sigh as you turn back, only — you see nothing. Your eyes squint around skimming the dimly lit kitchen. It’s almost like you were talking to a ghost of a man. Only the plain utensils and leftover food seem to be proof of his existence.
You blink in confusion, your heart racing as you search the dimly lit kitchen for any sign of the gray-eyed man. "What in the world..." you mutter to yourself.

Them comforting you...with a twist
Characters-Levi, Eren, Armin, Sasha
Trigger warnings ⚠️-blood, gun, death, not proof read
Note-i was in a mood and needed comfort when this came to me. Enjoy!
Levi
You pushed yourself forward, knocking a scout of the way of fire as a pun pointed, aming to shoot, a loud bang had you coughing up blood. You struggled to stay on your feet as two more bullets pierced your chest; more blood slipped passed your lips as you looked down as the waterfall of red liquid coming from your wounds, you stumbled sideways and off the tree branch, falling to the ground. With a swift motion Levi sliced the shooters head off, projecting his ODM gear to a tree he hung there as he caught your hand. Lowering you to the ground he kneeled beside you, grabbing your hand gently in his as he called out for you to open your eyes. He wanted to tell you that it was all ok, that you were ok but he couldn't, you were losing to much blood; he couldn't bring himself to lie to you not even as you lay on the grassy ground losing consciousness and seeing Levi for one last time.
Eren
He wasn't that far away when it happened, when a tiyan was slan and fell to the ground with a big thud, he watched as your house lifted from the ground and flipped over landing on your lower half. A loud cry of your name pulled you from the oain for a breef moment before a hand was on your shoulders, shaking you untill your eyes opened before threatening to close again. Eren yelled at you to keep your eyes open, the coldness traveled from your trapped legs to your crushed stumic until your hands were just as cold as the rest of you and soon your eyelids were far to heavy to keep open.
Armin
It was bad, he knew it was bad and so did you; he tried to keep tears in and keep a hopeful smile as to not let you be scared as you bleed to death, but he was failing as a tear sliped passed and he began to slightly shake. You laid on a roof top with Armin's hand wrapped gently around yours; blood passed the corners of your slightly parted lips, you stared blankly at the slight curve of Armin's downwards lips, his shirt blond hair dangling down and casting a small shadow over his forehead, his eyes more deep than the sea that he loves and bluer than the timeless sky; if you were being honest you wouldn't want to die without this view of him being the last thing you see.
Sasha
It all happened so fast, one moment you were standing by your friends, a girl climed on board, looking her way you seen as she lifted up her rifle and shot, a single shot that pirced your stumic, and the next moment you were on the ground, red liquid sleeping from you mouth and bullet wound as Sasha squeezed your hand, tears streaming from her eyes and down her face as she screamed your name and told you to stay awake. With dull eyes you slowly look at her and smile before breath your last breath.
The end
----------
Kinda want to make a part two to this, I've been in such a crying mood sence attack on titans last episode 💔 I seriously can't believe it's over🤕🤕 thank you for reading.

Poison
Tumblr media
Levi Ackerman x fem!reader, slight nsfw, angst, kind of toxic?
It's quiet, the room echoed of your soft moans and his grunts. You hold onto him tightly, your legs wrapped around his hips, his thrusts passionate. He can feel your warm walls squeezing around him, his hands holding you tightly against his body. "Fuck....I am close.." You hear Levi whisper, his lips trafe your neck before he bites, his cock slamming into you faster. It sends a shiver up your spine, a loud whine escaping your swollen lips.
Levi's lips move from your neck to your jaw and then to your lips, he kisses you sloppily. The passionate thrusts slow down, your pussy clamps down on him as you cum and that's all Levi needs, he pulls out of you just in time and cums all over your sweaty stomach, his head falling on your chest. It takes a few seconds for both of you to settle down, he opens his eyes when you run your hand through his hair.
You two lay like that for a little bit, just enjoying the feeling of each others skin. Eventually, Levi pulls back and looks at you. "We made a fucking mess. Stay I'll be right back." Nodding at his words, you smile as you watch him walk over to his dresser, his hair was a mess and his back had your scratches down his back. He grabs a towel and walks back over to you, without a word, he cleans up your stomach, gently wiping it off. He takes thay time to scan your body up and down, admiring the love bites that he left on your skin.
"You okay?" He asks, Levi knows that he can be rough in bed and he would hate himself if he hurt you accidentally. "All good." You give him a smile that he doesn't return, he never does. Levi nods and stands up before getting dressed, you feel yourself wanting to say something, ask him to stay but it's useless, you won't change his mind. "You're leaving already?" It slips out anyway and you hate how desperate you sound for him to stay.
