My brother was humming Harvester of Sorrow by Metallica, and for a moment I thought he was saying Hamster of Sorrow😂😂😂
0 notes
same thing here. part 2!!
---- angst:
- wish you were here (pink floyd)
self explanatory. someone dies. riot or ghost remeniscing on the people closest to their heart who are no longer with them
- the unforgiven (metallica)
this song is ghost. send post.
- welcome home sanitarium (metallica)
ghost or riot while they was captured :((
---- lovey:
- amore mio aiutami (pierro piccioni)
this song plays when ghost and riot are having a moment <33
- nothing else matters (metallica)
(the original version, not the demo). ghost and riot. i think of this as ghost finally acknowledging and accepting his feelings for her and being true to his feelings (kind of confessing to himself)
- k. (cigarettes after sex)
substitute kristen with riot. maybe ghost and riot finally had a vulnerable moment and he craves her more than ever, but instead admires her from a distance. this song always seems to me as though the narrator is reminiscing of the past/a past situation, so maybe this is while riot gets captured (im already projecting my idea into this im sorry) and he's reminiscing of that past vulnerability
---- reflecting/miscellaneous:
- hybrid moments (misifts)
riot!! poor riot. someone thinking this ab her
---- battlefield/metal:
- harvester of sorrow (metallica)
GHOST. the lyrics scream ghost. and a mad one. run while you can. it's no use though
- wherever i may roam (metallica)
ghost or soap. but especially ghost. lone wolf kinda vibe. an anthem of his if you will.
- the four horsemen (metallica)
tf141!! (before riot, because now they're five... but it still counts!!) don't mess with them 😵‍💫😵‍💫
- master of puppets (metallica)
deep in the middle of the war. evil people trying to get the upper hand
- ride the lightning (metallica)
maybe while ghost was captured? still fits with anyone
Tumblr media
Omg yes yes yes YES 😭

Metallica: If Darkness Had a Son (Official Music Video)
Lyrics: Temptation Temptation Temptation Temptation
The beast still shouts for what it's yearning He stokes the fire, desire burning The never-ending quenchless craving The unforgiving misbehaving
If darkness had a son, here I am Temptation is his father If darkness had a son, here I am I bathe in holy water Temptation, leave me be
Temptation Temptation Temptation Temptation
So paint your eyes as black as sorrow Hide yourself behind tomorrow The nightmares search for infiltration In domination, captivation
If darkness had a son, here I am Temptation is his father If darkness had a son, here I am I bathe in holy water Temptation, leave me be
Return again to where it's darkest Dragging home this heathen harvest And all the children subjugated Manipulated, propagated
If darkness had a son, here I am Temptation is his father If darkness had a son, here I am I bathe in holy water
If darkness had a son, here I am If darkness had a son, here I am If darkness had a son, here I am I bathe in holy water Temptation, leave me be

i need this to reach the stranger things fandom bc i have no one irl to infodump on and i need someone to tell me if i’m right or if i’m going insane 🙃
i’m gonna sound like a raving lunatic but bear with me. before Joseph Quinn privated his eddie playlist on spotify i screenrecorded the song list for future reference (i like to make playlists for people/feelings its not weird leave me alone ab it) and after looking at all the songs, Mr. Quinn hella privated that playlist for a reason…
The Promise - When In Rome: “If you need a friend, don't look to a stranger. You know in the end, I'll always be there. And when you're in doubt, and when you're in danger, take a look all around and I'll be there.”
i mean, thats pretty self explanatory. lol
Another Land - Medio Mutante: “And we could walk through the dreams you would see what I mean. I could take your hand in another land.”
i could be reaching for this one, but “in another land” just makes me think of the upside down.
Collapsing New People - Fad Gadget: “Fated - collapsing new people. Watch them - collapsing.”
i mean… do i really need to explain this? ChRiSsY WaKe Up!!!
I Ran (So Far Away) - A Flock Of Seagulls: “And I ran, I ran so far away.”
queue the many times Eddie references how he runs from danger.
Breaking The Law - Judas Priest:
i’m not gonna put lyrics for this one bc the entire song is relevant. Our favorite freak is a 20 yo senior in high school, sells drugs to students, on the run as a prime suspect for several murders. do i need to keep going?
Metropolis - Motörhead: “Metropolis, the worlds divide. Ain't nobody on the other side. I don't care, I'm not there.”
foreshadowing, anyone?
