Давно я здесь не была. Посмотрела свой последний пост и поняла, что нужно закончить тему про сирень😉 Леонид Алексеевич Колесников, всемирно известного селекционера сирени, родился в семье купца и предпринимателя, носившего звание почётного гражданина Москвы. Мать держала швейную мастерскую. В семье было пятеро детей, дом на Кузнецком мосту, имение под Ялтой, квартира в Санкт-Петербурге. В 1890 отец купил 2,5 га земли на окраине Всехсвятского у слияния рек Ходынки и Таракановки и построил дом, где и родился сын Леонид, в 1893. Окончил училище, Коммерческий институт. В 1 Мировую пошел воевать. Уходя, посадил два кустика французской сирени в отцовском саду. Вернувшись, выучился на шофёра. Посаженная им сирень выросла, и он стал искать другие сорта и изучать их. Потом — революция. Раскулачивание. У семьи остался дом и сильно урезанный сад. Сирень росла. Сортов стало больше. Леонид пошёл в Красную армию, шофёром. По возвращении кроме основной работы, занимался разведением сирени. Через несколько лет у него было 100 сортов. Леонид Алексеевич занимался самообразованием, консультировался с ботаниками, после чего начал работать с селекцией новых сортов сирени. Он обладал уникальной интуицией и необыкновенной наблюдательностью. Умел с большой точностью угадывать, какая сирень получится, если скрестить определённые сорта. Сейчас эту работу проделывают в специализированных лабораториях, он же рассчитывал самостоятельно.....
