my verdict on ark is that dt is like. the only celebrity voice actor in it that is doing a really good job but i forgive it bc the rep is pretty good

Without Marvel she wouldn't have skyrocketed in her career, and she is beyond grateful to them for that, but she more importantly has them to thank for finding you, and the sweet, domestic life she now lived with you and Leo. The pretty little boy grew in her body, but he shared your likeness, as you hadn't the time to be pregnant yourself, so IVF it was until 2026 when your contract with Marvel was finally up.

When you finally turned to take in your wife after droning on about today's filming, you noticed the deep pout she wore, and you softly pecked it away. "What's troubling you, love?"

"I miss Leo," she confessed quietly, and you smiled sadly at her, the ache in your chest was the same as his smiling face tauntingly flashed through your mind, "Me too my love, I miss his kissable little face, and his sweet giggles at the inappropriate hour of 2am," you kissed her pout away, and smiled as she herself giggled.

"It'll be okay soon, my last scenes today and tomorrow you'll have that important meeting, then we'll steal him back from your moms."

Scarlett burrowed into your offered embrace with a muffled huff, "I miss his baby smell."

"Me too," you snorted as you swayed her body.

"Wait, did you say you had a steamy scene with Lizzie today?" Scarlett's mind finally caught up to your previously uttered words, and that once soft pout of hers slipped into a deep scowl.

You chuckled softly, "I'd hardly call it steamy," your wife however wasn't amused, "It's a kiss."

"A kiss that will create a hoopla of rumors."

"Scarlett," you sighed, it was always the same insecurity, and you'd never get mad at her for it, the fans edits can be quite convincing seeing as how you and Lizzie are literal best friends.

"They have been shipping us since the dawn of time, and that's cause I'm an amazing actress," you subtly reminded her of your profession, the one she shares with you, "Do you know how many men I've had to see you macking with?"

Scarlett shrugged, a silent gesture in attempt to brush passed your honest counter to hers.

"It doesn't really matter either, because I am assured every night when I come home to your loving embrace that you're all mine, and it's not a question baby, I'm irrevocably yours."

"I just wish they'd stop it, you know? We're all married now, with our families in the making."

"Yeah, but also Scar, when you agreed to marry me you knew Lizzie was apart of that deal," you teased her as you brought her into the dressing room so you could prepare for the kiss scene.

Scarlett rolled her eyes, it was the truth, she of course saw Lizzie as family, but she didn't have to like the way the world of Hollywood works.

Elizabeth was your first connection at Marvel as you started filming together, so it was no shock that the two of you hit it off. Then your alliance was set in stone from the moment Age of Ultron hit theaters. People shipped your character with Wanda's, but it was a different era, so the palpable chemistry between you and your new friend was swept under the rug, and it was exchanged for a queer coded on screen pining on your character's ends as she explored the more sellable at the time ship with Vision.

As fandoms do though, they took the shipping a step further and soon it was you shipped with Lizzie. Clips from differing press junkets were stitched together, along with solo interviews where you'd be questioned about the other. Elizabeth and you were platonic soulmates, so it was easy for fans to romanticize your replies.

At the time you were out, you never once hid from Hollywood, and neither had Lizzie, she didn't expressly label herself, but the way she spoke so candidly at times gave her away. So the shipping didn't bother either of you much. But it did bother Scarlett, she had her eyes on you from day one, and once she had you she was constantly afraid you'd leave her for the mutual friend who wasn't still hiding away.

Throughout the years it had only got more and more aggressive, and it infuriated your now wife. It occurred at its peak during a time when Scarlett hadn't wanted to have to come out yet. She was still trying her darnedest to wipe away her forced image as a sex symbol, the last thing she needed was creeps fetishizing your love.

However, after about three interviews with your posse of girls during the Infinity War junket your lover finally lost her composure. Four years of having the love she'd built up with you overshadowed by indecent rumors, well that was enough to drive her to break.

They'd handed the three of you a bin of spicy tweets, and when she was handed one to read about you topping Lizzie she lost it, she glared at the unsuspecting man, throwing the ball of paper at him just before staring directly at the camera as she muttered: "The only person Y/N is topping is me, so suck on that scwitch22."

Scarlett wasn't even embarrassed afterwards, she simply took the spot in your lap, and the interview continued on without a hitch, the tweets were significantly thinned out though. No one wanted to risk another outburst from the shockingly intimidating blonde woman.

"Yeah, as our good friend, not my sister wife," Scarlett eventually huffed after moments of silence, she was too busy watching you change. You looked up to see her arms crossed under her enlarged chest, with her plump lips pursed, and you just could not help but to tease her.

"Well, Leo will one day call her auntie, why not change it to mom?" You dodged her hand as she tried to slap your exposed shoulder, "Y/N, stop testing me, I am still rather hormonal, and unless you wish to be on Snapped, I'd stop."

"A feature on my favorite show?" You gasped with a hand flying over your grinning lips, "You're just the sweetest wife ever my dear."

Before she could actually bring life (or death) to her words you snaked an arm around her waist and pulled her in for a pre hair and makeup kiss. "Stop stressing over the press, you have nothing to worry about, I'm yours!"

The kiss was sickeningly soft, and far too quick for either of your likings, "I love you," you whispered against her lips. "I love you too," she tried to mindlessly chase your lips, but as you pulled away with an apologetic smile she pettily grumbled, "I'm also still mad at you."

"Story of my life," you remarked with a laugh and an indifferent shrug of your shoulders.

Scarlett rolled her eyes at your retreating figure, then after three short minutes stood alone she reluctantly (desperately) followed after you to the trailer for hair and makeup.

Watching you getting into character brought a smile to your lover's face, she adored how you took this role so seriously. Resentments to the rumors aside, she admires the way you and Liz had crafted such a beautiful, long winded story for the fans to devour. Today's scene is actually monumental for the MCU, it's the first intimate confirmation for Wanda and Eliza, so she let her anger go in favor of supporting you.

"You're gonna do great," she whispered into your ear from behind your designated chair, she'd seen your tightly furrowed brows, all she wanted to do was make you feel at peace. You slowly peered up from your script to lock eyes with her through the mirror, and she smiled reassuringly along with her words. "Thanks."

Scarlett nodded, "How can I help my love?"

For the next ten minutes you ran lines with her, there was no reason to worry about her leaking the contents, she wasn't Tom Holland. The woman was a MCU veteran, and knew how to deflect even the slipperiest of questions.

A smirk graced her face as the loosely described kissing scene was up next, she was always looking forward to practicing such lines with you, whether for her film or yours, it didn't matter much; the prospect of letting your costar taste her on you was too exciting.

"Hey ladies."

Speak of the devil...

"You ready Y/N/N?" Lizzie side hugged your scowling wife as she spoke to you with a knowing smirk, "You're a cockblock Olsen."

"Can't have you macking on my woman," she jested, dangerously if Scarlett's glare was to be translated, "She's my woman, remember that."

