Hi! You said in your post that you accepted requests for Cnderella phenomenon. I read your rules and I have two prompts that I believe that fit your rules. The first prompt is a Lucette/Rod soulmates AU. The second prompt is Lucette's wedding with Rod. Sorry if I misunderstood any of your rules. Since you have an AO3 account, you can fullfil my prompts there if you like the ideas. I can't put the link, but you just have to search for the "otome games SFW plot bunnies" prompt meme challenge.

“Mother, are you and father in true love? Like in the fairytales?”
It seemed like the wrong thing to say, judging by how her mother’s lips quirked downwards, displeased.
Anyone living in the palace was accustomed to the tiny intricacies of Hildyr’s expressions. The way her brow furrowed in annoyance, or the specific way she held herself when she was angry.
It was an important skill to acquire while living in the palace, but no servants, not even the king himself were quite as adept as Lucette, the crown princess.
She loved her mother, truly.
Even when she was harsh, her mother would always be truthful and teach her the most valuable lessons.
That’s why she learned not to bother her, to be able to read her moods to guarantee that she wasn't being a burden.
That’s why she mustn’t waste her time with questions unless they’re truly important.
Still, as silly as it seemed, knowing this was of the utmost importance to Lucette.
At her age, a soul mark was bound to appear anytime and she needed to be prepared!
“I thought I forbid you to speak of fairytales. Have you been reading them?”
“N-no, Mother.” Lucette said, truthfully. She considered stealing one or two books but figured it wouldn’t be worth her mother’s ire. “I overheard someone in the palace talking about it today.”
“Then I have to find that person and make sure that they know what an appropriate topic of conversation in the palace is.”
“B-but mother, the true love in fairytales sounds so nice! Do you think I can fall in love with a prince?”
Her mother’s brows furrowed in annoyance. Lucette could feel it in the air— the static-y tension that arose every time she made a misstep.
She didn’t mean to insist. Didn’t mean to speak out of turn, but she really wished to know why.
Weren’t her parents in love? Why are they married then?
She heard whispers in the corridors about mother not being blessed with a marking. About her father being bound to another. Were these things true? Were they not just nasty rumours?
Hildyr’s hand touched Lucette’s chin, gently raising her head so that her mother could properly see her.
She smiled. It was the same smile she always gave before giving her a lesson.
Her answer wouldn’t please Lucette, she could already tell. None of mother’s lessons were ever things she’d wanted to hear, after all, but there was no use in being told comfortable lies only to have the truth revealed later on.
Lucette was a big girl of ten and the crown princess, she more than needed to be told the truth.
“Dearest one, true love like that does not exist.” She said, firmly. Lucette did her best to hide the disappointment she felt at the statement. “The love between mother and child is the truest kind. It cannot be replicated by anything else.”
“But… What about soulmates?”
“All other kinds of love are an illusion. My love is all you will ever need. Do you understand me, my heart?”
“Yes, mother.”
Fate, Lucette discerned, never had been particularly kind to her.
It was a bothersome thing. An annoyance, really.
She has been born with everything, all the pretty dolls and jewellery that any girl could ever dream of, Servants waiting on her, ready to realise her every whim.
She had everything.
Everything except a soulmate.
She used to yearn for it, at a young age.
Stand in front of the mirror and check every inch of her body for a mark, any mark, any indication that her soulmate was there and that they existed.
But it had been for nought. No markings ever appeared and she had been burdened with the knowledge that she was, in fact, alone.
It seemed fitting. Her father never loved her, he didn’t even like her most days, the servants would at best shower her with apathy and her own kingdom despised her despite Lucette not having ever set foot outside of the castle walls.
Mother had been Lucette’s only source of love, but she was long gone now, leaving only her lessons in her wake.
Romantic love, her mother taught her, was an illusory thing.
A useless invention. Something made to distract people from their duties.
Soulmates were much the same. An invisible shackle bound to your ankle. A mysterious magic made to limit people’s potential, a weakness.
It was a good thing Lucette didn’t have one, she had said, these things only cause heartbreak. They could only stop her from achieving greatness, like her mother.
Not long after Lucette’s questions about soulmates, exposing one’s soulmark and even the mention of fated ones made the list of the unmentionable topics in the castle, with strict punishment for noncompliance.
And with that, for years following, Lucette barely thought about it.
Emelaigne had a soul mark.
Because of course, she did.
Her new step-sister had a way of always managing to get things that Lucette had failed to acquire, even if she seemed to be a failure in all other regards.
Still, she had a soul mark that she loved to show off:
A white carnation on her left shoulder.
