my proposals for 2024 house md plots

kpop stan slash koreaboo is believed to have deadly cancerous lesions in her lungs before house bursts in at the eleventh hour to declare she's been poisoned by a rare toxic fungus found only in the korean peninsula, which she consumed via contaminated haitai grape candies

a young gamer develops a severe illness which is impossible to diagnose until he confesses to chase that he drank an e-girl's bathwater which he purchased on onlyfans, contracting a bacterial infection

a lamp otherkin gets tungsten poisoning from their collection of antique edison lightbulbs

several college students' lungs are filled with microplastics and the fellows are sent to every vape and weed shop near campus to find out what caused it (high nicotine blue raspberry disposable)

the entire princeton polycule commune comes down with a mysterious illness. foreman insists that the diagnostic team treat them all for std's and send them home. one of the nurses (also a member of the polycule) tells kutner about her landlord cutting corners, leading house to realize that they were all exposed to toxic low-cost paint at a recent orgy

a millionaire's car crash is blamed on his malfunctioning tesla cybertruck but house is not so sure. they discover the man shows signs of lowered brain capacity and, after an mri, the fellows discover lesions on the millionaire's brain and treat him for cancer. he gets worse. house is at his wit's end and cannot figure out what is wrong. after looking at the millionaire's grindset tiktok, house realizes his brain capacity isn't actually affected and he's just an idiot. the lesions are because he has also contracted an infection from onlyfans bathwater.

Kaeyappreciation post!

Kaeya is wonderful in a sense that he:

Has a penmanship described as "Beautiful Handwriting". He for sure worked on that.

Willingly spends his time making sure his outfit looks perfect

Is well-loved by Mondstadt and the Dawn Winery staff

Is described to like a prince, both in looks and in actions

Is shown to be gentle and caring to children and elderly, most seen with Klee and the staff from Dawn Winery

Is a great listener and, therefore, also knows what gifts to buy based off of something someone said in passing

Is predominantly kind- unafraid to help out and defend someone in need. His first reaction is always kindness, and worry about covering up that kindness later on

But Kaeya also has his moments where he:

Says things out of pocket with enough alcohol in his system. Things that usually lead to shame and regret.

Would rather give others the credit for his hard work if he could help it

Intentionally makes himself look suspicious by withholding information and only throwing tidbits that are not of substance

Has sadist tendencies, which affects how he treats both his (cavalry) company and his enemies

Can and will use underhanded tactics to gain the upper hand

Rarely ever says what he truly wants to say

Has a fake smile. Usually lies or only deals with half truths.

He is such a complex character. I really do want people to appreciate him and his intricacies more. The fact that his entire personality and story is done so well and continues to actually grow and expand as the story progresses is something that genuinely makes me want to keep watch of him. I have never, in all my fandoms, stuck to a character as long as I did with Kaeya, and honestly? I know I'm not alone with this.

the removal of mask mandates in particular in the USA is partly because face masks interfere with the surveillance state

you should be masking anyway to limit the spread of covid and other respiratory viruses, but when combined with other tactics, masking is also very effective at improving anonymity

always assume that whenever you leave your home you are being watched and potentially filmed. behave accordingly

thinking about how len literally carries a weapon that's designed to hurt barry. like. it's his ultimate physical weakness condensed into gun form. i don't think we talk enough about that, honestly. the fact that the gun is more than just a gun to len at this point, it quickly becomes a part of him, and so he's constantly carrying around a weapon that is designed to hurt barry as efficiently as possible

if my brain was working rn i'd be doing a whole analysis of the vulnerability of like. having to put that trust in someone who literally holds the tools to destroy you not just in an emotional sense but in a very tangible, physical one, knowing that they have that capability and trusting them not to abuse it, and how it's like a physical manifestation of the ultimate trust of their relationship, seeing someone holding the knife in their hands, sliding it between your ribs and trusting them not to twist... idk man

Okay here we go:

Archer: He lost Trip. Straight up. He's nowhere to be found (he wandered into the shark exhibit and made friends with the shark keepers and is now helping feed the sharks). The zoo has to call Archer before Archer realizes he is gone.

Pike: His kids keep wandering off but he knows them well enough to find them. He's exhausted and the bus returns to school 2 hours late because Uhura and Spock found some fun exhibits to look at, but everyone makes it home.

Kirk: All his students make it home but he does not. He got distracted talking with a museum guide about 1 interesting statue and waxed philosophical about it until the bus drivers got sick of waiting for him and left with the kids.

Picard: Try as he might to lose them, he makes it home with every student because they absolutely refuse to leave his side.

Sisko: All of his students make it home, but they are all slightly traumatized by the things they witnessed so are they really home? Can anyone every truly go home????????

Janeway: Would have lost Tom and Harry had it not been for the intervention of her co-teacher, Chakotay.

Freeman: She lost all of them except for Ransom and is 100% not going back to get them. They can figure it out.

Shaw: Got tired of everyone wandering off so he put his co-teacher, Seven of Nine, in charge.