"She was mine first," Lizzie continued to goad your wife, she would've kept going too, and left you with a monster to drive home with if not for the saving grace of your favorite stagehand.

"Mrs. Y/L/N—Johansson, Mrs. Olsen, the set is ready, and the director sent me to collect you."

Lizzie left with him instantly, knowing when to retreat from a standoff with your wife, and you were two seconds away from doing the same, but your stewing wife stopped your attempts. Her hand swiftly cupped the back of your neck, she pulled you into a bruising kiss, tentatively sliding her tongue in your mouth, unfairly arousing you as she groped your clothed ass. She kissed you until you were near breathless, and mindlessly chewing on her fruity gum.

"Scar," you went to whine, but she traced her thumb around your lips to quell your worries. The lipstick was promptly cleaned off your skin, and a fresh layer was reapplied, it was as if she had never even touched her lips to yours. But the dizzy look in your eye tells her the memory was strong enough without the mess.

For the sake of your career she slid her hand into yours, and guided you to your outdoor set, "Go get em tiger," she winked, and you simply chuckled as she referenced your character's feline tendencies, her silly antics always helped to settle your heart, she was the ideal partner.

Scarlett waved to the familiar director before she settled into your chair, then her eyes zeroed in on the leather jacket they slid over to you, and then she saw the motorcycle. Natasha was always on a motorcycle, it was like her signature ride so she was familiar with the set up for the scene. Scarlett had never been on one though, which now that she thinks of it is rather odd since riding was a leisurely passion of yours up until Leo was born. The Harley taking up space in the garage a daily reminder.

That familiar twinge of jealousy returned to her with a renewed passion as soon as she heard the director call 'action' because then she saw a scene play out that she wanted as her reality.

Wanda was in the process of slipping on her signature red leather jacket, the one she got (stole) from her mentor all those years ago. As soon as the tight fabric melded to her body you were behind her, slipping your hands just below the chilled fabric to grip her by the waist. Wanda hadn't even a moment to think before a squeal of surprise left her parted lips. With an undeniable strength, and incredible ease you lifted the redhead by your grip on her body, settling her onto the bike, then you seamlessly walked around, hand still on hip, so that you could face her, "You're a bit of a show off..."

"I learned from the best," you sadly stated, a subtle nod to the fallen Avenger who'd trained the both of you into the heroes you were today.

Wanda nodded solemnly, a beat of silence held before you went on, "You ready to go honey?"

You went to step away as she nodded, but the redheads hand shot out to wrap around your wrist to halt you. "Would you judge me if I said I was nervous?" You chuckled softly, but your eyes softened when you realized she meant it.

"Baby," the world rolled off your tongue with a familiar ease, and it successfully made the woman blush, "You've literally flown hundreds of miles above ground without a parachute."

"Eliza," she groaned, her grip tightening at your incessant teasing, "I have control over that."

"Yeah, and this is a walk in the park for me baby girl, I am an expert at this sorta thing."

Wanda bowed her head, a new nervousness settling within her bones as you continued to drop the pet names. "What's wrong Wands?"

The redhead picked her gaze back up, shaking her head from side to side, "Nothings wrong."

"You can't hide from me," you pulled a hand free from her loosened grip, and softly caressed her cheek, her breath promptly hitched, "Eli."

"Mhm?" You smiled innocently, but your eyes shone with an understanding that made her stomach erupt with a soft fluttering. Suddenly your faces were closer, breaths mingling as you both waited on the other to close the small gap.

Wanda felt your hand drift to behind her neck, anticipation built within her as you caressed her heated skin softly. Once your eyes fell to her parted lips she knew it was coming, but in a moment of desperation she surged forward to rush the process along. Her lips pressed to yours firmly, there wasn't much room to move at first as she sought to keep you against her, but when she felt your fingers playing with her baby hairs, while your other hand laid against her hip she knew you weren't going anywhere.

You soon guided the kiss, tilting her head with your firmer grip in her hair you slipped your tongue passed her lips. Even with the kiss deepened, you maintained a softness, exploring her mouth with a tenderness that equated to an 'I've loved you for eons, and I will continue to,' she melted into you in total reciprocity.

"We really have to go baby," you whispered once you pulled away, she panted affectedly while your breathing remained steady enough.

You smiled in agreement, "Yeah, it was."

Wanda pouted as you spoke of the moment in the past tense, meaning it was over, and so you leaned back in to peck it away, "It'll be even better when we get to a safe house sweetheart."

Wanda sighed, "I'm holding you to that then."

"How about I hold you to me instead?" You teased the witch as your leg flew over the bike behind her seamlessly. Wanda rolled her eyes, but she wore a wide smile that you couldn't see.

Wanda melted into your form as you pulled her body back into yours, your arms slid beneath hers so that you could reach for the handles. Her body shuddered once you placed a kiss to the nape of her neck just before you slid a helmet onto her. "Safety first, Avenger or not."

Wanda giggled, then her hand spun in the air, and a helmet appeared over your head next, "The rules apply to you too, nine lives or not."

You snorted, then instead of prolonging the teasing banter you kicked the stand of the bike up, revved the engine, then shot off abruptly.

Scarlett watched the heady kiss without even flinching, it was a bit of a surprise to her, but she found herself envying Elizabeth's chance to ride on the bike with you more so than the making out. The directors had trusted you enough to actually race around the lot, and when you and Lizzie returned in a fit of giggles she felt the jealousy only intensifying. It was not fair to you, but she only gave you a curt nod when you asked if she was okay, she once again cleaned the lipstick off your face, then left to try and simmer her rage inside your trailer.

"What's the matter now?" Lizzie joked from your side, and you only shrugged, but you'd never struggled to read your wife, the way she had glared at the motorbike as if it had killed her entire family was all you needed to know.

This silly scene here opened you up to a future night full of making it up to your wife. You sighed softly before turning to your scene partner, you watched a grin take over her face as a realization of sorts had dawned upon her.

"You're welcome," she winked before turning around to return to the set, you two had one more follow up scene to shoot, and then you'd have to face your attractively jealous partner.

The ride home was radio silent; literally, she slapped your hand away when you tried to fill the tense silence with your favorite playlist.

Scarlett pulled into the garage, a heavy sigh left her lips as she unbuckled, but she didn't speak.

Her door slammed shut, she attempted to race into the house, but you were too quick for her. Scarlett's breath hitched when your hands held her firmly in place, "Now, now kitten, why must you make this difficult by running?"

Scarlett tried to keep her angry front up, but when you manhandled her into the air she lost any semblance of control, you spun her around in your hold so that your lips brushed teasingly as you plopped her onto the Harley backwards.

"But wait, I have a proposal," she mused, and looked to you with a sinful grin and dark eyes.