Purity .
Luck .
Pure love .
What a fucking joke .
Emelaigne’s mother, Ophelia, also had one:
A single forget-me-not, that seemed to perfectly match King Genaro’s.
Lucette had never even seen his marking before, the small flower on his wrist, against his pulse, being hidden by cufflinks and gloves before her mother’s death.
The only person in that family who didn’t seem quite as comfortable showing his soul mark off was Rod, who scarcely even mentioned it.
It made him slightly less intolerable than the rest of his family, in her eyes. It wasn’t strong praise, since he carried his own brand of despicable, but Lucette’s hatred towards him lessened by his inclination to keep to himself and not rub her inadequacy in her face, like his sister seemed to often do (even if, admittedly, accidentally).
Still, he had one.
She was certain of it, since Ophelia and Emelaigne would always talk about when he’d meet them instead of awkwardly side-stepping the topic like her father often did with her, when he even remembered her lack of soulmate.
Lucette had no idea what it was or where it was located, but the existence of Rod’s soulmate was a certainty.
(Distantly, she wondered what his mark looked like, but she banished these frivolous thoughts as soon as they appeared)
It was bad enough to be forced into playing happy families with commoners, but even worse when she was made to feel so out of place when this was supposed to be her court. Her family.
Maybe this is why her father showed them so much love and care.
They had marks.
They had a soul bond.
They were, by definition, loveable .
Lucette was no such thing.
He heard it often, Servants in the corridors whispering about how she didn’t have a mark because she lacked a soul. These cutting remarks bothered her far more than she ever cared to admit, even if they came from those below her.
(Distantly, she wondered if their jokes had a small backing in truth).
Not for the first time, she wished they’d all disappear.

cinderella phenomenon merch update
hi guys !! update on the cindphenon merch: they're coming along really nicely, and i should have previews for them up soon ! :DD
also little faq from the form, future order dates, sales misc etc below the cut:
will they be available internationally? yes ! but as i'm not based in the US, shipping to US and other parts of Asia/the rest of the world starts from around $10usd as i'll be using registered mail;; if you have a few friends in the same region as you, I'm open to group orders to help with shipping costs !
what characters will be available? as of now (and for the foreseeable future lol), it will be Rod, Karma, Rumpel, Fritz, Varg, Waltz, Lucette, Myth, Parfait and Delora based on the original game. all of them will have individual charms except Delora and Parfait, who will come together in the same charm as each other's front/back. Fritz and Varg will be available as both individual and same charm versions.
will Evermore versions be available? unfortunately, i don't think so unless this original batch does extraordinarily well haha// due to the style of the merch, it takes a long time to produce and i simply don't have the time to dedicate to so many characters again;; but if i change the designs...simplify them...hm...but then they wont match the og ver charms hrngh....i dont know haha !! im thinking about it !!! i really am !!! but ultimately this is very much a passion project for me so it is at the whims of my limited time and energy :"))
what about the results of the poll aka the front/back designs of Karma and Waltz? please wait and see when the previews are up! a hint: there were very clear majority winners on what the people wanted between the options :"DD
do previews include irl photos/samples? unfortunately not! i won't be receiving samples until sometime early nov, but you'll be able to see the full designs before then! however, i will be posting pictures of the irl samples when they arrive as well :))
when will they be available for sale ? as long as there's no delays/issues with the sample batch of charms, pre-order sales will open once i confirm the quality of the samples! so the projected timeline would be: - open pre-orders mid/late nov 2023. - to avoid Christmas shipping jams etc, pre-orders will close late dec 2023/early jan 2024 - shipping to begin sometime mid jan 2024 do take note that as this is a projected timeline, things are subjected to change. i will update the timeline accordingly when the ball starts rolling! if you're unable to purchase at that time, i will likely be opening a second sale after may 2024 to sell any leftovers after a local con. however as these will be leftover stock sales, i cannot guarantee that the character you want will still be available then.
i won't be able to pre-order from nov - jan, and i'm worried leftover stock won't include the charm i want. will you open pre-order sales for this set of charms again? maybe not. it depends on how well the sales of this initial batch does, as merch production can get quite expensive...if there's not much demand in this first round of sales and i'm unable to justify the high production+shipping fees, i may not be able to have a second sale. however, i am considering making other cindphenon merch as well (evermore charms, physical fanzines, but mainly Fritz + Varg related merch like a standee)! considering my schedule, these will most likely only be available post-may 2024, but i will keep you all updated on this! i will either reblog this post with any updates or make a new post on updates, so feel free to follow for merch news!
if you have any other questions, go ahead and shoot an ask through the inbox or reply to this post :D i'll get to them as quickly as possible, but take note i will answer all questions publicly for audience sake, so please use the anon feature in asks if you're uncomfortable with that!

