I mostly agree with your MAWS takes but. Superman being descended from colonizers who he's never met and raised on a planet that has only interacted with said colonizers twice, in two failed military excursions like. None of that makes him a colonizer or not-an-immigrant? Colonizing is a material system which benefits the colonizer and he is reaping none of Zod's rewards. He's a colonizer because he's clearly integrated into being white on Earth.
Ignoring the fact that in the scene that introduces the Kryptonian Warrior (which is not confirmed to be Zod btw!! Regardless of the "kneel" line) we see a civilization in flames as Braniac tells the warrior "I have found a new planet for you." implying they've conquered several already, and the leaked (?) concept art refers to Krypton as an empire (with Clark's parents being "one of the leaders" of said empire)...
...I think the very concept of Clark not gaining any material benefit or reaping rewards is in itself, an absolution of colonizer guilt by the narrative. It turns him into the sole exception of planet empire. Sure he didn't personally commit atrocities or have connections to that culture, but he is still a Kryptonian. Whether he wants to or not, he inherits that history. ESPECIALLY if he's a direct descendent of its leaders.
That Kryptonian Warrior wears the House of El symbol on their chest. Not the House of Z/Zod. Clark bears that insignia. Within the context of the show already, it is no longer a symbol for hope. It's likely the symbol of an empire.

Okay, I'm not American, so I didn't know this til I looked it up, but apparently Thanksgiving is only a month before Christmas.
This means that in-universe, Christmas is only a month away for the characters, so unless there's a time skip, we could have a Christmas episode.
I hope that Kara is introduced by then, so that she can experience it for the first time and bond with her new family.

Brainstorming Invincible x My Adventures with Superman
Since we don't hear much of the World beyond Metropolis and Gotham existing, I think it's not that hard to transplant MAWS Metropolis to Invincible.
Sam Lane and Amanda Waller are now something like US Military Liaisons to the international Global Defense Agency, not exactly under Cecil, but are allied to them
Mark and Clark are about 4 years in difference? With Clark being 22 and freshly graduated, and Mark being 18 and in his Senior Year.
Events in MAWS happens in the year after Omni Man destroys Chicago. Fic would be around, a few months or so before Season 2 of Invincible, and a few months after MAWS.
Hilariously, Jimmy is less conspiracy theorist and more like that one guy with the correct take on everything all the time.
I wanted to write how I think Clark and Invincible would feel as two people who think they were made to be weapons. One that just THINKS he is a weapon vs someone who IS a weapon of conquest.
On a side note, pretty sure MAWS Superman would be on par with Mark and be clobbered by Omni-Man

Some doodles I've done for MAW! Val and Tylor are amazing protagonists but I'm very happy the show also still gives my hubby Sulley a part of the spotlight. <3

That looks more like Zod than Braniac.
oh that's totally valid to think! and I can absolutely see it, what little we know does fit Zod's typical traits and it would work for an Evil Krypton sorta thing, but for me it's sorta down to two things as to why I think Brainiac - the faceplate thingy opening up in that weird way when they did a big ol' heat vision laser blast(?) that felt. overdramatic for a humanoid face lmao. and more importantly imo, the logo on the machines - and the one on the big bad, how it's just a plain triangle that's maybe raised up -
Tumblr media
and I think they'd show his shield if it were Zod - Zod's crest has been different across adaptations iirc (snyderverse's had sort of a horseshoe/U shape? smallville had a funky Z etc.) so there wouldn't be much given away there for the more casual audience at least - it could look like anything, might even be just a fancy Z similar to the S on Clark (which would be reason to hide it ig. keep the surprise till the end. or maybe that IS the Zod logo here which uh. weird but it could work? eh?)
but also personally my theory all season long has been that Sam/etc. misunderstood the events of Zero Day in some way due to it being Brainiac's doing - with Brainiac being some creation on Krypton (ala TAS, iirc) that rose up and doomed the planet, then sought out other planets for the typical Brainiac reason of putting them in a bottle, and that misunderstanding can be more. well. understandable if Brainiac looked Kryptonian, if he looks somewhat like Supes - the cape, the build, the triangle on the chest, etc.
now don't get me wrong, again, super valid read on things and would make sense, Zod loves him a good conquest, typical Zod Stuff, totally works, and really I'd love it to be him because he might be my second favorite Superman antagonist at this point - really wished he'd shown up in S&L - but I feel this more a Brainiac thing given the machines and how indirect this has all been. and also Zod's been weirdly absent in Supes stuff since MoS for whatever reason
tho there is a chance that it might be Zod and Brainiac which would be kind of wild lmao. could work tho. also thank u for giving me an excuse to speculate on a show I love - I haven't done this out loud in a long time anon and I appreciate u