"Well, my meeting won't end until like five, and it's over an hour away to my moms," she spoke with feigned exasperation, "Why would we pick him up tomorrow near his bedtime? That's just irresponsible. We should let him sleep, and use our bonus night off for an overdue date."

"Hmm," you hummed, pretending as if you were actually thinking over her sex coded offer, "I could just pick him up in the morning," you didn't mean it, but you'd never give up the opportunity to tease, and neither would she.

"Nope," she popped the p, and smirked up, "You're coming to the office baby girl, and we'll be taking your bike so no room for the baby."

I love this bestie!! I love and adore you, you're the best.

"Hi." I grin as Javier opens the door breathlessly, a bright smile slipping across his face as his eyes trail over me, almost as if he doesn't believe that I'm here. His hand is firmly on the doorknob as if he'd fall over if he let it go and I laugh, giving him a simple wave.

"Well are you going to hug me or not?" I ask but before I can get the sentence out, Javier's wrapping his arms around my waist, tugging me into his arms with a loud laugh, face burying in the crook of my neck.

"I missed you so much, cariña." He whispers and I can feel drops of tears on my shoulders as my fingers weave through his unruly hair.

"I missed you more, Javi. Sucks being a house wife without a husband." I laugh and he hums, fingers gripping onto my hips that I'm sure will leave bruises but it just reminds me that I'm here, with him, my husband who's loved and missed me more than words can say.

"I can imagine." He pulls away from me, reaching up to cup my cheeks so he can kiss me properly, my whole body melting against his as I enjoy the feeling of his body pressed against mine. "C'mon before Steve sees you. He'll ask you too many questions." He whispers, nodding to the apartment across the ball before tugging me into his apartment. "His wife Connie will ask you even more."

Javier watches me closely as I take my shoes off and strip myself of my coat, handing him my bags while I look around his apartment. It's very him, very plain and simple, bottles of liquor set out on the countertop.

"I'm so happy to be here with you." I turn to wrap my arms firmly around his neck, pressing my body against his as he sways me back and forth. I can feel the smile on his lips, cheeks hurting I'm sure by now from all the grins I've caused.

"Took you long enough." He chuckles, pulling me down onto the couch and right onto his lap as I tuck myself into him. "Six months is too long."

"What if I moved here?" I ask suddenly, leaning back away from him, watching the way his eyes widen in real time, jaw slacking in shock as his hands grip my hips.

"Move in with me? Here in Columbia?" I can tell his mouth is drying from how often he's swallowing and I can see the red rimming his waterline, tears already filling his eyes.

"I already spoke to my landlord and my mom." I offer vaguely, hands rubbing up and down his chest. "I want to feel like a wife." I whine, slipping down onto him so I can curl myself into the curve of his body, just happy to be so close to him after so long. "I don't feel like a wife hundreds of miles away." Javi nods, reaching up to cup my cheeks in his hands, a smile slipping across his lips. "I want to wake up to you, make you lunch, be here when you get home."

"Spend my money-"

"Spend your big boy money." I giggle, wrapping my arms around him.

"I worry about your safety, sweetheart." He whispers against my hairline and I nod, knowing that he worries that I'd get involved in the dangers of his career.

"No where is safer than by your side." I whisper, tilting my chin so I can look up at him and he nods slowly, thumb brushing soothingly across my cheek.

ah thank you... it is a very tentative undeveloped idea so i don't have too much but here's what i have + brainstorming in real time

I think it's funny bc it's like. There's the musk-grimes similarities of weird dysfunctional silicon valley romance just without the music making but there's also kind of a jessica-roger rabbit component. Kind of. ever so slightly, probably the closest you can get with the most esoteric of space biology.

Idk where this happens on the timeline. Certainly before HOL but it has to be after Giblets starts to do the Sort of Stuff He Does but before it gets to its worst + he starts getting as paranoid as he is when we see him.

Also I am assuming Giblets had a wife before hand? Something something timeline I think Giblets had Krimothy before Mux but maybe not?? And idk where the Krubis incident fits in w/ this either.

Unless they met + dated way way back as a little fling at the start of their careers or in college or something. but then it's not as funny. There'd be the awkward ex situation then but what really intrigues me is the G3 and every Muxxalon employee looking on in horror as these two start holdin hands and being mushy as all hell

totally infatuated with each other the sort of couple that's sickeningly sweet they give off the vibes of high school sweethearts who have to be held back from making out in the hallways.

Mux is attracted to the mystique of it all. A super genius scientist AND a gang member? She is living the booktok plot of her dreams!

Meanwhile Giblets appreciates her power/status but is also just very infatuated like in general. And he loves how much she loves him. Pretty woman... thinks he's handsome... and he gets to show off how smart he is yay!!

So he shows off and waxes poetic and she swoons and meanwhile she goes and Girlbosses and dotes on him and he's over the moon about it. They love coming up with awful "genius" ideas together and dreaming of the day they rule the galaxy together

And they like seeing the other obliterate merks/muxxalon employees

And... yeah that's the positives, mostly just the novelty and the wow factor.

Between the both of them being... the sort of people they are... corrupt controlling selfish cruel and out of touch... etc etc etc... they do clash a lot. A lot of fighting then kiss and make up sort of situations...

Im just imagining that "pronouns suck" "nooo baby this isn't your heart!!" tweet but Mux is complaining about translator microbes or something and Gibs starts crytyping abt it

Far enough into their relationship there's another major fallout on twitter every other week because Mux and Giblets are at it again everyone!!! Grab yer popcorn!!!

The logic these two run on is almost on the same level but everyone else is fucking flabbergasted.

Like to get a bit serious both seem like the sort of people who Cannot Help But Fuck Up. Mostly bc they don't care about most others but themselves and their pride. But while Mux is very enthralled by the glamor of living wealthily and all her nice ideas Giblets obsesses over science and how he can maintain safety and some semblance of happiness by sabotaging that of others... and I feel there'd have some moment where it. Clicks that they have this in common.

And they do appreciate each others lil quirks! He likes her Elden Ring builds... she likes the way he talks...

I'm assuming the breaking point would be Mux trying to take credit for something Giblets did or Giblets overstepping in his... Gibletness. Somehow. And then she'd feel disrespected by it. Or maybe their horoscopes said they'd break up.

Giblets is a whole can of worms. Because he's smart academically but near socially incapable and prone to spiraling into these. Fucked up self serving actions that ruin lives and shit. He has the mentality of a fucking Fargo character. So I feel it'd probably be his fault the most in the end

ig if there's anything heartwarming about this it would be that since Giblets doesn't mention Mux during that little speech they ended on good enough terms or were able to reconcile down the line to some extent? At the very least he felt sure she would not try to kill him.

I think it was messy for a while though. Custody over Goimpy Schoimpy Peanut Rendezvous 2000 was a bitch. Everyone was relieved when they actually started being cool w/ each other again or at least decided to leave each other alone.

I should make a little list of every like. Mux-Giblets situation but I will have to brainstorm all the new lows they'd be able 2 reach...

