Not sure if it helps with sensory overload, too. But I suffer from chronic migraine and when I have a migraine attack and outside noise is agitating it, like construction workers, or loud cars, I go to the website mynoise.net. They have a lot ov very calming noise-blocker drones. I put my headphones on and listen to one or two of these drones for an hour or two. That helps me a lot. Maybe it can help you too. I hope it does! <3

There’s a few slurs coming from characters who aren’t very accepting of the more obviously queer/foreign character(s), but so far I am really enjoying this book!

Important question: Is Carver a "oh no I spilled my orange juice!" Or a "I just realized snakes don't have arms and can't give hugs" kind of breakdown when stressed and sleep deprived???

I feel like the latter would be a Very Specific tired and stressed for Carver which happens pretty rarely and the former would be prob more accurate to how he’d be fkdhgskgd

He’s sleep deprived and stressed and then one slight inconvenience happens and it’s the straw that broke the camel’s back and breaks down

@meiilan thanks for the advice re the succulent!  yeah, the reason i worried it was too hot is because a couple of sources i read said that they do best with temps between 60-90 degrees f and i live somewhere where it’s not going to be below 90 f anytime before probably late october - early november, and i know they love the sunlight but sometimes the heat can be a lot.  i’m just going to keep trying to give her some indirect sunlight and morning sunlight if possible.  i think i will repot her.  i’ve been looking at lots of succulent care videos on youtube and mine (a purple pearl) is supposedly one of the more finicky types of succulent and maybe not the absolute best for an absolute beginner, but I’m going to do the best i can to keep her going... it doesn’t seem as hopeless as it did earlier.

#i didn't realize that being in too much heat when she wasn't used to it could shock her #and so i put her outside for a while because i was worried that she wasn't getting enough sun #and when i brought her back in a couple hours later she was much more droopy... but it was the afternoon sun #meiilan #replies #daily oversharing
