after becoming general, you weren’t a priority anymore. He ignored you. Soon it was almost as if he forgot about you.

later on, he was informed of a mara-struck territory, it wasn’t ordinary, no. For some reason, it had a familiar feeling, but he’d never been here?

he wandered the place, countless fallen soldiers laid around a certain area. He had to guess whoever did this, had been mara-struck for over 20 years.

it didn’t take him long to find the thing that was doing all this.

his eyes widened, his hands trembling. He wanted to turn around—to never be here again.

his sorrow gaze met yours.

A bit of a sad idea after watching Jing Yuan's animated short, but...

What if, instead of Jing Yuan being struck by the mara and Yanqing having to strike him down, the opposite happens and Yanqing is affected by mara while trying to protect the general?

I know this would just be "The Final Lesson" 2.0, but maybe the Astral Express crew can help, especially since Welt actually remebers what happened in HI3.

Just a way to subvert expectations while still keeping the sad factor. Granted that, if Jing Yuan were to ever suffer the same fate as his master, I'm pretty sure we would try all of the alternatives before actually killing him.

READ BEFORE INTERACTING

He thought he would become Mara struck first. But when yanqing becomes mara stricken, he would be heartbroken.

When he actually has to kill him, he would hesitate slightly. I mean he’s done it before?? He would definitely be upset about it, but it’s part of his life as a long-lived.

If he could, he’s try to keep something of yanqings. I saw a video where he kept Jinglius red Ribbon. The one he used to tie his ponytail.

Now after he had to kill Yanqing, he would be very stoic when he works. He had to act like he didn’t care. But sometimes he gets little to no work done.

When he gets questions like “where’s the lieutenant?”, he would just tell them the truth. It will come out eventually, and he’s rather not sugarcoat it.

Although, He misses when Yanqing would barge into his office, or when he would ask to spar. He also kinda misses training him.

When he goes back into his room, looking at Yanqings sword collection, he’d get a lot of nostalgia. Like, “I gave him this sword” or he reminiscences of yanqing just admiring his swords.

At some point, his life would go on how it did before Yanqing came into his life. But he couldn’t bring himself to get rid of his stuff :)

need to type this out better, but on blade stuff: i am pretty convinced his whole thing about paying prices comes from being killed by Jingliu so many times. specifically the line "remember this feeling of death and bring it to them" kind of makes me wonder if that's the time it came from / the idea that those who made him immortal (i.e Dan Feng) were who he had to kill.

Due to being mara-struck, Blade has limited memories and almost none are positive, so he isn't aware of who exactly Dan Feng was to him most of the time, aside from that he was the one to make Blade immortal. Both of these combined are why he keeps trying to track down and kill Dan Heng - because he cannot separate him from Dan Feng and he feels / knows his purpose is to bring death to those who must pay the price + abominations of the abundance.

They may be made a kid using the blood or bones of Vidhydra, heart of Long and the ambrosial arbor? 

During the transmutation of high elder power to Bailu something went wrong 

Blade became immortal because of Dan Heng/Feng

Bailu created reincarnated Baiheng (their fallen foxing friend Jingliu loved)

Dusk the dragon of abomination that killed many Vidhydra or Blade as the monstrosity?

  However fun to think it was a Renfeng kid that was created and they may look like Dusk if there was one.

I don't know if any lore from Arknight lines up to the theory of Dusk being related to Dan Heng but would love to know from that side of the fandom!

I know the game’s only been out for a couple months but why is there (comparatively) so little fan stuff for Jing Yuan and Yanqing?? Is it because there’s no angst?? Well there’s gonna be.