Is it just me or was Susan the only chick with good fashion game this episode as you had Margaret and her giant bow on her shirt, Francey's neon pants, Belinda's consistently obnoxious pattern-mixing and even Alex's weird sleeves and for Margaret and Francey (idr about Alex) this wasn't their first fashion offense (yeah there's Allison but she just kinda dresses normal)

Speaking of aesthetics, I repeat again that Lyle's mustache needs to die. My mom who I watch SHMT with says if he had to have facial hair a goatee might work but not this.

I feel like Belinda was intended to be a similar kind of dramatic-foil to Margaret that Todd is to Lyle

Not saying Elsbeth has any particular neurodivergencies unless she's been canonically diagnosed with anything (though if this show goes on for as long as I'd like it to, if there's enough of a case for anything in particular they could have an adult-diagnosis arc like I'm hoping So Help Me Todd might have if it goes on for as long as I'd like with Todd with ADHD or Lyle or Lawrence with autism) but I have the kind of autism some people call aspergers and some call high-functioning autism as well as Inattentive Type ADHD that used to be called ADD and I've never felt so "seen" by a "quirky crime-solver character" in my life

On the one hand sucks about the giant gap until start proper on the other hand now I have time to binge The Good Wife

Maybe it's just my particular neurodivergencies but the one thing I hated is is a howdunnit supposed to make you internally yell at the TV

I like that what appears to be going to be her cop-partner-person is a woman of color as seeing a female-female lead team in a crime show like this is about as rare as having one where the quirky outsider person is a woman no matter what their partner is

Let's discuss families 🙏🏻

On Matty's side, his parents would love girlie cus she's really nice, my girl is educated, obvs has good grades in school and most important brings the best of his emo teen and she loves him. I'd like to think that Matty has a decent to good relationship with his parents, I feel like he'd ask for advice if he feels like something it's not going well in his relationship with girlie

On girlie's side, that household feels like living hell, no wonder why girlie has mommy issues😭 I feel like she's close to his father, maybe she has enough trust to talk to her dad about certain things, like relationships at her age and she has a little interest outside of church an blabla, maybe it's a secret between both. I feel like he's more chill than his wife. On the other side, her mom freaks out easily and has zero chill, she'd be like 'i just want the best to my girl, that's why I'm very strict w/her's but this restrictions only work to turn your kid into 'the black sheep' of the family. She'd have a heart attack if my girl is dating someone outside of church (Matty) and would take her to the confessionary every week😭

i think matty has a decent relationship with his family that is a bit more strained rn as he’s deep in his teen angst. it’s pretty normal for teenagers to distance themselves from their family and go through the whole no one understands me😫😫 phase and, on top of that, i think he’d resent being moved to the us, meaning he’s not on the best terms with them at the very moment. although, there is genuine love between them and he knows they’re there for him if he needs it.

i don’t think he would talk to them much about his personal life. when reader and him officially start dating, she would make sure to present herself officially to his parents (and not just be the girl that’s sneaking out of his room in the early morning😭) and that’s the only reason they know he’s seeing someone. they would 100% love her bc she’s, as you said, sort of this ‘perfect’ good girl they Never expected matty to go for, but also because she mellows out his most intense personality traits, mainly his ‘fuck everyone nothing matters’ teen angst. and she genuinely seems to make him happy. his parents would Love telling all sorts of embarrassing stories about him to her.

on her side, it’s obviously completely different. i’ve made it pretty clear that she has mommy issues as her mother is a very domineering, controlling woman. she’s a nagger who’s obsessed with apparences and constantly nitpicks at reader’s every doing. i think her dad is just as strict but in much more quiet, sober way. he’s very much an enabler. i tried to mimic the stereotypical family dynamics were the dad is barely involved and only comes in to have the last word, generally agreeing with whatever the wife said. ofc, it’s hard to show family dynamics when most of the fic is straight porn so i’m very aware it doesn’t much show! the one moment i managed to sneak in is when the mother says she doesn’t where reader’s dirtiness came from and he basically just answers ‘not me!’ (it’s interesting to me to learn how you see her father bc while writing pfms3 i was like…. damn did i make him too nice.. i really didn’t want to blame all the family issues on her mother)

anyway they would obviously pop a blood vessel and faint when they find out she’s dating matty. like he’s Everything they’re against and don’t want for her. it would create many many fights inside the house (obviously always keeping this smiling, mindlessly happy front outside). just screaming at her to break up, that he’s no good, that they’re Not allowing her to date, that she’s grounded, that they’re immensely disappointed in her, that it’s not the little girl they raised, etc etc. they would rly try to break them up and get even More appalled when, bc of their even stricter rules, reader starts sneaking around and doing more forbidden things (ie. drinking, smoking, partying, etc.) i see reader as absolutely Not backing down, even going as far as refusing to go to church if they don’t stop threatening her. it’s an extremely messy, imploding family affair. you know the whoooole town is whispering about it behind their back

i think the conflict would get resolved by her straight up just moving out for college. they can’t control her from a distance and the longer matty sticks around, the more they’re forced to accept he will just Be There and he’s a permanent fixture. they slowly chill even though they Never fully warm up to him and always have some clear disdain, no matter how long they’ve been together or how successful he is. they know how to hold a grudge!

my ask from rori held spoilers so paraphrased but also copied infodumping is coming in here we go:

ok so like. vaccines cannot be made for fungus but that is information I learned w resources today. Nobody would know of this then and so there is no reason to stop the procedure on ellie. Like of COURSE ellie should be saved but there's just that horrible complexity of possibly saving the fucking world for more than just one person. Like Ellie I think would've said yes even if there was death, she's seen so much of it she's had to BE A PART OF IT so much this girl knows she's supposed to be more than she is and if that means dying? Of course she would. Dying is a lover to her a friend multiple lives an ENTIRE other world WHY was she living anyways. Ellie lost her ability to choose that for herself from the fireflies sure but also from Joel. He was selfish to the world and to her, but I literally encourage that like it would not be Joel if he did not show his love for her like that.