dug this out from the deep deep depths of my drafts. it made me laugh so have at it: cindphenon LIs as dads + bonus mom lucette
Rod: surprisingly sensible and steady. is nervous and antsy in the beginning but admires both his fathers A Ton so tries his best to bring their best qualities to the forefront: ever present and very loving. quiet but very supportive parent, encourages his child’s pursuits of any interest (be it a hobby or a person). will fucking snide anyone who talks smack about his kid being a fine arts major. may be a little overbearing and critical at times but only because he wants the best for his child.
Karma: pta mum. throws hands every weekend with karen and her disgusting brownies. will let you know how his kid is better than yours in a very smug and ‘oh did you hear’ kind of way. lets his kid know all the time that they deserve the whole fucking world. maybe spoils them a bit too much. meddles in the kid’s love life all the time. the weaker parent to the puppy eyes. doesnt like to play bad cop, tends to give in to the kid a lot lmao.
Rumpel: super straight laced parent in the streets, absolute mess in the sheets. gives kid unsolicited advice 24/7. workaholic dad but always makes it in home for dinner and keeps his weekends free. slides a cake into their room when theyre sad bc he doesnt want to force them to talk but Also doesnt want them to be sad alone. definitely disappointed when kids dont want to follow in his footsteps but very enthusiastic in seeing what they want to forge for themselves.
Fritz: must call if staying past curfew or he’ll call the cops and make them put out an amber alert. overprotective and can be smothering but very, very loving and never gives his children a reason to doubt that love. 100% behind his kid and is proud of them no matter what - from acing a test to egging a house. will say ‘i love you’ and tuck them in every night, even when they’re grown, and will fucking Cry when they move out/leave his side. definitely punched another dad once.
Waltz: actually the best dad. a natural with handling people, a safe figure to confide in, knows when to pry, and when to leave his kid alone. showers kids with lots of love, never lets them go without. the type to read bedtimes stories at night and puts peeled oranges into their lunch boxes. last day of school its an unpeeled orange and a note that says “its time to learn how to peel your own oranges :”(”. can be too nice/soft, but stern when it comes to necessary discipline.
bonus:
Lucette: stern but fair mother, always encouraging and kind but will scold her child if needed. talks to her children like theyre adults, but always expects them to behave like kids. plays bad cop as often as she tells them ‘i love you’. an unsure parents and lots of self-doubt in the beginning, but never fails to put her child first. shows her love through actions more than words. trying her best to be better every day.

Hello!! I’m not sure if your requests are still open for Cinderella Phenomenon but I recently played the game and have been super in love with Fritz 🥲 if it’s okay can I request a prompt with him ( x reader ) where he’s comforting reader kinda like how he did with Lucette when she had the nightmare. Thank you!!
Hey, love!! Requests for Cinderella Phenomenon are open but only for Rod and Waltz.
However, I've been intending to play Fritz route once more (honestly I don't remember much of what happens in it). I'll keep your request in mind and, if possible, write it once I get a look at his personality and the scene you mentioned again 😊

Hidden Under the Canopy of the Trees
Summary: Rod and Lucette steal a moment for themselves in the damp darkness of the forest.
Rating: MA - Content is only suitable for mature adults. May contain explicit language and adult themes.
Words: 1100
Notes: We all know that Rod’s a pervert. That’s why he “thinks so loud”. Poor Sebby, the things he must’ve seen!
Tumblr media
“You have to be quiet, darling.” Rod said against her ear.
That rare, precious voice wrapped itself around Lucette like the soft morning breeze on the open wheat fields, gently caressing her limbs with soft touches, sending shivers down her spine. The darkness of the shadows from the forest trees kept his features hidden from her, allowing the adopted prince to kiss her lips with his, tasting her with his tongue finding hers, dancing like mischievous birds that were chasing one another.
“Rod, if you don’t hurry, we’ll have to…” The rest of her sentence evaporated into silence.
Her head tilted back as his clothed cock rubbed against her heat, pushing her closer to the edge of desperation she was balancing on. The winds are blowing stronger through the woods and the birds chirp their own song, telling them of the safety of their temporary abode. The forest will guard them, even when they are not able to guard themselves anymore.
“Be patient, I’m right here.” The blond man muttered against her lips.
