Finished! First full oil painting. Mostly for exploration sake, to get a feel for the paint and because well, pigeons.
I'll get brave and varnish her at somepoint.

My brother asked me to make these felted likenesses of his friends' guinea pigs, as a Christmas gift for them. I'd never sculpted a guinea pig before but I think I did okay! They're tiny, too -- less than two inches long from nose to rump! #needlefelting #woolart #fiberart #petportrait #cute #tiny #guineapig #felted #wool #feltingart https://www.instagram.com/p/Cnel7udrtVp/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Yup, oils are harder to photograph for sure... any tips or tricks? 😂
Of course one of the first things I try to paint is a pigeon. Pigeons are lovely. And incredibly pretty birds, when you look beyond their reputation.
First layer done, currently drying.
