The casting for the PJO series has me thinking that Hermes actually is Lin Manuel Maranda and at some point Annabeth and Percy have a conversation that goes something along the lines of;

Annabeth: That's the Greek God, Hermes

Percy: Fym Hermes? That's Lin Manuel Maranda? The guy who made Hamilton?

And Annabeth just looks him in the eyes and goes: Hamilton? One of America's founding fathers? I'm pretty sure he wasn't a demigod. What has he got to do with Hermes?

And Percy just swear that he'll introduce Hamilton and a bunch of other lmm centric prices of media.

Meanwhile the Hermes kids are panicking BC they DO NOT want ANYONE to know that their dad is Lin Manuel Miranda or that he wrote Hamilton.

Hc that Hermes created the Lin Manuel persona as a joke but Hamilton was wildly successful so he just kept it up and Apollo is FURIOUS that a) he’s overstepped into his domain and b) he’s so damn GOOD at it (much to the chagrin of literally everyone)

It’s like the dam cow thing all over again, but this time instead of stealing fifty of his cows Hermes stole his bit.