His cold fingers worked on lifting her skirts and helping her legs snake out of her hosen. For a moment, he lifted her off his lap, giving her enough space to shuffle out of her clothes while he pulled his cock free.
For days, they have been teasing one another, but no time had been free for them to give into their longing. No longer were they taking care of their shared kingdom, no longer there are matters of state interest to be attended to, no more guests or lessons, no more curses to be broken or cast.
Now, as it was just the two of them alone in the woodland, they were desperate to give into the passion thumping through their bodies.
“You’re soaked, darling. You’re so warm and so good.” He teased.
Lucette crawled back into his lap, thighs spread for him and his wandering hands. His raspy words felt like bullets piercing through her skin, leaving her crying and begging, she was addicted to her own stepbrother, to his taste, his touches, and his kind heart.
The blond kissed her neck. “Maker, I can’t wait to feel you.”
Rod’s fingers brushed through her slit, he was spreading her arousal on her clit, rubbing the bundle of nerves with his heart roaring in excitement. The crown princess could not stop her moans from bleeding from her lips, she could not help but move even closer to him, hand finding his cock in the shade.
“Rod…” His name rolled off her tongue, echoing through the humid darkness with desperation guiding it through the void. “Fuck me, I’m begging you.”
Without replying to her words, Rod lifted her hips, he grasped his cock, ran his tip through her slit a few times before she sank down on him.
Both moaned in unison, eyes fluttering close to let the sweet sensation wash through them. For a moment nothing moved, no sounds could be heard, it was just the two lovers and their racing hearts. Falling in love all over again.
Lucette started to move up and down his cock, fucking herself with it. The man’s hands wandered to her sides, stroking her soft skin with his head resting against the metallic seat. Both felt like they were floating, weightless bodies that kept moving through space, guided by their love. Even if they would fade to nothing within the next moments, they’d stayed connected, bodies and souls.
“Rub my clit, please.” The usually stoic lady moaned her plea.
She needed more, wanted to feel his thumb pushing her to her limits as his tip brushed against her swollen spot.
A few groans rumbled through the other prince as his hand found her cunt. She could feel him deep inside of her, buried to the hilt with every ferocious thrust.
“Hold onto me, princess.” Rod rose from the damp soil, with his hands placed on her behind, keeping her close until he pushed her against the nearest tree bark.
He fucked into her with his moans clawing through him. It was raw, rough and dirty, though something about it felt awfully intimate. Even as a string of curses rumbled through him, Lucette felt her heart fluttering in excitement.
“I love you, Rod.” She moaned.
“I love you.” He replied to her words with a kiss pressed to her swollen lips.
His hips snapped against hers, Rod tried to keep her head away from the wall, not wanting to hurt her as he fucked her raw. Soon enough, both would cum for the first time that fortnight, followed by a few shared kisses before they would find themselves again in town, in the palace, being watched closely and having to say goodbye to what they share.
This is the way. this love is what they have been born for, made for one another in the stars before they have found their life in this universe.
“I’m close, I...” She warns, scratching his pale back.
Lucette’s walls fluttered around his cock and, judging from his moans, Rod was just as close to his orgasm, ready to fill her with his cum painting her fleshy insides white.
“Cum inside of me, Rod.” She commanded.
“Are you sure?” He asked, surprised by the request.
For a moment his pace began to falter, his eyes are searching for hers in the darkness, bodies connected by slow thrusts. The please that left her urged him on to find his pace again, he kept spearing her on his cock with his teeth nibbling on her throat.
“Yes. They won’t be able to keep me away from you, then.” He smiled and began his thrusting anew. “I’m going to fill you up. Fuck, I want to see you round with my child. Beautiful, darling.”
Both came in unison, pushed over the edge with their hearts racing and their vision blurred. His heat began to spread through her, her walls clamped down on his cock, desperately trying to keep the man close.
As her muscles give out, spent with the physical activity that they shared together, Lucette begins to slip down the tree bark, wishing for the soft embrace of the damp soil beneath.
“I got you, don’t let go.” The man assures her.
Carefully, Rod pulled out of her. He had to stabilize her frame, pushed against his naked chest with his chin placed on top of her head. He felt her heart pumping in her chest, calling out to him with the sweetest tune, and with the sun setting behind the two, they kept strengthening their bond.

This is a fic I wrote in 2017, I just stumbled on it so I'm posting it as-is without any editing. Also it's been so long I don't remember much about the game, so I can't even tell if any of the characterization is off, but I thought it was cute!
