does your pjo au take place in the same timeline as the books (like percy is the great prophecy kid) or is it its own thing with no canon characters (like craig v. tweek v. kenny is the great prophecy kid)? bc on one hand i think it would be hilarious to imagine clarisse and cartman fighting for counselorship, but on the other tweek freaking out about being the "hero" is just too funny

also theres not really A Protagonist either for me everyone gets their time to shine :] however craig/tweek/kenny DO get the children of the big 3 treatment as in the stakes are higher for them. tweek freaking out about the risk of being a zeus kid is very much real and true hehe

Ok this might be an unpopular opinion but someones gotta say it...

Cassandra is a better Casey Jones than Casey Jr

Ive gotta be honest... i think casey jr is a kinda mid and i dont particularly think all the fanfare about him is warranted LOL

I want to note real quick that i dont DISLIKE him! He is a good character who only got as much development that a 2 hour movie could give him, and he filled and satisfied the role he needed to play in the movie, but the way the fandom latched onto him over the og casey... kinda makes me raise a brow

Fandom spaces love a traumatized boy from the future, and believe me i do too! But the amount of attention given to casey jr after being revealed as casey is a wild amount compared to the amount of attention the original casey gets. Maybe its just me getting into rottmnt after the movie aired, but this seems a little baised?

Not only that, but the amount of... idk the best way i can think to describe it is infantilization of casey jrs character isnt helping my opinion of him. It feels like most content surrounding him babify him and reduce him only to his trauma post movie. I understand that it can be interesting to explore his trauma now that he no longer lives in the literal apocalypse, but it feels strange to see him reduced to someone who cant get around on his own and lives with the turtles when the original pitch for the movies ending has him leave to explore the world, which i feel is very appropriate for him and wish they had kept it in

In the movie when april shows us where the og casey has been and what shes been doing throughout the film, it tells us that casey is friends april which in theory, shouldve also shown us that she and the turtles are friends to some degree as well and should already have her place established within the group as this generations casey jones

However the final shot of the movie is a group shot of the family+casey jr, which subtlety implies that he's the new casey instead, and that this is the main cast moving forward (should it move forward *sob*). While both caseys being considered in the main cast could be true, it does strike me as a little odd that this was the final direction the rot team decided on for the official ending versus the scrapped ending, especially because it complicates the pre-established canon. It wouldve been one thing if our og casey was a different character, but that isnt the case.. y... (<_<)

Casey jr is an interesting character though! And i can understand why he appeals to fans, especially as his character post movie is fun to expand on aswell as developing his past involved with future versions of the main5, but one (me lol) could argue that the og casey is just as interesting of a character to delve into as she was involved, when you boil it down, a cult most of her life, and that concept, as well as the guilt she could hold for working with the foot and releasing the shredder, ontop of trying to befriend and gain the turtles and aprils trust are also intriguing concepts that could be explored, yet finding content that mentions her at all beyond her relation to casey jr is scarce

It feels as though shes been reduced to a background character within the fandom despite being a reoccuring character for the entire show.

For the two seasons of rottmnt that we did get, we are shown just what kind of character casey is and her possible dynamics with the turtles+april. Shes passionate and powerful and beyond determined to prove her worth and reach her goals. Shes also playful and reckless, a side that fits well with the main cast and their humor and, if the show was given more time, couldve developed naturally as the newest addition to the family as most caseys are. I could also argue that her characterization fits that of previous caseys more than casey jrs does (though i will admit that considering the plot of the movie, i cant positively say what hed be like outside of life or death scenarios, but i also cant imagine hes going to make a 180 in personality without it feeling jarring and ooc)

Now, i wont ignore the fact that her arc was cut horribly short and her involvement in the movie was quite literally a brief mention, both of which definitely play into how under appreciated she is. But at the same time it almost feels like everyone, including the show runners, have willingly pushed her aside for this new boy version to fill the role of casey jones. Hell, even when you look up rottmnt casey jones, cassandra barely shows up. Its casey jr which further proves my point