"Got things to do." His attention isn't on you, he is too focused on getting dressed and adjusting his straps. The moonlight shines through the window, illuminating his skin which soon gets covered by the white fabric of his shirt. He uses your mirror to tie his cravat and fix his hair, by the time he is done, it's like you two never had sex.
Sitting up in bed, you sigh pulling the sheets over your naked body. "We have to talk about it eventually, Levi." There you go again, speaking before thinking, this catches Levi's attention and he turns to look at you while putting on his uniform jacket. "About what?" He knows, he just doesn't want to acknowledge it. "Us, this. All of it." You didn't want to sound angry but it comes out that way, you're frustrated with him and whatever it is going on between you.
Levi rolls his eyes and then sits on the bed to put his boots on. "Told you already, nothing to talk about." It's now your turn to roll your eyes, of course he acts this way when you get to him and you do get to him, more than he would like to admit. "Nothing? Is that way you always run away from it?" You will regret this, you can already tell. "I don't fucking run away from anything. There is nothing to run away from." A slight 'tch' leaves his lips as he stands up from your bed and then looks at you. "Don't fucking push it." He turns around to open the door but something stops him.
"What? Is the door locked?" The sarcasm in your voice makes the tension between you all the more noticeable. Levi doesn't have to turn around to know that you're tearing up, he hates hurting you, it's like a hundred titans bite him all at ones anytime he hurts your feelings. But he can't, there's too much at risk and you deserve better. Its already enough that he gives himself to you for those few hours of passion.
Levi turns around to look at you. "What are the tears for?" His voice is indifferent as if he is talking to anyone, a solider under his command, a stranger on a street, not you. "Nothing." You wipe them off with your hand but another wave of then keeps coming and you feel yourself tearing up again. "Good." He says. "Crying won't change my mind, nor make me stay. I told you that before." You shake your head, you feel like an idiot. "I don't care." The words coming out if your mouth meaning nothing with those tears in your eyes. "Neither do I." And with that he is out of your room, slamming the door behind him.
He made you cry a 100 times before, hurt your feeling a 100 times more but you'll always keep coming back to him. He was poison, venom that keeps going through your veins and no matter how hard you try, you'll never get rid of it.

I Think I Wanna Marry You
Pairing: Levi x fem!reader
Warnings: fluff, light angst but it’s a happy ending, levi being nervous about proposing.
Summary: You take great care of Levi, you always have. When Hange reveals your intentions of marriage to him, Levi does everything he can to make it happen- just be sure to add a few bumps.
So I know I promised this Levi fic out yesterday, but sadly life got in the way. My bad for any mistakes, I wanted to post this asap. ANYWAYS, I kinda got carried away with the original idea and went super wordy with it, so enjoy a longer fic <3
Tumblr media
Making your way outside was a struggle. Your vision was slightly obscured from the various items held in your arms.
“Excuse me.” You said as multiple scouts dodged out of your way. Some of them chuckled at you and others offered you help.
“You got it, (l/n)?”
“All good!”
Your boots scuffed across the dirt path as you walked carefully to the training grounds. The sounds of grunts and shuffling filled through your ears as you approached the open ground. You set the items down gently on the floor, careful not to knock anything over.
Taking a seat next to the pile, you rested your arm on your propped up leg, taking in the scenery in front of you.
Your eyes scanned over the crowd of soldiers sparring with each other until they settled on one.
His scouts jacket was set on a nearby bench and his white button up was untucking slightly from his movements. Sweat beaded down his face and his hair was swaying back and forth in front of his face.
The sun was brutally beating down on the grounds and you never understood how they could train so heavily in the scorching heat.
Levi was training with Miche. The two men, although different in size, were evenly matched. Miche threw a fist at Levi, but he quickly retaliated by knocking his arm away and sending a powerful kick to his abdomen. Miche grunted from the attack, but quickly straightened up as Levi charged at him once more.
The men threw hits back and forth until Levi managed to knock Miche off balance. Levi sent his leg to the back of Miche’s knee before jabbing his elbow on his back. The tall man hit the ground with a grunt.
“It’s not even a fair fight anymore.” Levi said, holding a hand out to help him up.
Miche chuckled and took it. “Let’s not forget I’m the one who kicked your ass first.”
Levi scoffed at his response, but he couldn’t deny it. He gave it his best, but Miche did manage to take him down in the Underground.
Miche wiped the dust from his uniform and met your watching eyes. He nodded his head at you and Levi turned around, looking at your sitting figure just feet from him.
You smiled at Levi as he approached you, a more mellow look on his face. “What are you doing here? I thought you had paperwork to finish.”
“I did, but I finished early and wanted to see you.” Standing up, you turned to the pile you brought with you. “Here.”
“What’s all this?” His steel eyes scanned over the pile.