Klaude/Lucette, Delora/Parfait
I sat still on my bed while Klaude sat behind me braiding my hair. His hands were gentle and careful as he moved down. Finally he finished. I turned around and smiled at him.
“Thanks,” I said, giving him a quick kiss on the cheek. Then I glanced up at the clock on the other end of the room. “Shit! It’s almost two already. And we haven’t even done your hair yet!” I leaped up and started rummaging through the things on my desk.
“Oh, it’s fine,” Klaude said dismissively, still lounging on the bed. “We’ll be fashionably late.”
I glared at him. “We can’t do that to Parfait and Delora. Delora would never shut up about it.”
“Well, you’d better work quickly then!” he said, turning around to let me start doing his hair.
“Fine. Something simple this time.” I thought about what to do for a few moments and settled on the same style I had. We might look a little silly together, but there wasn’t time for anything else.
I stood up and turned him around to face me. “Hmm...” I said critically. “No time for anything complicated with makeup either.” He had already done mine before doing my hair.
“Just do some lipstick,” he said with a shrug. “After all, it’s the most important part of my face,” smirking a little.
“Oh shush,” I said, turning away, but I had to admit he was right. I smiled as I thought of the first time I had helped him with his makeup. It was before our relationship had even started and I barely knew anything about him, not even his real name. He always liked to tease me, and I would get so defensive and blushy. These days I was more used to it, and I found it endearing most of the time. It’s one of the most charming things about Karma, how affectionate and forward he can be. And thank goodness too, otherwise we may never have ended up together after everything. I quickly found a nice shade and carefully applied it. I took another moment to inspect his face and stepped away satisfied. “Alright, let’s go.”
I almost ran out of the room with Karma close behind (“Slow down darling! There’s no need to be in such a rush!”) We almost literally ran into Emelaigne on our way out.
“Hello Lucette! Hello, uh, Klaude?”
“Yes it’s me!” he said, running past. “I just have my hair up!”
“Gender roles are a lie!” I yelled on my way past.
“Okay!” Emelaigne yelled back. “Have fun!”
We went to the Marchen without any guards (although my father would have been upset if he knew) through a secret tunnel that Rod had shown me soon after I came back to the palace.
I sat back and watched as Delora showed Lucette how to do some spells and then helped her through them. I always liked to come see her train. At first, I was worried that it might distract her, but she said she needed to get used to distractions anyway, like I always said. I just love watching her work. She likes to watch me swordfight too, but she often does more than watch. I wish I could do something to help her or participate in this part of her life, but at least I get to chat with Parfait while I’m here. I notice that she is staring at them just as intently as I am.
“Enjoying the performance, Parfait?” I ask/tease.
“It’s wonderful to watch. She makes witchcraft look so...graceful.”
“She? You mean...Delora?” I ask, following her gaze into the other room.
“Oh, it’s obvious isn’t it?”
“I can’t say I ever noticed before...”
“That’s because you were too caught up in Lucette and your curse.” She sighs. “Yes, I really like Delora.”
“Have you told her? Do I have to play the matchmaker again?”
“No, I haven’t told her. I hardly think she feels the same way, and I don’t want to ruin our relationship. Especially when it’s so important that we work together to train Lucette and run the Marchen. It wouldn’t be very professional, would it?”
“Professional? I hardly think the Marchen is a professional work environment. I’ve seen the stuff that goes on here every day. Besides you live here. The Marchen is more than just your work, it’s your home. You have the right to do whatever you want in your own home.”
“I see your point. But I feel so selfish for pursuing my own interests like this. I can’t afford to be distracted by personal things like this when I have so many people to take care of.”
“Well, clearly it’s already distracting you. If you put it out there, you’ll get an answer, and then you can focus completely on your responsibilities. You workaholic. Besides, I don’t think Delora will say no.....”
MEANWHILE:
“Is this right, Delora?” No answer. “Delora?” Lucette stopped focusing on her magic to turn her head and look at her mentor.
“Oh, um, yes, that looks right! You’re making good progress princess.”
Lucette eyed her suspiciously. “Were you...looking at Parfait?”
“What? Yes, I was making sure they were okay over there.”
“Were you checking to see if she was watching you?”
“Lucette! Concentrate, don’t let the spell fade away!” Delora admonished the princess, but her face was pink. Lucette renewed her spell (which was an illusion maybe?) and laughed.
“Delora! Don’t change the subject!
“Well even if I was I’m not about to talk about this to you, so you might as well drop it,” Delora said, turning away.
“Oh, come on, I’m not the ice princess anymore. I got Jurien and Garland together, I can do it again.”