And throughout this series we have seen people do the exact thing. Like can you blame the woman who suggested the bomb before the outbreak? She just requested then to go see her family. We don't know if she told them they were going to die, we don't know what her last moment was with them. Bill and Frank weren't heroes to anyone they stayed close to themselves, NOT existing as a bigger picture for the hope of humanity but for THEMSELVES. Kathleen wanted a brother for a brother, because hers died to ensure the safety of Henrys but how is that fair. There is no bigger picture for them he and that kid will die no matter what. Tommy loved his wife/future kids and he left Joel, it was selfish for him to do that but he just wanted to shed his skin from what he'd done with Joel. Marleen wanted hope for the future she PROTECTED ellie and ellies mom protected her too by lying. Like I can't get any more across that you cannot pick a good person in this place, I'd even say there's no bad person either. (besides david. actually i think hes one if not only The Worst.) But you get what I mean ndmsksmw

THIS THIS THIS I AGREE WITH EVERYTHING HERE like the reason i think morality is handled so well in tlou is because oftentimes when you're presented with 'morally grey' shows, they just mean all the characters are awful and you have to pick the least awful from the bunch, and that's fucking exhausting. but in tlou very few of them are wholly evil with bad intentions. you can SEE how some if not all of them might have started as good, normal people. it's such a beautiful, heartbreaking way of showing survival because it feels REAL. it's scary and harrowing because you can see yourself and your loved ones falling into the same mistakes as the characters because they're not acting as bad or good people; they're just people.

and joel's choice being selfish!!!!!!! this a hundred thousand times. like ellie's character is so determined by autonomy and choice and he TOOK THAT FROM HER but he had her best interests at heart. his way of taking choice was from a father's viewpoint, was him seeing this little girl, a CHILD who isnt old enough to comprehend her choice yet and legally wouldn't be allowed to in a better world, and taking such a collosal choice from her hands because she fundamentally doesn't understand it yet. the fireflies didn't do that. they didn't have ellie in mind, and that's why it's different. im with joel all the way with the choice he made just as i support ellie being angry with him when she inevitably finds out.

Yeee okay so again I haven't watched the last 2 3 eps yet so who knows if any of these points would change but I'll expand on my last answer below

For some more context, here's which KR shows I've watched to compare to: Kuuga, Blade, Hibiki*, W, OOO, Fourze, Gaim, Ghost*, Ex-aid, Build,. Zero-One, Revice, Geats*, Amazons*, Black Sun*

* means I'm still in the middle of them. Everything else I've at least watched the first two episodes for. I've not seen any of Showa yet.

Warning this is a LONG answer

It's done some things that I wasn't expecting from KR, at least from a Reiwa/Heisei 2 style. Heisei 1 had its serious/scary moments since those leaned more into the J-Drama side but those were yearsss ago so seeing it in Geats was an interesting whiplash (SPOILER: referring to some scenes/revelations that surrounded child death and existentialism)

Neon Neon Neon Neon the girl ever

She was unknowingly wished into the world to replace a murdered daughter. Her dream to have real genuine love because of her unkind parents suddenly feels further out of her reach. She was created at the suffering of others, clearly it's almost selfish to want something for herself, right?

We are originally introduced with version of her backstory where she was in a hostage situation. A saved 8yr old Neon is returned to her family.

And then the scene gets re-contextualized with Beroba revealing that it was all fabricated, and the flashback replays anew, where Akari in a body bag is brought out instead. This is the most explicit visual an focus of a child death they've had in a main series lately. The scene of her running to her mom's arms is replaced with the dead silence of a mother in grief. Everything up to this point with Neon and her parent's actions are in a new horrifically understandable light. This leads into so so so much for Neon as she struggles w the meaning of her own existence, desires, and relation to the child she replaced.

(again I say lately because some v-cinemas can get violent, Amazons and Black Sun are violent, and Kuuga is a main series that had a horrific serial killer type situation and suicides but that was 20+ years ago. Closest thing for Heisei 2/Reiwa of a human death was Gentarou dying in Fourze because you watch as his heart stops beating. Other human deaths have like. a character fading into sparkles, going off screen, or turning into the monster and then exploding)

Her relationship with her parents? Complicated. Fascinating. Riveting. Really compelling. A suffocating mother that wants her daughter to stay at home, follow the rules, never stray from her, later revealed to be fuelled from nearly losing her daughter in that hostage situation. When she gets her memory back, realizing her memory of Akari was rewritten with this stranger, that's not her daughter because her daughter died 11 years ago. She yells at her, pushes her away, only to struggle again because isn't she just losing a daughter again? but that's not her daughter except she is but.,, and it's hard! She's not a good person, she's controlling, her grief doesn't justify that, but she's so complex. Her father? losing the ability to love the day he lost his daughter. He fabricates a new one, one for him and his wife to raise but for him, as a successor to the business, not as a daughter. To secure his position. But he was still mourning, really. He focuses on Neon as a means to an end because he's still mourning Akari.

And it's not simply that the Kurama family reunites after realizing their wrongs! It took time! It took discussion and breathing room. When Neon left, it's not that she fully cuts ties, because that's not that easy. Eleven years is still eleven years. She sees her mother one last time, her father in prison, laments how he is unable to love.They're all deeply traumatized and going through revelation after revelation. Neon doesn't hate them, she understands the situation. It's alien. It's not fair. The parents don't hate her. They sit and talk to each other about this! She's still a kid they brought into this world. A child that grew up with them for eleven years. That's eleven years they couldn't truly love her because of the loss of Akari, whether intentional or subconsciously. They explicitly discuss with each other that they owe love to Neon. They acknowledge Neon's desire for true love is because they've been depriving her of that. They could do better and they want to do better.

The Kurama family had a premise that was grave and emotional and the resolution was handled with a maturity that could've easily been done hand-waved in a lighter, shallower beat. It's not new for characters that'd done awful things to be forgiven rather easily in these kinda shows which like, I get it, but,, But no, the Kurama parents still remain complicated people that did wrong and know they did wrong and it's not an easy fix, especially for the mother's controlling behaviour because that's trauma, but they're given the chance to start that I like a whole lot

I do have nitpicks but not enough to really ruin the experience for me. To be vague, it's about an arc's relevance/writing,

The Among Us Dezastar arc feels the weakest by far. It just felt so strange to me. I know it was important to introduce new cast (Daichi) and I think challenge how much characters are willing to do to win (Neon) but it could've been less awkward?

There's whiplash from the reveal that everything was in fact, a show, that their actions are broadcast as entertainment, not to really save anyone to whatever this arc was They were just kinda, hanging around? Compared to how other revelations were treated in the future, this just felt so jarring to follow up with. I thought they were gonna lean into the reality show aspect more to get into even more characterization but...

After everything Ace, Keiwa, and Neon went through, especially the last episode's scene defeating Girori, into the introduction to the new DPG where they not just ignore Keiwa as a funnee, have the weird Girls vs Boys thing, or Girls vs Boys vs Keiwa because we bully Keiwa now, that was all just kinda weird

I know Neon kinda had to throw someone under the bus because she was the culprit but there were so many scenes that just shoved Keiwa around just cuz. The revelation he had about the Jyamato acting like dead participants was serious but they're like noooo sorry you're sus loser :/ At least Ace was neutral on the matter cuz he been-knew, but man...

a specific character's writing,

Keiwa again :( I love Keiwa! But out of our main 3 (Ace, Neon, Keiwa) he has the strangest writing by the last half

He has such a strong start but then gets pushed down when the other characters are the story focus. You can have the other characters in the spotlight without needing to belittle and make fun of another. From Dezastar Arc onwards, he got fairly side-lined until the my next few points

Him getting mad at Ace for his mother being the Goddess was just, so unprecedented? Again he's been with Ace for a long while now but the 180 to 'HOW COULD YOU?' when even Ace just learned this. Ace just learned his mother was suffering as the Goddess and Keiwa, notably empathetic and world peace Keiwa, immediately went to blame rather than any sort of consolation or attempt to understand the situation.