Love Me Forever - Motörhead: “Every way out takes you back to the start. Everyone dies to break somebody's heart.”
i mean COME ON.
Orgasmatron - Motörhead: “I lead you to your destiny, I lead you to your grave. Your bones will build my palaces, your eyes will stud my crown.”
this song, these lines specifically, makes me think of Vecna’s POV.
Stoned Bikers In Space - Black Space Riders: “[…]creatures, looking for a fight. Wanna ride, wanna hide, don't wanna die tonight.” (i cant find any lyrics sites that say whatever theyre saying before creatures and i have poor listening skills without subtitles so F in the chat)
BUT again, self explanatory.
96 Quite Bitter Beings - CKY: “Footprints giving clue to where we are. All we ever wanted was an answer. Civilized are close but way too far.”
this reminds me of the scene when Eddie, Steve, Robin, and Nancy are in the upside down communicating with Dustin and the gang. i dont think i need to elaborate further there. lol
Master of Puppets - Metallica:
not gonna put specific lyrics for this one either, the entire song just sounds like another Vecna POV.
Flesh Into Gear - CKY: “Flesh into gear, my self appears dissected and pretentious. A simple sound, a heavy side could win the whole world over. You live in fear of being someone that you didn't want to. I realize your insecurities will get the best of you.”
a simple sound being the plot point of hearing your favorite song to escape Vecna. Your insecurities, the way Vecna preys on your insecurities or your guilt in order to take your life.
War Pigs - Black Sabbath: “Sorcerer of death's construction.” “Time will tell on their power minds, making war just for fun. Treating people just like pawns in chess. Wait till their judgement day comes.” “Begging mercy for their sins.”
more Vecna inclusion.
The Thing That Should Not Be - Metallica: “He searches, hunter of the shadows is rising. Immortal. In madness you dwell. Crawling chaos, underground, cult has summoned, twisted sound.” “Drain you of your sanity, face the thing that should not be.”
moooore Vecna inclusion, but from another perspective.
For Whom The Bell Tolls - Metallica:
*gestures violently at the name of the song*
Harvester of Sorrow - Metallica: “Invade their nightmares to see into my eyes, you'll find where murder lies.”
Vecna
Motorhead - Hawkwind: “Fourth day, five day marathon, we're movin' like a parallelogram. Let's go, see you on the only house. Don't move, except they’re gonna kill the lights.”
the parallelogram part may be reaching, but parallel universe, upside down vs hawkins. (also hawkins, hawkwind… is it THAT far of a reach?) only house could be the house Vecna is in in the upside down. they’re gonna kill the lights bc the lights explode when Vecna kills. could be setting something up…
Sad But True - Metallica:
*gestures at the title once more*
In My Time Of Dying - Led Zeppelin:
do i- do i really have to point it out…
Neon Knights - Black Sabbath: “Circles and rings, dragons and kings, weaving a charm and a spell. Blessed by the night, holy and bright. Called by the toll of the bell. Bloodied angels fast descending, moving on a never-bending light. Phantom figures free forever, out of shadows, shining ever-bright.”
this makes me think of the parallels they all draw from their DnD campaigns and their real world. also another reference to the bell toll.
Creeping Death - Metallica: “I rule the midnight air, the destroyer. Born, I shall soon be there, deadly mass. I creep the steps and floor, final darkness.”
idk why the Metallica songs just come across as Vecna POV’s… but tell me i’m wrong.
The Trooper - Iron Maiden: “You'll take my life, but I'll take yours too. You'll fire your musket, but I'll run you through. So when you're waiting for the next attack, you'd better stand, there's no turning back.”
this is all assuming Eddie dies in Vol. 2, but this makes it sound like he has a hand in Vecna’s death somehow.
Sabbath Bloody Sabbath - Black Sabbath: “The gates of life have closed on you, and now there's just no return. You're wishing that the hands of doom could take your mind away. And you don't care if you don't see again the light of day.”
again, assuming it’s Eddie that dies, this would just describe Vecna’s curse.
The Last In Line - Dio: “We're off to the witch. We may never, never, never come home. But the magic that we'll feel is worth a lifetime.”
referencing Vecna as the sorcerer in their dnd campaign.