“Lucette, are you trying to get out of your lessons?”
“Delora, are you afraid to admit your feelings?”
“I’m not afraid to admit my feelings!” Delora snapped.
“Awfully defensive, huh? If you’re not afraid, why don’t you go over there and tell her, right now?”
“We’re in the middle of a lesson, princess. Besides, she’s the Lucis bearer. I’ve dated fairies before, but this would just be impractical.”
“You’re a witch, most things you do are impractical. Just tell her, I’m not waiting months this time like I did with Garlan.”
“If it will get you to focus on the rest of the lesson, princess, I promise to say something to her after we’re done.”
“Something is better than nothing, I suppose.” They continue the lesson, etc, blah blah blah.
After the lesson was over, Delora and Lucette walked out to where Parfait and Klaude were watching. Lucette and Klaude walked out of the room to give them some privacy, and then he turned to her.
“Well, I just got them together, so do you want to watch this time?”
“What do you mean you got them together? I convinced Delora to talk to Parfait about her feelings, just like I convinced Garlan.”
Klaude smiled at her. “Well, Garlan didn’t count. I was the one who talked to him about it before you even came to the Marchen. You just happened to deliver the finishing blow.”
“You weren’t making any progress with him before I came and you know it.”
Klaude looked offended/affronted at the suggestion. “Darling, I--” Suddenly he stopped and looked over Lucette’s shoulder. She turned around to see what he was staring at, and saw Parfait in Delora’s arms, both of them passionately kissing each other.
“Ugh, Klaude, don’t watch them,” she said, turning back around and tugging on his arm.
Klaude stared for a few more moments and then shook his head, turning with her. “You’re right, love. They’re like our moms, I can’t watch them.” Lucette laughed as they walked out together, leaving their mentors to figure the rest out themselves.
Delora slowly pulled away from the kiss and stared into Parfait’s eyes. Parfait gazed back, but suddenly broke away as she seemed to realize something.
“Oh! They left!”
“Well I should hope so,” Delora replied, looking toward the doorway. “Although I’m sure Karma wanted to spy on us.”
“I just feel bad if we made them uncomfortable and cut our visit short. We should have--”
“Shush,” Delora said, and planted another kiss on her lips. Parfait sighed. “Don’t feel bad. How many times have they embarrassed themselves being disgustingly sweet in front of everyone? I think we deserve a turn now too, especially after all we’ve given them.”
Parfait sighed again. “I can’t believe this whole time, we both...”
“Frustrating, isn’t it?” Delora’s eyebrows came down and she gently held both of Parfait’s hands. “Still...in a way you were right. If I’d known I could kiss you when Lucette was living here, no one would have been able to find either of us. / I would never have stopped, and the King might be dead right now.”
Parfait gave a little gasp and laughed. “Delora!” she exclaimed.
“It’s true!” Delora smiled and put an arm around Parfait. They both looked around and surveyed the Marchen.
“Back to work then?” she said.
“Oh come on, Parfait,” Delora pouted. “We just started our relationship. Don’t you think we deserve a little time to ourselves? Especially since we have the Marchen empty for a while...”

Cinderella Phenomenon: Evermore (Submission)
It is I, Cinderella Phenomenon anon (that's still a lot of fun to say), returning after all this time... because, you see, the visual novel's sequel has finally been released!  So I'm typing this up as I play, to update you on what happens with stepsiblings-to-lovers Lucette and Rod after the events of the first game.  And boy, am I hyped--I've been waiting for this for 3 years (so I apologize in advance for the length).  So onward we go, to what happens after the "happily ever after."
Two years have passed, and Lucette has begun repairing her fractured relationship with her father, as well as becoming closer to her stepfamily after the events of CP1.  We open with her eagerly waiting for a letter from Rod, something that happens regularly.  For the past year, he has been acting as a dance instructor in a friend's neighboring kingdom, as a result of a wish he made because "he insisted that if he wanted to prove himself worthy of [Lucette's] hand, he needed to recraft his reputation from the ground up."  Lucette doesn't agree it's necessary and kinda resents how he made this decision without considering her feelings.  It's been two months since his last visit, and she worries he might not miss her as much as she misses him.
Since the first game, both the queen and king have found out about their children's relationship (and they love and support them).  The couple continued to keep it secret from the public because of how it would look.  But eventually, in the face of such strain, they turned to magic, hence Rod's wish.