“I got you some water.” You handed him the jug, which he graciously accepted. “Then I brought you a towel.”
Again, he took the item.
“And some food in case you were hungry.”
“(Y/n).” Levi started, but you rambled on, pulling out various items.
“I didn’t know if you were getting sunburned or not, so I also brought some of that cooling balm from the market.”
“(Y/n).”
“Oh! I also brought some of that bug spray Hange made. I know the mosquitos are brutal this time of year-”
“(Y/n), darling.” Levi said firmly. You paused mid sentence and looked up at him. “I appreciate it, believe me I do, but you didn’t need to do all this.”
“But I wanted too.” You answered back.
Levi chuckled. “I can see that. How on earth did you carry everything?”
Shrugging, you wrapped the towel around his neck and used the end to wipe the sweat off his face. Then you opened the cooling balm and slathered some of the goo on your fingers. “I have my ways.”
Before Levi could speak up, your fingertips attacked his face and started spreading the balm on his reddened cheeks and nose.
You notice a few scouts staring at your actions. Clearly trying not to laugh at their strong Captain getting pampered. “The hell are you staring at? Get back to training!”
The scouts quickly ducked their heads and walked away.
“I don’t need all this, darling.” He insisted.
“Your face says otherwise.” You smiled. “Finish your water.”
Levi wrapped an arm around you waist and pecked your cheek. “Thanks.”
————
After a brutal day of training and working on the new scout formation with Erwin, you were beat. You settled into your sleepwear for the night and made your way to Levi’s office, a tray of tea balanced in your hand.
Your knuckles wrapped against the door briefly before you shoved the door open, taking a second to rebalance the tray of very hot tea. Levi was doing his infamous resting face as he saw your figure unceremoniously enter the room.
“Tch, I could’ve been in a meeting.”
You walked over to his desk and placed the tray down. Setting a cup in front of him, you carefully poured him his tea. “Yeah, and…? The higher ups love me.”
“If you say so.”
You shot him a playful glare and he gave you a small smile in return. He picked up his tea from the top of the cup and brought it to his lips.
“Careful, it’s hot.” You warned him.
“Really? I couldn’t tell with the all the steam.”
“Okay, Mr. Grumpy, finish your tea and we’ll head to bed. I’m tired.” You poured a small amount of milk into your own cup, stirring it gently with a small spoon, a gentle clinking sound echoing in the room.
Levi took a sip and placed the cup down, picking up his pen and scribbling his signature down on a few spots. “I’m not stopping you, darling. If you’re tired, go to bed. You know I don’t go to bed at a decent hour.”
“Yeah, that’s gonna change.” You said nonchalantly and took a small sip. “Finish up, cause we’re going to bed in 20 minutes.”
“Darling-”
“No, I want to try something.” You cut him off.
Levi let out a small sigh, but nonetheless nodded at you. “Alright.”
After about 15 minutes, Levi shuffled his papers together and placed your empty cups back on the tray.
“C’mon.” His hand grasped yours and he led you to his quarters. The room was very simple and tidy, not a speck of dust either. You looked at the small bookshelf in the corner of the room filled with countless romance novels you recommended to him.
“Did you read ‘Just Us’ yet?” You asked and settled into his bed, the scent of fresh linen filling your nostrils. The book was laying on the nightstand, the bookmark peeking out of the bottom of the book.
“I started it, but haven’t had time to finish it.” He said and started to undress.
“You should! It’s about a young couple that fell in love instantly and their life- oh my god, the wedding scene! Ahh~” You rolled across the bed and draped an arm frantically over your forehead.
Levi deeply chuckled at you. “Yes, you’ve told me countless times about it.”
“Yeah, cause you should read it.” You rolled your eyes.
“I will, I will. Now, what did you want to try?” Levi sat on the edge of the bed and turned towards you, now dressed in more comfortable clothes.
“Come here.” You quickly sat up and made grabby hands towards him. Levi obeyed and sat closer in front of you.
“Now what?”
“Lay down.”
“Darling, I cuddle you, not the other way around.” Levi crossed his arms.
“Shut up, you old man. Just do what I say.”
Levi scoffed and hesitantly laid down against you. His head was leaning on your chest as you sat up against the headboard and shuffled under the blankets.
Levi was stiff against you, clearly not used to the position.
“Relax, Lee.” Your hand brushed through his hair, trailing down his undercut. “Close your eyes.”
So he did. He let his eyes drop shut and focused on trying to fall asleep. The steady beating of your heart lulling him into a relaxed state.
He threw an arm around your stomach and pulled his body closer to yours. You tried not to coo at the sight and continued trekking your fingers through his hair. Levi seemed to like the gesture and you thought if he was a cat, he’d be purring up a storm.