Seek And Destroy - Metallica: “There is no escape and that’s for sure. This is the end, we won't take any more. Say goodbye to the world you live in. You’ve always been taking but now you’re giving.”
idk how to be more clear about this one
Children of the Grave - Black Sabbath: “Revolution in their minds, the children start to march, against the world in which they have to live and all the hate that's in their hearts. They're tired of being pushed around and told just what to do. They'll fight the world until they've won and love comes flowing through.”
the children of ST come to save the day yet again.
Diary Of A Madman - Ozzy Osbourne: “Sanity now it's beyond me, there's no choice. Diary of a madman.”
“Do you ever feel like you’re losing your mind?” “Uuuhm, you know… just on a daily basis.”
Megalomania - Black Sabbath: “Well I feel something's taken me I don't know where, it's like a trip inside a separate mind. The ghost of tomorrow from my favorite dream is telling me to leave it all behind. Feel it slipping away, slipping in tomorrow. Got to get to happiness, want no more of sorrow.”
another description of Vecna’s curse, more specifically when he’s about to kill you. gotta get to happiness like when Max was hearing her favorite song and thought of only good memories.
Flight Of Icarus - Iron Maiden:
this one seems more metaphorical. The story of Icarus being flying too close to the sun (or fighting against Vecna) resulting in his demise.
Johnny B. Goode - Chuck Berry: “Who never ever learned to read or write so well, but he could play a guitar just like a-ringin' a bell.”
again, our mans not getting good grades and being held back in school, but MAN can he play guitar (allegedly. just a tiny bit salty we didnt get to hear him play in vol. 1)
Separate Ways (Worlds Apart) - Journey:
JUST. THE TITLE. THE SONG. THE FEELING. THE ENERGY. THE ATMOSPHERE. TELL ME IM WRONG.
LOOK OKAY. i know this was unhinged and honestly this was a lot longer than i thought it was gonna be and agaaiiinnn. this is all speculation bc i was suspicious of how quickly this playlist was privated and i’m fully aware i’m reading way too far into a fucking playlist. but also you’re gonna look at me and tell me that i’m wrong??? AM I WRONG????? the man told the entire story through SONGS ON A PLAYLIST. my theory is Eddie dies bc of course he does. everyone loves him and we all should know by now that we can’t have nice things ever. OR. he’s about to die at Vecna’s hand when he’s saved, and either gets trapped in the upside down or (assuming the Duffer bros follow through on basing Eddie off Damien Echols) he’s arrested and sent to prison…
anyway. if you made it this far into this post, hell yeah ily. i didn’t include like half the playlist (if you can believe that) bc they either weren’t relevant (all the love songs bc they didnt show much love interest for Eddie) or i would have just been repeating myself even more than i already was. i would like to shake this man’s mf hand for curating such a well thought out playlist, while simultaneously apologizing for overstepping a boundary he set in place… 😅

Survey #341
“anger, misery, you’ll suffer unto me”
Would you risk your life to save a total stranger? I don't think so. Have you ever trashed your ex’s car after an argument? No, and I never would. Grow up. Have you ever done something because of peer pressure you are ashamed of? I don't believe so, no. Have you ever been embarrassed to introduce your parents to anyone? No. Would you leave a note on a car claiming responsibility if you damaged it? Yeah; guilt would eat me alive otherwise. Have you ever used someone's handicapped parking pass to get a parking spot? Fucking ew, no. Have you ever held back a well-deserved compliment because you were jealous? No. Do you guilt people into giving you what you want? Ugh, no. Would most people consider you better than average looking? Ha, no. For yourself, would you rather have a perfect body or high IQ? Give me the perfect body, living in my horrible one has affected my mental health badly enough. I'm fine with having a moderate IQ. I just want to feel happy in my own skin. Have you ever embarrassed some intentionally in public? Wow, no. Have you ever used a false ID? Also no. Are you embarrassed to tell people your job? I'm embarrassed to tell people I don't HAVE a job. Do you remember the first conversation you had with the person you have feelings for? I don't. I'm sure it was RP-related and not friendly, but I don't remember the exact convo. Have you ever got a D or F on your report card? I want to say no; I think the lowest I ever got was a C. If you had twins, would you give them rhyming names? Ugh, no. I'm sorry if you're into it, but I'm just not. I would want to ensure they knew their uniqueness and individuality was seen. Is there anyone that you wish was IN your life who used to be? There's a large number of those kinds of people. What brings out the worst in you? Probably when I'm building up towards a PTSD meltdown. I get VERY short and snappy and am convinced everyone