Essentially, it works like Lucette's curse did--he wished to be a commoner, so he'd be free to pursue the woman he loves.  (He made sure the wish would only affect himself, not Emelaigne or their mother, because he's still so devoted to his family, and in light of that, he had one more parameter.  His family still remembers who he is--as well as the other characters from CP who are involved in magic and such--and he writes to the whole family regularly.)
Although obviously his family misses him, Em says of herself and their parents, "Rod loves you, Lucette.... It's why we decided to support his decision.  We want you both to be happy."  Although it's not completely unexpected as a viewer, it's sweet that they all came together to support the relationship and what Rod feels the need to do.  Even when it makes things hard, when they can't show affection for him in public when he's supposed to be a commoner.  (Also, Em and Lucette really have come so far in their sisterly bond in the past couple years, and it's also so sweet.)
Rod returns to the castle, having kept his visit secret to surprise Lucette.  They're so happy to see each other and so unabashed about showing it--such a far cry from the dislike --> very grudging fondness that used to characterize their dynamic.  They've grown a lot more comfortable with showing their feelings for each other (even in front of their dad).
Though they can still be delightfully tsundere toward each other, as seen after Lucette's initial shock at the reunion wears off.  ("I missed your glower," she tells him.  "Do you have to point out every time my face changes?" he asks, and she says, "If it embarrasses you, then yes." They're such a delight.)
Rod is here under the guise that he's become the new royal dance instructor until the upcoming ball--never mind how, if you'll recall from the first game, Lucette is an accomplished dancer, as evidenced by their dance scenes together.  The couple has a rendezvous the next day in the forest where they used to meet up before their parents found out about their relationship, and they dance together again.
The announcement of the new dance instructor causes a stir in the castle.  Lucette overhears a couple maids wondering about why they've seen Rod visit the castle in the past, and one posits that he may be courting Emelaigne since they seem very close (as Lucette struggles not to laugh). The other maid notes how similar Rod and Em look, and wonders if he's courting Lucette instead.
Meanwhile, it's clear that Rod and Em are hiding something from Lucette, and she's unsure what (calling it now, he's gonna propose).  Obviously it's not related to the previous speculation, nor does Lucette assume anything of the sort, but since the scene happens right afterward, it's funny to note. After Em leaves, Lucette tells Rod about the "courting Em" rumors to mess with him (they still have a bickery-siblings type of dynamic, which is fun). He's bewildered and asks if there were rumors about him courting Lucette, but she teases that "I suppose we have no chemistry." He says, "That just means our acting is impeccable."
However, Lucette gets somber then, asking him how long they'll have to keep pretending they aren't together.  Since Rod made this wish so they wouldn't have to hide their love anymore, why are they still having to hide? She asks if he's worried the people will judge him harshly like they did to his mom when she married the king, but Rod says he doesn't care if they judge him, but is worried about how they'll judge Lucette.
Rod says that when he'd told Lucette about the wish he wanted to make last year, he thought she'd seemed hopeful, even if she was concerned--otherwise he wouldn't have gone through with it. He assures her that he has a plan. "From here on out," he tells her, "we face our problems together."  It's nice that--even if they still struggle with communication at times, because of their histories--they've gotten better at it.  They dance together again.
The next day, Rod and the king tell Lucette that Rod has officially requested permission to court her, so they won't have to keep hiding now.  Again, Lucette is thrilled and not ashamed to show it (again, even in front of their dad--who just reacts to this stuff with a fond smile, and I love that).
Also, something I didn't bring up in my previous review of CP, but it comes up in another conversation here--how there's a parallel between the ideas of commoners marrying royals (with the queen and king) and Rod and Lucette's relationship, in the original and now in the sequel when Lucette mentions (when a little boy mentions that her suitor "isn't" a prince) how titles "should not be a hindrance when it comes to love" and everyone should be free to love whomever they want.
Their friends throw them a celebration for their courtship.  It's nice how they're surrounded by supportive family and friends.  Also someone tells Lucette "I'm glad you found someone just as stubborn as you to cherish," which totally sums up their dynamic tbh.
(I'd also like to mention a new dynamic introduced in the sequel.  Parfait, an important character from the original, has a cousin Sinna who she's training to be her successor now.  He's grouchy as opposed to Parfait's gentle kindness, though she assures them that he's "quite pleasant once you get to know him" and seems to genuinely mean it.  Lucette immediately sees the similarities with Rod, and I love it. There's undoubtedly more going on with Sinna in other routes since they wouldn't introduce a new character otherwise, but he doesn't show up much in this one. Still, they're fun.)