Idk, TLDR im pretty disappointed that despite being a consistent character for the entire show, no one seems to write or acknowledge her and if she is mentioned, its only relevant to push forward casey jrs character development or a brief cameo. As much as i do love casey jr (i can feel like hes mid and i can like him!) it seems like most people forget about the original casey, or favor casey jr in her place and she deserves more love and credit than shes given!

one aspect about them i love

Yuri: how despite it all she still deeply remains a 16yo girl and how even her trauma and reactions to it reflect that

Nise: her thing with Hayabusa

Yu-chan: his fear of heights. hard same, big man. it puts everything differently for him like, everyone else is like uwaah it's high and the lad is 10 seconds away from passing out and still kicking ass hard

Kuon: the way she's ruthless in a way even the villains find disturbing. I suppose it's not surprising coming from me but it's really what makes her character so compelling 🙏

Rika: I love everything about him help god if I have to mention only one here.... his unconditional love for Yuri. He'll do anything for her. He'll brag about her to near strangers. He'll die if it means protecting her. He's ready to lay down his life if it means she won't be abandoned the way he was. He taught her everything. She means everything to him. He's just. He's so!! you know?

Senya: his obsession with space!! The way he goes ":O an alien!!" at literally anything. Cutie.

Shika: she's the only person that asked to be taken. She didn't know shit about what was on the other side she just knew Shintarou had disappeared and she wanted him back and that was enough. Impulsive but oh so badass.

one aspect i wish more people understood about them

Yuri: She's only 16!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cut her some slack!!!!!!!!!! I hate how people (irl/fandom) judge her actions when!!!! they make sense? regarding 1) her age, 2) her personality, 3) it was in the heat of action most often than not. Of course she's imperfect! She's a 16yo kid tasked to keep the entire world running!! Bitch!!!

Nise: she has extensive traumas from before the realm and she's more than just a "knife lesbian"

Yu-chan: he's completely and utterly pathetic (I say this with love). Also. very important to me. He's not a fucking perv. He kills pervs. Come on!!!!

Kuon: she is absolutely and completely terrifying

Rika: he is the damsel in distress. He is the Mary Sue. He is the coolest. He's everything fandom has pushed onto the other mains 😤 (still accurate but slightly more desperate answer: he exists in the story. haha. *cries*)

Senya: I don't know how to say this. I haven't seen a lot of people talk about arrive, apart from you and Choco. I saw some complaints once but I don't remember them much, only that my reaction to them was he's 14. he's a baby. he's a freaking KID. So there you go.

Shika: never saw anyone talk about her i have no idea what way people misinterpret her :v

Globally, though, what I wish people would remember are the characters' age. A lot of actions they take make sense once you keep their ages in mind. And from the way they're written, it's clear Miura keeps it in mind - so y'all should too.

Yuri: "what's the point of being bi if you only like boys who look like girls" (aka she is weak for pretty boys)

Nise: post-canon the Honjo fam take her and Hayabusa in until she can accomplish her dream of having her own place. She then stays friendly with them (Honjo parents) throughout her life

Yu-chan: caffeine addict. He spends the entire time in the high-rise world with a killing headache bc unlike his cigs he can't get his coffee fix

Kuon: After all is said and done she starts experimenting with her appearance in the psychic realm. What's the point of being incorporeal if she can't have fun with that

Rika: He wants to get in law so that situation with his father's will doesn't happen again. (flimsy hc i have thought about exactly once in my life but it's the only one that comes to mind atm)

Senya: Has cried to his parents to "buy a star" at some point (you know that program that lets you buy/name a star? that.)