The room was silent as you picked up the book on the nightstand, your hand fumbling to set up the book in a way without disturbing Levi.
Flipping through the chapters, you found your favorite part. The wedding.
Levi was snuggled up against you, soft snores escaping his lips as he was clearly knocked out.
Idiot. Watch me find out he’s a bottom, too.
You read through the book, the vivid detail and dialogue playing out perfectly in your head. You could only hope it could be you and Levi in the novel.
The main character reminded you so much of Levi. Very strong and intimidating, until he met the love of his life.
After the ceremony, the couple in the novel secretly snuck out into the garden of their reception. A stolen dance away from everyone else. The scene was intimate and private as the couple swayed under the moonlight. Drunken laughter heard from inside their venue, but they didn’t care. Their dance was something you only dreamt of with Levi.
“Maybe one day.” You murmured, now very sleepy. Sagging down against the headboard, you pulled Levi tighter against you and shut your eyes.
——————
“You seem well rested.” Hange commented at Levi. She was right, while he still remained his usual self, he was more relaxed and not so much on edge.
“(Y/n) helped me sleep last night at a decent hour.” He replied and looked over some of Hange’s notes.
Hange hummed in response.
“You know she wants to marry you, right?” They said.
Levi froze in place, his eyes widening at the comment. “W-what?”
“Don’t act stupid, Levi. I knew you were a guy, but I still thought you were one of the few that had a brain.” Hange laughed at the stiffened man, their smile faltered slightly as he didn’t seem to relax. “You did know that, right?”
“I-uh. W-well-” Levi couldn’t find the words. “How do you know?”
“Cause she told me.” Hange replied, sticking their face in their microscope, analyzing some new Titan sample.
“When?”
“A few weeks ago.”
“And you’re just telling me now?” Levi said clearly irritated.
“Damn, shorty, I thought you knew. That girl loves you to death. Have you seriously never thought about it?”
Of course he has. He’s thought about it every day. Levi was hesitant, though. Not about wanting to marry you, just scared something bad will happen after everything he’s been through. Everything he’s loved in his life was brutally ripped from him, so he’s always carried that fear inside of him.
“I have- I do want to marry her.”
Hange smiled at him. They rolled their eyes and gave out a loud laugh. “Then what the hell are you waiting for?! Get to it.”
—————
“Levi, I bought some of those nice smelling oils you like. Ya know the ones from that small shop in town?” You opened the small bag and set the vials on his desk.
Levi didn’t look up from his papers, a small hum leaving his lips as he was clearly not paying attention.
“Lee, you okay?” You asked and tilted your head at him, you noticed he tensed up as you got closer to him.
“Mhm.” He didn’t look up, his eyes still scanning through the papers.
“You sure? You seem distracted.”
He let out a heavy sigh and his hard eyes met yours. “I’m fine, just trying to work, (Y/n).”
Your shoulders sagged at his tone, clearly confused. “Maybe you’re just stressed. Do you want to head to bed? You slept so good the other night, like you woke up and your hair was sticking-”
“Trying to work, (Y/n).” He repeated sternly, making you frown.
“O-oh. Okay, I’ll leave you alone, then.” You said quietly and reached for the vials set on his desk.
Putting a few back in their bag, your hand grazed the last one when it fell forwards and collided with the ground.
The small glass jar shattered upon impact, making Levi’s eyes scan to the mess now on the floor. You flinched at the sound and quickly bent down the pick up the broken jar, nose wrinkling as the strong scent invaded your nostrils.
“Shit, sorry.”
Levi abruptly stood up, the chair screeching against the floorboard and his hand reached up to touch his forehead. “(Y/n)…”
Your eyes met his from the floor.
“I’m trying to work. Please just go.”
“I know, I’m leaving. I just thought these would cheer you up.”
Levi rolled his eyes and opened the window behind his desk. “Yeah, and now I’m going to have a headache from the oils scent. Thank you.”
Your lip wobbled at his words, clearly feeling hurt by his annoyed mood. “Look, I don’t know what’s wrong with you, but you don’t have to take it out on me.”
“I’m trying to work! For gods sake, (Y/n).”
You stood up from your spot on the floor and bit your lip in a weak attempt to not cry. “You don’t have to be an asshole.”
Turning on your heel, you made your way to leave the room. A body suddenly blocked the doorway and you glanced up, before ducking your head down and brushing past him.
“Commander Erwin.”
Erwin looked at you with a confused expression and tried to ask what happened as he noticed the tears escaping your eyes, but you quickly left before he could.
His gaze looked towards Levi and then the broken vial on the floor, a stern look adorning his features. “Care to explain?”
Levi let out yet another sigh and angrily rushed a hand through his raven hair. “I’m stressed out and I took it out on her.”