I won't say Keiwa is not allowed to be angry or complex but they had set him up for like 70% of the series as the good hearted one, to the point that his devil in the crossover movie was still him wanting peace for others

on a related note, he did it again with Michinaga! Michinaga blaming himself for killing Keiwa's sister despite not knowing is interesting, but Keiwa once again goes over the fact the other guy is feeling just as terrible. I'm not saying Keiwa would be okay with his sister dying but he immediately treats Michinaga as if he actively, knowingly, killed his sister If this wasn't after having the exact same level of reaction to Ace's mother, it probably wouldn't feel as bad, but it did, so it felt like a 'here we go again'

Which leads to his Bad Guy arc which is not inherently bad as a concept. It's might as well after the stress they've already added to him. A character that's full of fairly naive hope losing the last family he has, learning that the system he's in has taken away his loved ones again, getting devastated and desperate when he has to listen to them die again just when he thought he had his life back I love the idea that "i want everyone to be happy but that means me too, what's the point if it's not mine and my family's too'. It's a neat take on that type of desire! But the execution was not a descent or even escalation, it was just another flip like the last two - Clothing change. Not the worst. It happened to Mitsuzane, who went from good kid to delusional fratricide. It happened to Jin, it happened to Hiiro w/ Masamune, it's just cheesy wardrobe change. (I'm going to personally believe Kekera had a part in this because he was shaping Keiwa into the rider he wanted him to be) I do wish Keiwa kept the new hair actually, it was cute lol - New edgy af henshin. Stop cracking ya knuckles. Goofy. Not the worst again, but in combination w the clothes kinda takes me out of it -overall edgy af mannerisms and movements -treatment of Tsumuri Everything escalated, he became desperate, was being manipulated, so capturing Tsumuri and making her use her new creation powers is understandable. The idea of him actively taking advantage of her empathy to his pleas and tears (which were probably real tbh) to get a new item? That's sick of him but in both a cool and awful way. What I cannot handle as an active choice from Keiwa? The god. The freakign. The classic creepy face caress when Tsumuri was imprisoned. Why did he do that!? Literally no reason!! It was just weird!! He's depressed and angry, not automatically a creep???!?! It can't really be justified as him like, mentally breaking, because it doesn't add up w literally anything else he's done. Especially when he looks normal again. We're just gonna ignore that happened? He went so close to her face so much. It felt unnecessary. Who told him to do that. Whaddahell.

I firmly believe are other ways to portray a character being threatening and aside from the overdone touchy creep(tm) style.

So just all of that in combination and in such a short amount of time was over the top. If we had to do the bad guy arc, I think we could've had more of the crocodile tears thing he had. Sad, pathetic but manipulating/guilt-tripping. We don't have much bad guys like that.

and a more inconsequential thing like lack of some specific character designs.

It has a consistent belt/power-up gimmick and is surprisingly versatile despite people only using the same one or two belt type

Realized how often I use the word 'consistent' lol. It's just one of my pet peeves if rider/power systems are just, thrown away, and people start getting belts and forms up the wazoo w no decent explanation. [deletes a bunch of typing here] That's another few paragraphs worth of explanation so I'll shorten it to this: it makes it less tv show and more toy commercial, if that makes sense.

After discussing this further w a friend I realized these points ^ only exist because I was watching this fresh outta Revice and unfortunately Revice had frustrated me quite a lot so that's something I'll spare you of for now

So those are the ups and criticisms I can recall for now. I still would probably have Geats up there on my personal favourites though. Despite how much I love Fuwa and Aruto, I like the overall story for Geats over Zero-One out of the Takahashi stuffs. Ex-aid is still higher overall. I'll need to finish those last few episodes and movie before deciding where I'll place Geats in my overall KR list.

I have completed Dracula. I really enjoyed reading it. I've liked adaptions but i do like the book more, for all it's issues. It's many, many, many issues.

While i was reading, I was thinking about the '92 Dracula movie bc I think I'd seen it the most recently. Like, i did enjoy that movie but gonna be honest i didn't like any of the characters. I was a bit reticent to read dracula bc of that. But it turned out i only dislike Seward! He's a good character but holy moly Seward please place yourself in a coffin and put that coffin in a hole and cover that hole in cement. Ur a fine victorian man i bet you can do it.

I loved Lucy and i it was such a sad part when she died. I loved renfield which i wasnt expecting bc i have understandable issues with the way mental illness is written by very nearly anyone. But like?? I just felt a lot of compassion for a guy who Seward's decided to keep as a fucking pet and then Dracula's decided to fuck with and he was trying SO hard when he couldn't communicate. Poor guy. I loved Jonathan and it was super enjoyable how wife-guy he is and i am not familiar with gender stereotypes of the nineteen hundreds but?? I don't know i feel like he bucked em a bit? Soft boy?? Whatever a soft boy was then?

Mina and Lucy, so sweet and the part where Mina wrote her just after she died, very very sad! Mina and Jonathan, absolutely adorable. Precious. The heteros are ok. Mina is just so good and damn I'm not sure they would have got Dracula without her around. Like, do not mean the psychic powers. They would have had an easier time w dracula if they had a Hale and Healthy Mina. It was truly the worst idea to keep her out of the loop.

Victorian Standards were the real villain in this book. Every time they got too victorian shit starts going down hill. Jonathan too xenophobic and superior feeling at the start to heed warnings? Welp now he's snacula. All the characters at the start refusing or just not considering telling the house hold staff and MOM what needs to be left for Lucy's medical care? TWICE? welp Lucy is snacula. Can't bring yourself to do a damn thing for renfield because he's *~*insane*~*? Mina: snacula. Renfield: dead (snacula status unknown).

Seward, at any point, is too victorian a man. Gosh. Go crawl in a ditch.

Ah i really loved van Helsing. He was just, so genuinely full of love and kindness. I feel like i haven't seen a character like that in a while, much less a mentor character or a character that isn't killed to show how unattainable that world view is. He probably needs to communicate a little earlier with people, but i get it. it's hard to explain there's a dracula on the loose.

I would have enjoyed having some written from Quincey and Arthur, but i get they might not have had anything to add to the story. It just felt like, with Quincey dying at the end, that they wanted a tragic sacrifice to finish the dracula but couldn't bear to use one of the liked main characters?? I d k

My take away is that all the dracula adaptations I've seen, which I'm defining by 'having dracula characters', have done them all dirty. Everyone. Even Dracula? I don't know. Maybe they gave him a cooler end-fight i guess. It feels like, they take a story that already had a serious issue thinking of women as human and made it WORSE TOWARDS THE WOMEN. how??