Shika: metalhead just needing the slightest push to awaken

i'm curious, what's your opinion about Stenny? or main4 poly? (or alternatively, main5 poly. because we do love Butters <3)

i like stenny! it doesn't capture my interest as much as style does, but there are definitely some good stenny moments in the show that make their dynamic interesting. stenny friendship is also a huge thing for me. kenny is a good emotional support friend for stan when he needs someone to just listen to him instead of trying to help him fix his shit. stan is a mellow bro who kenny knows he can chill with without all the drama attached. for me it's more of a brotp, though if i'm writing them sometimes i like to sprinkle in some past experimenting or FWB stuff. in my really long fanfic ecstasy they fooled around together in high school for the hell of it and are still really tight friends.

stylennyman is a mixed bag for me, but i do like it. @brovlofskis and i have a couple AUs we've come up with that have main4 poly, but they tend to end up looking more like style x kenman. i think the main boys all work really well together and having them in a poly relationship would be fucking hilarious, my only hang up is i don't see kyle being sexually or romantically attracted to cartman. however, poly relationships take many forms, and even with this in mind it could still work! for example, kyle could be dating stan and kenny, who are also dating each other and cartman. or, kyle and stan could be dating each other with kenny as a third, and kenny is also with cartman.

i actually had a main4 poly fic idea a couple months back where stylenny are together and do BDSM. kyle is a dom while stan and kenny are both switches, but no one is a true sub. stan and kenny consider bringing cartman (the biggest sub on earth) into the group, and kyle agrees on the terms that they don't force him to join during sexual play. eventually however kyle realizes cartman is something of a 24/7 sub if you know how to wrangle him, and BDSM doesn't have to always be sexual. kyle can order him around and degrade him in a non-sexual setting and this kind of relationship just works for them. like "get on your hands and knees," then kyle relaxes on the couch with stan and kenny under his arms and his feet up on cartman's back as they watch a movie. it's all consensual of course, even if cartman is a huge brat about it.

this all kind of taps into my ideas about kyman brotp, which i actually really enjoy exploring. things like cartman doing crazy shit and egging kyle on because he sees him as the closest thing to a fatherly authority figure and needs kyle to reign him in since he can't control himself. one day i'll explore this further with a legit fic, but for now there's just this idea of kyle putting him in his place and cartman getting some backwards form of satisfaction out of it.

i have similar feelings toward main5 poly, which basically boils down to style x bunnyman. i mostly think of style as being very monogamous, whereas cartman, kenny, and butters would be more open and loose. i do also like stutters, so i think that fits nicely, but like cartman and kyle, i don't think kyle would have any romantic or sexual feelings for butters. cartman's kind of marked him as his territory XD

Hello mods!♡ I hope it's alright that I'm sort of asking two different HCs, but since they're so closely related: what are your headcanons to how the three from the Main5 who don't get called by their first names (Van, San, Lupin) would react to when Cardia finally does so? And for San, rather: do you have any thoughts about Cardia actually giving him a name of his own, and do you have any HCs as to what it could be? :> I've been thinking about these scenarios and just find them the sweetest.

I’ll call it Van, Saint Germain and Lupin React to Being Called by Their First Names. As always, let us know if this needs anything. 

In regards to Saint Germain: We actually talked about this a bit on the blog before. Referencing this post, Mod Cheshire and I said that the theory is Saint Germain is the bastard child of a Transylvanian Prince. If this theory is correct, his name would be Leopold George. I’ve yet to play or see anything that could debunk this claim (since I am avoiding spoilers of Future Blessings until its English release). So for now, let’s say that the headcanon is Leopold George. 

Arséne Lupin: Cardia calls Lupin by his first name not long after they are married. She had been thinking about doing so for a while now, then finally decides to make the change this morning. Cardia gets up early and makes breakfast, then says, “Good morning, Arséne” when he comes down stairs to eat. Lupin opens his eyes wide for a minute, but then a smile blooms across his face. He gets up and holds Cardia close, then says: “It’s been so long since I’ve heard someone say my name with such tenderness. You’ve given me a wonderful gift just now, madamoiselle. I’ll spend my entire life repaying it.” 