hates and wants to leave me. My mouth also has NO fucking leash, and I know I can say very mean things that I'll regret later. What do you prefer, Skittles or Starbursts? Skittles. Mike & Ikes or Jolly Ranchers? Jolly Ranchers for sure. What is your favorite thing to eat with peanut butter? Waffles (with syrup). Don't knock it 'til you try it, I'm telling you. What are some wild animals commonly found where you live? Besides birds obviously, there's squirrels, deer, opossums, raccoons... Have you ever had a lucid dream? I think I've had just one. What's your biggest problem at the moment? Probably my anxiety having stunted my growth in so many areas. Have you ever turned down a job offer? I don't think so, no. What's the longest hospital stay you've had? For what? I think my longest was almost two months for suicidal thoughts. Two months might sound long, but it was like... my third or so psych hospital stay for that same reason. What's something really basic that you're terrible at? Even the most simple math. I don't even know the majority of my elementary multiplication tables. Have you ever hugged someone for over a minute? Yeah. Would you ever get a tattoo on your collar bone? I have one there already, but I plan on getting it covered because it was an impulse tattoo that I feel no connection towards. Have you ever searched for your house on Google Earth? My old house, yeah. Are you a beach, country, or city person? Country. Living in the suburbs has definitely reminded me of that... Are you faster at text messaging or typing on the computer? Typing, by a long shot. I make typos texting too much. Have you ever kissed anybody who had a mustache? Yeah. Who is the last person that you said "I love you" to, besides family members? Sara. When was your first real relationship? Sophomore year of high school to early college. Have you ever cried over an ex? I've cried the entire mass of water on Earth over an ex lmao. Have you ever kissed someone of the same sex? Yes. Is there something really bad that you’ve done, that only YOU know about? No. Have you ever copied someone else’s homework? I think I have once or twice, but obviously with consent. What’s a hobby you would like to try out? If my legs worked like actual legs and I didn't sweat like an absolute pig, I would like to try out herping, but without actually interacting with the animal like picking it up and scaring the daylights out of it. I'd just be happy enough looking for reptiles, amphibians, and inverts to photograph instead. Does that still even count as herping? What was the last event you attended? My youngest niece's birthday party. How about the last event you organized? I've never organized an event. What’s something you get excited about doing and want to do it right away? Whenever I take nature pictures, I'm immediately keen to get them into Lightroom and do the postproduction. Is there anything you feel you’re better at than anybody else? Definitely not. What’s the biggest insect you’ve ever seen? If you exclude places like the zoo, that would probably be a rhinoceros beetle or something. Oh no, actually some kind of local moth I don't know the name of. They're beautiful big white boiz. How about the biggest spider? I might be mis-remembering, but I believe at a reptile convention I went to with Sara, one of the vendors had a goliath bird eater tarantula in one of the cups. I do know it was some tarantula species for sure, though. Who was the first person to break your heart? My dad. Obviously not romantically, but him just splitting on the family with no proper communication absolutely broke my heart for years. First person to give you flowers or candy on Valentine’s day? I'm sure that would be my parents. If you exclude them 'cuz that's kinda obvious, I believe it was Aaron, my first boyfriend. I'm pretty sure we were together on Valentine's Day, because I remember getting him a giant Hershey's Kiss. First band you obsessed about? I wasn't truly obsessed with any band 'til Ozzy in middle school. Can you do a backflip? No; I've never tried and never will. I was and still am too afraid of breaking my neck. Like I have a MASSIVE fear of paralysis, particularly from the neck down; that fear is actually the biggest one that keeps me from driving, fun fact. Are you an optimist or a pessimist? Of the two, definitely a pessimist, but I at least think I align most with being a realist. What’s the biggest lie you’ve told someone? I'm unsure. Have you ever been hit on by someone of the same sex? Yeah. How many doors are in the room you’re in? Just one. Have you ever been engaged and broke it off? No. Has anyone ever drawn a picture of you? Tyler once drew a picture of him and me. It was cute. That guy still dove in WAY too fast. Have you ever dated a redhead? I haven't, but I love redheads. Natural red hair is just gorgeous. What are your thoughts on facial hair on guys? Historically, I seem to generally like some, but it really depends on the guy's general appearance. I can like none at all or a full beard and mustache, it doesn't