Erwin let out a ‘hmph’ at Levi’s explanation. “She’s just trying to help you.”
Levi knew that. Of course he knew that. Everything he’s been doing has been stressing him out lately trying to make everything perfect for you.
Yeah, you were right, he was an asshole. Levi reached into his drawer and pulled out a rag. He crouched down to the spill and covered the liquid. “I know, I just don’t want her to find out. I left the fucking book on the desk and I thought she’d see it.”
Levi removed a few papers off his desk and revealed the open book of ‘Just Us’ flipped to the wedding chapter. He had several lines were underlined and circled with details annotated.
Erwin shut the door behind him and stepped closer, letting out a grim chuckle. “Well, you certainly took care of that, didn’t you?”
“Tch.” Levi glared at the commander. “What the hell are you doing here anyways? It’s late.”
Erwin pulled out a a few papers folded together. A letter. “I managed to get in contact with the jeweler. Told him about the rather sad income out soldiers receive along with your story.”
Levi crossed his arms hardened his gaze. “So you made me out as some basket case?”
“Not necessarily. It doesn’t matter, what matters is that he cut the price in half.” Erwin handed Levi the papers. Levi tore the papers from his grasp them and scanned over the writing, his eyes widened as he read through.
“He wants me to pick it up in the morning.” Levi whispered and felt his hands getting clammy. This was it. Tomorrow morning he’d have the ring.
The ring he picked out for you, his future wife.
———
“Levi?” You knocked on the door to his office.
You woke up to an empty bed this morning and you thought he was still mad at you from last night, so you made him some tea as a peace offering.
No answer. You opened the wooden door to the room, the loud creaking ringing out in the empty room.
“He’s not here.” You recognized Erwin’s voice from behind you. You jumped at his words, not expecting him to appear behind you.
Your hand rebalanced the sloshing cup of tea in your grip. “Where is he?”
“He went into town.”
For what? Levi never really liked to venture into the city on his own and if he did, he always took you with him. You knew he’d much rather prefer a nice stroll in the forest or around the courtyard, so hearing this was a surprise. “Oh, alright. Would you like some tea, sir? I’d hate to see it go to waste.”
Erwin nodded and took the cup from you and set a hand in your shoulder. “Are you okay? You looked rather upset last night.”
You stiffened at his question and nodded your head. “Y-yeah. Sorry about that, sir. We kind got into it.”
The commander gestured for you to walk with him and so you did. The halls were mostly empty, only a few scouts lingering before starting their daily duties. “Stop with the formalities, (Y/n). You don’t have to apologize for your feelings. He’s under a lot of stress right now and I had sent him to go meet up with some of the MP’s.” The lie easily slipped off his tongue as you both stopped in front of his door.
“I understand he’s stressed,” you started and turned the corner to his office. “I just don’t want him to feel like he can’t talk to me about it.”
Erwin took out the key to his office and unlocked the door. “If I know Levi, he doesn’t want his own stress to add on to yours.” The door opened with a loud creak. “Give him some time to cool off and figure things out. You didn’t do anything wrong, please don’t forget that.”
His words brought you a sense of calming. It was nice to hear it from someone else. But until Levi wasn’t upset, you’d continue to think otherwise.
“Thank you, Erwin.” You smiled up at him through watery eyes.
“Of course, my office is always open when you need me.” He gestured to the opened door, making you laugh. “Why don’t you go help Miche? He’s dealing with the new squads and you know how hard he can be.”
“Yes, sir.”
—————
The day dragged on slowly with your mind being clouded on Levi. You weren’t mad at him, just concerned. Both of you had worked so hard to communicate your feelings and concerns throughout your relationship so that situations like this wouldn’t happen.
“Squad 3 advance in! Give Squad 1 their chance to recover!” Miche shouted at the training soldiers. The squads were practicing with some of the new Titan dummies, thanks to Hange and some of the Garrison soldiers, they were able to have more movement and spin on the mechanisms. It gave training more of a purpose since they weren’t just stiff pieces of wood anymore.
You stood next to Miche, surprised by the new recruits. “What do you think of them?” You asked.
“They’re good, still need work though. They won’t be truly ready until they’re face to face with the real thing.” His arms were crossed and a hardened expression carried on his face.
You nodded at his words and a small silence washed over you both as you continued with training.
“Are you going to address the elephant in the room?”
“We’re outside.”
“Don’t be a smartass, you know what I mean.” He gave out a small chuckle.
“Erwin?” You asked and sighed when the man nodded. “Dammit.”
“Everything okay?” Miche always treated you like a little sister. Watching out for you and being protective before you and Levi had started dating. Miche wasn’t too happy when he found out you liked him and knowing how Levi could be, but as he saw how Levi was allowing himself to become closer with you, he eventually pushed you two together.