Abraham Van Helsing: Cardia actually calls Van by his first name while they’re arguing. Cardia is upset with Van for being reckless and hurting himself while protecting the Queen, but Van refuses to let her treat his wounds. Cardia gets so fumed that she eventually just shouts. “ABRAHAM!” really loudly in order to get his attention. Van immediately turns around and stares at her, but she’s so mad she can’t even focus. Tears are streaming down her face when she says she wants him to be safe. Van eventually hugs her and listens, but he says: “You said my name…I loved it. Next time, I’ll make sure you say it sweetly.” 

Saint Germain: Saint Germain, not long after he and Cardia became an item, confides in her that his first name is Leopold. He had gone through so many, but he always remembered his first name, as it was special to him. Cardia asks if that’s what she could call him, but Saint G says she can call him whatever she wants. Cardia then takes a deep breath and says “Leopold” out loud, then kisses his cheek. Saint Germain is so overcome with emotion that he buries his face in Cardia’s shoulder to compose himself. Then he says: “It’s been so long, but hearing you say my name makes me feel human and whole again. Thank you.”

• What is the Boueibu Characters Week?

It's a week dedicated to sharing our love for boueibu characters through any kind of creative media (fanart, fanfiction, edits, etc.). You'll get a number of prompts for each day and a suggested character to work with.

• When will the week begin?

The Characters Week will be on 15th~21st January 2018. • Am I forced to draw a different character every day?

Absolutely not! While each day contains a prompt that is more specific to a certain character (i.e.: En/Naps), you are allowed to draw any character you want and use any prompt you wish (so you may, for instance, use the 'Naps' prompt and draw Yumoto instead of En). You can even draw the same character for the whole week, if you want! :)

• Am I allowed to do multiple prompts on the same day?

Of course! ^^ • Am I allowed to choose a different prompt than those given for each day? No, you may only choose one or more prompts among the 3/4 given for each day. You can't mix different prompts and different days together.

• Can I choose other characters besides the main10? Yes, you can use any character you want as long as it's canon, including Goura, the Loveless, the aliens, side characters and background characters.

• Are the recently revealed characters from Happy Kiss allowed? No, only the characters that appear in s1 and/or s2 are allowed.

• Can I use OCs? OCs can be mentioned in an artist's note or have a minor role in a fanfiction. The spotlight and focus must be reserved to a canon character, though.

• Am I allowed to draw more than one character in the same picture?

Yes, as long as the interaction is meant to represent friendship and not romance. Kisses and such are therefore not allowed. • So are ships banned from the week? Ships can be implied as long as the picture doesn't portray both characters fully. For instance, Ryuu holding a plush of Io is fine, Ryuu holding actual Io in his lap is not. Ships are allowed in fanfictions as long as the POV is exclusive to one character and his feelings are the main focus.

• Is NSFW allowed?

Yes, it's allowed as long as you put it under a cut on Tumblr or put a warning for it if it's an external link.

• The Student Council and the VEPPer only get one day for their group. How does it work?

You can draw the whole groups in the same picture as long as a ship isn't the focus. You can also just pick one character for each group and draw him.  Or you can draw none and still draw one or more of the main5 even on the last two days. Finally, you may as well draw the Student Council or VEPPer for the whole week. As you wish!

• What’s the difference between Actors!AU and Movie!AU?

Actors!AU is a sort of meta AU where boueibu follows basically the same plot, but the characters are actually ‘real, human’ actors playing a role in it. Movie!AU is a parody/crossover of any movie (or tv show) with boueibu characters instead (e.g: Titanic!AU).

• How do I submit my work?

You can submit the work on your blog. Tag it as 'boueibucw' in the first 5 tags (or it won't appear in the search), add the day (day1, day2, day3 ...) and what prompt did you use (characterprompt, generalprompt1, generalprompt2, auprompt). You can also send the work via message or submission.