M - Mara

Little shit evil goblin child. Mara's a villain I don't talk about enough tbh. She's a fear demon who spent a decent chunk of time possessing my oc Lizzie, and has a sort-of rivalry with Magician (he thinks she's an annoying brat /derogatory and he's right). She presents as a child despite not technically being one, based on the belief that demons present themselves as children as to avoid further suspicion from the people they go after.

J - Josephine Freeman

Ex-vampire hunter who then did a complete 180˚ and is now dating not one, but 2 vampires. She is. a disaster. A polyamorous bisexual one at that. She's also holding so much trauma within her 5 ft frame, I am not exaggerating. From losing one of her parents, to coming to the slow horrifying realization she was kind of a murderer and having to live with that guilt... Girl's been through a lot okay, she's trying. I'd say luckily her two boyfriends are there for her but one of them (Bram) is a menace and thrives off of pissing her off. She genuinely loves them though, they do actually both help her a lot.

W - Wren

MY ANGST-FILLED LITTLE TRANS MAN :D I love Wren so much, I've kept a lot of his backstory secret for personal reasons, but what is public knowledge atm is that he's an investigator of sorts for SAIA (Supernaturally Armed Investigative Association, an organization dedicated to focusing on injustice/crimes revolving around supernatural beings, both because they're more dangerous and are best dealt with by other supernaturals, and because the territory they're based in uh. doesn't really give a lot of shits about supernaturals I really need to write out territory lore for Osrea oops). He's hellbent on finding the monster that killed his family when he was a child, for many reasons which he will ofc not explain to people who ask. Also!! Fun fact Wren is a nickname/alias he uses. His actual first name (currently only known by his boyfriend Ferin) is Markus :) last name remains a secret for now.

K - Kian Yang

ANOTHER SAIA MEMBER LETS GO. Resident doctor, monsterlover AND monsterfucker. Kian's a fun lil guy I don't give him enough attention. He's one of SAIA's main healers and one of their most "human" members, as in he passes as human as long as you don't think about the energy his soul gives off long enough. In truth, he's half Qualit (a species created by @nebula-starlight), having inherited a small bit of their magic from his mom. Which means he uh. He glows. He can do it on purpose, but it can also happen unintentionally, most notably when he gets very flustered. WHICH HAPPENS A LOT WHEN YOU HAVE A SUCCUBUS LIKE BEA FOR A WIFE. Motherfucker can never get any work done around her.

F - Fred Algorn

Ghost man!! :D One of my main characters in NSN too! Most of his story will be told there, but he was killed like 20+ years ago and, thanks to presumably purgatory rules, got trapped in his childhood home afterwards, and spent the next 20 years stuck there alone until Lizzie and Naomi moved in. This is why he's slightly unhinged and also why he's so excited about having people around again, especially someone who could see and feel his presence like Lizzie can. He's very protective of them both.

Cop out answer: All of them. I love exploring dynamics for all of my muses, but especially for my OCs. It helps bring a bit of legitimacy, for me, to their existence in an extant setting for those who belong to a fandom.

I fell back into W*steros hard, so I'm kind of champing at the bit to ship my three OCs.

Laerion, from the Dance era, kind of has a ship in an AU on discord, but nothing for his mainverse. And he'd be a great partner, a loving husband, someone who chugs his respect bae juice, who wants to share the whole world and all its wonders and beauty with the one he loves. He's beautiful, he's titled, and he's probably the most normal and fun guy in the entire shitshow of that era.

Mira, who I admittedly need to flesh out as a person before trying to trot her past the dash, but... She's always looking for a connection, even if not romantic. She's learned, affectionate, and excels at courtesies, all of which makes her wife material. But she also has a cold thread of pragmatism that can get her partner pretty far in life and politics. Add in she's a pretender to one of the biggest chunks of the Realm and well.. Whether love matches or political arrangements, I'd love to see what's out there for her.

I don't think I technically want to ship Lya, given her age, so much as I want to flesh out an endgame for her? I want to know what life looks like for her when she's grown. She survives the monsters in her life, she carves out a life for herself, she becomes more than her family. I wonder if that future includes someone who is there for her, and sees her as she is, and loves her for it. If she gets the soft ending and some of the domestic happiness she was denied given what her family is. Does she herself get to make a happy family in the future? It's not like. Her end all be all, but I think it could be a nice dash of flavor for her life after the war.

Other than that, I have a few muses I've never shipped I'd like to play around with:

Kayden Connors, who is always the wingman, never the GF. It's almost memetic at this point on discord. Like, my other six one six OCs? Vera gets with Ax's Eddie as the share GF of his open marriage with, well, you know. Raisa is married with two kids at this point. Kayden's there for so many ships for those around her but never really gets anyone herself. It's not for lack of trying, either. I just think Kayden should get to smooch, be sb's artistic and down to earth Goth GF. She should have someone to bring home to her dad when he finally makes parole :)

Mina Wakefield, who has backstory ships w Harley and potential ships w others, but nothing has sealed the deal! I want to see this woman kissed, whether that means getting back together with someone, finally making a move on someone, or someone surprising her with their interest. She's at a point in her life where she hit all her career and financial goals, and she's ready to settle into the domestic sphere. She wants the romance, the cohabitation, the commitment, and the kids, this woman wants to be a wife/partner and mom so bad omfg.

Merel van Breda, who prior to June actually never had a ship to her name. She is now in a polyamorous dynamic with a villain protagonist from her mainverse and his GF. Even so, I pine to see all the ways my girl can love and be loved. She's so young and deserves to have fun. I get she's ace-spectrum but also she's so into romance, so long as there's a good build-up to it.

Danae Spencer, who honestly is built for pre-established stuff. It doesn't even have to be for sure romantic. She had a bit of a sex-crazed party girl thing going for her in college until she got clean, and even after she's pretty sex-positive and loves it as a form of intimacy even with no strings attached. Besides that, she's loyal, diligent, flush with cash, and has a sexy accent. There would never be a dull moment with her, and time spent in the bedroom would be second to none. Be her ex, her former FWB, her new arm candy, her slow burn turning into something more than friendship or bodies.

Ogawa Yurie, legally barred from catching any feelings. In all honesty, her role at the temple depends on a certain level of devotion that her grandmother thinks will be sullied if she gets distracted by her peers. Grandma said no feelings allowed. I think it'd be cute for her to be involved in a mutual crush plot or something. I want her to have all those cute high school romcom tropes while still being an ass-kicking agent of good. Especially since literally any relationship she gets into will be by definition forbidden by her family.

Actually, here's the thing. I've only ever written TWO smut fics ever, and neither of them is particularly kinky. In fact, I've had a WIP sitting for ages because the second, smutty half of it DOES involve kink and I have no idea how to write it. I'm not the type of person who feels comfortable putting smut on "paper" so to speak, so writing kinky stuff is pretty much out of the question. Sorry to disappoint, maybe I'll get around to finishing that one story someday!