really matter to me. Did you go anywhere today? No; my mom is in Florida with her brothers totally cleaning out Grammy's house, so she's not here to take me anywhere. Do you have any nieces or nephews? Oh yikes, I have a lot. I honestly can't count because I've lost track of how many boys and girls Katie has. You have a choice to shoot your father or die, what would you do? Jesus. I'd rather die; some things just aren't worth living after, and I'd have no desire to keep going if I killed my father. Did you ever cry at the end of King Kong? I've never watched it, actually, but I. LOVED. The video game. I haven't played it in years and only faintly remember how it ends, but I don't remember crying. Are you in any amount of pain at the moment? Quite a lot, actually. It's kinda a TMI subject so I won't delve into it, just know I'm hurting like a bitch. What was the last sugary thing you ate? I snacked on some chocolate chips earlier today... which I really shouldn't have done, but I think I had reasonable restraint and didn't totally binge. When was the last time you did something extremely stupid? Who knows, that's not a rare occurrence, it feels like. Have you been to any parties lately? Only my niece's bday party in February. Thankfully it was kept pretty small, given Covid; not that anyone in that family besides my sister gives a flying fuck about precautions, though... Can you touch your pinky to your thumb around your wrist? Ugh, no. Close, but not enough. I still have thin wrists and hands, but yeah, yay for being overweight. If you were to start a charity, what would you call it? I'd hve to put more thought than I'm willing for one survey question. I'd have to decide what KIND of charity I want to start first, which I'm unsure of. Probably something related to animal wellfare and conservation or something similar to the Trevor Project. Maybe LBGTQ+ youth disowned by their families... I dunno. There's so much good I wish I could do. Are you comfortable with your body? Holy fuck no. It's only gotten worse since I started gaining weight again and almost entirely erased all weight loss progress I'd made. What is your recent inside joke? Most recently made? Idk, man. I don't make those often. Would you rather be a human, vampire, or a werewolf? Er, I'm good with being a human. If I was a vampire or werewolf, I wouldn't exactly be very welcomed, I'm sure, and both have seemingly painful traits to cope with. Are you good at giving directions? It is absolutely impossible for me. I have NO sense of direction, like, at all. I don't know highway names, local exits, etc. etc. etc. etc. Why did you last curse? Pain when readjusting myself due to aforementioned issue I'm having. What is your purpose in life? I hope it involves animals and spreading words of peace and an appreciation for art. What is one of your weak points? I'm very, very, very dependent on others. I'm really working on trying to correct that. I can barely do shit on my own as is. Who was the last person you heard snoring? My cat, haha. Would you rather shower by yourself or with another person? 100% by myself. Another person would just get in the way and make me VERY self-conscious of my body, even if it was my romantic partner. Just please leave me alone to hate myself for 10 minutes. :^) What was your last addiction? You could say my current one is John Wolfe, a really funny let's player I've gotten into. Been bingeing some of my favorite games he has playlists of for a few weeks now. You are in a tank full of spiders, what do you do? Well one, I'd like to know what kind they are. Venomous? Harmless? You gotta give me the details. If I don't have any, then I'm admittedly freaking the fuck out, even though I know I should stay very calm when trying to get out. Fear would win, though. If killing yourself meant saving the world, would you? Saving the world from what? But odds are, yeah. I don't cherish my pretty damn mediocre life more than I do the lives of what, 8 billion people? Have you ever stayed up all night just to talk to someone? Yeah. When was the last time you eavesdropped someone? I kinda do that sometimes when Mom's on the phone and I can hear her from my room, and if they're on speaker. Particularly if the subject is me. When was the last time you went to a club? I've never been to one. How have you been sleeping? Poorly. Are you adopted? No, I'm not. Do you like scrapbooking? Not really, no. Do you collect anything valuable? "Valuable to me." <<<< This. Nothing of great monetary worth, though. Have you ever been beaten up? No, thankfully. Do you know anyone with an eating disorder? I don't think so, in my personal life. What was the last thing you killed? An ant. Have you ever used someone for money? I never could, no. When was the last time you went to the zoo? Sigh, it's been many many years. I'm so ready to get my goddamn legs back in shape so I can go again, this time with a REAL camera, too. Last time I went was when I still only had a Kodak EasyShare; I have a professional Canon camera now with much more education