“Yeah, I guess I just caught him at a bad moment.” Shrugging it off, you tried to downplay the situation. The more you talked about it, the more it wracked your brain.
“Still doesn’t excuse it though, (Y/n).” He replied, voice now more serious. “Just give me the signal and I’ll beat his ass.”
You laughed. “Didn’t he kick you to the floor the other day?”
Miche’s response made you squeal as he wrapped an arm around your neck and dragged his knuckles across your hairline. “Ah, I’m sorry!”
—————
Levi hands felt clammy, he was nervous. Very nervous. He was walking through the halls at a brisk pace, desperate to find you.
The small velvet box in his pocket felt like it weighed a hundred pounds as it gently bumped against his thigh with every step.
Levi took a deep breath and knocked on your door. A faint ‘come in’ was heard and he pushed the door open slowly.
“Levi?”
His steel blue eyes met yours hastily. You were still in your casual clothes, your sleepwear in your hands.
“I-I, uh. Shit.” He muttered, losing his confidence.
“Is everything okay? You look like you’ve seen a ghost, want me to put some tea on?” Concern was laced with your voice.
Fuck, how the hell were you so sweet to him? Even after he snapped at you last night for no reason, you still found a way to take care of him. Swallowing the bile in his throat, Levi straightened his posture.
“No, darling, I’m alright.” He made his way over to you and he took both of your hands in his. You gave Levi a concerned face, why was he acting so strange?
“(Y/n)…” Levi started, thumbs nervously rubbing over the back of your hands. “Listen, I need to apologize for last night. I was being a jerk and you didn’t do anything for me to speak to you in that way.”
His thumb then trailed over to your left ring finger. The area naked and bare, but not for long, he hoped.
“Aw honey, why do you look so distressed? It’s okay.” Your gaze softened and you reached up to rub your thumb against his cheek, you raised a brow when you realized his face had a thin layer of sweat. “Erwin told me everything.”
Levi almost choked on his spit and his eyes widened. “H-he what?”
“Yeah, he told me how he had to send you in town for all those errands with the MP’s. I’d be mean about it too.”
Oh, thank god.
Levi let out a sigh in relief. “N-no, that’s not w-why-shit.”
You started to become concerned for him. The poor guy was starting to sweat and now he’s stuttering. He only did that when he’s nervous.
“Levi, I need you to be honest with me right now, you’re letting your thoughts get the best of you. What is going on?” Now your own thoughts started to haunt your mind. “Are you…”
Oh god, you didn’t even want to finish your sentence, afraid it going to be true.
“Are you breaking up with me?”
“Oh, no- god, fuck no.” Levi quickly reassured you. He wrapped his arms around your frame and pulled you close to him. Your arms remained at your side. You were beyond confused on what was happening. “Just come with me outside, it’s like a sauna in here.”
Levi knew you were getting really suspicious now, hell it was the middle of autumn and it left the stone castle feeling like an ice tundra, but he couldn’t help the way his cravat suddenly felt like it was suffocating him.
Leading you through the hallway, his hand never left yours, and neither did the puzzled look on your face. You thought it was going to be a simple apology, he literally just gave it to you, but for some reason he’s dragging it out.
The chilly air surrounded your figure, making you instantly shiver. The breeze was light, but the air cold. Levi was sure to cool down in this weather. The full moon lit up the base with hues of blue casted shadows. The crickets and cicadas chirped their songs along with the rustling of dead leaves as they plummeted to the earth.
“Here, darling.” Levi said and draped his jacket over your shoulders, you graciously accepted it. The man now stood in front of you in just his white button up and black slacks.
“Okay, sorry about that whole mess back there.” A slight red tinted his face. “I’m nervous about this.”
“What-?”
“I love you, so fucking much. I was scared as hell when we first got together, because I was afraid you’d leave me like everyone else. Besides, Miche made it very clear he didn’t like me.”
You let out a small giggle at his words, and he continued.
“Eventually he came around, and surprisingly enough everyone supported us. Sure, a bit of teasing here and there but that’s the fun part. Anyways- fuck, sorry, I don’t mean to keep rambling on. What I’m trying to say is Hange told me that you said you’ve been thinking about marriage-”
Your eyes widened and you mouth dropped open. Dammit Hange. This could go one of two ways…
“And so have I.” His finger reached up to your chin and pushed your mouth closed. “It hasn’t left my mind since I realized I love you, and I was scared you weren’t ready yet, but hearing it gave me all the reassurance I needed.”
