Cujo will be released on 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray on October 24 via Kino Lorber. Based on Stephen King's 1981 novel, the 1983 horror film is celebrating its 40th anniversary.

Lewis Teague (The Jewel of the Nile, Cat's Eye) directs from a script by Barbara Turner (Pollock) and Don Carlos Dunaway. Dee Wallace, Daniel Hugh-Kelly, Danny Pintauro, Ed Lauter, and Christopher Stone star.

Cujo has been newly restored in 4K from the original camera negative with Dolby Vision/HDR and 5.1 Surround and 2.0 Lossless audio. Special features are listed below.

In rural Castle Rock, Maine, Vic and Donna Trenton (Daniel Hugh-Kelly and Dee Wallace) struggle to repair their crumbling marriage, while their young son Tad (Danny Pintauro) befriends a hulking, lovable, 200-pound St. Bernard named Cujo. Bart Simpson TidBit: In 1990, Bart quickly became one of the most popular characters on television in what was termed "Bartmania". He became the most prevalent Simpsons character on memorabilia, such as T-shirts. Millions of T-shirts featuring Bart were sold; as many as one million were sold on some days. Believing Bart to be a bad role model, several American public schools banned T-shirts featuring Bart next to captions such as "I'm Bart Simpson. Who the hell are you?" and "Underachiever ('And proud of it, man!')". The Simpsons merchandise sold well and generated $2 billion in revenue during the first 14 months of sales. The success of Bart Simpson merchandise inspired an entire line of black market counterfeit items, especially T-shirts. Some featured Bart announcing various slogans, others depicted redesigns of the character, including Teenage Mutant Ninja Bart, Air Simpson Bart, and RastaBart. Matt Groening generally did not object to bootleg merchandise, but took exception to a series of "Nazi Bart" shirts which depicted Bart in Nazi uniform or as a white power skinhead.

Edna Krabappel TidBit: After the passing of Edna's voice actor, Marcia Wallace, the showrunners were lost. Showrunner Al Jean said, "I was tremendously saddened to learn this morning of the passing of the brilliant and gracious Marcia Wallace." Although Julie Kavner, the was considered to replace Wallace, Jean announced that the show would retire her character.