on photography too, so I would be in absolute heaven with at least twenty memory cards in need, haha. Maybe next fall... Is there a teacher you hate more than anything? I actually never had a teacher I hated in my entire school career. It really, really is as simple as just being a respectful student. In most cases, I should emphasize, because I do understand some educators just suck. Now I had some teachers I wasn't very fond of, but most certainly none that I hated. Do you own colored eyeliner? No. Do you have manners? I honestly think I'm very mannerly. When was the last time that you had a pet that died? We last had to put my dog Teddy down; he had cancer and was literally withering away. I knew in my very core that even if we didn't bring him to the vet to euthanize him, he would've died naturally in a very short period of time; I doubt he would've survived another night. Now I'd like to move on. What is your favorite medication that you take, and why? The combination of Vraylar and Lamictal is the reason I'm alive. It keeps my bipolarity and depression under control. Do you decorate Mason jars? No, but those are some of my favorite crafts visually. They're very pretty and cute. Can you see the mountains from where you live? Oh hunny, I wish. Did you ever play pranks on April Fool’s Day? As a kid, yeah. I don't anymore. I'm not really even a fan of April Fool's Day as an adult because of how cruel some jokes assholes play are. Which instrument would you play if you could learn to play one? Maybe violin. Do you part your hair on the left side, right side, or in the middle? The left. What are some names you like that start with the first letter of your name? Uhhhh Bianca, Braelynn (look I know it's so stereotypically Southern but it's pretty)... and idk from there, those are the two that come to mind first.

Classis Album Review: Metallica - ...And Justice For All
Tumblr media
The fourth studio album from Metallica; recorded January – May at One on One Recording Studios in Las Angeles, California, and released on August 25, 1988 …And Justice for All (Elektra) amounted to the end of Thrash Metal as it was known at the time. Helping to mold the genre, Metallica, with this record, effectively brought it to its logical conclusion.
Not only was the album a natural progression of the band’s sound – starting with Kill ‘Em All (1983), through Ride the Lightening (1984) and Master of Puppets (1986) –  …And Justice for All was progressive metal (before there was such a thing). When Cliff Burton unexpectedly died in 1986, Metallica was searching for an outlet of sorts, I think, and with this record came an unleashing of rage and torment. It features staggering complexity, fast tempos, multiple time changes per track, eight or more riffs per track, and lyrics concerned with politics, the environment, legal injustice, censorship, and war. Jason Newsted was tapped for the bass position, though the final mix of the record nearly filtered him completely out. Blame for this fact flies all around, but I think it’s a sign of the struggle on behalf of Hetfield and Ulrich (and to some degree, Hammett) to cope.
Though the lyrical content of …Justice covered new ground, this record is all about the instruments! Specifically, nasty riffs, percussion, and double bass. Speaking of double bass, Lars’ double kicks on this album, have been dubbed, double “paper bass.” I love how they sound! The song “One” was the first music video for Metallica and was seen as an anti-war rant. The track “To Live is to Die” is a bass medley of unused recordings by Burton. Newsted played the medley that Burton wrote on the album. All lyrics on the record were written by James Hetfield, except the Spoken Word on “To Live is to die,” posthumously credited to Cliff Burton. All other music is credited to Hetfield Ulrich, and Hammett (Newsted gets co-credit on Blackened).
…Justice reached Gold in Norway; Platinum in Argentina, Finland, New Zeland, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom; 2X Platinum in Australia and Germany; 3X Platinum in Canada; and 8X Platinum, selling 8 million copies in the United States.
Favorite Songs: Blackened; …And Justice for All; Harvester of Sorrow
Rating: 10/10!! And quite possibly my favorite Metallica album!
Stay Metal,
THE SAW

TW: Mentions of Rape, Violence, and Death
I’m back with another music recommendation and this time it is the album “... And Justice for All” by Metallica
Tumblr media
Track Listing:
1. Blackened 6:41
2. ...And Justice For All 9:47
3. Eye of the Beholder 6:30
4. One 7:27
5. The Shortest Straw 6:36
6. Harvester of Sorrow 5:46
7. The Frayed Ends of Sanity 7:44
8. To Live is to Die 9:49
9. Dyers Eve 5:13
Total time: 65:33
Notable Tracks: Pretty much all of them
This was the first Metallica album I listened to in its entirety and let me tell you it is the very definition of a masterpiece. The album was named after the last words of the Pledge of Allegiance to draw attention to the lyric’s criticism of the justice system, freedom of speech, nuclear war, and war in general.