Levi’s hands patted the pockets of his slacks and he could swear his stomach dropped 6 feet when he couldn’t find the small box. His gaze suddenly shifted to his jacket you had wrapped around your shoulders. With an awkward reach and a disappointed sigh, Levi reached into the coat pocket and pulled out the box.
“The reason we got into a fight yesterday was entirely my fault. Erwin lied to cover for me, I went into town for this and I was trying to work on the proposal and there were things on the desk that might have spoiled it.”
You gasped and covered you mouth with your hands when you saw the velvet box. There’s no way. Tears immediately welled in your eyes as he opened the ring box.
It was stunning, a silver band with a glimmering diamond in the center along with smaller diamonds strewed around the bands.
“Now, there’s about a thousand different ways I wanted this to happen, but I wanted to do this now. I need you to know that I will always love you. No matter what stupid fights we have, no matter who is angry at who, I’m here for it… all of it. You care for me so much, as I do you and no one has ever treated me as kindly as you have. So I ask you…”
Levi dropped down to one knee, his fingertips brushing against the box. “(Y/n) (L/n), will you marry me?”
You were speechless for a moment, trying to decipher if this was real or not. Sniffling you nodded your head and rushed out your answer.
“Yes, of course.”
Levi slipped the ring on your finger with tears in his eyes and stood back up. His hand brushed away a few tears that escaped down your face.
You pulled him in for a hug and started crying into his shoulder. “I love you.”
Levi pulled you tighter against him, his lips planted themselves across your forehead. “I love you too, darling.”
“I can’t wait to marry you.”

Tumblr media
grapes were levi’s favourite fruit. they weren’t easy to find, so he would pop them in his mouth one by one, because it meant he could enjoy them for longer. occasionally, he would stretch over the table and offer you one, giving you a disgusted look when you licked his finger playfully. he still smiled when he thought you weren’t looking.
“what are you reading?” he asked, his voice echoing in the empty kitchen.
“hange’s new tactic for tomorrow.” you held the pages up, sighing deeply. “they’re crazy if they think we’re coming back alive after this.”
his pained expression made you feel almost guilty for stating your worry. your eyes softened and you tried to forget about the upcoming expedition with a handful of grapes.
“hey!” he gasped when you shoved them all in your mouth, leaving the bowl almost empty. the way you laughed and gestured for him to come over made him forget about it quickly.
“i’ll get you more of them, you big baby.” levi slid his chair back and walked around the table, throwing his arms around you and kissing the top of your head.
“promise?”
“yeah, i promise i’ll get you more grapes, levi.” you rolled your eyes.
“no, promise you’ll be safe tomorrow. things might get out of hand and if we get separated...”
i won’t be able to protect you
he wanted to say, but never could. the way his arms tightened around you and his lips fell on your cheek, let you know what he meant. you basked in the moment, caressing his rough hand with your own bandaged one.
“y/n? it’s 4 in the morning, you…” a voice broke you out of your thoughts. you felt cold all of a sudden, and looked up to see levi was gone. the chair across from you was empty, but for an all too familiar jacket hanging on the back of it.
the grapes in the bowl were covered by a thin layer of mold.
right. you never had the chance to bring them to him.

“Please, open the door”
Tumblr media
You sat alone in your room, tears streaming down your face as the pain weighed heavily on you. The familiar sound of rain hitting against the windows filled the air, thunder booming in the background every so often. Your mind running with the image of Levi over and over again.
Every word he had spoken still lingered in, as you played the hurtful scene over and over again. His piercing, cold gaze cut through you when he told you that he wanted to end things between you. You’d pleaded with him through choked sobs, begging for him to give you a good reason why. “Please, Levi, don’t do this.” But his stubbornness prevailed.
You’d stormed off to your room. Throwing yourself on your bed as the sobs wracked your body. Not able to move, the echoes of Levi’s words running circles through your mind. Minutes turned into hours, as you lay there. Unable to accept that Levi had walked out of your life. Time seemed to lose all mean as you wracked your brain trying to understand.
That is, until a knock at your door broke through the sound of your sobs. “Come on, open the door," Levi called out, his familiar gruff voice had a remorseful edge. You just lay still, not knowing what to do. Part of you desperately wanted to open the door, throw your arms around him and forget. The other part of you, however, wanted to slap him. Punish him for the pain he’d put you through.
His knocks became louder, but all you could do was stare at the door, unable to move. “Open the door Y/N….please.”
Levi had always been a man of few words, keeping his emotions locked away. You knew better than that, underneath his stoic and aloof nature was a caring and empathetic man. He didn’t show it, sometimes not even to you. But it was there, always seeping through the cracks, bleeding out through actions.
But lately, the distance between you had grown. The weight of his responsibility and the horrors he faced as humanity's strongest soldier proved to be too much for him. You tried to support him, the best you could, but his stubbornness was unwavering.