Honestly, and I think I understand the meaning of the word simp here, I'd say Kevin Owens. My love for Sami feels different than my love for Kevin. Sami is my joy, my sunshine, and my love. He makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside and I gain so much delight just knowing he's on this planet.

Ok, so bear with me. I ADORE writing El Generico. BUT, I adore writing El Generico from other people's point of view. Getting inside Generico's head directly is something I'm not fully comfortable trying yet, but writing, in my Generico!verse, Generico as seen by Kevin Steen, is one of my all time favorite things. I do hope to at some point write an entry in that universe from Becky's point of view, so you'll see him from her perspective as well, and SOMEDAY i will get to writing something from Generico's POV, but for right now, yeah. Generico through Steen's eyes is my favorite thing ever.

Anyway, DISNEY WORLD!!!!!! God, it's been well over a decade, almost two since I've been there and after writing so much of The Happiest Luchador on Earth, I have a burning need to go back there. SO MUCH! I wanna go back there and do the whole deluxe tour, stay on property for a week, get all the lightning lanes, hit all the parks, eat at all the best places, PRESS A BILLION PENNIES, the whole deal. 

But, alas, I have neither the money nor the mobility for that so it will likely never happen. Oh well.

Nope, not unless you count having my ears partially pierced. My mom took me to Claire’s as a teenager and, sure enough, they got infected and we had to let them close. Except they never closed the whole way and now I have permanently half-pierced ears. 

🌙 your zodiac (Sun, Moon, Rising) 

Here’s a wild thing most people don’t know about me. I genuinely don’t know my rising sign and can’t find out. Why? Because I was adopted and therefore have no friggin clue what time I was born. I never met my birth mom once before she died and none of my biological family members want anything to do with me, so yeah. No clue my rising sign. 

My Sun and Moon signs, however, are both Gemini, as far as I know. So there is that. 

💛 what is your favorite feature on yourself? 

Oh wow, so I have a lot of self loathing, especially about my appearance, and I kind of hate everything about the way I look. 

Except. 

I think the color of my eyes is awesome. 

I have what I call “windowpane hazel eyes” which is when you have pale hazel eyes that truly have no definable color of their own, they only reflect whatever is around them. It was hilarious when I got my driver's license test and they were trying to determine my eye color and it kept changing depending on which direction I was facing. LOL. If you get them in bright enough light though with nothing reflecting, they look like they’re the shade of an old garage windowpane covered in dust, hence why I call them Windowpane Eyes. 

And I think that is So Damn COOL.

2. Does your Tav have any siblings? Are they close?

Eins has a younger half-sister! They're not super close because they became half-siblings when Eins was already an adult but they're very affectionate w their family so they'd still kill for her... she's in her angsty teen phase now but Eins is unflappable so they're still like Yay family time ^_^ I love my sister who wants to kill me sometimes <333

3. Who was your Tav raised by?

Eins' mom is a cambion and their dad is a Zariel tiefling, so I'd like to think other tieflings recognize they've got a little more devil in them than most... I do think the vestigial wings they have in-game eventually sprout to become small wings- not large enough to fly with but enough to be really cute. Now they gotta DIY their outfits to be backless. But their parents divorced when they were young so Eins was mostly raised by their mom and her new Halfling wife!!! They're so in love it warms Eins' heart but could be sickening to the cynical crowd...

4. Is your Tav close with whoever raised them?

Eins doesn't stay in touch with their dad but DOES stay in touch w their moms... until the tadpole. They were too afraid to write- What would they write? Would their parents try to come looking for them and only find a mind flayer? Would it put them in danger?- so I imagine they come home one night after months of no communications and get the biggest earful of their life...

15. Answered this so I'll answer number... 9! Eins has the criminal backstory, which for me amounts to doing odd, less than legal jobs, occasionally stealing, and making temporary allegiances whenever it suited them... it was generally in pursuit of the greater good though. They've used their skills as a fighter to intimidate patriars, worked construction for a while, worked at a clothier until the store owner realized they were just giving outfits away for free and didn't gaf about making any profit... what a rascal

16. What's your Tav's favorite childhood memory?

Probably festival time!!! IDK what festivals are like in Baldur's Gate but I love the idea of little Eins dressing up to go listen to music and dance <3 they have music in their SOUL they should have been a bard TBH but they lack any and all musical talent. Kind of unrelated but when they make you play a song to [character you haven't met yet so I won't spoil it] I imagined it going just abysmally, real charlie kelly energy, so someone else had to step in and finish the job LMAO.

23. Share any hcs/anything you want to say about your Tav's backstory

HMMMMM well pre magic mirror update I had the headcanon that Eins changed their primary sex characteristics at random depending on the day (which has now become canon, thanks Larian!). They love sweetbreads, sometimes they lie about stupid things that don't matter just to see if anyone notices, they love to sing when they travel which used to get on everyone's nerves but once they all got a little closer it became charming, even to lae'zel (one of their closest friends who loves to hate on them all the time)

Also for a more serious headcanon I imagine that shortly after meeting Sebastian in Cazador's crypts Eins runs into a friend of theirs in that same cell, who had been taken only weeks before. But suddenly it all feels too real- the hypothetical "would it have been me in that cage?" that Astarion couldn't answer, didn't even want to think about, becomes a very resounding "yes". I think Astarion even tries to defend it- like it wasn't me! one of my siblings! she's only been in there for a few weeks!- It's the only time the companions have ever seen Eins that angry, angry at Cazador, angry at the world that let this happen, angry that so many people are considered this disposable... and they do lash out at Astarion when he tries to ascend as a result. Not one of their proudest moments, the both of them. But they came out of it OK, or as OK as they can be <3

I remember my mother describing the look of my father's face when he first saw me. He was kind of bewildered and interested in me. And he wanted to see me and what I looked like they're telling him that he was the child of the other man and that he had a wife or girlfriend he broken up with I was living there temporarily which is partially true he was there temporarily away from her but on purpose and that's how he took over the household from ghwb and he was actually murdering them and he was a very mean person to my mother and I made sure that he was stopped no I'm trying to a lot of people are a very large number of people are going against them. They are also being devoured and destroyed in New Zealand and they're sending tons of people there to try and recover and they think and believe it's clones. But he said he was calm and acted like an adult and she brought me over and it was Melissa Paris my mom my mother and I love my mother very much and she said this is our child to him. And he says I don't remember her saying that and that's what I said he said this is the other woman's child and what it meant was she can't say it but he wanted she wanted you to touch me and so you're reaching out and the other we're trying to get over there and you touched my hand and you say no I think you held my finger and it's true. I was in love with that moment and I always will be and there are tapes of it and I'd love to what you were saying it's a beautiful baby. They must be attractive people and she smiled and said they are and she left with the child and that was me that day