This album starts of aggressive with the song “Blackened” which depicts a quite bleak and realistic look at what the planet will look like if we allow pollution to continue. The album then continues to get more aggressive as it goes on with tracks such as “... And Justice for All”, which deals with the corruption in our legs system and problems with our freedom of speech being restricted, and of course the ever so popular track “One” ,which details the last days of a wounded soldier .
This album is an absolute master class when it comes to hard and heavy metal mixes with beautiful and meaningful music.
Sadly, after this album, the dinamic of Metallica would change forever as the Bassist Cliff Burton would die after a bus crash. Dispite this sad death, we can at least feel easy because his contributions to music and this album will live on forever and within every metal fan. As long as metal and rock lives on, Cliff’s spirit will live on.

@nimblermortal the first three have sufficient amount of strings, and from then on, i just feel like there should be strings involved, which usually means a lot of pipes, so it might not be what you're looking for, at all
(not listing The London Double Bass Sound, since i only know them from covers of pop songs, so the relative softness of any of their tracks is easily established)
also, i have no idea how soft pudding is when it comes to music, so i erred on the side of caution
Scorpions & Berliner Philharmoniker: Wind of Change, Lady Starlight (they're probably the softest on this list apart from The London Double Bass Sound, but only if you stick to Moments of Glory. They're more rock than metal, but in this case, adding metal usually adds strings, so it might not help much)
Metallica S&M: Nothing Else Matters, Until It Sleeps
Apocalyptica: Bittersweet, Helden, Hall Of The Mountain King
Saltatio Mortis: Choix des Dames, Dessous Les Pontes De Nantes, Varulven (also, i remembered correctly, they're less strings and a lot of bagpipes, so probably not what you're looking for, sorry)
In Extremo: Liam, Hol Die Sterne, most of their historical pieces
Ensiferum: Ferrum Aeternum, Tears, Forever Sleep, Lai Lai Hei
Equilibrium: Widars Hallen is the only one that I know that might be stretched to qualify as soft, and as the ones above, more pipes than strings, but it does fullfill the 'no idea what the lyrics do' requirement?
Rhapsody: Magic Of The Wizard's Dream, find a version with both Christopher Lee and an Orchestra
Blind Guardian: Bard's Song, Lord of the Rings, Mordred's Song, Harvest of Sorrow, Sacred Worlds (honestly, there's a lot, and a lot of them have strings. they also care a lot about lyrics, but i don't think it's too obtrusive, especially since there's a lot of melody and solos and stuff. i'd not recommend Battalions of Fear or Follow the Blind, but otherwise, they're definitively on the softer side of metal) (also, i love them a whole damn lot, in case you couldn't tell...)
i hope that's at least somewhere to start from? i can try adding links, once i get home from the dread of job interviews
ETA: the instrumental stuff on Blind Guardian's Legacy Of The Dark Lands is gorgeous, and there's a lot of strings

Mito.  “Do grego mythos significa discurso, narrativa, boato, legenda, fábula, apólogo. A palavra "mito" possui diversas acepções. Entre nós, é frequentemente utilizada com o sentido pejorativo: uma narração fabulosa e fictícia, contrária à verdade.  Nesse sentido, "mito" equivale a engano, falsidade.
Etimologia (origem da palavra mito). Do latim mythos; mythus.i, "fábula, história".

…And Justice for All is the fourth #studio #album by #heavy #metal #band Metallica, released on August 25, 1988, by Elektra Records. It was the band’s first studio album to feature bassist Jason Newsted after the death of Cliff Burton in 1986. …And Justice for All is musically progressive, with long and complex songs, fast tempos, and few verse-chorus structures. The album is noted for its sterile production, which producer Flemming Rasmussen attributed to his absence during the mixing process. The lyrics feature themes of political and legal injustice seen through the prisms of censorship, war, and nuclear brinkmanship.
The album’s front cover, designed by Stephen Gorman on a scheme by James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich, features a representation of Lady Justice, bound by ropes, with one breast bare and its scales tipping toward one plate filled with money. The phrase “…And Justice for All” appears spray-painted in the lower right corner. The album title is derived from the American Pledge of Allegiance. Originally released on one vinyl disc, the album was quickly re-released as a double album without additional tracks. Three songs from the album were released as singles: “Harvester of Sorrow”, “Eye of the Beholder”, and “One”, while the title track was released as a promotional single.