The sound of another knock broke through your thoughts. “If you don’t open this door I am going to kick it down.” Levi spoke, frustration in his voice.
Suddenly, you were face to face with him. You couldn’t remember opening the door, couldn’t even remember standing up, but here you were face to face with the man who’d caused the tears streaming down your face.
With trembling hands, you wiped away your tears. “I'm sorry," he said. Tears threatened to spill again as you looked into his eyes, seeing the sadness hidden beneath his cold gaze. "Levi... why?" you managed to choke out, your voice trembling.
He walked past you, inviting himself in and you closed the door behind him. “I thought distancing myself from you would keep you safe. I convinced myself that I was doing the right thing, but I realize I was wrong.”
Looking into his steel eyes, seeing a hint of remorse behind them, you couldn't help but forgive him, even though the pain he had caused still lingered.
"I was wrong." He repeated, hesitantly reaching out to wipe a stray tear from your cheek. “I’m sorry. It wasn’t my intention to hurt you.” You rested your hand on top of his.
“I know Levi, I know. You just…I’m here for you. You’re so hell bent on protecting me but you can’t do that if I don’t have you by my side. Can’t you see that?”
“I know. I see that now.” he said, his gaze never faltering from you. “I need you to.” he admits. You throw your arms around him, you can help it really. He groans a little, like he always does, but you swear you feel him melt into your touch…even if just for a moment.
“I love you Levi. We’ll get through everything…together.” You say, searching his eyes. He leans in and places a soft kiss to your lips. “I know, I love you to.”
As the rain continued to pour outside, the two of you stood there, holding each other as a sense of peace and newfound understanding washes over you.

Nothing's new.
Inspired by the song
TW: Angst, Self-harm, Suicide, Fighting, mention of Death, Fem!reader x a bit ooc Levi
A/N: feeling angsty, might feel cute later. Probably making this a series
Part 1/2
Slanted words: Levi
Normal words: you
(idk how to describe it, ffs)
--------------------------------------------------------------
Nothing's new, that's what you would describe it. After every mission, You'd come home either dreaded, injured, or sick. You could see the dead comrades around you, it was tiring. You could just wish that it'd be you every time that someone dies, because you knew that you've served your purpose. Well that's what you thought, It's been years, nothing changed. You try to cope in healthy ways, but it always ends with a blade on your wrist, blood slowly dripping. You were either seen with bandages on your arms, the scouts tend to be worried about you, especially Levi. Levi never admits that you held some sentimental value to him, he thinks it was weak of him. One night, you had enough, You went to that one abandoned building outside the walls, you saw how beautiful the sky was.
"Wow..And here I thought I would never see such beauty."
You said as you exhale, You look at the sky then below the ground, the height was high, but with the amount of experience you had with the ODM gear says otherwise. You took off your gear and jacket and threw it on the ground, for some reason there were tears in your eyes.
"why am I crying? Isn't this what I wanted.."
You muttered under your breath. Before you could take that one leap of a step, you heard someone behind you.
"Stop! Don't you dare take another step..!"
It was a familiar voice.
"Y/N please..! Spare your life."
You looked behind you, it was Levi. Why was he here?
"let's talk, please. Just step off the ledge"
Why was he begging? You step off from the ledge and look at him, when you thought he was calm, you were wrong.
"Levi, why are you-"
Before you could finish your sentence, he instantly yelled
"what the hell..!? Why are you ending your life? Why are you hiding all this pain as if nothing happened!"
Your eyes widened up, you clenched your jaw trying to hold back the tears
"you don't understand Levi-"
"Cut the bullshit, Y/N. Why don't you open up to us? To..me?"
"Because it isn't easy! You know the times I have been used because I keep opening up?! Tell me, do you think you can easily trust somebody after knowing people can use the darkest shit to manipulate you?"
He was stunned, suddenly tears left your eyes. You were breaking down. You were angry, upset, in disbelief. God, Levi felt a sense of guilt and sadness. Almost breaking his cold facade.
"Nothings new, Levi. Everyday we face death, We never know when we will fucking die..or when our own comrades die."
Levi couldn't say anything. It was true, you were facing death everyday with your comrades, not knowing when your last day was.
"Y/N, that doesn't mean you would just let your life go."
After that cold night, Levi took you to his quarters, he may hate the feeling of having people over. But that night, you were an exception. He made some tea and let you open up to him, knowing that your words are safe from him. People keep saying Levi is a cold person, almost having no heart. But you could say the opposite.
"Just because life doesn't go your way. Doesn't mean there's another path waiting.."
"God that was corny, change it!"
You laugh, he lets out a chuckle. How will this end? Will you finally open up, or close off your heart once again till it piles up and pours out.