Meanwhile, both Lucette and Emelaigne have noticed that Rod is stressed and overworking himself, and they're determined to help him.  I love how they're a team when it comes to looking out for him, even if he doesn't want them to. Lucette finds out he's been learning to swordfight in secret, believing that this will benefit the couple in the long run. He isn't ready to explain what he means yet, though.
Sebby (his plush former translator when he was cursed with silence) assures Lucette that it's less that Rod's keeping a secret and more that he wants to surprise her, and Rod confirms this later and assures her that he just didn't want her to worry for him (too late, buddy).  But now he's realizing he did just that.
Again, it's nice to see how they're getting better with communication, but still struggling with it because of their past baggages. This feels like a natural continuation of both their individual character arcs and their relationship arc. Also, Rod's definitely trying to subtly get a feel for Lucette's thoughts on marriage now.
Emelaigne has a potential suitor, and it's nice to see her and Lucette talking relationships and how Em treats this potential romance and Lucette/Rod's romance just the same. She's a wonderful, accepting angel and we don't deserve her. Also she hasn't told Rod yet because he can be "very overprotective.  One time, a suitor sent me flowers, and Rod trailed him back to his home and bombarded him with questions. ...He's always been that way." I love what a fiercely protective brother Rod is, despite being a couple years younger than Em. And then Lucette jokes about peppering this potential suitor with questions to make sure he's "worthy" of Em too.  (The ot3 is real, y'all.)
The ball arrives, and--yep, called it! Rod proposes to Lucette. The whole family congratulates them (and again, it's so nice to see how they've come to wholeheartedly accept their relationship... but then, how could they not, when it's helped both of them grow so much?). And the day Lucette walked in on Rod and Em being suspicious, he'd been showing Em the ring and they had to hide it from Lucette quickly. Rod and Lucette dance together again, and I just really like dancing as a recurring motif that shows the evolution of their relationship.
(And then they go to talk together in her room after the ball. Lucette asks him to stay the night so she can sleep next to him, and they're so endearingly awkward about it. He's all "I want to stay with you. Tonight and... whenever you'll have me. And I'll do... whatever you're comfortable with." Which is currently lots of kissing and then sleeping, but god, they're cute and wholesome af.)
Several months pass since the engagement, and Lucette and Rod are studying to make sure they'll be the best rulers they can be once their father cedes the throne. Meanwhile, Em is going for a visit to her new beau's country, so the couple makes her a plush together (Rod is awful at it, but as always he works so hard) to make her feel more at home while she's away. Also Rod mentions his worry that Em will be gone for a while and make them wait like he made Lucette wait, and the explicit parallel is neat. Plus, I just love how much this whole family, imperfect as it is, cares for each other.
Also, even though the wedding isn't just yet, Rod goes ahead and makes his vows to Lucette in her room that evening, and... yeah, judging by how they wake up the next day, it was definitely more than kissing this time. But still wholesome af. Rod teases her for being embarrassed until she threatens to kiss him to shut him up, which was totally the plan all along. The "shut up" kiss is definitely a pattern with them, and another fun thing about the dynamic. the story ends with an ending card assuring the audience that their love lasted forevermore.
Alternately to the last paragraph (depending on player choices), there's a nice scene of Rod and Lucette in the woods where they used to covertly meet up for their dates, and a really nice line from Rod: "Fate sure loves to toy with us. [a callback to the previous game] ...For you, I would do anything.  Confronting fate was nothing." They make a pinkie promise (aww) to not keep any more secrets and to instead face everything together in the future.
So we only get 2 Good Endings on this route, y'all. Hell yes. They're adorable together, I love the continuation of their arcs, and I'm so happy that they did get the acceptance and congratulations on their relationship that they deserved from the people they love. Also, Emelaigne = best sister/wingman, confirmed again.
Sorry for the length of this commentary. As I said, I was writing it as I played through Rod's route of the sequel for the first time, and I couldn't help but gush because they're so delightful. If you read all this, I really appreciate it!
Cinderella Phenom-ANON here--quick addition to my submission about the sequel as I continue playing! In Klaude's route, we get to know his younger brother Lance, and they're both charming and very competitive with each other, with their similarities spurring the rivalry, which is fun. It's also confirmed that (outside the route where they get together) Lucette and Rod are also competitive with each other, and apparently they have a running challenge about who's the better dancer, lol

I had some asks about Cinderella Phenomenon and totally missed these older asks that were in my inbox. I must have done a typo when I was searching.
THANK YOU FOR ALL OF THIS. I love details, always!
Lucette and Rod are SO cute. How nice it must have been to get to follow them being cute as an established couple after shipping them so hard in the first one.
